AND BEFORE THE SHOOTING. SHE LOOKS MONROE IN THE FACE#a woman who wants to kill her and has already proven she can! but she does it because scott believes in people and lydia believes in scott#and scott needs help and lydia can help him! and how many times has he helped her. how many times have all of her friends helped her#and by this point. how many times has she offered the same? she's used to it enough that she can offer monroe kindness too. a chance to tal#LYDIA MARTIN I LOVE YOU FOREVER YOU WILL ALWAYS BE FAMOUS#NO ONE IS DOING IT LIKE YOU!!

I'm watching the Teen Wolf movie and I think I'm a masochist
Liam being in Japan is so fucking random.
Him having the Nogitsune jar is even more random. Why would they trust that to Liam who wasn't in that season.
Why is Mason a deputy?
Eli has my entire fucking heart.
Dylan O'Brien took the Jeep from the set apparently so I love the idea of them having to recreate it for the movie.
Season 3 is a work of art and they're milking it for all it's worth.
"Why is Jackson here" - Scott but also me but then he won me over five seconds later.
Jackson & Ethan are still togeter. I love that so much. All my other ships might be dead but at least they're still standing.
Lydia hugging everyone is so wholesome
Malia and Parrish!! JUMPSCARE!!! I did not need that much nudity from them.
Why is this giving DCOM vibes? Seasons 1 & 2 had better production/effects than this and that is saying something.
Melissa. My Queen. I love you. You are top tier TV mum.
Do you think Derek asks for parenting advice of the Sherriff? Sherrif is giving grandpa vibes.
I would have preffered an entire movie about Coach - I have many suggestions.
Malia's one liners can stay.
Second Jumpscare: Allisons mother. She always scared me the most out of all the villains ngl.
Eli passes out when see's his own fangs. That's it. I'm adopting him.
How the hell does BEacon Hills manage to hire new deputies? Most dangerous job in the world.
Peter was holding in revenge for Derek using a blowtorch on him in season 4. I know Jeff did not think of this but I enjoy this easter egg my own brain has created.
Jackson being worried about his own tail. This man only has one personality trait but ya know what, I love it.
Chris Argent has always been quite level headed and I appreciate that about him.
"I have to try and get through to her" "she's trying to get an arrow, through you" - are we sure this isn't Stiles' kid?
They really replaced Kira but gave this new character literally 0 personality. We only just found out her name.
"I can do this" immediately gets impaled.
The cut to Peter just vigorously sniffing the ground made me snort.
Can't believe I'm saying this but ... Jackson is the high light of this movie for me.
Derek is such a supportive dad. Why couldn't we just have a spin-off of Derek raising his late bloomer werewolf child.
Since when did Beacon Hills have a college. This town has exactly 4 locations: school, hospital, sherrif station, ice-rink.
"How the hell am I supposed to see my eyes they're the things I used to see" followed straight away by "do you like riddles" "nah I'm more of a limeric guy, more rhymey". I love it.
"He kinda looks like our old chemistry teacher" "I was your chemistry teacher JAckson you complete imbocile" I'm sorry I'm dead.
People are gonna die and yet Scott is playing lacrosse.
I zoned out of most of that ending sequence.
I also skipped Derek dying in its entirety because in my mind that did not happen. I do not accept. Moving on.
If I did acknowledge that Derek was dead I'd wonder why the fuck Scott is now raising Eli instead of: Malia, Cora, Peter, Sherrif Stilinksi, literally anyone else.
Anyways. I hated everything besides Eli and JAckson. I'm gonna go read some fanfiction now instead.

One Moves On Chapter Four: Crow Rock
Stiles Stilinski doesn’t know what to think when he’s taken by the Ghost Riders. He’s grateful to be joined by Y/N L/N, although when he finally escapes, no one seems to remember her at all.

Tumblr media
Now that he’s finished his research, Stiles isn’t sure what to do next. Does he drive over in a fit of glory and bad decision making, hope to find Y/N and pray she hasn’t left before he gets there? Does he risk traveling without a pack to one of the areas with the most supernatural activity other than Beacon Hills?
In the end, Stiles decides to just go. Deliberating and hesitating won’t do him any good, not when Y/N is still out there, weaponless and with no idea where she is. Stiles spends a haphazard half hour running about his house, trying to put together supplies he might need for the trip, before finally stumbling over to his Jeep.
When he finally makes it out, keys clutched in his hand, Scott is waiting for him.
His best friend is leaning up against the driver’s side door, arms folded across his chest. Stiles’ steps falter. “You knew I was going?” Scott lifts a shoulder. “Your dad called me, said he was worried. We knew you’ve been concerned about Y/N, but we didn’t know that you would go this far. Where are you going, Stiles?”
Stiles holds up a hastily printed map. “Actually, I’m going to a town called Crow Rock. Good supernatural activity, and I followed the law of triangles-” Stiles’ voice dies off as he takes in the look on Scott’s face. “The law of triangles, which is a very reputable law from a very reputable manuscript which we all know about. Right. Well, I know how it sounds but trust me, it’s going to be alright.”
Scott sighs. “I want to believe you. Honestly, I do. But Y/N died months ago. You have to know that. I didn’t even know you cared this much about her. I’d call it grief, but you watched her die some time ago. She’s already buried.” Stiles frowns at him. “Is she? Where?” Scott fumbles for a moment. “Uh, in some cemetery.” Stiles presses his advantage. “Which cemetery? If we saw her buried, where is she?”
Scott’s brow furrows, and he stares at Stiles in bewilderment. “I can’t remember. I know where Allison and Aiden and all the others are buried, but I don’t know where she is.” Stiles throws his hands in the air. “This is exactly what I’m talking about. You don’t know because she isn’t dead. We never buried her so of course we can’t remember the cemetery. Scott, you have to believe me. She’s out there somewhere and I have to bring her back.”
Scott’s face softens. “You’re sure this will work? You know where to find her?” Stiles nods fervently. “I’ve done my research. Sometimes, people are pulled away from rifts by something called etheria. I was able to make it back safely from the Wild Hunt, but she wouldn’t. She’s not the first either- these victims, they call them etherials or something, have been disappearing for centuries. I’ve managed to track down another hotspot where she might be located and I think it’s my best shot at finding her.”
Scott nods once, then claps him on the shoulder. “I think you can do it.” Stiles looks up at him. “Really?” Scott smiles trustingly. “From what I’ve heard, you’ve put in a considerable amount of time for research. I think if anyone could track down an etherial who everyone else thinks is dead, it would be you.” Stiles grins. For some reason, hearing his best friend’s belief in him is enough to give Stiles a boost in confidence.
Scott steps away from the door of the Jeep, allowing Stiles access at last. “I just wanted to check with you before you go. To make sure you knew what you were doing.” He glances at the map, taking in the location of the hotspot. “There’s going to be a lot of supernatural trouble there. You sure you don’t want a backup group?” Stiles shakes his head, smiling. “I’m good, thank you. I think this is something I have to do by myself.”
Stiles climbs into the Jeep, giving himself a moment to think. This is it, the last moment before he sets off on his journey. He’s spent so much time preparing that it’s strange to think that this is his stepping off point, the last opportunity he has to back down and say that this is too dangerous, or that the chances are too great that he will fail.
Stiles turns on the ignition in a roar. Scott waves goodbye as the Jeep disappears down the road.
Stiles has only been driving for an hour or so before he notices a shift in the air. It’s not much, barely there, but yet something is not right. It’s like the atmosphere of the car has become quieter, even more silent than before. No one has entered or left the vehicle to warrant this silence, but it’s still enough to make Stiles feel slightly uneasy. He’d felt it a little when he was crossing over the boundary to Beacon Hills, a slight change in the energy as if by leaving he was passing through a barrier of some sort.
Stiles supposes it makes sense- you leave a hotspot, you might notice some change. Stiles doubts he would have noticed it had he not just been taken by the Wild Hunt or even gone without his temporary possession by the Nogitsune. He has a feeling that sensing this change in supernatural activity is an ability usually attributed to the supernatural, and the fact that he, a supposedly ordinary human, can sense it sets Stiles’ teeth on edge.
Stiles becomes aware of another change about fifteen minutes later. He sits up straighter in his seat, trying and failing to figure out what exactly is filling him with unease, and then he sees the sign. It’s faded, paint crumbling off of a metal backing. Even with the weathering of the sign, Stiles can still read the derelict letters: Welcome to Crow Rock. Stiles has made it at last.
The Jeep rumbles on, past the sign and onto the twisting roads. Scott, Lydia, and Malia had told him about visiting Canaan while he was still in the thrall of the Wild Hunt, and how the entire town had given off the uncanny, almost sinister energy of a ghost town. Stiles has no idea what it must have been like to walk those streets, but he has a suspicion that it would be pretty similar to how he feels right now, driving down the blocks and avenues in his truck.
Stiles has looked at images of Crow Rock from larger topographical maps, and realized that the town itself isn’t actually that big. He’d been happy then, thinking that maybe this was one instance of luck for himself and that it might not take as long to search the town for Y/N, but that hope is starting to wither away from him now. The town may be small, yes, with fewer hiding spots, but it also means fewer people to watch him. With fewer bystanders, the chance of supernaturals backing down from a public attack grows slimmer and slimmer with each mile Stiles travels within the town.
Stiles intended to drive to the center of town, where the hotspot of supernatural activity would most likely be the highest. However, as he goes he finds that certain roads are blocked off or congested with traffic that miraculously vanishes a few blocks down. He’s forced to take alternate routes, driving him on a convoluted path away from the entrance. It gives Stiles a sneaking suspicion that he’s being intentionally misrouted, that something is drawing him close.
Stiles has just taken a turn into a new street when he’s forced to come to an abrupt stop. A construction barricade has been laid across the road, orange and white paint signaling that he can travel no further. Stiles checks his rearview mirrors, ready to make a U-turn and get onto another road, when he freezes in place. A group of people is slowly spilling out into the road behind him, and they come to a stop at the main road, blocking off any chance of escape. They all consider Stiles with identical glares. This is not good.
Seeing as he can’t drive anywhere without mowing down this group of people, Stiles turns off the ignition and starts to climb down out of the Jeep. All of his instincts are screaming at him to stay in the car, to not give up the one piece of shelter he still has left, but it’s not like he has much of a choice. At least he’d be able to run on foot- if he remains in the Jeep, he’d just be a sitting duck.
Stiles walks away from the car, coming to a stop a few yards away from the group. One man steps forward, glaring at Stiles with an almost animal rage. “You should not have come here, human. You reek of enemy packs.” Most people would be smart and hold their tongues, choosing to live instead of delivering a supposedly witty retort. Stiles prefers to save his academic success for the tests in school.
“I think it’s kind of mean to go up to people and tell them they smell. I mean, I showered this morning, I can’t be that bad.” The man raises an eyebrow. “You are a human with a death wish, I see. It is not wise to pick a fight that you cannot win.” Stiles shrugs. “I’m just a tourist, man. I can see why your driving tours got such low reviews on Yelp.”
The man scoffs, the sound skidding deep in his throat like the roar of an engine. “I am quickly tiring of you. I will give you one minute to leave this town. If you are not gone by then, you will be dead.” Stiles shakes his head slowly. “I can’t do that. I’m here for someone.” The man roars at him, the sound echoing off of the buildings around them to culminate in a low din of noise. “Then you will die here instead.”
The man charges towards Stiles, claws already starting to extend from his fingers. Stiles takes one look at him and decides to do what he does best: run. He spins on his heels, dashing towards his Jeep with every ounce of energy still left in him. He’s almost there, one hand flung out towards the door, when a werewolf skids to a stop in front of him. It lets out a piercing howl, the sound of an animal about to attack.
Suddenly, a knife slams into its throat, and the wolf slumps sideways. Stiles’ head jerks up as he looks for his savior. A blur of flashing knives and running limbs appears out of nowhere, and a figure grabs the knife from the werewolf’s throat to throw it at another approaching wolf. Then the figure turns to Stiles, and he feels like he could dance with joy.
“Y/N?” She flashes him a grin. “Great to see you. Get in the Jeep.” Stiles doesn’t think twice, diving for the door and throwing himself in. Y/N climbs into the passenger seat, slamming the door closed just before a werewolf can slash her to ribbons. Stiles turns on the ignition, thanking everything holy and then some that the engine doesn’t fail him. He begins the turn to direct his car back towards the road, and then hesitates.
Y/N stares at him. “What are you waiting for? Do you enjoy being killed by enemy packs?” Stiles gestures towards the road. “The werewolves are blocking all the lanes!” Y/N’s eyes widen in something like incredulity. “Then run them over!” Stiles returns her startled gaze. “They’ll wreck my car!” Y/N grabs his hand, forcing it back onto the wheel. “If you stay here, they’ll wreck your car by dragging your dead body out of it and tearing it to shreds. Drive!”
A wolf howls nearby, raising his hand to slash at the metal body of the car. This is enough to motivate him, and Stiles slams a foot on the gas. The Jeep lurches forward, and the werewolves are forced to dive out of the way lest they get flattened by the wheels. The Jeep races around corners and through straightaways before they finally lose the enemy pack and the roads become deserted once more.
Stiles stares at the windshield unseeingly. His hands still shake from the close call. “You know, I don’t think I used my turn signal once during all of this.” There’s a quiet sound next to him, and for a second Stiles thinks that Y/N has started sobbing. Then he looks over and realizes that she’s doubled over in silent laughter. She manages to choke out two words. “Turn signal?”
Stiles stares at her for a second, then starts laughing too. Maybe it’s the thrill of yet another near death experience, or the rush of gratitude that he’s managed to find her at last, but all of a sudden every single thing in the world seems funny. He has to divert his attention back to the road in a jolt lest he run over a suicidal squirrel, which just makes them laugh even harder.
At last, they approach the sign announcing that they will shortly be leaving Crow Rock. Y/N’s laughter dies on her lips as she stares at the sign, then speaks abruptly. “Stop the car.” Stiles stares at her as she jumps out before the wheels have even stopped moving. He puts the car in park just a little bit beyond the sign, then leaps out after her. “What are you doing? Do you like the idea of being slashed to bits by the enemy packs?”
Y/N shakes her head, staring at him with quiet grief. “I can’t leave the town.” Stiles walks back over to her. “What are you talking about?” Y/N looks at him, and Stiles realizes that she doesn’t look afraid or even disappointed. Her face only holds a calm acceptance of a depressing fact. “I can’t leave. I’ve tried before, but the town won’t let me. Look.” She moves to step forward, past the ‘Leaving Crow Rock’ sign, but her feet refuse to budge. It’s as if she’s trying to walk into an invisible wall.
“I’ve tried to leave, ever since I showed up here, but I can’t. It’s like the same magic that brought me here intends on trapping me here forever.” Stiles’ eyes widen. “It’s the etheria. All those manuscripts talked about how people would be yanked away to other hotspots and never return. I thought they just meant that it was the olden days or whatever and that long of a distance was too far to travel without cars or something, but they literally meant that they couldn’t leave.”
Stiles shakes his head, unable to accept this. “I’m not giving up, not now. I’m not losing you again.” Y/N laughs quietly at that. The sound is bittersweet and tears at his heart. “I don’t think you have a choice, Stiles. There’s no way around this.” Stiles’ pulse is thundering in his veins. “No, I’m going to make a choice. Even if I have to do it all myself. No one is supposed to remember the etherials, but I remember you. We’re the exception, Y/N. I am not leaving you again.”
Out of some impulse, Stiles steps forward, wrapping his arms around Y/N and pulling her close. She stiffens for a second, then returns his embrace. After so many days of hearing everyone tell him that she was dead, that she didn’t exist, having her so close is like a dream or an impossibility. They stumble slightly as a strong wind hits them, shifting slightly but not letting go. Y/N gasps quietly, the sound torn away from her chest. Stiles looks at her. “What is it? What’s wrong?”
Y/N shakes her head slightly. “I don’t know. I feel like-” Her eyes widen as she stares at the sign to Crow Rock, the sign that is now behind them. In that brief moment, when they’d moved to avoid the wind, they’d moved over the town barrier. It had just been mere inches, but it was enough. Y/N stares at him in awe. “How did that happen? It’s never happened before.”
Stiles can just smile at her, feeling relief crest over him like a wave. “I told you, didn’t I? We’re the exception. Now, I don’t know about you, but I think I’d like to go home.” She beams at him. “I think I’d like that a lot.” Stiles reaches out, wrapping his hand around hers to guide her back to the car. They’re together at last, and they can finally make their way back to where they belong.

i am steter trash so i wrote an au where stiles is a spark that lives in the forest because he killed his dad in an accident back when he was a kid and couldn't control his magic and his moms family was just made up of mages and he is the first one to actually be a born spark with loads of power so she raises him and teaches him everything she knows
and in this au sparks are being hunted and put down like animals so claudia builds a house in the forest with stiles where he can live and study magic on the land of their family and after she dies stiles moves there.
(and yes hes a lot older in this because it makes me antsy to write about eighteen year old stiles and adult peter. sorry. I'm a pussy okay.)
and stiles meets his gang! and scott is a dryad, lydia is a mermaid, jackson and danny are mermen (and jackson and danny are together by the way), i planned allison as a regular human that meets scott on a walk in the woods and falls in love with him later in the story because the hale fire storyline is still happening, and kira is an ancient kitsune who also lives in the forest and is good friends with stiles, and erica, boyd, isaac, liam, theo etc are not there yet but thats cause stiles is pretty alone.
he just minds his own business and takes care of the dryads and meets fairies (who live in the forest) and makes a deal with them that they'll stop screwing around with humans and stay in the forest and he'll protect them and take care of them because sparks are powerful and the fairies appreciate that instead of being afraid of him.
and stiles just does his thing for a couple of years until the fairies go a little bit too far and peter hale, who is stupidly a little too far in the forest on his patrol, gets caught in a storm they cause and gets lost in the woods, and he finds stiles' house and stiles takes him in and gives him dry clothes and then guards him back so peter won't get himself fairy'ed
and then a week passes and stiles is kind of anxious peters family will tell him to fuck off the woods (even though it's stiles' heritage to take care of the forest, the hales just live there) and then: the actual plot
a little apple dryad tells him scott found a dying fairy. this fairy apparently told scott in her dying breath something wolfish killed her, and stiles wrongly thinks peter and his family did that, and he goes to find scott to ask him about it, but scott is just gone. stiles can't find him and gets worried and checks his wards, and when he gets to the wards around the hale property, he meets laura. he asks her if she's seen scott, and she saw him going back into the forest, but stiles still can't find him.
laura leaves and stiles finds the ward to their territory broken, and it stinks like druid, so he figures it was this deaton guy because werewolves aren't sneaky like that.
stiles visits lydia (because he still can't find scott and lydia knows how to calm him down) and finds out jackson and danny saw a monster while making out under the surface of their lake and from then stiles knows that the hales have got nothing to do with this because what lydia describes Is Not a werewolf.
so he gets pissy, and then ultimately is enraged when he finds a dead stag this monster killed, and because he's pissy he visits the hales to tell talia he's rightfully going to kill their emissary for being a bitch and breaking his wards and letting some monster walk his territory.
and talia is all "what the fuck how do i not know you." and stiles is all internally "i see my darling peter kept his promises" and then he's internally like "wait fuck i'm not really in love with this guy am i" and then he's like "oh. OH."
and talia convinces him not to kill deaton because shes awesome and stiles grumpily agrees because... not agreeing would be a dick move and it would mean. War. Basically.
so the hales offer their help looking for scott and stiles finds this monster thing on his search and its a wendigo yay, and scott has been following this thing around for days now because he's a dumbass and wanted to help, and they bro out
and the hales and stiles kill this thing, which means magic action. and stiles is awesome. and everyone knows that now.
what follows is just steter get-to-know-eachother and the hale pack are the biggest wingmen (wingpeople) ever and there's fluff and magic and a lot of flowers because stiles is a person that can't for the life of him say the words "i love you" and gets incredibly anxious when people say "i love you" so he mostly displays his feelings for peter in hanakotoba, the traditional japanese flower language that kira taught him, and peter eventually catches onto that and they get together in a load of angst and fluff and they have sex. because of course they have loads of sex. bold of you to think peter can keep his hands off stiles for longer than a day and likewise.
and there is like a load of stiles/hale pack friendship dynamics because i love them all and then suddenly yeehaw. hale fire.
So paige has already happened in this timeline before stiles and peter met, and derek still meets kate and she does her scum thing and uses him. a bunch of hunters show up to the hale house, shoot them with wolfsbane bullets and gather them so they can burn together.
stiles wakes up in a rush because something bad is happening to his wolves but then his eyes fall closed again and he can't get out of bed for a solid time because someone freaking poisoned him and he's fevering and weak and everything is dizzy, but he forces himself up because something. bad. is happening. to his. wolves. he stumbles into his kitchen and almost dies right there and then, because the poison is wolfsbane and he feels like he got tons of it shoved down his throat by the person that poisoned him. his life starts flashing in front of his eyes and he fights back at it and vomits the wolfsbane out, believes it out of his system and when it's gone, he's just left raging.
because i hate kate, stiles loses control when he meets her at the hale house and kills her. he gets the pack and gets them out of the house, breaks the mountain ash circle and they leave. the hales can't go back to their house because the place is swarming with hunters
and peter and stiles figure out it was deaton who told kate everything she needed to know to set this trap and the mountain ash circle also stinks like druid, so deaton gets revealed as being the bad guy all along. stiles figures that he also poisoned him so he wouldnt interrupt, and that deaton wanted thalias alpha spark. the wendigo was a test and deaton put it there on purpose to see how strong stiles was and if he would care about the hales, because deaton knew stiles would feel the hunters killing them and ever since peter and stiles got together the druid knew he would have to murder him too to get the hales dead.
and stiles is just half feral in his wrath and the aftermath of the wolfsbane poisoning, and derek is sobbing and muttering about this being all his fault, and peter has two bullets stuck in his knees and has to be held up by his niece and his brother-in-law, and every one of them is shot and hurt and crying and talia does her best to comfort derek while shaking as well
and stiles just closes his eyes. takes a deep breath. and takes care of his family-in-law, because fuck if he isnt gonna marry peter after this. he takes them in, gives them clean and comfortable clothes, patches them up, lets them shower, yeets his living room so they have space for a big puppy pile, gives them food and water to drink and then draws a ward around his house that is strong enough deaton won't be able to find them unless he sells his soul to the king of hell.
when he's done with that, he locks the hales in and asks kira to take care of them and make sure they're okay while he's gone. she agrees and stiles goes and because he's angry and kind of more dark than i let slip until now so he just. slaughters the hunters that are left. and he enjoys it.
then he shows up to chris argents house, shocks the living hell out of allison because he's still covered in blood and ash, and goes talk to gerard, who is there for alibi purposes. he just flatly tells the truth and asks gerard how many times they've done this now. and the second the old man lets slip the hales weren't the first, stiles goes full Older Derek Hale Mode and slams him against a wall to threaten the living shit out of the man.
by threaten i mean he says that he'll kill him and there's nothing the guy can do about it, cause stiles will find him, no matter how far he runs. yknow bamf dark stiles shit. i am living for writing this scene right now bye
and then he looks at chris and allison. allison looks scared out of her mind and then she asks if thats true. if her family really did something like that. and chris has to look her square in the eye and tell her through gritted teeth that, altough he didnt know about this, yes, they did that to innocent people.
and stiles looks at chris and gives him a nod, because he knows the guy can get this right, he knows allison is strong and fierce and will be fine no matter what. he looks at gerard and sneers at him in disgust. then he leaves like the dramatic bitch he is, but not without ensuring chris will clean this mess up and make an alliance with talia.
he goes back to the house and the only one still awake is peter, and stiles breaks down completely, covered in blood from head to toe and scared out of his mind too. peter holds him, gently leads him into the shower, and helps him get cleaned up, washes his hair, picks out clothes for him, and they go to sleep together.
then, recovery. stiles organizes therapy for derek because lord knows the boy needs it, he nurses the hales healthy, shows them around in the house, they meet his friends, cora and lydia take a particularly special interest in each other, scott is sad because allison broke up with him but stiles visits the argents and talks to her a lot and they become friends too, and he knows scott will get over her eventually, just as she's getting over him.
and stiles shows the hales his life for a while until everyone is recovered, and then they go back to the hale house that he cleaned up already (because, uh, corpses had to be buried, floors had to be cleaned from blood and the smell of magic and mountain ash had to be erased)
and then peter proposes to stiles and they have a beautiful wedding by the lake where cora can talk to lydia, and derek ends up talking to scott quite a lot because scott is nervous and sweet and falls head over heels for the quiet werewolf, and guess who allison ends up with? nobody. because allison is fucking awesome and in the hunter business and she takes it upon her to start cleaning up the community and goes against hunters that are like her aunt just killing innocent people and a relationship with anybody would just be annoying. maybe she realizes she isnt even into relationships, i don't know that yet. aro ally would be interesting, dude.
And then in the end stiles goes to live with the hales and they mend their territory together so he can still visit his friends and he leaves the house to cora who eventually moves there as an adult so she can live with lydia. he and peter move out as well and they go back to town when stiles is ready, because he's lived so freaking long in the fear someone will hunt him down and kill him for his power, and now everything is peaceful. so he puts down his weapons, stops fighting, and lives happily ever after.
and has loads of sex with peter. just because.

(I was gonna save this for tomorrow, but FUCK IT) Eyyy, still being salty over here. Pls block the tag ‘rant’ if you don’t wanna see anymore of these. Or maybe ‘anti-scott mccall’ though, tbh, I’m not sure how much fun it would be to follow me if you aren’t anti-scott mccall. I’m pretty vocal abt disliking him.
ANYWAY.
I wanna talk about the concept of Derek being a ‘creeper’ because of all his wandering around the lacrosse field, at lydia’s party, etc. And by talk about, I mean ramble about incoherently. By which I mean, please know that I’m not trying to insult or fight anybody who makes this joke or uses this concept in fic or whatever. I’m just ranting bc I love this boy and his trauma makes me sad.
ANYWAY. (This is insanely long, so I’m adding a “Read More”)
I just have a lot of feelings about people seeing Derek as a stalker/creeper because he keeps showing up at lacrosse practice and in Scott & Stiles’ rooms, etc. It gets mentioned in loads of fics (I see a lot of “Creeperwolf” which I think is supposed to be an endearment?) (And there’s lots of fics that talk about how ‘you used to be/are really creepy, following us around’ Again, not judging) (Dude it’s even a whole tag on AO3 ‘Creeper Derek Hale’) and it’s joked about a lot in fandom (the vine with the ‘every step you take’ song and the swans on the building comes to mind). I see it a lot, and dude, it hurts me.
Let’s look at Derek’s current mental state and what he’s been dealing with, going all the way back to Paige. (Or, tbh, his birth) Derek is a werewolf. He was born a werewolf, to a family of werewolves. He grew up within the supernatural world, in a whole different culture to humans (honestly, my fury at the lack of werewolf culture/history/worldbuilding is worthy of its own post. Let me know if by some ungodly chance, you actually wanna hear my thoughts on it.) and presumably the number one rule in all of werewolfdom is “Keep the Secret.” Now, Derek’s fuckin’ 14/15 (I put his birthday on Christmas, like most of fandom, and if his house burned down when he was 16, in the spring, and he was dating Kate for a while before, he would’ve dated her when he was 15, and we don’t know how long there was between paige and kate, but let’s give him a summer of mourning. So. 14ish with paige) and he starts dating this human. He’s kinda shit at keeping the secret, implying that either he’s only dated werewolves before, or she’s his first girlfriend ever (also implying that maybe some of the people on his basketball team are werewolves, bc they don’t seem to notice his weird way of talking [pack members maybe? fuck, my heart]) and he’s maybe not as careful as he should be. (More implications arise, and we begin to build our own history. If Derek was never taught not to say dumb shit like ‘i caught a scent’ then was he even in public school before freshman year? Were the Hales all homeschooled before high school to help keep the secret? How soon do wolfy abilites arise? Do they hit with puberty? Fuck, I digress.) He says some dumb shit, and Paige gets suspicious. Of course, he doesn’t know that, and he has some kind of meltdown about her eventually finding out his secret. We hear from Peter (who’s villainized, so we’re not supposed to necessarily believe what he says, but what we see in the flashback doesn’t make a huge amount of sense either so *shrug*) that he enlists Ennis to bite Paige, believing that if she is bitten she won’t spill the secret and she’ll be more inclined to accept that Derek is a werewolf. Now, she fucking dies. Paige dies in Derek’s arms because of this, and he finds out at the last second that she already knew the secret. He feels guilty enough abt getting her killed but now he’s got a whole new batch of guilt from finding out that apparently he’s so bad at keeping the secret of his ENTIRE SPECIES that she found out he was a werewolf. She could’ve exposed them all at any time. He had to be terrified. Next, he’s 15/16 and he meets a gorgeous older woman who presumably showers him in affection, and all the horrors that go with that whole situation (I don’t wanna go into detail, because obviously). But again, whether Derek tells her himself or she just knew or she finds out, whatever it is, Kate knows Derek and his family are werewolves. AND SHE KILLS THEM ALL. Derek has no clue what the fuck is going on. All he knows is he is the only link between Kate and his family, which must mean that it’s his fault she knows about them. Once again, he’s revealed the Big Secret and people Died. He and Laura bolt to NY for six years, where presumably they live in hiding thinking the Argents are coming after them to finish off the Hales. Then Laura gets sent a funky letter and goes back to Beacon Hills. Now, we have a lil more confusion (i’ve got a whole buttload of issues with the timeline, but let’s not get into that now) because he says he came looking for Laura, but later he mentions that he knew she was in Beacon Hills and was searching for...whoever burnt down their house...that whole plotline confuses the shit out of me (derek knew kate did it. he blamed All the argents, but he knew kate was involved. So why was Laura looking for the pendant. and if he didn’t tell her then why was he looking for the pendant?? And what did the pendant have to do with the deer and the spiral?? Halp.) but whatever. He shows up and finds his sister dead, the hunters arrive in town the next day, and suddenly there’s an angry alpha Attacking Humans.
We’re finally in the present. Derek has lost what little family he had left, except for a catatonic uncle. He already has two instances in his past where the worry of keeping werewolves a secret has caused deaths. And now there’s this teenager. No, actually, two teenagers. One who was bitten, and one who shouts out “You’re a werewolf!” in the middle of the preserve, instantly figuring out a centuries-old supernatural secret. Derek is fucking terrified, and things are only getting worse. This kid who got bitten? Derek follows him to see if he’s really a wolf, to find out if he knows what’s happening to him, if he believes the other teen. He finds the kid JUMPING OVER PEOPLE’S HEADS in broad daylight in front of everyone. Derek might’ve had a couple verbal giveaways but this is just ridiculous. Then, even better, the kid goes on a date on the FULL MOON with THE YOUNGEST ARGENT. There’s about a billion reasons to follow Scott to the party. It’s a FULL MOON, for one. HE’S WITH AN ARGENT for another. And of course he can’t just walk into the party. He’s fucking 22 for fuck’s sake. This is a high school party. He’d get arrested. And of course he doesn’t introduce himself to Scott beforehand. He has no way of knowing if this kid is on the Alpha’s side. He’s the Alpha’s Beta, it would make perfect sense for him to be obeying the Alpha. OR since he’s with the Argent, maybe he’s working with them. Maybe he’s a plant of some kind. a hunter pet. Laura was used as bait to catch Derek, why not Scott too? But he sees quickly that Allison has no clue what’s going on, at least with Scott, and he takes her home and steals her jacket to lure Scott into the Preserve where he can’t hurt anyone. Then, when he sees Scott get chased by the hunters, with no Alpha coming running to protect him, he decides “Alright, guess this kid’s my ally. Gotta protect him.” Yeah. He says some weird shit. But the evidence points to Derek not knowing much about bitten wolves. He tells Scott that he doesn’t know how to train a bitten wolf, but he does know how to help Scott recover memories (the memory loss appears to only happen in the early days of shifting, which lends more credibility to the possibility that born wolves don’t start shifting properly until later in life [puberty being the most likely milestone] and he therefore has experience with that, but not with the kind of control Scott needs, that he’s known his whole life). Born a werewolf, he’s never considered the bite anything other than a gift. He also just lost his entire family, so sue him for trying to find some kind of connection between them. (It honestly makes total sense for him to use the term ‘brothers’ bc he KNOWs Scott won’t understand the concept of ‘pack’ yet) So, now that’s decided to help Scott, to protect him, he goes back to the school. SURELY now that Scott knows what he is and how dangerous he is when stressed, he’ll reign himself in during lacrosse, or even just back out of it altogether. There are lives at stake here, be them human, or if Scott exposes the secret, werewolves. SURELY this kid wouldn’t put everyone in danger over a fucking game. But no. Not only does he keep flaunting his abilities, but he SHIFTS ON THE FIELD. If Stiles hadn’t Dragged Scott out of there, the entire supernatural world would be EXPOSED by this ONE KID. Derek passed Terrified about a hundred miles back. He’s gotta be fucking out of his mind with fear. I don’t blame him even a little for threatening Scott. If Scott’s not gonna do the right thing on his own, then threatening him is worth it if people don’t DIE. Then, bc Scott’s a pissy baby and goes to shout at him and be a fuckwad, and Stiles is nosey and neither of them have boundaries (I love Stiles, but fucking seriously, digging up a grave?) Derek gets ARRESTED. He pleads with this lanky teen who is brave enough to climb into the cruiser with a WEREWOLF. Who’s FRiends with a Werewolf. Who figured it out so quickly. He pleads with him to understand how dangerous this is, to stop his friend. And Stiles looks like he’s gonna, but Scott bolts bc of the wolfsbane (Which...listen if I’m being really salty, a deep bitter part of me genuinely wonders if he was that freaked out, or if he overheard Derek beg Stiles not to let Scott play, and Scott ran away from Stiles so he wouldn’t get told no, bc he wanted to play.) and by the time Stiles finds him he’s already dressed for the game. And DEREK WAS RIGHT. Scott DID lose control. He DID shift on the field. At LEAST one human saw him shift, and the coach for the other team knew something was up too. He DID expose them, and he did it further bc Jackson is suspicious now. Now, I’ve reblogged a gifset of it before, the moment when Derek shows up at the lacrosse field and finds Jackson standing in it after Scott’s run off, staring at a glove with a claw hole in it. He is watching his worst nightmare come true. Scott has exposed them and Jackson is going to figure out werewolves, just like Stiles did. He knows right that instant that people are going to die. I’ll reiterate what I said in the tags on that gifset. It’s extremely likely that Derek bit Jackson out of self-preservation. Jackson had been threatening to tell the hunters and the entire world if he didn’t get what he wanted. The safest thing to do was give Jackson the bite so that at least he would be putting himself in danger too if he exposed werewolves. He forced Jackson to have to keep the secret for himself because he knew Jackson wouldn’t do it for anyone else. (And he knew Jackson had some self-preservation, compared to Scott, and wouldn’t want to expose himself.)
Listen, I just. I just get so sad watching Derek sneaking into people’s rooms and standing on the edge of the field and showing up in the locker rooms. He’s trying to help. He’s trying to protect. He wants to be there in case Scott does something stupid (which he does, again and Again) to protect him, even after Scott REFUSED to help him stop a SERIAL KILLER because there wasn’t anything in it for him. Even after Scott fucking blackmails him by leaving him hanging on a grate with wires plugged into his side and his abuser on their way back to hurt him, he still helps him protect Allison (who watched him be tortured and did nothing. [He still has the capacity to acknowledge that it’s not her fault. That she couldn’t save him. He doesn’t blame her for it and he certainly doesn’t want her to die.]) He wants to keep his Betas safe. He stands in the parking lot waiting for them to test Lydia because he doesn’t want them to have to go through with killing her alone (and he only tries to kill her because she DOESN’T pass the test [although I admit it’s a dumb test] and because the kanima is KILLING people. More people have died and I don’t know how the fuck Derek manages to keep standing, let alone having such capacity for empathy and optimism and sarcasm after everything he’s dealt with. He’s constantly being hunted by hunters or humans, or fuck even Scott himself, since every time Scott gets upset he blames Derek for everything (I’m still fucking disgusted that he turned up at Derek’s place and accused him of murdering his own sister.) And STILL he shows up. No matter how many times he’s shoved away and ignored and yelled at. He shows up and he stands on the fringes and he waits for the chance to help.
And what’s creepy about that?

“I’ll see you soon.”  It becomes second nature after a while, that when something starts to go wrong, she calls Scott. It’s just, been that way for as long as she can remember. It was Stiles, and then Stiles was gone and it was her and Scott and Malia holding the line against hunters that wanted them all dead. So, even when she’s on the other end of the country, when something goes wrong, she calls Scott. The first time she forgets the time difference and Scott still answers, it occurs to her how absurd their relationship has become. Scott is three thousand miles away at college and its 5am in California, but Lydia is calling Scott because she has a flat tire and she needed to yell about it. He answers, laughs with her, reminds her that triple A could get to her a lot faster and then tells her to have a good day. They always end the calls with “I’ll see you soon.” It's a wish and a promise because for a while there, it wasn’t always a guarantee. Despite the start, it’s a really phenomenal day.
Lydia gets cornered in a bar one night. She has to knee him in the balls and then leaves. She's not hurt -- she’s fought and won against far scarier creatures than drunk college guys -- but she’s shaken and so naturally, she calls Scott. She can hear noise in the background and realizes he’s probably out himself, but he still answered. He listens to her and tells her how glad he is that she’s okay, and that the guy was a jackass.  He tells her it’s a good thing he wasn’t around or he’d have had worse than a knee to the balls. Lydia laughs, but she believes it. She’s seen what Scott would do to people who hurt his pack. Who hurt the people he loves. Does he love her? Does she love him? It’s hard to tell. All they’ve done for years is run. They spent their formative years running and fighting and now they’re on opposite ends of the country and it’s still Lydia’s first instinct to call him. And Scott always answers.  Jackson loved her, in his own way. He never quite found the words to say it, but he did. Aiden had been temporary. A distraction, a stop gap. Stiles loved her and then he...didn’t anymore. There one day, gone the next. Fun while it lasted but never meant to last.  Allison. God she’s never loved someone as much as she loved Allison. Malia and Kira were amazing, wonderful people, but by the time they came into Lydia’s life, she’d loved and lost too much for it to ever be the same.  Scott lost her too, she remembers. Scott knows what it’s like to love and lose as well.
Lydia whispers it, quietly, as she hangs up the phone. It’s pointless to whisper to a werewolf, they’re going to hear it either way. She does it anyway. A quiet, “Love you, I’ll see you soon.”
Her cheeks hurt from smiling when she hears him reply, “Love you too, I’ll see you soon.”
It’s when Scott doesn’t answer that she knows something is very wrong. Scott always answers. Night or day, despite the time difference. It doesn’t matter if Lydia is calling because she definitely just bombed her modern physics exam (which she didn’t , and he reminds her she’s the smartest person he knows), or if it’s to complain about the chip in the manicure she just got done (he laughs and tells her its a good thing she’s not a werewolf), Scott always answers. She’s in a cab to the airport, phone calls into Stiles and Derek and Malia before she can even think. She’s on the next plane to Sacramento with fear racing through her veins.  She will not scream for Scott McCall.  The hunters clearly underestimated Scott’s pack. They underestimated the brilliant human strategist, the full-shifting born werewolf, the fearless, deadly coyote. They definitely underestimated the banshee.  One of them is holding a gun to Scott’s head. Anger bubbles upon Lydia’s chest, its heavy and its intense and she screams before she knows what she’s doing. She’s faster than a bullet.  Everything after that is a haze of blood red flashing guns, but in the end they’re all okay. Derek took one to the arm but the bullet’s already out and he’s healing. Lydia’s sitting on the floor staring at what’s left of the body of the man who’d been holding a gun to Scott’s head. She wraps her arms around her knees and rocks gently.
She looks up when a pair of boots comes into her view, and Scott is staring down at her with those warm, loving brown eyes and he holds out a hand to her. Lydia takes it, lets him pull her up, buries her face into his chest and whispers apology after apology because she knows they try not to kill but she just.... “I can’t lose you,” she cries, her hands shaking where they’re gripped in Scott’s dirty tank. “I won't scream for you.”
“Hey, hey, shh.” Scott tilts her head up and rubs their cheeks together. His stubble scrapes against her cheek. It’s a wolf thing, the most wolf thing she’s ever seen Scott do, but it quiets a part of her that was prepared for rejection. “You saved my life, Lydia. It’s okay. I don’t even know how you knew to look for me.”  She looks up at him, knows she must look a mess after having not slept in nearly twenty four hours. “You didn’t answer,” She whispers, leaning her forehead against his chin, letting him take the bulk of the weight in her still shaking body. “You always answer.”
She can feel Scott’s face shift into a smile and his hands, latched at her lower back, move apart so he can run his thumbs gently along the knobs of her spine. “What was wrong?” He asked.  His smile is painfully fond when Lydia looks up. Malia and Derek and Stiles are moving around them, working on body disposal and somewhere, Lydia knows, Chris Argent and Peter Hale are on standby to help with the clean up and cover up. Lydia frowns. What had been wrong? Why had she called Scott yesterday? “I...I just missed you,” She answers. “I just...needed to hear your voice.”  Scott doesn’t say anything. Later, Lydia will blame the exhaustion and trauma of the moment and the scent of blood and gunpowder for how long it takes her to put it together. When it all finally clicks that it wasn’t just an obscure need to hear Scott’s voice she drops her head to his shoulder and lets out a dry laugh. “Oh.”
“You saved my life.” Scott repeats, resting his cheek against the top of her hair. “Thank you.”  “I love you.” Lydia whispers, keeping her head on Scott’s shoulder. She loves him. She loves him so much that from across the country she knew something was wrong and rallied the pack to save him. She’s loved him so deeply for so long she’s forgotten what it’s like to not love Scott Mccall.  “I love you too.” He replies, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. “I missed you.”  Stiles yells for them to quit being sappy, he’s got an exam he needs to be back in DC for and he certainly didn’t just cause most of the blood splatter.  Lydia smiles and shakes her head but finally breaks away from Scott so he can help Derek and Malia move the bodies out of the room and goes to stand by Stiles. Later, when they’re deciding where to go after they’re done cleaning up, most of them choose to go to a hotel room, but Lydia can’t bring herself to be separated from Scott just yet. When they get to his apartment, both of them blood splattered, dead tired and starving, Scott offers her the shower but she shakes her head. She doesn’t let go of his hand, pulling him with her. Scott’s eyes go momentarily wide but then she starts the shower and steps out of her clothes, watching the way Scott’s eyes roam over her. It’s gratifying in a way that eyes on her haven’t been in a long time. She throws a grin over her shoulder and steps under the spray.  He joins her a moment later, warm hands on her upper arms, another one of those featherlight kisses pressed against her now wet hair. She reaches for his loofa and hands it to him. He goes to work washing away the evidence of what they’ve been through from her skin. It feels different that it’s Scott doing it. It feels like absolution. When he’s done she takes it from him, adds more soap and swaps places with him, watching his face as she runs the loofa over his skin, washing away dirt and grime and sweat and blood. His eyes flicker red occasionally. His arms are resting on her shoulders, stretched out, hands clasped somewhere behind her head.  There’s nothing sexual about it for Lydia, for once. There could be, that much is obvious, but for now it’s about comfort and closeness and the warmth of the water and the way Scott so freely bares his neck for her to clean. It’s the way he runs his hands down her body, like he could break her. He could. He could break her so many ways without leaving a single mark on her skin. She trusts him anyway. She trusts him as he shuts the water off and wraps her in a towel, rubbing his hair down with one before wrapping it around his hips. Lydia brushes out her hair, braids it quickly, Scott leaning against the bathroom door like there’s a gravitational pull keeping him from getting too far from her. She accepts a T-shirt from him, pulling it on along with a pair of his boxers, climbing into bed, laying on her back, watching him pull on a pair of cut off sweatpants. He climbs in next to her, laying on his side beside her, one of his hands cupped under her chin, thumb brushing against her cheek. “Can I--” “Yes.” Lydia breathes. She doesn’t know what he was going to say. It doesn’t really matter. She wouldn’t have denied him anyway. The kiss feels like coming home.

Scott “I am an alpha! You have no idea what I can do!” McCall is not a victim of his peers and he doesn’t have a low self-esteem, lol. In fact, Scott actively mocks, uses, violates, and dehumanizes others and assaults his peers out of jealousy in the actual show. Stop trying to paint Scott as some sort of poor mistreated wooby who’s too good and kind for his evil ungrateful friends please
Hey thanks for the spite-writing session, y’know, that thing I told you last time was literally the only thing I had to say to you about anything ever.....the way you just....inspire me to write TW fic about what I like and not cater to your obsessive need to fight over your staggeringly dishonest takes, because lololol you really just do not matter?
Anyway, so here’s what I just wrote for the next chapter of my fic WWTA, that I’ve been struggling to get back into, so thanks for the motivation! I think this chapter has like, three more scenes in it, in case you’ve got any more pointless annoying messages you want to send me, to like, help me out with the energy to write those too!

Chapter Five
Freshmen were kind of adorable, Allison decided a week into the mentoring program. At least that was something.
The way Liam lit up as she and her friends made their way to the freshmen down the hall was particularly endearing. She had to keep her glare from surfacing and pinning Brett against the lockers he leaned against, right beside Liam, Mason, Garrett and Violet. What had begun as a way to repay the debt she felt to Scott while still doing her duty had quickly graduated to true protective instincts for the young teenagers. A slight shudder ran through her body as she remembered the gashes across Scott’s chest and the defeat in his eyes -
- none of us wanted this, but it happened and we’re stuck now -
No. That would not be happening to Liam and his friends. Not on her watch.
“Hello children. And how is everyone this morning?”
Lydia made even her casual greetings a regal proclamation. It was with no small amount of amusement that Allison watched the freshmen war between their instinctive reaction to being labeled ‘children’ and their awe at being on first names basis with the undisputed queen of Beacon Hills High. This was all wildly against the natural order of things. Her eyes drifted in Brett’s direction to find his narrowed at her, and her good humor evaporated. Ugh. Why couldn’t she ever have nice things?
“Everyone’s coming to my place after school, right? Your first archery lessons!” Allison cut in before any of the freshmen could muster a response to Lydia.  Brett flinched, and a dangerous grin worked its way across her lips. She might not be the only predator interested in these kids, but she could damn well make sure her competition knew she was bringing claws of her own to the fight.
“For sure!” Liam enthused. “I still can’t believe you know how to shoot a bow and arrow. And your parents are really cool with you teaching us?”
“Oh yeah, no big deal,” Allison shrugged. In truth, it hadn’t been. Even if her father might have had slight reservations, Grandpa Gerard had practically salivated at the notion of her starting a How To Kill Werewolves 101 course for local teens. He was already planning how to use this to start recruiting new hunters from Allison’s handpicked group. She wasn’t about to let things get that far, but Brett didn’t need to know that. Let him worry.
“I still don’t think Allison’s parents are the only ones who should have been informed of this little extracurricular,” Danny said. “Isn’t this the kind of thing that should require signed consent forms from everyone’s parents?”
“Oh, live a little Danny,” Allison said. “What they don’t know won’t hurt them.”
“No, but the sharp pointy sticks might hurt their kids, and then there are these things called lawsuits…”
“Don’t be such a Danny Downer,” Stiles said. He clapped their friend on the back, but his eyes were on her. “I’m sure Allison knows exactly what she’s doing.”
She smirked back.
“I can’t make it,” Brett spoke up at last, sparking cries of complaint from his ‘friends.’
“What the hell man, I thought we were all gonna do this?”
As much as Allison hated to admit it, she wasn’t sure she did know what she was doing though. She had her work cut out for her in trying to drive a wedge between Liam and Brett. The younger boy had latched onto the sophomore as a confidant before they’d gotten their mentoring program up and running, and Brett’s claws were already in deep. Liam idolized the kid, and it didn’t help that whatever she might know about the pack’s true nature, to everyone else they were simply the cool, mysterious bad-asses that everyone secretly wanted to know more about.
“Got stuff to deal with at home,” was all the taller boy said, deliberately vague. She considered that. Was he just trying to get out of going to a hunter’s house - not that she’d ever expected he’d show, really - or was that code for the pack would be up to something later?
“Family stuff?” Allison asked casually.
“More like chores at the group home I live at. My family’s dead,” Brett retorted. She wondered if anyone else picked up on the bitter menace underscoring his calm tone.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t know.”
“How could you? It’s not like peoples’ families being murdered by burning their houses down around them is an everyday thing. Who would ever think that was a thing that happened as often as it does?”
“Jesus,” Mason whispered in horror. The other freshmen looked as sick as she felt suddenly, and she felt her own friends shuffle uncomfortably behind her. That hadn’t come up in her research at all, but she didn’t doubt for a second that the werewolf was being truthful. The naked pain in his eyes was entirely too human for that.
“I didn’t know,” Allison repeated again. It wasn’t an excuse, it was just all she had. He snorted.
“Whatever. I’ve gotta go. Be careful with them, yeah?”
She bit her lip and nodded, wondering how much he really knew about what she was doing. Had Scott clued in any of his pack about her plans? He’d seemed protective of Brett, and the younger boy seemed to be one of the ones who followed his lead over Cora’s, but who knew how pack politics really worked…god, could she just have five complete moments to feel on top of things and not totally in over her head?
“Damn,” Violet said once Brett had disappeared around a corner in the hall. “I mean, I knew he was an orphan too, but I didn’t know he had…shit.”
“Well, he probably doesn’t advertise because he doesn’t want people gossiping about it,” Allison said. Jackson and Danny nodded in agreement, the freshmen looking thoughtful, but Lydia and Stiles were both just watching her, the same as they’d been through she and Brett’s entire little tété-a-tété. Feeling an abrupt need to be elsewhere, she chose the better part of valor and fled. “Look, I gotta get going too, but you all have directions, right? See you after school!”
Weak, Allison.
She circled the school, doing a lap across the quad and around the outer edges of the buildings to calm herself. Almost predictably at this point, her efforts were thwarted by the appearance of one Scott McCall sitting cross-legged on the grass behind the Liberal Arts building.

Miranda Otto’s Filmography as seen through a specific lens
otherwise known as: I watched some of these things so you don’t have to. But more specifically, I want to share basic information about which of her films and tv series require trigger warnings. Honestly, I’ve never recovered from some of them (thinking about In Her Skin... but also Homeland... because what the actual fuck, Saul?)
This isn’t a complete list. It’s only 21 of over 60 credits Miranda has to her name, but I think these are probably some of her most famous roles. Please let me know what you think of these brief descriptions, and whether anything should be added or removed.
It should go without saying that there are spoilers below. Read at your own risk.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina:  Zelda Spellman
A powerful role, but be aware Zelda is abused, raped (implied), and violently murdered (twice)
Downhill: Charlotte
I love this woman with all my heart, okay? Miranda Otto is supposed to be playing the most heterosexual woman ever, and instead manages to make every single scene gay as fuck.
The Silence: Kelly Andrews
Gets her leg mutilated (also it’s implied that she and Kiernan’s character would be made sex slaves by this random cult that shows up... which is super tasteful and not at all disgusting)
Annabelle: Creation: Esther Mullins
Face mutilated, eventually murdered (I think? It’s been a long time since I’ve seen this one)
24: Legacy: Rebecca Ingram
Powerful woman kidnapped, tortured, and violently murdered
Homeland: Allison Carr
Powerful woman violently attacked by her former lover in full view of her coworkers. Riddled with bullets while she is curled in a trunk.
The Daughter: Charlotte
I’ve made a whole post about how I think Charlotte was raped by her employer, and that it therefore shouldn’t be framed as a sexy affair… but here we are.
I, Frankenstein: Leonore
Powerful woman kidnapped and used as a bargaining chip. I’ve also made a post about this one, and how Miranda Otto claims this part could have been played by a man, but the blatant sexism around the kidnap and ransom—making a woman who is the leader of warriors powerless to fight back against her attackers, and having her rescued in a way that frames her as a damsel in distress (complete with bridal carry)—makes me believe that Miss Otto doesn’t notice just how much sexism was written into the role.
Reaching for the Moon: Elizabeth Bishop
While as a whole, this movie is beautiful and wonderful and one of my all-time favorites, we need to still acknowledge that Lota and Elizabeth were in an incredibly toxic relationship—which I actually think is great representation, because abuse doesn’t just happen between a husband and a wife, or a boyfriend and a girlfriend, it can happen to anyone with any partner.
Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries: Lydia Andrews
I unapologetically adore Miranda in this one. She is so convincing as the grieving widow that the plot twist caught me completely by surprise. This is perhaps the only role that I’ve seen Miranda play where a bad woman was brought to justice, but in a way that had absolutely nothing to do with her gender. Justice was neutral and exacted without prejudice, in this case.
In Her Skin: Mrs. Barber
This is one of the most upsetting and disturbing films I’ve ever seen. Miranda Otto is brilliant in it, but playing the role of a mother whose daughter went missing (and then was brutally murdered) definitely took its toll. I will never understand why the movie released an interview during which Miranda was clearly distraught. She breaks down into tears multiple times just trying to talk about this movie (which was a real-life murder case).
Cashmere Mafia (TV Series): Juliet Draper
Okay, I LOVE LOVE LOVE Juliet Draper. I would cherish her and dote on her for the rest of her life if she were my wife. But in the actual show, her husband is a serial cheater. When her friends find out about it, they don’t judge her broken marriage, but they do give her the courage she needs to leave him. They tell her she deserves more—and she does!! But in the final episode there is a pretty disturbing plot about a multi-millionaire who wants to buy not only her Hotel company but also her… which is exactly as bad as it sounds.
War of the Worlds: Mary Ann
Miranda Otto is heavily pregnant and glowing in a grand total of five minutes of this movie, but oh, what wonderful five minutes!!
The Lord of the Rings: Eowyn
This is the role for which Miranda is most famous. I have nothing bad to say about Eowyn, except that she ought to have been given more screen time, and that there shouldn’t have been that creepy plot about the King’s advisor or whoever wanting to have sex with her. It was incredibly unnecessary and frames Eowyn as a potential victim in the beginning, which was completely unnecessary in terms of character/plot development.
Danny Deckchair: Glenda Lake
Glenda Lake is a precious cinnamon roll, too good for this world, too pure. Please for the love of Otto watch this film for baby Miranda in a sweet romantic comedy.
Julie Walking Home: Julie Makowsky
I don’t understand this film at all. It has one of the most absurd plots I’ve ever seen. Miranda’s husband/partner cheats on her and gets caught, and then he gets violent (in front of her children and multiple adult witnesses!!), and then their son gets cancer, and then she goes to Poland, and then a Healer tries to cure her son, and it works for a while, and eventually Julie (Miranda) has sex with the Healer, in order to teach him how to have sex? and then she gets pregnant by this man, and then her son’s cancer comes back, and then the Healer runs for the hills, and then her former partner takes her back so that they can all be a family again....?!?!?!?!
Human Nature: Gabrielle
This film made Miranda popular with a lot of creepy old men (okay maybe just Bruno Barreto based on this interview… (seriously I am so uncomfortable with the way he’s like… oh yes, I knew her from that film... and then later *places his hand on her bare knee/thigh* Lowell doesn’t give a shit about (Elizabeth/Miranda) being awkward!
(the implication being that Lowell is only interested in getting Elizabeth into his bed...)
anyway… she plays a sexy French scientist, who isn’t actually French. There’s lots of lingerie, dancing, and kissing.
The Jack Bull (TV Movie) Cora Redding
Miranda Otto dies an incredibly violent death in period costume for no apparent reason besides generating male pain.
Dead Letter Office: Alice Walsh
Young!Miranda is so cute in this, but there’s a sort of ambiguously creepy older man-younger woman relationship… because Alice (Miranda) is looking for a father figure… and anyway I don’t remember this film well enough to comment more specifically, but I remember it being lovely except for the age difference between Alice and the guy in charge of the missing letters.
Doing Time for Patsy Cline: Patsy
I watched this purely for Miranda, and I do think it’s good, but only her part in it. Miranda plays the “busty bimbo with a heart” incredibly well. I remember being scared for her character, because her husband was a mean drunk/drug addict, but I don’t think any actual violence gets portrayed… but someone who has watched this more recently can correct me if I’m wrong.
Sex is a Four Letter Word
I only made it through half of this film before I turned it off. I wouldn’t watch it unless you’ve ingested/inhaled some substances and don’t mind people monologuing about their terrible sex experiences.
...
Let me know if you’d like to know more about any of these films!

Sorting Teen Wolf
In this system, we like to talk about Primary Houses (WHY characters do things) and Secondary Houses (HOW characters do things). Read more on our tumblr, at sortinghatchats.wordpress.com, or take our quiz: https://ejadelomax.itch.io/sortinghatchats
Scott McCall is a Hufflepuff primary: his morality (why he does things) is based in fairness, in people and the idea that every single one deserves consideration, in community and in loyalty. He’s a Puff secondary, too: his best methods (aka his secondary) (aka how he does things) are compassion, team building, and helping others. (Hello Mr. Every Time Someone is in Pain I Take it on Myself).
But Scott thinks the way he is supposed to act is brave, direct, and forceful. So he tries. He models Gryffindor, and he has nightmares about that particular bravery’s violent extremes.
Once upon a time on a little show called Teen Wolf, Stiles Stilinski told Scott McCall he didn’t have to save everyone, and Scott gave him the blankest, most incomprehending look imaginable.
Stiles is a Slytherclaw— the precise, ruthless loyalties of a Slytherin Primary acted out by a Ravenclaw secondary’s planning, strategy, research, and learning. The kid reeks Slytherin. Refusing to tell his father about the supernatural, to keep him safe, even at the expense of other people’s lives— Stiles only backed down then at the terrible might of Scott’s puppy dog eyes, which: understandable.
Let’s kill Jackson, says Stiles, because he doesn’t care. In Allison’s voice that would have the ruthlessness of idealism, not “he’s not one of mine.” I guess a good distinction would be this: Allison would consider killing Scott, if he was murdering people, and Stiles never would. (This is not indicative of a greater connection between brother and brother or lover and lover; this is just pointing out that Allison would do, first, what was right (she would certainly fight her hardest to save Scott, but if there were truly no other options she would sacrifice him).
Stiles’s morality doesn’t work like that. He would keep his father in the dark even if it meant letting people die, because his father’s life is more important to him than theirs. Stiles is a Slytherin with a very short list of people.
I think in the S1 Stiles might have modeled Slytherin Secondary on top of his Ravenclaw secondary. He’s into manuevering and deception a lot more then than he is in the later seasons— especially after the nogitsune.
“I’m 147 pounds of skin and bones; sarcasm is my only defense.” I think that says a lot of it— Stlies has been becoming more and more powerful in his own Ravenclaw skills, enough that he can rely on them instead of hiding behind Slytherin modeling. I’m not sure he feels safer (the world keeps getting more dangerous) but he’s been up against enough now to know that he can survive, and that what keeps him safe tends to be his steady mind and anxious preparations.
Lydia is a Ravenclaw/Ravenclaw who models Slytherin Secondary (eight million times better than Stiles does) and performs Puff (about as badly as Stiles models Slytherin—you can tell she’s putting it on for politeness, when she smiles and doesn’t mean it).
In this way, her and Stiles’s journeys parallel each other, which makes their friendship one of my favorites. They’re both slowly coming to accept and value their Ravenclaw— to recognize that this is a kind of strength and perhaps even beauty; and that it is theirs.
Until Lydia starts breaking, she almost looks like a Slytherpuff—or, well, a Slytherin/Slytherin with a Puff performance. Her Puff is really unconvincing. But her outward facade of Slytherin Primary is magnificent. Even in the first season, though, her Claw peeks its head out now and then.
(Also: it looks like Lydia’s mom is a Ravenpuff? Which makes me wonder where Lydia learned that she should be a Slytherin. Because she’s so ashamed of her Ravenclaw, early on, both the primary’s idealism and the secondary’s intelligence and curiosity. She has this idea that beauty and power are the things required of her and that she must fulfill them. Only her world shattering around her made her vulnerable enough to reassess and embrace her Ravenclaw. It makes me want to meet her father, or other formative influences in her life, and perhaps see what her mother acted like in that marriage).
Alison Argent takes up her family’s moral legacy and rewrites it in her own words. She does what she thinks is right in defiance of foes, friends, and family. When she decides what right is, when she has watched and learned the world around her and slowly, deliberately built her own code out of the truths she’s found there—then Allison goes after her goals with a single minded intensity and a direct, sometimes violent efficiency. This, my friends, is a Ravenclaw/Gryffindor and she is beautiful.
(ALLISON I HOPE YOU ARE ENJOYING BACKPACKING FRANCE WHILE YOU RECONNECT WITH YOUR COUSINS AND FIGHT FOR TOLERANCE IN THE HUNTER COMMUNITY. I LOVE HOW YOU CALL LYDIA ONCE A WEEK ON SKYPE.)
Malia and Stiles boned over their shared Slytherin primary, which delights me. Malia looks like a Slytherdor, but I wonder if she might be a Slytherin/Slytherin who’s living in her “neutral state” because she doesn’t give a toot. I think if Malia needed to, she’d be happy to lie, coerce, adapt, transform to get what she wanted. She just so far doesn’t think highly enough of anyone to manuever in any way but straightforwardly.
Kira is a Gryffinpuff, I think. She’s certain and forward and brave, and she goes after her goals with kindness and determination.
Derek is a Hufflepuff with a Claw secondary. “We’re brothers now,” he tells this young kid just because the kid got chewed on by his uncle. He is desperate for community (see: the terrible choices of the Worst Alpha Ever aka S2). Even when he’s creepy (often), even when he’s a failwolf (…more often), he’s doing things to help people simply because they are people.
But he was going to kill Lydia, right? When we thought she was the kanima. Yes, he was— to save other people. Scott, wasn’t, but they’re both still Puffs, because Derek is what happens when a kid like Scott loses hope—or gets a truer idea of the real world, depending on who you ask.
Scott doesn’t believe in victories that come with comprimises attached. He doesn’t believe in heroism with trade-offs and consequences. Scott was going to save Lydia. But Derek? One girl’s life to stop a monster? He was going to save everyone else.
(Which— he was wrong, it was Jackson, you failwolf. But I’m more interested in both of their why’s than I am in the realities of the fictional situation).
Derek, like Scott, also models Gryffindor and probably… shouldn’t. He’s worse at it than Scott is. Which, like, wow. Calm down kiddos, please. Neither of you wants to be alpha dog, not really. Embrace your inner pack mom. Take pain from people and take Kira leather jacket shopping and brush the hair out of Cora’s face and hold Lydia’s hand when she’s making hard decisions about what kind of person she wants to grow up to be. Here are your strengths, boys. Here is your heroism.
THE PARENTS
Melissa McCall, Mama McCall, the beacon of Beacon Hills, is a Slytherdor. Her son’s in danger? She will forcibly waken one of her own patients when she herself has warned against it. She will sit with Ms. Yukimura and wonder why their children have to fight this war. (Ms. Yukimura, who’s some sort of idealist House, will respond that otherwise they would be running and hiding, but Melissa will remain unconvinced because this is her boy).
Melissa’s a Gryff secondary because she is direct, no-nonsense, and doesn’t care if she steps on people’s toes on the way to her goals. She’s amenable up until someone gets between her and something she wants, or something she wants to protect.Melissa models Hufflepuff occasionally, sometimes at her job, but most often around her ex, which makes me wonder if Melissa used to be a Slytherpuff, or a Huffledor, but went “no, screw this!” at the same time she threw her husband out of the house.
Papa Argent, I think, House shares with Derek Hale: Hufflepuff (his morality is informed strongly by the people he loves: his father and sister, and then his daughter; the best argument to get to him in S1 is “Scott hasn’t hurt anyone yet”) with a Ravenclaw primary (plans, preparation, and knowledge), and a Gryffindor modeling because it’s what his family expects of him.
Scott doesn’t have that many Hufflepuff role-models, does he? His mom, who is extraordinary and wonderful, is a Slytherdor. You can get farther from Puff/Puff but it’s hard. He doesn’t particularly bond with Papa Argent.
The best role model is probably Sheriff, who might be a Puff primary, but who Gryffindor secondaries so competently. Gryffindor secondaries just aren’t where Scott’s skills lie. Or maybe he could find a role model in Deaton, who models Puff but I think Deaton’s really just a Ravenclaw/Ravenclaw. The Puff all goes away when things get serious.
No wonder the kid isn’t comfortable with his Puff. All of his heroes win their wars in other ways.
THE VILLAINS
Peter is a burned Hufflepuff. Literally. People who aren’t his family have ceased being people to him. He presents effectively as a rather nasty Slytherin, but I do think it’s ultimately coming from a Hufflepuff place. But maybe I’m wrong and he really is as simply and shallowly selfish as he seems. … yeah that’s quite possible.
Peter’s got a slimy Slytherin secondary, and he models Ravenclaw, which is the Chessmaster set up, the mold for the manipulative schemer who (would like to think he) is two steps ahead of everyone.
(This is opposed to just a Slytherin, where you get adaptable and interpersonally effective tactics, but no long term “mwuahaha” strategy, and just Ravenclaw (think Sokka. think later seasons Stiles) where you just have the strategist).
Gerard, the manipulative douchebag, is a Slytherin/Slytherin who performs Gryffindor to cajole people like Kate and Allison into following him.
Kate is a Gryffindor/Slytherin who models and performs Gryffindor. I’m so sorry Gryffindors.

Season 1, Episode 6: Heart Monitor
Hello readers! This chapter is about half way through the first season. This chapter has some really great Stiles x Reader moments. This is also the longest chapter so far! I hope you all enjoy and as always constructive criticism is appreciated.
Season 1, Episode 6: Heart Monitor
Pairings: Scott McCall x Twin Sister, Lydia Martin x Best Friend, Nate Wilson (OC) x Reader
Warnings: Some violence and mention of death
Word Count: 3,994
Season 1 Masterlist
Scott and I were just finishing up the grocery shopping. We both had our hands full as we were walking through the parking garage trying to remember where we parked. “Click the alarm, it will be faster than walking in circles.”
Scott nods then gently puts the bags on the ground pulling out the keys and setting the car alarm off. While listening for the beep, a bottle of milk rolled out of one of the bags, moving under a car.
Scott sighs then kneels to grab the milk, feeling blindly under the car. Before he finds anything, the bottle rolls back as milk spurts on the pavement from punctured holes in its side.
The bottle slowly stops as Scott gets off the ground and makes eye contact with me. “RUN”
I drop the bags and run, Scott and I moving in different directions. I am so happy I didn’t wear heels... After a couple of minutes of running I pause behind a parked SUV. I look through the windows trying to see if it’s following me, or it I can find Scott.
I can feel my heart pounding but can’t see or hear anything else. I slowly lean around the car and quietly move around the parking garage keeping a lookout for anything dangerous.
I then start hearing the sound of multiple car alarms. I take off running again, trying to find Scott. I know he has to be close to the cars but far enough away where he won’t be found.
As I run in the direction of the cars, I can just make out the sound of a cell phone ringing. I turn the corner just in time to see Derek reach down and pull my brother out of his hiding spot.
I take a deep breath as I throw my head back and slowly walk over to them. As I approach, Scott is brushing Derek’s hands off of his jacket, “What the hell was that?” Scott is angry.
“Yeah, I would kinds like to know that too,” Both boys turn to me.
Then Derek answers, “I said I was going to teach you. I didn’t say when.”
“You scared the crap out of us!” Scott exclaims.
Derek sniffs the air, “Not yet,” he deadpans.
I try to hide a smile, “Was that a joke?”
They both ignore me as Scott continues, “Well, I was fast, right?”
“Not fast enough.”
“But the car alarms. That was smart, right?”
“Until your phone rang.”
“Look on the bright side, your phone ringing distracted him from me.” I brightly smile.
Scott sighs, “Would you just stop? Please?”
Derek pauses and turns to face my brother, waiting for him to speak. “What happened the other night... Stiles’s dad getting hurt. It was my fault. I should have been there to do something. I need you to teach me how to control this.”
“I’m what I am because of birth. You were bitten. Teaching someone who was bitten takes time. I’m not even sure I can teach you.”
Scott takes a breath, “What do I have to do?”
“Get rid of distraction,” Derek grabs Scott, pulling out his phone and turns it around to show the display that says there is a missed call from Allison. “This is why I caught you. You want me to teach you? Get rid of her.”
Scott looks shocked and angry, “What? Just because of her family?”
Derek throws the phone, breaking it. My jaw drops as I look on in shock. “Getting angry? That’s your first lesson. Do you want to learn how to control this? How to shift? You do it through anger. By tapping into a primal, animal rage. You can’t do that with her around.”
Scott has his teeth clenched as he speaks, “I can get angry.”
“Not angry enough. This is the only way I can teach you. Can you stay away from her at least until after the full moon?”
“If that’s what it takes.”
Derek interrupts him, “Do you want to live? Do you want to protect your friends,” He glances at me, “Your family? Yes or no?”
“Yes. If you can teach me, I can stay away from her.”
I nod, “I’ll keep an eye on him.”
*_*_*_*_*_*
I was in my room texting Nate when I heard Scot’s door slam shut and not even a minute later he screamed. I quickly stood up and rushed through our bathroom and into his room just in time to hear him tell Derek, “You seriously need to stop doing that.”
“What happened? Did he talk to you?”
“Woah what? The Alpha? How do you know it’s a guy?”
They both ignored me, only sparing me a quick glance. I rolled my eyes, though I should be used to being ignored by now. “Yeah, we had a nice conversation about the weather.”
I move out of the bathroom door to sit on Scott’s bed as he continues, “No. He didn’t talk.”
“Did you get anything off of him? An impression?”
“What do you mean?”
“Pretty sure he’s talking about your other senses. I mean they are heightened no, use them to your advantage.” I state.
Derek nods, “Communication doesn’t have to be spoken. What kind of feeling did you get from him?”
Scott pauses to think, “Anger.”
“Focused on you?”
“Not me. But definitely anger. I could feel it. Especially when he drew the spiral.”
“He drew a spiral?” I questioned, knitting my eyebrows together.
I looked at Derek to read his reaction as Scott spoke, “Yeah. In the condensation. What You have this look like you know what it means.”
“It’s nothing.” Derek brushes off.
Derek goes to open the door but I scoff, “That faces says otherwise. You know, you can’t ask us to trust you ad then just keep things to yourself. Trust is a two-way street.”
Derek is adamant, “It doesn’t mean anything.”
Scott prompts, “You buried your sister under a spiral. What does it mean?”
Derek hesitates, thinking about telling us then answers, “You don’t want to know.” He then leaves the room as Scott and I glance at each other. I slowly stand up then head back to my room.
*_*_*_*_*_*
I was at lunch talking with Allison and Lydia. Allison was telling us about her history project and The Beast of Gevaudan. “The what of who?” Lydia questions, clearly confused.
“The Beast of Gevaudan. Listen...” Allison then flips through the pages of one her books and reads,
“A quadrupled wolf-like monster prowling the Auvergne and South Dordogne areas of France during the years 1764 to 1767. La Bete killed over 100 people, becoming so infamous that the king, Louis XV, sent one of his best hunter to try to kill it.”
“Boring.” Lydia states.
“I think it’s kinds interesting, but it is obviously fiction. I mean c’mon. A wolf-like monster.”
Allison continues reading, “Even the Church eventually declared the monster a messenger of Satan.”
“Still boring,” Lydia pipes up.
“Cryptozoologists believe it may have been a sub-species of a hoofed predator, possibly Mesonychid,”
“Slipping into a coma bored,” I gently elbow Lydia and she purses her lips in response.
“While others believe it was a powerful sorcerer who could shapeshift into a man-eating monster.”
“Any of this have anything to do with your family?” Lydia asks.
“Yeah, I’m confused too. Didn’t you say this was for your history class?”
Allison smiles then continues to read, “It is believed La Bete was finally trapped and killed by a renowned hunter who claimed his wife and four children were the first to fall prey to the creature. The hunter’s name was Argent.”
Lydia speaks, unimpressed, “Your ancestors killed a big wolf. So what?”
“Not just a big wolf. Look at this picture. What’s it look like to you?”
Allison flips the page, revealing a drawing of the monster to Lydia and me. The beast stands on two legs, enshrouded in mist, with red eyes and sharp claws. The bodies of women and children lie at its feet, looks of pure terror are etched on their faces.
As we study the picture Lydia finally answers Allison’s question, “It looks. Like a big. Wolf. See you in History.” She then gets up and walks away without another word.
Allison looks at me, “Do you think it looks like just a big wolf?”
I glance at the picture and sigh, “It looks like a classic werewolf. But Allison, it was obviously just a big wolf, or something similar. I mean these mythological creatures come from our history. Take mermaids, for example, they are really just manatees and dugongs. It’s how they got their scientific name Sirenia.”
Allison nods, “Yeah, I know. But it’s still cool to think that my family had a part in a classic myth like this.”
She then goes back to reading her book as I stand to throw away my unwanted food.
*_*_*_*_*_*
As I was making my way to the library I heard my name get called out. I stopped and looked over my shoulder to see Nate jogging to catch up with me. I smile, “Hey, sorry I haven’t been able to spend more time with you. Scott’s been going through some stuff and I’ve been helping him.”
“Really? Is it just Scott?”
“Well, Lydia too. With that whole thing with her and Jackson. I’ve been wanting to make sure she was okay.”
“So just Scott and Lydia?”
“Um, yeah?” I raise my eyebrow, “Why? Should there be something else?”
“I don’t know. You tell me.” Nate sounds accusing like I did something wrong.
I stop to think about what I have done in the last few days to see if there is a reason why he would be angry at me, “I’m not following... Did I do something wrong?”
“Well, I’ve seen you with a guy that I don’t know, twice here at school.” I knot my eyebrows together unsure who he’s talking about. “I think he’s older. The first time I saw you two together you were both getting into Stiles’ jeep. The second time he was talking to you buy your locker.”
I sigh in realization, “That’s nothing, he’s Stiles’ cousin. I’ve only seen him a few times, always with other people. Except for that time in the hallway. Wait, are you accusing me of cheating?”
“Well, what did you expect? You’re hanging around a guy that I don’t know and you’re not telling me about it. On top of that, you’re being secretive. We haven’t hung out in days.”
I scoff, “What do I expect? I expect you to trust me! I know I’ve been M.I.A. the past few days but I just explained why to you. I didn’t tell you about Stiles’ cousin because he’s not important. Don’t you dare accuse me of cheating! I would never do that, the thought wouldn’t even cross my mind.”
I turn to walk away but before I make it far Nate’s hand is tugging on my wrist, “Babe, I’m sor--”
I cut him off, “Don’t. I don’t want to even look at you right now.” I yank my hand out of his grasp. After a few steps, I turn back around, “And an ‘I’m sorry’ isn’t going to cut it. For you to even think I would do that...” I trail off as I shake my head then continue down the hall.
*_*_*_*_*_*
I walk into econ and head to my usual seat beside Stiles. As the other students enter the room coach starts talking, “Sit down. Sit, sit, sit. Lots to cover.”
As Scott sits in his usual seat and watches as Stiles goes to sit in between us he speaks up, “No Stiles. Take the seat behind me. Stiles,”
He gets cut off as Allison takes the empty seat behind him. She then leans over to talk to Scott, “Hey, I haven’t seen you all day.”
“Oh, sorry? I’ve been super busy.”
They continue talking for a little bit as Stiles leans over to tell me about their test with coaches heart monitor during their free period. Coach then smacks a book on his desk to get the classes attention. My head snaps to the front of the room as the coach begins.
“All right, settle down. Let’s start with a quick summary of last night’s reading. Greenberg, put your hand down. Everybody knows you did the reading. How about...” His eyes search the room and land on my brother, “McCall.”
I quickly ask, “Which one?” knowing that Scott didn’t do the reading. Coach glances at me almost like he forgot I was in this class.
“Uh, Scott. Summarize last night’s reading.”
Scott hesitates, “I forgot.” He looks uncomfortable.
“Okay, then. Nice work. Because it’s not like you’re averaging a D in this class. You do know that I can’t keep you on them with a D, McCall?”
He waits for Scott to say something as a few students giggle. I turn in my seat throwing a glare over my shoulder at the students.
Coach continues when there is no answer, “How about you summarize the previous night’s reading? No? How about the night before? How about you summarize anything you’ve ever read? In your entire life.”
Scott is getting flustered, I look towards Stiles who has coach’s phone out, tracking Scott’s heart rate. It’s continuing to rise and my only thought is that this is not going to end well.
“Anything at all. A blog? The back of a cereal box? The adults-only warning on your favorite website.” When he still gets no answer the coach continues in disappointment, “Thank you, McCall. Thank you for extinguishing every last flicker of hope I have for your generation. Next practice you start with suicide runs.”
The class laughs as Stiles and I keep our eyes locked on the phone. Quickly, Scott’s heart rate starts dropping back to normal. Stiles and I glance at each other then look towards Scott to see Allison holding his hand under the desk.
*_*_*_*_*_*
After class, Stiles and I quickly rush after Scott. When we catch up Stiles speaks, “It’s her.”
“What do you mean?”
I explain for Stiles, “It’s Allison. Do you remember what you told us about the night of the full moon? You were think about her. About protecting her.”
Scott nods along, still unsure of what we are trying to say.
Stiles continues where I left off, “So remember the lacrosse game? You said you could hear her voice out on the field.”
“Yeah. I did.” He nods again.
I take over, explaining, “That’s what brought you back so you could score. And then in the locker room, you didn’t kill her. At least not like you were trying to kill Stiles that one time. She brings you back.”
Scott pauses as he thinks, “But it’s not always true. Because literally every time I’m kissing her or touching her,”
Stiles cuts him off, “That’s not the same. When you’re doing that you’re just another hormonal teenager thinking about sex. See, you’re thinking about sex right now. Aren’t you?”
I instantly start shaking my head and rolling my eyes at Scott’s dazed expression. He snaps back into reality and apologizes as Stiles continues, “Now when she was holding your hand in class, it was different. I don’t think she makes you weak...”
I finish, “We think she actually gives you control. Think of her as an anchor.”
Scott nods in understanding, “You mean because I love her.”
My eyes slightly widen at his words. Scott himself looks surprised that he said it out loud. “Did I just say that?”
“You just said that,” I confirm.
“I love her.”
I smile along with Scott though Stiles ruins the moment, “That’s great. Moving on,” before he can continue Scott speaks up again.
“No, I do. I really do. I think I’m totally in love with her.”
“And that’s beautiful. Before you go off and write a sonnet can we figure this out? Because you obviously can’t be around her all the time.”
Finally, Scott focuses, “Okay, what do I do?”
Stiles starts pacing as he thinks, “You’re getting an idea, aren’t you?” I ask.
“Yeah.”
“Could this idea get me in trouble?” Scott asks.
“Maybe.”
“Is this idea going to cause me physical pain?”
“Definitely.”
I bite my lip already hating this idea, even though I don’t actually know what it is. Scott and I follow Stiles outside to the parking lot. Nearby is a group of seniors, laughing and smoking by their trucks.
Stiles pulls Scott to a certain spot, “Over here.”
“What are we doing?” I question, my voice laced with concern.
“You’ll see. Stand right here, Scott. Do you have your keys?” Scott takes out his keys, showing Stiles, “Hold them up. Now, whatever happens I want you to think about Allison. Find her voice like you did at the game? Got it?”
Scott nods as I realize what Stiles’ plan is. I take a deep breath and let my head fall into my hands. Stiles continues speaking, “Good. Keep holding the keys.”
Stiles then walks over to the senior’s truck, takes out his own keys and drags them along the truck, effectively scratching the paint. Once he finishes and puts his keys away he loudly yells at Scott, “Dude. What do you think you’re doing to that truck?”
The seniors turn around to see Scott holding his keys. Scott steps back and tries to hide his keys but fails miserably as the seniors start to make their way over to him. They quickly start beating him up as my hand flies to my mouth and Stiles and I watch the heart monitor.
Not too much later and Mr. Harris comes around the corner breaking up the fight. The seniors take off leaving Stiles and I looking at the heart monitor and Scott bloody and on the ground.
Scott sits up and turns to Stiles and myself as Stiles shows him the phone. Displayed on the screen is a normal, steady heartbeat.
*_*_*_*_*_*
Scott, Stiles and I sit in the empty Chemistry classroom as Mr. Harris grades papers. I can’t believe I got detention. I didn’t even do anything. I was just standing there!
Scott speaks, breaking the silence, “Excuse me, sir. I know it’s detention and all, but I’m supposed to be at work. And I don’t want to get fired.”
Harris, of course, ignores him, not caring that he has work.
Scott then leans over to Stiles, talking about what happened. I choose not to listen and instead continue to draw in my notebook and think about the fight I had with Nate earlier. I still can’t believe he thought I would cheat on him. I’m so angry and hurt, he better come up with a damn good apology.
After a few more minutes of silence, Harris finally speaks up, “All right, you three can go. Out of here.”
We quickly grab our things and head out of the building.

I was with Stiles at his place working on homework. I was laying on his bed while he was working at his desk, I was telling him about my argument with Nate, “Do you think it’s stupid, that I’m angry with him?”
“Not at all, I would be angry too if someone accused me of cheating.”
I nodded my head and bit my lip, unconvinced that I had a reason to be mad. “I feel stupid for being mad at him. I mean, I’m pissed that he jumped to conclusions but I also understand feeling jealous.”
“(Y/N/N),” Stiles sighed. He stood up and walked towards his bed sitting beside me, he slowly placed his hand on my shoulder, “You have the right to be angry that he accused you of cheating. That’s more than just being jealous. And anyone who knows you knows that you would never do that. Your feelings are valid.”
I slowly smiled then sat up pulling Stiles into a tight hug. His arms wrapped around my waist as I whispered, “Thanks, you always know what to say.”
Before he could say anything back his bedroom door burst open and the two of us sprung apart.
“Sorry... Am I interrupting something?” Scott asks looking between us.
“Uh no. What do you need?” Stiles gulps, rubbing his hands on his jeans.
*_*_*_*_*_*
As the three of us arrive at the school and get out of the jeep Stiles speaks, “This is a terrible idea.”
“Couldn’t agree more...” I mumble.
“Are we seriously going to do this?”
“Can either of you think of something better?” Scott asks with just a small glimmer of hope in his brown eyes.
“Personally, I’m a big fan of ignoring a problem and hoping it goes away,” Stiles replies as I just shake my head.
“Just make sure we can get inside.”
Stiles then yanks out a pair of bolt cutters just as a pair of headlights approach. Derek’s Camaro parks in a nearby space, he kills the engine and steps out from behind the wheel. As the three of approach him Scott asks, “Where’s my boss?”
“In the back.” Derek walks over pulling the door open allowing us to look inside. Deaton is bound, gagged, and blindfolded. “Comfy.” I deadpan and put my hands on my hips.
I turn to look at Scott and Stiles, “I’m going to wait out here, the school is creepy at night.”
As the two brunettes make their way over to the dark, empty school Derek turns to me, “Where are they going?”
I sigh, “You said that Scott is linked with the Alpha. He wants to see if you’re right.” I pause, “You’ll understand in a minute.”
As Derek and I wait outside, standing by his car we hear a very pathetic attempt at a howl ringing over the PA system. Derek slowly moves his eyes away from Deaton and locks them on the school, “You gotta be kidding me...”
A few minutes later a powerful howl blasts through the PA system, my jaw drops, impressed that he could actually do it. Derek looks impressed but definitely not happy.
He turns to look at me with a clenched jaw as I raise my hands, “Don’t look at me.”
The moment Scott and Stiles step out of the school Derek speaks, “I’m going to kill the two of you myself. Are you trying to attract the entire state to this school?”
“I didn’t know it would be that loud.” Scott tries to defend.
“It was loud. And it was awesome.” Stiles says, clearly happy with the howl.
“I said it was a bad idea but nobody ever listens to (Y/N),” I cross my arms, looking towards the three guys standing in front of me.
Scott’s eyes linger on Derek’s car. Derek and I follow his eyes and see that Deaton is now missing, “What did you do with him?”
“We didn’t do anything,” Derek replies.
He doesn’t get the chance to continue because the next moment he jerks forward. Blood spurts from his mouth as he rises into the air, held aloft by something dark and large.
I am frozen in place looking to my right. Stiles then pulls my hand as we all stumble away from Derek and the Alpha. We watch in horror as Derek’s body is thrown and slams into the brick wall of the school.
Tripping over our feet we race to the school. The two boys let me in before them, then they quickly yank the double doors shut. Holding them closed, we try to catch our breath as a shadow with glowing red eyes emerged from where we were just standing.

10 Co-Captain – August 1, 2011
They won the lacrosse game but Stiles never showed Scott is very concerned But this means they’re going to state
Allison congratulates him and then they have a moment and then Chris makes her leave
Its three days until Jackson’s deadline but its also three days until winter formal and Jackson says if he gets the bite he’ll help Scott get Allison back
Every time Scott got the ball he passed it to Danny So Danny accepts his apology For bashing his head in
Then the lights go out and things get spooky and Scott does not respond like a guy who knows he lives in a horror movie even though a lacrosse ball rolls creepily across the room
It’s just Derek Lurking in the showers Of the boys locker room Totally normal
Peter reveals that when he was in high school they played basket ball
“I am not helping you kill people” “Well I don’t wanna kill all of them”
“You’re on his side? Are you forgetting the part where he killed your sister” “It was a mistake. it happens”
Does Derek actually believe that or does he need to believe it or is he just hoping to stay alive long enough to fix things His face says trust issues
So he shows Scott his perspective and we see a bunch of people trying to escape out of the barred basement windows in the Hale house and we get the only time Laura ever speaks on the show
Is she name Laura because of twin peaks? probably
This song is very peppy for Scott being mentally tortured  And in bursts Stiles freaked out and with some news Scott already knows
And then we cut to Allison sleeping and the really beautifully shot dream sequence
And then Allison wakes up and realizes she’s lost her necklace And when she goes to her car to check Kate and her dad come in and she hides to listen to them talk Kate thinks it’s past time to teach Allison Chris keeps saying not yet
Jackson is blowing off some steam doing donuts in a parking lot and his car goes haywire And of course Chris is there to help
Then Allison and Lydia are walking through the woods with archery gear and Allison is very willing to go to the formal with Jackson because Lydia made out with Scott in the coaches office
Chris gets his creep on asking Jackson about the claw marks and now that Jackson knows he’s a hunter he is not keeping his cool Stiles and Scott ride in with some heavy metal to the rescue Chris removes his little, what is it, an emp device? And starts the car
Scott tells Jackson that Chris thinks that Jackson is the second beta Scott is worried about keeping Jackson alive Stiles is worried about his jeep And Scott is worried about stiles And it’s sweet That Stiles doesn’t see it
“It ruins your life” “It ruined your life”
Scott really hates being a werewolf Jackson really hates being human
Allison’s learning about incendiary arrows in the woods
“What if that nothing is something and the something is something dangerous?” “Shoot it.” And then she lets out a little squeak
Allison ends up shoot Scott with the stun gun He returns her necklace and she’s so happy
I love this song
She’s so infatuated with him but she cant handle the lying
God, Stiles even moves like that in his house He wants to help his dad with police work The Sheriff asks for an ounce of whiskey and Stiles over serves him hoping to find things out He is instant drunk Derek would apparently be easier to find if they had a picture of him We get to see Derek’s mug shot
The bus driver was the insurance investigator Terminated under suspicion of fraud The video store clerk who got his throat slashed Convicted felon history of arson The two guys in the wood Priors including arson What about the janitor?
Stiles feels like a bad person because he is a bad person getting his dad drunk
Allison comes over to talk to Scott
The sheriff gets drunk
“If Derek Hale wanted to kill all the people involved with the fire why start with his sister and why make them look like animal attacks?”
“Wild animal reports have gone up 70% over the last few months.”
“Like something’s scaring them out.”
And then he gets nostalgic and he misses spending time with his kid and fucking kill me, I’m thirty and I think this dad is my favorite character. And Stiles needs to make a phone call and the Sheriff says ‘I miss your mom’ and goes to pour more whiskey and Stiles stops him and this song is killing me with the Stilinski family feels The fucking wedding ring!
Allison tells scott that she thinks her family is lying to her and she starts to say something about Derek But then Melissa comes in all ready for her date and scott goes to get the door And it’s Peter Surprise, bitch
“The top five most impotent sounding threats”
How old is Melisa? How old is Peter? I thought he was supposed to be like, 28, 29 But they’re going on a date and she’s late 30’s Get it girl
Peter is trying to manipulate and threaten Scott into joining him by using Melissa God Peter has a great smile
And Jackson pumping iron to What is that? Heavy techno?
And then Derek gets his creep on by appearing yet again and changing Jackson’s music to something so fucking upbeat it shouldn’t even be in the same room as him
Jackson tries to front He’s bad at it
Hoechlin may have the world’s most perfect jaw
Derek psycho analyzes the shit out of him He’s recruiting for Peter And he’s smiling And I’m fucking shook
And of course Kate’s following them
Peter’s façade slips and he gets all weird about Melissa’s skin and goes a little red eyed And then Stiles rear ends them Cause sometimes Scotty’s got skills
“Whiplash! You hit us!”
Peter lets Scott know that he’s also after Jackson So he runs to help
Derek takes Jackson to the Hale house and tells him to go in Jackson’s worrying about the building collapsing Derek looks like somebody who’s trying to convince someone to enter a building to die with out letting on about the dying part
“It’s gonna be alright. Trust me”
Derek no one should trust you when you say that
Jackson tells him that he dreamt the house And realizes that he’s probably about to die and starts crying
Derek points out that the reason Jackson deserves it (is it the bite or to die?) is because no one cares that he’s alone in the woods with a serial killer
Fucking dramatic Scott
“Fine I’ll kill you too”
So was he planning on just straight up murdering Jackson to keep their secret?
And hunters
Derek was ready to kill you and three seconds later he’s willing to die for you He’s a complicated fellow
Scott gets shot in the chest and is immediately bleeding black  Where exactly did Jackson go? Scott made it out the back and Derek went out the front
And then Deaton finds Scott and carries him out of the woods to the clinic and fixes him He says 90% of the time he’s treating cats and dogs Is a doctor for other supes?
Kate takes Allison to a serial killer dungeon Which I think is the hale house basement
Again Excellent song choice
End episode ten

Han and Leia-(Stiles Stilinski)
Tumblr media
Characters: Pretty much the whole pack, Stiles Stilinski and (Y/N)
Pairing: Eventual Stiles Stilinski x Reader
Word Count: 1990
Warnings: None
Summary: Stiles and (Y/N) coincidentally match their Halloween costumes.
"Alright, listen up guys. We have two days to turn this somewhat boring yet stylish environment into a spooky house of horrors." I announce as I stride into Lydia’s library, interrupting the pack at geeking out over her house. Isaac's reading one of the many books while Stiles's playing around with a sword he found in a glass case in his room. I'm not even surprised, to be honest. This perfectly describes the two.
The pack stops and looks at me in shock, while Derek just looks like I told him I'm pregnant. He never has been one for parties. I roll my eyes at their expressions and stand aside in the doorway, making space for everyone to pile out. And I think that's when they snap out of their daze. Immediately, a few of them start talking over each other. But Stile’s voice is the loudest, as per usual.
"Whoa whoa whoa. What's this I hear about a party, (Y/N)?" Stiles sets his sword down. Well, that's what I said, right? God I swear sometimes he’s the most dense pack member.
"We're hosting a Halloween party and we can't cancel because I already sent out the invites" Lydia smiles, knowing that there's no way in Hell they'd let her do this unless they didn’t know about it in the first place.
"Who did you invite anyway?" Erica asks, a twinge of excitement in her voice. Ever since she’s been turned, her outlook on parties and social events has made a 180 degree turn.
"She invited just about half of the school. And Scott, you're gonna be the one hanging up cobwebs in high places. Go stretch." I glare at the poor guy and point at him while Stiles smirks in amusement a little.
"Now, get your keys Derek and Stiles, because we're going shopping for food and decorations. Oh! And costumes." Lydia explains and watches as terror slowly seeps into their eyes. This is the highlight of my week. This is what I live for.
I see Derek about to complain, but I give him one of my best bitchfaces which I've learned from him. "Derek, no. Think of all the nights I whined and complained because we either do research or sulk around all the time. I want this party and we are going to have this party, thanks to Lydia. I don't want anyone complaining, or so god help me." I growl at them, making sure I look as threatening as possible. But I'm as intimidating as a pink butterfly on a cupcake so I guess this might not be my best tactic. Although by the looks of it, it's working just fine.
"Now, guys get the cars running because we're turning this house spooky." Lydia grin as defeat engraves itself on their faces.
~Time about 3 hours~
"No way, (Y/N)." Derek exclaims, looking at the funny and ironic costume. What? It's pretty funny and awesome in my opinion. I throw the costume at him, basically forcing him to catch it. Next to him, Erica and Isaac cough to hide their laughs.
"Yes way, Derek. C'mon. Just once." I plead with him, watching as he has a mental debate with himself. And by the looks of it, I've won. He looks at me in defeat and puts the werewolf costume into the trolley alongside tons of decorations and food. Now, let's check on Stiles.
Speaking of the devil, Stiles appears next to me with a smirk and holds up a Han Solo costume.
"Well, I'll be sticking with this baby. Now, what's up next?" He asks as he sets his costume on top of Isaac’s police officer one with a chuckle. I think he's a little bit excited for this.
"Well, we still need to buy some alcohol, so Derek get on that one. Scott and Allison, take care of the snacks. I'll go and get some led lights. Meet at the checkouts in a few." I explain and turn around with the shopping cart to go and get my items.
~Time skip to the party so like... 45 hours?~
The two unimpressed boys and the half of the now-excited pack look up as Lydia and I enter the library in our costumes. Isaac winks at me, looking me up and down while Stiles’s face lights up as if he just realised who I was supposed to be dressed like. Scott even jokingly catcalls Lydia, who looks amazing in her mermaid costume.
"Wow (Y/N), I didn't think you'd have it in you. I know what you'll have in you by the end of the night though." Isaac calls out, muttering the last part so I barely hear it. Oh but I do. I glare at him and turn around heading towards the door. Over time, these comments have become harmless and only slightly annoying.
Any minute now the guests should be arriving. Lydia told them to bring alcohol and dress up in a Halloween costume, and I can't wait to see them look as ridiculous as Scott. I mean, c'mon. He’s is wearing a fireman's costume. And I guess there's never enough alcohol. I'll try and stay as sober as possible though so I can remember all the embarrassing actions these guys do and tease them about it later.
"Well, (Y/N), you certainly are living up to Leia. I bet you and Stiles will look cute when he comes." Erica comments, making me smile a little bit that she thinks that. I wouldn't have thought she'd seen Star Wars.
As soon as I reach Lydia’s door, there's a knock. Well, time to get it on. And not in the way Isaac always suggests. I open the door and see that it's Malia and Peter. But they're wearing costumes, which are pretty thoughtful to be honest.
Malia is wearing a nurse costume with blood and guts smeared across it. I hope they're fake. It's even topped with a little Red Cross hat and a scalpel. The dress is barely covering her backside and shows a lot of cleavage. Lucky night for Stiles, I guess, as much as it hurts me. She also has a small bag which looks like it contains alcohol.
Peter is dressed up as Charlie Chaplin as far as I can tell, and he's rocking it alright. He has a glass of wine in his hand which I'm not even surprised about and a pleasant smile on his face.
"Thanks for making it all the way here, just head down stairs. Others will arrive shortly." I say with a smile and open the doors further, letting them in and notice them check out the decorations in awe. Well, Malia is the one looking around in awe. She probably hasn’t celebrated Halloween before.
As if on cue, Allison, Aiden, Stiles and Liam appear in front of the door looking rather good, might I add.
Aiden is looking pretty amusing. He's like Isaac’s exact twin. From the worn sweater to the pink scarf, its like he fell out of his ass.
Aiden is sporting a Dracula costume, complete with a cape and fangs drenched in blood. I don't even want to know if it's fake or real. But ironic costume of choice, nonetheless, which I appreciate.
Allison has the striped yellow suit of the Bride from Kill Bill on. And let me tell you something. She's went all out on his outfit. It's pretty detailed, and I like it.
But what makes me chuckle the most is Stiles’s costume. He's wearing the Han Solo costume he bought a few days ago and that makes me laugh. Exactly the perfect match for my costume. He looks at me impressed. "I do believe this is a coincidence, (Y/N). Or maybe it's the universe trying to tell us something." Stiles smirks as the other three walk past, noticing how well in character he already is
I hear Aiden murmur. "Yeah, to suck it up and get a room" I'm not even surprised at his reaction. He just realised there's one less girl to hook up with. Not that I'm planning on doing such a thing with Stiles. Strictly friends.Just Stiles, my best friend who I’ve been crushing on for years.
Him coming dressed as Han Solo and me being dressed as Princess Leia is amusing. Time to see if he's a fake fan or if he'll stay true to his character.
"Well, do come in, scoundrel." I grin a little, almost as if I was trying out the waters. Well, in the movies Leia and Han have a lot of chemistry yet there’s merciless insults. Let’s see if he’s down to... Roleplay I guess?
If it were possible, his smile gets wider as he grabs a hold of my hand and starts kissing it. "You know playing hard to get will only delay the inevitable." An involuntary shiver runs down my spine as his lips connect with my skin. This is so unlike Stiles. I like it though. I start to laugh.
"Alright you two weirdos, the party's down here!" Erica yells from the library. I can sort of sense that she's already started downing our alcohol, even if it won’t do much to her. Oh, right. I pull away from Stiles unwillingly and let out a laugh as I walk into the room full of dancing people and the awkward Malia doing the 'white dad at a barbecue' dance. I leave the door open for others to just come in. This one will be worth staying sober for, even if it is just for a few minutes.
"Well, care to dance, Princess?" Stiles asks, not waiting for a response before he pulls my hand and drags me onto the 'dance floor', not once breaking any physical contact with me. Well, this night is weird so far. And we barely even started yet.
He spins me around in a few circles, not once breaking contact. “I love the costume by the way, nice job.”
I grin at him, my heart skipping a beat. He likes it.
“Why thank you. Yours isn’t half bad either, Solo.” I chuckle, and briefly pull away from him to grab a nearby bottle of some liqueur, before taking a few long gulps. Liquid courage, as Lydia calls it. I pass it to Stiles, who does the same, and then hands it to a passing by Allison.
His hands rest on my hips as a slower song comes on, the pack and a now more busy room pairing off to dance with their significant other. In this case, I’m dancing with my costume significant other.
For a few minutes, it’s just us swaying, before I feel the dull presence of alcohol, and let out a giggle. Without really questioning it, Stiles joins me, before we’re a giggling mess. I guess we’re loud to the point Erica and Derek stop next to us, her expression one of amusement and his of defeat, probably having been roped into the dance by his Beta.
“You know, it’s not really Han and Leia without the kiss.” She smirks, Derek rolling his eyes and pulling her away before she has a chance to say anything more.
Stiles looks uncertain, almost as if he’s having an inner battle with himself. I, on the other hand, seeing double, take a hold of my best friends face and pull him down for a deep kiss.
His lips feel soft against mine, hesitant at first, but then more eager than perhaps mine. I feel his arms wrap around my waist and pull me in a little closer, which I don’t object to. For a few brief seconds, it feels like it’s just the two of us. No pack members, no other high-schoolers and Derek’s old friends. Just my best friend and I.
All too soon he pulls away, but rests his forehead on mine, and his sweet breath fans my face.
“You have no idea how much I’ve wanted to do that for the past year.” He grins, his hands holding my face. My lips mirror his, a smile now present on my face.
“Well, Solo, I’m glad you got what you wanted.”

Merry Christmas, @yogi-bogey-box!
*****
The Prince And The Knight
Once upon a time lived a prince in a castle far away. The villagers whispered of a cruel uncle locking away the king’s sole living heir as to keep the precious crown of power on his head. A crown that was tarnished with neglect and lost over time. The cruel uncle was loving and warm in his life. The only cruelness was the hollowness he left in the aftermath of his death. No, it wasn’t the uncle that locked the prince away but himself.
All through the kingdom rang stories of a beast holding the royal hostage. “It’s not real,” scolded parents while children laughed about pet dragons curled around turrets. Three brave knights were sent to rescue the boy.
Not a boy no more he killed them. Or so whispered the village with fear as the only trace of the knights were their armor covered in blood and shredded like silk.
***
The days have been colder lately. The rusty wood stove leftover from a different time cranks out warmth yet only a breath reaches the tiptop of the old farmhouse leaving a chill in people’s bones.
“Everyone, get your ass down here,” comes Cora’s loud mouth. The stampede of feet down the stairs pulls Derek from his thoughts. He loves his life but honestly, five more minutes of sleep would be nice too. “That includes Derek too, you lazy ass.” She honestly knows him too well.
Stumbling down the stairs Derek is greeted by an army of teenagers. I guess this is his life now. Raising children who have no other home.
***
One little boy, in particular, was fascinated by the rumors surrounding the prince. They had met once about a year before the King had died. The little boy was the son of the constable and while being dragged along on very important business the two boys met. The one and only time they thought yet marks started to form on their arms linking the soulmates together by the universe.
Years later, not a boy no more but a man on the cusp of freedom the Constable's son risks becoming the fourth victim to the cruel prince in order to discover the secret behind how their souls became intertwined all those years ago. His father kind yet broken from the death of his wife only gave him a solemn nod and good luck as he ventured into the woods with only his closest friend to protect his back.
***
“Come on, Scott. We’ll go look around a bit and come home. Nothing to worry about.” Scott raises a perfectly plucked eyebrow at Stiles. (Allison and Lydia dragged him on a spa date last week.)
“Nothing to worry about? We’re going to snoop around the house of Derek Hale and his merry band of recluses.” Derek was known around town as an oddball with a screw loose. He does odd jobs to pay for the repairs on his decrepit farmhouse and all the teenagers he’s taken in but other than that not much is known about him.
“He’ll never catch us. Besides, it’s for my dad and he’ll be disappointed if I don’t investigate.” Stiles has started helping out around the station since he graduated a month ago and he’s very hands-on when it comes to mysterious cases.
“Fine, I’ll go but if it turns out that he’s a vampire or something I’m bolting before I’m bitten.”
“Scaredy-cat.”
“Smart one,” he corrects. Well, he’s not wrong.
***
“Sometimes the turret dragon disappears,” whispers the brave knight to his friend.
“Of course. It has to hunt.” He doesn’t believe in Dragons and crazy uncles. He’s way too boring to believe in fantasy.
“But it changes colors.”
“And sometimes it blends in with the castle.” He points to the towering structure leaning from neglect. There’s no dragon.
“Maybe the prince is the dragon.”
***
The Wolf is hurtling itself towards Stiles before he can think to run. One second he’s gripping the mysterious birthmark on his arm in pain and the next he’s being mauled by an animal. As its fangs sink into his throat it lets go and sniffs Stiles arm in wonder. Slowly the animal licks the dark brown swirl on his forearm causing it to shimmer gold before turning black as the wolf’s fur. As quickly as the attack had begun it was over.
Weird. He still has nasty bite marks so he goes to find Scott who’s sitting on the ground in bewilderment. “Wolf. Smell. Golden mark. Somethings seriously messed up here.” Stiles kneels beside him.
“Were you bite.”
“No. It was more concerned with the mark on my hip.” He stares at Stiles’s neck. “You’re bleeding and hairy.”
“Hairy.”
“Yeah. Hairy like one of those cheesy old horror films about werewolves.” It dawns on them. “Dude. They’re werewolves. You must be going through a mild transformation since you were bitten on the full moon.”
“Probably. Let’s get home and we’ll call Allison in the morning to help us investigate since her family is into that mumbo jumbo.”
***
The companions stumble back into the village promising never to whisper a detail to anyone. Fair maidens giggled about how brave they are while young men scoffed in disbelief at their tales yet no one noticed the soul marks glimmering like liquid onyx tainting their skin. The marks are covered with shame. No man wants a mark of the dragon for only soulmates are branded with the mark.
***
There’s nothing more undignified than waking up naked with an acorn lodged up your ass. “Damn full moon,” Derek mutters to himself trying to locate how far he is from the house. Luckily only over the hill. He starts the walking trying to cover his dangly bits as gracefully as he can muster. As he opens the front door Cora and Isaac both gasp. “I know I’m naked. Leave me alone.”
“It’s not that,” Cora looks away in disgust. “You’re soulmark has darkened. Sometime last night you found your mate.” Derek only vaguely remembers meeting some boys in the woods last night and in his rage biting one of them.
“Shit. It had to be the Sheriff’s kid. He and his little friend were snooping around outside.”
“And what happened to his friend?” asks Cora causing Isaac to go flush. He suddenly lifts up his shirt to reveal a delicate vine pattern extending from his right hip to his left shoulder. It’s ebony like the keys on the dusty piano in an untouched part of the house.
“I did. I wasn’t really aware that I had feelings and I can’t control myself in wolf form and-“
“Is he a werewolf?”
“I don’t think so.”
“Well fuck. While I don’t condone biting-“
“Even though you did,” smirks Cora.
“Fuck off. I was going to say that dating non-werewolves are a complicated matter.”
“Because you’re ex might be a werewolf hunter.”
“Shut up. Shit, we’re in trouble. Isaac, go put on shoes because we’re going to sort this mess out.”
***
A decree sent by royal doves was delivered to the constable’s son. He and his brother in knighthood were to return to the castle for once mates are bonded they become deathly ill if divided for long.
So the men started into the woods not confining in a soul other than one fair maiden who comes from a long line of dragon slayers for She foretold of an age of peace between the beast and the peasants. The only people who could bring upon this age being the knights themselves.
***
Stiles, Scott, and Allison are sitting on Stiles’ bed trying to figure out what everything means. “So what does the mark on my arm mean.”
“And my chest,” adds Scott.
Allison leans forward tracing the marks on Stiles. “Anima mea marcas.”
“And that means?”
“Soul marks.”
“So we’re soulmates because I really don’t want to marry Scott.”
“No. These are werewolf marks. Stiles’ are alpha marks. You can tell from the placement and style. And Scott,” She reaches for Scott. He lifts his shirt in curiosity. “Scott’s are from a beta which is odd considering they seem to be a strong one at that.”
“How do you know?” There’s a knock on the door downstairs cutting off the conversation. Peeking through the curtains they can see Derek and Isaac. “Shit.”
***
The Knights' arrival at the castle is met with hostile stares from the Knights lost so long ago. The rumored kindness of the Prince is gone and left in its wake is a hollow coldness.
***
So Scott and Isaac are making out in a bathroom leaving Derek and Stiles to sip coffee in silence. “So. Scott and Isaac seem to be getting along well. I thought I heard something about how both mates needed to be werewolves ”
“You’re incredibly young,” growls Derek in disgust cutting off Stiles’ ramble.
“I’m eighteen.”
“Barely. Why is my soulmate a fucking child?”
“What are you going to do about it. Sourwolf?”
“I’m really uncomfortable with you being so young so I have a deal. We give ourselves a year to become friends then we’ll date.”
“What if we hate each other?”
“Doubtful but it doesn’t matter. For our health and the happiness of Isaac and Scott we have to get along.”
“So if we don’t date we’re going to turn into bitter divorced parents.”
“Yes.”
“Okay. Meet you back here in one year for our second date.”
***
The prince isn’t cruel but misunderstood. He never had someone to talk to once his uncle passed until his soulmate came along. The pair explored the castle and the Prince’s heart too until his frozen heart grew puddles.
***
Turns out Derek Hale can be kind if he chooses. From watching bad romcoms to learning to play the piano together he’s warmed up to Stiles. To bad Stiles is slowly falling in love.
***
The prince and knight danced the nights away pretending they attend balls among foreign monarchs for the knight never knew what royalty was like. Though they knew it was wrong the pair started to grow closer than friends.
***
They were slow dancing in the living room when it happened. Derek had claimed that it was unrealistic for the people on the TV to find dancing in their living room normal and Stiles wanted to prove to him that it was cute. Well, Derek was being a little too cute and Stiles made the mistake of following his impulses and kissing him.
***
The knight flees on horseback ashamed of his actions. He should have never kissed the prince. Still, he can’t forget how his heartbeat when their lips touched and how it stopped when the prince ran his fingers through the prince’s hair so it wouldn’t fall in his eyes. He can’t forget what it’s like being in love.
***
He’s crying in his room and pigging out because he’s fallen in love and it hasn’t been a year.
“I’m just a child,” he groans. The knock downstairs frightens Stiles. He didn’t order pizza and Scott is on his weekly date night (Not that Scott knows how to knock.) He drags himself from his pity party to answer the door. On the other side stands Derek. He’s out of breath like he ran a marathon and he has flowers.
“May I come in?”
“I don’t care.” Lies Stiles.
“Actually I’m not going to come in because I only need to do one thing.”
“What?”
“Kiss you.” They’re pulled together like magnets. Hands are everywhere yet everything feels gentle and loving when it should be rough. Neither one of them wants to hurt the other. Derek pulls away slowly. “God I’m an idiot for making a stupid rule. I’ve fallen so madly in love with you I feel like I’m going to go insane at how much I love you.”
“Derek. I-“
“Make it quick Stiles.”
“No. I feel the same way. We’re such idiots.”

Teen Wolf Preference; Jealousy.
Featuring, Issac, Allison, Stiles, Lydia, Liam & Malia
Tumblr media
ISSAC hot damn hes atTrACtiVe holy shit LAYHEY
* Insecure bby
It’s just an assignment, it’s just an assignment, Issac thought to himself, trying to prevent his mind from thinking you just didn’t want to be with him. He knew he shouldn’t be having those thoughts but it was a fresh relationship, not even in it’s first full week. Issac had had a crush on you for the longest time, always believing you were way out of his league, and the harsh words his father had always told him never made it any better. “You alright?” Scott asked his partner, noticing the conflict Issac had in his own mind. “Yeah, sure. What do we need again?” pls protect
Tumblr media
ALLISON ARGENT
*Scary squad 1/2
Allison sat high up in a tree, her bow in her hand, arrow strung and ready to be shot. She smirked slightly as she saw the famous blue jeep approach her, its loud engine roaring due to the fact Stiles removed the muffler because he thought it would be cool. Releasing the arrow, she watched the front tire pop. She finally went up to Stiles, who was standing by the tire, wondering what the hell to do. The scrawny teenager didn’t know how how to replace a tire, or at least he was too weak to actually get the tire off of the back. “What the hell was that!” He shouted at Allison once he saw her. “Flirt with Y/n, my girlfriend, again, and next time I’ll do more than just put an arrow in your tire.”
Tumblr media
STILES STILINSKI
*More bitter than angry
Honestly you were proud that your boyfriend was probably the most chill person you knew. Prom was fun, up until Stiles stepped away to talk to Scott, leaving you alone. In the few minutes he was gone, one of the school’s basketball players had asked you to dance with him, which of course you politely rejected saying your boyfriend would be back soon. “I can’t believe he had the nerve.” Stiles told you in the middle of a slow song. “I mean, you are beautiful and all but have you seen me?” He joked making you laugh. “You are the most charming boy here.” You told him, making him do a goofy smile. “But no matter what, even though that boy does have nice butt, I would rather spend it with you, the most lovely girl in all of Beacon Hills.”
Tumblr media
LYDIA very beautiful sex goddess MARTIN
*Not angry, hella bitter
She wasn’t dumb by no means, her GPA shows that. It was the second time Alison just had  to work on a mission with you. Lydia rolled her eyes at how Allison begged Scott to let her go on a stake out with Y/n, Lydia’s girlfriend of several months. She wanted to throw up every time her best friend batted her eyelashes at the beautiful Alpha, the soft voice she always spoke to Y/n to. But right now that didn’t matter. Lydia’s lips were on yours, soon you ripped everything off Allison’s dads desk Lydia willingly sat not breaking the hold of your lips on hers, while you ripped her shirt off. The two of you both stopped upon hearing Allison awkwardly clear her throat. You turned around, a slight blush on your cheeks. “Oh yeah, babe I should um get going.” You told her, breathing hard. “We’ll continue later tonight don’t worry.” She spoke in that same flirty tone Allison always used, smiling pettily at the dark hared girl.
Tumblr media
LIAM BBY DUNBAR
*Does not know how to control his emotions pls STAY AWAY squad 1/2
He had to leave class, knowing that if he heard one more sly advance your class mate made towards you, he would be charged with murder. He knew you were loyal to him, that you weren’t going to give in but the thought of those vile words coming from his mouth irked him. He tried to remember what Scott had told him about how to calm down, not wanting to shift in the middle of the school day, or in the boys bathroom. It was working, up until that bastard had to come in. “So your the one nailing Y/n,” He spoke, watching Liam grip the sink tight. “Man, if I could-” Before he could finish Liam’s fist collided with the boys face, or more so it was the ripped off faucet he tore off. “Life tip buddy,” Liam spat, watching the boy with the now bloody face scramble away from Liam while the metal piece dropped to the ground. “Don’t piss of the guy with anger issues.”
Tumblr media
MALIA TATE
*SCARY SCARY OUT OF CONTROL DO NOT ENGAGE 2/2/2
“YOU WHAT?” Scott yelled at the girl, outraged for almost blowing their secret. Two days ago Malia was excited to share the extended class hour with you, but that was all thrown away when someone had to start making you feel uncomfortable, whispering dirty sayings to you and crappy pick up lines. The hour and a half was ruined, and Malia, never having experienced jealous rage before beat the kid up after school. Leaving the kid in the hospital for multiple broken bones and a concussion. But it did lead to some pretty great sex for you, so you tried to not comment on your girlfriends hell bent rage during the pack meeting. “It’s not my fault-” “Malia, you put the poor bastard in the hospital, so yeah it is your fault.” “I threw the first punch from behind, the one that made him unconscious so I doubt he remembers who attacked him.”

Sterek High School AU
Some high school AU’s for @dude-its-stars-hollow 💗💗💗
Don't Go Breakin' My Heart [i couldn't if i tried] by crossroadswrite (G 2k)
Contrary to popular belief, Derek Hale – co-captain of the basketball team and AP student who volunteers in the library – isn’t actually as smooth as people might think.
Shy Wolf by LadyDrace (T 2k)
Shy werewolf Derek Hale is new to Beacon Hills High, and Stiles falls hard and fast.
You Can Be My Lover, I Can Be Your Love by scepticallyopenminded (G 2k)
Which is why he’s so confused when she and Stiles Stilinski start dating, because he’s had an epic crush on Stiles since they’d started sitting together at lunch the previous semester (that had to do with Stiles’ friendship with Lydia, who was good friends with Laura, and the fact that Stiles’ best friend was dating Allison, who was Lydia’s best friend).
And if Laura knows about his crush on Stiles, she definitely wouldn’t be dating him. In fact, he’s one hundred percent positive that if he tells Laura that he had a crush on Stiles she’ll break up with him immediately, but he doesn’t do that, because if Laura’s happy he doesn’t want to ruin it for her, even if it means that it broke his heart every time Stiles came over and they went into her room under the pretext of “studying”.
Brick by Brick by bleep0bleep (T 3k)
Stiles eats his hot dog slowly, mesmerized by the incredible detail, and also in particular, there's a hot bearded guy adding more Legos to the scene, including a crowd of Lego people at a train stop. Now Lego Hottie is adding what looks to be a custom built space ship to the train scene, and is affixing it to the ceiling with wire so it is flying above the train-- oh my God, Lego Hottie is building a scene from Firefly.
All the broken hearts in the world still beat by dragon_temeraire (T 3k)
Stiles totally needs to make Lydia Martin jealous. Yeah. And his best chance is to convince star lacrosse player Derek Hale to (fake) date him.
"Five Days in Detention" (A Future Song by Stiles Stilinski) by alisvolatpropiis (3k)
It’s still preseason, sure, but he needs to be practicing. He led the team to the State semifinals last year, and he’s determined to not only make it to the finals this year, but to win the title. He should be on the field right now, practicing his play calls and prepping for next week’s season opener against Saint Pius.
And he can’t do that if he’s wasting his time in detention with these losers. There are a couple of burnouts lazing over some seats by the window, one kid with his face on a desk, hood over his head, and a few Goth kids are sitting in the back corner, looking surly and morose. Maybe you wouldn’t be so miserable if you didn’t listen to such shitty music, he thinks, turning towards his usual seat in the back of the room.
He pauses for the briefest of moments when he sees who’s already sitting there, in the second-to-last row, black-clad limbs spread out, acoustic guitar in his lap, long fingers casually plucking at the strings.
Stiles Stilinski.
It's Too Early For This by thepsychicclam (T 4k)
Derek loves his job at the coffee shop, especially because Stiles comes in for coffee before early Saturday morning lacrosse practices. The problem is that Derek is too shy to do anything about his crush, and the situation is not helped by the rivalry between the basketball and lacrosse teams.
Of Glasses And Lacrosse Sticks by charlesdk (T 6k)
“Okay, how 'bout this? One date, just one date, and if you still don't believe I'm genuinely interested in you, then I'll leave you alone for good. How does that sound?”
Derek hesitated for another moment, before he sighed and said, “Fine. One date.”
We Should Just Kiss (like real people do) by i_am_girlfriday (T 9k)
Stiles is the social zero of the sophomore class. Derek is the much cooler junior who befriends Stiles anyway.
It's Always Been You, Dumbass by stilinskisparkles (T 11k)
“Alright, cool, we should go,” Stiles says breezily, dusting off his hands as he stands.
“We should?”
“Yeah!”
“But… Do you even care about photography?”
“Not as much as I should,” Stiles plants both his hands on the table, bracketing Derek in, “You’ll have to correct my miscreant ways.”
A Thousand Fiery Suns of Angst - Just Press Play by apocryphal (T 20k)
All Stiles wants from life is to learn to control his magic, keep his grades up, and not die horribly while saving Beacon Hills from supernatural threats. It's all going pretty well until Derek Hale, werewolf extraordinaire, has to go and ask him on a date. That asshole.
So Shed Your Skin and Lets Get Started by halfhardtorock (E 21k)
He's sixteen and in the woods on the wrong side of the town-line and he's so fucking fucked.
He knows he's not supposed to run, they teach that to you in preschool (don't run from a Were, back away slowly and walk with care), but they never told you how it would feel, standing alone in the dark with your heart beating in your throat as those glowing eyes tracked you from the shadows.
I Feel We're Close Enough by samann98 (E 55k)
The one in which Derek and Stiles are childhood friends, their freshman year of high school Derek makes the craziest suggestion ever, and four years later Stiles decides to take him up on it.

[My Teen Wolf Master List]
Tumblr media
"Come on," Liam whispered to himself as the phone rang for the fourth time. "Pick up the damn phone," He whispered before someone answered.
"You better be dying. It's fucking 3 in the morning," an angry voice scowled; completely annoyed someone woke him up from his sleep.
"Isaac, I wouldn't call unless it's important," Liam said. Isaac not only heard the seriousness in Liam's voice, but his rapid heartbeat too. He knew something was wrong.
"Is she okay?" Isaac immediately asked as he sat up from his bed.
"Y/N's fine, but she's not okay," Liam sighed.
"What do you mean?" Isaac asked confused.
"She misses you like crazy. She hasn't been the same since you left and with everything going on lately, she seems to miss you more," Liam explained with a heavy sigh.
Since Isaac left, Liam has done everything he could to cheer up his older sister and even though it would work for just a few minutes, her mind always wondered back to Isaac. It's been a little over a year since he left and she still hasn't been the same since. Liam missed his sister, who had a smile on her face all the time, and used to laugh at all the stupid jokes Liam came up with.
"Liam-"
"Scott found a map with all the Nemetons around the world. You know what's been going on, right?" Liam asked Isaac.
"No," Isaac answered. "Well, sort of, but not really. Jackson, Ethan, and I found several werewolves murdered. We're trying to figure out why it's happening, but we can't seem to find an answer."
"Long story short, Gerard is creating an army around the world to kill every supernatural in the planet. He wants genocide," Liam explained.
"Fuck," Isaac whispered as he ran his hand over his face. "That's possibly why Jackson and Ethan hasn't answered any of my calls lately. I found their apartment completely trashed and I've been trying to find them for days."
Liam sighed, hating the idea the war has also started on the other side of the world. As worried as he was, he was relieved to hear Isaac is okay.
"Okay, what do you need from me, Liam? What does Scott need? More importantly, what does she need from me?" Isaac asked already getting out of bed.
"I need you to get on a plane back home."
"What?" Isaac asked, not hearing correctly.
"I bought you a ticket to come home and see Y/N. I need you two to see each other before it happens."
"Before what happens," Isaac asked with fear. Isaac's panic grew every second Liam didn't answer. "Liam! What aren't you telling me?!" He asked eagerly.
"Lydia saw something," Liam bit his lip nervously as his mind went back to the day before when Lydia came to Liam completely horrified. He shook his head, trying to shake off the memory.
"What did she see?!" Isaac snapped. Fear washed over him knowing Lydia's banshee visions were never a good sign.
"She saw everyone dying," Liam swallowed hard. "Peter, Derek, Jackson, Ethan, Malia, Scott... and Y/N."
Isaac's heart dropped. "No," he said refusing to believe it. "No. There's no fucking way they're all dying, especially Y/N," Isaac whispered the last part, too scared to believe Lydia's death vision might come true.
His mind wondered back to the night they lost Allison. No one expected it, not even Lydia. She didn't see it coming. She only felt it as she screamed out her best friend's name loud enough for the werewolves outside the building to hear, but it was already to late. Allison was dying in Scott's arm, and Isaac will be damned to let the same situation happen with Y/N.
"Why didn't you buy her a ticket? Wouldn't she be safer here? With me?" Isaac asked.
Even though Isaac couldn't see him, Liam shook his head. "It doesn't matter. There's too many hunters and not enough of us. I've never doubted Scott. He always has a plan, but Lydia's never been wrong either. So, if this does happen-," Liam shook his head again, before he corrected himself. "When this does happen, I would like Y/N to see you one last time..." Liam trailed.
Isaac swallowed hard while trying to fight back the tears forming in his eyes. He couldn't believe it. He didn't want to see her this way. However, if Liam was right and Lydia's prediction would came true, Isaac would never forgive himself for if he didn't get on the plane back to Beacon Hills.
"Okay," Isaac barely whispered.
"Your plane isn't arriving at Beacon Hills. You're landing in a town an hour away. Don't worry, I got you a rental car too."
"Why not Beacon Hills?" Isaac asked.
"Because I have no doubt Ms. Monroe has hunters working inside the airport and they wouldn't hesitate to kill you. She's given orders to kill any supernatural on site."
"Who's Monroe?"
"Gerard's little minion," Liam answered. "Oh, before I forget. We're dealing with a monster called the Anuk-ite. I don't have time to catch you up on everything, but just know if you all of a sudden feel fear, the Anuk-ite coming for you. You have to close your eyes or you'll die."
"What?!"
"Close your eyes and fight it blind!" Liam repeated.
"What the bloody hell has been going on down there and why didn't anyone call me?!" Isaac snapped back.
"Like I said. It's a long story. Just get on the plane, Isaac. I'll see you in a few hours," Liam said before he hung up on Isaac.
As soon as Liam hung up, Isaac quickly got dressed and packed a bag before rushing to the airport. About 12 hours later, the plane landed in California. Isaac immediately called everyone, but no one answered. Not one person, which, of course, didn't calm his nerves. Isaac turned an hour drive from the airport to Beacon Hills into a 30-minute drive. He was a nervous wreck and he needed to get to Beacon Hills as soon as possible. It helped that the roads were completely empty, but Isaac knew that wasn't a good sign.
Driving down the old familiar roads of Beacon Hills sent a shiver down Isaac's spine. It was almost a dead town. Nothing and no one was in sight. This wasn't the Beacon Hills he remembered. He didn't think it was this bad.
He had gone to Y/N's house first, but no one was there. It seemed like no one had lived there in days, which worried Isaac even more. The next place he went was Scott's. He could smell everyone's scents, including Y/N's. When he searched the house, he noticed no one else was home, but everyone's stuff was there. Isaac assumed they were all staying at Scott's.
Isaac pulled the car into an empty parking lot at Beacon Hills High School. He was worried no one else here as well, but he wasn't about to leave without checking first. Isaac turned off the rental car and jogged to the school without so much as locking the doors.
He opened the double doors that led down an old familiar hallway. From a distance he saw a statue. Isaac swallowed hard before he slowly approached it. As he got closer, he realized it was Peter. As much as he disliked Peter, Isaac couldn't believe he was dead.
Isaac continued to walk down the hallway and turned a corner to a different hallway. He saw another statue. Isaac immediately noticed it was another male. He was built and lean. He'd only hope it wasn't the man who turned him into a werewolf. He took a deep breath before he stood in front of the statue. His breath hitched when he saw Derek.
"Damn it, Derek. Why did you have to open your eyes?" Isaac whispered to himself. He lifted his hand to touch the statue, but quickly pulled back. He was afraid Derek would crumble into pieces if he touched it. Isaac let out a deep sigh before he turned around and faced another set of double doors. He opened them and took one step before seeing another statue. He stumbled back as he realized it was a girl this time. His heart dropped at the thought of it being Y/N, but as he got closer, he realized it wasn't her. His muscles relaxed before he approached the frozen statue. Although he never met her, he knew it was Malia from the pictures Scott sent in his emails.
Isaac continued to walk down the hallway and decided to go into the boys' locker room. He couldn't find Coach, but when he turned away from Coach Finstock's office, he immediately saw two more statues. He didn't have to look up close to know who they were. They were the two friends he had been trying to look for the past couple of days, Jackson and Ethan.
"Fuck," Isaac mumbled under his breath before he walked out. He looked up and saw the girls' locker room. The memories of sneaking into the girls' locker room after lacrosse practice crossed Isaac's mind. At the time, she was the only girl on the lacrosse team; and after practice, the girls' locker room would be empty. Sneaking Isaac in always led to heated make out sessions, as they both could never keep their hands off each other.
Isaac's smile faltered when he realized he had to walk in and check if anyone was in there. His stomach turned as his heart pounded fast with fear. He didn't know what that meant. He was scared, but not too terrified to have his eyes closed. It was one of those moments where he had a feeling something terrible was behind that door and he silently prayed it wasn't Y/N frozen as a statue.
Isaac took a deep breath before opening the door and walked in. He took a few steps before he immediately stop in place. His eyes landed on another statue. His eyes scanned the girl's body figure and he knew who it was. He didn't have to walk around and face it in order to know who it was. Tears immediately welled up in Isaac's eyes, as he whispered 'no' repeatedly to himself. Tears slowly slid down Isaac's cheeks as his eyes landed on Y/N's frozen face. His heart broke. He cursed himself for not getting here sooner. He hated himself for leaving her in the first place.
"Oh, baby," Isaac whispered. "I'm so sorry." More tears made their way down his cheeks. "I should have been here for you," he said with a shaky breath. "I should have never left you... I still love you." Isaac's vision was blurry. He batted his eyes before his eyes landed on the only girl he ever loved.
Isaac reached up to touch her cheek, but before he had the chance, Y/N's statue started cracking. Isaac's eyes grew wide with fear. "No, no, no," he repeated as his hands immediately flew up, ready to catch the pieces.
Pieces of stone started falling off as Y/N slowly came back to life. Her eyes flew wide open before she gasped for air. She nearly lost her balance and stumbled forward as she wasn't expecting to come back alive. Before she could fall and land on her face, Isaac immediately wrapped his arms around her waist. She looked up and instantly locked her eyes with her favorite pair of baby blue eyes she hadn't seen in a while.
"Isaac," she breathed, smelling his woodsy scent. She couldn't believe it was him. She was beginning to think she was daydreaming about him again. She grabbed a fist full of his shirt before she looked down at her hands. It's real, she thought to herself before she heard his rapid heartbeat. He's real.
"It's really you..." she whispered.
"Yeah, baby, it's me," Isaac nodded with a chuckle as more tears formed in his eyes. "Are you okay?" He asked as his eyes scanned her body, checking for any injuries.
"I'm fine," she whispered again, too scared to talk and ruin this dream of hers.
"I'm so sorry," Isaac began. "About everything. About leaving, about coming here la-"
Y/N meshed her lips with his. Isaac was taken back as he was not expecting her to kiss him so soon. He didn't kiss her back at first, which almost made Y/N pull back. Before she had the chance to push herself away from him, he pulled her to his chest and kissed her back with so much passion and making up for lost time. Her hand slipped to the nape of his neck, tugged his hair, and deepened the kiss. When their lungs began begging for air, they pulled back with their foreheads pressing against each other's.
"You came back," she whispered against his lips.
"Yeah, I did."
"Why?"
"Your brother called," Isaac swallowed hard before she interrupted.
"Liam?" She asked. She shook her head and pushed that thought aside. "Okay, timeout," she unraveled herself from his arms and made a timeout sign with her hands. "We'll talk about this later. Right now, we have to find everyone else. We have to find Scott."
"Okay," Isaac said as he intertwined his fingers with hers and walked out of the locker room together to find Scott.
Liam opened the front door to the house and gestured Y/N and Isaac to walk in first. They walked in with their hands still interlocked. Isaac hasn't let go of her hand and she wasn't planning on letting go of his hand either.
Liam closed the door behind him before turning around to face his older sister and Isaac. "I'm guessing you two have a lot to talk about."
"I'd like to start with you first," Y/N said, taking Liam by surprise. "Why did you call him?"
Liam looked down and began fidgeting with his fingers. "Because you haven't been the same since he left. You just seemed to get sadder each day. You weren't the same Y/N I know and love. I thought with everything going on," Liam sighed before he continued, "I just wanted to give a few minutes of happiness before everything Lydia saw came true..."
Y/N let go of Isaac's hand and walked over to her little brother. She pulled him in and wrapped her arms around him for a tight hug. "I love you, you know that, right?"
"I love you, too," Liam said as he hugged her back.
"And you're the best brother in the whole wide world."
"I know," he said, earning a chuckle from both Y/N and Isaac. He pulled back. "I'll give you two some privacy. I'll be at Scott's to see how he's holding up." Liam locked the door behind him and left Y/N and Isaac to themselves.
Isaac was about to say something when Y/N grabbed his hand and led him to her bedroom. She closed her bedroom door and sat in her bed, patting the empty space next to her and signaling Isaac to sit with her. They sat in silence for several minutes, not sure where to start.
Isaac grabbed her hand and began playing with her fingers, something they both missed. Y/N always hated her short chubby fingers. Isaac always thought they were cute and a perfect fit when he intertwined their fingers together.
"I'm sorry, Y/N," Isaac finally whispered and apologized again. "I'm sorry I left. I'm sorry it took Liam's 'Lydia saw a vision and Y/N's going to die' phone call to get here."
"Isaac-"
"No, please let me finished, baby." The old familiar nickname made Y/N's heart skip a beat and her stomach flip. "It shouldn't have taken me this long to come back. I should've come back sooner, especially when I missed you every single day. I know I left for selfish reasons-"
"You had every right to leave though, Isaac. I wasn't going to hold you back from what you thought was best for you at the time, even if I knew letting you go was going to hurt like hell," Y/N interrupted as she squeezed his hand before placing her other free hand on top of theirs.
"That's just the thing though. I thought it was best for me, but it wasn't. I was miserable without you. There were so many times I've wanted to call, write, and email you. Hell, there were times when I wanted to hop on a plane just to see you again, but I didn't. I knew coming back would hurt too much, especially if you did moved on."
"But I didn't."
"I know and now I don't know where that leaves us or if you'll ever forgive me for being so incredibly stupid," Isaac mumbled as he looked down at their hands, unable to look at Y/N.
Y/N removed her hands from his and cupped his cheeks before lifting his head to look at her. "What do you want, Isaac?"
"What do you want?" He asked.
She shook her head. "This isn't about me. This is about you. What do you want?"
"You."
Y/N smiled at Isaac. "What else do you want?"
"I don't want to go back to France."
"What else?" She asked as she leaned in.
"I want to be here, back home with you," Isaac whispered as he leaned in and closed the distance between the two.
Their lips moved in perfect sync as old familiar feelings resurfaced. Their hearts were out of control and were ready to explode out of their chests. Y/N's hands left Isaac's cheeks and wrapped her arms around his neck, bringing him closer. Isaac cupped her cheek to deepen the kiss as he slowly leaned her back on her bed. When the burning sensation in their lungs became too much, Isaac pulled away with his forehead resting against hers.
"I love you," he whispered against her semi-swollen lips. "I never stopped."
Y/N's lips formed a smile. "I never stopped loving you either, babe."
Isaac buried his face at the crook of her neck and wrapped his arms around her figure. Y/N accepted his warm embrace and ran her fingers through his soft brown curls, another thing they both missed.
"Isaac?" She whispered. Isaac hummed in response as he traced random shapes at her exposed skin above her jeans. "Please don't ever leave me again," she whispered.
"Never," he promised with a kiss against her neck.
