It Will Pass
 Found myself saying this a lot last weekend during the 100-mile race. My crew also mentioned it to me several times stating, “this too shall pass” as we worked to navigate the circumstances that surfaced that were not ideal. Those feelings we have, those uncomfortable situations that hurt, and in some situations, downright suck, seem to pass by with time. I find it interesting that it is easier for me to accept these experiences when it comes to these races, however with life, I fight much harder to control the environments. Even though, in most times, the fight is useless. In the race, I know that the hurt will subside but in life, for some reason, it is harder for me to believe that the “hurt” will be over soon.
 A few weeks back I shared some nuggets from a book that I read, The Untethered Soul: A Journey Beyond Yourself. Reflecting on the race, and life, these last few days, as our world continues to revolve with uncertainty, I wanted to share a few more items from that book I feel ma resonate now. This first quote spoke directly to me with respect to the race, but more with how I’ve tried to navigate life.
 “You’re either trying to figure out how to keep things from happening, or you’re trying to figure out what to do because they didn’t happen.” I would add one more on to that, or we are trying to figure out why! Trying to keep things from happening, I associate that with planning and being prepared for what could happen. However, I take a step too far and overanalyze a situation. It can be exhausting and letting go is so much more calming. Going into this race, I trusted my training and had faith that we would be able to tackle anything that may surface, even if it was something that never happened before, or we didn’t think of 😊. Life is all about that, each day, as we navigate these uncertain waters. But in life, unlike the races, my faith in myself, that “life training,” gets lost sometimes. Maybe it’s because its “life” and “not just a race?” But why does it have to have a different value? I think in that particular moment, the circumstance is our biggest moment, isn’t it? Isn’t what we are navigating in the present the most important task we have at hand? It seems that with races, I’ve accepted the fact that the process is going to be very difficult but with life, it is hard for me to believe that it should be “this hard.” It is funny to a degree, has hard as life can be, as much challenges and failures we experience and how things can sometimes suck, we’ve continued to navigate them and get to this point. What’s baffling, from my perspective about it is, I can still question my ability and faith to keep moving forward through these situations. What can be more exhausting is I find myself asking why some of these situations are surfacing and……and, what I may have been able to do to avoid them! Think about that, I am judging myself for not being able to avoid these hard situations. Yep – exhausting! However, in all these situations, at some point in time, I come to the realization that, it will pass and realize it is time to move on.
 “Fear can create a dislike for change. You’ll try to create a world that doesn’t stimulate your fears. You’ll try to utilize the mind in an attempt to manipulate life for the purpose of not feeling fear.” This one had me thinking a lot about a lot!! To begin, the fear thing, I don’t have a problem with change, or fear for that matter. I do have fears and you can break that down in many ways. Fear can describe many things – anxiety, doubt, lost faith or questioning your training for example. I am aware of those fears and in many cases, I accept them. However, and this is interesting, there are circumstances, as mentioned above, that I try to create that world to, maybe downplay those fears, or make them less intense? This occurs and I spend (waste) so much time trying to manipulate the process to make it more comfortable. It doesn’t make sense considering how often we are able to keep moving forward, no matter the challenges, or how uncomfortable circumstances may be. Sure, we want things to be easier but after 48+ years, I know damn well that this stuff is hard and it is supposed to be. So why, why do I work hard to control an outcome when it truly doesn’t matter?
 We’ll close it out on this last quote – likely to help put it into some perspective. Does for me each day I read it.

The emotional breakdown
Some things are just not fitting right, they mess up with your thoughts and emotions, and the imprint of the effect stays for long.... it wrecks you down in a second instantaneously without letting you know... I just know they just happen may be that’s how they are born...
I don’t know whether I am making sense, but I need to spit it out from my system, otherwise it will take control over my intentions and actions....
If not anything, I guess you get the idea of limiting to comfort and getting suffocated in that breeding relationship which makes you so addicted that you know you are getting trapped , but your fear is so powerful that it restricts your freedom....
I think , the problem doesn’t lie in the present or future, but it lies in our past,,, our past that conditions us to act and think in a certain way. A very important element of the past lies in people surrounding us, especially our parents , our well wishers and so called loved society. Society of standards, litigations ,, customs , principle and innumerable abbreviations that wrecks you gradually ..... People term the word as depression and the point of contact as psychotic or mental or suicidal and what not, Things become blank in between ,,,no ray of light,,, no ray of hope. darkness all around.............  these gaps are like thoughts in between incomplete, exaggerating, frustrating, painful that want to flee out of its shells...not remaining ties to its inhabitation of futile desires and countless expectations ... that restricts peace and happiness...
Fixing things take time, patience, desire and a lot of self-belief. This is not a motivational doc where I would ask you to keep going...... because its really difficult....its really taxing to take that stand......and you may push yourself enough for no genuine good. 
I would just ask you to stay , and look after your thoughts as different from yourself. Our thoughts are the contexts of the situations we are facing day and night, sometimes they are good, sometimes they are suffocating and the moment it becomes negative, one thinks themselves as the representation of that thought, which is not true...
This is the most sensitive moment.... this is the test of one’s emotional stability when everything doesn’t happen according to your plan....there is nothing going as per your control... the easiest thing to do might look giving up.
But, I would say don’t take a single piece of action....let it just pass through you... the moment you react , you give the power to it to control your vulnerabilities and insecurities... just don’t overthink on your actions for any reason... Just remember to let it pass...................................................................................
It’s way more important to be emotionally strong than be just headstrong....its the foundation of the very existence.. Build yourself through, but never pity on yourself... for there is nor reason why you should blame yourself or others.. whatever happens, happens in the womb of time and its for a reason...something significant which is difficult to realize now!!!!!!!!!

What are your disturbances?
 Growing up I was never a big reader. I actually disliked it tremendously and did up until I hit about 35. At that point, I felt much needed to be changed in my life and it must start with me. A big part of that step was reading and absorbing it and then starting to practice what I was learning from the courage of others. Today, that practice continues, and I commit to reading for at least 30 minutes most days. Those books that have the most impact on me, either from a professional or personal perspective, I typically note and revisit throughout the year or during a time I may be struggling with a related challenge. However, many times I come across one of those pieces of wisdom, not intentionally, but when it is most needed. Today was one of those experiences and what I am sharing AGAIN, is from The Untethered Soul by Michael Singer.
 “The question isn’t if things will happen. Things are going to happen! The real question is whether you want to be happy regardless of what happens. The purpose of your life is to enjoy and learn from your experiences. You were not put on earth to suffer, you’re helping no one by being miserable. Events don’t determine whether or not you’re going to be happy. You can be happy just to be alive. If you can live this way your heart will be so open and your spirit will be so free.”
 “Don’t let this thing bother you – let it pass.”
 “The exploration of Self is inextricably interwoven with the unfolding of one’s life. The natural ups and downs of life can either generate personal growth or create personal fears. Which of these dominate is completely dependent upon how we view change. Change can be viewed as either exciting or frightening, but regardless of how we view it, we must all face the fact that change is the very nature of life. If you have a lot of fear, you won’t like change. You’ll try to create a world around you that is predictable, controllable, and definable. You’ll try to create a world that doesn’t stimulate your fears. You will try to utilize the mind in an attempt to manipulate life for the purpose of not feeling fear.” “You can do one of two things with fear: you can recognize you have it and work to release it, or you can keep it and try to hide from it. We tend to go through life attempting to create safety and control by defining how we need life to be in order to be okay. This is how the world becomes frightening.” “This may not sound frightening; it may sound safe. But it’s not. If we do this, the world truly becomes threatening. Life becomes a “me against it” situation. When we have fear, insecurity, or weakness inside of us, and we attempt to keep it from being stimulated, there will inevitably be events and changes in life that challenge our efforts. When we resist these changes, we feel like we are struggling with life. We can feel like we are not behaving the way we should, and this event is not unfolding the way we want. We see past situations that are disturbing, and things down the road as potential problems. Our definitions of desirable and undesirable, as well as good and bad, all come about because we have defined how things need to be in order for us to be okay.”
 “We all know that we are doing this, but nobody questions it. We think we’re supposed to figure out how life should be, and then make it that way. Only someone who looks deeper, and questions why we need the events of life to be a particular way, will question this assumption.  How did we come up with the notion that life is not okay just the way it is, or that it won’t be okay the way it will be? Who said that the way life naturally unfolds is not all right?” “The answer is, fear says so. The part of you inside that’s not okay with itself can’t face the natural unfolding of life because it’s not under your control. If life unfolds in a way that simulates your inner problems, then, by definition, it’s not okay. It’s really very simple: that which doesn’t disturb you is okay, and that which does disturb you is not. We define the entire scope of our outer experience based upon our inner problems. If you want to grow spiritually, you have to change that. If you are defining creation based upon the most messed up part of your being, what do you expect creation to look like? It’s going to look like a frightful mess.”
 “As you grow spiritually, you will realize that your attempts to protect yourself from your problems actually create more problems. If you attempt to arrange people, places, and things so they don’t disturb you, it will begin to feel like life is against you.  You’ll feel that life is a struggle and that every day is heavy because you have to control and fight with everything. There will be competition, jealousy, and fear. You will feel that anyone, at any moment, could cause you disturbance. All they have to do is say or do one thing, and the next thing you know there’s disturbance inside of you. That makes life a threat. That’s why you have to worry so much.  That’s why you have all these dialogues going on inside your mind. You’re either trying to figure out how to keep things from happening, or you’re trying to figure out what to do because they didn’t happen. You are fighting with creation, and that’s what makes creation itself the most frightening thing in your life.”
 “The alternative is to decide not to fight with life. You realize and accept that life is not under your control. Life is continuously changing, and if you’re trying to control it, you’ll never be able to fully live it. Instead of living life, you’ll be afraid of life. But once you’ve decided not to fight with life, you’ll have to face the fear that was causing you to fight. Fortunately, you don’t have to keep this fear inside of you. Life creates situations that push you to your edges, all with the effect of removing what is blocked inside of you. That which is blocked and buried inside us all is what forms the root of fear. Fear is the cause of every problem. It’s the root of all prejudices and the negative emotion of anger, jealousy, and possessiveness. If you had no fear, you could be perfectly happy living in this world. Nothing would bother you. You’d be willing to face everything and everyone because you wouldn’t have fear inside of you that could cause you a disturbance.” “You are a great being who has been given a tremendous opportunity to explore beyond yourself. The whole process is very exciting, and you will have good times and bad times. All sorts of things will happen. That’s the fun of the journey.” “Let go. No matter what it is, let it go. So let all of your blockages and disturbances become the fuel for the journey. That which is holding you down can become a powerful force that raises you up. You just have to be willing to take the ascent.”
