so uh, i had this jotaro fic idea, here's the draft synopsis/summary that i made like, almost a month ago ????
-
years later after you and jotaro's divorce, jolyne slowly realized the weight it has been giving on your shoulders. the usual sparkle in your eyes gone, the stares you usually give to families with both parents present and a loving partner: jolyne was still a child that time but as she grew up, the hurt that brews inside of you became apparent as years had gone by.
one time when she was a child, she realized that the time where you were gone for two weeks, you were in a hotel, crying your eyes out, while kakyoin, polnareff, avdol, and even joseph took turns on taking care of jolyne while you were gone. as a mother, you couldn't bear nor didn't have the time to bawl your eyes out after the divorce and you're sure as hell that you wouldn't want your child witnessing you in your misery. so once you got the leave you were waiting for from your company, you booked a room and stayed there until you cried your heart out.
seeing the damaged it had done to you, jolyne— a decade after— made it as her life mission to go back in the past and stop both you and jotaro from being together. she just wants you to be happy again, and be free from the heavy feeling of your heart once and for all.
even if it means that her existence will be no more.

pls let me know what u think! 🫶🏻

RENGOKU!READER X P4 JOTARO KUJO
Tumblr media
Traveling to Morioh was a tedious task. Especially with your father and with your brother whom you treasure wholeheartedly. As much as you wanted to take on the job that has been offered to you by a taxi driver that brought you to Morioh, you refused. You and your group (of 9) were sent to different parts of Japan to monitor suspicious activity in their assigned vicinity. Not that the Speedwagon Foundation was aware of this, they received the news from your boss once the mission was sent to all 9 of you. Although you would’ve wanted to stay and train the three subordinates you worked with once, the boss prohibited you from doing so.
It was due to the injuries you sustained during the fight. The enemy Stand user impaled your torso before you can act, and gave you multiple bruises that took too long to heal. However, you thanked your co-worker for healing you. It was as if nothing ever happened in that area, but the guilt and the faces of those three children that witnessed you in that fight stayed with you ever since. You remember the cries of anguish and the shouts of your name that they produced as you were lulled into unconsciousness after the fight. It was hard being a martial artist, paired with the dangers of being a stand user, and the other losses you experienced with other subordinates as you tried to defeat enemy stand users. Oh, well, at least the pay was good, and you were an optimist. (you were certain a particular black-haired man with a black and white striped haori would knock you out).
To say that most members of your group held respect for you after that fight would be an understatement. You barely made it alive, but you brushed off the experience as if nothing ever happened. They were elated, ecstatic that you persisted throughout the battle, though a few of them would not admit it, and their respect rose higher for you at your determination to stay; despite the numerous convincing that you should retire. You responded with something they would treasure, something that would never make their admiration for you never waver. Speaking of your three subordinates, you hoped that everything went well for them as a new addition to the underground company. It was not illegal-- well, in some aspects, it was-- but it was a company protecting the future for Stand users and citizens alike. Despite the rumors being spread that your company was just as bad as a mafia, the government made no move to expel it, courtesy of the Speedwagon Foundation. Although you would have preferred to travel to Morioh with a partner, you understood their predicament, as there were only a few that would have matched your strength to be placed as your plus one. It took long for you to reach the highest rank in their hierarchy, but you knew the effort was enough. Morioh was a quiet city infested with Stand users, you and the others knew that, so they entrusted this mission to you. Strength unwavering and determination relentless, they knew you were to be trusted. Your fellow ‘Hashiras’-- as the title was-- were only a call away. They won’t let you reach the same state you were in all those months ago. So, why did they send you alone, then? With the question on your mind, you confronted your boss about this, and he delivered a smile in response. He told you that you would be working with someone from the Speedwagon Foundation, as they shared the same predicament as your company did. You did not retaliate, instead, bowing and excused yourself out of his office.
Your Stand allows you to control fire via your sword, along with its other components. You have only seen the importance of such a stand this far, polishing your movements to be as smooth as it was now. Spending years of training and effort all by yourself with the guidance of books alone was enough for you to be enlisted in the group, and then suddenly, being able to call yourself a Hashira. You figured it wasn’t as lousy as relying only on your stand. You had enough subordinates dying from making such a mistake. By coincidence, you landed yourself at the same bus stop as Jotaro Kujo, your supposed partner in this mission. He knew it was you upon hearing a loud yell of his name, almost catching the wide smile on your face as you waved over. He muttered something inaudible as he lowered his cap before turning to you. The fellow was weird!
You, alone, were initiating conversation with the man. He knew of your rank, your achievements, the incidents of your company, and he knew you. Well, generally, he knew you. You were aware of the man before you, having been the one who killed DIO during his trip to Egypt 10 years prior. Your appearance was quite peculiar, a tailored uniform for Stand users belonging to your company, and the bizarre demeanor you present to everybody. He wonders if you were to meet an enemy, would you act the same as you present yourself to him? He only knows of your character, but not as a person, so your enthusiastic exterior caught him slightly off guard. He reminded you that the ‘mission’ you two are taking is more of a personal impediment he subjected himself to. You didn’t mind, even offering him help that he reluctantly accepted, keeping your offer in mind. He knew that you had immense physical prowess, never relying on your Stand all that often as you shaped yourself into an incredible weapon of intense destruction. That’s what he has heard, anyway. He would need to fight with you to see how you truly are in battle.
You two met Koichi, and eventually, Josuke, who commented on your appearance which you took as a compliment, making you return a compliment of yours as well. He appreciated your compliment about his hair, face brightening at your words. Although, the smile blooming on your face was enough for him to compare it with the sun; your smile was enough to send people into a trance, the type of trance that, although unexpected, was mesmerizing enough to lull them into submission. His behavior would flip into a 180, however, when Jotaro accidentally insulted his hair, making you retaliate in favor of Josuke. When they fought, however, you weren’t able to get a good grasp on Jotaro’s Stand. It was as if the punch came out of nowhere, but you would be lying if you weren’t amazed at both of their Stands. You were paid an explanation by Josuke about his own stand, before being interrupted by Jotaro with his full life story. You sat there, agape, before ushering the boy to the side to scold Jotaro, making him mutter a phrase that you heard. (His signature line, Good grief). That didn’t stop him from continuing, though, that he warned the both of you for. Your smile never wavered, however, enthusiastically stating that all of you will be able to overcome this. Josuke agreed, piping in just as energetically, making Jotaro sigh and leave.
You and Jotaro kept in contact whilst in his stay in Morioh, your rooms not that far from each other and informing the other of your encountered enemies. Despite his rough exterior, you appreciate his effort to talk to you. To him, however, was originally shocked at your switch in personality when an enemy stand user is the topic of conversation. It was not long until he asked for your help, with a Stand user that was able to manipulate electrical currents and travel through them. Okay, an unusual stand. Though, you managed to meet up with Josuke, Jotaro, and two other men you can vividly recall. A man, whose name you found out was Okuyasu, waved to you brightly and you heard him say that “Oh, isn’t that your partner, Jotaro?!”, with bubbling excitement radiating off his aura. You held back a loud chuckle, waving back to him with equal elation. While it was the Hashiras’ choice to either save or kill the enemy stand user, usually depending on their situation and their regret, you mostly save those you truly think to deserve a second chance. In jail, obviously.
Upon noticing Okuyasu’s agitation at whatever Red Hot Chili Pepper had said, you rushed to his side with a speed rivaling light, Josuke and his remaining companions marveled at your skill. Jotaro finally had one of his doubts cleared, as you rushed to his side and tried to convince him to think rationally, he yanked his arm off of your hold and decided to-- yeah, attack him, exactly what you told him not to do. You tried to get in with him, trying to fight off Red Hot Chilli Pepper as well, though, you were held back by Jotaro himself before you could run. Why did he? You can’t have another person die in your sight, although when you broke free from his grasp, Okuyasu had been defeated. Your eyes widened in horror at his discarded arm on the grass. However, when Josuke brought him back with his stand, you rushed over to him and checked his wellbeing. Telling him to concentrate on his breathing, with worried eyes glancing at every part of his body for any telltale signs of injury. He profusely assured you that he was okay, and, begrudgingly, you let go of him. Filling with charisma once again, you motivated the team with your contagious enthusiasm. Jotaro had to hide a small smile creeping in, which was not missed by Josuke.
Defeating Akira was doubtfully easily, your Stand fighting against electricity created a massive shockwave, which you learned not to summon anymore, relying on your physical strength that Jotaro would have liked to see, since when described by Josuke, it was only full of onomatopoeias Jotaro barely understood due to the boy’s unwavering delight. Well, whatever. He’ll probably phone you up to help him with a Stand user he doesn’t need assistance with to defeat to see your power. Although, he didn’t see himself requesting your presence so soon when Shigechi went missing. You knew something was amiss, how easily the perpetrator got away when he was so close to Josuke and Okuyasu. A stand user, you figured out, clutching the hilt of your sword as you departed from the group to settle in your thoughts.
It was after finding out the killer left behind his buttons was when you were called. You, Jotaro, and Koichi encountered each other and followed Jotaro to the tailoring shop he was going to. You could already smell the danger and the action of attack, the store emitting a foreign and heinous aura that you were familiar with. The enemy was probably in there, and Koichi saw your troubled eyes as you became serious with your movements, anxiously flickering to you and the store. He was right, he should’ve trusted the suspicious glimmer in your vision the first time the three of you enter the store, your enthusiastic mask slipping to unravel the blaze of fury in your eyes. Unsheathing your sword, your eyes darted across the room to land on a small blue tank-like toy, as it moves towards you. Jotaro, seeing this, launched Star Platinum and repeatedly punched the device. Though, Koichi’s eyes widened upon seeing it come out unscathed. You took the lead this time, delivering a single blow to the toy as it was sent flying to the opposite side. At least it gave you some time, signaling the two men to move away. It was as if the Stand knew where you all are, the distance giving you some time to think. You rationalized and weighed down the options, using 3 of your Stand’s forms to perform an attack. Obviously, as this was proven futile, Jotaro finally snapped out of his observant stance as he pulled you back and told you about the Stand’s pathfinding. You knew about this, already, having been attracted to your sword that had been coated in fire moments ago. He reminded you two to retreat and refrain from summoning your stand, with you shouting in retaliation as he cannot do this alone.
After Jotaro was rendered unconscious due to an explosion from Sheer Heart Attack, you lit your sword as you left in the kitchen and carefully strut to Koichi. After Koichi immobilized Sheer Heart Attack, you sensed a malevolent presence in the air. Upon seeing Kira your mind blanked, any enthusiasm and eagerness faded, replaced with a grim and rancorous expression. After the fight, where you sustained injuries that are borderline critical, though, with your knowledge of sustaining injuries such as holding back the blood when it circulates, you weren’t able to pass out and landed grave hits on the man, yet it seems he got away even with it. You learn not to use your sword upon fighting him, he was able to touch your sword twice, and those two blows injured you greatly, yet not as much as he expected. So, he ran. You were quickly found by Okuyasu and Josuke due to Koichi’s frantic calls on the telephone, seeing your bloodied and bruised body cradling Jotaro’s as you searched for any injuries, and ripping some parts of your clothing to ease the bleeding. You were thankful to see the two boys, Josuke, rushing to your side and healing you with efficiency. Obviously, you stood up and a smile was back on your face. One out of relief and of newfound determination. It was no secret that Jotaro and the others held some sort of fondness for you, seeing you as your role model despite being significant in the fight.
Looking for Kira was no easy feat, especially being targeted by his 3rd bomb, Bites The Dust. You were with Rohan, Jotaro, and Koichi when you heard a large explosion from the house to your left. Leaving without warning, you sensed a presence and sped up, moving at the speed of light that even Jotaro couldn’t decipher your exact location. All you left was a bygone gust of wind and dirt on the pavement. He doesn’t understand your physical prowess, yet he respects you immensely for it. And after the commotion, before the ambulance struck Kira, you took the initiative to behead him whilst performing your ninth form, something the public, without a stand, cannot see nor comprehend the speed you performed it with. They thought they saw a supernova in front of their eyes, making you smile brightly despite the public execution you did seconds ago.
After the whole fiasco, was when Jotaro finally acknowledges his feelings for you. An eccentric person, although loud, brash, and amiable, he came to terms with the fondness for this disposition you sprayed out. Throughout the entire Morioh trip, which he grew to treasure as he met you, he felt such emotions he could never voice out to anyone that is not you. His daughter teases him for it, saying that you are such an admirable person, and you responded with a chortle that she returned. Expectantly, you accepted, your enthusiastic exterior slipping to reveal a genuine, soft look in your eyes as you took his hand. Feelings never came to him so easily, more so understanding them, yet you do it unbelievably well. You never minded his presence lacking in the household, having a busy job as well, though you make time for Jolyne and Jotaro followed after you, too, though you grew to love your family all the same. With such love in your heart, Jotaro’s daughter seemed to cling to you the moment Jotaro introduced her to you. It was an undoubtedly refreshing sight, the light of his life of strong willpower and a convivial character was enough to make the man’s cold heart melt with such heat you bring to his cheeks. You were an abundant character consisting of such caring characteristics for him, flaws and all, and he was more than enough for you. Also, do introduce Jolyne to your younger brother, once they met and you two had to physically pull them away from each other, Jolyne talked about how cool his uncle is, and your heart swelled seeing her statements about your brother. Though, do not expect your group not to tease you about this. Once Jotaro found out, he would be scoffing.

End Of Time | Jotaro x AFAB! Reader
Tumblr media
words: 1.4k
She stared out the plane’s window, her mind on the conversation she had with him a weeks ago and the conversation she had with speed wagon foundation; a day ago. ‘Daughter? You have a daughter?’ She asked, blinking back a couple of tears. Why was she just learning about this? He said nothing, but just nodded at her remark.
The two have known each other since highschool, being in an on again and off again relationship with each other. They attended the same college and had similar interests in science. With him being a marine biologist and her being a chemist. She also possessed a stand; which allowed her to accompany Jotaro on his journey to defeat Dio and save his mother from his tyranny.
‘Her name’s Jolyne and I have to protect her; a disciple of Dio is roaming the prison she’s in and im sure he’ll be after quite soon’ Her emotions quickly changed once she heard that vampire’s name. The man that once tormented the Joestar lineage is at it once again; even from the grave.
‘Let me come with. You know—‘
‘No. I need you to stay here. I don’t know how strong this guy is. I can’t have you getting hurt as well’ She wanted to fight him on that but he had that look in his eyes, and she knew not to pester him any more. That was the last conversation she had with him, and the last time she saw him. As the two days went by, she began to worry more and then the call she got from the speedwagon foundation didn’t make her feel better. So, here she was on the next flight to Florida to save the person she loved dearly and his daughter.
She still couldn’t believe he had one and when did this happen? Was it the year they had broken up? Although she was initially upset, she couldn’t blame him for hiding her identity from the world, he wasn’t the only one hiding secrets…
Meanwhile, Jotaro had finally made it to Florida and just in the nick of time to save his daughter from bullets that was just about to hit her. Pucci was shocked to see he had arrived, but this only intensified the fight. The priest had gained a new power up and the group of stand users couldn’t find him, and to top it all of something was wrong with the time; everything was moving faster than normal, including Pucci himself.
They were now trapped on a rooftop, trying to search for him. Using star platinum’s the world, Jotaro tried his best to find him and plan his next move during the time stop. However, his ace in the hole didn’t work for long and now they couldn’t find him.
‘Where the hell is he?!’ Jolyne called out, trying to sense him. Out of the corner of her eye she spotted him, but there was something off about him.
‘What the hell is he doing? Emporia do you have binoculars?’ The little boy in baseball attire nodded and reached into his stomach to pull out a pair of jet black binoculars, handing it Jolyne. Her green eyes peered into it, looking at the enemy stand user, where she was able to see the priest. A gasped escaped her green lips, ‘What the hell? It looks like he’s about to cough up a lung?’ She began to pass around the binoculars so everyone can see, and when they got back to emporio; his eyes widened.
‘I’ve seen this before….I’ve read about it in some book!’ The green haired woman took a look at him, urging the boy to continue. Pulling out the book he flipped a couple of pages before looking at the priest again. ‘From how his body’s reacting, he looks like he has ozone poisoning! But, how?!’ Jotaro’s eyes widened to a degree before he sensed a familiar presence. ‘I know how. You can stop hiding yourself. I know you’re here’
On queue, the woman had appeared; a smoke screen had been shielding her. Everyone, but Jotaro, stood guard. Not trusting the woman, until Jotaro reassured them she’s an ally. ‘Don’t worry guys, she’s not an enemy. She knows about everything including Dio’ He looked at her, she was wearing a goofy grin; ignoring his anger. ‘I told you not to come!’
‘When do I ever listen to you, Kujo?’
‘Old man, who is this woman..?’ Jolyne asked, looking at her father and the woman who were having a stare off. Before he could answer the woman turned to Jolyne, a smile on her face. ‘You must Jolyne! You must get your looks from your mother’ She joked, earning a chuckle from the nineteen year old. The two began to make jokes about Jotaro, which caused a vein to pop on his forehead.
‘I don’t mean to cut the reunion short, but we have bigger fish to fry here’ Anasui spoke, pointing at the priest; who was over coming the toxic gas. They all got serious, looking at the man who was just on the verge of death. ‘Whatever you did, you have to do it again, he’s aiming to kill me, but when that happens Mr. Jotaro; you have to take that moment and kill his ass!’ Anasui continued; speaking to both Y/N and Jotaro.
Her stand, Thriller, controls matter. Be it solid, liquid or gas; she can control and create it. But, in order to create them; she has to know the contents of it. That’s why she spent so many years in college. ‘It’s no use! We have to move, that jack ass is heading towards us!’
Thanks to Emporio, they were only able to escape from him momentarily; as they launched themselves to the marshes not too far away. ‘You okay?’ Jotaro asked her, after she landed on a small piece of rock, that hit her stomach. She croaked out a small yeah, but she wasn’t sure. Holding her stomach, she had hoped the tiny human growing inside of her was okay. She took his hand and got up. Anasui was impaled and Jotaro immediately stopped time, ‘Knives? Just like Dio. Dammit’
He quickly moved Jolyne out the way, but just as his five seconds was up, he noticed the blood that was seeping out of Y/N’s stomach. With a wound like that, she wouldn’t make it. ‘The time is nigh! The joestar blood line ends here’ Pucci spoke, sending some attacks to the opposing stand users, but he quickly stopped, feeling like he was being stabbed from the inside. The priest fell to the waters underneath him, which hardened; causing his knees to be stuck in ice.
‘What the—‘ She slowly approached him, still holding her stomach. ‘Doesn’t it feel like 1000 knives stabbing you from the inside? I bet you can hardly breathe, the loss of blood flow leaves you immobile, which makes it easier to kill you! Do it now Jotaro!’ She screamed, which allowed the time stop stand user to pummel the priest. She had hardened his blood from the inside, thanks to the open wounds he received. However, the priest had another trick up his sleeve, he accelerated time once more and flashed away; injuring Jotaro in the process
It was clear they weren’t going to win this fight, with a gravely injured Ermes, Anasui and Jotaro on the brink of death; this fight only had one ending. And this time the enemy stand user was winning. Using her stand power, the woman hardened the blood that was leaking from her open stomach, before limping her way to Jotaro who was collapsed in the ocean.
Kneeling down next to him, she turned him over and let out a gasp once she seen the huge wound he received. He had a huge split in his face; and the way she was weak right now; she wasn’t able to use her stand power to temporarily heal him while she was healing herself. Tears poured out her eyes as she began to panic, the person she loved was now dying right before her and she didn’t know what to do.
‘Please, don’t leave me. Don’t leave me here; don’t die. I love you, I love you…!’ She cried out, she was scared. She didn’t want him to die, she didn’t want to die either. She grabbed his hand that was turning colder by the second and placed it on her stomach, ‘that’s us right there. That’s our baby! I used my stand and solidified the fluid around them, but that’s ours! Don’t die! Save Jolyne, save us! Please don’t leave me….’
Being that she was too weak and lost a lot of blood, her heart was no longer receiving blood, causing her to collapse on top of her dead lover. Everyone had died that day; but in another universe all of them had lived all thanks to Emporio.

stronger together.
synopsis: you’re withdrawing from everything suddenly. jotaro, in love with you and one of your two best friends, is worried and decides to check up on you
tw: bullying (physical, swears, and emotional), threats *implied sa threat from bully to jotaro*, they/them pronouns used (gender of reader not decided though), a suggestive comment
Tumblr media
Jotaro walks down the stairs alongside Kakyoin while listening to the male explain his latest video game. He nods to indicate he’s listening, occasionally giving his own opinions.
“The graphics are stunning!” as he begins to compliment the fluidity of the character’s movements the usual group of girls surround the males on their way down the steps.
“Jotaro!” One girl calls out while pitching her voice higher. “Are you free today? I have something to show you!” Her boldness causes the other girls to glare, one attempting to push her down the steps but she’s a moment too late when the group reaches the end of them. “Jotaro?” She drags out the “o”, annoying him to no end.
Scowling, he simply says “no.” Jotaro begins to walk away from his crowd of fans, Kakyoin happily following him because it’s an awkward position to be in.
“But why Jotaro? Aren’t I cute?” Her question is poorly timed because you make your appearance, already waiting outside for you two best friends.
“Hey Jojo and Kak!” You wave to them, both males heading over to you with haste. Your smile enrages Jotaro’s posse, causing them to scoff and roll their eyes at your appearance. “How are you liking your new game Kak? And Jojo! Still good for the aquarium today after school too? I know Kak is!” Your nonchalant questions make the nosy girls just a bit away from you three faces heat up in rage, crossing their arms and gritting their teeth.
“Whore.” One girl mutters under her breath, as another adds, “they're such a slut for wanting both of them.”
You’re the closest to them, just in range to hear their bitter comments. Literally shaking your head in hopes of removing those thoughts, you put your attention back on your favorite boys.
“I’m still available.” Jotaro answers first with a serious face. “We can go now, if you want.” He tilts his hat down, calmly adjusting it. Little did you know it was because his face felt hotter and he wasn’t ready for you to know yet.
Kakyoin grins at his stoic friend, knowing full and well that he’s been in love with you. “I’m actually busy today. I spent all last night gaming, so it’s time to cram before my tests.” You simply nod, entirely understanding. “So looks like you’ll be going alone together!” Kakyoin grins at Jotaro again, prompting him to raise Star Platinum to him although you can’t see the stands you can observe the teasing ensuing.
But you think nothing of it, so you just say; “Don’t be like that Jojo! It’ll be fun!” You give him your trademark smile, making him readjust his hat for a second time. Before Jotaro can say anything Kakyoin takes the chance to further fluster his concrete friend.
“Don’t worry, I don’t think that’ll be an issue.”
“Oh, good!” You say with a smile as the bell rings. “Oh! I have a test, I’ll see you two at lunch!” With that you run off in the direction of your class, worried you’ll be late if you just walk.
“I’m going to kill you.” Jotaro glares at Kakyoin without actually meaning his threat. Probably.
Kakyoin only chuckles, giving him a hardy pat on the back with full confidence. “You’ll thank me later.”
☆☆☆ ☆☆☆ ☆☆☆
Your brain feels like mush at how difficult your test was, your body desperate for food in order to get some of that brain power back. As you go into the lines to get your food you see the girls from this morning and immediately look the other way. You weren’t scared - you just didn’t want to deal with their aspersions. Nothing they said was creative but it was all beginning to add up. You wished that you weren’t punished for who you hung out with but you know that this is just what high school is.
Lost in your thoughts, you don’t realize when the group migrates closer to you. When you move forward in line you bump into the meanest of the bunch, a girl with obviously artificial curls. She smirks before purposely spilling her smoothie on you, the red liquid getting all over your uniform top. Your mouth opens in silent shock, absolutely shocked she’d do something like this until you think about this morning and the days prior. Pressing your lips in a fine line as you walk away, you’re heading to the bathrooms when you see Kakyoin and Jotaro enter the area from the side.
Kakyoin is the first to notice the red dripping down your now red shirt. “What happened?” His voice is a bit panicked, anxious that you fell or worse that someone did this to you.
“I bumped into someone, my bad haha.” You force a laugh to try and convince them that Jotaro’s self appointed protection squad didn’t do this to you. “Just so clumsy!” Hurrying to push the door of the bathroom open you disappear into the room, a loud thud intensifying your departure.
“Do you think that’s really what happened?” Kakyoin asked with a twinge of disbelief in your explanation but not going to adamantly say you were lying.
“I think they’re leaving something out.”
A moment later you come out to see them both waiting for you, a subtle smile making an appearance on your face at that. Your shirt is stained past repair, the wet material sticking to your skin uncomfortably. You pull at it, trying to get the fabric to stiffen in a way it won’t be right up against your midriff.
“Here.” Jotaro says in his classic monotone while offering you his jacket. You seem to just blink at him which makes him readjust his hat for what, the third time now he wonders? Still he looks at your expression, noticing how your smile widens before you apologize.
“I’m sorry I wasn’t being careful. I know you don't really like to take off your jacket.” He appreciates your care when you grab it, careful to not let it drag against the cafeteria’s floor. It engulfs you, the chains feeling heavy yet comforting on your shoulders. He stares at you with a reddening face and a busy mind, just thinking of how precious you look in his clothing. The thought of you wearing his hat - you being so bold to take it off his head while you hug - makes his face grow so hot he’s scared you’ll see how much he really cares about you. He turns away while you retreat to the bathroom to take off your soiled shirt and pin up the jacket.
“Smooth!” Kakyoin lightly elbows his blushing friend casually prompting him to respond with an elbow nudge that makes his body rock but he still laughs because he knows Jotaro isn’t actually mad at his meddling. “I think they like you.” His voice is a little playful while he teases Jotaro, but he knows Kakyoin is serious behind his initial tone.
You come out with enough buttons latched together to hide your undershirt but still reveal your uniform bottom. Jotaro stares at you with a serious face, cheeks less red from getting a moment to curb his surprisingly romantic thoughts at giving you his jacket. Before he can get caught up in his head again and imagine you reciprocating his feelings you’re all heading to your normal, secluded lunch spot.
“I brought some of my mom’s cooking for you.” Jotaro says to you to get a clap of your hands in excitement and Kakyoin complains that he never offers him any of her cooking. A road you and Jotaro have gone on before is revisited as you make fun of Kakyoin for liking older women a bit too much as your nerves settle down from that targeted encounter in the line.
As you walk through the doors of the cafeteria you are entirely unaware of the seething girl sitting in the cafeteria already plotting how to “get even” with you for “exploiting” Jotaro’s kindness.
 ☆☆☆☆☆☆ ☆☆☆
You’re putting all of your books back into your bag once the bell rings, every other student seems to rush out while you’re still trying to fit your biggest notebook back into your main pocket. Frustrated, you have to dump everything out to try and rearrange it. Groaning as you do so, your things slide off the desk and under the next desk. Bending down to pick it up, you hear a voice you don’t quite recognize.
“So this is your class.” They say with a click of their tongue. “Slut. On your knees.”
At the insult you immediately connect the dots as to who it is, immediately standing up with your folders in your hand to be greeted with those ridiculous fake curls of hers.
“What are you doing here?” You’re so done with her at this point. Still in Jotaro’s jacket, she grits her teeth before knocking your folders out of your hands.
“Stay away from Jotaro you bitch!” She yells it with venom in her voice and you can practically feel the toxicity of her tone fly onto your skin with her spit. “I don’t know why you think he even likes you! You’re just some bitch who’s friends with his best friend. He wouldn’t even talk to you if that boy with cherry earrings didn’t tolerate you.”
You know her words aren’t true but they amplify the anxiety already residing in your mind. Still you shake your head, not going to believe her spiteful words.
“What is your problem? Why can’t I be friends with Jojo and Kak? Not everyone has ulterior motives like you.” You decide to be bold as anger settles into your heart. You’re tired of her disrespecting Jotaro, always pushing herself onto him and trying to get him to love her like accosting him is the way to do it. “Jotaro doesn’t love you. Can you just be decent and back off?” You hate how pleading that last bit sounded, but you really just want her to leave your friend alone because you know he hates the constant touching, pestering, and fawning.
“Bitch!” She immediately slaps you across the face, watching your head tilt with the force put into her strike. She grins at that, taking a moment to seemingly admire the redness forming, before she slaps your face in the opposite direction. “Useless whore! You think I’d listen to your bullshit? You’re just jealous! I’ll kill you!”  Her hand continues to beat your head around, your body going limp with the threats of her hurting you. Despite the sheer rage in her voice you don’t budge until she says, “You stay away from him or I’ll force you both to realize he loves me!”
The implications of that has your blood boiling, frantic about what that means she’ll do to Jotaro. You grab her hand as she leans to slap you again, squeezing it harshly. “You leave him the Hell alone.” You glare at her with a look even more intimidating than Jotaro’s classic side eye he’s always giving her. Must be the jacket adding the extra finesse to your potent frustration.
“That’s my line.” Her voice isn’t steady as she speaks because her hand is beginning to burn with the pressure you’re applying. “Stop hanging out with him or I’ll take something he’ll never get back. And it’ll all be your fault.” The extra emphasis on “all” makes your eyes widen in despair. Additionally, the color drains from your face. Utter horror heats your veins as you thump her hand against the desk with enough force to make her cry from the pain, your own hand stinging from your fingernails digging into your skin. But you don’t even feel it as you fret about her doing such a thing to Jotaro - barely considering the fact that Jotaro is plenty capable of protecting himself. Still your panic over your best friend, who you do know you love, outweighs that logical reassurance.
“Fine.” You submit with an angry bite of your lip. You tear at the flesh, blood oozing from the opening.
“Good bitch.” She says for no other reason than to get one last dig in, bumping against your shoulder on her way out the door.
You shove all your things into your bag, not caring about the ripped pages and your now split folder as you race home - not shooting Jotaro a text immediately.
☆☆☆☆☆☆ ☆☆☆
“Have they talked to you at all?” Kakyoin only shakes his head as he reads his comic. “They haven’t been at school for days. That’s not like them.”
“Yeah, it’s like you.” The male responds in an attempt to lighten the atmosphere a bit. It doesn’t work as Jotaro huffs. He’s silent as he thinks, growing nervous about if you’re okay. Jotaro, who’s never this on guard and anxious, decides it’s time to get a concrete answer. Regardless of if he likes the outcome or not.
“I’m going to see them.” Jotaro stands up, clear intent in his stance as he strides to put on his shoes located by the door of his friend’s room. “I need to make sure they’re okay.”
Kakyoin pauses his game, smiling softly. “You’re such a romantic.”
“Shut the hell up.” Jotaro closes the door, leaving Kakyoin’s room and ultimately his house. He knows the way to your place from here since it wouldn’t be the first time he’s walked from Kakyoin’s to your house.
His quick walk turns into a full sprint as he rushes to get to you - terrified you won’t be okay and that’s why you didn’t say why you stood him up when you made plans for the aquarium. He can’t handle the possible reality you’re out of his life - that you’re done with him. He knows he’s abrasive and can be rude but he cares about you and he’ll be damned if you don’t know it by the time he leaves your house tonight.
His heavy knock alerts your guardian, the adult no stranger to seeing his face. They’re surprised by his lack of jacket and hair spilling from the confines of his hat, forehead shiny with a thin layer of sweat.
“Oh Jotaro! Did you come to get your jacket? [Name] is upstairs, they’ve been rejecting all companies lately however,” Jotaro nods and heads in, cutting that conversation short. Luckily your guardian isn’t upset about his somewhat rude actions, simply accepting that this is your best friend’s worries making him impatient.
Jotaro knocks twice on your door, hearing a groan from you through the door. He doesn’t grow annoyed since he knows you have no idea it’s him. It’s a few minutes before you unlock the door despite him seeing the doorknob jostle. It’s like you’re contemplating with paranoia clouding your mind. Why are you being overly cautious? You finally open the door, sure to be slow, just enough to see Jotaro’s ocean eyes beckon you. Immediately you try to shut the door but he’s quick to put his foot in the gap.
“Can I come in?” He asks without the fear in his chest being evident. “You’ve been gone.” That’s Jotaro’s equivalent to an “I miss you” but those words clog his throat.
You stare at his shoe, widening the gap so his foot isn’t crushed. “I,” Your voice is swallowed in the memory of his admirer’s threat. “I can’t.” Tears form in your eyes but you shake your head in an attempt to dismiss them. You can’t seem to shake anything off. “This is for your own good. I’m sorry.” You move to shut the door but something pushes hard enough against the door that you can’t shut it. The door flies open, Jotaro practically being invited in.
“What’s wrong?” He’s begun his questions as soon as the door locks shut. “This isn’t like you.” You’re sitting back on your bed, body wrapped in a weighted blanket, with eyes focused on his shoes again. “I care about you [Name]. Did someone do something to you?” His blood is already preheating in case there’s someone he needs to pummel for hurting you.
“No, no one did a-anything,” You lie with shaky breathing and he immediately sees through it and gives you a look to make sure you know that won’t fly.
He motions to the empty space on your bed to ask if he can sit down. You nod, feeling the bed sink when he takes a seat. “I care about you. A lot. Let me help… please.” His voice is marginally softer than you’ve ever heard it before, your face heating and tears no longer held at bay.
“Someone thre-at-ened to hurt you if-if I didn’t,” it’s hard to stop from sobbing when the tears stop. Jotaro wraps an arm around you in an act of boldness and compassion. He rests it lightly on your shoulder so he could easily back off if you’re uncomfortable, but you lean into his touch and begin to cry into his chest. “Stop talking - hanging out - everything with you a-and I can’t be the reason you get hurt.” There’s a moment of silence as you deeply inhale, anxiety you’ve kept on the back burner ravishing your mind and body. “I-I love you. I-I don’t want you to ever hurt, I don’t want her to-to,” You stop talking as your tears stream in rivers. “She can’t take that from you!” Head pressed into his chest, you yell, all the frustration of being manipulated and as a result hurting him crushing you. “I’m sorry I hurt you, I’m so sorry-”
“Don’t apologize.” Jotaro interrupts you with a pat to your head. It’s so unlike him but the touch calms your racing mind before you could repeat sorry like a mantra. “It’s that bitch I’m mad at.” His eyes narrow at the thought of her reducing you, the beacon of joy in his life, to this crying, shivering state. “I love you [Name], that’s part of why I’m so pissed off at her right now.” He cracks his knuckles, tension building in his body as he approaches boiling. Looking at your bruised lip and slightly swollen face makes him angrier at what she’s done to you, since he knows you can protect yourself too.
You’re weak when it comes to him. And he’s weak when it comes to you. So you’ll be stronger together.
“Jojo,” He got off the bed while captivated by his thoughts of revenge, getting preoccupied with dealing with the root of this weed. “Can you stay with me for now?” Your voice sounds so sad as you wipe away your tears since they’re coming to a stop. “I’m sorry for doing this to you. You didn’t deserve to be left in the blue-”
“Make it up to me with an aquarium date.” His face is a pink tint as he says that while yours is entirely red.
“Deal.” You say immediately with a giggle that makes Jotaro’s heart race. He’s back in the moment of you and him right now, sliding off his shoes and getting into bed with your permission. He sits down, his arms wrapped around you while you make up for lost time. You grab his hat, placing it on your head backwards so the brim doesn’t poke him. “Is this okay?” You ask in reference to stealing his hat.
“It’s… preferred.” Jotaro admits stoically despite his face saying he’s flustered by your action. “I still plan on getting even. At least.” He changes the topic and you sigh, slowly nodding after.
“I think it’s only right.” You move your head into his warm chest, hat still backwards to prevent it getting misshapen. “She really isn’t a good person.”
“Not even that. She hurt the wrong person.” He says it with all seriousness, holding you gently.
“I love you so, so much Jotaro.” You confess again while looking up into his soothing eyes.
“We’ll deal with revenge later. Together. I want to be held right now.” You admit with a chuckle and he nods, happy to do whatever you need after having to deal with his insane fans for so long.
He has the biggest smile you’ve ever seen on his face as he says, “I love you” back while holding you against his chest, thankful you’re no longer alone in what you’re going through.
☆☆☆ Extra ☆☆☆
You’ve invited Jotaro to stay the night and he agreed after notifying Holly and by now you’ve fallen asleep. Not having discussed where he’d sleep, he’s situated himself on the bean bag you read your comics and play games in. His legs hang out a ridiculous amount but with you asleep he’s not worried about how silly he looks - he never normally is. As he checks his phone a message from Kakyoin catches his attention.
so… howd it go :)

CRYING CAUSE WHAT IF-
FT. Jotaro Kujo
WARNINGS: angsty fluff. Please tell me you see the vision too and that I’m not just going crazy.
Tumblr media
“Jotaro… do you think things will be like this forever?” You ask as your back hits the grass, your eyes focused on the beautiful stars of the night sky above you.
It’s always been like this.
It’s always been you and him, against the world.
He scoffed, pulling out a cigarette and lighting it before answering you. “That’s a dumb question.” Though, he couldn’t help but wonder the same.
“I know,” your voice came out as strained, and you had to turn your head away from his so that you could hide your quivering lip. “But I just don’t know what I’d do with myself if things changed…”
You were met with silence, and it only worsened your grief. Your high school years weren’t supposed to be like this. You were supposed to go off and discover who you wanted to become in life, and to grow as a person. You were supposed to enjoy what little youth you had left, not have it torn away from you so quickly.
Jotaro wanted to tell you that it would stay the same. He wanted to say that he would always be here for you, but he’d be lying.
After all, the both of you had totally different plans for yourselves after graduation.
He was supposed to go to university and you were going to travel. You had tried to convince him to come with you, to see the world in all its glory, but he refused.
If he had gone, he never would have come back, and he couldn’t do that to his mother.
“Yeah. We’ll be stuck together for a long while.”
Tumblr media
Finally, after all your time going abroad, you’ve come back home to the place you grew up.
You’re in your forties now, and aren’t exactly as young as you once were, but you haven’t changed a bit since you left. Many people had recognized you, and had smiled when you walked past them on the street.
But it just didn’t feel right.
Actually, you felt more alone than you typically did while on your journeys.
Was it because you had just passed your former high school? Or was it that every man you passed reminded you of Jotaro and your time in Egypt?
Either way, something felt off.
“Y/n?”
You spun around as quickly as possible, your eyes wide in anticipation as you met the man that had consumed your every thought since you left.
“Jotaro.” You grinned, and your gaze moved to the young woman that stood behind him, awkwardly looking away from you. Ah. So he did get married after all. “It’s good to see you again.”
Wow this was awkward.
“We should meet up later, or something,” he avoided your gaze, which you found to be strange. “A-Actually- can you come over?”
Did he just stutter??
The woman behind him snickered and he rolled his eyes. “What I mean is that you and I have a lot of catching up to do,” he paused, his eyes finally meeting yours in a way that made your heart melt. “And… I’d like for things to be how they were. If you’re alright with that, of course.”
“Jotaro Kujo,” you smiled brightly, barely able to contain your tears of joy. “I’ve been waiting years to hear you say those words.”

Jotaro travel in time with Casey
Oh, dude. This was a journey. Now, I know this is hella late. But I had a lot of ideas for this one. Wasn't even able of draw all of them or even do a proper lineart for all of it.
Here you go! Some Jotaro form the future content for your soul.
Tumblr media
Data: older than Casey, his chosen weapon is a Naginata. His favorite dessert is the leaf cake Mikey used to made for his birthday. A great engineer; he was once the right hand of Donatello. He aimed to be a warrior alchemist like Draxum and make his family proud.
Now some comics:

Out of Touch by Hall & Oates
part 1, part 2, part 3
Jotaro Kujo x Ex-wife!Reader
You and Jotaro meet for the first time in six years. When you try to dodge the encounter, he convinces you to sit and drink, and have a nice talk.
warnings: alcoholic consumption
Spring of 2003, Tampa, Florida
“Mom~”
You turned on your side, hoping for another five minutes of sleep.
“Mom~”
You ignored Jolyne for another second or two. The girl quieted down for a second and you thought your prayers had been answered and she had retreated from your room. Just as you approached the edge of unconsciousness, a heavy form jumped onto your stomach and woke you.
“There you are mom!” Jolyne, your strong willed eleven-year-old said.
“Hi, Jojo,” you smiled weakly, a bit winded from her jumping on top of you.
“I’m hungry,” she declared.
You looked over at your bedside table where the clock laid. 7:14 am. So much for sleeping in on a Sunday.
“Okay,” you took a second to rub the sleep out of your eyes. “I’m up, I’m up.”
You shooed her off you so you could climb out of bed and make your way to the kitchen, her quickly running past you.
“Can we have pancakes? Ooo what about waffles though! Can we have both?!”
You laughed at her indecisiveness. “How about something a little healthier?”
“But mom,” she groaned.
“Hey! We gotta keep those muscles strong! You can’t do your best if you don’t eat well,” you reminded her.
When she was eight, Jolyne had come home from elementary school whining about how all the other girls in her class played softball and she wanted to too. You were hesitant at first, telling her that just because everyone else is doing something, doesn’t mean she has to do it. After a few weeks insisting she should be allowed to play, you finally agreed. Jolyne had always been a rambunctious and active kid, so you reasoned that sports would be a good outlet for her to let out that energy. After she had a few recurring disciplinary incidents, softball was sounding even better.
To your satisfaction though, after most of the girls quit, Jolyne kept going. After one season, you became a full fledged softball mom, wanting to constantly show up to support Jolyne. She was currently in her third season on her travel team.
The only gripe you had about softball was that it never dwindled her energy, in fact, she seemed more lively. Considering she was up this early the day after she had an all day tournament, you could only sigh. At least she wasn’t getting into as much trouble.
A knock pulled you from your thoughts. “Jojo, can you go get the door?”
“On it mom!” she yelled over her shoulder. A few seconds later and you heard the familiar squeal Jolyne let out whenever your current boyfriend, Anthony, arrived. He liked to stop by in the mornings often.
“Oh shit,” you muttered, hurrying to grab the leftover wine bottle and glass you left out from last night. You did a quick breath test and attempted to fix your flyaways as Anthony came into the kitchen.
“Hey pretty lady,” he said, swooping in to steal a kiss.
“Gross!”
You laughed at Jolyne’s antics. “I was just getting ready to start breakfast, you hungry?”
“I would love to but I’ve got to get to the firehouse, lots of paperwork to do. I just wanted to stop by and say hi.”
You hummed as Anthony turned around to start play fighting with Jolyne. You turned back to contemplate what to cook. The longer you looked at the contents of the fridge and pantry, the better pancakes sounded. Looking over at Jolyne’s bright smile, you gave in and reached for the pancake mix. While you prepared the batter, you sent Jolyne and Anthony to run outside and retrieve yesterday’s mail. Anthony carried her outside on his back.
Alone, your thoughts wandered over your two year relationship. Anthony was a very attractive man: tall, dark, and extremely handsome. He worked as a fireman, which matched his heart of gold he seemed to have. You two had met when you and Jolyne moved from northern Florida to Tampa, him introducing himself at the bar your new neighbors had offered to take you to. After just sitting around and getting to know the local gossip, you had gotten up to order a drink from the bar. When some asshole bumped into you and spilled your drink all over the counter, Anthony, who had been friends with the culprit, offered to buy you a new one.
Although back then it had been four years since you and Jolyne’s father, Jotaro, divorced, you were hesitant to accept Anthony’s invite to go out for coffee. After your close neighbor had incessantly annoyed you about it, she eventually convinced you to go out with him and the rest was history. Completely ignorant to the world of stands and evil, he was a nice place to take sanctuary in.
“Mom! You got an important letter from your job!”
“Hm?”
You turned back from pouring the batter into the pan to see Jolyne handing you a letter while still hanging from Anthony’s back. The letter was addressed to Y/n L/n from the Speedwagon Foundation. Worried about the contents, you tore it open and began reading.
“Well, what does it say?” Anthony asked.
You sighed a breath of relief. “They’re giving me an award for my recent research publication.”
“Woah, no way! Congrats babe!”
Anthony kissed your temple while you let the growing anxiety fade away. You honestly had been expecting it to be a letter detailing a new stand user issue. While you did work in the Speedwagon Foundation’s research sector, they also had you hunt down concerning stand users. Having been doing so since you were seventeen and went on the 50 day journey to Egypt.
“When are they giving it to you?”
“This Saturday, 7pm.”
“It’s a date then!”
**********
“Thank you so much for watching her. It’s not often I get invited to 21+ venues.”
“It’s no problem, y/n, really! We love Jolyne like one of our own.”
Your neighbors, the Williams’, bless their hearts, were about the only family that you had ever trusted to watch Jolyne. Being a stand user as well as working in a dangerous research field, you had a penchant for attracting all sorts of evil. When you gave birth to Jolyne, there had been complications with the delivery and you ended up having to be rushed to a nearby emergency room instead of going to the Speedwagon Foundation like you planned. Everything was going well until Jotaro ended up facing off with a stand user impersonating a night shift nurse. He ended up nearly beating the woman to death, and ever since that day, you had been living life constantly looking over your shoulder for Jolyne’s sake.
After divorcing and moving to a new area, you were hesitant to let then five year old Jolyne play with other children or go to their houses. After thoroughly observing and testing your neighbors by running background checks and consistently bringing out your stand at random intervals to see who would look, you concluded that the Williams’ were not stand users and that their daughter did just want to be friends with Jolyne. It worked out in your case because you soon had friends to rely on, and could find a babysitter with ease.
Now getting ready for the banquet tonight, you stood in front of the mirror doing your makeup just how you liked it. While adding finishing touches, your cell started ringing and Anthony’s contact ID popped up.
“Hey babe.”
“Hey, y/n! How are you beautiful?”
“I’m good, just getting ready for the ceremony.”
“That’s great… Hey listen babe, I don’t have much time to talk but I can’t come tonight. I’m sorry for the late notice but one of the guys’ wife is having their kid and he needed someone to take his shift. It’s gonna be overnight so I won’t get off until about 8am.”
You frowned as you looked down at your nails. You already didn’t want to be heading out anyway for a silly award, but now that Anthony wasn’t coming, the desire to stay home was sounding really appealing.
“Y/n?”
“Hey sorry, spaced out.”
“Are you mad?”
“No, no. Don’t even worry about it. I’m just gonna go, get the award, and come home. I’m not feeling staying out tonight.”
“Alright, well stay safe. Have fun and call a cab if you drink anything.”
“Okay, dad,” you teased him.
He laughed. “I love you.”
“Love you too.”
The phone beeped when you hung up.
**********
“Right here is fine, thank you.”
You handed the cab driver some money before shouldering your purse. The foundation had rented a banquet hall for the ceremony. Along with you and your research team, a few other people were also receiving awards tonight. Consequently, the crowd was extremely large as people from all over the company (lots non-affiliated with the stand research division) were gathered for the big event. Dinner would be served at commencement, then some words from the current CEO, awards next, and finally happy hour. You planned to slink away immediately after you got your award.
“Y/n!”
You turned to look for the source of the voice and found a few of your colleagues from your research team standing around a table right up front and center waving at you. It seems like you all were the big honorees of the evening.
“Hello, congratulations everyone.”
Lucas, a fellow from the team, came up with a waiter following him with a tray of champagne flutes. The drinks were quickly dished out.
“Congratulations to you, our fearless leader, who without you, we would have never got the funding.”
You snorted. “Well it’s easy to bust balls when I know all the higher ups. That’s one thanks I can give to my ex-husband.”
A few chuckles could be heard before the emcee asked people to take their seats. You turned around to quickly down the champagne before sending a silent plea to the waiter for another. The drinks could at least help with your nervousness.
**********
“Wow, no one told me I’d have to speak!” you nervously chuckled.
“Um, I’d like to thank my team. Everyone here did so much investigation, tests, wrote up reports. They seriously put in the overtime.”
Your eyes scanned over the large crowd watching you. Your team was the last to be awarded, so everyone was patiently waiting for you to wrap up so cocktail hour could start.
“I’d also like to thank my daughter, Jolyne. I can’t tell you how many times she made me coffee in the dead of night while I stayed up working.” That remark earned you a chuckle from the audience. You felt a little looser knowing you made them laugh. As you looked around, your eyes landed on a familiar pair of blue ones way in the back of the hall leaned against the wall, staring you down intently. You swallowed thickly, not believing it to be the last person you’d ever see here.
“Uh, thank you for the award.”
You briskly walked off stage and back to your table, already grabbing your purse and other belongings. The emcee got back up to announce the bar was once again open, and cocktail hour had begun.
“Y/n, wait!”
Lucas reached out a hand to stop you from rushing off. With a small amount of shame, you turned back to see your team staring at you rather quizzically.
“Why don’t you enjoy a couple drinks with us?”
You silently prayed for whatever entity resides above to strike you down right there. While you really wanted a drink right now, you’d rather do it alone in your house where you could wallow in the silence between sips.
“I really need to-”
“Come on, one won’t hurt!”
Lucas and the rest of the team flagged down the waiter for a round of a stronger drink this time. By some sick and twisted fate, your evening was just beginning.
**********
“You’ve got to be kidding me! You’re not even drunk yet?”
You smiled at Melina, another girl from the team, as you nursed your beer. A few rounds of shots had been dealt and the rest of the team was pretty drunk. You on the other hand, better at pacing yourself than them, were just beginning to feel the buzz. The alcohol had done well to soothe your anxiety, but the nagging feeling of being watched remained.
“I’m going to grab another drink,” you announced.
Making your way through the throngs of people, you arrived at the bar and flagged the bartender down.
“I’ll take a shot of tequila, thanks.”
“Wanna start a tab?”
“I’m paying for her,” a booming voice said as a debit card was slapped down.
The bartender quickly disappeared to run the card, and you contemplated running when you realized who was standing beside you.
Swallowing your anxiety, you refused to make eye contact with him. “You didn’t need to do that.”
“Call it a gift for your award.”
“The only gift I want from you is to leave me alone.”
Jotaro sighed next to you, leaning on the bar so he could stare down at you. You still refused to look at him.
“Don’t make this difficult, y/n.”
You snorted. “Where have I heard that line before?”
Distantly, you recalled the night he placed the divorce papers on the table and announced he would be staying at a hotel while things finalized. He had told you the exact same phrase while you ugly cried and interrogated him. The whole night was underscored by Jolyne sobbing away in her room.
The bartender arrived with the shot and set it down. You quickly picked it up and slammed it, setting the glass back down.
“Thanks. See you around.”
You set off to leave, but a strong arm pulled you back.
“Jotaro,” you warned.
Jotaro dropped your arm before sighing. He took off his signature hat to run his hand through his hair. “Can we just talk?”
You stared at him in surprise. On the outside, he looked like the exact same Jotaro you once knew. Donned in his signature flashy style with a face that could kill. But his eyes held an emotion that wasn’t the normal fire in his soul. For a second, when he asked you to talk, he almost looked mournful, like he was trying to save something. In all the years you had known Jotaro, he was never once concerned with matters of the heart. If anything, he would rather get pummeled over and over again than admit he had feelings. You glared at him before sitting down on the barstool.
“One drink. You have the time it takes me to drink one drink.”
**********
“What’s that supposed to be?”
“Tch. Don’t play dumb y/n.”
You looked down at the small black box Jotaro had placed in your hands. Never one for lots of words, Jotaro had just explained he had a gift for you before putting the case in your hands, a small engagement ring looking back at you.
“I’m asking you to marry me?” he said, his hands shoved in his pockets and eyes casted to the side.
“Why?” you blurted out.
Jotaro sighed and took his hat off. In a rare moment of vulnerability, he kneeled down in front of you while you sat on the bench in the park you two were at.
“Because you’re the only person in this fucked up world I could ever love; I could ever trust. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
“Jojo…” you started as you teared up.
He caught you as you practically fell into his arms while repeating yes.
**********
What was supposed to be one drink, quickly turned into one drink and a shot. Then Jotaro ordered another shot for the two of you, then one more for good measure. You weren’t stupid, it was easy to tell when someone was building up liquid courage.
The conversation first began with him asking how you and Jolyne had been. You rolled your eyes and told him ‘fine,’ stating that she was making friends and a star on her softball team. Jotaro remained amicable in spite of your passive-aggressiveness. The more he got you talking about your daughter, the more you began to open up to him. It was nice to know he still wanted to know about her, even if it was the bare minimum. As the night went on, he somehow convinced you to show him a few pictures of her from your phone and you two quickly began reminiscing on the days when she was just a toddler and barely walking around. Eventually the conversation shifted to his life and search for the stand arrows. He told you about his uncle he discovered and you gasped at the revelation that Mr. Joestar had cheated on Suzi Q, the woman who became like another grandmother to you when you and Jotaro were married. When you two came home from your first semester away at college and announced you had gotten eloped, Suzi Q and Jotaro’s mother were the only people to support you initially. It hurt to know she had been emotionally backstabbed.
“He’s lucky he’s an old man now, or else I’d seriously kick his ass for doing that to her.”
For the first time in a long time, most definitely due to the fact that he had been drinking all night with you, Jotaro laughed. And when he laughed, the whole room shook with him. It was the first time you had heard it in years and it put a loopy smile on your face while you laughed with him. When he realized how loud he was, catching the eyes of a few others, he quickly quieted down, a twinge of embarrassment and anger easily seen on his face. Upset he stopped laughing and worried he might cause an uproar (being the hothead he is), you reached over and placed a hand on his. He looked at you with surprise, before turning up his hand and offering you his palm. He smiled as you giggled at the action.
As the conversation progressed, it was clear that you were both exuberantly drunk, but it didn’t stop you from ordering one last drink.
“You sure can put them away now. You used to puke after two shots back in college.”
You snorted. “I’m well practiced now.”
You looked down at the time on your phone, not realizing it was soon approaching 11:45pm. Looking up and around, you noticed how the hall had seriously cleared out, most of the initial crowd gone.
“Shit, it’s late.”
You stood up and looked at him, a bit sad this night was coming to an end. The alcohol had opened up all the scars on your heart and reminded you of how much you missed him, but the small-voiced rational part of your brain was reminding you that things couldn’t stay like this.
“I’ve got to go. It was nice catching up, Jojo.”
Wanting to leave on a positive note, the drunken devil on your shoulder convinced you to lean in and give him a chaste kiss on the cheek. Completely normal, right?
“Y/n, wait.”
Jotaro grabbed your waist and pulled you further into him, your chests colliding. He was still sat on the barstool, so you were somewhat even in height for once, meaning your breaths mixed in the air. It was a familiar position that had both of your hearts pounding rapidly.
“I’ve missed you calling me that.”
His hand was heavy on your waist. Not wanting to lose balance in your stupor, your arm landed on his shoulder.
“You used to tell me you hated being called Jojo,” you whispered teasingly.
He huffed and looked down. “I was lying.”
He looked back up to you with eyes as deep as oceans. “I don’t want to be anything except your Jojo.”
You softly gasped and he took it as his chance to pull you in for a soft kiss. Your lips barely moved against each other, just savoring the fact that they were once again reunited.
Once upon a time, Jotaro would have handed you the world on a silver platter. It wasn’t by coincidence that you got married so young. You two were passionate, devoted, in love, but seasons change and people do as well, and Jotaro could no longer fill the superman-esque job he had been born into. At this point, it had been six years since you two divorced. Both twenty-six then and thirty-two now, he felt more like a stranger than someone you used to love. After having had so long to contemplate your relationship, you wondered how much of it would have happened if you two had never went on that journey. Seeing so much horror at seventeen scarred you two, and you definitely had a relationship built upon a trauma bond. You questioned often if it was ever love, or just comfort in shared pain.
Now though, so many years later, with your lips pressed together, there was no mistaking the spark between you two. All the misery you’d experienced in the world of stand users was flushed away at his hot touch. Even if it was just momentary, you knew he could love you the same way again.
“Let me take you home,” he breathed over your lips.
One look into his pleading blue eyes and you knew without a doubt there was no coming back from this.

Okay I had a THOUGHT about Early Bird. Or specifically, what happens after it.
Because Diavolo's still out there, still has his stand arrow/s. And Giorno either doesn't exist, or he's much older than in canon. Possibly even in a position where he can be much more effective in either combatting or infiltrating Passione.
Basically what I'm trying to say is 20-something Giorno Giovanna kinda taking Bucciarati's role as inspirational surrogate parent.
ailing you managed to rummage around my brain and pull out an idea I thought I'd forgotten about
so doing the math, Jotaro would be around 31 in Canon Part 5, and he was 6 in Early Bird Part 3. Giorno was born about 3 years before Canon Part 3, which if we have that be the same here leads to a....... shockingly only 3 year age gap
now, of course there's also room to mess around with when Part 5 happens since if you wanna get really technical, Dio wouldn't have been able to be given the arrows by Enyaba since she wouldn't have been able to buy them off Doppio at this time, but that's a little too gritty for me so let's just shuffle things around instead and just say it all works out by shoving Doppio's trip back a few years
anyways back with Giorno, an old idea I had more or less has Giorno...... with the kiddos as well. I KNOW, THIS IS TECHNICALLY A PRETTY LATE ADDITION TO THE AU BUT HEAR ME OUT:
Dio of course has Jotaro already planned out to be his successor. There's a whole multilayered scheme going on here with loads of irony and revenge and what not, and he doesn't want to give that up. It's just too perfect.
However, Dio has also learned from his mistakes and knows he shouldn't put all his eggs in one basket. After all, given the fact he doesn't have Pucci this time, he is currently without a back up plan
enter: one Haruno Shiobana
this is also where Dio's interactions with the kids get more....... complicated. Because Haruno is the spare so to speak........ but at the same time he's pretty well cared for. Arguably better than the other kids, simply because of the fact he's new. Unlike the other kids, he doesn't need to be convinced of anything. This life and Dio is all he's known, he doesn't need to worry about Haruno trying to escape since....... well, why would he try
not to mention, Haruno's too young to participate in any kind of training, and again he's the spare. He shouldn't have to be trained since if everything goes to plan, he won't be needed as a successor. Maybe he could be a powerful underling one day if his Stand is strong enough, but Jotaro is supposed to be the future leader.
so honestly....... Jotaro's the only one who ever actually interacted with Giorno. He's kept separate from most of the other kids, but of course Dio wanted his heir to meet his possible second. And their interactions were about as interesting as a 3 year old and an ill 6 year old could be.
(who knows, maybe Haruno's mother is here as well? Of course, this does raise the question of whether or not she'd take Haruno with her when she inevitably flees the mansion, but for the sake of the AU let's say she does)
but when they're free.......... this is when things get a bit fun :)
because well....... given their ages, the two honestly don't remember each other super well. Haruno hardly remembers any of his time in the mansion at all, and Jotaro's memories are foggy from time and sickness. Kakyoin might know of Haruno's existence from their talks, but admittedly the toddler's importance wasn't NEARLY as much in his mind as compared to being rescued and getting Jotaro to a hospital
by the time Kakyoin's able to tell Holly and Joseph, Haruno's long gone
Italy I'd imagine isn't too different. Sure there's of course the differing dynamics between Giorno and the team given the fact he's 28 (and now the oldest member of the team by a landslide, Abbacchio being the closest at 21) but plot wise? There's definitely the question of do we play it straight or get creative with it which........ okay let's be real we're most likely gonna go the creative route jrdbvjdrbvs
I'm definitely very interested in how Koichi little quest goes down and how Giorno will deal with his chasing, and ofc how Jotaro will fall into things here
Polnareff definitely will make things interesting, since he's of course very related to Events All Those Years Ago and would likely be aware of the fact that Dio son who went missing that fateful night
there's a lot of room to Get Funky With It :)
also I'm just. Rotating Jotaro and Giorno's childhoods. How the mansion was the best and safest Giorno had ever been, and had he grown up there he honestly probably wouldn't have had that bad of a life, at least in comparison to his mother's neglect and step-father's abuse.
but that being in stark contrast to Jotaro's own experience. How the mansion was literal hell. How he was stolen away from his life and family and very nearly died, scared and alone.
how Dio managed to be Giorno's savior and Jotaro's nightmare
how Holly's rescue was Jotaro's saving grace and the thing that shattered any hope of Giorno's good future
how these two are family, both by blood and by the man who attempted to raise and shape them

Can't Be Fulfilled

"I don't think this is going to work anymore..."
You stood near the bedroom door with your hand on your elbow, looking at your husband on the bed before staring at the other side of the room as your eyes quickly met the ground. The room was completely silent, save for the quiet sounds of your breathing and the sound of your heart beating in your chest.
"What do you mean?"
You flinched. "Just... I'm tired of this. All of this, Jotaro." You sighed, turning your head slightly toward him. "All of it...this is too much. Days, weeks, hell, even a month of you being away because of your work, it's not fair." Your voice was barely audible through your closed teeth. Tears stung your eyes, but you weren't ready to give in yet. You had been trying so hard not to break down, but it just wasn't working out. You had tried to keep it together for years but it wasn't possible anymore. You watched as Jotaro put his book aside on the nightstand right next to the bed and sat straight up, facing your direction. "It ain't fair...for me...for Jolyne." He opened his mouth to say something, but you interrupted him, continuing. "And it's not fair for you either, Jotaro." His expression grew grim after your last statement, knowing that he had failed you once again, but he wasn't expecting this.
"Y/N...don't tell me what I think you're trying to say." His tone sounded more serious than usual. "Are you saying...you want us to split up? Is that what you're getting at? Y/N...we can make this work. We always have-"
"Yes," you said quietly. "I tolerated your absence for these years but you have to understand how things are now, Jotaro. Our daughter is growing up and as the years go by I don't want her to..." You paused. "Not this again."
Jotaro didn't let you finish. "She's seven years old." You wanted to respond but Jotaro continued anyway. "I work my ass off to provide for this family. I try. You know I try, Y/N. Every day." He took a deep breath and stared at his hands resting in his lap. "To keep both of you safe. To make sure we'll be okay. And this is how you repay me? With this? This bullshit? This stupid fucking arrangement of yours?" The tears were streaming down your face silently now and you felt yourself crumple into yourself further. Jotaro finally stood up. "We've had this conversation before, Y/N."
"I'm sorry," you choked out between sobs. "I'm sorry, Jotaro, I am. But you have to listen to me." Your voice was small and soft. "You don't know how many times Jolyne asks me when you're going to be home or if you're coming back, at all. When I'm bathing her, her bus dropping her off, braiding her hair, or even reading her to sleep."
Jotaro scoffed and stepped closer to you. "She misses her daddy." You could feel his eyes bore holes into you. "Even if she doesn't talk about it." He stopped close enough to touch you but still far enough not to scare you.
"She does," Jotaro responded. "But we shouldn't split up over this Y/N I told you whenever I got the job, that I won't be here as often. I'll try to respond when I can or if I have time off. What about that can't you understand?" Jotaro's voice rose with each word, becoming louder until you were sure the neighbors would hear what he was saying. You bit your lip and averted your eyes from his gaze. The truth was, you hated when he used this argument against you. It made everything hurt. Made everything worse.
"Do NOT try to pin this on ME!" you clapped back, seeing Jotaro startled, which is rare. "Of course I understand! I'm not stupid, JoJo! If it wasn't for your goddamn job, we wouldn't be having this discussion! Talking to me as if I have no damn sense, I supported you when you were pursuing your degree!" finally turning to look him in his ocean eyes. "Can't you see our marriage is falling apart?!" Your voice broke at the end. "I make sure to text you every morning, leave a voicemail every time you don't pick up the fucking phone, even LETTERS! It makes me believe something happened to you!" you continued.
"That's because I'm WORKING! I can't be on or even near my phone every second of the hour to respond to you. What's wrong with you, woman?!" Jotaro shook his head. "You have to understand that I'm stressed out too, you know? Not only with work but make sure to at least keep in touch with you every time I have the chance to!" he shot back. You pushed him out of your way, angrily stomping out of your shared bedroom into the hallway. Jotaro followed behind you as if his life depended on it and you heard him call you an idiot. You ignored him. You kept heading towards the living room.
Jotaro came to a halt when he saw packed luggage on the ground. "What the fuck is this?" he asked.
"I'm serious, Jotaro. This isn't going to work out no more," you replied without looking at him. He grabbed you by your arm and spun you around to face him. You tried to yank your arm out of his grasp but failed, you were nowhere near his level of strength. The sharp pain of being pinned against the wall. "Let go of me-" "You got some damn nerve!" Jotaro roared out in your face, quickly shutting you up. "Y/N, we are NOT getting this divorce! We've had our ups and downs, I admit that. But we always work it out one way or another, you're NOT leaving me for another guy who you think that's ten times better than me!" "Ten times better?" you echoed incredulously. Jotaro looked like he was getting ready to explode, the veins in his forehead bulging dangerously, and his lips turned downward into a frown. "I never said I was cheating on you, I wouldn't do that! Just because we don't have sex as much anymore, doesn't mean I would cheat!" you screamed.
Nothing but back and forth. It was for certain that your neighbors could hear you two bickering and the police were called. If only you two could see the green-eyed little girl peaking through her slightly cracked door watching and clutching onto the dolphin plushie her dear father gifted on her birthday. The sad expression on Jolyne's face watching her parents argue. She knew it was bad news. It was very alarming news. Sickening. Disgusting. Horrifying. Jolyne was scared and confused. She knew her parents loved each other deeply. How could they fight like this?
"You ain't leaving. That's final." Jotaro stared into your dark brown-colored eyes before letting your arms go, watching you slowly slip to the ground as you slightly sobbed in your hands. He stood there before kneeling to your level, gently wrapping his arms around you, embracing you in a hug. "I'm sorry, dear," Jotaro said quietly. "I know it feels like I'm abandoning you, but please believe me when I say we will work this out, together." You nodded, sniffling and leaning further into his hold. You closed your eyes and gave into his embrace.
You can't help but be disillusioned.

"You look good." Jotaro says, his eyes fixed on your hand stitching his arm. It's been five months since you woke up one day to find his side of the bed cold, empty, and unmade. Jotaro had broken up with you shortly after that over text. He said that the two of you just weren’t working anymore. Now, Jotaro is inwardly grateful for the hat covering his face, as it hid how unhappy he's truly been since he left.
“Thanks, you too.” You say curtly. The silence between the two of you was awkward and deafening. So many unsaid words hung in the air like fresh laundry. You promised yourself that you wouldn’t feel angry when you saw Jotaro again, but you couldn’t help it. Questions ran through your mind at a mile a minute. Why did he leave? What wasn’t working? Why didn’t he tell me in person? Too many questions in so little time, so you didn’t ask.
“How have you been? You know since…” you trail off, alluding to his abrupt departure.
"Fine," Jotaro grumbles. He looks down at his arm as you continue your work. He's so thankful to be in your presence again, to hear your voice, to know you aren't completely gone, like so many people he loved, but he can't let you know how much this is upsetting him. He couldn’t afford to be weak, weakness was unnecessary and time consuming. Weakness got you killed. Jotaro had to be strong, just like the people counting on him call for him to be. Even if it feels like his heart is crumbling right in front of him with every second that passes.
"You?"
You sigh.
“To be honest? It’s been tough, but I’ve been pushing through.” You shrug. Jotaro’s heart clenches at the thought of you struggling in any capacity, but it hurts more because he knows he was the cause of it.
"You've been pushing through," he mutters, taking a breath and closing his eyes.
"You're tough." God, Jotaro thought. I feel like such a dick for calling her over here. But he didn’t know who else would answer. There was no one else who would answer.
“This one might sting, hold on.” You look up at him before making another stitch. He winces.
You wince, you never liked seeing Jotaro in pain. Even now, it hurt your heart to see him flinch or wince in pain.
“Sorry about that.” You finish two more stitches before rising from a hunched over position and stretching your back.
“Stay here, I’m gonna get you a bandage.” You walk over to the first aid kit you brought to grab a bandage to cover his arm. You come back to where Jotaro is.
“Give me your arm.”
"I'm already holding it out," he snaps. His voice is cold, but it doesn't hide the tinge of hurt he feels underneath. He doesn't look up to meet your gaze, and you wonder if it's his pride or his guilt that keeps him from doing so. Either way, he holds his arm up to you, his hand steady now that his body has processed the pain.
You sigh, already tired of the undeserved attitude you received, but you understood him.
“Please, not today.” You mutter. You wrap his arm carefully.
“I’m all done. Do you need anything else?” You ask, a small part hoping he would need something, anything else. Seeing and touching him in such a long time made your heart feel full again, but you knew that when Jotaro decides on something, you would have to go through hell and high water to change his mind.
"Nope," Jotaro says. The arm is wrapped in gauze, the bloody needle thrown away. He sighs, and suddenly, that small part of him wants you to ask him about his day, what he'd had for breakfast, anything. If you wanted something more, you knew that you'd have to be the one to broach the subject. To broach the subject of whether or not he wanted another chance. As it is, he's holding the door open for you.
“How was your morning?” You ask, clearly not wanting to leave his presence just yet, but who could blame you?
Jotaro narrows his eyes as he considers this, the corners of his lips lifting minutely.
"Fine." He's not quite sure what to ask you in turn, and he can't stand the silence.
"Yours?"
“It could’ve been better.” ‘With you’, you wanted to add, but decided against it. You sigh, walking out of the door reluctantly, wishing he would say something about the two of you. Even now after everything, you’d still take him back. It sounded bad, but you felt as if the love you and Jotaro shared was a once-in-a-lifetime thing, and you never wanted to give it up.
He watches you leave, and it takes all of his willpower to not call you back into the room, to say he’s sorry, that he’s regretted every moment he woke up without you next to him, to admit that he would call for you in his sleep sometimes only to wake up only to be hit with the harsh reality of his choices. But that would be weak, and Jotaro had no time to seem weak. Weakness was time consuming and worthless. The look on your face tells him that he's hurt you in a way he can't undo, and he couldn't stomach the idea of bringing you anymore pain and unhappiness by getting you involved with him again. Jotaro watches you go, waiting until you're gone to let out a breath of exhaustion.
As you walk down the hall, a stream of tears fall down your face. What was the point of it all? Did he bring me over to hurt me all over again? Before you knew it, you were already angrily walking back to his door, knocking furiously.
“Open this fucking door!” You say, tears rushing down your face. Jotaro opens the door with a shocked and pained expression before quickly masking it with his usual cold and nonchalant mask.
Jotaro jumps, then freezes.
"U-" he begins, unsure of what to say. He takes two steps back from the door, knowing you're a force to be reckoned with, especially when you get upset.
"What do you want?" he asks. His voice is cold and neutral, hiding the way his heart is racing in his chest. On the inside, Jotaro thanks whatever higher power that his voice didn’t betray him.
You walk in, pressing a finger into his broad chest.
“Why’d you tell me to come here, hm? Five months, Jotaro. Five fucking months! Not a word from you. All I got was a text saying that ‘we weren’t working’. What wasn’t working? What was the problem? You just up and left! You left me! You left us!” A mix of anger, pain, hurt, confusion, and frustration paint your features.
“That’s not fair Jotaro, and you know it!”
"And this is? What the fuck did you want me to do?" He asks, a bit incredulously. It's hard not to be hurt by your anger, even though he knows you have every right to be upset. Jotaro crosses his arms over his chest, but doesn't retreat any further.
"It's not fair for me to put you through all the stuff I did. The nightmares, the anger, none of it. I did it for you. You shouldn’t have had to deal with that, Y/N."
“But I was willing! I loved you- no scratch that, I love you despite all that! I thought we could’ve helped you together.” Your voice breaks.
“You don’t think I would’ve left if I couldn’t handle it? Was it me? What was it that made you leave?”
A part of him wants, no, craves to open his arms to you, take you in, apologize, and tell you that you'll make it through this together. But the greater part of him wants to keep you safe and unhurt. You deserve the world, but how can something so hurt and damaged give someone like you their love?
"It's not you, Y/N," he says, his voice quiet.
"It's all me. I didn't think I was worthy to have your love. I still don't." he says guiltily, almost as if he was a child who was caught messing with something he shouldn’t have.
“You don’t get to decide that! I do. I decide who to give my love to, Jotaro. I’m the one who deems people worthy of loving. And I deemed you worthy a long time ago.” You sniff, not as angry but still a bit hurt. You felt for Jotaro, his time in Egypt had taken a toll on him. But you couldn’t excuse his behavior.
He looks at you, your kind eyes, your understanding heart. And he sees himself as a broken monster, filled with rage and malice and despair, and he wonders how someone can love a beast like that. If he took you back, all his wounds would inevitably bleed onto you.
“Y/N,” he says softly, like you were something fragile he was terrified of breaking,
“You can do better than me. Why would you choose… this?” You grasp at his chest and shake him back and forth.
“Don’t you get it? I don’t want better. I want you! I want you, Jotaro.” A small, wistful, hopeful laugh escapes his lips.
“Why? Why would you settle for something like me? There are so many people who could love you better than I can.” He doesn't understand why you would want him, but by god, it feels like maybe there's a chance. A chance to try again, to start anew.
“Because I don’t know how to love anyone the way I love you. It’s always been you. I don’t want to have my pick of anyone else, I want you. In all your brokenness.” You move your hands from his shoulders and cup his face. “I love you, Jotaro. I couldn’t think to love someone else.”
He stares back at you, his lips parted. His heart is pounding in his chest, and every instinct in him is telling him to kiss you, right there, so you could see just how sorry he truly was. He doesn't do it, but his fingertips rise to touch your cheek, his thumb caressing the side of your tear stained face lightly.
"Y/N," he whispers, and the way he says your name tells you everything you need to know.
You pull Jotaro into a long embrace, kissing his temple.
“I don’t want anyone else. Just you. Just Jotaro.” You say quietly, but loud enough for him to hear me.
"Just me?" he asks. Tears prick his eyes at the thought. You would really put yourself through the ups and downs of dating a man like him? Even if your feelings for him are true, there are many times when he's cold and distant, other times when he's kind and loving. It was all worth it for you? He didn’t want to believe it, because that would leave Jotaro with one conclusion. He was worthy of love, and life.
You nod.
“Just you, forever.” You were willing to go to hell and back for him, and he knew it.
"Forever?" he asks softly. His hands cup your face, and he lowers a delicate but loving kiss on your lips before he can convince himself to stop.
"You'd really accept that deal?"
Your heart feels complete once again during the kiss, though Jotaro was a man of few words, but you understood everything he said through the kiss. You nod your head.
“A million times if you asked me to.”
"I don't know what I did to deserve a woman like you," he says, leaning his forehead against yours.
"But I'll take it."
A small laugh bubbles up your chest and comes out of your mouth.
“I love you, Jotaro.”
"I love you too," he says back. A million times over. He thinks he might cry from relief, but he doubts it.
You wipe the remnants of your tears from your face.
“I wish you would’ve told me this was how you were feeling, but I understand why you didn’t. Egypt and Dio have made you tough and closed off, but there’s still a softness in you. That’s what makes you human. I don’t want you to feel like you have to be Jotaro with me, I want you to be Jojo.” You say.
"I can do that," he says, a small and tentative smile gracing his face. He is Jojo, not Jotaro, and he's going to make sure you have no doubt of that.
"But you know what happened to me," Jotaro adds,
"I’m broken in a lot of ways. Are you okay with that?"
A soft and fond smile grows. You nod.
“I understand that, and I’m ready to love you despite all of it. I knew what I signed up for the first time I told you that I loved you.”
Jotaro blinks back tears.
"You were so easy to love," he says softly, "I still can't believe you'd put yourself through my hurt and anger and darkness because you love me."
You raise your pinky finger to him.
“We’ll get through it together, just like we always do.” You say with a soft smile.
He links his pinky, eyes shining with love. "Together."
