★ HEESEUNG:

he's driving everyone insane. Keeps dropping subtle hints that no viewer catches but his manager eyes him like a hawk on award shows and lives. If you're a few feet away from him, he'll glance at you or turn his head in your direction and pretend he's looking at something/one over there. When your eyes meet in the crowd, he winks at you, expression smug. Then turns around with a blank face as if you're not knawing at your lips to not let a bright smile out. There are cameras recording? Okay and? He might not be able to show you off but he's not going to act like you're a stranger.

★ JAY:

very chill about it. Actually he's not. He finds himself in an internal delimma every time you're at shows. Keeps chanting don't look over and over again. Values his career and yours and doesn't want to do anything stupid. He knows how fans are so instead he tries to be sneaky about it. Buys you a bracelet and tells you to wear it when you're at the airport. You don't think too deeply, heart fluttering at the loving gift. A few days later, he uploads a selfie, peace sign on display as well as an identical bracelet snug around his wrist. Some people are speculating but it's nothing big enough for the companies to intervene. Laughs when you call him and says it was a complete coincidence.

★ JAKE:

pda? Baby you do not exist. You are a hallucination. Its a jarring contrast to what hes really like when it's just you because he will NOT make eye contact. He'll stand "near" you not next to you. He knows how vile people on the internet can be and idols get enough of that already. He doesn't want to put you in a compromising position but it's so painful to pretend that nothing is happening between you two. So, he'll do small gestures like during award shows, he'll tell jungwon to hand over his own cushion/blanket to you or your group leader. Be more platonic or "caring" about it so it doesn't seem unusual in the public eye. Sends a bouquet to your makeup rooms and signs the note from enhypen. He's great at fooling.

★ SUNGHOON:

he's actually so ecstatic about it. He would pray and pray to get you as a co-mc, then he'd be able to spend more time and come on camera without any nasty rumours. Plus certain scripts have cheesy pickup lines he'd abuse just to get a reaction out of you. His small smile as he soaks in your flustered reaction? Yea thats def not part of the script. Enjoys that most people ship you because of the ""chemistry"". Giggles on call while he sends you tabloid links that talk about you two. The last nail in the coffin is when he practically describes you as his ideal type. He doesn't know if it sliped out or if it was intsntional. They need to pay the manager more.

★ SUNOO:

the guy who openly calls you his friend. He's the type to introduce a 'slow burn' to ease the public. His fans are used to seeing him talk about you and your group, he doesn't overdo it. Sometimes you talk about him and his group. If a comment asks him to talk about a favourite member in your group he will ignore that, and pretend he never read it because your name would slip out. Defends you in subtle ways by making off-handed comments such as "idols can have off days" or "people shouldn't comment on someone else's appearance. It's not right". Fans make those platonic edits and photoshop you two together in pictures. You bite your fist every time he sends them to you, giggling at how people want to see a collab. That would be his dream. He's def at your concert.

★ JUNGWON:

He's a leader, he's got a lot on his plate but he's also great at controlling himself. people won't suspect a thing when he stands next to you because he stands like 🚹. No fun edits because people can't even tell that you know him, let alone date him. He makes up for it with his love language. Eventually, he'll relax for a bit when he's assured that no one is waiting to get him and his love. He can never be too careful which is why when he can't "do" things publically to help you, he would warn you about certain people/situations. In award shows, if his eyes wander away from his members it's to see if you're safe and comfortable. Once his fears are calmed, he can relax and enjoy the show. Stares at you when he thinks no one is looking.

★ NIKI:

He's just here to have a good time. He prays and wishes for collabs and gets sad whenever nothing happens. He's the type to send you small trinkets as gifts…like an inside joke except there's no joke and Niki feels giddy when he sees your selfie and a familiar charm tied in your phone case. At shows or encore stages, he'll stand behind you (pretends he's doing that because he's soo tall he blocks everyone) and keeps poking you and you have to maintain your expression. Other idols around you know something is up but they don't know what is. He's treading the line between platonic and romantic love. Does the classic rizz move -> notices confetti stuck in your hair and plucks it out, then bows in and greets you casually as if your face isn't red.

Heeseung had been the first to take notice the leaders silence, and the others caught on not long after. They knew Jungwon’s quietness wasn’t one of anger, or annoyance, or sadness, and when they had found the tender look that was plastered across his face, the boys had all silently agreed that they were going to tease their leader for it once you left the dorms later that night. His soft brown eyes were glazed over and the corners of his lips tilted upwards in a admiring smile, and it was all for you.

Jungwon watched you with his heart and his soul, everything within him revolved around you. “She’s not even doing anything,” Jake had muttered to Heeseung—who simply nodded and continued to watch Jungwon ignore everyone else in the room but you.

Even when you excused yourself from the room, having to use the bathroom after drinking your whole can of iced tea, Jungwon’s attention was still—somehow—wrapped around you. He watched the doorway you had just disappeared through, waiting and waiting for your return. “Do you think she’s okay?” Your boyfriend asked, you’d barely been gone for two minutes but without you by his side Jungwon felt…cold and…lonely. And before anyone could respond to his ridiculous question he spoke up again. “I’m gonna go check on her,” he pushed himself from the floor and began shuffling after you.

As he reached up to knock on the bathroom door, it gave away—and you stood staring up at him with a look of shock. “Everything alright ‘Wonie?” You place your hands on his chest, his heart beats rapidly at the casual touch. He merely nods, taking your hands in his and leading you back to the group.

“Oh, so she was okay?” Ni-ki chuckles.

“Was I in danger?” You ask as you fall back onto the floor, bringing your knees to your chest.

“Your boyfriend seemed to think so,” Jay mutters with a smirk.

“No I didn’t,” Jungwon blushed as he slipped onto the floor next to you, his body a little closer than before. His warmth radiated off of him in large waves, and tho you were wrapped in one of Jungwon’s hoodies—you still found yourself shivering a bit. Perhaps being away from Jungwon had made you cold and lonely as well.

The boys began a new conversation, something on Sunoo’s phone bringing the attention away from the both of you. Jungwon slipped his hand into yours as you shuffled farther into his warmth, your head resting on his shoulder as he uses his free hand to twirl strands of your hair.

“I should head home soon,” your words stay between the two of you.

“Stay with me tonight,” you sigh and shake your head softly. “Then I’ll stay with you.”

“You have practice tomorrow morning. But next time you have a day off I’m all yours,” your boyfriend’s heart thumps faster against your ear—bringing a soft smile to your lips. “You can come by mine tomorrow, or I can come see you, or we can go somewhere. But only if you want to.”

You gently fumbled with the materiel of his shirt, he softly stroked along the length of your hair—and tho you sat amongst the other boys, these soft touches were private. Your conversation had been a whisper, words solely for the two of you—but Jungwon’s next words were spoken much louder than he had imagined they’d be.

“I’m so in love with you.”

You've returned to the studio. A notification appears on your phone screen as you prepare to write lyrics for another song.

ENHYPEN IS ON LIVE !

when you saw the picture pop up, you saw your boyfriend's face, jungwons. You've been trying to keep it low because you're both idols. However, you two have formed a great bond, even acting as each other's energizers when necessary.

Since he's live, it can't hurt to take a short break, right?

You just sat comfortably, properly adjusting your phone. You could see the boy smiling at the camera once you joined in. You smiled as you saw it. You saw him greet everyone who joined the live stream. There were over 10,000 people watching it live.

His voice was soothing, and the way he responded to questions and read comments almost put you to sleep. "Do you like new jeans?" You were startled awake when you heard your group's name.

"new jeans are extremely talented!" "Their songs are so good, and honestly, even though we're the sunbaes, I look up to them," he rambles, making you smile. "Especially yn!" the way she helps everyone and contributes to the creation of the best songs ever? I mean, have you ever heard her ditto vocals? Simply amazing. and—" you mostly watched the boy go on a rant about new jeans. The comments about Jungwon admiring you are pouring in.

You started blushing from all of his compliments on your dance, lyrics, and leadership. You were driven insane by the way his eyes would sparkle while he went on a rant about how amazing you were. "You must like new jeans a lot," Jungwon reads, nervously chuckling.

"Oh—did I ramble on too long?" The leader shakes his head. "Sorry," he says, laughing slightly. He ignored what he said and read another comment. "favorite new jeans song? Ditto obviously! because of yn vocals hehe. But, every song is amazing!"

At this rate, he'll land you both in a dating scandal. But who are you to complain? In any case, you two have been dating for three months. You quickly send him a text message that reads, "You like me that much?" When your notification appears, make him smile. The boy turns red, causing the comments to resurface.

He knew he was going to get teased by the members, and he knew you were going to do the same. But he didn't mind because he loved you too much.

chapter three: it went... great?

the word of a girl group joining the hybe family reached the ears of existing hybe groups. they pondered about the new edition and potential new friendships that could form.

"have you guys hear about a girl group joining hybe?" jungwon turned his screen to the rest of the boys.

niki raised his brow. "no? i swear we live under a rock."

"what are they called?" jay asked, leaning in closer to get a better look at jungwon's screen.

"i think kayo."

"i heard they said we have to greet them or welcome them something like that." jake added.

"that's awkward, let me see the picture." sunghoon grabbed his phone. he fell silent, zooming into the screen.

"what, do you know them?" sunoo asked.

"no. but one of them looks like this girl i used to know." he handed the phone back.

"chaerin, zena, haru, jie, sujin." jungwon read the names off.

"chaerin." sunghoon whispered to himself. he brushed it off thinking the chance of it being her was impossible.

"everyone!" their manager interrupted. "get up and greet your juniors."

"meeting enhypen themselves, wow." haru whispered.

"girl, you sound like a fan. we need to act like colleagues." jie whispered back.

chaerin stayed behind everyone despite being the leader. she didn't want to imagine the horrors of introducing the group to him herself.

"chaerin stop being a baby. you go in first." sujin pulled her forward, but she resisted.

"zena, i think you should go first." chaerin suggested.

"ugh, whatever." haru took the first steps inside the room.

"hello!" they all bowed, chaerin continuing to hide behind everyone.

the girls began introducing themselves individually, making chaerin feel like banging her head against the wall.

"hi, i'm chaerin." unfortunately for her, the girls moved aside, giving her a clear view, and, of course, she found herself directly in front of sunghoon.

she made eye contact with him for a millisecond before her gaze darted to the ground.

"show them around the building, you guys. don't be awkward strangers," their manager requested before leaving them alone.

they awkwardly laughed and stood in silence for ten seconds before heeseung cleared his throat. "shall we start the tour?"

the girls followed behind them, mostly making small talk about their old company building being a closet in comparison.

chaerin watched sunghoon from a distance. although she felt a bit like a creep, it had been so long since she had seen him in person. she observed every aspect that had changed about him. he was no longer the kid she used to skate with. she watched his mannerisms as he walked, noting how he looked for ways to place his arms while casually glancing around the area.

"chaerin, right?" jungwon walked in the back alongside her. "i'm the leader too, jungwon."

she shook his hand and gave him a smile. "of course jungwon. you're famous, you know."

they walked in awkward silence afterward. chaerin struggled to figure out how to strike up a conversation with someone she had never met. even her body tensed up as she became overly conscious of how her actions might be perceived.

"you remind me of sunghoon." jungwon laughed.

"really? why?"

"he acts really awkward with new people. i think you guys would get along. sunghoon, come here!" he called sunghoon over, who was walking alone. he hesitantly walked over to the two, awkwardly putting his hands in his pockets. "sunghoon, chaerin. chaerin, sunghoon."

they gave each other stiff half smiles and half hearted bows to each other.

"come on, get to know each other." jungwon pushed them closer before leaving the two alone.

chaerin took in a sharp breath before they continued walking alongside each other. "you don't have to walk with me."

"why wouldn't i want to?" sunghoon asked.

"i don't know? forget i said anything." she wanted to crawl in a hole and die. she didn't expect to be talking to him directly this fast. it felt like she was thrown to the wolves.

"do you not want to walk with me?"

"no! i mean no. that's not what i meant. i just didn't want to make anything awkward for you." she shrugged.

"it's okay." he laughed. "i was just playing."

chaerin let out a sigh of relief. "i was prepared to walk on egg shells."

"so."

they watched their members ahead of them conversing and looking in different rooms.

i guess we're just gonna ignore the elephant in the room, she though to herself.

heeseung and jie exchanged a quick glance as they observed the pair walking alongside each other. surprisingly, there was little hint of awkwardness in their demeanor. they knew their friends well, and any discomfort would likely be dismissed with a simple clearing of throats before they walked independently. yet, an invisible force seemed to act as a magnetic pull between them. when sunghoon had initially joined her, they stood a couple of feet apart, but now they were nearly brushing shoulders.

"how much you wanna bet they start dating?" jie playfully nudged heeseung.

heeseung was caught off guard by her directness. "oh! does she have a crush on him or something?"

"i had a vision," she deadpanned.

heeseung stared at her, attempting to decipher her expression.

"i'm just playing! loosen up a bit!" she chuckled at his reaction.

later that day, both groups remained in the building but went their separate ways after the welcome tour. some of them exchanged contact information for any future queries, expressing their gratitude to the boys for assisting them in getting adapted to the company.

as the other girls ate together, chaerin chose to explore the surroundings, curious about what she might have missed while lagging behind the group. she discreetly peeked into rooms, attempting not to appear too intrusive, and at some point, even entertained the idea of "accidentally" crossing paths with newjeans during her self-guided tour.

one of the rooms was rather dim, so she assumed it was empty and walked in. you can only imagine her shock when she spotted none other than park sunghoon. he was resting his head on the table, engrossed in his phone.

"god! i'm sorry. i thought no one was in here." chaerin quickly apologized, even offering a slight bow to him.

"it's alright, i was just killing time," he reassured her, patting the chair beside him.

chaerin gave him an inquisitive look, squinting her eyes slightly, before walking over to the empty chair beside him.

"what do you wanna do?" chaerin swiveled the chair to face him. she felt all the uneasiness surrounding being around him again leave her body. if he wasn't going to act weird about, why should she?

he unlocked his phone and showed her what he was watching when she walked in. it was a video of their very last competition together four years ago. they had won gold, as expected. chaerin held that memory dear to her heart, she was touched to see that sunghoon felt the same.

"if i tried that today, i would've dislocated my hip." she laughed.

sunghoon nudged her. "i'm sure you would've landed it easily."

"these bones don't work like they used to, i'm afraid." she stretched out her arms.

they continued scrolling through old competition footage, reminiscing on the old days.

"you were so adorable omg," chaerin mindlessly commented.

"were?" he raised his brow.

"i mean you're more manly now, so i don't think that's the right word."

"i think handsome is the right word," he dramatically brushed his hair back.

"yeah okay arrogance," she rolled her eyes.

"i mean you've grown quite, um, pretty." he averted his gaze.

"is park sunghoon calling me pretty?" chaerin poked his side. she played it cool, but in reality it felt like her stomach was on fire. what was more nerve wracking? sunghoon calling her pretty? or him being shy about it.

the two went their separate ways after an hour of banter and a trip down memory lane. they both were quite nervous to meet again, but their worries were put to rest once they actually spoke to each other. as much as chaerin hates to admit it, she's glad that she reconnected with him as if nothing happened. she did harbor resentment towards him, but his warm smile towards her melted her once ice cold heart.

“ynnie!” riki yelled as he bursted through the doors of our recording studio. he opened his arms wide and lifted me to the air as we laughed and hugged, “hello to you too, riks.” soon enough, the other two caught up with the younger one and i bowed, “hello.” i greeted as they smiled at me. i held eye contact with jungwon as i can’t help but be reminded of the night we met again.

“so… where do we wait..?” jay asked and i snapped out of my trance, awkwardly laughing off the fact that i was staring at jungwon and he was staring right back at me. i led them to the judge seating area as i ran backstage, meeting my members before the show started.

“yn unnie, good luck..! i know how stressed you are about this especially since you’re first seat and you feel pressured… so i made you a little flower! judgement is in two more episodes, two weeks, so this is a good luck flower!” the group’s youngest member, eunseo, hugged me as she wrapped a flower bracelet made of paper on my wrist.

i smiled and thanked her before we had to go up on stage, hearing the fans yell our names as we started our first performance, ‘dalla dalla’ by itzy. in front of us were the judges and riki kept making funny faces to get me to break character on stage but i just held it in until we finished the song. there were a few parts where i slipped because of the wet stage but it wasn’t so bad.

“hello, we are team ‘dalla’. i’m elle, leader of the group and these are my members. hyewon, eunseo, wonbyul and yn.” elle introduced us as we bowed and greeted the other groups along with the judges.

“hello to all of you. that was an amazing performance… i must say, your vocals are stable even though the dance was pretty challenging..” the male judge said as we thanked with bright smiles. “let’s see what our special judges think of it… our special judges, jungwon, jay and ni-ki..!” the fans in the crowd yelled for them as they introduced themselves.

“i think they did very well, they carried out the steps smoothly.” jay smiled widely at elle as elle went crazy on stage, turnimg around just so she could giggle it all out. “i agree with jay hyung… the co-ordination is crazy, everyone was on time with the steps.” riki stated, smiling as he did a thumbs up.

last person to make a remark was jungwon. we all turned to face him but my face heated up when i caught his stare on me, the camera even caught that. “sorry, i was looking at the backdrop.” he lied and smiled directly at me, a slight blush creeping onto my cheeks as i looked away.

“overall, the dance was perfect. hyewon’s and wonbyul’s raps were great even though you have a high pitch. elle’s and eunseo’s dance were perfect, and yn was… perfect.” jungwon gave his input as my eyes widened, perfect in what way? don’t make me panic.

“ah.. i mean, yn’s vocals were really great and her dance was almost perfect. the slippery stage made it hard for her— for them, to dance well. but overall, she— they were all equally good, even better than i am.” jungwon continued as he smiled and rubbed the back of his neck, feeling slightly embarrassed.

“thank you, enhypen sunbae.” we thanked as we got off stage and took in our deep breaths, hugging each other as we all cheered at our positive remarks. “yn unnie, you and jungwon sunbae hm?” hyewom teased as they all poked my sides, “we’re just friends.. don’t be weird!” i replied as a few knocks were soon heard on our door. i excused myself from the hug as i ran to the door and opened it.

“hey,” the tall brunette greeted me as he towered over me, smiling down at me before greeting my groupmates. “hey..? anything wrong..?” i asked as i closed the door behind me and the gap between us was closed, almost non existant. “first, i’m sorry if how i acted earlier was weird.” jungwon admitted as i chuckled, “there’s nothimg weird about being my fanboy..!” i joked as we both laughed.

“secondly! riki told me it’s your second last episode, second last week before the final ranking so… i got you a little something.” he continued as he dug in the back of his pocket, taking out a bracelet.

“a little good luck charm. i have one too.” jungwon said as he lifted up his sleeve to reveal the bracelet i had made for him back in college, “you… still keep it?” he nodded, “call me toxic for keeping it or whatever but this, this is my good luck charm.” he took my hand and tied the bracelet around my wrist, smiling as i admired the bracelet.

“thanks. for, all this. i appreciate all this… maybe we could have dinner soon? after my final ranking?” i asked as i fidgeted with the bracelet on my wrist, the thought of him still keeping the bracelet i made him made the smile on my face permenant.

“of course, anyday ynnie. i have to go now, goodluck for your next show..! i’ll be watching,” he puts his hand up for a hand shake but i chuckled and pulled him close to me, hugging him tightly before going back in.

what a day.

SYNOPSIS Life is not easy as a rookie and you know that! After going viral with your fancam you have gained not only the attention of the public but also that of Enhypens cat like leader. What happens if you wake up one day with your names trending on twt ?!

DISCLAiMER this SUCKS i havent written a proper chapter in ages so its kind of dry and borderline cringy 😭😭 i hope it doesnt ruin the fic... im not good at putting my thoughts into words UEUEUEU also there are many grammar errors IM OSRRYYYYY not proofread!

Today was the day both of you have been dreading.

Jungwon has never felt this nervous before. Sure, he almost lost his shit at their debut showcase but hell, meeting the girl his members fanboy over makes his heart beat uncontrollably. Why am i like this he thought, trying to ignore the foreign emotions bubbling inside him.

The sound of the AC was faintly audible in the background as he paces around the practice room, waiting for the blonde girl's arrival. Maybe coming here earlier was a bad idea.

"Jungwon sit down no need to be nervous" his manager scolded him.

He sighed and pulled out his phone.

He immediately turned his phone off as he heard the door open, you, your manager and the choreographer entering the large room. His eyes immediately widened. Sunghoon was right, you were indeed prettier in person.

You looked around nervously, taking in the details of the room. As you and Jinhyuk (your manager) went up the stairs to the practice room, you couldnt help but grow more and more nervous.

Hybe is enormous, Jungwon is a global superstar, hell, the leader of the most promising group of this generation, and that at only age 18

you? You're merely a rookie who debuted not even half a year ago, still trying to figure out your place in this industry.

Once you entered the room, you saw Jungwon straighten up his posture staring at you with a blank expression. This definitely makes me feel better

You and your members have spent all evening searching up things Jungwon liked, from his hobbies down to his favorite food. You thought it was ridiculous, borderline creepy but wonyoung and Leeseo insisted that this would make you seem 'cool' and 'likable' (not that you arent already).

You were too busy worrying and overthinking that you didn't notice your manager speaking to you

"yn?" he called out, snapping you out of your little daydream,

'cute' Jungwon thought, looking down and slightly smirking. You looked like a deer in headlights, just more adorable.

'cute!?' he couldnt believe his thoughts could betray him. He'd rather die than admit that you, the reason why his names been trending EVERYWHERE , ARE attractive. get a grip jungwon he cheered himself up furrowing his eyebrows and puffing his cheeks.

You stood up, straightening your back. "Hello! I am IVE's Y/N its nice to meet you! I hope we will have a great time together" putting two thumbs up and smiling, your prominent dimple showing

Jungwon blinked repeatedly, flustered by your cuteness.

He tried to look anywhere but your face when he introduced himself, too scared to feel the same weird emotions again.

weird you thought.

"Its nice to finally meet you guys!" the choreographer exclaimed happily, opening the meeting with a grin on his face.

"As you guys already know, KCON LA is three weeks from now and fans are very eager to see IVE and Enhypen and whats better than seeing them separately? Together of course! Your managers have suggested a collab stage for each day since IVE is performing on the 3rd and enhypen on the 4th" he explained.

"the head of KCON has approved the stage and requested two different genres of songs which i think is amazing" he flipped open his binder, taking out four sheets.

"this is the schedule for the next two weeks. the collab stage will take place after IVE's Love Dive stage. You will perform LOVESONG by your seniors TXT. Y/N, you will open the stage with a short solo vocal performance, singing Taehyuns lines in eternal" he handed you the paper with the lyrics.

"then, Jungwon will join you, rapping yeonjuns verses. this will show your potential as a rapper! After that, there will be a small dance break and Lovesong will start. I have forwarded the choreography of the dance break to your managers.Are there any questions so far?"

You both shook your head.

"moving on, on the next day things will be a lot more relaxing. You both will be singing Polaroid love by, you guessed it, Enhypen!"

everyone laughed or smiled, you didnt know why though so you put on your best fake smile. Jungwon noticed this and rolled his eyes internally what a fool

"a cute little love song. This will also be the last performance of the event. Do you think you can handle this?"

As you were about to answer his question Jungwon was ahead of you "of course we can, i have faith in Y/N and i'm one hundred percent certain that we will be amazing"

You were shocked at how professional he sounded being a leader at such a young age really makes you grow up fast huh?

a few minutes passed and your managers seemed to be having an engaging conversation with the choreographer, leaving you guys sitting awkwardly in front of the mirror.

"Hey" you started. Getting a small hum as a response, he just looked at you blankly. Does he know about me and Sunghoon...? I swear it's not that serious...

You looked away in embarrassment. It kind of hurt a bit that hes acting so cold towards you. So far, you've been nothing but nice to him and this is what you get?

"So...."

"So.." You bit your tongue, slowly regretting starting the conversation.

"i think we should exchange numbers..if there are change of plans of course! and i think it'd be better if we get to know each other before the show to make things more comfortable!" you said with a big grin.

Jungwon looked conflicted. He tried to hide the fact that your smile affected him more than he wanted

After exchanging your numbers, Jungwon was about to leave out of the door when you stopped him

"i just wanted to say that i admire you a lot! we dont know each other but i've heard nothing but great things about you! it must have been really hard being a leader at yoour age and uhm... i dont really know why im saying this haha...hah...anyways let's have a great time together and make the best of it! We can do it!"

"nope." sunoo has never felt relieved that you covered him up since he came back in bruises that night. you carefully treated it before mrs.kim came home and sunoo couldn't help but stare at you.

You couldn't help but shake out the nerves once again. Steadying your own heartbeat, you release a long breath. You should have been used to it by now. Having met your group members months ago, TXT a day ago and NewJeans an hour ago. Nonetheless, here you are easing your stiff smile, preparing to meet another group. "Why do you look so nervous? These guys aren't scary trust me."

"Chaewon, I have to look friendly okay?" you replied quickly.

"You mean normal?" earning a side eye from you, her chuckle was short-lived. "Okay but what would looking friendly even do?" she raised her brow at your questionable logic.

"Make me seem likeable at least? " Chaewon's lips parted, about to comment at your words when you hear commotions outside the door. Your attention falls on the increasing sounds until the door is opening, revealing three males. You think you know which group they belong in, but you were never into boy groups to confidently name them.

"It's you guys huh" Chaewon's voice brings you back to earth

"You're not new!" The shorter male quickly snorts back

"It's not me, smart ass." Chaewon scoffs. She takes your hand and pulls you closer. "It's her. This is y/n"

"Well, nice to meet you y/n. I'm Jungwon. Enhypen's leader" Jungwon reach out his hands which you shook. "If you ever need a better leader for advice, always look for me"

"I'll spray you with water you cat boy" You hear Chaewon behind you, making you laugh

"I'm Sunoo!" the other boy beams. You already feel at ease with how friendly they were. With the weight slipping off your shoulder, you turn to the quiet blonde. Undifferenced by his silence, he's stood unmoving. Unsure of how you approach the blonde, you let yourself think about it while studying his face. He was good looking, really good looking. Your thinking must've been too long when you see the heat rising from his cheeks and a quick nibble on his bottom lip.

"Are you okay" Sunoo laughs, tapping the older boy’s arm

Jake was not okay.

The moment he stepped into the practice room and briefly met eye with you who was a few steps away from him, with a glint of sparkle in your eyes and a smile seemingly crafted yet effortlessly so captivating — he was breathless. Jake didn’t know your name or what you sounded like even but just staring at your pretty face was enough for him to be rendered speechless throughout your interaction with the younger boys.

“Hi?” You gently smiled, making his heart race

Jake tried his ultimate best to stare into your eyes even though it was incredibly intimidating to do so at that moment, “Hi.”

"I'm Y/N" You squeaked at the sight of him, his cute tinted cheeks and puffy lips looking so adorable.

"I'm uh- no my...Jake" Silence fills the room. Did he just forget his name?

One moment, he’s standing in front of you, next to Jungwon and Sunoo. Half a second later, he’s turning out of the door with great urgency.

Jungwon blinks, mouth parted in confusion but no sound leaves. It takes him a minute to absorb the situation at hand. Finally, mouthing, “What the fuck was that?”

The confusion one floor and two hallways away was no better. A hand over his pounding heart, Jake could feel the irregular heartbeat through the thick layer of his jumper. Jake is suddenly aware of his burning neck and ears from the encounter. There’s an exhilarating feeling in his guts, butterflies swarming in his stomach. He can vaguely hear Jungwon call his name in the background as he exits the room.

What was happening?!

Sunghoon groaned in annoyance. “He has a whole bag of sweets and I just want one single candy! You’re the leader, you tell him!”

“But Jungwon I bought this with my own money! I shouldn’t have to share!” Jake complained.

Just as Jungwon was about to comment you walked in with a sprite in hand.

“Oh hi guys!” You greeted.

Jungwon and Sunghoon said hello as you walked over to Jake.

“Hi Jakey!”

“Hi baby! Sunghoon keeps trying to steal my snacks!”

“No I’m not! You know what, I’m over this.” He said with agitation in his voice.

You laughed and took a look at the Haribo packaging. The gummy worms were a favorite of yours from time to time.

“Do you want some? Here take it!” Jake said happily giving you the package.

Jungwon and Sunghoon looked at him in shock. You sat on his lap confused.

“What?” You asked.

“So you’ll give Y/N the entire bag but you won’t share with me? What kind of brotherhood is this!” Sunghoon complained.

You giggled at Sunghoon’s behavior and got up to give him one.

“Y/N no!” Jake whined as he pulled you back down on his lap.

You looked at him with your best puppy eyes. “Jakey it’s not fair to only share with me.”

“But I like sharing with you.” He mumbled.

Jay peaked in from around the corner.

“Jake likes sharing? Guys the world must be ending because Jake is trying to get into heaven!” Jay said sarcastically.

Sunoo rolled his eyes from the hallway.

“Jake-hyung is nice but he’s not ever one to share.” He commented.

Niki agreed coming out of his room. “He’s a great person but he hogs the TV sometimes instead of sharing-“Okay I get it!” Jake interrupted.

He looked at you for leverage and you could only sigh.

“Babe you’re an amazing person but you should remember sharing is caring.”

“But I care about you most!”

Jungwon laughed. “That was cute! Like out of a drama cute!”

“That was cute but Jakey promise me that you’ll share with the members more in the new year. Play?” You requested.

Jake huffed and nodded. “Okay but only to make you happy.”

You smiled and gave him a forehead kiss of approval.

“So can I have a gummy worm now?”

“She said for the new year, Sunghoon!”

Reactions to Miracle Creator's Chapter 148

TL;DR - Raon and Cale show off their powers. Raon gains a disciple. One Living Jiangshi goes berserk.

You're a Sorcerer, Kim Hae-il! Sima Pyeong continues to be an interesting character. He misunderstands Cale of being able to use 'sorcery' and that Cale wants to hide it. 😂

Cale asks Raon to reveal himself, and Sima Pyeong and Raon goes into some deep discussion about the difference of magic and sorcery. Cale was even asked to show off his ancient powers, so he used his Water AP.

Teacher Raon This part was so cute. 🥰 Raon discovers that Sima Pyeong can sense mana, and Sima Pyeong asks Raon if he could be his teacher. Our Raon is so happy and giddy about being called "teacher-nim." Awww... 🥰🥰🥰

Of course, Cale was so concerned that teaching mana in this world might cause balance issues, and asks Jungwon for permission. Fortunately, Jungwon permits it.

Cale sets a condition though. Sima Pyeong will use what he will learn to resolve the Blood Cult problem.

Hardworking Jungwon Finally, Cale could see how hardworking our Jungwon is! Jungwon knew that he was weak, so he decides to rope in other worlds affected by the hunter families in order to propose suggestions to the God of Balance. Cale was deeply impressed by Jungwon's actions! 😊

Very Helpful Ally More Sima Pyeong stuff. Before Cale could even talk about the Living Jiangshi in the Evil Faction, Sima Pyeong brings it up. He brings up people he suspects to be either Living Jiangshi or Blood Cult spies, and gives Cale an old book in his clan about the Blood Cult. Cale and Raon's impression of him rose again.

Ending Remarks Today was a fun chapter. Next chapter, we'll see how Cale will stop the berserk Jang Hyung, the successor of the Kunlun Sect Leader, who's a Living Jiangshi. Will our Cale cough blood again? Find out next Wednesday!

yn walked into the busy hall, accompanied by minju and jennie. the trio sat down mid-audience, and waited until the chatter had dimmed down and until ningning, the student council president, was standing at the centre of the stage, highlighted by a spotlight.

"welcome students, friends and family of hybe school, we're so honored to have you here!", she spoke into the microphone. a loud cheer erupted from the audience and ningning chuckled. "i'm glad to hear that everyone is excited as we are. your program should be underneath the seat in front of you, so please feel free to take it out. now, we have many talented acts for you tonight, but we'll start it out with the school band!"

the night went flawlessly, there was a melliflous sound, which resonated in the open hall, but as the evening progressed, people become more antsy to hear the bands, and when ningning walked onto stage for the fifth time that night and said, "now everyone, i know that you've been waiting for this section all night. please welcome our first band, enhypen onto the stage!", the audience all erupted into cheer.

enhypen stepped out onto the platform and their leader, a relatively familiar boy to the girls, jungwon took the mic from ningning. "hey guys! we're enhypen and we hope you enjoy our new song, bite me!"

minju, yn and jennie all cheered at the top of their voices. even if they had too much pride to admit it, they did want to support enhypen and jay. they screamed in support right up until the end of the act, even when jungwon was closing up the performance, speaking out into the microphone before him, "thank you so much for cheering for us, we loved performing for you!"

yn thought her night couldn't get better. enhypen had performed perfectly, or at least as close to perfect as possible. but, a group who the trio was unacquainted with entered the stage. they went by the name ‘txt’, short for ‘tomorrow x together’—tagline ‘you and i, different but together.’

yn was startruck. they began their set with ‘dear sputnik’, which, despite the girls not knowing who this band was, was a well-loved song by the students and alumni. even though yn was captured by how the words rolled off the vocalist’s lips, and how the drummer perfectly encapsulated the rhythm, occasionally freestyling with the hi-hat and snare, she had her eyes on a specific member, a guitarist who seemed to be playing effortlessly. he looked like he truly enjoyed creating music, producing a sonorous, pure sound. her eyes were stuck on the boy. she didn’t want to waste a second looking away, she didn’t want to waste a second even blinking. she couldn't look away. it was only after two songs that she turned to jennie, asking, “hey, who is that guitarist?”

“uh, i’m actually not too sure. i’m friends with kai, the keyboardist though, so i’ll ask him about it later.”, jennie replied, and opened her mouth to continue before minju cut in,

“they’re so good, right?”

“yeah, they are. arguably even better then enhypen”, jennie said.

jennie and minju continued to discuss the performances , and it was covered by the loud cheers for the group onstage, but, in yn’s ears, all the noise had died down, other than the sweet sound of his guitar.

PRETTY BOY!

plot: niki swears he met the girl of his dreams at the convenience store late one night- however, his discovery proves to be misguided. the "girl" he likes is actually just a really pretty boy, and he's the main vocalist of the new and wildly popular boy group of four, X_CAPE.

small warning: mention of drugs (it's nothing serious dw)

chapter fifteen: chaeri snorts meth

it's only the first of many joint recording sessions, and much to jungwon's relief, the studio they've convened in has not yet descended into chaos.

after some discussion, the two groups decided to work with what yn and his members had already created. they'd gotten through a lot, surprisingly, with nearly all seven songs on the track and two already recorded. one song that each member would write individually, two full-band b-sides and a title track would be included, but now it was just the matter of figuring out how enhypen would fit into it.

"who's gonna be on which song?" jake queries after ivory lays out all of the information, and almost instantly the latter jumps right into a detailed explanation.

"in the end it's up to us, but we did receive suggestions based on how well each of us will work together- and no, you two, that doesn't automatically mean you're getting paired," he scolds yn and riki sternly, who open their mouths in protest as they've just moved to sit side-by-side on the couch.

"we didn't even say shit-"

"be a buddy not a fucking bully-"

"anyway, you seven will be split among our four so that only one member will have an individual feature," the white-blonde plows on. he glances over at the shorter leader, who takes the lead from here.

"that single feature is likely going to be left to me with kuli, since our vibes and style are really similar. it's still up for debate, though. jay, you're gonna join ivy on this, and sunghoon as well because your compatibility's high, according to management." the trio move to high-five, and ivory grins as he resumes the rundown.

"chaeri's going for a new approach in the song he's writing. it's more vocals-based, so heeseung and jake will be coaching him on that." and what duo could have possibly clicked with the youngest better? they're ridiculously quick to take him under their wing, but that may have also had to do with his shared obsession with ramyeon.

"which leaves sunoo with yn. both of you have a strong voice and have the capacity to hit high notes, but the contrast of your ranges make you a great matchup."

"finally, i've been needing to tell you something," sunoo's mischievous smirk is nothing short of excited, but ni-ki's frown is a stark contrast.

"what about me? what am i supposed to do?"

jungwon rolls his eyes in exasperation. "was it not obvious? you're with them, you can balance their voices with your low notes more than any of us can." the effect is instantaneous; the teen's crestfallen expression morphs to sheer thrill as he relaxes back in his spot next to yn.

sunghoon snorts. "not like he'd work with anyone else in the first place." he grumbles, and kuli muffles a giggle behind the sleeve of his sweater.

"so everyone's happy with their teams, yeah?" a chorus of approval is all the tallest receives, ranging anywhere from "yes" to "fuck yes". "now that's dealt with we can move onto the titl-"

"wait, so we basically just got into groups for no reason?" chae interrupts, finding that all the talking is giving him a headache.

"we need them for after, dumbass. as i was saying-"

"oh fuck's sake, give me that," yn takes matters into his own hands- quite literally, as he snatches the laptop ivory's using for reference from his possession, loading the draft for their main song with a couple clicks. the white-haired boy fixes him with a death glare that he chooses to ignore as he sets the device on his lap, riki casually sliding closer until their knees touch in order to peer further. all of a sudden sunoo leaps from the sofa as if the surface is boiling hot, clearly not in the mood to be a third-wheel at the moment. he side-eyes the boys with a passion, who seem to have departed into their own universe with their temples gently pressed together and poring over the lyrics, muttering suggestions so soft that only the other can hear them.

"since when did they get so close," heeseung mumbles, and jay's about to call him fucking stupid for not knowing before realizing that he doesn't either.

it's been several weeks since the two met, and yet they clicked with one another like pieces of a puzzle in mere days. the other nine can't quite recall when their friendship began, however; the introductions were abrupt but not unwelcome. suddenly the 17-year-olds had taken to spending time together at least once weekly (if not more frequently), and still not a single person is aware of the details of their initial run-in.

except for sunoo, of course. but he isn't aware that everyone else is not as well informed as he.

with crossed arms he raises an eyebrow. "you guys seriously don't remember?" he assumes it's a unanimous "no" as they turn to him, interest piqued. "like, two or three months ago? when riki was out late at the convenience store and he..." but then it occurs to him that maybe he should've kept that to himself, because up until now he was the only one that knew niki thought yn was a girl when they first met. well, the truth was bound to be released eventually, sunoo's always been a sucker for gossip.

he's cut himself off too late. the realization has dawned on chaeri, and before sunoo can stop him he lets out a small exclamation of understanding. "oh yeah! yn met him at, like, midnight in a fuckin' CU-" after silently comprehending the look sunoo's giving him kuli slaps his palm over chae's mouth, but the damage has been done. a second of processing is all it takes for the others to compute and gasp in unison.

"do they think we don't know they're talking about us?" yn murmurs under his breath, glancing at the circle of their members aggressively whispering from the corner of his eye.

"they aren't very slick, are they," riki replies quietly. "you made a typo here."

"you literally wrote that."

"i literally didn't-"

"SO THAT'S WHY RIKI DELETED THAT POST ABOUT THAT HOT GIRL HE SAW WHEN HE FOLLOWED YN- IT WAS ACTUALLY YN?!" sunghoon has the decency to whisper, but the intensity of it is so powerful that it's more like a hushed scream. needless to say, he's flabbergasted, but it's not just him.

"SHH, SHH SH!!" noticing the others' stunned faces, sunoo is quick to shush them. "listen, you can't say anything about this to them! if riki hears he'll know i spilled and i'm fucked! if yn hears then i'll be equally as fucked!" he groans.

"okay, sunoo," jungwon has to stifle an amused smile at his distress. "we won't say anything. right?" pointedly, he stares at the rest, who nod rather unconvincingly.

sunoo feels ready to cry. i'm so fucked.

"hold on." chaeri blinks densely. "you six knew all of this shit that we didn't and still didn't do the math?"

kuli tunes back into the conversation at the wrong moment and mishears the statement, sending chae a dirty look. "meth?"

"the fuck? i said math-"

"chaeri snorts meth?" riki yells abruptly, yn snickering beside him.

"you couldn't tell?"

"you're ADOPTED!" jake practically guffaws at chaeri's retort, and yn doesn't even spare them a glance as he lifts both middle fingers. however, niki's patience has worn thin.

"are any of you guys gonna, i don't know, help at all?" he sneers sarcastically.

"sorry, we didn't want to interrupt your cuddle time," jay hollers and is met not just by twin leers, but also a sharp glare and hard smack on the back of the head by sunoo "ow! what the f-"

riki and yn dissolve into peels of laughter, holding onto each other for support. "deserved!"

"shut it, both of you."

"mkay, so jay gets ZERO lines in this song-"

"oh, fuck you!"

sunoo breathes a sigh of relief as he and the crowd surround yn and riki. he's spared for now, but if a slip of the tongue ends with riki discovering that he spilled his lovely little secret, someone is going to get SLAPPED.

notes: excuse the meth joke, had that exact convo earlier n used it as inspo. mb. rushed ending again, also dont expect me to shut up bout skz anytime soon im on my bs for AT LEAST 2 months,,, likely we r right around the middle of this smau but nothings set in stone yet !!
