Summary: Y/N Ullmark gets a job with the Bruins as their new photographer. They haven't seen each other in a few years, some things have changed. What happens when her brother's best friend develops a crush on her?

“Hey guys today’s media day as you know, we gotta get our roster shots. We have a new photographer so do me a favor, be nice to her, she’s ullmarks sister.” I heard Brad Marchand say from inside the locker room. A series of cat-call whistles went off in the locker room before I heard my brother clear his throat. I roll my eyes. Here we go, I think to myself. “Completely off limits to every single one of you. Don’t even think about it.” He says. The whistles continue and I let out a laugh a little louder than needed. The locker room went silent. “I guess I’ll come in now,” I said, stifling the giggles from seconds ago. “As you guys know I’m Y/n Ullmark, your new media girl. So if you guys could suit up and head out to the hallway in 20 that would be great!” I say, and just before walking fully out of the locker room, I saw someone I recognized, Swayman. The last time I saw him was when he first got signed and became best friends with my brother. He looks a little older now. We locked eyes, he gave a smile and a wave which was returned before I headed to the hallway to set up. I set up my camera stand, the lights, and the background as the guys were lining up. A few of the boys jokingly hit on me, but I took it lightly. I could tell I was going to love this job. I was down to the last two guys which were Pasta and Sway. After photoing Pasta it was just me and Sway in the hallway. “Y/n, it’s been so long. How was school?” He asked. “Ah, he speaks. School was awesome but it definitely had its ups and downs. I’ve been keeping up with stats, you guys have been doing really well. Are you excited to be in net for the rangers game tomorrow? I hear they’ve got a new bruiser, Matt something?” I asked while fixing the lighting for his photo. “Matt Rempe, yeah I’ve heard of the kid. Make sure you get my good side tomorrow. No bad angles.” He joked. I laughed and playfully pushed him into position for the photo. I snapped a few good headshots for the roster and some full body for the Instagram, which I now run. Most of the photos weren’t usable since he kept making silly faces at the camera but those were the photos I knew the fans would adore. After taking his pictures he walked back to the locker room and I started putting away the lights and backdrops. This took longer than I thought it would. Almost all of the boys had left by the time I was almost done putting it all away. “Hey, Y/n do you need any help with all of that?” Sway asked from down the hallway, walking out of the locker room in jeans and a flannel, while putting on his hat, flipping so it's backwards. “Oh no its okay, I’m almost finished.” I responded with a smile. “Are you sure, its really no bother.” He said. “Y/n, is this guy bothering you?” My brother asked, stifling a chuckle as he walked down the hallway towards us. “Hey Bubba, Sway asked me to go get drinks with him, would you mind putting the lights and tripod in the closet?” I asked my brother sweetly, watching Jer’s face drop into a puzzled expression out of the corner of my eye. “Wait, what I-“ My brother started. “Thank youuuu.” I interrupted, grabbing Sway's hand and pulling him toward the exit. I turned around to see my brother still standing there shocked. “No need to worry bubba its just as friends, promise.” Once we walked about of the arena I let go of his hand. “Alright tendy, where are you taking me for drinks?” I asked as we make the short walk over to his truck. “Well, since I don’t have much of a choice I was thinking Brock’s bar. Have you ever been?” He asked unlocking the doors and opening his own. I opened mine and grabbed the handle at the top to pull myself in. “Oh come on Jer don’t act like you don’t love my company. I’ve been once or twice but I don’t really remember those nights honestly.” I joked, and we both laughed at the hard truth while he started the truck.

First off, Price runs a security company in this AU which is how I think I would tie everything together

Alejandro has been an actor since he was a teenager. He and Rudy are still childhood friends and he's been in love with him for a while but Rodolfo doesn't want a life in the spotlight/doesn't think Alejandro is in love with him

Alejandro and Valeria had a fake relationship for publicity of a movie they had together and Alejandro wasn't allowed to tell Rodolfo it was fake because of a toxic manager

It ended really messy, too, even though both hated the fake relationship

Valeria is a child actress trying to break free from that squeaky clean innocent persona

She and Alejandro hire Price's company for their security

Eventually, Alejandro and Rodolfo do get together, but they have to keep their relationship secret for Rodolfo's safety since Alejandro has a couple of crazy fans

Rodolfo has a hard time with this, even if he understands it's important

This isn't relevant, but Rodolfo is a photographer and did Alejandro's headshots early in his career

Ghost, Soap, and Roach have been dating for a while. Roach and Soap are publically dating and Ghost is head of their security team because they're dealing with an active stalker

He doesn't completely work for Price, but Price is where he started and he goes through Price for the rest of the members of the security team and Price is the only other person with as high of authority over Soap and Roach's security

Soap got his start in soap operas, where Roach started out as a musician but retired when he was attacked by a crazy fan and lost his voice because of it

Neither are particularly careful with their own safety, despite Roach's rampant PTSD, and Ghost is this close to putting them in glass boxes on high shelves

Alex and Farah work for Price's security team, Farah is actually pretty high up in it

Gaz is an actor and he's known to have a father/son relationship with Price, so Price puts a lot of care into his safety

Alex is Gaz's closest security guard because Price trusts him, though he's threatened Alex not to sleep with Gaz before

(It has not worked, but hey, Price gets points for trying)

Alex and Price are kind of hardasses about Gaz's safety, which gets on his nerves, but he appreciates that they care

However, he doubts every fan with a hoodie is carrying a gun

Malika actually isn't an actress, she's being protected as a favor from Price after a crazy stalker kidnapped her for a few weeks when she was a kid and then won't leave her alone, now

Farah has been head of her security team since shortly after she joined the company, she and Ghost frequently bond over the stresses of being in love with the people whose security and safety are their highest priority

Farah is deeply protective over the members of her team and knows them all personally.

Laswell co-owns the security company and mostly does administrative parts of it, her wife is a retired actress

Nikolai is a private investigator that Price contracts (and fucks but that's irrelevant)

Media Day - Trevor Zegras x Reader

Summary: What a great day to be an aspiring photographer on media day when your model keeps flirting with you.

A/n: I caved. 

“One nitro cold brew you psychopath,” I say to my boss as I set his Starbucks order on our little tech cart, careful to avoid spilling on anything.

“Why am I a psychopath?”

“You’re drinking a nitro cold brew. That’s, like, the second biggest red flag drink you could get.”

“What’s the first?”

“Vanilla bean frappe.” John shakes his head whilst switching lenses on the biggest DSLR I’ve ever seen.

“You’re drinking an iced drink on the literal ice.”

“Iced drinks are for the girls, gays, and ‘they’s it’s inevitable,” I say, grabbing a fresh battery for the camera. John places a smaller lens on the body before removing the strap from his neck. He then extends the object to me in invitation.

“You want to be a photographer someday, right?” I nod slowly. “Show me whatcha got, kid.”

A small smile is the last little encouragement John gives me before handing over the camera. Okay, game time. As I turn to ask John who’s next, I hear the familiar sound of someone running onto the ice.

“Hey, John.”

“How ya doing, Z?”

“Can’t complain. Who’s this?”

“This is my PA…”

“Y/n,” I offer my hand to shake. Holy shit he’s beautiful.

“Trevor.”

“She’s gonna grab some headshots of you before we record anything.”

“Can I have you stand on that ‘X’ for me,” I gesture to the markings on the ice and he gently skates over to it. Knowing John’s process after hearing it all day, I begin to instruct him as John had with the other guys earlier in the day. “Actually, I want to try something… Could you kneel on the ice for me?” Trevor smirks and complies.

“Anything for you, princess,” he teases with a wink. I brush off the remark, rolling my eyes,

“Hush.” John laughs at my response and Trevor’s defeat. He doesn’t seem phased.

“Keep your body facing the net and turn only your head to look at me.” Trevor follows my directions and looking into his sea-glass eyes through the viewfinder stops me in my tracks. I need to focus but the way he’s looking at me gives me butterflies. Long dark lashes frame his light eyes that glisten like the shimmering ice beneath us. Nothing but the sound of faint, shallow breaths exists between us. The studio lights on the ice create a soft halo around his head; small flyaways cath the lighting to then hold it around his face like a beautiful painting placed inside a magnificent frame. He is Michelangelo’s David.

“Chin down,” I instruct before snapping the picture. The shot appears on the monitor behind us and I look back to see John inspecting the headshot. It’s a damn good shot and john knows it too. I smirk and snap a few more just for good measure. “Small smile, mmm not like that.”

“What do you mean not like that?”

“Has no one ever taught you to smile?”

“Apparently not.”

“Okay so you take your little finger and bite down on it horizontally and that’s the distance you should have between your teeth when you smile.”

“Oh really?!”

“Yeah, your teeth shouldn’t tou-” I cut myself off, “You’re fucking with me.”

“No, not at all!” I pause skeptically. I truly can’t tell if he’s being sincere or not.

“Just smile so I can take the goddamn picture.” Trevor laughs at my frustration and I seize the opportunity to snap some pictures. “Perfect.”

“These look great, Y/n. I’ll take it from here,” John says as he picks up the videography camera to grab some action shots. I move away from Trevor as I begin to switch the lenses, knowing John will use this camera again for the hyper-close-ups. “Thank you,” John says only to me before approaching Trevor to give him direction.

“Looks good, Z. Your smile has really improved!” He teases.

“Light work when I have such a good view.”

“Stop flirting with my PA!”

A/n: I know I used to not like Trevor but lately he’s been kinda fine and I see it soooo I’m coping by writing. Also I’m not enthralled with the Z fics that exist right now (of course I’ll still read and appreciate them) so I did what I always do when I’m in this predicament and that is write my own. Probably more to come with the way things are going right now.

you’re a tour photographer, meaning that you take professional pictures of performers. you’re currently waiting outside of the venue in nashville, where you would be seeing THE DRIVER ERA. you were ready to meet rocky and ross, the excitement buzzing through your body. you take a picture of the venue that opens up in 3 hours for their concert.

“hey! you must be y/n!”, a sweet voice shouts from behind you. your turn around and see that it’s no other than ross lynch, his brother, rocky, next to him!

“no way! you’re ross and rocky! how did you guys know my name?”, you ask way too excitedly.

“well, you’re going to be taking concert photos, right? we have a list of everyone that’s allowed to come in and help us set up or interview or anything else like that.”, ross says.

“oh. yeah! i’ll be taking your pictures. do you mind if i take some now, while we have some time?”, you ask eagerly.

“sure! we don’t have to warm up for another hour, so we can definitely do that! how about we go on top of the roof? i think the lighting would be great, but you’re the photographer, what you say goes.”, ross says with a wink.

“you have a wonderful idea. let me steal you boys away!”, you say.

“stay just like that! the light is hitting you boys at just the right angle.”, you say, peeking through the camera and hitting the button to take ross’ and rocky’s picture. little did the boys know, you were taking individual headshots as well, with every pose you set them up for.

“oh! these are so good! and you boys are so sweet!”, you say.

“really? well, let’s see ‘em!”, ross says, snatching your camera from you.

“ross! no!! they’re not edited or anything! give it back!”, you say, worried he’s going to see the individual pictures.

“oh no, y/n, i don’t think so.”, he teases holding the camera above both of your heads now. “rocky, take this and run!”, he says to his brother.

“bet.”, rocky says, a devious smile on his face.

“no! wait!”, you say, but it was too late. the boys are playing a trick with you and rocky is long out of reach now.

“well, looks like rocky might take a picture of you and me now. smile and pose.”, ross says while grabbing you by your waist and pulling you close to him. he dips you down and tells you, “focus on me. you’re beautiful.” you blush, but oblige. you hear your camera flick with each picture rocky takes of you and ross.

“okay, ross and rocky. please give me my camera back, i think it’s almost time for you guys to get ready to warm up.”, you say, trying to get out of ross’ grip, but he won’t let go.

“rocky is heading that way now, but i want to stay here with you, y/n.”, ross says to you, still holding onto you.

“awe, ross”, you say, looking into his eyes.

the chemistry between you is crazy. you can tell you both want the same thing each other wants. your faces draw closer together and just when you think he’s about to kiss you, he stops.

“okay, kid. time for me to go warm up. come with.”, he says with a smirk on his lips, while leading you off of the roof.

“ugh! ross!”, you say, not letting go of his hand.

“how’s everyone doing tonight?!”, rocky asks the crowd at their sold out show. you stand behind the barrier and start taking pictures of the fans and the brothers. the crowd is going wild as they start to play their song “a kiss”. you start taking pictures of the boys and you can’t help but notice how much ross is interacting with you, even though he’s on stage. and you can’t help but crack a smile and follow his lead.

ross grabs you up on the stage and sets you to the side, he stares at you for what feels like forever, then touches your hands that hold your camera. he wants his picture taken. you shoot one. then, he grabs the camera off of your neck and takes a selfie with you.

“you got your phone?”, he asks you, while still performing. you take your phone out of your pocket and he takes it from you and takes another selfie of the two of you together, then he takes some pictures of his brother and the crowd, interacting with everyone. before handing your phone back, he takes a picture of you, taking a picture of him with your camera. once you lower your camera, he takes another picture of you. “absolutely beautiful.”, he says. he gives you a kiss on your cheek before continuing to perform. you’re blushing and you can’t stop feeling the tingles of electricity resonating where he kissed you.

after the boys’ performance, ross tells rocky he’s taking you out. “oh, you don’t have to do that, ross.”, you say, bashfully.

“sure i do! i want to. i want to get to know you more. you’re not getting rid of me easily.”, he says to you. he grabs you by your hand and leads you out of the tour bus and out into the town. you find a nearby diner that doesn’t look too busy this late at night and go in.

“how many is it tonight, sir?”, the hostess asks as you and ross come in.

“just us two, ma’am.”, ross says.

“perfect. right this way.”, she says, gesturing to follow her.

the hostess sits you both down across from each other. as soon as she leaves though, ross, comes over to your side and blocks you in the booth.

“so…y/n? how’d you like the show tonight?”, ross asks you, eagerly.

“i loved it! and i loved getting to know you guys tonight. i can’t wait to go with you boys on the rest of your tour!”, you say.

“perfect. i’m so glad you feel that way. i don’t know if i could let you go so easily.”, he says, gently placing his hand on top of yours.

“awe, ross.”, you say, leaning into him for a kiss.

“y/n?”, he asks after kissing you a couple more times in the booth.

“ross?”, you say back.

“will you be my girlfriend? i know we just only met, but i can’t help but feel this way about you.”, he asks you, shyly.

“ross, shut up.”, you say, laughing at him and kissing him again, sealing the deal that yes, you will be his girlfriend.

it was going to be a long tour, but you’re happy to have ross by your side. ❤️‍🔥

I had my headshots for LinkedIn professionally done, and the photographer touched them up. I guess that makes me and everyone on LinkedIn with professional headshots a fraud. Cause that’s all it takes right?

Yes lol. And also, let's delete the 99.9% of re-touched high school graduation pics, as well. Leave the acne in or get "killed," kids!

duel celebrity autographs: 5ds edition (based on the duel monsters version by @kaibacorpintern)

yusei fudo: a scrawled out messy "yusei fudo" that makes it clear he taught himself how to write. attempts to write a nice thing, usually winds up being "believe in you cards". he does not intend to write this so often. if asked by a little kid, he will kneel down to their eye level and awkwardly try his autistic best to make eye contact. encourages them to go to school, tells them that he hopes to see them on the dueling pitch one day. for adults, he does not bother to attempt to make eye contact at all, but is cordial and polite. does not understand why people want his autograph at all, but does not ask questions as he doesn't want people to think he doesn't understand social cues (he doesn't).

aki izayoi: is shocked to have been asked at all, and often comes across as rude as a result. asks them why they bothered to ask for her autograph when yusei is over there, suggesting she can bring them over. when insisted they want her autograph and not yusei or jacks, she often has a very long conversation with them about the game and her deck. always winds up saying yes. leaves a nice message that is usually "thank you for talking with me" with a swooping, cursive signature that is always carefully done. insists that they talk with her any time. most people leave with a better impression of her than before.

jack atlas: loudly says yes to everyone who asks. has a stack of photographs to sign. has media training, but uses none of it. will seem arrogant at times. when kids ask for an autograph, he always acts like they are his competition and calls them his biggest rival to their delight. will tell them that they better not disappoint him when they finally make their way to the dueling pitch, to which most tell him that they'll kick his ass. when adults ask, it is often a pre signed headshot.

crow hogan: always says "sure, long as you're not a cop" and then asks if they're a cop seriously again. if they're a cop, he'd point to his marks and ask them why they weren't asking for his autograph back when they were putting these on his face and challenges them to a duel on the spot. however, if they are not a cop, he laughs and tells em to watch out for cops. he will gesture to his face and be like "if you don't, you'll wind up lookin like me!" when a kid asks, he tells them sure as long as they promise to not become cops and stay in school. has tried to adopt a child more than once. has an extremely messy signature of "crow the bullet!" that is barely legible, and draws a little bird holding a gun next to his signature in case they can't read it. has been yelled at a parent over this drawing before, and responded "what are you, a cop?"

lua/rua/leo 5ds: is always eager to sign something. will ask if you want his autograph before you can even ask him for it. brags about how he knows jack and yusei, and always expects the person to be impressed. if they are not, he'll ask how they can't know who yusei or jack is, citing them as legends and the reason he got into competitive play at all. will talk your ear off about the game unprompted. his signature is a perfect signature that he came up with when he was twelve, and it has not changed since. he often adds little stars around his name. eager to prove himself and will list off all the duels he's won.

luka/ruka/luna 5ds: confused why you want her signature as she was only in one tournament when she was twelve. admits she doesn't duel that much anymore, and suggests that you probably must have mistaken her for her brother. offers to take you to him and begins to lead you to him unprompted. manages to evade signing anything without you even realizing it until you're back home, but you still wind up with lua's signature somehow.

sherry leblanc: is almost always rude and impatient about it when it comes to grown adults. may hand a headshot with a smeared signature depending on how much she dislikes you. if you really piss her off, she suggests a duel there and then specifically to humiliate you. with kids, she tries a little harder. a little kid could hand her mushroom man and she'll fake a smile and sign it while talking shit about the card to her bodyguard in french. often times will walk off in the middle of conversation with an adult, but has never once walked off from a little kid.

misty lola: unlike some people, she actually listened to her media training. will smile and make eye contact the entire time, and is surprisingly quiet and vaguely off putting. she has a neat, well practiced signature and is often willing to sign whatever you hand her way. takes her time with each person who asks her to sign something despite her discomfort. walks off soon after, desperate to get away from the attention.

bruno 5ds: depends on which version you get. future bruno is definitely a cocky asshole about it, and always winds up saying something to the effect of "course ya do!" despite his braggadocio nature about it, he's very similar to the bruno team 5ds meets in that he's at least nice about it. he'll talk with most people. the only real difference is future bruno will straight up leave if you make him uncomfortable, while past bruno you could pour soup in his lap and he'll apologize to you.

Why is Anna suddenly coming out with new headshot photos on the day of the good omens trailer release? Girl your desperation for attention is showing immensely if you think choosing to post on today of all days will make anyone forget about the husbands and focus on you instead. Also, wtf re: Georgias insta stories? One question; WHY? Another question; Why are you always talking about and thinking about vaginas and penis’s?? Why do these two always have to be competing for attention whenever the boys have anything? Why can’t they just be normal partners and be supportive without trying to undercut them?

Holy wow, okay...my inbox blew up. Yes indeed, lots of goings on today, most notably the amazing GO 2 trailer, which I've watched several times and has filled my heart with unbridled homosexual glee.

As for the rest of today's happenings, well...oof. First off, for those who haven't seen, let's get the visuals up, starting with AL's new headshots that she posted and Georgia calling her Barbie:

...Quite a bit to unpack here, it seems. In terms of AL's headshots, some of you mentioned this (as have other folks who DMed me privately about them), and I agree that they were purposely posted on the same day as the GO 2 trailer release. It's just flagrantly transparent at this point, given the number of times this has happened with previous GO 2 news, and so yes, I do think Anna was trying to capitalize on the news stories and social media chatter around GO 2 to bring attention to herself.

That being said...I'm really not sure who told her that these were good head shots, but they were not at all being honest. The lighting is terrible, her hair looks dull, and the pictures for whatever reason seem...flat, to me. There's no life in them, no spark, which is not helped by her seemingly vacant expression. (Why is her mouth hanging open in disgust in the first picture? Why is she staring into the abyss in the second? I'm so confused...) The pictures are reminiscent of a photo shoot she did last year that inexplicably involved sitting on a radiator while she was pregnant, and the common thread between the two seems to be that either the photographers did not give her good directions, or she just doesn't know how to "relate" to the camera, which...is probably not a good thing, given her chosen profession of acting.

But what really was striking to me was the caption on this new post. The disingenuous tone of "I will admit, not the biggest fan of having pictures taken" coupled with the fact that these pictures were deliberately posted on the day of the GO 2 trailer release makes it seem like she is fishing for compliments/praise. Add to that Georgia sharing the post and referring to AL as "my very own Barbie" (which comes across as incredibly fake) and it becomes clear that this was again coordinated, this time not only to gain attention via the GO 2 trailer, but also Staged 3's impending release on the BBC.

Which then brings us to Georgia's Insta stories. Lord help me, I don't even know where to start. Well, it's been brought to my attention that "Would you rather" is a game, one that is often played on long car rides/road trips and used by parents to entertain restless children. I don't think I ever played it myself as a kid, but the basic gist seems easy enough to understand. What's less easy for me to understand, however, is (as several of you pointed out) Georgia using said game to talk about penises and vaginas.

I'm the first one to acknowledge that I talk about sex a lot. It's part of the work that I do as an autism sexuality advocate, and I'm all in favor of using correct anatomical terms and teaching people about human sexuality/development, and therefore not at all one to begrudge someone talking about genitalia. But with Georgia's stories, I get the sense that she is doing it for shock value more than anything else...and when you talk about penises/vaginas as much as she does, after a while it starts to come across as crass instead of shocking.

By her own admission, Georgia has said she needs content, and so logically, talking about something spicy would be a good way to drum up engagement/generate content. Yet I couldn't help thinking of the fact that Georgia has numerous trans and/or gender non-conforming followers, and given the current climate around transgender issues in the UK (and US)--especially things like "bathroom checks" and the despicable obsession GCs have with trans people's genitals--her stories just edge too close to something unsettling for me. I'm not saying this was necessarily intentional on Georgia's part, but the fact that she then shared people's responses without knowing (or caring) whether people were okay with it made it even weirder and more disquieting.

Both Georgia and AL posted the trailer to their Insta stories after posting the things above, and again this seems calculated because then you have to view the stories about them before getting to the GO 2 trailer. But as @phantomstars24 said, the focus was swiftly pulled off of them (rightfully so) once that trailer was out. They absolutely could have chosen to depict themselves as supportive partners, but chose to come across as opportunistic and self-serving instead. I can't begin to fathom why, but...there it is.

So yes, there was quite a bizarre incongruity between what was happening on Instagram vs. Twitter/Tumblr today, and the fact that it came from Michael and David's own partners makes it even stranger. I'm sure Georgia and AL have been tapped to help with the promotion for GO 2 (and Staged 3), but it really does seem like they missed the mark here. Cringe for days...

BACKGROUND: 

grew up in nightrest in an upper-middle class household, with a few siblings. his family was very loving, and never placed many expectations on any sibling besides wanting them to try their best. theo was best known for his personality, rather than any talents. he wasn’t particularly smart, or athletically gifted, but he was always very friendly and outgoing. as a result, in school, his grades usually suffered and theo often needed a tutor to pass most classes, but he was known for being a fun-loving pretty boy. 

to compensate for being an average student, theo tried to work at least to show his parents he wasn’t entirely useless. he worked at mama’s for a couple months before getting fired, waiting tables and having to remember so many things hard for him at the time. since he’d taken care of one of his little sisters when he was growing up, theo figured he’d be good at babysitting, and started doing that to make some money. it helped that he was well liked, despite being a little slow, and many of the mothers in town saw him as cute and let him help out. he babysat for a particularly rich family that lived in stoughton estates for a while, the mother a talent agent who was often out of town for work. after babysitting her kids for about a year, she told him that he was good-looking enough to become a model, and offered to take him on as a client granted he move to la when he graduated high school. seeing as he didn’t have any idea of what he wanted to do, theo agreed and his parents supported him.

when he moved to la, he managed to do well when he started off, booking small gigs at first and eventually becoming well known enough to land himself on the covers of magazine and become a print model for designer brands. though, it wasn’t his pretty face that got him entirely there, as he had a charm that appealed to more than a few female celebrities, becoming known for brief flings with older women that were often over the tabloids. without really noticing, he developed a reputation and became favored by most female photographers in the industry. theo just figured they were being nice, and didn’t entirely get why. 

he became well off, but over time, he felt like a lot of his life had become superficial. in the beginning, he had fun modelling and being able to make a name for himself, but it had began to feel like more of a chore than anything else after all those years and have more of a stable life. when he heard what happened in nightrest at the charity gala, he decided to move back home, missing the place he’d grown up with and wanting to see the people he’d missed.

having only a high school diploma and modeling experience, there wasn’t a lot of opportunity for a new job for theo. he had made more than enough money to live comfortably for a while, but he was the kind of person that grew bored easily, so he wanted to have something to do and feel happy about. theo remembered enjoying babysitting kids a lot when he was younger, his easgoing demeanor making it easy for pretty much all babies and children to like him. he had a few connections around town still, and got a recommendation to become dilara kaplan’s new live-in nanny.

I knew what I was talking about when I wrote that Photographer Saeran AU, and I am vindicated tonight. Saeran getting into photography is something that really warms my heart and makes me choke up. Saeran could never see things when he was a kid... going outside was always a rare treat, and through a photograph of something, he could see anything. But, if he gets to take photos now that he’s free... not only is he able to always treasure the memory of visiting a place with a lot of beauty, he can share those photos with other people who suffered just like he and Saeyoung did. 

I’m so happy to see Saeyoung here, too. He’s just beaming at the camera as he gets to spend time with his brother without fear anymore. Yoosung and Zen are waving at the MC like dorks as usual, and it’s nice to see them shining. Jaehee and Jumin are both a vision of delight. They all seem really happy, and I’m just so happy to see them shine. I wonder if there’s penguins around... Saeyoung, I need you to show us the secret Penguin dance you learned!

Mystic Messenger 6th Anniversary

I woke up a little late today so you can imagine my surprise when the photo was already out and people were posting it out in the open. However, I had to take a few minutes to collect myself and cry after I saw the photo because it struck me so quickly and hard that my heart couldn’t help but weep. Happy Six Years, RFA. I’m happy to be here with you. Let’s get into it and have our breakdown together for the day.

Now, if you pay close attention to the background of the photo, you’ll notice that there’s CGs from every route. Every character has a portrait on the wall that is a reflection of their relationship with MC. The only photo that isn’t actually clear to me on the wall is the photo from Yoosung’s Route. I can see the outline of that frame but I don’t have enough detail to guess what photo they wanted to use for him. I’ve been hunting the clearest photo I can find of this title screen but this is the only one that’s clear to me enough to reveal details.

I’m doing my best over here since it just came out! Hopefully, we’ll get clearer photos as the day progresses. You don’t know how badly I need to change my icon to this photo. You don’t even know. Anyway, I’ll show you photos that are used in the background if you’re not able to see them! There’s a mixture of the birthday photos and route photos.

procrastination ask (sorry if you're already answered smth similar): how do you think the kids would decorate their own space when they had one for the first time? (like, locker/first time having their own bedroom/freshman college dorm/etc)

already answered decor in canon and in modern au, but the idea of them decorating their lockers is cute so i'm gonna answer that

katara: goes all out making her locker adorable. she separates spaces so that she has somewhere to store her sneakers and another allotted space to store her books, notebooks, and folders. she has a special case for her pens, pencils, glitter gelpens, and pastel highlighters. she also has a mirror and a pouch for her klean kanteen. she puts little posters and stickers up, of various activist slogans, boybands, etc. also some photobooth reels of her and aang. and she doesn’t even give a shit about academics! she just likes decorating <3

aang: has a little whiteboard in his locker so that friends can leave him messages throughout the day. there are a lot of “hiiiii<333”s from katara and “remember you have a math test today”s from sokka, but lots of people contribute to this ongoing whiteboard project, writing little notes that he always appreciates every time he opens his locker.

sokka: keeps school supplies (including multiple kinds of knives, which he claims are “for emergencies”) and color coded binders and folders and notebooks for each of his classes, along with his meticulously color coded schedule taped to the door despite the fact that he memorized his schedule in the first week of school, and a giant, frankly, gratuitous padlock guarding his locker. he’s right to be wary though. azula has tried to break into his locker on numerous occasions, and she isn’t even the only one. that’s why he changes his passcode every other day. just to be safe.

toph: doesn’t even use a locker; she keeps everything she needs in her backpack, which is to say, gum and a spare hoodie.

zuko: his locker is an absolute mess and he has never once considered whether or not he should organize it, let alone “decorate it.” it is a completely foreign concept to him, and the first time he sees the inside of katara’s locker he is genuinely terrified, as if exiting plato’s cave and being blinded by the sun. he mostly doesn’t understand why anyone would willingly put up a mirror where there otherwise isn’t one. shudder...

suki: she keeps a big box of tampons and another big box of pads in her locker and every girl in the school knows that if they’re unprepared for their period for whatever reason they can just ask suki and she’ll provide the goods. they also know she provides the goods in the weed department, but she’s not stupid enough to keep that shit in her locker, so.

ty lee: has a mirror on the door with a pouch below it for lipgloss and eyeliner. she also has a collage of love letters various guys have written her taped to the wall, which azula finds beyond tacky but ty lee maintains is hilarious.

mai: keeps her locker neat enough without being, like, a freak about it. it’s just a place to store shit?? what’s the big deal...

azula: on the first day of school, ozai gives her his professional headshot to tape to her locker so that every time she looks at it, she’ll be “reminded of where you come from, and why failure is not an option.” also by “failure” he means a 98%. he gave zuko the same photograph, of course, but zuko forgot to tape it to his locker and instead the picture ended up getting progressively more crumpled at the bottom of his bag throughout the years. whoops!

A comics horror story:

Actually, the "patchwork" look was less the result of many hands than it was the result of being a real patchwork. Lorimar had approval over every panel, and their constant input meant whole weeks of strips were pasted over several changes deep. Other times someone in the Times Syndicate paste-up room would make alterations, though he drew ten times worse than I did. More than once I cobbled dailies from xeroxes of panels they'd already approved just to shut them up. Not that it always worked.

Your harsh comments about the likenesses sting, but they are accurate. No one is more aware than I of the shortcomings of my work on DALLAS, though I gave it everything I had at the time. The plain fact is that I was a newbie in way over my head, barely qualified for the job (though more so than the poor kid who got stuck with it after I left). I got the assignment because I was the only artist the Syndicate could find who was willing to work for the incredibly low rate they offered.

I don't pretend to excuse my failures on the strip. Still it's worth noting for completeness's sake that we received absolutely no help from Lorimar, only roadblocks. They supplied only a few headshots of the actors and forbid us from meeting speaking with, or photographing them. The comics editor and I were literally kicked off the lot when we went to check out the Ewing Ranch sets. Lorimar had given us permission to visit the set, but they didn't tell anyone we'd be there. They also forbade us from identifying ourselves. The TV people figured we were gate crashers.
