ive decided to change what im doing for the 400 follower milestone . instead of a line of polls , im going to do something else ;

this weekend only (saturday/sunday) i will take any requests regarding characters from media .

this does NOT include ocs ; this is only characters that are from a widespread media (undertale , hazbin hotel , etc)

at the end of today , i will be turning off the ask box in order to hopefully clear up space for the character requests . it will turn back on friday night so its on for saturday .

once it hits saturday , you can send in any requests you want to see about your favorite characters . on monday , i will shut off the ask box and will continue to have it shut off so i can finish every request gotten to me so far . i cant say when it will turn back on , but i am estimating hopefully two weeks (this time frame because i am getting my wisdom teeth removed next week wednesday , so things might slow for that)

if youre hesitating on a request , i suggest you send it in before the shut off tonight or the shut off monday morning , as ive got 20 requests backed up currently and with the character requests opening for the milestone , itll probably be more which means itll take longer .

the character requests will not be prioritized over other requests , so dont worry about waiting longer for those .

no character requests will be taken before the weekend and theyll still be deleted , so dont send any in now thinking ill still take it . set a reminder .

thank you guys so much for 400 followers . i never thought this blog would even grow to 200 , let alone twice that so quickly ! you guys dont know just how happy this makes me that people enjoy my art so much 🫶

Fic Prompts: Free Day Friday

It's a little follow-up to Mistaken Identity au, as per the poll results!

The first week "home" had been...stifling. The man purporting to be Jak's father wouldn't leave him alone, always checking in on him, making sure he wasn't pulling at the IV, asking him questions he just didn't have the answers to. The one upside was that Damas had finally brought Daxter to see him. Of course, it had been right in the middle of Jak's fourth escape attempt, which may have been calculated. But considering Jak was pretty sure he was going to lose his mind without Daxter, he'd decided to let it go for now.

For the first hour, neither of them had even spoken. They'd just clung to each other in silence, taking solace in the knowledge that they were both alive, and here. Damas had stood to the side, watching, like he always did. He really hadn't given up on this "I think you're my kid" business. And without blurting out everything he knew about time-travel, Jak couldn't exactly prove him wrong. Frankly, even if he did tell Damas exactly why he was wrong -- namely, that Jak had technically only been born five-ish years ago -- Jak didn't think even that would convince him. He'd probably think it was some near-death hallucination Jak had in the desert.

Daxter wanted Jak to play along; let this new city think they were long lost children returning home. Anything was better than rejection and exile! But Jak just...couldn't. First of all, he was a terrible liar. Tess often told him he couldn't bluff his way out of a paper bag. But even more pressing, it just didn't feel right, repaying an act of kindness with one of deception. Besides, what would they do when they found out it was all a mistake? Better not to get comfortable at the outset.

It was, all in all, a difficult position to be in.

"So tell me why your friend there looks like a river-cat, but has human blood," Damas finally interrupted after close to two hours of watching them sign to each other.

"He has wha-"

"I HAVE WHAT?!"

Daxter bristled and leaped down onto the cot. "Whaddya mean my blood is still human?! How did you even figure that out?!"

Damas was entirely too cheerful when he answered, "Oh, nobody knew what you were when we found you, so we did a blood test. Using the wrong medicine could've killed you, after all. The vet called it a day and went home with a migraine once she figured out all your internal organs are identical to a human's. That's probably why you can talk, I suppose."

Sputtered explanations of Daxter's plight -- talking over each other and around each other, one blaming himself and the other refusing to accept it -- took up the next seven minutes while Damas just listened with a stupid grin. Maybe because it was the most Jak had willingly spoken to him since regaining consciousness.

On the bright side, after learning that Daxter was medically still human, Phobos had brought a pair of pants for him. Maybe they were an infant's button-snap trousers, but the buttons made room for his tail and both boys were grateful for it.

After four days of tortuous boredom and the hated IV, they finally let Jak out. No one had returned his clothes -- it figured, couldn't let him have gear that would help him escape -- so he'd had to shuffle out after Phobos in slightly undersized sandals that pinched his toes. Even with Daxter's enthusiastic and highly colorful commentary on the world outside the clinic, Jak hadn't been prepared for the size of the city around them.

He'd expected something like the Slums of Haven. Ramshackle buildings of sheet metal and broken roads surrounding a few locations of importance. The market district outside of the clinic alone could have fit all of Dead Town quite comfortably, and according to Daxter that was only a quarter of Spargus's true size! Asymmetrical sandstone houses and apartments lined city walls and a network of well-kept walking paths in a variety of levels, many with baskets of colorful fruits, or racks of laundry drying on landings high above the street.

Jak had immediately wandered away from Damas and Phobos, just trying to take it all in. The air was clear -- hot, but clean and free of smog -- and tasted of salt. A child collided with him, bounced off, and continued running as other children gave chase with shrieks of laughter. Jak had never seen kids playing in the street before. Where were the guards? The soldiers? Everyone outside walked with heads held high, calling out greetings, haggling over prices. The marketplace thrummed with life and color and sound, almost overwhelming in its intensity. Haven seemed like a ghost town by comparison!

Jak strayed between vendors' stalls, trailing his fingers along split-rail counters and sturdy awning poles. Daxter leaned eagerly over his shoulder, pointing out all the ammunition and daggers and armor being made. There were piles of metal gems being weighed on scales, traded back and forth, even being set into weapons! City of the hunter indeed. It looked like everyone had gems of their own to pay with. Daxter even swore up and down he'd seen an eight year old with a handful of metalbug gems buying a satchel of seeds!

"Oye! Don't wander off like that, kid!"

Phobos caught him two streets over, peering at a rack of creepy gas masks. She sounded more amused the annoyed, at least.

"See something you like?"

"This place is so crowded." Jak shaded his eyes and tried to guess how many of the people around him were warriors.

Phobos snorted and jostled his arm with a friendly elbow. "This is nothing. You should see the Arena!"

Arena? Like a stadium? The possibility of racing piqued Jak's interest, and he and Daxter exchanged eager glances.

"What's the Arena?" Daxter asked.

It was fairly hard to miss, as it turned out. Phobos pointed them towards a structure built into what looked like a caldera, just north of the market.

"There, that's the Arena: gathering place, courtroom, race track, stage and morgue, all in one!"

Daxter blanched. "What was that about a morgue?!"

Phobos shrugged. "It's built over lava, kid. Citizen candidates have to prove they can survive volcanic activity -- and Marauders, and- well, most desert life, really -- before we let them leave the city. If they don't take it seriously enough: whoosh! Crematorium."

"....ah." Daxter cringed and slid down Jak's back until only his ears were visible over Jak's shoulder. "Hence the age restrictions."

"Hence the age restrictions," Phobos agreed. She gave Jak a little shove. "Hey, if you want to get a look at it, one of our veteran hunters managed to trap a couple metaljackets recently. The Warriors' Guild is giving a demonstration for civ candidates and younger rookies this afternoon. Kind of a "here's what you can be if you don't slack off" thing."

"Ugh. Metaljackets." Jak rolled his eyes. "Not as annoying as Stingerheads, but they're up there."

He paused.

"Do you even have Stingerheads out here? Those stupid things drive me crazy."

"Well..." with a slightly chagrined look, Phobos tiptoed to wave down a slightly dismayed looking Damas, who was apparently questioning some baffled shopkeepers as to their whereabouts.

"I mean. We used to. But then we found out that Leapers really will eat anything they can fit in their mouth. We don't have a Stingerhead problem anymore."

Phobos shooed Jak over to the now relieved Damas. "Go on, I've got work to do. You guys, I dunno, bond or something. Take Jak to see the metaljacket exhibition."

Of course, in the clarity of hindsight, she would regret the suggestion.

There were still a few hours before the event was scheduled to take place, but there were already some people camped out to get front row seats. Damas didn't seem to think that this was a particularly wise strategy, commenting as he led the boys past the stands that the campers would likely run through most of the water they had on-hand while waiting. He paused when he noticed that one of the "campers" was an old man, stretched out on the benches and snoring softly.

"Well. Peat excluded. That guy just kind of does what he wants and manages to survive anyway." Damas tugged at his lip. "Honestly, nobody's really sure how. I mean, the man ate a cobra once because he said if it bites you, biting it back cancels out the venom."

"Does it?" asked Jak.

Damas’s head whipped around to fix wide eyes on Jak. "No! No, absolutely not! He was in the healing ward for days! But he managed not to need the foot amputated and ate the rest of the snake anyway."

Daxter gagged and Jak laughed. "I wanna meet that guy."

Rightly, Damas had a bad feeling about that.

When the exhibition did begin, Jak was a little disappointed. Sure, the long gunstaffs used to keep the metalheads back were cool, but he couldn't see the weapons' details well from the box where Damas usually sat. He leaned over the rail, squinting as one woman used her staff to vault into the air and slash a metaljacket back down to the ground. Daxter, long since grown bored, was scanning the rest of the stadium. Abruptly, he sat up and smacked Jak's arm.

"Hey lookit! It's a Precursor orb!" He pointed to a familiar shape lying on an awning halfway down the Arena walls. "Somebody must've dropped it! I bet we could get that later, huh Jak?"

Daxter looked around.

"...Jak?"

All Jak had heard was "Precursor orb" and the old childhood habits came flooding back. Without a second thought, he slipped over the railing the moment Damas’s back was turned. The metal was almost blisteringly hot, but he ignored it as he climbed down footholds that should have been too small for a human. Getting the orb without falling into the Arena would be tricky, but not impossible. He just had to watch his balance.

Up in the observation balcony, Damas was a little more focused on catching up on some paperwork than on the exhibition below. He tuned out the ottsel-boy muttering in alarm about...something...in order to review a new infrastructure proposal. The faster he got this done, the more time he would have to get to know Jak.

He heard some cries of alarm down below, but ignored them. The rookies would realize soon enough that the Guild had everything under control.

"Hey boss?"

"What, Kleiver?" Damas didn't even spare a glance at his talk-box.

"Er...ain't that your brat, climbing into the Arena?"

"What are you talking about? Jak's right-"

Damas finally looked up.

"...here?"

He dropped the datapad and leapt to his feet. "Oh don't tell me-"

A quick scan of the ring confirmed his suspicions and before he could stop himself he burst out, "JAK! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!"

Jak paused and looked up at him from where he was leaning over the awning, orb in hand. He looked down at the orb, frowned, and looked back up at Damas.

"Is...that a trick question?"

"Get back up here before you fall and break your neck!" Damas yelled, gripping the balcony edge with white knuckles.

Behind him, Daxter sighed and shook his head. "Welcome to my world, Spikes," he said sympathetically, "welcome to my world."

Poll at the end

Soap gave Ghost a cup of black coffee from the cafeteria. It didn’t look that good, but he’d drink it.

Ghost shifted and Soap settled into his side. “Hate hospitals.”

“They’re not my favorite either.”

Ghost grabbed his hand and gently rubbed circles into it. The nurse told them a while ago that Jason was sleeping off drugs from surgery. He was doing fine, as fine as one could with a gunshot at least, but he was breathing.

“Can’t believe this all started because I had a crush on my barista. He was the one that dragged me into the coffeeshop.” Ghost stroked his inner wrist, tracing his veins.

Soap hesitated. “Your friends seem really concerned about something. I want to know what they’re worrying about.”

Ghost sighed. “My little… incident.”

He didn’t want to talk about this.

He had to though. Didn’t he? He had been avoiding it for weeks.

“Tried to kill myself.”

Soap flinched. Those pretty blue eyes went wide.

“It’s complicated. I got high on some underground stuff. Specifically for dragons. Works a bit like weed I’m told but that’s not how it went for me. Then I was in my bathroom and it didn’t seem like a bad idea.

Then a few days passed. Knew I was sober. And I still wanted to. So I did. Price found me. Said he had never seen someone so pale.”

“Bad trip?”

“No. Good trip. Just made me realize how fucking miserable I was. I thought of my life. Where I was. How many people I buried. And part of me gave up. Stayed down. I’ve pushed forward my whole life, but suddenly I just couldn’t.” Ghost drank the coffee. “You’re sweet, Soap. Really are. But you’ve seen the scars. I’m sure you can piece together some awful things happened to me. Then I came home and more awful things happened.”

“When I said those things…”

Ghost laughed. “Jesus, Johnny. I got upset. Made some questionable decisions. But I didn’t plan on bleeding myself dry any time soon. It’s been hard convincing all of them of this.”

Soap nodded. “I can imagine.” His fingers were warm as they pressed against his wrist. For a moment, Ghost though he was feeling for scarring before those fingertips settled right on his pulse.

“I’m alive, Johnny. And I’m right here.” Simon softened.

Soap shook his head. “I’m sorry. I-”

Ghost yanked his wrist away. “No. None of that. I don’t want apologies from you. I wish everyone would just move on. I keep giving people time and they just don’t move on.”

Soap nodded and looked down at his hands.

They sat in silence for a long while before a nurse let them know that Jason had woken back up.

Ghost stalked forward quickly, the world finally started to feel right again.

Jason smiled and sat up. “Did it work?”

Ghost stepped to the side to show him Soap. Jason immediately brightened.

“Nice to formally meet you, Soap.” He grinned. Dumb and toothy. Just like his best friend.

“Jason. Very nice to finally get to know you.” Soap grabbed a chair.

The two got on like a house on fire. Both of them had a lot in common.

Ghost felt himself falling into his normal silence, watching the two of them. Jason looked pale, but definitely alive. There was an IV pumping who knows what into his body and he noticed Jason hitting the morphine button every three minutes. One minute longer than the minimum. Smart. He did have an addicting personality. Better to try to wait as long as he could with the pain management. If he got addicted, Ghost would have to watch him. Make sure he stayed alive and not overdosing.

Jason hummed. “Simon. You’re doing it again.”

“Hmm?”

“Thinking super hard. You tend to go in spirals.” Jason smiled before looking at Soap. “If you see him scrunching up his mouth and looking distant, that’s why. Dangerous to let his thoughts wander.”

“So I’ve heard.”

Soap was getting all types of intel on Ghost. It made him nervous. He hoped no one else gave him any more information.

The universe was against him. He knew that once any of the other guys got around Soap, they would spill everything. It used to scare him. Being known.

But it felt okay, right now.

Jason told Soap a few stories from their childhood, mostly talking about Simon’s partying days. It felt like when he was a teen and his mom told his crushes stories about when he was a baby.

He realized after a minute that’s exactly what it was. Jason was doing it on purpose. The bastard.

The nurse kicked them out eventually and Soap held Ghost’s hand as they walked. They fell in step with each other and Soap kissed his hand a few times.

“Wayne.”

“What about him?”

“What do we plan on doing with him?” Ghost asked. “If you wanted, we could get him out of jail. Thought maybe you’d want face to face confrontation. Or I could snipe him for you.”

“I’ll think about it.”

hey!! sorry im taking so long to start either of the polls, i was sick for a little while but some other things came up as well, which has made it hard for me to properly plan a whole competition (they take more work then i remembered!!)

i want to write a description for each polycule in the self indulgent one since theres no submissions i could take propaganda from, that plus finding good images takes quite a bit of work that i cant put in right now. But im not quitting!! It might just take me another week or two before i can start.

I debated for a while on whether or not to make a post explaining but (after many years of trying) i was finally able to get an appointment w a psychologist! its next week, im not sure how its gonna go, ive had amazing experiences w therapy as well as some shitty ones, so meeting a new therapist is always terrifying which means my anxiety is through the roof and unfortunately the polls moved down on my priority list because of that. But this is a good thing!! It's vrry hard to get an appointment using our universal healthcare system where i live so this is rlly good news to me!!

The normalization of sexualization in flicker :3

i know i made an entire poll about this more than a week ago but i genuinely didnt know where to start- anyway now ive cleared my thoughts so #1. What's with the flirting?? These days, its increasingly common to go into a round of flicker (specifically anonymous in my case but ive heard that it happens even in custom) and one of the players drops a note thats extremely sexual and frankly vile. If you pick a male character or get a masculine presenting character the chances of this note being targetted at you increases tenfold. I have had numerous friends who primarily pick male get harassed constantly by other characters, and theyve told me how terrible it made them feel. These messages also find their way into journals, with many having something to the extent of "Thiago's pretty cute.. flushed emoji" or whatever. Of course, this example is much more tame compared to the traumatizing messages I have seen but I really dont want to type all of that godawful stuff out. Even I have experienced some of this, and i usually pick female/nb. The problem is, when one of these notes drop, or when someone writes a dirty fanfic about actual current players in the game, all we get is an "AYO??" or even if we're lucky that person gets silently voted out whenever possible. We need to address these issues before they get out of hand. Flicker is not the place to send these notes. These people aren't consenting to these messages. This is a clear violation of the consent of so many unsuspecting flicker players and its disgusting that it is so normalized that you can see a screenshot of this and think about a ship or find it funny. This is a problem. #2. Literal dating while the game is IN PROCESS This more falls in the line of teaming, but nonetheless it still supports the normalization of sexual content and harassment in flicker. Like it is common to see a dropped note, it is also common (though to a lesser extent) to see people calling each other something along the lines of "Pookie". This may be harmless at first glance, but not only does it distract two or more people from the entire game that is attempting to be played but it serves as an example for the impressionable audience of flicker. TL;DR - Stop making sexual jokes about the characters as there are real fucking people behind those avatars Please add anything you think is important to this conversation as i really think its important to discuss this :3

okay okay okay, going back to my split yolks au (temp name for this awful idea also please read that for context before continuing

also prepare for one hell of a textpost

ive been thinkin bout how split!charlie would... work

like... do I give him another name? cuz he is very different

making sy!slime a zombie hybrid just because i can while we're at it

im leaning towards the name semil? just.... rearranging the letters slime bc yeah

okay, past that stupidness, also i realized how his aging would work bc the federation would probably be figuring out a way to reage him up without waiting another 20+ years to get charlie slimccl back

so, after two weeks or so, they take charlie and test their first age-up thingie. and it works! kinda

now toddler charlie is kid charlie, bout the same traits as the eggs and no long baby

he can actually speak english, mildly knows spanish, relies on communicator for portuguese and french

the islanders ig tell him that theyve been taking care of him, he vaguely remembers, calls everyone aunts & uncles like the eggs (except he maybe calls mike big bro :))

and here's where my idea splits. either

a. they attempt to turn charlie back into his original state... which means also attempting to give him back the childhood trauma he had

b. turning him into a federation sleeper agent/full on federation brain wash

the former haas much more angst, since im gonna incorporate a pinch of scu 100 days and maybe a touch of godcicle if i feel up to it? also gonna add a dash of even more childhood trauma :)

Im not that same anon, but i will say the way you jokingly talk like a taekooker can sometimes be triggering and hurtful to people like me who really love jimin and thought they curated their spaces to jimin focused accounts. Ive even seen taekookers use your blog posts in their arguments bullying jimin.

I’ve followed you long enough to know you’re being sarcastic but i do get sometimes triggered by how you try to prove Taekook in the exact way Taekookers do, a joke or not. but that’s our problem and you’re allowed to say whatever you want, and we can obviously unfollow you. Just adding my perspective.

- Allow me to give a honest opinion. I won't say you're a tkkr or anything because i know you're a ex jkkr and you don't ship jm with anyone. But from the way you write it definitely seems like you have alot of pent up anger towards jk and tae individually as well as together and that definitely reflects more into your writing when it involves those two. I think it's because you're an ex jkkr so it might be because feels betrayed by both of them on jm's behalf, like their behaviour towards him etc. Yes i myself recent the two guys the most and don't think they're worthy of jm's friendship too. Idk how long you have been on this blog but since the time i have followed you if i didn't know better i would think you're a jkkrs' hater more than of Tkkrs. It's one thing to to recent shippers it's another thing to turn it more towards just one group of shippers that is jkkrs. I remember you saying something like you felt betrayed or something about ITS tk talk cause even tho they said they're awkward it didn't show in their actions or something along that so i think you hate them both alot.

Well, that I understand because taekook as a ship used to bother me just as much. It was annoying and sometimes it still is, tho it's become more of a dislike towards them as people rather than the ship itself.

In late 2019, there was some random poll in some irrelevant online magazine (like soompi and stuff) about "which member is the closest to Jungkook?". Jin won. Army voted for Jin and not Jimin, who was without a doubt the closest to Jungkook that year. At that time, things like that also bothered me and made me sad. Now, I guess it's been so long since I got over it and it's a joke. Besides, I understood that most of the information army picked up on was coming from the members themselves, and I couldn't spend a lifetime getting angry about things Taehyung, Jungkook and even Jimin himself weren't going to change.

That vminkook live in November 2021? Watching some parts of it felt terrible. I got over it quick, but at the time I didn't like it. A lot of taekook stuff bothered me, but what is anyone going to do about it lol. And I learned that, and I accepted it. Jimin literally posted taekook with their faces smashed together on his Instagram some weeks ago and pjms were laughing and rejoicing about him giving something to taekookers.

Yeah but the thing is, I'm not trying to prove taekook lmao. I'm just making fun of the way shippers in general talk. Like, it would've meant the world to jikookers if it was Jimin with bam, right? They actually spent a lot of time trying to prove that Jimin is with bam often, but because it's Taehyung that has actual proof of spending time with Bam at Jungkook's house, they get annoyed at it and talk about conspiracy theories. Or ignore it. Now, Bam it's irrelevant. But if it had been Jimin, they would've also said the same thing I said about Taehyung spending time at Jungkook's.

And that's the whole point... call it satire if you will.

Before this discussion started, I was going through my blog, right. I reblogged some old posts. Remember when Jimin went to NYC and he wore shorts and jikookers were making viral sex jokes about how he'd shaved for Jungkook (Jimin is clean shaven in every BTS content btw, and so are the other members). Well, while going through my posts I saw this one where I said Jimin shaved and moistuzed his legs for Eunwoo like...

That stuff sounds out of pocket to me, and I will make fun of it. if people are missing the joke it's really not me. Or maybe they haven't been in shipper spaces as much as I have been. I'm sorry if I come across as too convincing??

Mind you, there were people who got angry because I talked about minimoni, or even about Saeon and Eunwoo. Someone literally came up once and told me that liking minimoni was weird because Namjoon talked about Jimin in a creepy and predatory way. Some people are just deranged, and I know that.

I honestly have no respect left for jikookers after face, or rather after this year, the way I have no respect for taekookers. They've become an easy punching bag with how delusional they were since 2021, and most of my jokes are me just saying the same things they say about jikook, but using it for different ships because it's all so ridiculous. And the most delusional ones are always Jungkook biased jikookers who thought Jimin was undeserving of support and talk about the two of them like Jimin is the lesser one in talents, ambition, or achievements.

ive been tracking my progress via my twitter display name but i'm actually making much quicker headway on formatting the composition PDF than i thought i would... it should definitely be finished and up for everyone to see within a week. according to the results of my patreon poll the next tutorial is gonna be on markmaking. that one will probably be a bit shorter.

its going to take me a little bit to figure out how to best approach it but i'm excited for that one because it'll be jumping off of an idea for tutorials i started working on over two years ago, which is art tutorials specifically designed for learning to draw from the ground up as a hobbyist artist. basically cutting away all of the difficult technical practice that's really not necessary when you're just doing it for fun and focusing more on the mechanical act of drawing and developing personal style and taste without a concern for technical correctness.

i feel like it's a missing niche around art tutorials. pretty much anything geared at beginners covers technical fundamentals and pretty much anything that covers the more fun stuff about drawing always assumes you have a certain level of comfort with drawing already. but like idk man some people just want to draw their ocs or anime faves or whatever and never give a damn about having to learn what chiaroscuro or contrapposto or vanishing points are. anyway i hope you will all read this pdf when i am done formatting it it is very long
