you and chenle don’t really get along, which is surprising considering the fact that not only are you dating his best friend but before that, the three of you were practically inseparable.

“bro, they’re so… ugh!” chenle leaned back harshly against his chair, throwing his arms over his chest as he glared at you from across the table. you sat with your eyes narrowed, imagining daggers shooting from your gaze.

jisung had his hands up between the two of you, lips parted as he tried to come up with some form of resolution. “o-okay! how about, um, y/n and chenle day together?”

“what?!” both you and chenle sat up in unison, huffing at each other in disgust for speaking at the same time.

“ye-yeah! you two need to get along again, and i’m tired of being the middleman. think of it like… uh… therapy!”

jisung’s tone wasn’t pitiful, but you still felt guilty.

with a long, drawn-out sigh, you begrudgingly twisted your head until your eyes fell on jisung’s best friend. “fine. for you, ji? i’ll hang out with you. i guess.”

chenle let out a breath as well but straightened in his chair and looked at you. “for ji.”

“a-and when you—“ you cut yourself off with a loud, over-the-top laugh, clutching your stomach as you held onto chenle to keep yourself upright. he was in the same position as you were, hanging off your shoulder as he laughed and laughed.

to say chenle-y/n day went well would be an understatement. after arguing over what to get for lunch, ranting about your newly discovered shared love for reality tv, and saving a cat from a tree, you’d say the day was a success.

jisung was leaning against a wall, playing on his phone, until hearing your boisterous laughter and turning to face the two of you. he raised a hand to wave, but faltered when he saw yours and chenle’s arms around each other.

you noticed his wavering smile and flashed a bright smile. “jisung! why did you never tell me how awesome this freak is?!”

“uh, i-i don—“

“yeah! sorry, y/n’s my best friend now. what’s a jisung? jisung who?”

“w-well, that’s—“

“oh my god, you should have seen that kitten, ji! we were literally superheroes.”

“right?!”

jisung ran a nervous hand through his hair and swallowed the urge to pull you away from each other. i mean, he was the one who wanted the two of you to get along, right? why was seeing his partner and his best friend together so... icky?

“that’s, um... i’ve gotta—oh look! mark is calling.” you didn’t hear his phone ring at all, but jisung still pressed his phone to his ear and rushed out of the room.

huffing a sigh, you detached yourself from chenle and ran after your boyfriend. by the time you caught up to him, he was mumbling something about ghosts into his phone.

“ji,” you called, reaching out to grab the sleeve of his hoodie. “what’s wrong? you don’t seem like yourself.”

he smiled at your words, but it didn’t look very genuine. you gave his arm a gentle squeeze, and jisung’s shoulders sagged, his smile melting. “okay, i didn’t like that. like, at all.”

“like what?”

“you. and chenle, i don’t know… being all close and friendly like that just… rubbed me wrong.”

you raised a brow. “i mean, aren’t you the one who wanted us to get along?”

“i did! in my head… watching it was icky.” he cringed and you bit your lips together to stop from laughing. “icky?”

“yeah! my partner and my best friend? together? no thank you, go back to plotting each other’s demise, please.”

you bursted, loud laughter spilling from your lips at the look of absolute disgust on your boyfriend’s face. “wow, okay. next time just say you’re jealous~”

“wh-i’m not jealous!”

“alright. whatever you say,”

“y/n, i’m not!”

- on one hand, he’s so used to being level-headed and being the one to alleviate rough situations - he’s a leader after all - but on the other hand, he can’t help but get irrationally jealous sometimes - and he beats himself up over it because he knows he’s better than this - he has a possessive quality about him, especially when it’s you - but what he also has is the fantastic ability to recognize his feelings and know how to properly process them - so when he gets jealous, he takes time to himself to calm down and think more rationally - when he reenters the situation, he feels more himself and is reminded how much he loves and trusts you - you two talk it out a bit and swap reassurances of love and it works out <3

minho

- will take it seriously if you betray his trust - even if he gets jealous on his own accord, he’s not the most amicable - maybe he jumps to conclusions a bit fast and ends up shutting you out to try and protect himself and his feelings - can tend to get uncommunicative which makes it difficult to reach him - his intentions aren’t malicious, he just immediately goes into self-preservation mode - it often takes him talking to one of the other members for them to make him realize he’s overreacting - then he talks to you and you work it out - his jealousy can become a point of contention in your relationship but it’s nothing you can’t work out and make less serious as time goes on - at the end of the day you love each other

- feels the need to overcompensate :(( - turns up his comedy to try and make you laugh more than the person he’s jealous of - just tries to remind you why he’s better by showing off his charm - after a while, he starts to feel a bit silly - when you two are finally alone, then he’ll be transparent with how he’s feeling and try to work his emotions out with you - you’re always willing to have the conversations he needs to have - and you both leave feeling closer and more confident in your relationship - changbin king of communication!

- doesn’t tend to get jealous because he is such a romantic and loves with his WHOLE heart so if he’s getting into a relationship, he’s making sure there is SO much love between him and his partner - so if he gets in a relationship with you, you best believe he trusts you fully - so when he does get jealous, it’s not that he’s worried something will happen - he more so just gets a bit sad because he’s missing you - he doesn’t expect to be at the center of your attention 24/7 but it just saddens him a bit when you’re spending more time with someone else - he just misses you! - but then he sees you again and you go out and everything’s okay again

- he turns his jealousy inwards on himself rather than you or the person he’s jealous of - it sort of just heightens his insecurities - makes him spiral into why he’s not good enough for you - even though that’s not the case at all - also blames himself for feeling that way because it makes him feel foolish - just lets himself take all of the punches from his jealousy - doesn’t want to be stupid and get you involved - but it doesn’t take much to pull him out of that spiral - just a little bit of assurance that you love him and he’s all smiles again

- felix has a big heart and cares a lot about the health of your relationship - if he gets jealous or feels insecure as a partner, he wants to do everything he can to fix it - usually this will be talking it out with you - but he rarely takes the lead in these conversations - instead, he shares all of his feelings and thoughts and looks to you for advice - sometimes he’ll ask his others members for advice as to not burden you with his issues - he just wants to find a solution that works for the both of you, whether that’s spending more time together, giving one another more assurance, etc. - he’s not one to shut you out or take time to himself, he’s more one to jump into a back-and-forth with you to figure out how to keep jealousy at bay

- doesn’t really get jealous - hates the feeling cause he’s just making discomfort for himself - trusts you and respects your decisions to spend time with whoever you want - as long as you come home to him at the end of the day and you fall asleep in his arms, who’s he to complain? - if he DOES somehow get jealous, he just gets upset at himself - takes some time away from the situation to put it in perspective and figure his emotions out - ends up just ignoring it until it goes away

- he may have a jealous instinct - but he has more of a communication instinct - so when he gets jealous, he channels his natural fervor into confronting you directly to talk it out - he’s very honest and blunt with how he’s feeling and expect you to be the same - doesn’t appreciate it if you dance around the issue - so be transparent with him and the issue gets solved just like that - his other method is removing himself from the situation and sitting with himself or with another member to work out his feelings independently - he’s a mature one, very good at working out relationship issues

note: (non!idol au, university au) so I think this is so scattered because my thoughts are all over the place but I will get to editing it later tonight. go through contacts are basically the people in your contacts who can bypass the ‘do not disturb’ and have notifs of their chats despite dnd being on.

They aren’t even trying to hide it anymore, they love your boyfriend. And your boyfriend couldn’t care less.

The girl is practically throwing herself at him, her finger twirling her blonde hair while the other squeezes his biceps. She’s so close to him she might as well be the air he breathes.

Jisung on the other hand, doesn’t do anything. He laughs at her attempt to flatter him, compliments about his muscles, his face, his whole fucking being. He is beyond amused at how these girls try to be his.

He smiles at the sight of you, ignoring the murderous look you have for the scene in front of you. “Baby! You’re back, finally.” He beams excitedly, like a squirrel with an acorn.

You smile back, glancing at the girl who still has her hand on your boyfriend. She rolls her eyes, trotting back to her friends. You finally feel the air become light again.

“Hi sweetheart, what were you doing?” You ask, sitting on his lap.

His hands instinctively hold you close, one wraps around you waist the other on your thigh. “Was gonna study but these girls kind of pushed their friend on me, I’m so glad you’re here now.” Your boyfriend explains, before kissing you on the cheek. “Are you ready for finals?” He queries, tucking a stray hair behind your ear.

The finals are a day away and you can’t rest, overwhelmed by the thought of your boyfriend cheating on you. You don’t think he would do that, you trust him. But, he’s just so pretty. Girls naturally flock around him like birds to bread.

Why did he choose you? When there are much prettier, skinnier, paler, taller girls than you.

The (toxic) girls around you can tell you’re nothing but garbage compared to them, they know it well, so well that they hit on Jisung even when you’re together. Shamelessly accidentally tripping and making him help them, and his kind heart actually leaving your side to help the fallen lady.

Just a few minutes ago, you were happily chatting with him when a girl about 5 inches taller than you, brunette, and more fit than you are approached him. You thought it would be like the others, he’d say thank you to the compliments and go back to you.

But instead, you have to witness him fawn over this woman you don’t even know. He doesn’t even bother introduce the two of you.

“So how have you been?” Her squeaky voice just annoying you, drilling into your head how everyone is so much more feminine than you.

And you will never be good enough for Jisung.

“I’ve been good!” He returns the same enthusiasm she has, not bothered by her finger tracing shit on his chest.

“Jisung-“

“Hold on, baby. I’m talking to someone.” He cuts you off, not even sparing you a glance. He just continues to flirt with this woman as if you aren’t there.

Well alright, you’ll just make it reality.

You pick up your things, placing it all in you bag then standing up to leave the cafeteria. The place is buzzing loudly in your ear, not helping the hate thoughts consuming you.

When you find a secluded place in the study hall, you settle down. Your bag dropping beside you.

You plug your earphones in, turning the volume up so it’s the only thing you can hear.

It’s been 2 days since the brunette incident and you’ve been trying your best to avoid Jisung. Not wanting to talk or hear his voice again. Even going to the extent of muting his texts and taking him off your ‘go through’ contacts.

Those two days have been the most peaceful ones since you got into a relationship 5 years ago. No noisy fangirls or fanboys, not a cellphone pinging with notifications. Just silence and rest.

You got through the finals, confident you would pass them with flying colors.

You admire the setting sun, the waves giving you wonderful white noise and it almost sounds like Jisung and his friend?

“You know I’m happy for you.” His friend exclaims, when he notices Jisung’s confused face he mentions you. “I never really liked Y/n, seemed controlling and shit. Besides, Chae-eun is hotter.” He chides, kicking a rock in the way.

You frown angrily, quietly standing up from your spot on the sand. You don’t want to hear Jisung’s reply, it’s not worth the heartbreak you haven’t prepared yourself for.

“Shit, bro is that Y/n?” He gulps, afraid you’ve heard him.

You start walking faster, almost running at that point. You’re so far that you don’t hear Jisung disapproving his friend’s remarks about you, quipping about how perfect you are.

*tuk tuk tuk*

The sound of knocking from your front door resonating to the kitchen where you’re cooking. “Minho? Did you lose your key?” You shout, rushing to the door not caring to peek in the peephole. “Minho-“

“Y/n, please let me explain.” Jisung pleads, visibly tired and worn out. The two days having the opposite effect on him than what it did to you.

He opens his mouth but is interrupted by Minho, your best friend’s hand on you boyfriend’s shoulder in a warning manner. “Y/n, do you want to talk to him?” Minho questions, giving you a comforting nod, as if to say I’ll kick his ass if you don’t want to.

“Yeah, I do. Thanks, Min. You can go inside.” You opened the door wider and he brushes past your boyfriend.

Jisung sighs in relief, and you walk with him to the park where he explains everything. Chae-eun being a childhood bestfriend from his hometown (but he’ll distance himself if you want him to), the boy who insulted you being scolded by Jisung, and him constantly reassuring you between his explanations that you are the only one for him.

“I promise, Y/n. You are the most perfect girl I’ve ever met. You are mine and I intend to keep it that way, you and only you.” He clarifies, tilting your head to look at him. “I’m sorry for pushing you away and making you jealous. I don’t do it on purpose.” He continues, giving you comforting squeezes to the hand.

You start to tear up, relived you’ve finally talked it out. “You’re just so pretty.” You murmur, “everyone who looks at you falls in love.” you blubber.

Despite all your insecurities he stays with you and reassures you with never ending patience.

After calming down you two walk back to your apartment where Minho is fast asleep like a cat on the couch, the table is full of food and your favorite show is paused on the tv.

You smile, waking him up and beckoning him to eat.

The night ending your two day long span of not talking to your beloved.

Han’s face when the ski patrol was flirting with his girl. He was just fixing his boots off to the side and someone came up to check on her and make sure she was doing okay.

They were at the bottom of one of the beginner hills because neither of them had done this before. So, it made sense to check on people. But he was talking to her beyond the necessary amount; asking her about the brain of jacket she wore.

Han stood back up and stared at the smiling love of his life “Okay, babe, let’s get to it! I’m so excited!”

Wrapping a arm like a tree trunk he had pinned your boyfriend to his side, laughing and giggling as you shrieked and squealed trying to weave and bob with the ridiculous members gangly arms and legs.

“Hyunnnnnnng!” The minute the cameras turned off for a tiny break he was wriggling and whining to get out of Chans grip.

“Huh whats that?” The obnoxious sound of the english words made him give his hyung a louder whine shoving him a bit harder. Chan and Changbin burst out laughing as Han freed himself and rushed to your side, lips pulled down in a big pout as he hugged you from behind dropping his chin on your shoulder lips pouted. Your laughter didn’t soothe him either but he relaxed and cuddled into your neck as you reached back petting him through the ridiculous fluffy hat.

Maybe he could endure this a bit longer, when you gave him extra love like this, cooing at how cute he was between shots. It also drove him to a new level of competitiveness during the variety show games, adoring the way your eyes widened in surprise or crinkled in mirth. Not that he’d admit this to any of the members afterward stealing a kiss behind your queue cards rather than faking, sending you into a ridiculous blushing mess as you closed out the show. It certainly gave him the energy to finish the day off, and kept him smiling until the night when he walked home and straight into your waiting arms again. Yeah…coming on your show had been a good thing. Hopefully Stays would enjoy the many new sides of himself he was discovering and showing off too.

The same ringtone buzzed again during rehearsals. Its ding had sounded so many times already that it had started to get repetitive really quickly.

Minho frowned as he looked in the mirror, retouching his rolled sleeves just once more for what he secretly knew it had been more than twenty times. In the span of ten minutes. Maybe even less.

But Minho wasn’t ‘grumpy’.

He so wasn’t.

His day had been normal so far. He had no reason to be grumpy. Not one what-so-ever.

He had woken up in between your arms, and even if he had ‘complained’ about it, he loved being the little spoon. And also, his cats jumped on the bed and, just for once, none of them landed on his face.

There had been just one thing.

…

Well. Technically more than one.

You had rushed outside this morning. You claimed you didn’t have time to have breakfast with him, because you were late for something he didn’t really get. Because of that, you hadn’t come over to the JYP building with him. He had to drive over alone. And you hadn’t pecked him goodbye at the entrance like always.

But he. Wasn’t. Grumpy.

Not. At. All.

> sunggie: girl, did you hide his cats or smth?

< minho’s owner: lol, wdym dude?

> sunggie: he looks like he’s going to kill me.

> sunggie: And he loves me! Wtf??

“Jisung-ah.”

Han shrieked in his place in the sofa, his phone almost falling off his hands. He quickly turned it off, hoping that the grumpy dancer hadn’t seen the old or new messages.

“Who were you texting?” Minho frowned, deeper this time.

“Oh.” Jisung chuckled. “Just checking in on noona.”

“My girlfriend?” The way Minho enunciated the title felt a bit possesive. Jisung eyed at him weirdly for a second. Even he felt weird himself.

Jisung nodded sheepishly, turning his phone back on but quickly opening a random app.

“Yeah. I owed her a call back.” He shrugged, nonchalantly accepting that he had opened Subway Surfers, and started to play.

As the catchy music came from Han’s phone, Minho shook his head.

Not grumpy.

Not at all.

But the thought that you had been texting Han and didn’t text him —instead of him— did funny things in his chest.

Now, keep in mind that Minho would never describe himself as a jealous man.

He trusted you with his cats, of course he trusted you regarding your relationship. But he had barely got a hold of you all day. And Han had. By call and text. Like he was doing now.

Not grumpy.

Sure.

< minho’s owner: you dead yet?

Jisung groaned.

> sunggie: no! you made me lose my score!

> sunggie: and I don’t have any keys! ㅠㅠ

< minho’s owner: sucks to suck, lol

< minho’s owner: but what’s wrong with my future husband? did you do something?

> sunggie: he’s moody since he came in this morning.

> sunggie: you weren’t here tho. smth wrong between ya?

< minho’s owner: no…? just had to run to work early…

And then, something in Jisung’s paboracha brain connected. Probably because of how he had named your contact in his phone.

> sunggie: omg

< minho’s owner: what?

> sunggie: that corny dumbass

> sunggie: he’s so stupid

< minho’s owner: bitch what is it???

> sunggie: he’s moody bc u didn’t come in with him today!

You hesitated. Could that be it?

< minho’s owner: really? u think so?

> sunggie: bitch I know so!

> sunggie: imma go get boba for the boys, get your ass here and come w/ me

Jisung’s brain started to work at cupid’s speed.

< minho’s owner: omw. be there in 5’

“Guys, I’m gonna go get boba. Do any of you want something?”

The rest of the gang blabbered something while some kept going over the steps of the choreography and the others rested on the couch, doozing off or on their phones. Han quickly noted down everyone’s orders, not before being squinted down by Minho. He held back a shiver.

“Clingy prick…” Jisung mumbled, leaving quickly.

He walked out of the JYP building, waiving and half bowing to the staff members and other artists in the building.

< minho’s owner: just parked! ^^

Jisung entered the boba place next to the building, smiling at the cashier as he read down the orders on his note app, and stood aside, waiting for the drinks.

“Hey!” You smiled widely at him, taking off your scarf, merely leaving it hanging on your shoulders. He clapped your hand, playfully slapping your back.

“Working hard?” Jisung snickered, pointing at the bag on your other hand.

You side-eyed at him, giggling softly.

“Took some snacks before heading off.” You shrugged. “We can sneak these in, right?”

Jisung scratched the back of his neck. “We’ll… come up with something.”

You both struggled carrying the drinks, teasing each other and betting who’d make a mess first. But all giggles came to an end when the security guard stared at you.

“Name and business?” He asked in a low huff.

Your body stiffened.

“She’s my sister,” Han chimed back. You were in fact far from being his sister, but that didn’t matter when the guard seemed to nod. “She’s just helping me carry the drinks inside.”

“And the bag? What’s inside?”

You cleared your throat, smiling. “Clothes for him to change once he finishes training.” You lied.

Thank God for his imagination. And for his stupid idea of shoving your scarf and his hoodie into the bag of snacks.

“Ok. You may come in.” The guard smiled politely.

Only after the both of you had gotten into the elevator you allowed yourselves to let out a sight full of relief. You two then smirked, high-fiving.

“Thank you, bro.” You teased in a snicker.

He cackled. “You’re welcome, sis.”

You both laughed and joked until you reached the training room.

“The person you dream of is back!” Han cackled.

“Noona!” Felix grinned happily.

“Yeah, that’s me!” You cackled at Jisung’s faked frown.

You smiled and greeted everyone as you entered, leaving a certain bunny boy for last.

You sat next to him on the couch, and without missing a beat, he took your legs and layed them on his lap.

You took a sip of his drink, and he stared at you, almost with a squint.

“You’ve made me jealous of fucking Han Jisung.” He stated matter-o-factly, making you practically choke on the tapioka pearls.

You coughed. “What?”

“You texted him all evening. And me? Not even a good luck kiss this morning.”

“Aw, are you grumpy, kitten?” You grinned teasingly, speaking only towards him in a soft tone to his ear. You pecked his cheek.

He needed more of those.

Grumpy, huh?

“Yes. Very.” He mumbled, hiding his blushed and pleased grin in the crook of your neck. “Need more kisses.”

“Well, you know how it goes.” You mumbled in a snicker. He hummed at you, waiting for you to explain.

You kissed his forehead softly, his hands stroking your thighs.

“Missed me, missed me, now you gotta kiss me.”
