I’m sorry but I do not believe anyone who says they love Lucien and at the same time ship him with Vassa. Why would you ship him with a human he will outlive by centuries? Sjm has made it clear that the mating bond is rare and cherished among fae. And Lucien clearly longs for a relationship with Elain. If you love Lucien so much why don’t you want him to have that epic, fated love? 🤨

One thing I hate about like 78% of the acotar/sjm fandom is that they are incapable of reading between the lines for any character that isn’t the main character.

It’s such a dead giveaway you’re one of these people if you hate Aedion, Chaol, Mor, Nesta before she got a book, or Elain.

Its so beyond weird to me that there is zero indication that azriel’s shadows leaving is a negative thing but the fandom decided it and then proceeded to use it a proof. Huh?🤔

The actual author and creator of these characters has never once alluded to that in interviews or the actual books.

Azriel’s shadows being afraid if elain(and mor by extension) is a FANON HEADCANON. Yoi cannot use that as absolute proof.

Azriel himself addresses the shadows leaving in his bonus chapter. So it’s clearly not a negative or weird thing to him. Actually appears to be a positive thing for Azriel.

Ok thinking about the mating bond again, I have a hard time believing SJM will ever write a true rejected mates pair. The closest she'll get is Helion-LoA who will end up together in the end. Because she projects her feelings about the bond through the characters and it's clear what she thinks of it. The only time she wrote a character realistically NOT being thrilled by the prospect of a mating bond (Nesta), she got absolutely dragged through the dirt for it (through Cassian). Then she wrote Nesta thinking poorly of Elain for avoiding her mating bond with Lucien. Not that Lucien has done anything wrong, but the proof is in the pudding. SJM is a fated mates writer now and always.
