Hey Deltarune Fandom

I know its 3am as I wright this but I think I found something online that might be important- or at least, be something to consider- food for thought and all that jazz-

you see, I was scrolling thought reddit when I came upon a particular post...

it starts of seeming very normal, right? I mean, it's just your average detarune fan asking about equipment advice, right?

but.. somethings... off, to say the least......

Not only is the wording weird when talking about Spamton, (with the phrasing of "Spamton dude" being particularly odd, as to get to Spamton's shop, you need to get fairly familiar with him and his character, but this user seems to be acting like this is their first time meeting him.) But Spamton HIMSELF seems to look... Different than usual. Or, at lease, different than his usual shop sprite that is...

and I was not alone on this sentiment, as the comments noticed too!

D-.... Didn't have the money? But, deltarune is free game? Or, at least, Chapter's 1 and 2 are...

you see, a while back, Toby mention online that Chapters 3, 4, and 5 would all be released together, and, unlike the first two, cost money. (or as a certain salesman would phrase it, cost some [[Sweet, Sweet KROMER]]!!!)

Not only that, but its kinda ironic that this user pirated a copy of a free game, and have the one character who has a history with shady links (or in other words, [[Hyperlink Blocked]]) be the one who's changed... Almost as if this bootleg game has its own bootleg of Spamton... The one character who literally tries to be a bootleg of ANOTHER character in-universe. *Cough cough* Swatch- *Cough cough*

But this also leads to question... are there any other differences in the game? I mean, it is a pirated game, surely there has to be some other differences from the original game other than some seemingly random shop sprite of spamton, right?

I went to check the profile and, just as ThePotatoPerson510 had said,

(Note: the previous image in this post of the spamton post says it was made 10 hours ago. This time gap is because I have been writing this post for 2 hours straight now- coming onto 3 hours- as such, I give you this screenshot showing both the post and the profile, and thus, showing they were in fact made in the same hour-)

MID WRIGHTING UPDATE: It seems as if there WAS a time gap between the two post, as its 5:24am and I just took THIS screenshot showing the time gap. Take this how you will I suppose ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Now, about the name... It seem kinda... on the nose, to say the least. I mean, Toby, Tobias, seems a little to similar, right? But, at the same time, knowing Toby, he would be the type to use a seemingly obvious while still not TOO obvious name to fuck with us (he DOSE have a history with being a troll when it comes to his games ¬_¬||)

Also, looking back at the spamton image and comparing it to the name "Tobias", they both share one thing in common... They're both SIMILAR to their originals, to the point where you can tell what they're based off of, but, somewhat off...

As for the one other post on the account, well...

Well, that's... anticlimactic..... Sooo.... Is this just some random account then? Was all of this just for nothing? Was it all red hearings in the end? Well, that's what I thought..

For you see, I realized something....

Toby Fox is a well-known fan of anime, but, not just any anime.... specifically, JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE. How do we know this? Well, in undertale, there is an item in the game called a Punch Card

When this card is used in battle, it says, "OOOORAAAAA!!! You rip up the punch card! Your hands are burning!" This increases your attack. "ORA" Is a common phrase screamed in JOJO' when one of the Jostar's are attacking.

Not only that, but in deltarune, main antagonist of chapter 2 is Queen.

Killer Queen is the stand of Yoshikage Kira. The main antagonist of JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE: Diamond is Unbreakable. Which is the 4th Chapter of the series.

So, what dose ALL of this have to do with the video "Tobias" commented on? Well, you see, in JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE: Stardust Crusaders, when Polnareff, one of the main protagonist, tries to walk up the stairs to face DIO, the main antagonist, he finds himself in the same loop as the man in the video. Continuously walking up the same set of stares, unable to reach the end.

Meaning, the video that "Tobias", or, as we presume, Toby commented on was in fact...

A JOJO REFFERANCE, AND THUS, MAKES PERFICT SENCE AS TO WHY HE WOULD COMMENT ON IT

...... And so with that last tidbit out of the way, we are left with 3 conclusions that we can come to... 1. This "Tobias" is actually Toby Fox teasing us about Chapter 3 and or some other upcoming scheme of his he has up his sleaves.

2. This "Tobias" is actually Toby Fox just fucking with us

and 3. This is some third party not affiliated with Toby but still making something and teasing it (possibly and ARG or something of sorts) .... That or I've just spent over 3 hours of my life typing this up only for it to be a shitpost by Temmie or something :/

either way its 6:41am as I type this and I have not slept all night so I hope you liked this deep dive analysis into this possibly important reddit account that could hold significant lore for the upcoming chapters of deltarune and if you'll excuse me I'm going to go collapse on my couch for the rest of the day :) have a wonderful time zone <3

It's all fun and games until Hardy reminds everyone he is an undead eldritch horror

She put Daisy's remark about "true love's promise" out of her head for the next few days, pushing hard against the case; against Katie Harford and her stupid certainty; against Tom and his stupid certainty; against Hardy himself, although that was about as effective as punching a brick wall. Besides, he was looking bedraggled enough without her nagging.

It was a different sort of bedraggled than she'd seen during the Latimer case, or Sandbrook. There was none of the stretched-thin-ness, as though he were about to give out at a moment's notice. Now it was a coiling sort of tension in his movements, as though he were waiting for the chance to strike. It might have bothered her once; but sat across the table from Leo Humphries as he proudly recalled all the women he'd terrorised, the brutality he'd forced on young Michael Lucas, she was almost impatient for it to start.

And then it did.

"Makes you feel in control," Humphries said, smiling and serene. Ellie watched him closely and hardly noticed the room darkening, as though the lights had been submerged. The shushing pulse of the sea, never far off, grew louder. "For that moment, there's nothing else. Just you in charge. There's a moment where you're in harmony with the world, and it's just… beautiful."

"It is, isn't it," said Hardy. Ellie'd been focused on Humphries throughout the interview, his lawyer and Hardy on the edges of her vision, so it wasn't until the lawyer gasped that she realised something was wrong. She looked over at Hardy, who—

But he wasn't a who, in that moment. The thing next to her shifted and pulled at Hardy's bones from within, skin stretched and sagging in ways no living creature could withstand. And then it stood up, taller than Hardy; taller than the ever-shrinking room, stooped and looming.

"Power over someone, it's such a pleasure," it hissed. The cups of half-drunk water began to bubble and seethe; the recorder made a ghastly hissing noise and sparked out. "Someone pathetic and helpless, who can't even scream for help."

The lawyer made a dive for the door but Hardy was too quick for Humphries, arms twisting as they stretched across the room to pin him into a corner with one blue-grey hand clapped over his mouth, its fingers blackened with rot.

"But there's greater pleasures than that, Leo Humphries," said Hardy, through a mouth ruined and twisted, the jaw hanging at an unnatural angle. (Not unnatural, of course — nothing more natural than than a corpse.) "You can have all of them. I'll show you every one. Do you want that, Leo Humphries? Just ask me."

The hand lifted away and Humphries collapsed to the ground. "Please," he babbled, trying to crawl still further away, though there was nowhere left to go. "Please, please, no—"

Ellie was on her feet, grabbing at the thing beside her; even as she did she wondered why. What she could possibly do? Did she even want to? Wasn't this what she'd imagined — the rapist forced to endure horrors, fear and pain, with no hope of escape.

But instead it was Hardy who pulled himself back. Slowly, like the receding of the tide, the room expanded and lightened until it was real again. Ellie now held handfuls of cheap suit jacket, and Hardy's form contracted and folded in on itself until he looked almost, very nearly, human.

The door, still open from when the lawyer had escaped, fell off its hinges and landed with a clatter on the floor.

"You just had to ask," Hardy said, as Humphries shivered in the corner.

It was well past dawn by the time the paperwork was done. IT assured her that the confession had been recorded, even if there'd been a glitch toward the end of the interview that fried the device. The accused had been remanded to custody and his lawyer had requested a transfer — she was moving to be nearer her mum and dad, she said, in Northumberland. "I don't think I'll ever be back here," she said, her smile waxy and fixed. "Not ever. My firm will be in touch to provide him with new counsel."

Ellie finally left the station with enough time to get home and help the boys get ready for school, before going over to Trish's and telling her the news. Instead she sat down on the front steps, breathing carefully in and out and trying not to cry, or vomit, or scream.

He followed her, of course he did. Was she supposed to be afraid of him now? She'd been afraid of people before, even with her badge and her taser. For the past few years she'd been afraid of her own husband, though not as afraid as she'd been of herself. But as Hardy came closer she felt her heart unclench, the furious grief in her stomach dissolve.

"Ed Burnett's gone," he said. "And Jim Atwood." He paused; she could picture him now, looking down at her. "You okay?"

What a question. "No."

Hardy sat beside her, uncomfortable and comforting. "We have him now. That footage will send him down."

He was right; even if the confession didn't hold, even if Michael tried to change his story, those horrific videos had a solid chain of custody. Leo Humphries would stay in prison a long time.

Not long enough.

"He is not what men are," Hardy said. "He's an aberration."

"Is that what you are?" she asked, finally looking at him. "In there. Was that the real you?"

He didn't seem angry or offended. "It's all the real me, Miller."

"Is that why you told me about the iron and the wood and the ashes and everything?" She curled further into herself. "So if you go too far, I can—"

"I'd hope you'd arrest me first," he said. "Or at least talk to the Chief Super." When she didn't say anything, he shook his head. "It's my responsibility to not go too far, Miller. Not yours or anyone else's. Just mine."

"Then why tell me?"

"Because I trust you," Hardy said, as though it were simple as that.

Perhaps it was.

She untucked her hand from under her arm. He didn't move away as she put her hand to his jaw; the skin was cool and damp, as though he'd been standing too close to the spray of the ocean. "I don't know if you should," she said, holding back a shiver. It was too cold for June. Hardy's doing, maybe. Summers before him had been warm and grey, full of lazy mornings on the beach interrupted by a friendly pattering of rain. But there wasn't a cloud in the sky today. "I don't know if I'm worth it."

"You are," Hardy said, his voice low and soft, barely louder than the wind. The stubble on his cheek rasped against her palm.

Ellie shook her head. "I would've let you kill him. I think I even wanted it." She let her hand drop. "But I trust you, too." It felt like a confession. Or a promise.

You have a lot of thoughts about the topic, so what ideas/suggestions/other input (if any) do you have for an Omori rewrite?

Ideas? I have way too many. I've outlined some of them here and here (in a very disorganized manner), but I've thought up a lot of new ideas since then. I recommend to check the linked posts first, but I'll try my best to recap some of the ideas from the posts I've linked in this post, if you don't mind!

Long and most likely incoherent rant incoming.

1) Make Mari actually kill herself, of course. I really did like the game's initial premise of this young kid and his friends trying to deal with the loss of a beloved relative/friend before The Twist, so I'd cut The Twist and try to keep the story straightforward in that aspect. Perhaps that could've made Sunny a bit more sympathetic since he'd get to be the victim of circumstance the game evidently wanted people to see him as and allowed the story to explore Mari as a full character instead of reducing her to the typical saint for everyone to revere and cry over.

One could try to make the suicide itself the plot twist, though. Maybe the sight of Mari's hanged corpse could've been so incomprehensible to the 12-year-old Sunny he'd just pretend to have never seen it in the first place (his mind would block it out) and instead convince himself that Mari happily left for college with Hero. Maybe Sunny mentioning her to Hero or asking him about her after he comes back would make the latter pause and then change the subject of the conversation in a neat little bit of foreshadowing. Besides, a good chunk of the original game's foreshadowing for its twist already pointed to suicide, so why reinvent the wheel?

I insist on this idea in particular because it's tragic, it's horrifying and, most importantly, it's realistic - it's everything the game strove to be. Realism-induced horror is one of my favorite "genres" of horror, and I think OMORI could've had a great shot at exploiting said trope to its benefit were it not for The Twist.

The biggest problem with that sort of plotline, I think, would be Basil. His importance to the game's story relies on The Twist; without it, he has no reason to be there. I woudn't want to cut him altogether, but I can't think of an organic way to insert him into the "Mari kills herself" plotline either, so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

2) Make Sunny and Mari's home life horrible lmao. I've already talked about it here and in the first linked post, but I'll reiterate myself - you don't grow up into a strict perfectionist or with self-esteem as low as Sunny's (the game very clearly implies Sunny had self-esteem issues even before he killed Mari) by partying at your besties' birthdays and hugging plushies together. Problems like that tend to be caused by a dysfunctional home.

Yes, the "abusive parents" trope is rather overused nowadays, but I'd still consider it somewhat of an improvement over the complete lack of information about Sunny's family pre-Mari's death. I also think it'd have been quite interesting if the game explored how the toxic home environment the two were born into would inform their personalities. That way, the recital argument would be less "why is Mari so mean 2 me 💔" and more the result of their issues boiling over.

Tying into this idea is the next one.

3) Make Black Space a recollection of Sunny's backstory a la Time's Arrow. Long story short, Time's Arrow is an episode of a show called Bojack Horseman that stands out to me due to the way the featured character's trauma is subtly conveyed without sacrificing story - the flashbacks are mostly coherent, but filtered through the character's emotional perception of the events at the time. The best example of this is a formative memory from the character's childhood, in which she sees her father callously throw her beloved toy into the fireplace before warning her to keep her emotions in check and telling her not to cry. The fear she felt at the moment infuenced her memory of the event, represented by the aforementioned fireplace becoming a wall of hellfire.

I think such an approach would've been a great fit for Black Space as well. Not only would this allow the player to get some real insight into what made Sunny the way he is, his memories being filtered through his emotions would allow the game to characterize him (e.g. the sash bars on his house's windows could be made to look like the bars of a prison cell to imply he felt trapped in his own home). This could even allow the game to show us the big argument itself!

4) Make Kel, Aubrey, Basil and Hero characters instead of props for Sunny to interact with. The story should've examined their issues too. Hero and Kel have some workings of interesting conflicts (e.g. Hero's outburst and how it affected Kel, Hero struggling with relating to the friend group only as their "dad", Kel's status as the unfavorite sibling), as do Basil (his parents and the abandonment issues stemming from them, his general relationship with his grandma) and Aubrey (see the second linked post), but none of that is elaborated on by the game in favor of focusing on Sunny and his (w)angst. Delving into their issues would've been way more interesting for me than listening to them go "man I miss my wife Tails Mari ;A;" over and over again, at least.

5) Make the game's timespan longer. 5 or 10 days instead of 3 would allow the game more room to get through the other characters' arcs before shifting focus to Sunny for the finale, I think.

6) Make Faraway Town a bit larger. Make it wackier, too. There's four streets, a church, a park and a supermarket. There's nothing to do in this town at all, which isn't good since it's where the player spends a good chunk of the plot in. The NPCs and their sidequests are equally cookie-cutter - buy a grandma her medication, tutor some kids, play hide-and-seek with the twins...

It'd have been nice if the main story's subject matter was juxtaposed with the sidequests being as batshit insane as realistically possible. "Realistic" doesn't have to mean "boring", IMO. Real life can be fun!

Tying into this idea is the next one.

7) Lock the good ending behind 100% completion of all the Faraway sidequests, probably...? It's one of my weirder ideas, and I don't know whether it'd be feasible since I'm not a game developer lol. But I think the game could've tried to make some sort of point about how Sunny managed to make headway in working on his issues only because he made the effort to socialize with people who weren't his comfortable circle of friends.

I don't know what to do with Headspace. Really. The general concept of a saccharine dream world created to avoid reality is nice on paper, but it's a big tumor on the plot - it contributes next to nothing to the player's understanding of Sunny or his friends and becomes entirely irrelevant halfway through the game. I guess I'd make it shorter?

I procrastinated forever on this ask, sorry. The answer’s kinda sad. But it’s also, like, deeply true and important to me as a person, so.

My mom died at the end of 2013, concluding a truly impressive any% cancer speedrun. Less than 90 days from first symptoms to last. I loved her a lot. It was a bad time.

2014 was the worst year of my life. I became convinced that human consciousness (or at least, my own human consciousness) was not an inherent good. Not an inherent bad, either, just… the nature of the human brain is to want to continue existing, and to be incapable of continuing to exist. It’s not a system that’s designed to function without pain. It’s not a system that’s designed. Consciousness hurts. Being a conscious, physical creature in an unpredictable physical world that has no obligation to make coherent narrative sense hurts.

(I miss my mom. It’s a problem with no solution.)

And then there was this video game. And it had this guy (gender neutral) in it. And this guy was like: you’re so right, bestie. Making sense of existence? That’s a loser’s game. Can’t even get to I think, therefore I am without coming up against some truly gnarly logical conundrums—almost enough to make you wanna invent a big invisible sky-friend who gives you all the answers and reassures you that you’re important and good, right? But that’s stupid. You don’t want to be stupid, do you? You want to be smart. Like me. Smart means you’re better than the people who need happy little answers to all their silly little questions. You don’t need them. You don’t need anybody. That’s the great thing about nothing—it’s so beautifully consistent! When nothing means anything, there are no contradictions. Trying to understand your place in the cosmos—asking the question “I exist; what should I do with that fact?” and expecting to arrive at an actual, functional answer—is a sucker’s game. The only winning move is not to play.

I can’t really explain what it felt like to see my own feelings repeated back to me so clearly, so accurately, and at such length—and for my reaction to my own worldview to be seething fucking hatred. When I started playing The Talos Principle, I was a pessimistic nihilist. I did not perceive myself changing into something different until I was screaming at my keyboard FUCK YOU, my existence has meaning because I CHOOSE to imbue it with meaning and I do not FUCKING CARE if it doesn’t make sense, some things are more important than being flawlessly logically correct and ME HAVING A REASON TO LIVE is ONE OF THEM

(when your internal logic answer to Why should I stay alive? starts out as My life is a precious gift given to me by God and it is not mine to throw away, and then your understanding of the world changes in a way that no longer incorporates an ontologically-existent God, sometimes you wind up with: Why should I stay alive? Answer: ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ And that answer really only works as long as nothing terrible happens. It does not hold up well under stress. When you take god away you do have to put something else in its place, and it’s not easy to find something else that can hold up under the weight.)

Like… it would be an oversimplification to say that The Talos Principle made me want to live again. But it wouldn’t be too much of an oversimplification to say TTP forced me to acknowledge that I didn’t currently have a good reason to want to live, and that felt bad, and I owed it to myself to fix it. And that if I could hate this fucking asshole librarian so so much (because he was me), and still feel so much compassion for him by the end of the game, then maybe I could figure out how to feel compassion for myself, too.

Also I really like the puzzles where the solution is to zwoop around all over the place with fans, those are my favorite

seeing the villainess-like otome game au on @/hourlyhanamura twitter (thank you retrospring anon) has made my brain rumble and started making me (unfortunately) think.

Who would be the villain(ess)!!! It could go both ways!!! It really could!!!

Yosuke is the favourite but not really favourite antagonist—some people like him, some don't

Maybe some things like a romance path with him was cut (HM JUST LIKE. HM.)

And perhaps Yu gets recommended the otome game by a classmate. It's popular, the characters are cute, what more could you ask for

Yu is just like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ "ok guess i'll try it" cuz it's not like he has anything else to do in his free time besides studying, housework and making meals for himself

The game is pretty fun, and it doesn't shove romance into your face every chance it gets. He definitely gets into the rabbit hole after he realises that he's been playing it for a very very long time

As he gets heavily invested into it and the characters, Yu starts crushing on the villainess (yosuke), and wishes that he could be in the game with him/out here in real life with him

idk the crush starts as something small cuz the story could progress and show the villainess as having a sympathetic side/being more than his cold, jerkish and standoffish side except GASP it's choice locked in another character's route, so players might miss it

And then story progresses more, more softer moments with yosuke and that all adds up into a mega fat crush on him

Want to add that almost all the endings of the game are just Yosuke leaving Inaba (Junes does not disappear tho) or being absolutely humiliated and never showing his face ever again. [Sorry yosuke]

Maybe he becomes more like shadow yosuke as the game progresses....

Though that also kind of asks what kind of villain yosuke would be... would he be a calculating cunning type or like cartoonishly evil kind of bullying. i'm kind of leaning towards a mixture of both because a) this image

And b) the protagonist of the game is like. Idk a transfer student. Yosuke is as well, but unlike him, the protag is well-liked and well-received. And he wants that, wants to be liked as well but because of Junes and what it represents to Inaba, he gets none of that.

All he has are harsh glares and murmuring of housewives as they whisper to each other about yet another shop out of business. They really have nothing better to do, but neither does he, out in the god damned countryside.

So he becomes insanely jealous and he decides to be a prick to the protag out of his envy and the mindnumbing dullness of Inaba. He's mean to everyone tbh, but it's more or less a shield to protect himself.

And then in comes Yu, as the newly isekaid or something idk protag.

Despite all of Yosuke's general prickliness and jerkishness towardd him, Yu still showers him with care and affection, something Yosuke hadn't really gotten since... he came to Inaba. It's kind of nice, it's making him happy that someone likes him, but he's also waiting for it to be a huge prank/the other shoe to drop

Because really. Someone actually liking him? Someone making him feel like he's much more than the scourge of Inaba?

There's just no way. Sooner or later, the townsfolk or his classmates will convince him of the Prince of Junes who ruins everything, tell him that Yosuke's such a disappointing person, don't get too close to him if I were you and whatnot.

It's better for Yosuke to push Yu away before he inevitably leaves Yosuke alone.

But Yu continues to stay, continues to lavish him with affection despite there being other, better people to give it to.

Whatever. He'll just secretly bask in it as long as it lasts, until Yu moves on. This definitely doesn't make him stay awake at night, wondering why the popular transfer student would do this.

ON THE OTHER HAND VILLAIN YU

again its similar to if yosuke was the villainess, where he gets recommended a popular otome game and he plays it, and then having a big fat crush on yosuke

Except yknow. Yosuke has his own route instead of his moments being choice-locked in a different route.

Once more the cold and cruel villainess has bad endings, resulting in getting banished or whatever.

Now, Yu gets transported and becomes the villain. He definitely sees this as a chance to lavish all his affection onto Yosuke

This gives Yosuke a crisis because mmmm this guy is pretty much rumoured to be very bad, so why is he so caring??? with me??? why are there butterflies in my stomach.... why is he also such a dork as well i saw him petting twenty cats at once...

In Yosuke's route, he has some pretty low self esteem coupled with comparing himself to the protag and junes

Because the protag is a transfer as well, but they seem to be making themselves at home while he's stuck at the doorbell

I genuinely dont know how to explain this its all in my head and makes perfect sense right now. Maybe its something like JUNES related, ingame reasons and all.

But out of the way protag, Yu is now taking charge of Yosuke's route, regardless of whether he's the villainess or not.

I dont quite see Yu being able to play along with the rumours of the villainess being a ruthless and cruel person. Sure, he might come off as cold to people, but it's his "dont get too involved" mindset that carried over.

It would be funny if some misunderstandings start adding more fuel to the fire.

Torturing cats? No, he was actually feeding them fish. The angle looked really bad to the person.

Mugging an old lady? No, he was actually escorting mrs tatsumi across the road, something which kanji is very appreciative of

Bullying year 1s? Nope. They dropped something and he was trying to give it back to them

But yeah yosuke being unable to get to sleep because he's too busy getting flustered over Yu's actions, and wondering if everyone's got yu wrong or if this is just an act to trick him into letting his guard down.

But then again, what kind of evil person would go out of his way to make him... happy?

A/N: decided to write for different characters from the game and imma try my best upon portraying the boys ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ also, most of the confession dialogues can be seen here.

"Well you stood there with me in the doorway, My hands shake, I'm not usually this way but;"

"Thanks for bringing me back at my dorm, Leona. It's not something the Leona I knew would do on a daily basis but I'm greatly thankful for the small gesture." You spoke, a small smile plastered on your face as the prince felt a tinge of spark, not only on his stomach but also in his heart. Leona let's out a small hum as a way to respond to your words.

It's not the first time Leona felt this way towards this non-magical human whom he thought that he couldn't get along due to his pride and stand off personality. The more he observed you–the way you got along with his fellow peers (Jack & Ruggie), bringing him some tarts and sweets from the 'unbirthday' parties you've attended and how he expresses his annoyance towards you whenever you asked him for help.

Those thoughts of his may not be the best nor being the top of the icing but to him, those thoughts are the reasons why he developed such feelings for you. How come a prince like him fell for a human with no magical abilities. Ruggie knew all about his so-called little crush on you and told him that he must confess his feelings before those heartslabyul peeps might steal you away from him. Those words finally convinced him for you to become his and gathered his last pinch of dignity for him to confess his love for you.

"Well, I'll see you tomorrow. Let me know if Ruggie needs some help in chores back at the dorms." You waved at him good bye and proceeded to make your way inside of the dorm, in which you called home during your time here in twisted wonderland. Before you even step foot on the cold marble floor of the dorm, his hand made its way to your wrist, startling you a bit. He didn't say anything but you noticed how his eyes was directed on the ground, avoiding your gaze. "Leona, is something the matter-"

“Listen, herbivore. I am only going to say this once, so you better listen." Your heart started racing from endless possibilities that could happen on you but instead, his next line of words finally made your heart go faster, the words you hoped that he'll say to you.

Leona took a deep breathe, mentally contemplating wether this is the right choice for him to express on how much he yearned for you. Holding both of your hands against his huge and warm hands, he admitted these feelings that bothered him from the past few months. "It's not something I would admit all the time but I love you. It would mean a lot to me if you'd go on a date with me, just the two of us." He couldn't help but the way your face reddened and heard a small murmur from you. "Couldn't hear ya, sweetcheeks. Speak again, will ya?"

"T-this was unexpected of you but I would love to go out with you!"

"That's good to hear, herbivore but there's only one thing I would like to do." He smirked.

"And that is?"

His arm make its way to your waist as his lips connected into yours, eyes widen from his sudden affection but quickly melted as both of your arms are linked into his neck. From afar, Grim and a certain hyena fist bumped each other as two of their prefects became an item.

"You pull me in and I'm a little more brave. It's the first kiss, it's flawless, really something, it's fearless."

"You took the time to memorize me–my fears, my hopes and dreams. I just like hanging out with you, All the time."

If there's one dream that Idia would like to receive, he wants his first relationship to be with you; his closest friend and dearest player 2. Oh how he imagined to the sweetest acts whenever he fantasized about you–walking alone when everyone in Night Raven College was fast asleep, having matching icons on Magicam, or calling each other stupid yet cheesy nicknames that only the two of you would know.

If he gathered enough courage to face his social anxiety, he, along with his younger brother, would come to class to accompany you and Grim. But due to his crippling anxiety and self-doubt, he stop making his romantic feelings for you quite obvious, in risk of loosing his one and only friend in the school that caused him so much distress. It was painful for him but for the sake of his relationship with you, he'll just endure this painful process of keeping his feelings for you a secret.

His younger brother repeatedly encouraged Idia for him to court and confess his love to you. He didn't said yes but didn't declined his brother's words either. He was in the middle of the lines of yes and no.

How does this goofball fall for you? Well, the reason why is because you knew him as if a list of his likes and dislikes was placed on his head. You knew his boundaries and limits, the reason why he had this anti-social personality and why his video games is his only escape when the outside world becomes too much for him to handle. Idia will never forget on how you rescued him when Kalim and the rest of his peers pressured him on coming with them.

And it didn't take long for his platonic relationship with you had turned into something else, a feeling he didn't felt for a long time due to his fear of interaction; he fell for you hard. He felt like he was in a dating sim where you're the love interest and he was the main character, destined to be a loving couple when he chose the right choices in this small adventure of his.

Just like in the dating sims he played and the romcom animes he watched, he knew that your time as a "single" won't be long when someone else pursued on taking you as their own love interest. He needed to act fast and to his relief, Ortho told him that you gushed about him to Grim, indicating that you also have feelings for him, easing his nervousness.

Or so he thought....

And there he is, inviting you to meet you under the wishing tree at the back of the school during the late hours of night. Idia knows that the tree can increase his chances for you to accept his feelings and this place was your favorite spot to sit whenever you needed some place for you to be alone. He saw you sitting under the tree, waiting for him and didn't notice that his hands are shaking.

Taking a deep breath and remembering the encouraging words his brother told him, he made his way to you and seeing you smile makes his heart all giddy and warm. "I just saw your message and I came here as soon as the clock strikes at midnight. Is there anything you wanna tell me? Do you want someone to listen to your problems in person? Or perhaps the chapter of the new game we played yesterday just released?"

Idia shook his head sideways. ".....T-there's something I need to talk about. J-just this once, I'm gonna be honest with my feelings to you." He gathered every inch of his confidence to hold your hands and stared at your eyes as away to ensure that what he's going to say was all in honesty. His glowing hair started to turn pink, making you giggle wholeheartedly. "...I- um...It's just that- n-no, h-how should I start this-"

He started to doubt himself, thinking that you're going to be annoyed as he waste your time with a shut in like him but no. The way you gripped his hand ensures him that you're a patient and caring person who didn't want to break his fragile and cold lonely heart. "It's okay Idia, just take your time."

He didn't want to use his tablet in this occasion, he didn't want to be a coward in his confession and your sweet smile is all it takes for him to finally spit out these feelings he hid from you since last year. He shut his eyes and spoke with such confidence. "I-I r-really, really like you, (y/n)! You mean s-so much to me and h-having you as my lover was like getting that ultra rare card I've always wanted for so long! But I don't want to tell the truth was because I didn't want you to loose you as m-my closest friend and you're far too important for me to let you go–!!"

His words were cut off as soon as you placed your lips against his. His eyes are full blown from this gesture, tears streaming from his face and his hair color had turned, from the usual sapphire blue into hot pink. Your kiss is all it takes for him to fully accept that his brother was right, you really do like- no, love him as he kissed you back. Underneath the wishing tree where all dreams do indeed come true.

And his dream was none other than his (y/n), his precious player two and his first ever s/o.

"All those times that you didn't leave, it's been occurring to me. I'd like to hang out with you, for my whole life, stay."

"Do you remember, we were sittin' there, by the water? You put your arm around me, for the first time."

The thrill of this heir's love story to the non-magical human to whom he called his one and only beloved. His cheerful and radiant demeanor says all as soon as his eyes saw you many times during your stay here in Night Raven College. No matter how much gold or wealth he took hold in his name, it didn't compare to the happiness you've given him the more you hang out with this bubbly sunshine of a student.

You've gotten along well with the housewarden of scarabia due to his friendly personality and generosity, inviting you to such extravagant parties he hosted in his dorm and ate to your hearts content. And thus mere friendship with the housewarden quickly turned into sweet romance upon recognizing such symptoms of having a crush to the other person; being nervous whenever you're around, giving you trinkets that could cost thousands, even millions of thaumarks and daydreaming about what it's like if you're his lover or better yet, to be married, earning his last name and for him to call you his spouse.

Jamil thought that Kalim's crush towards you was just a simple one. He thought that he'll get it over in less than a week but boy his predictions was wrong. His friend was indeed in love with you and drops subtle hints to see if you liked him back. From simple endearments to holding your hand when the hall becomes too crowded.

Tired of his friend's constant ramble about you, Jamil suggested if he had the guts to confess to you. Kalim was hesitant at first but was determined to show on how much he loves you, to be honest with his true feelings and for you to be his significant other. The moon has risen and t'was the perfect time for him to invite you to a magical carpet ride. The housewarden went to your dorm and persuaded you to join him in a late night ride on his carpet. He lied that he couldn't sleep and decided to pay you a small visit, but this was apart of his plan to confess to you.

Upon riding his carpet, you felt the cold breeze of air surrounding the two of you. "Oh, be careful, my dear. I don't want you to fall down because of me." His arms, wrapped around you to ensure that you wouldn't fall out from his grip as you attempted to touch the stars above. While you're distracted by the beautiful scenery below, Kalim becomes awestruck by your beauty, reflected by the moonlight below. Your eyes shines like diamonds and your smile is worth than the coins he was constantly saw in the majority of his life.

The carpet stopped as soon as it enters the upper atmosphere, finally seeing the brightest stars you've ever seen and the perfect time for Kalim to tell you the truth. "(y/n)..." He called your name softly, making your head turned slightly in front of him. He first showed such affection by placing a kiss on your temple and softly smiled on your expression. "I know that we're just friends but lately, I felt something very different than this friendship of ours." He said timidly, anxiousness was laced upon his words.

You did say anything, indicating for him to continue. "I want for us to be more than friends I- You have no idea how much you made me very happy. No matter how much gold or jewelry I was gifted, you are by far my most prized treasure." He held your hands against his and kissed each knuckle. You couldn't help but to feel the butterflies on your stomach and his loving gaze tells you that he's definitely a keeper.

"I love you, my love. I want you to be happy. And I would love it to be with me." He finished his confession but alas, he was about to apologize when he saw tears running on your cheeks.

"These are happy tears, Kalim and it makes me so happy when you receprocated those feelings I've felt for you."

"S-so, is that a yes?! Do you love me too?!"

You nodded in affirmation, casing Kalim to hug you tightly, laughing and peppers your face with so much kisses. "Thank you so much, my jewel. I'll do my best to be the best boyfriend you'll ever have."

"You made a rebel of a careless man's careful daughter. You are the best thing, that's ever been mine."

For him, Jamil believes that food can be his own way of showing on how much he pinned after you. At first, he brushed these feelings for you as something that's platonic. He sees you as a friend who took interest in his cooking and nothing more. That was until you started to fawn over and complimented him on how much of a husband material he was. Cooking such delicious cuisines really does make you happy and it didn't stop his heart from beating as soon as he heard those words.

And it looks like he just accepted his romantic feelings towards you.

Jamil isn't the type who would always show on how much he liked you nor would spit out words that could make his feelings obvious to you but instead, he projected those feelings by making food for you–soup, meat, even bento boxes in which he claimed that he made way too much but in reality, he just made an extra to show how much he cares for you and didn't want you to go hungry after finding out that you were saving a few thaumarks for your necessities.

Oh how his eyes lit up whenever Kalim announces your arrival on his dorm, his eyes soften up whenever you mentioned his cooking skills and didn't hesitate to hold your hand when the two of you are alone in the hallways of the dorm. You didn't mind the sudden physical affection from him since you also liked him and didn't gave the guts to tell him your crush towards him.

There are times that he couldn't help but felt the feelings of jealousy whenever you hang out more with the housewarden of Scarabia or being invited to Riddle's 'Unbirthday' parties. How he wishes for you to spend some more time with him, it was selfish of him but that's the side affect when you fell for the person you truly cared and loved.

As soon as Kalim knew about Jamil's romantic attraction towards you, he did everything for the two of you to be together; whenever you visited his dorm, he always persuaded you and Jamil to have a ride on his magical carpet. He also invited you to dance with him as soon as the music started and gave you watching jewelry that Jamil wear all the time.

For the first time, Jamil ranted to the housewarden on how much he loves you, how helpful and kind you are even after his oberblotted state and how your compliments and sweet words finally took a boost on his confidence. By the time he was finished with his talk, Kalim suggested for him to have a celebration in the dorms to confess his feelings for you and revealed a crucial detail about you; The food that makes you happy was tarts and cakes.

Jamil was baffled. Sure that he can cook anything but sweets? He definitely needs some help from Trey himself. Plus, Valentine's Day will arrive in just a few days so he has more time to prepare to such occasion.

And when Valentine's Day has arrived, the first thing Jamil did was giving you a bouquet of flowers. Poor guy was nervous as his hands shaken a bit, making you quite concerned for your friend. He ensures you that he's okay and asks you if you're free on the 14th of February. You thought about that at first, realizing that you didn't have anyone other than Grim to celebrate the occasion. So you happily agreed, a warm smile appeared on his cheeks.

During the celebration, you and Grim ate and danced with the other students. In the far corner, some of Jamil's peers (that includes Kalim) hyped him up as he held the box, hands shaken a bit due to his nervousness. This is the moment he's not gonna mess up and as soon as his leg touched the marble floors, he knew that there's no turning back. "Hey (y/n). Can I talk with you for a moment? This quite urgent and needed to be addressed right away." You nodded and proceeded to walk right beside him towards the balcony.

"Is something wrong, Jamil? Do you have a bad day? You know you can tell me anything but I ain't forcing you." He didn't say anything, his face still in a nonchalant expression as he opens the box that contains the strawberry tart Trey helped him baked. Inside of the box was indeed the tart but with the words "Be Mine". You stood there in shock, warmth began to spread across your entire body. He felt his cheeks began to warm up too and spoke his honest feelings towards you.

He sighed, placing the tart beside him and held both of your arms against his own. "I know I'm not the type who would be all sappy and cheesy but it's hard for me to describe what I feel for you... but just know that it's love nonetheless." Your eyes widen a bit from his confession, a smile growing on your face. "But I know I'm a bit uneasy because I'm quite unfamiliar in the concept of dating." Without hesitation, you let go both of his hands and hugged his waist. "Then let's face it together. After all, I wouldn't mind being on a small adventure with my boyfriend." You giggled, now facing the night sky as you hold his elbow and your head leaning on his shoulder. He looks at you in adoration, a soft expression can be seen on his face while placing a soft kiss on your forehead. "Boyfriend.... I like the sound of that..."

Right behind the newly formed couple was the students of the dorm cheering quietly, now finally happy that their vice housewarden finally got the person he truly loved the most.

"And ah, take me out, and take me home. You're my, my, my, my lover."

Hi!! I love giving my Opinions :3 I have so many thoughts about so many things, most of which are completely arbitrary and pointless 🥰

As for btd... I wanna want to play it. I really do. I wanna look at it and get hype to play it. It sounds like it's perfect for me. But... idk I'm picky about art styles and what I personally find appealing to look at, and if I don't enjoy Looking At A Thing then I just can't get into it, unfortunately. And I do not like looking at that game. The screenshots I've seen of it just aren't my sort of style.

Also I find that. Hm. I'm always a lil wary of things where the art itself or fans of it can skew edgy, if that makes sense? Like I love dark, fucked up things! But... there's a specific kind of person who is prominent in circles where dark/fucked up art is the norm, who tends to be edgy for the sake of being edgy and always needs to be the most fucked up person with the most fucked up ideas. Which on its own isn't... a problem, exactly. Just something I personally find annoying. But it's also common for people like that to also be "no limits" type people, which is dangerous and concerning from a safety perspective, so I try to stay away from people like that. And while most of the fans of the game I've seen are normal and chill and fine, some are deeply Like That and I don't wanna have to deal with them. I'd probably put up with it if I was more interested in the game, but since I'm not, it's not worth it.

So yeah, between those two things, it's unfortunately not my kinda thing. No matter how much I really do wish it was 😭

I feel like doing occasional animation updates again like I did ages ago when I was making the Getting Over It animation. I'm doing another long one, an entire unofficial music video (dunno how Hugo would feel about that but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I guess we'll see). Anyways.. I'm now about 60 seconds in with the storyboard, and I have about 120 seconds left to go! I also had about 40 seconds animated already later on in the video but I'm probably going to re-make a large part of it because I came up with some new ideas during the process.. I came up with a message I want to depict, something that has been an important theme in my own life lately. so we'll see how that turns out!

The hard thing about making madeon animations vs for example JSE animations (or any other gaming cc) is that for Sean, I have seen hours and hours worth of content showing his expressions, little quirks, his body language, the way he walks and carries himself. All I have from Hugo is what he puts on tiktok and some interviews, I have to guess about him a lot. To add to that, keeping things mysterious is also kinda part of his brand.. which is exciting as a fan, because you'll never know what his next move is going to be! But for an animator, trying to make a cartoon character behave like the real deal, it's REALLY FUCKING ANNOYING! I can't exactly send Hugo a message asking "sup, hey, nice hat *finger guns* but uhh, can you show me what it looks like when you burst out laughing? Send me a video of you getting jump scared? Thanks bruh", so I think any animation I make with Hugo in it will be more of a reflection of myself and how I would act being in this made up scenario than him. Which has its own charm, I think.. part of me is just worried about how Hugo feels about all of this. All of this fanart is born out of a feeling of comfort his music brings me, but the last thing I want to do is make him (or anyone for that matter) uncomfortable for the sake of my own.

I have recently seen that signalis is on sale and don't know if i should buy it. I don't know much about the game and have seen that you like signalis, so would it be possible to explain a bit wht the game is about.

Space lesbians and eldrich horror done right. <- the short version.

The long version ->

You play as Elster, or rather, LSTR-512, a Replika. Basically a human android. You are on a ship called the Penrose, and your Gestalt (human) co-pilot (Ariane) is missing.

This is a game with a story you have to figure out. Its not hard. Its not hiding its story, but you will definitely have to pick up notes (in-game) and pay some attention to get an idea of whats going on.

It is a highly spoilerable game in terms of story.

In terms of gameplay, it is like a top-down, but you see it from an angle.

The genre is survival horror. Limited resources, tight rooms, limited inventory, and enemies. Ammo conservation and inventory management is the game, and about half the time you can try to sneak/run past enemies to conserve ammo.

Signalis recently got an inventory update that should make the inventory management MUCH better. (Basically some items gets special slots that only they can go in, and since you would basically need them on you at all times, it now saves slots in your normal inventory) (this was about the only complaint before from the community - the inventory was TOO small. This update fixed some of that while not making it too easy either)

Okay to recap because I rambled a bit:

Signalis is a Top-Down, Survival Horror game with an eldrich horror theme done right. A lot of messed up and confusing things happens in this game, but its not so vague or random that you cant make sense of it.

The start of the game goes like this:

You wake up. Search your crashed ship. You leave it. Go through an archway. Find a hole in the ground. Go down the hole. Find a hole in the wall. Go through the wall. End up in a regular-ish room. Listen to a radio broadcast. Next time you're in control of your character, you're in a bathroom in a mining facility.

That doesnt make sense, right?

It will.

I really want to talk about it in detail, but again, its highly spoilerable. Not fun if I go into detail about what the opening 5-10 minutes is, right? (What I talked about above).

The game is about 8 to 12 hours long (per playthrough), depending how long you take on puzzles and how long you take exploring. The game has a map, so its not like Haydee where you have to draw your own.

The gunplay is as simple as aiming your weapon, and as long as youre aiming close enough to an enemy, Elster will soft-lock onto it (aim assist, basically).

In terms of characters, most (and by most I mean that there is litteraly 1 guy) are females. And not only that, but they are tall androids (most of the time. Looking at you, 152cm (5') Kolibri's (Smolibri)) (This doesnt spoil anything really, just fun info you can find) (the rest of the androids are generally above 200cm) (there is stepladders in game and the files calls them "Kolibri steppy". The devs definitely had fun.)

So to recap the story as spoiler free as possible: You are an LSTR (Elster) android (Replika) in search of your missing human (Gestalt) co-pilot called Ariane. All in order to keep your promise to her. What is that promise you ask? You better remember it.

For the bird enthusiasts: most (and by most I mean all) Replika names correlate to a bird! Elster correlate to Magpie's, for example.

Does that have a meaning to the story? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ play to find out.

The art style of the game is pixel (as seen in the screenshot), but also (to borrow the words of Bricky) "Its sci-fi, if all we knew were the 80's". Big blocky screens with big buttons and static on screens.

The music - oh the music is fantastic. Tracks like "3000 cycles", "Cigarette wife", "die toteninsel emptiness" and "Swan Lake" by Tchaikovsky (yeah this game borrows some music) fits the theme of the game so well.

In terms of horror, it is mostly the environment and story. The only form of "jumpscare" is enemies screeching at you, or you get a cutscene with some mildly disturbing imagery. There is no form of "big loud thing jumps in your face" jumpscare. You will never turn around a corner and get a fnaf jumpscare.

The fandom is also chronically insane. (Not calling anyone out - I am a part of it.)

My first impression of them Honestly? I saw him as a facebook icon from my homie and thought he was super weird.

When I think I truly started to like them Until I got to see clips of his personality. Now I smother myself in Mist content.

A childhood headcanon When he was a wee ink bloob. nah seriously. He didn't have one lol.

The most random ship you've seen people have with them Vector and Mist? I dunno. I don't see many other ships around with him specifically with canon characters.

A weird headcanon When Mist is all soft and caring...for some reason.

When do you think they were at their happiest? When he took steroids/Chaos/Barian power form.

When do you think they were at their lowest? I guess when he got so salty/mad at Astral in the temple duel. Not gunna lie, it made me chuckle.

Future headcanon No puppet allowed! if he yeeted himself to get to Astral. There would be an alternative to restore him and have him be a further pain in the ass.

What do you think is a secret they have that they never told anyone? Swiggity swooty, Comin for that Astral booty~

When do you think they acted the most ooc I don't recall he ever did? I would beat him with a rolled up newspaper if he did. Get back to being evil!

When do you think they were being "themselves" the most? every time his ass appeared on screen?

If they could meet a character from another show/movie/etc, who would be the most fun for them to meet? I'm going video game. Diablo from Diablo 3. They both want power and destruction and both look fabulous.

The most unnecessary thing they ever did? When he possessed the major. like. I understand you were screwing with humans, but I don't think you can get very far my dude xD
