Hello, I'm Lady Charles and my debut album is out! Inspired by the glamorous art rock of David Bowie, Kate Bush and Genesis, the Indie fun of Of Montreal, Late of the Pier and MGMT, and the general strangeness of growing up in a world that doesn't really make sense. If you're interested and check it out, I hope you enjoy it. <3

Seeing Chappell Roan live was the cleansing, joyous experience I knew it would be!
I’m glad I brought my little old DSLR camera to get some decent shots of the performance - or rather, take clear video I can pause and screenshot! Will post a couple videos soon.

trans musicians to listen to: BOY BOWSER
When I was 17, I left my hometown and I changed my name
(I bet your mom would be ashamed, I bet your mom would be ashamed)
I dyed my hair and pierced my nose, became the man I am today
(I bet your mom would be ashamed, I bet your mom would be ashamed)

The fact that Brandi Carlile was born on the first day of Pride means that sometimes things just happen the way they’re supposed to.

The legacy of this largely-forgotten duo of the 1950s that that their reputation of being openly gay in the Lavender Scare era is attributed mostly by word of mouth. I found it very difficult to locate any primary sources on these two, but Queer Music Heritage found a few. A Detroit Free Press clipping on the pair identifies them as Charles Jones and Ray Williams of Mount Vernon, NY.
There's very little info on this duo - Queer Music Heritage and Darryl Bullock, unfortunately, both cite one another in their articles about the duo. QMH, however, pulled up several photos and newpaper clippings about the duo.

The men released several singles between 1954 and 1957, and made a significant stir in the doo-wop scenes in Detroit and New York. Their falsetto voices and reportedly high-energy performances were a staple of the musicians. You can hear the energy in their voices when they sing.

Idk if people still do this but I want to start a rap/emo/hyperpop collective. A group of really creative people with to help each other and work with each other. Inspired by goth boy clique. My goal is to eventually have a live in studio where I can host anyone who wants to record or make something. This will also be very lgbt friendly, and friendly to absolutely everyone else. If ur down comment or something idk how Tumblr works.

I kind of I wanted to post a picture of Lady Gaga. She has been an outspoken member of the community since before it was “cool” for celebrities to be lgbt or even Allies. She’s openly Bi 💙
