redoing my tag list
Hola chicos, listen
This is my actual tsc taglist. Some of you probably don’t wanna be in here anymore, I totally get it, I just want to know who might like to be removed, and if you’re not in here if you wanna be added. I won’t hold any grudges, I swear, even if we’re mutuals, I don’t care why you want to be removed, that’s okay.

For those who just started following me, I write for the throne of glass fandom, the acotar fandom and the shadowhunters chronicles fandom - also I’m willing to write Crescent City fics too, but I have to warn you, never done it. I just posted tsc content on here, but I have plenty of works for the others fandoms too and I’d really love if you could send some prompts in and starters from whatever list you prefer. I’d appreciate that.
I’m willing to write any ship, romance, bromance, anything really, even the weridest matches like- idek, Lorcan and Feyre or Jem and Cristina (???????the fuck), so don’t be shy, I’ll welcome everything with open arms.
For now, the tog tag list only has @maastrash  (still screaming btw), hope it can grow;)

Reader: I'm gonna have some fun (goes to read books)
Authors: Let's kill this one. Let's torment this character. Ah sweetheart, you should be suffering from this disease. Omg, you two can't have a relationship, you're siblings! Let's make you sacrifice yourself for the others. And you, you should have an incredibly tragic childhood...
Yes, I'm having so much fun.

Lady Midnight/Empire of Storms
So this is something that’s been on my mind since my friend brought it up and I just wanted to organize everything into a tidy little tumblr post.
I read Lady Midnight after finishing Empire of Storms (I know, I know don’t kill me for being late on that series I adore Cassie and her writing) but anyways-when I was reading the end of Lady Midnight I couldn’t help but think of how similar it was to the end of Empire of Storms?? Please tell me this was not just me. I’ll list some of the parallels:
-Kieran = Lorcan
It’s fairly obvious how the way these two play into the plot are similar. They both are the reason our beloved main character got whipped by someone they sort of-kind of-not really-anymore-used to follow and obey. Keiran for being scorned by his lover Mark and Lorcan simply FOR his lover. Said lovers are both incredibly betrayed and angry at their now-exes because of this.
-The Beach Scene(TM)
*blushes* I don’t really need to go on about this one? Both sets of main protagonist lovers...made love for the first time...on a beach...Yeah...
-Aelin = Emma
I can see how this is a stretch but I can’t help but compare these two amazing female main characters? Both are badass blonde’s who break the gender stereotypes set for women in YA literature and just society in general? Both have been with guys before making them not the ‘pure’ virgin characters that are expected? How are they so perfect?? Most who know me know The Mortal Instruments was my first fandom and the one that’s going to always be at the top of my list when I talk about my favorite series. So when I first read Throne of Glass, I couldn’t help but compare Aelin to Jace, and in the same way I compare Emma to Jace. So the obvious connection would be comparing Aelin to Emma. Though I, of course, acknowledge that these are two different characters with very different depth and personality-but they do share similar traits.
-Kieran v Cristina = Manon v Lorcan
Also not glaringly obvious, but I can see how these two are part of the many parallels between Lady Midnight and Empire of Storms. Though I recognize the Cristina aspect is  far (far) more canon then the Manon one, I know a shit load of people ship Manon and Elide (considerably less then the people that ship elorcan, but I stand by my case). I can see similarities between the relationship that Manon, Elide and Lorcan share compared to the one that Kieran, Mark, and Cristina share (putting aside the possible OT3 we may get that’s hinted at in Lord of Shadows, I’m focusing only on Lady Midnight here).
So, yeah, those are just a few similarities I observed (I’m sure I forgot a hell of a lot of them, it’s been a while since I read both books). Other than these things though the two novels and series as a whole are really really different, but because I read these two book within a time span of two weeks or so, I was still in the EOS mindset and kept trying to relate everything to Throne of Glass. I’m sure some of you have done the same post-maas withdrawl lmao

Tumblr media
AN: Thank you so much non non! You’re the sweetest xx
I wouldn’t change a thing
Elain’s visions were getting worse, sometimes she couldn’t distinguish her visions from reality because they were so vivid. She also had longer bouts of time where she was lucid. She was worried that something was wrong with her. The vision felt more like a curse than the gift they were supposed to be.
She slowly withdrew from the inner circle, not that anyone really noticed, which was a relief. She stopped spending time in the garden too, finding that some visions were so intense and breathtaking that her whole body would seize and quake for hours, leaving her feeling sore when her senses finally returned.
It was not a state she would like people to see her in.  She felt shame and embarrassment for some inexplicable reason. She was a freak, or at least she felt like it. It had been almost 3 weeks since she had been keeping her distance and the Shadowsinger  had returned from a mission Rhys had sent him on.
Of course one of the first things he did was seek her out. She had tried to skirt him for as long as possible but he was the spymaster for a reason and he was also very persistent. She was iin the townhouse library when he found her. He cleared his throat to get her attention. Snapoing out of her thoughts, she rested her tired eyes on him, standing abruptly.
“Hello.” He greeted, politely, bowing his head in her direction. “May I sit?” He looked pointedly in the direction of the empty chair. She shifted from foot to foot, looking like a deer in the headlights, trying to find an escape.
“Actually, I was just heading out.” She tried to look apologetic. The guilt ate her up inside as he looked a bit crestfallen.
“Oh…okay, that’s fine.”  She watched him rummage around in his pockets of his leather before procuring some sort of seeds out of them.
“I got you these, they are adrastia..um, they are a rare flower from Vallahan. I thought you might like them.” He explained in a rush, as if he was trying to downplay the gfit.  His cheeks held a faint pink to them.
Her hands shook slightly as she reached out to take them from his grasp, their fingers brushing briefly. She had never gotten such a gift from someone and her heart swelled with happiness. She hadn’t felt such emotions since her visions became more frequent.
“Oh it’s lovely, Az.” Her voice getting choked up with adoration. “I can’t wait to plant them.”
A small satisfied smile spread across his lips and he ducked his head to hide it.
“Well I’ll leave you to it then.” He said and took his leave.
***
She should have known that after Azriel’s return, it would be harder for her to hide her predicament, mostly because since she turned he was the one she was the most comfortable with. They were best friends and it was also the fact he was notorious for his spying and attentive capabilities. He noticed the shift in her immediately but didn’t press the issue at first. He gave her space and time for her to come to him on her own but she never did.
She would watch the shadows wreath around him, dart around her and then caress his ears. She always wondered how much they told him, what he saw? Did he see how she was crumbling inside?
He must have had enough because he cornered her in her room the next night. His arms braced on the door frame, hindering her from shutting it on him. His lips pursed and his face unimpressed.
She backed away from the entry as he sauntered inside. His features were half concealed by the shadow. It was a rare sight for her to see them on display so blatantly, when she was with him they were practically non-existent.
She sat on her bed silently,  knees braced to her chest,  nightgown hitching up slightly. Azriel sat across on the chair, arms on his knees, those long, delicate fingers tucked under his chin as he gazed at her with unwavering concentration. His scrutiny unnerving.
“Is there something you needed?” She asked politely, since he wasn’t offering up any explanations. He was sitting in her room after all.
He arched an eyebrow in response, almost as if he was waiting for something. He rubbed his bottom lip in thought and her gaze flickered to those pink, soft pillows. His eyes darkened as he tracked her movement, the muscles in his arms tensing, veins protruding. He cleared his throat and she dragged her gaze back to those endless hazel eyes, a forest of green and the warmth and sturdiness of soil mixed together.
“When did your visions start becoming more frequent.” Her mouth dropped open in shock. That was not what she was expecting him to say.
“You know?” She asked, incredulously. He scoffed, as if he was slightly offended from her line of questioning.
“I’m the spymaster, it’s kind of in my job description.” The Shadowsingers sense of humor was dry and rare among most, except her.
“Everyone else might be oblivious but it’s my job to notice what others don’t. You always tug at your bottom lip with your teeth  when something is bothering you or you’re nervous, like you’re doing now.”
She hadn’t even realised and released her hold on it. Immediately, embarrassment flushed through her cheeks.
“One thing led to another and I was patient, observing, waiting for you to confess to me yourself but I realised you weren’t going to…so when?” He asked, going back to his original question.
“Almost a month ago.” She stated, quietly. He let out a deep sigh and ran his fingers through his midnight locks, making it disheveled.
“Why did you keep it to yourself for so long.”
Elain looked down and rubbed her arm. Her nose started prickling, eyes becoming glassy with emotion.
“Because something is wrong. I’m wrong. The visions don’t just take over my mind anymore but make my whole body seizes up now. I’m a mess. It’s embarrassing not being able to hold a conversation with someone for longer than five minutes.” She sniffled.
Azriel stood up instantly and crossed the distance between them in three strides. A scowl etched onto his face, every inch of him vibrated with tension. He tilted her chin up, delicately so their eyes met once more.
Cupping her chin, he studied her steadily, his focus unrelenting. To some it would be invasive, making them want to recoil, but it made Elain Ignite.
“Listen to me and listen to me well, there is nothing wrong with you.” She opened her mouth to argue.
“But-“
“Nothing.” He injected cutting her off because she could even start. Her body practically dragged into him in relief. She didn’t discern how much she needed to hear those words.
“You’re exactly where you need to be. Your gifts are just evolving, it should settle down once again.” He explained. She let out a breath of relief.
“I wish I was like Nesta, stubborn, proud and unflinching in the face of toil or like Feyre who is so strong and giving, all I do is hide and cower.” Disappointment laced her every word. He frowned at her.
“You’re more brilliant than you think and I wouldn’t change a damn thing about you, Elain Archeron.” He spoke with such reverence.
“Without you or your courage my brother would be dead as would your sister. That doesn’t sound like a coward to me.” His eyes were practically glowing with embers.
Elain was overcome gratitude and passion. No one really saw her the way Azriel did. Everyone just chose to see the flower loving girl who wanted to be coddled. She had more fire in her than Nesta and Feyre combined. She made a split second decision, her fingers curled into Azriel’s hair as her lips met his in a quick brush. His body contracted under from the sudden assault. She pulled back a couple inches to gauge his reaction.
He was stunned. She guessed things could be slipped past the spymaster after all.
“W-what…what was that for?”
“You’re the spymaster, you tell me.” She retorted in a satisfied way. He blinked and seemed at a loss for words. She went back and did it again. He cursed.
“I can’t think when you do that.” He bit out in a tortured tone.
“Then don’t think, just be.”
He got a dark, wolfish gleam in his eyes…oh boy she really did poke the Illyrian this time. He hauled her body against his, till they were flush and she was on his lap.
His mouth met hers in a searing kiss, one that sent her world off axis. His fingers bunching up the fabric at her waist, the other hand weaving into her hair.
It was bruising and emblazoned with outpouring desire. She kissed him back like she was starving for so long and he was her salvation.
“We shouldn’t.” He groaned against her lips, trying to regain some of his wits.
“Shut up.” She volleyed back as she tugged at the hair on his scalp. “I want this.” She panted into him. “I want you.”
Those words were his undoing. His lips trailed down her neck, to her jaw and back to her mouth again, branding her to him, again and again and again.
Indeed, there wasn’t anything he would change about her, except the status of their relationship….

Book Tag
I was tagged by @highladyofthenight. Thank you!
1. What is your favorite book of all time?
*gaps* what, am I supposed to choose only one? Seriously? *shakes head* jokes aside ... I don’t know. One of my favourite standalone books is Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell. If you ask me to choose from a book series ... either Heir of Fire or A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J Maas.
2. What are you currently reading?
Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare.
3. Have you ever thought about writing a book?
No. I’ve always known I wouldn’t be that good of a writer. It’s just not in me I guess. (I’m struggling with a simple fanfiction, I can’t imagine trying to write a real book. @owlawesomeness really knows about this though. She’s extremely good at writing stuff).
4. What’s your favorite series?
Right now? Either A Court of Thorns and Roses or Throne of Glass by Sarah J Maas or The Shadowhunter Chronicles by Cassandra Clare. As honorable mentions, I’m going to say Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi, The Lux and The Covenant by Jennifer L Armentrout and A Song of Ice and Fire by George R R Martin.
5. What is a book you want to read?
Wintersong, for example. It’s the next one from my TBR list.
6. What’s in your TBR list?
In my summer TBR (let’s keep it short because the real one is never-ending), I have: Wintersong, A Monster Calls, Something Borrowed, El día que sueñes con flores salvajes and A Dance with Dragons.
7. Who are your favorite fictional characters?
Feyre, Rhys, Cassian, Azriel, Tarquin (all from ACOTAR), Aelin, Rowan, Aedion, Gavriel, Fenrys, Manon, Asterin, Dorian (all from ToG), Mark, Julian, Emma, Alec, Magnus, Tessa, Will, Sophie, Gideon, Gabriel, Cecily (from The Shadowhunter Chronicles), Daemon, Katy (all from The Lux), Aiden St Delphi, Alexandria (all from The Covenant) ... etc.
8. What is your favorite ship?
Rowaelin (ToG), Feysand and Nessian (ACOTAR), Malec, Wessa and Jemma (The Shadowhunter Chronicles) and many more.
9. Open the first page of the book closest to you and write down the first paragraph.
Kit had only recently found out what a flail was, and now there was a rack of them hanging over his head, shiny and sharp and deadly.
- Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare.
10. What’s the first fandom you were in?
Oh my. It was Twilight!
Let’s tag: @lovecakeandmore, @addictedtobookss, @owlawesomeness and YOU. Yes, you. You know you want to :D

For over 50 years the Fleur du Cap wine brand has proudly associated itself with the Theatre Awards as displaying the flair that is synonymous with the wine. “Theatre is the showcase for generations of artists; it is an honour to support such a pivotal part of the industry,” says SA Brand Manager for Premium Wines, Khanya Mashalaba.
Through awarding excellence in professional theatre Fleur du Cap wine and the Theatre Awards have played a significant role in the lives of South African theatre-makers.
Winners are chosen from productions performed at professional theatre venues in and around Cape Town. Theatre practitioners are recognised for acting, directing, staging and technical ability. These nominations reflect the excellent theatre talent seen on stages throughout the Western Cape last year. For the first time, awards will be made in the categories of Best Performance in an Opera (Male), Best Performance in an Opera (Female), Best Performance by an Ensemble, Best Theatre Production for Children and Young People and Best Production.
