update

hello, if anyone's following me on twt/bsky you'll already know this. i went through a huge depressive episode that nearly killed me.

since then i've been on psychiatric meds for the first time (via the hospital's mental health emergency unit, a tedious but still life-saving process that involved returning to the ER every 3-5 days), and by now i've managed to obtain a therapist and psychiatrist to treat me regularly.

i've been very Not Okay, but i'm starting to be a little better now.

obviously art in general has been on hold since then. i'd appreciate any support anyone can give to cover costs of medication and professionals, as well as extra living costs such as "i don't have the energy to cook even rice so i have to buy takeout".

I get off probation tomorrow in my first county 🥲

It ain’t much cause I’m still Property of the State of Minnesota & Wisconsin till 2026. But man does it feel good to know I’m maintaining the life where I’ve turned everything completely around. (And stayed my ass out of jail for long enough to not have another violation on my record, and a trip to the joint like I was promised if I fucked up again).

Popping in to say sorry I’ve been somewhat MIA as of late.

We’ve all been extra busy at work, but I’m still somehow finding time to work on chapter three of Memory Reboot, lol. I don’t sleep enough, shhh. I can’t say when it’ll be posted though as my beta has been busy as well.

In my good times, I believe I am cured completely of my mental illnesses and my addictions while also forgetting about all of them. It’s exhilarating.

And then my bad times come around, and that belief comes crashing down just like the rest of what feels like my life in those moments. It’s exhausting.

A cycle that I force myself to persevere through in the name of survival.

whenever someone calls USAmerican English the 'movie accent' I remember how somewhere last year I was on a train when suddenly the silence was broken by an american voice behind me somewhere and I immediately thought "Oh no, someones playing their tiktoks out loud again" and automatically turned around to put a face to my annoyance like you do when someones driving bad, and turns out a few rows down were just some actual in the flesh USAmericans having a nice conversation amongst themselves. I am sorry Americans I'm glad they let you out of the phone
