Thank you so much! I keep telling myself the recovery is happening faster than the first time I got COVID in 2020 (might even be well enough to go sit in a bookstore for my birthday on Wednesday!), but damn is it still taking a while. 😪

And it really is, like holy shit, it's perfect for sick and can barely move! I already had, like, my super sick comfort show (Great British Baking Show) - peaceful, calming, wholesome, fun food, and it was basically on 24/7 for the first few super sick days. But I did NOT know there was what feels like a gaming equivalent, moodwise. 😂 Like you said, it's perfect when you can barely move, just medded up and out of it, but there are COWS to pet and you can plant SEEDS and look at this little HARVEST FESTIVAL, will you win this year??? Look at all these characters with their backstories! You can fix the community center with FOOD. I'm deep down the rabbit hole now, 100% my super sick comfort game 🥰

real talk though; if i could surgically remove the Bruce & Alfred scenes out of Gotham TV and make an entire separate Batman project out of them i would, because they're so distinctly different from the rest of the show and from the common Batman comic narratives, it floors me everytime. If we take the whole show as a body, the heart is placed in Bruce Wayne and it bleeds into his relationships with people, but most importantly with Alfred. It's such stark and exciting constrast to how Batman comics generally portray Bruce Wayne or the Batman persona; Gotham!Bruce is so tender and bare and transparent, heart beating and bleeding so close to his skin, you can see when it taints through his shirt, and his moments of absolute irrational sentimentality are not played cheap or like missteps in a planned protocol rational persona, they're utterly sincere and every emotion he expresses is as integral to his character as his moments of analytical calculation.

like any coupling, revali and link have got to have some pet names for each other

link is a little asshole and calls revali his sweet little cucco ❤️ because he fr the type to say shitty pickup lines after looking at the bird descriptions in his hyrule compendium like "are you a hotfeather pigeon? because you've got me feeling hotter than death mountain" or "you must be a bright-chested duck because your meat is definitely fat and high quality ;)" (revali actually threw him out of their roost into totori lake for that one and his feathers were poofed up for hours)

in contrast, revali's pet names for link are actually very sweet and meaningful, and are only spoken in the most besotted manner possible; "my jewel/my treasure" because the rito have the bird instinct to hoard shiny things and eventually become bored of them, but revali is completely enamored with link, hair golder than amber and eyes brighter than the most lustrous of sapphires.

revali also calls link "songbird", because i love the headcanon that all the links are musically inclined and i hc that botw!link is an incredible singer, with a smooth and soothing singing voice. he sings once with kass's children at warbler's nest for funsies and revali is absolutely mesmerized by link's voice, but teasingly calls him "songbird" and it sticks! link is his beautiful little songbird and revali falls in love a little more when link sings for him <3

-. there's this thing i just... violently don't understand about having tense/stressed out characters in film & tv start fidgeting and touching things and adjusting things that they are generally and socially allowed to mess with (as usually established by the context, for example, an array of pencils that anyone can pick up because idk free gift, just bear with me) and then another character just stops them, picks it out of their hands, smacks their arm, gives them a mean look, and i'm supposed to read the scene as 'haha they're so right for doing that make them stop' like??????? why. i know i'm preaching to the choir but why is this a thing, why is it any of your fucking business to be so genuinely annoyed with someone fidgeting to self-soothe, buddy you are Literally not involved in this, i hate those scenes, immediately kills empathy points for a character for me
