As summer waned and autumn's arrival loomed large, the weather embraced a coolness that gently rustled the leaves, adorning the branches with a splendid tapestry of orange, red, and brown hues. Eddy, keenly aware of the fleeting time, diligently worked to plant and gather the bounties of the season. He vowed to avoid a repeat of the harrowing winter that he and Helena endured during their early years together, trapped within a dilapidated structure, plagued by persistent hunger.

Since that trying period, the Harringtons had taken great care in managing their food supplies and finances, ensuring a sense of security.

Lucile's increasing attachment and Silas's newfound dedication to his work and reading had fostered a harmonious shift within their sibling dynamic. Silas was no longer seen as a tormentor but rather a caring elder brother, and Lucile reveled in his presence, cherishing the time spent together.

The newfound rhythm and structure that accompanied the implementation of a proper schedule brought a sense of serenity to the household. No longer were voices raised in frustration or chaos reigning supreme.

Eddy, assuming the mantle of a steadfast father figure, steered the ship with a firm hand, ensuring smooth sailing. The children reveled in the contentment that enveloped them, their hearts brimming with joy.

Eddy was too busy to take a moment to celebrate his birthday, however, Lucile is blossoming into a young lady, and her upcoming birthday loomed on the horizon, filling the air with anticipation.

Helena gracefully emerged from the humble abode, clad in a flowing gown and a cozy shawl, her attire exuding an air of simple elegance. Observing Eddy's adeptness in handling the children, she strolled towards the nearby river where Eddy and Silas were engrossed in their fishing endeavors.

"Eddy, I'll take a leisurely stroll and be takin' young Lucile with me, so you fine gentlemen can relish your fishin' undisturbed," Helena announced, her voice carrying a sense of warmth and affection.

Edward nodded appreciatively, a soft smile gracing his countenance. "Be back afore supper, Dove," he chimed in.

Helena lifted Lucile in her arms, With a nod of affirmation, Helena replied, "Certainly, dear. We'll return in due time."

Please enlighten us with more details about the Fosters. 👀

Oooohoohoohoo, you don't know how juicy of a question that is~

Now I will say that the story of the Fosters is, by in large, far darker than the fanfics I've written in the past. Theirs is not a happy story nor is it really intended to be. I haven't released bios yet only because I wanted to gauge opinions from y'all before releasing anything major about them because, well, there's not a lot of light at the end of the tunnel for them.

But, here's some extra info for y'all that isn't quite as dark as the rest of their story!

All of Lady Helena's children were adopted by her within the span of a month, which she was able to do thanks to the right amount of money going into the right hands for her to pull such an impossible thing off. Daphne was six (6) and the first child adopted; Tobias was eight (8) and the second to be adopted; Friederich was six (6) and the third adopted; Virginia was four (4) and the fourth adopted; Jasmine was seven (7) and the fifth adopted; Nina was barely over a year old and the sixth adopted; and, finally, Seto was a little over two (2) when he was the last child adopted.

The children all live in different rooms, on different floors, in the different wings in Foster Manor. Friederich sleeps on the third floor of the mansion library; Nina sleeps on the second floor of the West Wing of Foster Manor; Daphne sleeps on the second floor of the East Wing while Seto sleeps on the third; Tobias sleeps on the fourth floor of the North Wing while Virginia sleeps on the third floor and Jasmine the second.

The children all attend their town's prestigious private school, Lion Bay Academy, and usually change out of their school uniforms the instant they get home.

Despite the fact they're all supposed to sleep in different rooms, growing up (and even to the present day) they would get together in one of their rooms to have a sleepover together so they could have some sibling time outside of school and dinner.

All of the kids, except for Nina, are wary of Lady Helena's personal servant and majordomo, Forsythe. They all have good reason to be wary so they try to keep conversations brief and to the point with the old man.

The order of oldest to youngest goes as is: Tobias (18), Jasmine (17), Friederich (16), Daphne (16, younger by a few months), Virginia (14), Seto (12), and Nina (11).

Let me know if you guys want me to post their bios! Just remember, this is gonna be far darker than other things I've written before.

As the ladies engaged in lively conversation and savored their tea within the pavilion, Silas and Jackson delighted in their newfound camaraderie. Their youthful laughter echoed through the gardens as they gleefully pursued one another, playing an exuberant game of chase amidst the vibrant blooms. Darting behind clusters of blossoming bushes, their innocent game of hide and seek fostered a swift bond between the young boys, solidifying their fast friendship.

After allowing Josephine some time to settle into her seat, Helena discovered that the young girl had a surprisingly social nature. It turned out that Josephine had a deep passion for painting and indulged in the pleasure of reading books. However, any mention of boys or romantic interests was met with a hint of nausea in her eyes.

Helena noticed the unease on Josephine's face as the young girl gazed somberly into her teacup. Edith, ever the optimist, decided to intervene.

"Chin up, Josephine," Edith encouraged, her voice filled with warmth. "This is a joyful topic we're discussing!" She turned to Helena and explained, "Josephine is simply feeling a bit uneasy because Daniel is already scouting potential suitors for her."

Helena's eyebrows shot up in surprise. Josephine couldn't be more than 9 years old. "Already? But she's so young,"

"We're simply planning ahead, my dear. We want Josephine to have a prosperous life. She's currently learning women's etiquette to prepare her for the future. "

Edith took another sip of her tea, " We'll ensure she has the best opportunities, even if she insists on being a spinster."

After the tea came to an end, Josephine graciously expressed her gratitude to Helena for joining them and took her leave. As they walked towards the front of the estate, Edith accompanied Helena.

Helena, with a graceful gesture, curtsied to Edith, conveying her appreciation for the warm hospitality. "I am immensely grateful for your kind invitation and the wisdom you have shared with me," she expressed.

As Silas attempted to wander off, Helena swiftly scooped him up in her arms, ensuring his safety.

"It's truly no trouble at all, dear Helena. Although it would be best to avoid frequent unannounced visits, as Daniel prefers to stay informed about the ongoings in his absence. We want to keep our husbands happy, yes? But worry not, we shall surely meet again in the near future," Edith assured with a reassuring tone.

With a renewed sense of composure, Helena embarked on her journey back home, a newfound determination blossoming within her. She was resolved to embrace her role as a proper wife and make the necessary changes in her domestic life.

While me and my friend, @disneyfan50 , are still messing around with our Owl House inspired AUs and changing some stuff with season 2 still coming out, decided to maybe at least explain the character roles in the AUs, this one being The Phoenix House, AU on disneyfan’s story, Blue Fire and my series, Descendants: Family Business, with shared elements of our story, Sisters of Fire:

*Helena ‘Haley’ Graves- known as the Phoenix Lady due to the form she takes when her curse is acting up, Haley is one of the few witches left that hasn’t joined a coven yet and as a result, is considered a wanted wayward witch and often has to dodge the emperor’s coven a lot, only getting by through selling human junk through the human portal door she has. But one of these days of selling human junk results in a human coming through the portal, which will change Haley’s life in more ways then one.

*Hadley Tombs- a human from the human realm, Hadley was always known as the oddball of her school, with her love for fantasy often meaning she did many things that weren’t really loved by everyone else, and after a failed book report with snakes and fireworks gets her sent to the principle’s office, her father decides to try and straighten her out through summer camp. However, she wouldn’t go to camp and instead, end up in a world right out of her fantasy books and in the process, her life would change forever...

*Butterscotch- a demon in the form of a three headed dog, Butterscotch has been Haley’s roommate ever since Haley found her while she was on the run and despite being unsure of Butterscotch’s origins, she still took her in and is always amused when Butterscotch insists shes terrifying, when everyone knows shes adorable.

*Coaly- the demon that resides within the house, Coaly is the Phoenix House in some sense, with him residing mainly in the door but still being capable off moving around the house and even in the town and despite being seen as annoying and creepy, Coaly still means well with his helpfulness.

*Ember- Haley’s palisman that she made while she was younger and out of palisman wood, Ember is a Phoenix palisman that has the blue stone Haley had with her as a baby, put in it and when not being used by Haley and Hadley eventually, Ember likes to roam the house and steal human treasures when Haley sends Ember to do so.

*Tiffany Locke- Haley’s foster sister, Tiffany works for the Emperor’s Coven and prefers to not really talk about the fight that led to Tiffany earning her place, as she in present has already reached Coven Leader status. But after losing a fight against her sister, she’d find herself with a new order: to capture her sister, with the promise her curse will be cured, which Tiffany desperately wants to be done.

*Tamora ‘Tammy’ Stronghold- a Hexside student, Tammy was a latebloomer in her magic and was a friend of Fia Peace until the day everything went wrong and ever since, Fia and her friends have been bullying her for failing in Plant Track. But after sneaking Hadley into school, she’s soon moved to Construction Track and becomes Hadley’s best friend.

*Finn Carmichael- a Hexside student, Finn is known for his good grades in the Healing Coven and is also known for his curioustly about the human realm and its treasures and when Tammy sneaks a human in, he ends up befriending the human and becomes a loyal friend.

*Fiorella/Fia Peace- the youngest of the Peace granchildren, Fia is often cold to many around her and used to be friends with Tammy, but when things went wrong when they were children, Fia would turn to picking on Tammy, especially as they got older and Tammy failed Plants Track which Fia excelled at in comparison, but after a few incients with the human, she slowly finds herself changing for the better and in the process, slowly becoming friends with Tammy while slowly falling for the human....

*Blaise and Acacia Peace- the eldest of the Peace Grandchildren, they are known for their mischief and known for using their skills in the Bard Coven to do so, and when it comes to their sister, they vary between getting along or getting back at her if she tells on them.

*Lacey Violet- a Hexside student, Lacey uses her family status often to get away with what she wants and to often pick on anyone around her, with her favorite target being Tammy. When not bullying Tammy, she is excelling at Potions Track and being the schools sport star.

*Nolan Storm- a Hexside student, Nolan has known Lacey since they were children and as a result, always follows what she says, including her bullying, but when it comes to his classes, he does try to excel at Oracle Track at least.

*Surtr Peace- the grandfather of Fia, Blaise and Acacia, he got sole custody of the three when using his connections to get them from his son, and is known to be strict with them and only expecting the best from them, especially Fia, and being from the abomination coven, he owns Peace Industries.

*Lord Cygnus- the ruler of the Isles, he took over after the last ruler was considered unsuited for his power, and installed the coven system, with the punishment for wayward witches being severe. Wanting the human door to further his plans, he will do anything to get it.

*Gwen- Cygnus’ right hand woman, Gwen is a dedicated coven member and is dedicated to ensuring everything goes right to plan, but is known to love it when her colleagues fail, and has a dislike for the Golden Guard after she got more roles within the coven.

*The Golden Guard/Jayla- the child prodigy of the coven, Jayla was taken in by Cygnus when her wild magic almost got out of control, but was given a chance by him and became his loyal Golden Guard in turn, not questioning anything until the ember in her staff begins to act up, that is.
