Headcanons I Have For Some of 1-A
Not all of these are my own and some are very popular/common, but I thought of a lot of them myself too!
Izuku Midoriya
His mum taught him to crochet
His favourite fruit is apples
Before he got One For All he’d try to be a hero by doing cliche good guy things, like helping old people cross the road and getting cats out of trees
Mumbles hero facts in his sleep
Tells his mum about Ochaco all the time
As a child, because he knows his dad’s quirk was breathing fire, he once asked his mother of Endeavour was his dad
Autism and ADHD, heroes are his special interest
Shoto Todoroki
He’s autistic, this is barely a headcanon at this point it may as well be canon
Uses he/him, but doesn’t really care if people use other pronouns
He stimmed a lot as a child but was constantly told off for it until he stopped, now he can barely recognise his own emotions because his stims were different depending on how he felt
He only takes cold showers
When he started talking to them, he would ask Natsuo and Fuyumi to tell him stories about Touya
Katsuki Bakugo
He’s gay
Hard of hearing from his explosions, Class 1-A are trying to learn sign, Present Mic is helping because he’s also hoh from his own quirk

A little rant over the why I consider that Todoroki Shouto is autistic
Disclaimer: As always, this is just one of my many theories. Please don’t attack me for this, if you don’t like it, scroll and continue with your life.
This is the third mha character that I have analysed, and I also think he is the least likely to be autistic (strangely enough because he is also the one more often read as autistic). This is because a lot of his actions can also be read as trauma responses rather than autistic traits, however, this is your friendly reminder that autistic people can (and are actually statistically more likely) to have PTSD. For Shouto, I think it is both autism and C-PTSD.

Insistence on sameness, and difficulty dealing with change
Even though this is not explicitly said anywhere (as far as I know), it’s something that you can definitely notice if you look very closely.
Todoroki remodelled his entire dorm in a day for it to be the same as it was in his home for comfort. He even went to the extent of changing the floors. That shows that he has difficulty dealing with transitions (moving from home, to the dorms).
He is also a very stubborn person, shown in his insistence to only use his ice side for so long. And even though we know this is connected to his trauma towards fire, even after he starts overcoming that, he still heavily relies on his ice, and has a tendency (almost a routine) to always using it first.
Strong sense of justice
Todoroki has an incredible sense of justice, and not in the ´follow every rule’ way like Iida. Todoroki has never hesitated to break the rules to stand up for what he thinks is right. He literally considered torture in USJ arc, if it meant gaining information that could potentially safe lives. In the Kamino Ward arc, he decided to break the rules and go and save Bakugou because he knew that’s what was right (even if it was illegal). He followed Bakugou and Izuku even though it was dangerous and he technically shouldn’t have, but he still went and fought alongside them. In the ‘World Heroes’ Mission’ movie he didn’t hesitate to help Izuku and tell him how to escape even though he was literally accused of mass murder. I think there are many examples of this in general.
It also shows that he is a very loyal person, which isn’t an autistic trait (I think), just a very cool thing about him.
Recognizes patterns easier than his peers
I have two specific examples for this.
Calling himself a hand crusher. He definitely recognized a pattern there. He fought with Midoriya -> He injured his hand. He fought with Iida -> Iida injured his hand. Therefore Hand injuries are caused by him (under this logic).
He was quick to figure out why the villains were at the USJ, and that they definitely had a solid plan. (In a similar way, Tsuyu did the same, who I also headcanon as autistic, but that’s off topic).
Speaking differences/struggles
Todoroki has what can be described as a ‘flat tone’. There are only some very specific scenes where he raises his voice, but in general, his voice tone never really changes. Even when delivering jokes, or sarcastic comments, his tone is always the same.
Struggles with social cues and reading other people tones
I believe this is one of his most recognized traits. He has a lot of difficulty understanding sarcasm and exaggeration when it comes from others, even being told by others that he is ‘too clueless’ (Mount Lady, and Min*ta). He takes things very literally, a good example of this being when Mt Lady told him that girls would die for his smile, and he took it very seriously, to the point where not even under Mr. Smileys quirk he didn't actually smile.
He also struggles ‘reading the room’ and social cues, having in mind the way that he is convinced that he is friends with Bakugou. (He is. Bakugou is just in denial/hj. They definitely care for each other, and they ARE friends. But Todoroki considered him a friend way before Bakugou even considered it).
Says things directly
Todoroki says things with 0 to no hesitation. He is not afraid at all to call people out. He says things like they are, he doesn't sugar code anything. There are many examples of this, like him fighting with the chief of the police, every possible interaction he has had with Endeavor, him saying that he didn’t even notice Hagakure was with him in the USJ, him telling Midoriya that he is objectively better than him and others. Trauma dumping on Midoriya during the sports festival. This might come out as rude sometimes, but he definitely (mostly) doesn't do it with bad intentions.
‘Flat’ facial expressions
Same as his voice, his facial expressions don’t really change, and it could be argued that they don't match his emotions. For example when he froze Sero during their fight in the sports festival, and even though he didn’t really looked angry, he apologises and tells him that he was angry.
Comfort food and being a ‘picky’ eater (term that I don’t personally like, but I’m using to make a point)
Shouto really likes Soba. Especially cold soba. He is seen eating it in the anime, and it is stated in the character profile of the manga’s second volume. He even offers it to Midoriya when he is sad (that was really cute by the way, I do that too. You’re sad? Let me get some chocolate for you!)
It being cold can be because of two things.
Sensory issues about food temperature.
Him not liking boiling water because of what happened with his mother.
Either way, it is canon that he loves cold soba.
Genetic factor
I am not here to do an Endeavor analysis, but ASD is considered to have a genetic factor and Endeavor has some autistic traits as well, including fixated interests, saying things directly, difficulty with volume control, and others.
This is also your friendly reminder that autistic people are NOT saints and can commit crimes, mistakes, abuse etc.
Moving on because I don’t enjoy talking about Endeavor /hj
Low empathy and difficulty reading other people emotions
Just like Bakugou, he struggles identifying and expressing his own emotions, and has difficulty relating to other people's feelings. I think a perfect example of that is his interaction with Iida during the Hero Killer arc. He also stuggled with this a lot after Dabi revealed he was his brother, and he definetly had problems grieving him.
He also doesn't really know how to show empathy, I think that’s why he offered soba to Deku. He didn’t know what else he could do to help and show that he cared. And he is usually looking for solutions rather than offering support.

Stimming
Admittedly, I couldn’t find many examples of stimming in him. But I noticed that he has a tendency to rub his finger when he is thinking.
Special interest
Becoming a hero, and in a way, All Might. I don’t have much proof of this rather than a vibe, but he doesn’t have any other interests or hobbies apart from this (apart from reading manga), which leads me to believe it’s his special interest.
Other details that I want to mention (aka, the headcanon zone)
He is often seen wearing sweaters, which I believe can be a consequence of sensory issues, and he has a very high pain tolerance. He is very observant as well.
I don’t have proof of this, but I headcanon that he is like me, and doesn’t notice that there is something wrong with him unless it’s extreme. I rarely notice that I need to go to the bathroom until I’m about to pee myself. I live constantly dehydrated because I forget to drink water and I don't really get thirsty. And I don’t notice I’m in pain unless it’s pretty extreme.

Random Failtopia thoughts
(Some of these are new, some of these are not, most aren't canon)
"Pyrotechnic" is a perfectly viable ship name for Lanchi.
Orion struggled to differentiate between Slapo's autism and Shrimp's ADHD, hence the brick for a gift.
Bill being the Cat class initially is never explained, but we know he met Chat right before his first onscreen appearance, and they're obsessed with a man in the Cat class, so the dots connect for it to be Chat who convinced Bill to take up the class.
Chi's illiteracy in S1 probably means she didn't know how to spell anyone's name, especially Pirahnyawn's.
Not one person ever questions the massive circles, grey skin, and complete lack of eye contact that make up Bo's face, because Miitopia faces are usually that fucked-up.
The reason the Dark Lord needed a ghost specifically to assassinate Mar was because the Chef himself is a ghost (Dark Curse), and only a ghost can kill another ghost.
Erica studies anatomy regularly in S2, which means she knows that a regular person begins dying at 25, her current age, so it's no wonder she always has death on her mind.
Bo and Rose being immediate family is impossible, but Rose being a descendant of Bo is not, under the assumption that despite not having children herself, Bo's bloodline didn't die with her.
The only three characters to have a canonical dynamic with Slapo are Orion, Mar, and Bo.
All we know about Chat's backstory is that they came from the Otherworld, and are obsessed with Failboat. The only big thing Failboat did in the Otherworld was the S1 final boss fight, which ended in a huge explosion. It's entirely possible that this explosion is what disrupted the Otherworld faces, to the point they formed Chat.
Erica likes to cut things short, but when she's around Bo, she keeps launching into long rambles about how great she is. These are the only times she feels like she can let her thoughts loose, since Bo did just that in the greenhouse by revealing her darkest secret.
On a similar note, Erica's past keeps being thrown back in her face, while Bo can never get her past back, no matter how hard she tries.
Due to Zone having both pink and black appearances, there may or may not be two Zones. That, or Friend's a good enough hat maker to alter Zone's colouring themselves. Considering her passion for his clothing, it's probably the latter.
Were it not for the S2 Greenhorne Arc, Hank would probably have a similar amount of screentime to Slapo.
Marion is a semi-canon ship, by the definition of one party canonically having romantic feelings toward the other, but whether Orion returns Mar's feelings is made comedically unclear.
Chi has inconsistent opinions on spicy food throughout the series, maybe because her fire obsession gets to the point that she has extremely high standards for what's spicy enough.
Rose holds her fan in the specific way she does to hide the mole on her face, something she's grown to hate because it sets her apart from the image of Rosalina.
"Deko" is not his real name, he was probably given Izuku Midoriya at birth, but his new name had to come from somewhere. That place may have been the lab where he was experimented on. The project name may have been along the lines of "DEK-0".
The lab experiment thing also makes it really funny that the only two people he really bonds with are the Scientists of the series.
Shrimp's in-universe fandom could very well be toxic. There are definitely people who are a little too interested in finding out where that 'mysterious' chip on her tooth came from.
Bill is the only character who consistently calls out Chat for their reckless behaviour. In other words, he's the one who moderates Chat.
If Kronkui didn't control who joined the team, TFFM would be down six members (Bob, Smuk, Deko, Rose, Yawn, Joker). TI, on the other hand, would only be down three members (Orion, Failboat, Chat).
Chi gets very protective when enemies are close to her allies in S1, and in parallel, Erica gets very protective when enemies are close to her allies in S2, especially if that ally is Chi.
Despite Failica being everything that they aren't, the first ship ever concocted in Failtopia was Smukle Bob.

here are some of my headcanons detailing what kpop groups some of the 1-a students would listen too!!
also i’m terribly sorry for the inactiveness. got diagnosed with autism and dropped out of uni (i’m so much happier now) and am going to pursue my art dreams.

jirou loves day6! prefers k-rock over k-pop but still knows all the best hits of each year. her expert knowledge mainly focuses on second generation groups. it’s as if she’s been spending years preparing for a pop quiz on this. other artists she likes include the rose, xdinary heroes and rolling quartz. she loves boy groups and girl groups equally.

this man is a stan of snsd. tenya is a very cultured man and generally gives me second gen stan vibes. he truly believes ‘into the new world’ changed the trajectory of his life and had the biggest cultural impact of any piece of media in this century. tenya will write an essay arguing this. he also appreciates exo and shinee! hates superjunior (as he should) but hearing lucifer gets his hips shaking side to side.

momo loves classical and instrumental music (her spotify wrapped is just studio ghibli soundtracks) but she can appreciate the occasional k-pop song. she loves female soloists in particular! think iu, taeyeon, chungha, ailee… she knows how to appreciate beautiful female vocals. also has a strong affinity for k-drama soundtracks. the ones with special idol features - you know what i’m talking about. slow, romantic ballads. shows jirou all her favourite ones (jirou thinks they’r kind of boring but listens just for her girlfriend).

izuku loves bts because of the messages in their songs. he finds their story so inspiring. izuku relates to the fact that they built up their legacy from the ground up with nothing but hard work, and that they were ignored for so long. definitely listens to spring day and young forever when he is sad and just sobs (just like me fr). if you knock on his dorm and ask if he’s okay, he will squeak out a response insisting he’s fine. but you can still hear him sobbing into the pillow during the pauses before the next queued songs play. oh and izuku’s bias is namjoon because of how well spoken and intellectual he is, but he admires all members for their passion. oh and and ochako introduced him to twice!! he loves how cheerful their music is.

now, uraraka has devoted her life to twice. she is a diehard twice fan. but she is poor and her only album was a gift from kirishima and she treasures it. her favourite era was dance the night away and her bias is jihyo (this is so intellectual of her). carries a photocard in her phone case. class 1-a surprise ochako with tickets to see them live on one of her birthdays (they piled up all their money) and she just started floating towards the ceiling in shock. then she cried there

mina is in love with ateez!! she loves to learn their dances and appreciates their high energy. also thinks they are the most beautiful men to grace this earth (this is facts). her bias is yeosang. she knows every choreo and it always looks incredible. for school festivals, mina will gather some of her classmates and force them to learn complicated dance choreo to perform in front of everyone. this year it was o.o by nmixx.

shouto undoubtedly listens to loona and is not afraid of admitting it. it’s like the patrick bateman meme - he walks with zero emotion but hi high is blasting in his headphones. however does not know their names, or at least he cannot put name to face. but yes he knows their whole discography. bought an album once and he was shocked at how many inclusions there were (he was expecting just a cd). eventually discovers the loona universe and fan theories and for a week straight it was all shouto spoke to his friends about. they got so annoyed they blocked the word loona from their social medias temporarily so it wouldn’t set him off on a spiral.

hmm.. katsuki loves dreamcatcher. this man has got superior taste. i feel like katsuki would mainly listen to rock music and hip-hop. so other artists he may appreciate are dean, dpr live and epik high. but sometimes you can hear red velvet coming from his dorm and if you question him about it he will scream at you (if it plays when katsu is drunk you can even catch at a peek at him doing the choreo when he thinks no one is looking).

also a cultured man as kirishima is a fan of twice. he joins the girls when they had ‘girly’ sleepovers and learns the dances from them (this headcanon applies to all their ‘girls night’ sleepovers. kiri makes them so much fun). this is especially fun during award shows, where they all gather around a laptop, eyes wide and glossy as they wait for their favourite groups to hopefully be announced as winners. definitely films the dances on tiktok and also shows them to katsuki later. based on mina’s recommendation, he would probably listen to ateez too!

i sense a neverland. this man is obsessed with (g)-idle. denki has a crush on soyeon (he is me). denki cried when soojin left (i did too) but will take this to his grave. also loves stayc. he most certainly owns a few albums. he prefers girl groups over boy groups because he is a bit of a perv (sorry denki i love you!!). but also because denki believes girl groups have superior music. his most played song of all time is tell me by the wonder girls.

i think we finally found something we have different opinions on because i physically cant see this before izuku's crush realization for me.
i just really like the idea of like when monoma and izuku sorta become buddy buddy with their shared quirk enjoyment Izuku starts to become endeared by the little things (and even the things he used to think were lowkey annoying) that monoma would do when they spend time together.
AND LIKE WHEN 1-A QUESTION"S IZUKU OR SHITS ON MONOMA IZUKU IS LIKE "guys he's actually really sweet" and someone would be like
"no he just has a soft spot for you"
and like,,, he does. monoma like absolutely refuses to admit it but he really does think that izuku is just amazing. better than him in every way. which fuels his inferiority complex but also has this mixed in admiration and it messes with monoma's head SO BAD because hes supposed to hate this boy.
he wants to be around izuku but he wants to run away from his as fast as he can when hes nearby. he wants to love him but it would never work because izuku is thousands of miles ahead of him in everything, so why would he ever look back at monoma? why would he ever choose him out of all people. its impossible, so its better to hate him then to get himself hurt by wishing on a star that doesn't even exist.
and then with Midoriya, he probably thinks that monoma lowkey dislikes him still since he sucks at expressing feelings by anything other then being mean so its like
izuku knows that monoma likes being around him because he keeps spending time with him, but sometimes he's unsure due to the things Monoma says. (AUTISM. and his self image issues lol)
so these two are just in this never ending "he doesn't like me like that" cycle and the hypothetical readers are just like
"FUUUUCCCKKKKKKKK PLEASE JUST TALK ABOUT FEELINGS OR SOMTHING FOR ONE MINUTE I BEG"

~Midoriya Izuku Agere Headcanons~
Here's some Midoriya headcanons that have been living in my head for the last few days! Hope you enjoy🧡 Also there's a lot of caregivers! Class 1A at the end😂
🥦Midoriya's age range is between 4-9, usually sticking at around 4-6
🥦Most of the time he's mostly nonverbal when he's regressed
🥦He discovered age regression in the later years of middle school. In usual Midoriya fashion, he dove into research about it and learned everything he possibly could
🥦He involuntarily regressed for the first time after the sludge villain attack. After that, he regressed pretty often, finding it soothing from the stress of his trauma from the bullying and years of feeling worthless
🥦He also found this helped a lot with the stress and trauma from hero work
🥦 He jumps around and gets really fidgety and breaths heavily when he’s excited
🥦I headcanon him with autism, so he has overstimulation issues that come out when he's regressed, since he often doesn't or can't show it when he's big
🥦He gets overestimated pretty easily and will get very sleepy and cuddly. He has noise canceling headphones that Todoroki always keeps with him just in case Izuku needs them
🥦He has spells where he's reallyyyy talkative as long as he's with someone he trusts, especially if you being up one of his special interests! He'll go on and on, babbling about it to whoever listens!
🥦He takes advantage of his little space to talk about his special interests since he's too shy or has been insulted for talking so much when he's big
🥦Really loves sensory things like stuffies, fidgets, blankets (especially weighted ones!), and oral toys like chewery and (when hes younger) teethers
🥦Lovesss All Might and watches his favorite All Might movies when he's little much like he did when he was a kid. Has All Might toys that he plays with so he doesn't get tempted to play with his collectibles (since he's made that mistake before- His poor $70 All Might figurine...)
🥦Loves physical affection. Literally needs it to survive💚 Since he didn't get much positive physical interaction outside from his mother all growing up, he makes up for it when he's small
🥦Gives so many hugs, and they're sooo nice and cuddly!
🥦 Loves loves lovessss headpats! They makes him feel so little itty bitty!
🥦He really loves cutesy nicknames such as Zuzu, little one, cutie, pumpkin, and honey💚 They make him feel so little and loved
🥦The dekusquad all take care of him when they find out💚 They love him so much and find him the sweetest little thing!
🥦Iida was the only one of the group who knew anything about age regression due to some safety/psychology courses he's taken, but his knowledge was broad and fairly limited
🥦He did a lot of research when Midoriya tells them about his regression, wanting to be as educated as possible on the subject for Midoriya
🥦He's very strict and always sets the rules for baby Izuku, such as bedtimes and controlling sugar intake, but he's pretty weak to Izuku's puppy dog eyes, so he'll lighten up on the rules sometimes
🥦Tsu doesn't tend to take care of Izuku much unless she's with Uraraka or the rest of the group, since she doesn't feel she does very good with kids
🥦Uraraka on the other hand absolutely loves baby Izuku and spoils the heck out of him
🥦She doesn't buy him things since she doesn't have much money, but she gives him lotsss of hugs and cuddles and is practically at his beck and call, getting him anything he wants or needs, like his toys, a snack, or whatever else
🥦Todoroki is Midoriya's main caregiver. He didn't know anything about the subject until Deku told him about it, but he was very open minded and was quick to offer to take care of his boyfriend (I ship tododeku sorry not sorry)
🥦The rest of the class found out after he involuntarily regressed in the middle of hero training when he was triggered
🥦Everyone absolutely loves and coddles him when he's small. The entire class loves him and takes care of him in some sort of way
🥦Lots of homemade little snacks from Koda and Satou!
🥦The bestest hugs from Shoji💚
🥦Presents from Mina, Momo, Hagakure, and Aayoma (though Aayoma doesn't quite get the idea, he has the heart💚 Even if his gifts are a little... odd)
🥦Lots of great kiddo music from Jirou!
🥦Kaminari, Kirishima, Ojiro, Sero, and Tokoyami (Dark Shadow) all play games with him! Board, video, and active varieties! Though Todoyami usually sits out for the active games like hide and seek and tickle tag
🥦And Bakugou... Well, hes Bakugou💚 He's jealous at first, since Midoriya gets so much love and attention from everyone while he hides his own regression, but he shows his love in his own special way. He always cleans Deku's little gear with his own when he can get his hands on them (and any other regressors' things in their class), leaves out snacks and food for him, and takes care not to be too aggressive or loud around the greenette when he's little, always conscious of his stimulation issues
🥦Though if anyone ever points out Bakugou's behavior (namely a certain redhead), he'll forever deny it because Katsuki Bakugou is not soft, thank you
🥦But Midoriya notices, and he loves him for it, and hopes maybe one day he can have a playmate if Bakugou's ever that comfortable with him

MHA Headcanons
Note: these are just my theories about the lives and minds of a handful of characters based on how I perceive them (and also me projecting, so pardon). Mentions of neurodivergence, mental illness, chronic pain
Shoto Todoroki is on the Autism Spectrum with high masking tendencies. People who aren’t immediately taken back my his looks tend to notice that he’s a bit odd without registering the fact that he’s autistic. While in the classroom/school or on the field, he finds it easier to meet peoples social expectations of him. Outside of those environments, Shoto is less likely to put effort into masking behaviors associated with his autism; especially around friends.
Izuku Midorya experiences chronic pain and flare ups from the intense and persistent trauma and injuries. He tends to conceal his symptoms and gets a little huffy when people ask him if he’s okay or feel the need to tell him that he doesn’t look too great. All-Might feels immense guilt this, and fears that he hasn’t been the best influence when it comes to self care as he too has pushed his body beyond its limitations trying to fill the shoes of his predecessors and cultivate a sense of national security. He tries to compensate by doting over Midoriya. He eases Izuku into regular physical therapy, he scrolls the internet to find recipes to make him special meals to reduce inflammation, he makes him drink medicinal teas and take vitamins and supplements to ease his pain and reduce the frequency of his flares; but there is no cure all, and sometimes, Izuku still finds himself in pain most find incomprehensible. These days are hard, but All-Might will never allow him to suffer alone or in silence so long as he is there.
Bakugo has NPD and is aware of it, but not necessarily accepting of it. He is aware that the way he treats people is unacceptable. He even feels bad about his behavior; but his primary struggle is in identifying the connections between triggers, thought patterns, and behaviors that lead to his breakdowns, outbursts, and general abuse of others. Kirishima is keener than he let’s Bakugo know. He’s learned a handful of tricks to grounding Katsuki and getting him to reflect on the way he acts and the things he says. Everyone relies on Kirishma when it comes to keeping reigns on Bakugo. Between Kirishima’s patience and gentle nature, and Katsuki having frequent therapy sessions, he’s able to begin addressing his problems and start making progress towards controlling his NPD; and then the League gets him, and All-Might is forced into retirement from the damage he sustained in rescuing him. Katsuki’s guilt and self-loathing begins slowly suffocating him, and when Monama vocalizes his worst fears, he starts drowning in it.

*disclaimer some of these may counterfuck with the canon, my memory's shit rn lol*
Izuku Midoriya: Dad left for America right before he was born, came home every few months for a day or so, but wasn't really around. Was good friends with bakugou (although Inko couldn't stand katsuki's mother) until when they were fourish and bakugou's quirk went to his head and the bullying started. started an allmight fanpage in middle school and still updates every few months
Shoto Todoroki: once after the burn incident endeavor had to go overseas for a hero conference and his brother took fuyumi's lipstick and gave himself a matching scar and fuyumi took a picture and keeps it as her home screen
Ochako Ururaka: her mom cut her hair when she was a kid so she started to get really into hair and wanted to be a hairstylist when she grew up but gave up on the idea when she was 8-ish cause she didn't think it'd make enough money.
Tenya Iida: Honestly the cutest kid ever. Learned to make pancakes with his brother when he was a kid and he's fantastic at it to this day. (cannot cook anything else except mediocre boxed cakes/brownies) ruined his eyesight by stealing his dad's glasses. was diagnosed with adhd/autism shortly after he got his quirk
Tsu: moved a lot until she was eight-ish. somehow has always been an awesome yet terrible influence on her little siblings and is very proud of that. wanted to be a ninja when she was little and continuously threw her stomach up to freak kids out and gross out adults (was not her teacher's favorite but they never punished her to harshly cause she was a straight A's student)
