Helblindi Laufeyson, older brother of Loki, though not aware that his younger sibling survived birth. Also, Laufey's mother, done with her son's shit, ready for her grandsons to take over. Clothing (and culture) is inspired by Celtic and Scottish Gaelic designs

From what we've seen of Jotunheim it looks really dark so jotuns have to have night vision and long slit pupils like cats which would also make Loki quite sensitive to light. I really want Marvel to explore them more, their biology, culture, history.

Random Lokius Thought
Tumblr media
At some point in Loki (the show), I want Loki to accidentally turn into his Jötunn (start turning blue and growing tall) in front of Mobius. He gets scared and tries hiding since he was taught to keep that part of him hidden, which made him feel ashamed of it. Mobius immediately stops him, takes Loki’s face in between his hands, and says, “Loki, you’re beautiful.” Close to tears, Loki holds onto Mobius’ hands and leans his head against his. Since then, Loki feels more comfortable switching to his Jötunn form because he knows Mobius will be there as his support.
If anyone ever complains about Loki’s form, Mobius won’t hesitant to defend him. By the end of it, they’ll be too scared to even look at Loki for days. After the first time, Loki kind of hopes it’ll happen because he finds scary Mobius attractive.

MARVEL Headcannon #2:
Nebula, Loki, and Bucky, upon meeting, would either be the best of friends or petty rivals, no in-between.
On an offhand, Loki and Nebula HAVE, in fact, met. It wasn't a pleasant meeting, but they both have a mutual respect for each other for surviving Th*n*s, and for being the overlooked, blue little sibling to hero-type, perfect older siblings. After all the craziness, they meet up and do infact become fast friends. They meet in secret to bitch and brood, as well as accustoming Loki to embrace their Jotunn form.
Anyways, there is an unspoken agreement between all the Avengers and the Guardians that these 3 are not allowed to meet, ever.
(They don't know about Loki and Nebula and their Broody and Blue Club for now. But if they did, they would all rue the day they stop simply brooding and start committing crimes and acts of chaos. And then would proceed to ensure that Bucky never meets the blue gremlins. Which would probably backfire if I'm being honest.)

So the idea I had is based on all the hairclips Loki has when presenting as femme is thats a thing that Jotun women and girls do. They decorate their hair with either gold or other shiny accessories. I just liked the idea of Loki having some connection to their heritage
i love the idea of them connecting themself with the community they were pulled from after they learn to accept themself

Jotunheim worldbuilding headcanons
Jotunheim, the land of giants, is home to various kinds of giants, each with its unique abilities and characteristics. The Frost Giants, dwell in the Arctic regions of Jotunheim and possess mastery over the ice and snow. The Forest Giants, on the other hand, have a profound connection with nature and possess the ability to communicate with plants and animals. The Land Giants, known for their gentle nature, have an inherent sense of direction and possess vast knowledge of their surroundings. They reside in the expansive plains of Jotunheim. The Mountain Giants, the physically strongest of the Jotun kind, make their homes in the mountains, inhabit the mountains, and often share borders with the Forest and Land Giants. Lastly, the Storm Giants, the most nomadic of the giants, can control the winds and change their size. As they grow larger, their bodies become more ethereal. While some Storm giants have settled in the mountains, most of them wander the lands of Jotunheim.
Jotunheim largely is a wintery world but is nevertheless home to a diverse range of flora and fauna. The inhabitants of Jotunheim, the giants, are skilled in working with a variety of fabrics and materials. They make abundant use of leather and fur, but they also possess knowledge of silk, cotton, and flax fabrics. Frost giants primarily use and produce furs and thick silks, while forest giants specialize in creating different types of linen. Land giants are known for producing leather and cotton, while mountain giants are skilled in finding and working with different types of metals and gems. Finally, storm giants are renowned for their ability to create vibrant dyes and pigments.
Jotun fabric is renowned for its exquisitely intricate embroidery. Each of their fabrics is a reflection of the natural world that surrounds them, drawing inspiration from every journey they undertake. Their designs are inspired by the delicate shapes of snowflakes and ice, the intricate patterns of leaves, flowers, and vines, and the stunning formations of rocks and crystals. Jotun's attention to detail and dedication to creating unique and captivating designs make their fabrics a true work of art.
Frost and Storm giant females are known for adorning their hair with shiny embellishments, such as gold or other sparkling accessories. On the other hand, forest giant women and girls are often seen using flowers as hair decorations. Land Giants tend to keep their hair up in fancy braids.
Among the diverse cultures inhabiting the planet Jotunheim, only the Land and Forest giants have a significant history of plant cultivation. While the Land giants have been successful in establishing large-scale farms, the Mountain giants, who share some of their territories with the Land giants, have limited agricultural practices. Forest giants have some history with farming however their agriculture has been mostly used to develop herbal and medicinal results. In contrast, the Frost Giants have a minimalistic approach to agriculture, and their cultivation is mainly limited to root vegetables. They rely more on foraging for their sustenance, though trading is also prevalent. As for the Storm Giants, who are primarily nomadic, they do not engage in agriculture, but they possess excellent skills in foraging. Their expertise in finding and collecting plants has enabled other communities to further develop their agricultural practices.

loki & his orange hair.
Loki has had long orange hair for as long as Ragnarok in an effort to not really care about it's growth anymore and he doesn't cut it until way later on when his wife SIGYN points it out to him , but even then she became enraptured with it. it's save to say that he wears green more often then not as he prefers the emerald and teal shades of fashion , but his clothes are always carefully picked out due to his fashion tastes. before Ragnarok he wore green and red. and after green and teal.
he doesn't quite fit in with the aesir with his fashions and more has a jotunn style then anything with eyes that can shape-shift into a serpents , but often times he's just developing his own mannerisms along with his fashion. a jotunn with orange hair isn't common either but he takes it after his mother Laufey. he is really used to her complimenting his long hair saying he looks like her.

the only person in hel’s family that she is taller than, per my own personal lore, is her stepmother. sigyn is aeesir compared to hel as a jotunn. the insult there is not that sigyn is taller than her stepdaughter, as that is simply not true. the insult is that she’s almost as tall as hel and that’s what’s giving her a complex.
Tumblr media
it’s not a victory if sigyn can put on heels and look down at hel like when hel was a kid. to say nothing of most aesir, male and female, having never stopped being able to look down at hel. sigyn’s own perpetually adolescent half-aesir sons are looking down on their half-sister daily and that’s simply salting the wound.

hiiii, I love your writing! I was wondering if you could write some loki headcanons for a where Loki just likes to be in his jotunn form around the reader, because she’s really nerdy about fantasy writings and stuff so she thinks he looks amazing like that 🤩
Thank you soo much ❤️ I am always here for Loki in his Frost Giant Form ❤️ we need more content about that
Tumblr media
Loki isn't someone who trusts others easily but when you have his trust and he feels comfortable around you & enjoys your Company- Loki would do almost anything for you
You basically won in Life - he is a very unique Person and you can learn so much from him
Once you saw his Frost Giant Form by accident ,Loki was terrified that you would be scared of him and wouldn't like being around him anymore - but instead you were thrilled and excited
"Wow " "Omg " you were stoked seeing him like this - walking closer to him you said "You are cold ,soo cold " - "Well ..I am a Frost Giant, Darling" - "Amazing" you answered with a smile
"I always knew you were special" you confessed - "I can say the same about you, most People would be scared or think of me as a Monster ,but you ... you were not scared..... you are different"he stated
"I am fascinated by You" you admitted with a blush
Since then he started to like being around you in his Frost Giant Form - because he is comfortable to be himself with you
You are glad that Loki feels secure in your Presence
Loki knows about your Fantasy Story's and how much you love writing them - maybe one day you will be inspired to write about him - he thought
From time to time you ask him Questions like if you are a Frost Giant ,are there also Fire Giants ? or Earth Giants ? What about Water Giants ? Air Giants ?
A week ago, you invited him to join you for a Movie Night to Watch Avatar - the first time he saw the blue Giants on the Screen ,he crossed his Arms and said "Don't you dare compare me with those Creatures"
Yesterday you decided to watch "Beauty and the Beast" with him and Loki noticed how excited you were seeing the Beast and how disappointed you were seeing the Beast turning into a Human - so he had to ask "Darling, do you prefer me like this or my Frost Giant Form ?" "I love you either way" you confessed with reddened Cheeks
"Love? You love me ?" He asked "Yes ,very much " you replied

I actually didn’t expect you to do my request ( the Van Helsing one ) since I’m used to my request being ignored but I’m thankful nevertheless
Can you make a headcanon of the DMC men with a reader who is basically the daughter of Loki, the bastard offspring of the Jotunn.
She’s a deity who is forsaken by the other gods, including her father due to her grotesque form. In order to be accepted, she wears a disguise of a woman but her real form looks somewhat like this and the reason for her disguise is that she herself detest that form because that’s the reason of her father’s abandonment and she fears that anyone close to her would leave the same way he did when they found out who she truly is.
She’s a deity who guards the Norwegian forest and basically turn anyone into a “Twitter hashtag” if they do not respect nature, take more than what’s given and skim through their subconscious to find they’d done bad deed
( Her abilities and appearance based on the 2017 The Ritual’s Moder )
Tumblr media
Bro, I'd never ignore a request, even if I had to turn it down, I'd still say something. Here you go and enjoy! 💜💜
Sparda boys + V x daughter of Loki!Reader headcannons
¤ Dante ¤
-Your human disguise captivated Dante; it was more beautiful than any woman he'd ever seen.
-When he saw your true nature, and how you'd been shunned for it, he immediately walked over, threw his arms around your neck, and told you he still loved you no matter what you looked like.
-He tells you that there's no need to feel ashamed of your abilities, and that your dad abandoned you cause he was a jerk, not because of anything you did. You are amazing person, with supernatural powers that you should be proud of.
-He honestly found it kinda cool that you guarded forests and destroy those who disrespect nature and commit evil deeds. It's what he would do if he were a mighty, magical deity.
-He considers moving to Norway to be closer to you, but he first has to figure out how to relocate Devil May Cry.
-Really, really, really wants to ride on your back but is worried your spine will break or will poke him in places he shouldn't be poked in.
■ Vergil ■
-Vergil was impressed when he saw your true form, as it was a testament of your POWER.
-He was astounded when you told him your father abandoned you and that you had been shamed for your true nature. Why would anyone do that? Vergil was sure you had to have been the coolest deity in heaven--there is absolutely no reason for you to resent your true self.
-He motivates you to accept who you are, but he won't stop you from using your human disguise because it is quite beautiful.
-Spends more time outdoors, specifically in the forest, because he knows you guard them.
-He has nothing to say about what you do to those who disrespect the forest or commit bad deeds because he simply doesn't care, but wonders if you would use these powers to kill demons.
-He can feel it when you scan his mind and decides to mentally tell you he loves you whenever you do.
□ Nero □
-Nero saw your human form and was enthralled; you're the hottest chick he'd ever met.
-Then he saw your true form, and was absolutely terrified, which is understandable considering his girlfriend just morphed and changed into a monster straight out of a horror movie before his eyes.
-It takes him a moment, but then he pulls himself together and reminds himself that you are still you and...hey...this whole monster thing is starting to work for him.
-He's sorry to hear how you were treated because of your lineage and abilities, and promises to not let you feel that way about yourself again.
-He is proud of you and what you do, taking the time to head to the forests to visit you whenever he can.
-He also constantly reminds you that you are worth more than the world and that you are an amazing deity whom he will always love, even if you're a scary monster.
● V ●
-V was attracted to you, though not because of your human disguise. It was because of something else.
-You just captivated him, for no discernable reason. This reason was soon unveiled when you revealed your true and terrifying self to him.
-Though some might be disgusted or even frightened, V was amazed, charmed; bewitched. He'd never seen anything like this and he loved it.
-V can't take his eyes off you, his hungry gaze searching over you, memorizing each and every detail. He's going to write so many poems about you.
-He loves you and wants you to know you were cast out for a ridiculous reason. You are incredible; you always will be, and you should be proud of who you are.
-Makes sure to tell you that every chance he gets, either through poetry, his own words, or both.

Loki Headcanons #1
Tumblr media
On this Laugardar (Lokedagr), I bring you some marvelous Loki headcanons. They will be posted on Saturdays, but I can't guarantee every Saturday. If you'd like to see a drabble based on one of these, send an ask or message my way.
Despite his disdain for Midgardians, Loki still appreciates Classical music and Renaissance-era art. He will not tolerate modern music, such as pop, punk, screamo, etc. To him, this is simply "ear murder" music.
Loki finds solace in bookstores and museums... well, at east until he visits the Viking display and sees the Viking's grotesque depiction of him. He would either throw a tantrum or silently "upgrade" the statuette/illumination.
He owns a black cat whom he affectionately calls Lokitty, Prince of Asgard and Heir to the Throne. His shape-shifting nature often has people wondering if they are petting a real cat or Loki transformed into a cat. Loki relishes in people's confusion and loves to keep them guessing.
He once gave catnip to Freya's cats to see if the herb would affect them the same way in which it affected their Midgardian counterparts. Spoiler alert: it did. They were too stoned to pull Freya's chariot, and she had to use Thor's goats instead. Freya was livid, but when she confronted Loki about it, he had absolutely no idea of what she was talking about.
Loki might have come to respect Dr Strange for his talent in magic, if Dr Strange had only offered him a cup of tea instead of MAKING HIM FALL FOR THIRTY MINUTES. Unfortunately, his previous attacks on Midgard would have made any sort of friendship between them impossible.
Loki gets nightmares, and because of his deep connection to magic, they can cause him to subconsciously revert to his Jotunn form. The air around him would become impossibly cold, and frost would form in dusty tendrils on the surfaces around him...
Lastly, Loki would most definitely attach knives to a Roomba. Or several hundred Roombas. And then release them in a crowded office.

Maybe unpopular opinion?? Don't really know but I'll scream it into the void anyways
Why isn't there more art/fics/headcanons/etc of Loki and Steve Rogers being absolute best friends?!
Loki grew up as the God of Mischief, that really doesn't need further explanation. Steve Rogers was a rebellious little shit that got into fights all the time, would ABSOLUTELY waste New York's thousands of dollars by wrecking anti-homeless architecture (I know that post is floating somewhere here on tumblr), made a living in the military of punching n*zis, very anti-government and just a general threat to the American Capitalist system, WAS A FUGITIVE IN 100+ COUNTRIES DUE TO FIGHTING FOR HIS EVENTUAL-HUSBAND, and would organize protests and riots for social justice issues.
Steve is a menace. Loki is a menace. How is there not fics and art of those two stealing artifacts from the British Museum and returning them to their native countries? How is there not fics and art of those two stealing diapers and formula to give to low-income/homeless parents? How is there not fics and art of those two being dragged away by Bucky and Thor after beating the shit out of a catcaller?
They also both know what it's like to be the outcasts of their respective societies: Steve was born chronically ill and living in a world that would rather see him bleed out than live. Loki was born so small for a Jotunn he was left to die and then raised in Asgard which isolated him as well for his lack of strength and violent nature.
LET STEVE AND LOKI BE FRIENDS

For some reason I can't rebolg this post I saw on @ripfic account I'll just post it here.
It's about lights in Asgard and how every room seems to be very dim and lacking proper lighting and that brings me back to frost giants having night vision, therefore sensitivity to light. Would Loki prefer the rooms to be dimmer? Would he subconsciously dim the lights with magic when he enters a room? Would his room have less light sources than others? Would the warriors 3 be shocked at how for some reason he can see better in the dark than them when they're on a hunting trip? Would they accuse him of using magic? Probably.
I know he would be in his Asgardian form but I feel like there are certain aspects that seep through a little, like he can handle cold better and has a slightly lower body temperature, just by a few degrees.

Heeeeeey, I just got to think about Loki and Angrboda’s daughter, Hel. Do you have some headcanons about her? Like appearance, personality, hobbies, her relationship with others and her name besides Hel (like Atreus that is also known as Loki).
It would be funny if Angrboda and Loki names her Melinöe. What do you think Hel’s relationship with Björn, Revna and her paternal cousins be like?
Broken Truth (Reads the ask): A Headcanon about Hel/Melinöe? That sounds like a challenge to me, my friend. Now, let the words weave together.
Life in Jotunheim was rather dull for Atreus - or Loki of the Jotunn, as the Asgard knew him - and his wife, Angrboda; Loki would plot to get his siblings back under the claws of his father and himself but that stopped one day when Angrboda came to him with her hand on her stomach and announced to him that she was expecting their child. Loki didn't know what to think - he would be a father and have a family. He decided to place his plans on hold and focus on the baby that his loving wife was carrying.
Time ticked on, and Loki made a room in the house for the new baby and built all the furniture himself, such to Angrboda's joy - she was pleased to see him focusing his energy on something that wasn't his wayward siblings. He became rather protective of Angrboda, as did Fenrir and Jörmungandr, they would make sure to keep Angrboda in their sights and aid her with anything that she needed so she wouldn't have to strain herself and harm the baby in any way.
Then the night came, Angrboda's water broke, and she went into Labor. Loki called upon the All-Mother, Freya, who came to the Realm of the Giants to safely deliver the baby. After much pushing, screaming, swearing, and hand-holding, a caramel-skinned infant was brown with eyes as blue and deep as the ocean with a head of black hair with tannish highlights was born. Freya cleaned her off before wrapping her in the blanket that Loki had prepared for her before handing her to her panting mother and awaiting father. Angrboda held the infant with loving and tender care before kissing her on the forehead, making the infant giggle. She was beautiful and both parents agreed. When the topic of names came up from Freya, Loki stated that he wanted her to have 2 names: A Midgard Name and a Jotunn Name. When Loki picked the Midgard name 'Melinöe', Angrboda picked the Jotunn Name 'Hel'. Neither of them questioned the other, just enjoyed their time as a family.
The sands of time moved on and Melinöe grew into a rather adventurous child - riding on Fenrir's back, climbing the cliffs of the realm, reading, writing, and sometimes Loki caught her singing to the World Serpent as he slept under the waves. When she was 7 years old, her magi awakened and Angrboda taught her how to control it along with Kratos teaching her how to use a bow and arrow; he was hoping he would leave her his axe but she didn't like it too much.
One day, Hel noticed her father walking out of the house and going somewhere and decided to follow him, only to see him coming to a village and facing off again the leader of the village - a woman with firey hair - and a man with scars all over his body but the most noticeable were the 3 claw marks on his face. Hel listened to her father demand the man - Björn - to return to him and her grandfather but the man turned into a giant bear and roared at her father; he was alone and ran away but Hel looked at the bear and woman before watching 3 children running to them. Two males and a female; their children, perhaps? Hel wanted to walk out of the bushes and introduce herself but she was scared. They didn't like her father, how would they feel about her? Hel decided to return home that day and think about how to approach her other side of the family.
It would be on the day Hel was 13 years old that he decided to introduce herself to her cousins - it was rough, considering they didn't like her father but the middle child - Modi - told his siblings to give her a chance. Magni - the Oldest - was skeptical as was the female - Faye - but Modi was kind and open to welcoming Hel as his cousin. The 4 cousins talked about their days, and sparring matches, Hel would tell them about her life with her parents and her wish to get to know the siblings her father is so obsessed with. Magni offered to introduce Hel to his father and mother but Faye was against it; she didn't want Hel to get hurt. Hel offered to introduce herself as Melinöe and the 3 of them returned to Great Bear Village and began speaking to the Village Head - Astrid - when Bjorn arrived with his twin sister - Revna. Revna looked at the child and her eyes narrowed, causing Hel to hide behind Modi. Modi explained who Melinöe was and begged hnis family to give her a chance. She wasn't her father and hse shouldn't be blamed for his mistakes. Bjorn and Revna looked at each other and nodded before looking at the girl. "We shall give you a chance for odi speaks the truth. You aren't your father and shouldn't be blamed for his mistake."

Now that I've written out Sigyn's GOW verse, all the headcanons for it are suddenly coming at me all at once. So here they are...at least some of them...
Tumblr media
Just some headcanons about Sigyn in her God of War Verse:
Thrúd was Sigyn's best friend in Asgard. She knew of her father's problems with drinking and would help talk her through it. They would also often train together to become Valkyrie.
Just like everyone else in Asgard, Sigyn never got along well with Heimdall. He would often call her out for not wanting to become a Valkyrie and mocked her for wanting to hold a bowl rather than a sword instead.
Sigyn never thought bad of the Jotunn and her thoughts were confirmed when meeting Atreus/Loki. He encouraged her to follow her dreams and be herself.
Sigyn was deeply heartbroken losing her parents during Ragnarok, but decided to finally admit to Sif and Thrud that she didn't want to be a Valkyrie. Instead she wants to learn magic and become a Healer. She refuses to no longer ignore not following her heart and dreams.
If Sigyn had met Atreus/Loki in Asgard, I feel she would have instantly developed a crush on him. No lies there. And she would have talked with him during his stay there, being a friend to him along with Thrud, welcoming him with open arms.
And when he decides to leave and go figure out who Loki is supposed to be, along with finding other giants, Sigyn goes along with him, wanting to find her destiny as well (which is ironically, in turn, making her into the Goddess of Fidelity since she sticks by his side and is loyal to him.)
Contrary to popular belief, Sigyn would get along well with Angrboda and considers her as another friend. They would bond over art, magic and animals too. And when Sigyn does eventually figure out that Atreus/Loki has a crush on Angrboda, she would try to pair them together, encouraging it, even if she is sad she isn't the one he likes.
She learns magic from both Atreus/Loki and Angrboda.

sending a ✿ right back at you for aislinn/niamh and loki/niamh!
SEND “ ✿ ” FOR 2 HEADCANONS FOR OUR MUSES’ RELATIONSHIP.
Aislinn/Niamh
They share clothes all of the time. Aislinn probably steals a ton of Niamh's sweaters, since Niamh is bigger so her sweaters are looser. But Aislinn looks so cute in them that Niamh can't get mad.
I could see them eventually getting chickens and a goat, or maybe a cow! Have a little farm by their cottage, with their sweet kitty cat.
Loki/Niamh
In the Jotunn AU, when the baby is born, Loki is the parent who loves to carry the baby EVERYWHERE in the little body sling. If Niamh needs a break, that baby is going to an important meeting. (Nobody minds bc the baby is the CUTEST).
In the princess/knight au, I like to think they eventually get to leave the stifling atmosphere of having to be royalty and settle down in a nice little town somewhere.
