I remember when I first watched Hunting Palismen and heard the famous “Our family is gone because of wild magic. I can’t let the same happen to you” line. I immediately called it bullshit like out loud.

After extended fandom experience, I went “it prob wasn’t a lie, just bc he’s awful and lied about the Titan and this just so happens to align with his propaganda of wild magic which we know is lie doesn’t mean he can’t be sympathetic. Tragic backstory villains are very popular, after all!”
