if i may complain for a bit about something that doesn't actually matter and can be easily avoided. god i hate fics that baby-fy chuuya
#yeah yeah i know just don't read them w/e. there's no tags to avoid these unfortunately 😐#it kinda feels like a fanon of fanon. it's so far removed from his canon self even if some core elements are there.#why write him like a 15 y/o even as an adult. and the thing is. even when he was 15 in canon he wasn't this childish. c'mon.#a lot of the most popular skk fics have him characterized like this and man I'm tired. look how they massacred my boy.#ok complaining session over. i feel like i sound kinda mean. sorry abt that.#it doesn't actually matter that much just a bit frustrating when it keeps happening when you're already a couple hundred words into a fic#edit: i lied I'm not done complaining i gotta turn this into a rant bc ppl misunderstanding my favorite character online is a crime.#childish was the wrong word for me to use ig it's more like. innocent.#girl. bestie. he has been part of criminal organizations quite literally since he remembers himself.#he is not some sweet uwu baby who's a bit of a tsundere or w/e. he's got genuine reasons to be angry yknow. he's been through shit#and he's not innocent? he's in the fucking mafia lol we literally see him kill like 20 people in 5 minutes at 15 y/o.#he's not naive either???? he may not be dazai levels of smart but he's still capable of figuring things out himself????#like he did figure out rimbaud's thing by himself. he's not stupid or slow. he wouldn't be a mafia executive otherwise.#and that's also the reason he can't be naive like... he is in constant danger after all#and idk watering down all this^ for aus is boring and turning him into practically an oc but it's even worse in canonverse#or literally any au where he suffers the same amount as he does in canon. bc then what's your excuse for watering him down.#it feels like forcing him into this very clear cut mold you see in every media when he is literally. not that.#no one in bsd is honestly that's part of its charm imo. they all subvert your expectations of their character archetypes#i think this is why it's making me so angry bc it doesn't feel like just misunderstanding the character but also the whole story. in a way.#am i going too far? perhaps. i dunno. i do feel less Dirty after letting out this frustration tho.#complaining session is now officially over okay. yes. sorry. i don't mean to offend anyone sorry if i sound mean at any point.

WOY X Invader ZIM crossover
(I’m sorry this is more Irken lore than crossover content I’d love to hear other ideas, scroll to the bottom for my story conclusions)
I haven’t thought on this in a while but what’d make a crossover like this so interesting is it’s a 100% canon fact that Irkens physically cannot experience love (or friendship).
Anyway the tones of both shows are so different that it’s pretty hard to imagine, these are the hypothetical ways they would cross over;
1 ZIM is in the woy galaxy for one reason or another. There’s actually so much potential and the “when” and “how” for defeating Zim would depend on a lot of factors. The only potential way of getting a more Wander-y outcome is if it’s possible to reprogram Zim’s pak, Irkens are essentially a race of organic robots, their bodies are grown separate from them in test tubes until birth, what’s actually them is the Pak, so each of them has specific programming, one universally programmed trait being an inability to love. (I’m sure on some level their bodies are them but they can be detached completely from them and re-attach to a different vessel). “But why would he leave earth? Doesn’t he just stay there all the time?” No bro go read the comics.
2 Zim and Dib are in the woy galaxy for one reason or another (Dib followed him there). If nobody in woy knew anything about Irkens Dib could at least be the one to get them up to speed, this is the more fun option imo. Once again there’s so much potential. Also I’m referring to comic Dib, Ik early show Dib might just want to get more proof of aliens but there’s a whole comic where Dib tries to stop Zim from hurting this one race of aliens.
3 The just-for-fun idea of the Irken armada traveling through the woy galaxy. Depending on their goals I’m not even sure they could stop them. The Irken armada is absolutely massive (hence the name of their head ship; The Massive) and in the ZIM universe it seems like there’s no use in anyone fighting back against them. In the most recent iterations they just fly around literally destroying anything in their path, so I imagine it’d just be that, and any planet the shoot actually would be doomed, Ik Dominator hollowed out planets and stole the magma at their cores or whatever but she didn’t exactly destroy them, there’s more than one example of the Irkens just disintegrating planets.
4 woy cast comes to earth?? Kinda boring tbh, they’d have to end up in space at some point.
Some of my favorite ZIM comics involved Dib following Zim somewhere far out in space, way more fun than on-earth adventures, that’s the ultimate crossover option.
And Ik there’s people like “nu-uh Zim can feel love!! He’s built different!!” But I think the examples of that are either
1. An unreliable comic writer (like a guest or someone infrequent and less familiar),
2. a display of liking his robots (or any little side inanimate object) more as possessions/something useful than anything, or
3. an example from the cartoon/early episodes that by now would be retconned. (In one or two examples it’s just Zim projecting his self-obsession onto an inanimate object).
I also know a lot of people base their arguments for Zim’s supposed ability to love on things like the Trial and how Zim is “broken” but nothing actually indicates that he can love because of that, if anything it’s just that he has some sort of incurable virus/mental illness. The concept that “Zim is outcast because he can love people” is a very fanon one, he’s outcast because he manages to be worse than everyone else and cause a ridiculous amount of calamity within they’re own empire and even on their home planet. (Also aspects of a few of the lost episodes are absolutely retconned by the comics, like how Zim’s Pak can be removed but it’s more like a life support device than his entire and sole being.) “why would we trust the comics instead of the original series?” They came like 15-20 years later shut up.
Honestly I can tell it’d probably be hard to write Zim in the woy verse,I actually think he’d have more beef with Hater or Dominator than Wander and that Wander would have to be pretty persistent, Zim is like weirdly nice sometimes (there’s a difference between nice and kind, and that and love, nice doesn’t mean they care.) so in the case of Wander he could be nice, dismissive, annoyed, or try to use his eagerness to help for some dumb plan that isn’t outwardly evil. Zim can be more complicated than people tend to think, I don’t think he’d jump straight to “annoyed and ready to kill” depending on the circumstances, im sure part of this would depend on Dib and what he’s doing. This is actually more complicated than I thought bc depending on what hes doing Zim might not even come off as a villain in need of redemption, they’d probably have to meet a couple times and/or stumble upon him trying to do something evil.

I agree with you all the way. I think fanon has to be at least somewhat in canon or else it isn’t the characters or story anymore. I’ve seen a lot of fics where fanon is so far removed from canon to the point where the characters stop being Tim, Jason, Dick, etc and start being OCs who happen to have the same name. Soooo many fics turn Tim into a wimpy loser with comedically abusive parents or turn Jason into an infantilized pitiful loner with supernatural anger issues or turn Dick into a golden sunshine manbaby who loves hugs and it stops feeling like they’re them, yknow? I need the characters to be at least a little accurate lol
Yeah! It can be pretty frusturating sometimes.
But honestly, most fandoms are also like this. And we can't stop people from writing these things. Because in a way, it's their passion. It's their way of coping I guess.
That's why I try to post about DC comics often and less about my Headcanons of these characters.
It kinda provides them an easy and fast way to get to know a character. And I, personally, like giving out fun facts or show some comic panels and spreading new information from the canon.
And I think the reason why Jason and Tim are the ones who are whumpified most of the time is proportional to their age and their trauma.
Of course every character in Batfam (and more) suffered their own traumas, but with those two, there are some specific things.
With Jason being murdered and staying dead for years, him digging out of his own grave, with Bruce slicing his throat, with Batman replacing him... There are so many material to infantilize and write angsty pieces about. He is also in his 20's and we all know that fandom loves young characters. Some even make him 19.
With Tim, even though he technically suffered the least amount of trauma, people love to whumpify him. They make him a coffee addict that never sleeps, they make him a skeletal zombie (who can still kick ass and be cool), they make him rant about his seemingly endless issues and so on...
As a person who loves both of these characters deeply, it's really dissapointing to see them like this...

Only because tumblr has brainwashed me, can you kinda descibe fanon jason vs canon jason? Like, what things are canon and what are fanon?
Thank you for the ask! I’m really sorry to disappoint you though, but I can't do that just yet, because I’m currently in the process of an in-depth list of everything his character went through, his character traits, facts, etc.! Sadly it will take a very long time because of how in-depth I want it to be and because I'm currently reading his Robin run to then eventually get to his modern comics (re-read some, read some I’ve never had the chance to, etc.), so I don't want to keep this in the drafts and make you wait for an answer that someone else can help you with when you can get your answer as soon as possible! :(
I could just pull out stuff that I know about canon from memory but, I don't want to further anything that is fanon accidentally at the same time lol and not answer the question without doing a lot of research because it definitely requires it, so I will eventually show my list of Canon! Jason in the future that will be sourced and referenced 👍
I just want to say however, that I definitely don’t know everything about Fanon! Jason because the Batfamdom is HUGE so there’s probably other traits that I’m not aware of at the moment, but I’ll try my best to share with what I’ve seen of Fanon! Jason so far in my experience as a Jason fan. Maybe some of you who read this can share what they know of Fanon! Jason? 👀
Also I must mention, that he’s a very hard character to understand, he’s hard to understand because of the changes/directions he’s had, has some comics that are removed from canon, writers that attempted to ruin his character/lessened his skills, and the huge amount of inconsistencies fans had to ignore. All of those reasons, are why he's the hardest Batfam member to understand imo, and that's why I’ll never be angry at Jason fans who have the same issue. (Because I definitely did at one point lmao)
But I feel bad not being able to help as of right now, so I will share posts that I’ve liked/reblogged, and Jason-centered blogs that I like who have read his comics, know him well, and consistently talk about Canon! Jason. I try to frequently incorporate a lot of Canon! Jason on my blog as well. I hope this helps!
To help you in the meantime!
@autisticredhood (Jason-centered blog that frequently mentions Robin Jason) @dailyjasontodd (Has a list of every Jason comic to read!) @wonderwondered (Frequently mentions Canon! Jason and has posts about Jason’s skills, etc.)
Their masterlist post of Canon! Jason here!
@aalghul (Frequently mentions Canon! Jason)
@tumblingxelian (Has a YouTube Channel called Xel Writer, and has great videos about Canon! Jason, as well as videos about other Batfam members as well!)
Check out their channel here!
There are probably more Jason blogs/posts I’m missing, but I think these might be enough, hopefully 😅
I’ll let you know when I post my list eventually lol! I’m really excited for it, and I’m going to try to find more posts that talk about Canon! Jason and reblog them! :)
Thanks for the ask! 💕

@0toomuchflaws Oh dear fellow Tumblr user, you are asking for a sizzling hot take that'll make people very much uncomfortable but I'll keep it short for the sake of... Clarity and brevity.
Tumblr media
But in short, I like canon Joxter, he is a soft round man and being a recent cat owner I see alot of my cat within Joxter, but he also a man of little worry but actual care especially towards Muddler for some reason (cough cough), other than that he's been so thoroughly explored by everyone else that I don't quite feel as attached to him as many others do. You might say I like him a little less than the next guy.
[Continue reading for the hottest take on fanon Joxter you've ever read on this website, I'm just warning you because I don't want you to feel bad for liking Joxter but I really need to get my less than stellar feelings off my chest]
Fanon Joxter, oh boy, in my opinion people would make him too important, edgy or... Cat. Or atleast stereotypical trouble cat. I'm going to avoid alot of topics when it comes to fan interpretation incase that would make me the pot calling the kettle black (when it comes to how I myself treat the Muddler as opposed to how others treat the Joxter) but simply put that I think people easily make him too much of a big deal in the main characters' lives, they "protagonise" him, they turn him into the Onceler when he's supposed to be a Sans (but also people kinda made Sans a Onceler? I'm just talking about canon Sans the Skeleton, though). And on the flip side we get the Joxter who is overly troublesome and comedic, someone who is based on the stereotype of a cat and for all intents and purposes is a cat rather than also a humanoid person with a regular moral compass that leans toward anarchistic tendencies. And none of those interpretations represent his actual body shape, making him a skinny Onceler rather than a short round Sans with a dump in the trunk.
It's gotten to the point where I get irrationally annoyed whenever Joxter headcanons or discussions pop up in my Tumblr dash, and it really sucks for me because I want to like Joxter as much as the next guy but he feels so far removed and main characterized that I can't help but feel the eyebags under my eyes whenever the mere mention of his name is brought up randomly. Hell, people call him a mumrik rather than a joxter when Joxter is supposed to be a species name in and of itself and that bugs me alot. People project Joxter and Snufkin onto eachother so much like an echo that they become 2 different fusions of the characters rather than their own individuals that happen to have a blood relation and Mymble's personality gets completely left out of the picture unless it comes to Snufkin with kids.
But that's just me as someone who got cursed with being interested in the less popular characters that haven't been explored or dismissed as something they aren't or just plain left behind. I get that the cat person is easy to project onto and easily some kind of personality goal they want to achieve but sometimes overexposure is exhausting and I'm left being the only person left of the fandom who understands a ratdog as being actually traumatized rather than just anxious and wanting to explore that and then hug him afterwards, or as the only person left in the fandom who realizes Hodgkins has a real mysterious backstory, or that Inspector is an actual nice cop and not a vessel to put ACAB stereotypes into (his nephew [whose name is Henry by the way] and the jailer hemulen from Moominsummer Madness are for that if you really need any, but oh wait, you either didn't know or forgot they existed, didn't you?)
Anyway that's my sizzling hot take on Mr. Joxter, I'll continue to ship him with Muddler because the thought of a romantic relationship between them makes me warm and soft.

KDJDJSLSKS OK SO- ik it’s widely accepted for Tomura to be kind of an asshole to y/n, but what if 😌 he had the kinda “asshole to the world but never to your girl” thing going on? 😌😌😌😌 I live, I love 🥰
Hey, hi, hey ✨
So, I pretty much exclusively write Tomura with that idea in mind. For me, it’s just a...if I can say this, a canon compliant concept.
Moar under the cutttt + spoilers for post Overhaul arc & MVA arc.
You opened a can of worms nonnie. I’m going to answer the ask, but imma hop on my soap box first ✨
Tomura I would argue, is less of an asshole and more of a sassafras. He is snarky, snarky & I love his attitude.
Tumblr media
I feel like early Tomura is the main font of this “asshole” misconception within the fandom. Horikoshi wrote him very differently in the beginning of BNHA. Pretty much everyone who met him called Tomura a “man child.” And he kinda is. He’s impatient and short tempered, but not once did he react to these slights with what I would classify as asshole behavior. Even when his life is threatened, he’s being a little sassy boi.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He’s annoyed in these panels. But he’s not like, hey, you fucking dick, get off my nuts before I kill you. If anything, he elaborates on his thoughts and is challenging Stain to pick up the crappy pieces of his own shoddy “theories.” To Tomura, killing heroes is only breeding MORE heroes. He feels Stain’s plan is flawed & he tells him so.
Tumblr media
Tomura is also easily able to slip into different roles. He can fit in with others and make himself part of the crowd. He’s got mountains of self control. When he spies Izuku in the mall he doesn’t come at him with some angry outburst, instead he reverts to snark:
Tumblr media
Look at his voice bubbles! They’re a little wavy, but they’re nothing like his usual bubbles. This man can modulate and control how he sounds. He’s going for something open and friendly, albeit, his general demeanor is creepy, but he still manages to get close to Izuku and catch him off guard.
Tumblr media
This is the worst outburst we see from Tomura. He’s not spewing vitriol or degrading dialogue, if anything, he’s controlling himself. He’s not wanting to kill these guys anymore and he’s scratching out some space for himself. He needs time to process. He’s a little rude, I guess, but who hasn’t told someone to shut up? It’s a normal piece of conversation when you’re annoyed.
But ken, what about asshole behavior that is visible in the manga? I gotchu, don’t worry.
Tumblr media
This guy? Dabi? Yeah, this guy is an example of an asshole. He’s abrasive and confrontational from the GET. Tomura only responses to his aggression, he doesn’t project his frustration until after Dabi has called him fucking GROSS. You talk a lotta shit when you look like THAT king. Like, the morgue called, and they want their burn victim BACK.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again, Tomura is snarky, but he only calls Toga a freak after she spouts some nonsense about loving Stain so much she wants to kill him. These people are wild and he is not pleased. His ad in the paper asked for COMPETENT villains, not teens, tweens and anything in between.
Plus, Mr. 3rd Degree Burns keeps ignoring his questions. I’d be peeved too, y’all.
Dabi is the asshole in the LOV. He goes out of his way to be nasty, especially to Spinner:
Tumblr media
How does Tomura deal with Spinner? He treats him as an equal, even asks his opinion on battle strategy when they are in Deika City.
Tumblr media
Tomura has changed a toooon over the course of this manga. Horikoshi has deepened his growth and created a very well rounded and complex character. He cares about his people and he hates being disrespected. Hell, he hates when his people are taken advantage of.
Tumblr media
This man, if you are on his side, will fight for you.
So, I don’t write him as an asshole. To me, that is fanon and not canon. Now writing him as blunt, snarky and impatient? Sure. Because, to me, he IS all those things and we can see him being all those things.
ANYWAY. If you made it this far, here is the Drabble:
“They haven’t checked in for two days. Should I call them? I told Toga she needed to-“
“Don’t bother. If it exposes our hand, then this whole mission is a waste.”
“But if they-“
“Why do I need to repeat myself? Like I said, if our plan is revealed then Mange’s death, and your fucking arm, were sacrificed for no reason. Don’t call them, Compress.”
You’re perched on the edge of a large box, watching the tense exchange. Tomura has been quiet the last few days, even keeping you at an arms length. He’s upset, and he’s been brittle, jagged in his recent conversations and movements.
Compress tosses you a quick glance and shrugs, his light brown eyes darkening. “All right, I suppose we can go off of the old saying that: no news, is good news. However, I am going to ask Toga to maintain regular check in’s the next time she calls.”
“Fine,” Tomura grunts, following Compress’ line of sight, his eyes lingering over your seated form. “Is that all?”
“Yes, yes,” Compress nods, his gloved hand waving in the air beside his head. “That’s all from me. I’ll check on the van. Giran said it would be available this afternoon.”
Tomura continues his silent observation of you, barely lifting his chin to acknowledge Compress’ statement.
“I’ll be back this afternoon,” Compress continues, letting out a soft chuckle as he turns on his heel, closing the heavy door behind him.
“You think they’re ok?” You ask, your voice soft.
Tomura removes Father from his face, his long white hair falling around his cheeks. “I told them I trusted in their abilities. It’s not sending the right message if I pester them for intel and their whereabouts every few days. Don’t you start up, too.”
You laugh and hop off the crate, your feet padding you over to him. “I’m not, it’s just...it’s so soon after...I mean, Mange’s death was...”
“Yes. Chisaki is an idiot if he thinks one lackey of his is equal to our Mange. This has to work.”
You lift a hand, pressing your fingers across his jaw, cupping his warm skin. Tomura leans into your touch, his vermilion eyes slipping behind his hooded eyelids.
“It will,” you confirm, pulling him down to your lips.
∩(・ω・)∩
Sorry for the lecture. It was a fun ask to answer!

Super long Sasori post
I’m going to begin this by saying everyone is entitled to their view on Sasori and how to characterize him within the parameters set up by canon or whatever AU/Bent Timeline a person has inserted him into but I do believe there are certain things about him that remain the same no matter what situation you put him in-- otherwise he’s just no longer Sasori (IMO.) So much of his character is about hyper analyzing his words and actions, and what others have said about him through a microscope because the fact of the matter is for such an interesting character he really had such little time.
I was originally not going to bring shipping into this but as I was writing Sasosaku kinda slipped in there, mostly because it felt like it provided a good contrast to what we get of Sasori in canon and how it can translate into fanon.
(All of these opinions are based on the Manga and the Akatsuki formation because OP cannot be assed with novels and filler for the most part...Making an exception for Komushi.)
1. He’s highly manipulative. He’s a puppet master and he has a spy ring. He gathers information so he can use it against people, he manipulates the corpses of what used to be people--or things that LOOK, very often like people. That says a lot about who he is as a person.
And when you first see his real face, when he reveals himself to Chiyo this is the face you get;
Tumblr media
I don’t get the impression that he’s actually happy to see her given the events that follow, its largely about trying to put his grandmother off center and BOTHER her. Sasori is perfectly capable of acting to get to a desired result--which makes a lot of sense to me because while Bunraku is largely about the Narrator's words there is also the performance element to it via the puppets.
2. He’s all about control. Control of himself, of others, of events. It's really an offshoot of manipulation but I don’t think Sasori blinks without putting thought into the action. ( I mean technically, lmao given his unique anatomy in canon that might be 100% accurate.)
3. He’s not only an artist. The guy is the very definition of being a mad scientist. He sits at a place where Art and Science meet and become something more. It's not one or the other when it comes to Sasori, there is something almost Frankenstein like in the way that he creates his human puppets, the 3rd and himself. Think about the knowledge that had to go into that from basic human anatomy to the chakra system as a whole. I mean we never get a play by play on HOW he did it but we know he’s the only one who ever did and then repeated a similar, much more complicated process on himself.
Then there is his poison, we know he’s primarily relied on the infamous one because it was sooo effective (until it wasn’t, thanks Sakura.) But we have to assume given how he is Sasori makes ART out of deadly concoctions and methods of murder.
To him synthesizing that poison was probably no different than an artist trying to get that perfect shade of red.
The weird thing about Sasori ( and I guess it's just ONE of the many weird things) Is that for an Artist he is very...clinical. When we think about people in the arts we often imagine passionate people like Deidara--bombastic and flamboyant free spirits.
4. Logical and likely to the extreme.
He’s not a sore loser. When he loses and it's fair he accepts it. He's not bitter about the end of his fight with Sakura and Chiyo, he’s not pissy with Konan--he respects it because to Sasori the weak die and the strong survive, losers don’t have a right to complain when they shoulda got gud to begin with.
I don’t doubt that in Sasori’s logical mind he came to the conclusion that his parents died because they were weak. Ergo unlike Chiyo he’s just completely unaffected by seeing Kakashi, the world just followed its natural order in the death of his parents.
He’s got a reptile brain and he just sort of views people as animals because it's probably simpler--except for himself. He thinks he’s above that, to himself he is a god.
The thing with Komushi...I perceive it as largely an accident but in Sasori’s “perfectly” logical mind he was just like well: it’s sort of Komushi’s own fault and never let a tragedy go to waste because again, hyper logical. Not only that but he was BEGGED to do something for Komushi and there really was nothing to be done for him at that point other than make something useful out of his death.
The problem with being TOO logical is that it is just as detrimental as being too emotional. If we all just went around doing what was logical we’d be no different than animals or machines. Logic dictates we do whatever it takes to survive and come out on top even at the expense of others but because we are balanced by emotion most people don’t live like that.
On the flipside because he’s logical he can be convinced by compelling arguments without ego getting in the way. In this same vein he finds it very difficult to feel sorry about things he’s done in the past but when able to recognize it was wrong he can accept it and simply resolve not to do it in the future--he doesn’t have the capacity to agonize over feelings of guilt.
5. He hates being lied to and he’s impatient. Sasori will lie to everyone around him and even to himself if he can manage it but if he finds out He’s the one being lied to? Intense hate. See points 1&2.
6. He’s blunt and often rude when acting as his natural self. I don’t find the need to explain this one much.
7. Sasori is largely self-focused. He thinks he has a perfect handle on himself and understands exactly why he is the way he is--but it couldn’t be further from the truth. He really doesn’t understand his own feelings much less those of others and what he does understand he often doesn’t care about. This can be changed if a person is able to get through to him.
This is the guy who thought that by removing his concious from a human body and sticking it into what's basically a decorative vase all his problems would MAGICALLY vanish. Because as smart as he is, he was also desperate to escape his own feelings not realizing that when you pour the water in one glass into another glass the contents remain the same.
No matter how hard he tries he cannot escape the problem plaguing him; himself.
8. Sasori does not value life, not his own and certainly not others. Unless you are like that ONE person who is able to get through to him. He has what I would call a “Very narrow heart.”  which simply does not have a lot of space for people. To him it's probably Sasori and “That Person” VS the world.
9. He likes things that last, sculptures and paintings, classical music and literature, things that have been around for ages and withstood the trials of time.
10. He does not do well on his own. He thinks he does but he really doesn’t, when he is by himself he is destructive. When he feels alone he is at his most dangerous. Sasori is very much a person who NEEDS someone to essentially be his emotional center otherwise we get him turning himself into a puppet in what amounted to a one longass theatrical suicide.
11. Sasori was probably always a little...different even as a kid but environment and events certainly played a role. His parents died at an early age and he was essentially lied to and given false hope. (hence the impatience and hatred of lies.) Throw into that an intellect seldom seen in a time of war where child soldiers are the norm. He killed his first person at 8, he earned himself a title denoting that he was so good at killing he soaked the sands in blood. Imagine what that's like at 8, getting a pat on the head everytime you kill someone?
Of course you would become conditioned to believe that killing is right and good when you’re being congratulated and rewarded for being proficient at it.
Its assumption on my part but I do believe Sasori lays somewhere on the Antisocial Personality Disorder spectrum.
12. He’s vain AF. Look at him. He made sure to replicate himself in his prime to perfect detail in the places that were most visible, his face and his hands. He could have made himself look like anything but in the end he still chose that form.
13. When he wants something he makes a plan and gets it done. Doesn’t matter how long or what he has to do to get to point A to point B he’s going to do it.
14. He has three main expressions; blank, smug and insane.
15: His power levels are again, insane. He is a master of multiple trades. The guy ganked a Kage at 15 the strongest one Sand ever had by that point, ( Orochimaru was waay older and came out way more damaged as far as we know when he fought Sarutobi.) toppled a nation, made himself a new body with mysterious methods.
It's time for the Sasosaku bit:
Part of the reason why I think the two of them fit so well together is that they are opposites and yet complimentary. Sakura is an antidote and Sasori is the poison, but sometimes a medicine can become a poison and a poison can be used as medicine. Sakura is a close range combatant and Sasori is long but they have this odd intersection of skill sets and interest. They both deal in the human body and the manipulation of it, Sakura’s focus is to maintain it as it is and improve its condition if needed and Sasori’s is to both destroy and create it anew all at once.
If they weren’t trying to kill one another in canon they would have had tons to talk about.
Ultimately Sakura gets gut stabbed not because he was aiming for her but because she got LITERALLY in the way of a family feud. He was going for Chiyo and you can assume that's because he thought his grandma was the bigger threat or because he was still bitter about the past on some subconscious level and was gunning for her--i mean he goes in for Chiyo a second time after he disconnects from the arm Sakura was death gripping. But Sakura’s selfless action is something that viscerally shocks him:
Tumblr media
And it only gets worse when Chiyo starts feeding her life force into Sakura--a second selfless act on the part of someone he hates and feels wronged by.
Sakura values life and Sasori doesn’t because he doesn’t understand it. He was raised his whole life to think that people like them--Shinobi had no value other than to kill or to be killed. He’s visibly shocked when she starts yelling after socking him in the face about Human lives and family bonds. Like no one had ever mentioned that to him before and forget about risking your life to save someone else's, that goes against his logical lizard brain.
At that point he’s already beaten, he’s already impressed with her. It’s right after her punching him that Sasori gives what amounts to an odd marriage proposal IMO. It was completely pointless of him to even bring it up but you can tell by the “Glint” in his eye that he meant it.
Sasori: Want to become like me? You’ll get what I mean. An undecaying body, Unfettered by a mortal lifespan, capable of being rebuilt over and over again. ( if you were immortal would you offer immortality to someone you had no interest in? Not me. I wouldn’t want to have them around for virtually “forever” in any shape or form. And Sasori is not talking about making Sakura into just some controllable puppet, he’s talking about being JUST like him, sentient thought and movement.)
Sasori: I can make as many people as I want out of puppets….-Looks dead at Sakura- If I want them...but my collection isn’t just about quantity. Quality is important too.
That whole conversation is like A CREEPY FLIRTATION from him because we know what he considers “True beauty” to be. Eternal.
And then it comes to a head where he gives her a “sentimental reward” in the information she wanted. Now I’m not saying Sakura was interested or anything but it seems like he was in some shape or form.
In my opinion when you put someone like Sakura--who is brilliant and logical but also heavily swayed by her emotions with someone like Sasori, brilliant, logical and emotionally repressed. A person who values life with someone who neither values their own life or others what you get is agitation.
Agitation is not a bad thing, it breaks stagnation--which is what, imo drives Sasori to his death. It is the lack of change, he’s made it so he cannot feel physically and he has tried his hardest and for the most part succeeded in numbing his inner feelings.
Part of me is convinced that what ultimately kills him is complacency. He gets so used to being at the top that when he is confronted with someone who neutralizes his life’s work and destroys his collection and keeps confronting and beating him with all the qualities he deems useless and pointless it just drives home the point that everything he has ever done or thought was in vain and on some level wrong. There is no point in winning against them because everything is already destroyed. There is no going back to what he was before, therefore death is preferable.
Through Sakura, in Au’s or alt timelines, or w/e she is able to reach him through their similarities but change him due to the fundamental differences in their nature.
As to what Sakura gets from Sasori; Someone who clearly respects her skills and understands her interests because his own align--and therefore would be supportive and present. The two of them actually have things in common and therefore shit to talk about.
In that same vein Sasori seems like the type of person who if he were to fall in love it is to the point of obsession, for someone who was repressed and held themselves apart from others I see him in a lot of ways as almost touch, and certainly affection starved. It becomes addictive to him. (Which is probably why when I write him he’s handsy.)
We know how Sakura likes to take care of people--we see it with Naruto, Sasuke and Sai. In some of these cases it is often to the detriment of her own well being and Sasori, the selfish person that he is, can reign that in and pull it back so that it isn’t so all consuming. (mostly because the only person she should be worried about is herself and him.)
In the end, If Sasori is the logic and Sakura is the emotion, what you end up with is something more balanced. In the same way that if you were to mix a Poison with an Antidote you would end up with a neutralization.
These are just my personal opinions and thoughts on the matter.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Also I headcanon that Sasori is basically Sakura-sexual so -cough- there. I guess that's a topic for another time...
Look at all these conceited Sasori faces:

001 | Send me a fandom and I will tell you my: For repcomm?
Favorite character:
I mean.. Etain. Obviously.
Least Favorite character:
Kal, but man does Jusik put himself in the running sometimes.
EDIT: HOW DID I FORGET JINART!
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon):
Etain/Dar, Jilka/Ruu, Maze/Zey, Atin/Laseema (altho I’m very multiship in this fandom so I like some other Atin ships too), Mereel&Etain or Mereel/Etain but only like in a poly or alt timeline au but I saw it and... it works? Even though Dar/Etain is my otp
Character I find most attractive:
I mean, they’re all book characters, so aesthetic attraction doesn’t have much chance to kick in, but Temuera Morrison is nice generally, I guess. And Gena & Izzy fancast Dichen Lachman for Besany & Dichen Lachman is STUNNING.
Character I would marry:
hah. hah. they’d eat me alive. Well. Darman’s a sweetheart, but I could never. Etain is my heart, but I think we’d squabble.
I read Niner as demi-romantic or aro & ace, and I’m some flavor of “wtf is happening” aro & ace, so I could relate there,  and relate to the anxiety/grumpiness/feeling responsible but like, idk about long term compatibility.
OR I remember a fmk game one time where I chose “Jaing with the understanding it was some long-distance tax scheme and then we divorce amicably and go away rich/richer”. That still works.
Character I would be best friends with:
I would want to be friends with Etain or Darman or Niner (it might be a lot of fun to gossip w/ Niner, honestly) or Besany but again, my experiences/skill set/ level of interesting-ness are all kinda too far removed from theirs for them to have a reason to give me the time of day, much less bond.
a random thought:
what. the fuck. is. this timeline.
An unpopular opinion:
Unpopular in some parts of the fandom, but not in mine, but like. Kal. If you follow this blog, you know what I mean.
Jusik is three great moments and a whole bunch of annoying as shit authorial morality pronouncements in a trench coat. He had so much potential, but like Kal, lived up to less than none of it. And in his “Gotab” identity I want to throat punch him.
My Canon OTP:
Dar/Etain.
My Non-canon OTP:
Dar/Etain/Rhedian, or if not including OCs, Jilka/Ruusaan. It just has SO MUCH potential.
Most Badass Character:
I think a requirement to being on this main cast is being some flavor of bad ass. Etain the unexpectedly/deceptively tiny but fierce Jedi, Laseema who doesn’t have any military or special background but learns to defend herself and her place in the world  after a terrible past and keep up with all the people who do, Besany the treasury spy and Jilka her best friend who corners Hutts for a thrills,  any given clone who is automatically a super soldier by default... like... it’s a requirement.
Most Epic Villain:
Uthan when allowed to be herself.
But for the record, I just had to sit and think and count “wait who’s the villain in each book” because with the exceptions of Hokan (who gets pov chapters and is shitty as hell), Uthan (who is ruthless as shit and a major player in the eventual cure), and Ko Sai (who is... Ko Sai)... most of the other folk on the other side of the battle field aren’t even villains, they’re just antagonists and they’re just... there. Which is a major departure for SW when you think about it.
So like, the choices here are only Ko Sai ( *thumbs down*), Hokan (little pretentious pos), and Uthan. Uthan a la Hard Contact wins easily.
Pairing I am not a fan of:
Fi/Parja majorly squicks me out except for when Kaz writes it. but like. Canon Fi/Parja has so many boundary issues that make me uncomfortable.
JUSIK/ARLA like WHAT THE FUCK. Biggest NOTP.
Gilamar/Uthan. A softer nope, because I’ve seen fanon versions done well, but not at all a fan of canon Gilamar/Uthan from 501st.
Ny/Kal because Ny did NOTHING to deserve that.
Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another):
Hah! HAH! How much time you got?
Kal- not who KT thought she was giving us at all
Jusik a handful of great moments attached to what ultimately fails as a fleshed out, meaningful character with a lot of lost potential
Ovolot Qail ‘suddenly a middle age career woman who can be manipulated by her regret at never having ~children~ as soon as Kal looks at her’ Uthan.
Parja, who has all this potential, but KT uses as a mouthpiece for some sexist/ablelist/uncomfortable shit.
Jilka- she can still be sharp/judgy/social/a tad vain, but just let her and Besany be friends and also avoid actively shoving her in a gold-digger sterotype in book 4 (book 3? when Ordo gives Besany the sapphire) and then a random out of the blue romance with Corr, of all people, to “soften her up” in ImpComm.
Jinart is not a character, she’s a whole bunch of mean shit the author wanted to say in black fur, and that makes it hard to feel at all sympathetic to or conflicted about the gurlanin, even when KT wants us too
Favourite Friendship:
oh god, I could NEVER choose just one.
Niner & Dar and Dar & Fi & Atin & Etain (or what we have in those tiny implied moments) and Ordo & Mereel and Mereel & Etain and Ordo & Etain and Mereel & Besany , the hypothetical SNARK /GRUMP friendship in my head that would be Niner & Jilka, Maze & Ordo...
like... it’s all so good. they’re all so good. and there’s somebody I’m forgetting on my list here, I know it, but I just can’t think of it right now.
Character I most identify with:
I mean. *coughs* Do I.. do I really have to say this one?
Character I wish I could be:
Listen, I admire many of these character’s skills, but like HELL would I ever want to experience ANY of their backgrounds or life experiences.

(This is so long I’m sorry but I had to rant cause honestly I’m scared )
I literally made a post the other day about how we have to welcome in new fans and treat them equally but truth be told? I’M. NOT. FUCKING. READY
Bitch bitch bitch I mean I’mma have to stand this kids hardcore shipping Luke x Annabeth ???? Or Luke x Thalia ???? SIS they’re SIBLINGS wth Annabeth realized it later on it changed there was an arc.
Like this fandom closed the discussion on Luke’s redemption arc and the way he is and his motives we agree we have opinions but we’re FINE. Are you telling me ma boy is gonna be played by some hot teen (he is older) and 12 y/o’s are gonna be biased and I’m gonna have to yell at them across a screen cause they’re gonna act like Luke is a saint !!!!??
THE SHIPS. FUCKFUCKFUCK. BoTL Percy spent worried about Nico and if it’s done properly we’re gonna have all that worry face first and no one’s gonna be able to ignore it like the AMOUNT OF PEOPLE who are gonna say that’s OTP. I mean SHIT.
I haven’t even been in the [internet] fandom for that long like how I’m I supposed to go against this people who were here before me I mean they LEFT but what arguments do I have !?!?
The amount of people who only read pjo and went BYE like I can’t bring HOO up in discussions wdym????? How I’m I supposed to talk development and change and character arcs and what would they do in certain situations if you’ve never heard of them ????
I’M NOT READY
Y’all wanna know something terrifying? The maze runner fandom. Because there’s so little creators out there who actually love it the way I do and so much of it is obsessed with Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Newt I haven’t been there since I finished the books I couldn’t stand it. And I can’t stand the fact that our Percy actor is gonna be good-looking and I’m TERRIFIED of the amount of people who are gonna be here for what the actors look like you can’t understand this.
I MEAN all them debates are coming back up I can’t do this. This is such a fantastic fandom (and I’m in many, trust me) like we’re all at peace there’s no arguments you can literally come by and just vibe.
OH FUCK ANOTHER THOUGHT. So since we’re getting official characters and stuff I swear if ONE IDIOT hates on viria’s or Livibis’ or Markiehh’s art (they’re the one’s at the top of my head) because it’s “inaccurate” or “far off” from what they look on screen they better watch the fuck out because they have no idea the fandom they’re messing with.
OH AND SHIT I know this has been brought up but the way we treat Nico??? All baby and soft and all that and how our fanon Nico is just so different from the actual canon kick-ass Nico, ya know? But we kinda understand how powerful Nico is but we still love him cause poor kid was 10 and then all of it happened and he was 13/14 (?) during tlo and the PTSD so we’re chill with that BUT. There’s the fact that our son is gay and god the amount of people who are gonna come in (cause there’s obviously gonna be foreshadowing) and be like “ooh gay baby look at him” that’s badly explained but I know you guys understand. And specially if we get to HoO and the horrors getting to ToA would be. Like we already have our fanon Nico but if someone DARES to even IMPLY that Nico can’t kill you with a thought the entire fandom know better and will prove them wrong. But the new fans what would they know.
You know what’s going to be fucking horrible ???? PARENTS. I mean UGHHHHHH. My parents only know I’m reading what I tell them I’m reading (“a book about Greek mythology”). Like I’m terrified of my mom picking up The Burning Maze sitting on my desk or any Cassandra Clare book cause the homophobia in this household is astronomical. (Don’t know how many of you will understand but the PANIC I went through reading the red scrolls of magic? God knows she would check every book I get form the library from the on) Back to the point sorry. But y’all pjo is mostly safe but Rick already talks about how parents complain about adding a Genderfluid character to a Norse mythology book (I mean Ma’am go educate yourself) and how his books “would be more successful without [gay] characters” ???? What if we get Kane Chronicles some asshole is gonna come up about Sadie being polyamorous, Alex and Magnus are gonna be a problem, Will and Nico, House of Hades is gonna make Karens riot because of one scene.
You can see how Disney treats Seblos (hsmtmts) compared to the other couples on the show. You can see how not even half of Andi Mack is actually on Disney+ (after getting brutally canceled) you can see how Diary of a Future President hasn’t been renewed when it’s reviews are 100% for both critics and public. How the Love, Simon series was removed (now on Hulu) because it wasn’t a good mix with “the family-friendly content on Disney+” (underage drinking + s*x are brought up in discussions but the show isn’t out yet and we have no idea). So pardon me for being scared of how this is going to be treated.
Back to the new fans. I’m gonna say the topic that’s the most brought up that causes discussions is Leo (?) Tbh I’m still lost on the Leo x Echo thing that everyone else seems to understand. Plus the hate on Caleo is probably the biggest issue in this fandom. (Which is like saying the biggest problem in a perfectly written essay are some barely noticeable erase-marks, but still). Anyways a fair amount of people dislike Leo for reasons I kinda comprehend. I know a kid and he’s the exact definition of Leo, (I’ll probably talk about this in an individual post) and people don’t like him, I know most of you would avoid him. I know he’s great but people just don’t seem to like him.
(wOw i’M sO gOOd aT sTaYInG oN tOpiC)
I don’t think I’m gonna be able to survive hate on characters that probably WILL come.
Solangelo is called rushed a lot and I would want to see this two fall for each other and Nico let down his walls and talk about his PTSD from Tartarus (which friendly reminder Percy saw for a few minutes the way Nico saw it the whole time and it was the worst part of his entire experience there). But I mean there WERE six months between BoO and ToA, I am pretty sad we didn’t get to see them.
oH JESUS follow-up on Nico earlier; the fetishization, or Apollo, or Will.
Ok... ha, this is fun....
OH WAIT NEW THOUGHT SJDJDJD On the topic of Luke’s redemption arc... BIANCA,, they better do my girl properly who thought she had stayed months at the Lotus Hotel babysitting her lil’ brother and then was put into a school where they were outcasts and she probably knows as much as Nico about mythomagic from his rants and she thought he was gonna be safe and she wanted freedom and be her own person so she joined the hunters. And as a fandom we’ve talked this out but what about the new fans, they better not try to act like she did anything wrong cause that’s just not-
OH AND no one better hate on Clarisse cause yeah she’s the minor antagonist but she’s a very well-written character who doesn’t change the way she is but is kinda less of an ass towards Percy. And she and Silena are good friends and she and Chris are dating and she is a human being with valid feelings. She was terrified for Chris in BoTL and cared for him and nurse him back to sanity and stayed with him. She throws Percy and Annabeth into the lake which so it’s prove she and Percy are more in the friendly banter I-won’t-admit-how-much-I-care-for-you-if-it-meant-my-life relationship. Then this doesn’t happpen until the last two books (seasons?) so we can’t actually go around saying it? In SoM we learn about how Ares treats her which is SO important so I guess S1 comes out and we sit here telling new fans “You’ll know next season” cause we can’t directly spoil it and then we’re like “You gotta wait for seasons 4 and 5” ugghhhhh this is too much.
Ok I’m done for now I’ll reblog this with any new terrifying thoughts when if they come.

Thoughts on CoAi's viability? It's something I've always liked in *theory*, but in practice precious few people elaborate on what they'd actually *do* together as adults (or even grown teenagers). There's a few that advanced the idea of her working in forensic pathology, but I really can't see her wanting to get close to the crime-and-punishment field ever again if she has a choice.
Tumblr media
Okay, so. CoAi is a ship that could work. Obviously, as a fandom concept in the same vein as KaiShin, but it has the potential.
The problem (and the thing that turned me off from being able to enjoy the ship myself) is that: people who actually put content out for the ship make it feel so very toxic and, yeah, kinda something that could only exist in a short term way with no explanation for why things would work out.
(The ‘what they’d do’ as a future and what kind of jobs people would have doesn’t bother me quite as much, as plenty of fics exist as a general idea without focusing on anything big. Sure, some have a focus on college, or jobs, or children, but most gen works don’t. I suppose CoAi/ShinShi might have a smaller proportion of content that focuses on topics like that, but I’d be the first to admit I don’t have as much frame of reference other people might have. If I were to spitball a career, I’d pick something where Shiho works with kids or possibly take after her parents and work in a clinic. Basic interest in wanting to help because she’s had far to much guilt over the harm she’s done, and in general I think she gets along well with kids and having involvement in the younger generation feels right for her. Her age and older feels like it might still be awkward for her to talk with, but kids are good for her. She might have good mind for science stuff and logic, but I agree she’s unlikely to work in crime-related jobs, even if it’s to stop crime rather than commit them. I also don’t see her wanting to work in labs.)
As far as overall viability, I just wish people would go the KaiShin route with CoAi/ShinShi at least a little more than what I’ve seen. Not so much the ‘entirely change their personalities to the form I prefer’ (that already happens regardless), but more the blatant ‘I don’t care about canon because this could never be canon anyway, so I’m going to have fun with it’. KaiShin might have an easier time because it’s super easy to ignore canon when you make the guys gay, but really. It’s super easy to ignore the childhood romance canon when it comes to fic writing. Just go with a ‘yeah, we care a lot about each other, but it’s kinda like siblings’. You take that stance, and then you could have a more solid setup for how to make it more comfortable as a ship. Shinichi could start to be more protective of Shiho. Shiho canonically starts to develop a crush, but you could write Shinichi start to realize she’s crushing or start getting self conscious or however people want the actual ship to start sailing.
But for the love of all that is holy, you cannot keep sarcastic barbed-tongue Haibara being verbally abusive and cutting him down at random. For a viable, healthy ship... Look, I’ve been on here saying that a little bickering isn’t toxic because how the characters are presented reacting to it makes it seem like they’d never get into huge arguments that would hurt the other, and I’m sure some of it applies to people who throw insults around, too. It could work, I’ve seen people who look to be great friends throw around good natured insults and it looks fun. But that’s not ever how any sarcastic CoAi feels like in text form, because by nature of the medium, there’s no indication if there’s knowing smiles and little laughs surrounding it, so most of the time it feels painfully deadpan and comes off as hurtful, usually when Haibara/Shiho is insulting Conan/Shinichi specifically. That shouldn’t be what half of their relationship is like.
And quite frankly, with what we do have of their canon personalities, the two really don’t feel like they’d be the type to be the cynical types who play off each other. When Shinichi’s romantically interested in someone, he might could tease a little, but he’s super easy to tease back, and teases always 100% come with a smile. Haibara we see get soft when people are making a genuine effort to be nice, so as Shiho, if she were together with Shinichi? She’d tone down on snide remarks, and would also be more likely to tease every once in a while with her own small smile. In canon she’s been healing, she feels a little safer, she can get PO’d that Genta ruined the curry they were making and now has to supervise the kids so they won’t buy candy at the store. She’s not the same person who tried to kill herself (x2) out of guilt/despair, and she’s not the person who sits in a soccer stadium with sunglasses on trying to stay disconnected from everything. Fanon Shiho deserves the same development of being soft, lively, engaged in the world, being able to feel comfortable with where she is in life. Then, ShinShi would feel more sustainable in the long term and viable to me.
(And, even though I started this saying ‘CoAi’, ShinShi would feel like the most comfortable. And I don’t mean it like a ‘well, more their relationship when they’ve grown’, I mean they should both take the antidote. CoAi works fine and mostly the same, but only in the plotline where Shinichi becomes resistant to the antidote. Even if you remove romantic w/ Ran reasons for wanting his body back, Shinichi still had a life and friends and everything to go back to, so he’d want to return to that, and Shiho would be just as invested in making it happen as she is now for the sake of his happiness. Just, in a ShinShi, story, he’d happen to gain a gf from his time as Conan, and Shiho could be introduced into Shinichi’s existing life instead of building a life for themselves from scratch with the DB as friends and only a select few adults who truly know them.)

Fic idea cause I TOTALLY need more. FFS
It’s KHR so yeah.
Basically Tsuna is a girl and the reason no one knows is cause Nana is a Lightning/Mist and she’s Discorded as a Lightning but is fine as a Mist which is causing her airheaded personality. As well, she’s Fixated (cause I love the fanon of Lightnings fixating on things and just obsessing over them) on the perfect life and the perfect family. Marrying Iemitsu and such was part of this. However, Iemitsu wanted a boy so as far as Nana cares, she had a boy. With her Mist Flames, she subconsciously convinced everyone.
Except she didn’t and Tsuna is aware that she is a girl but no one seems to notice. At first she doesn’t care cause hey, she can do stuff girl’s can’t, however as time went on, she became aware of how awful it was and she hated it but nothing worked. It was worse with her flames sealed to.
As well, the Vongola Brothers don’t die when they do in canon so Tsuna ends up completing Middle School with such low marks she doesn’t get into High school and she ends up working as a waiter.
This is the good thing though- she finds herself able to convince people she is a girl because she chooses to wear the female uniform and her Seal as well is slowly erroding because unlike canon!Tsuna, Tsuna believes all of her issues were caused by her mother for raising her as a boy. So Tsuna has been rebelling for years against her mother and her Will is super strong.
So people start thinking Nana is a bit cracked so Tsuna is pretty much allowed to be whatever she wants and she loves it. Except it also sucks cause Tsuna is very pretty and cute and this means a lot of people dating her to get into her pants and she isn’t very... good at telling when this happens.
It sucks and Tsuna ends up kind of direguarding sex as meaning anything cause it can be used to hurt people.
 Yes this is important.
So Tsuna becomes 18 and manages- because everyone thinks Nana is nuts- to be able to move out to some city without parental supervision. (Because it was only in 2015 that the age of maturity became 18 in Japan. it may not have been changed to. The info is confusing. Some say yes, some say no.)
However, Tsuna has no real skills or abilities other then waitressing and she isn’t so good at it. She’s pretty clumsy and soon she finds herself bouncing around jobs. Until she gets offered cash for sex.
 She takes it.
So Tsuna finds a job for herself and it’s fine until she activates her Flames when attacked by a John. She is visited by the Vendice who kinda go: Oh, we see. Explanation time.
However, the Seal is only half off. Tsuna can’t Harmonize still.
As well though, her Intuition and Flames go funky and then they do stuff without her permission. Like fuck with her birth control and she gets pregnant.
Fuck. So she has a baby and she’s okay with it cause hey, she does like kids. She makes sure her kid won’t know what she does. She’s okay.
Enter Chrome and Murkuro and Chikasu and Ken. Chrome and Murkuro are instantly drawn to her cause they feel her Flames. Murkuro is suspicious until like he realizes she has no idea what she is doing. So they struggle there. They don’t know how to remove the rest of the seal and it sucks.
These four end up being like assassins or something or other and they all live in the same building.
Oh and Tsuna uses Orange Blossom as her work name.
She has a baby girl she names Sakura cause she feels like it’s proper. Sakura is born deaf and all of her family throw themselves into learning sign langauge for her.
Sakura also is a Sunny Sky and her sperm donor is actually Massimo Vongola who had been in Japan on buisness. He did not see the resemblance to the Primo in Tsuna cause Tsuna is a girl.
So Sakura has Vongola and Sawada blood.
Tsuna goes along in life and then her Flames and Intuition go: SURPRISE and pregnant again.
Sakura is like 2 when this happens and Tsuna is like... 21.
This baby is a Stormy Sky who has blond hair and has a creepy giggle. Her sperm donor was an assasin on a trip to Japan to visit a certain sushi place and he took a detour through their city for a job to.
Yeah, you know who I’m talking about.
This baby is named... I dunno. Maybe Hitomi? Akira?
I like Akira. There we go.
So Akira is a Stormy Sky and is cute and adorable and Mukuro is an awful influence.
And then, Tsuna is 24-25, Sakura is five, Akira is three and... the last Vongola brother dies. Xanxus is locked away.
Reborn is sent to her city but wait, where is Tsunayoshi? He does to the red light district and asks around. Tsuna’s Intuition screams at her and she goes: Alright, FINE. So she reveals to him who she is and blah, blah, blah.
Reborn is just like: Wtf Iemitsu. Wtf.
Of course he doesn’t say shit cause this is awful and bad but also hilarious and he’s milking it for all it’s worth. At least until he shows her pictures of the brothers and she goes: Wait, that’s Sakura’s dad.
And now, shit. He was planning on fucking with Vongola but now he has to contact Nono who hears about this and... well, he’s also finding it funny a bit and he’s pleased his granddaughter may inherit. (So she’s deaf? Who cares. She could totally inherit)
When the last bit of her seal is gone, Tsuna Harmonizes with Chrome, Mukuro, Chikasu and Ken and like no one is shocked.
She also Harmonizes with this girl she knows names Rin who is a Lightning and a bouncer who does roller derby and it is epic.
She also apparently was partly Harmonized with Hibari before the Seal and when Tsuna is unsealed, BANG. It clicks into place and he runs at her. And now she has Hibari who calls every day and shit but after they talked it out, they’re all cool with him staying in Nammori and stuff. Tsuna gets territory and stuff and she’s cool with it.
And like... Nono also thinks about maybe marrying Tsuna off to Xanxus cause like hey, it could work right? But ha, Tsuna is like: Nope. Not marrying anyone. All my kids will be bastards. Fight me.
And Nono is... well, he gets it cause he may be an asshole but his mother was one of the strongest women he’s ever met and he loves her deeply and Tsuna kicking ass and taking names makes him think of her but...
Nono is a little bit of an asshole and tries to push. Tsuna responds with explosive glitter bombs. And deciding her next baby will be from one of her Guardians.
Side note: Tsuna stopped her job when Reborn happened cause she was to busy and they used the funds provided by the Vongola. Also, Tsuna doesn’t sleep with her Guardians because again, to her sex is kinda worthless and she prefers other forms of friendship or companionship. (Honestly, Tsuna may just be a sex neutral asexual cause she knows she only ever had sex because her boyfriends wanted to and she only wanted to date cause she wanted company. She’s not aromatic but she’s probably demiromantic)
Tsuna being a woman becomes known in the mafia but only like Nono, his Guardians, and Iemitsu (And those who heard his freak out) know the whole story. everyone else thinks cover which. Sensible.
Hayato and Lambo are still sent to Japan. But double motive as maybe marry her (which ewww for Lambo cause he’s like fifteen and instead Tsuna claims him as a son and he ends up becoming the Lightning for Sakura and it is amazing.)
Hayato and Tsuna... I’m saying they do harmonize but it takes a while cause Hayato has issues with women and Tsuna isn’t fond of him being all ‘Decima!’ and stuff. Also the kids. Hayato is not food with kids.
So it takes a bit but it happens.
Also, I don’t know but maybe Kyoko ends up Tsuna’s Sun cause maybe she goes to the city and then meets up with Tsuna and lalalalalala oh damn. Harmonization.
 Or maybe Reborn? I dunno.
ANYWAY. So this happens and Nono keeps pushing and stuff and Tsuna is having none of it. So when Xanxus does show up she’s like: I ain’t fucking marrying you. Tell your dad no.
He’s like: I don’t wanna marry you either.
And then Tsuna sees Bel and yeah.
Honestly, I have no idea where this came from.
 But it’s fun thinking about.

Why couldn’t Rose find an alternate to manipulating Bede? What was Bede’s role in all of this?
Sooo, Nonny. I have a bit of an embarrassing confession.
That’s one of the things I’m not 100% certain on? Or at the very least it’s not as iron-clad and direct “A caused B to happen” as, say, the decision to revive Eternatus or why he couldn’t wait a day.
That said, I do have a few factors in mind that probably influenced his decision. I’m just kinda bothered because it seems like such a weak justification for something that seems almost unnecessarily cruel. So. Yeah. Join me under the cut I Guess!
Okay so first I have be straight up about MY fault in all of this. To be completely honest, I totally didn’t even realize that there’s no evidence that Rose took Bede in, according to the game, due to the classical error of forgetting the line between Fanon and Canon. So, that was my mistake.
If we were going by what was in game, it probably wouldn’t have seemed like as big of a deal to Rose at all, or at least more hands off. I believe that he genuinely didn’t know how much it would effect Bede because he was too lost in his own mind. And it certainly wouldn’t have been as labor intensive as having to meticulously manipulate a teenager to fulfill his every command without hesitation.
But that’s kinda become a hallmark verse of this blog now soooo I have to roll with it.
First, I should note that Rose DID try seeking alternatives – he didn’t go, “Hey, I need a goon to get Wishing Stars for me – better emotionally abuse my son.” He did try hiring someone to get the wishing stars for him, saying that he’d pay them a high price for each one they got, but that it needed to be carried out with the utmost secrecy. It NEEDED to be a secret because if his Board of Directors found out he was going behind their backs, he’d be removed as CEO.
But the person he hired immediately suspected that there was something a little… Fucky going on with this situation. Why would a CEO be hiring them and paying them money under the table to do this if it wasn’t something illegal or something else really bad?
It didn’t take them long to turn around and try to extort Rose for money. Rose was furious, but there was really nothing that could be done. He gave them what they wanted, and learned a very important lesson -- adults could not be trusted.
Then he tried collecting them himself, but he was so busy all the time, it just wasn’t feasible. Oleana was someone he trusted with his life, but she was so important for making sure the company ran smoothly that he couldn’t possibly send her on a wild goose chase for something like that.
So. That left Bede. Of course, you could be like “Well, why didn’t he have Bede collect the wishing stars WITHOUT becoming a manipulative jackass?” That’s... the part I’m still working out.
If I was pressed, I’d chalk it up to anxiety (“I have to make sure there’s not even a CHANCE that he’ll stray from my commands -- he is about that age where teenagers rebel against their parents’ wishes, after all...”) and also in attempt to provide emotional distance for them both. (“I can’t have Bede mourning for me when I’m gone. It’s better for them to hate me like everyone else will.”) His poor mental state probably contributed to him feeling both of those were great reasons to Do the Thing, as he was completely unmedicated at that time and rapidly spiralling out of control.
But, I gotta be honest. It feels like there’s something missing, even with all of those reasons. Rose obviously loved Bede quite a lot -- it seems... odd that he would just do a heel face turn like that. It makes no sense. So... It’s something that I’m still working on to get to my definition of “quality”. Hopefully this... not-very-good explanation of where I’m at so far helps tide you over until then! (Assuming it’s ever something I work out... which it might not be tbh.)

Yes!! Yes yes yes!! I gotta know, how do characterize Lance in comparison to fanon interpretation?
Well, I mean, I’d love to flatter myself by saying “just do as I do” but I’m as biased as the next person. I mostly just try to study really closely what happens in canon and what doesn’t, because I think rather than being unobservant, fanon reads are kinda like… long games of telephone? Like- when the idea of a character is in your head for a long time, it can get blurry what happened and what you just kinda… imagine happened.
Any time I’m unsure of my read on a character it’s good to just go back and rewatch episodes.
Really good things to look at as far as character episodes: look at episodes that are focused on them and what’s the Big Thing They Did.
For example: Lance in s2e2 succeeded not because he was a better fighter or a good leader, but pretty much because he kept listening to people. He met and trusted Luxia at first- which got him exposed to the mind control, but also got him in where the rebels saw him and could rescue him, and gave him an understanding of what they were talking about since he’d experienced himself. Then he trusted the rebels to hear them out, and try to help with their plan- which got him to rescue Hunk and Luxia being hit with the antidote. Then, again, he heard Luxia out, which let him realize that the queen was patient zero rather than the mastermind behind the controlling, and know the source of the trouble was the Baku.
So listening to and connecting with others is very important for Lance. This is repeated in s4e6 where Lance’s huge moment in the finale- helping break the barrier on Naxzela- is entirely through his faith in Allura and his connecting with her as a person. It’s also reflected by the Blue Lion’s position on Voltron, and again somewhere else.
Other good things to look at is: what did a character do right when we see them for the first time, and their first episode? In s1e1, Lance is characterized first as kind of a cocky braggart who is actually more insecure than he seems (his “S-see? She was- she was nodding” and his look of resignation when they crash are not the behaviors of someone legitimately that arrogant) and then prominently by his willingness to try and protect Pidge at personal cost even when we see no real indication he and Pidge are even friends- at that point she’s mostly grumbling at him and undermining him.
It’s also good to look at situations where that character’s response is very different from the rest of their team’s- since Voltron is an ensemble show, group impressions are a big deal.
In s1e2, Lance panics much more than anybody else when the blindfolds go on in the trust fall exercise. I believe this is an early warning for something we don’t see explored in full until s2e10- that Lance, as team sniper, relies heavily on his eyesight.
In s4e4, consistently, Lance is the only one comfortable and enjoying himself when the rest of the team is either distressed or annoyed with the whole affair. This ended up being a big fountain of meta for me, mostly one of the major thrusts behind my read on Lance as asexual and what role his “flirty persona” serves for him psychologically. And I didn’t go into it really expecting to learn much about Lance- just “isn’t it interesting Lance is the only one out of the team who seems really good at acting and he’s also the only one who responds positively to the role Worm Coran gives him”
So, again- I think it’s important, if you really wanna sink time and energy into a character, the best way to do it is as straight from the source as possible. Meta, even meta of people you respect, should be supplemented by going back and refreshing with the actual canon, otherwise it’s really easy to build off in directions that might have a very tenuous footing in canon.
That’s honestly, for me, my personal issue with a lot of things that are pretty much fandom inside jokes that might’ve had some kernel of original canon but that become near unrecognizable- like conspiracy theorist Keith who loves Mothman, or Keith being lactose intolerant.
The latter, I think, at least works as a quirky aside- galra appear partially reptilian and it’s ambiguous whether or not they have mammary glands and nurse their young, and if they don’t there’d be no reason whatsoever for them to develop the capacity to digest milk. But that’s just it- it works as a quirky factoid. I’ve seen a lot of fan stuff that seems to make this utterly baseless assumption that Keith is both lactose intolerant and prone to guzzling dairy products when stressed when we have no reason to believe Keith is a stress-eater in the slightest. If anything, his response to high stress in canon would suggest he’s more of a stress-isolator than anything- an upset Keith is virtually always one who removes himself from the rest of the team and starts finding excuses to avoid whatever’s bothering him, most obvious in s4e1 where he’s been avoiding Voltron and the Black Lion.
If something has the smallest foothold in canon, it should have a pretty small foothold in fanwork- there’s building on a character with headcanons and theories, and then there’s making them nearly unrecognizable because a quality you’re depicting as super pronounced in them doesn’t exist in canon, creating this jarring disconnect of “if Keith shovels ice cream every time he feels even mildly rejected then why wasn’t he at bare minimum looking for something to eat during the downtime he had in s2e9-11?”
At least that’s my… probably more than two cents.

okay, honestly, I don't want to complain here and risk ruining someone's mood, but since I write Jemma Simmons and my way to see the show influences this blog, I have to say that I don't like how her storyline is going now, especially from the moment she was reunited with Fitz; I feel it's going to follow the same cycle it followed every other time. I also don't extra-ship FS canon-wise as much anymore, not for any super strong reason, it's just not my kind of OTP the way it's written and I need to explore it in writing to feel in love with the couple again.    In my blog I adore my ships (and when in some verses they don't work as well that's also 100% acceptable and enjoyable for me because at least it's in a way that I can appreciate, because we write them as real with real issues) In the show I ship them, I want them to be happy, I'll make gifsets, I love the concept of them, but I only love them in roleplay when we work through their problems together, and going a bit au or rewriting parts of their pasts. It's still an OTP in fanon, it's the canon that I'm... detached from and I just enjoy it as general audience, taking what I get and loving the episodes; when I have to write Jemma and focus on them in a deeper way, I can't just follow canon. I wouldn't know how to write a human being like that.
more specifically under the cut because it's me complaining and therefore some rare negativity to explain what I don't like/don't want (no one *has* to read it to understand, you'll just see me going on a different direction in my threads, with for example a reasonably traumatized Jemma) (no hate against characters)
to sum it up quickly: when I write Jemma, she'll be more short-tempered, moody because stressed out, prone to lose hope every now and then, though still loving and protective. I will obviously keep writing FS. But I might want to rewrite some things or discuss some parts instead of simply considering 'good' what has happened up until now. I also want to write more of Jemma's interactions with the rest of the team and with people checking on her too (which my rp partners already do, tho, so this is just in general for potential new ones, it wouldn't be exactly like in canon with Jemma shrugging everything off). I’m also not opposed to threads where they broke up and it wasn’t... as devastating and life ending as it was in other verses I wrote (obviously when it’s starting there, if they broke up in verses we wrote she’d be destroyed)
but with the ‘cycle repeating’ I meant how she goes through something horrible while alone (Maveth, torture, kill/resurrect May, the super traumatic fight with LMD Fitz that left her 'malfunctioning', literally waking up in her grave like one hour later to start her first terrible day in the Framework, every trauma there, and now being enslaved - and we have seen how much of a big deal that was) and then... a couple of jokes, literally, about how she had it kinda bad (same way she joked about Hive touching her face while wearing Grant Ward's body and using Will's memory, now she joked about being enslaved) and that's it, she's normal, she's giving hope, she's being supportive of Fitz and... she's just moving on, she's somehow either okay or magically repressed everything because the plot requires her to be okay and work, no payoff after what happened either. Literally, even when she joined the group again, group that didn't know where she was since Daisy wasn't able to communicate with her anymore, nor May, the surprise because Fitz and Daisy were there meant only Elena touched her arm as a way to say hi, after she came back bleeding from her ear. I was expecting a far nicer reunion with the team, since she disappeared taken by Sinara. Also apparently she got that thing removed from her ear, could barely stand and walk because of vertigo and nausea, but not long after she reached the Zephyr and was so okay she was thinking about making out.
I just don't find it realistic: not that she'd be so okay emotionally and physically, nor that she'd keep travelling and being so willing to take more risks after every single time there is no time to process, not that she can just repress that much, all in a row, no sign of it, just joke around and be able to work And this is coming from a person who is always super hopeful as much as humanly possible, but you need breaks and you need to vent if you want to also support others.
it's always: she and Fitz get separated, and either Fitz travels through space and time to save her and then she has to put her trauma aside because everybody else was dealing with something huge in the meanwhile and she has to support them, or it's Fitz who is taken, she goes to bring him home and ultimately fails ? and then someone else saves him.
I don't like it. Fitz's storylines are mostly about how to save Jemma, Jemma's storylines are mostly about encouraging Fitz. I haven't really seen Fitz feel that much better, I haven't really seen Jemma react to anything that happened to her once she has left the site of the trauma. There is a lot that doesn't work for me. If I write the ship, it will be with Jemma traumatized, not always ready to see the positive brighter side anymore, needing just as much help and affection as the others not just from Fitz but from the whole team, and while she will stay as part of shield in verses where she's there it's going to be different. (Also hey, I'm all for women and men not having to be fighters to be good characters, but at the same time if your work involves constantly getting beaten, kidnapped, saving people, almost dying or having to be saved, you do have to learn to defend yourself and others as much as possible, so I don't think she'd be only relying on brute force and little gadgets like in the show, where, fair enough, every character has their thing, but she'd have trained to avoid feeling even more guilty for needing to be rescued again) Like, in the last three episodes, I totally get the excitement of being reunited to Fitz, the new wave of energy and strength at seeing him, and wanting to make out with him because she also expresses herself physically, but making jokes about having been a slave that are a one-liner and forgotten, and already in this episode encouraging everyone about the Zephyr, encouraging Fitz about changing the past, it just made me think: can she realistically have all that energy, hope, patience, after the horrible time she spent under Kasius' control, powerless, silent, the very opposite of Jemma Simmons, and this right after the mess of the Framework, which was right after the LMDs' horror? Even repression can only go so far, and not for 854894 traumas one after the other, and from there to being so nonchalant and hopeful it takes a lot
As much as I love the general idea of characters staying hopeful and playful and happy, in her context I just can't see it happening in a realistic way, not when it comes to her right there and then, so when I write I will write her differently and she might even break under stress, doesn't matter if she *has* to keep her head on, because sometimes it's just not a choice.

oh man I'm leaving you so many comments but AH that makes sense re: Percy/Vex because I know so many people are SO INTO IT and I am still lukewarm at best (although I like how it's handled on the show, at least so far, for the most part). Friends getting friends to ship these is The Most Dangerous.
Friends Are Very Dangerous (and I like your many comments! never stop! well maybe someday this post is kinda ridiculously long already)

YESSSSSSSSSSSS JANIE YES YES YES WHAT SHE SAID
i LOVE ME1 Kaidan I LOVE THAT HE HAS HIS SHIT TOGETHER
I mean on the continuum you have Carth (completely wrecked), Alistair (just a sad puppy), Sky (wrecked but doing okay), and then Kaidan's all like "yeah I mean I accidentally killed a guy when I was seventeen but I've had time to work it out I'm good" and I was all *heart eyes forever*.
Which is part of why I have to like completely ignore Kaidan/the Kaidanmance in ME3 because they completely removed that essential part of him, that he HAS HIS SHIT TOGETHER, and he's just such a woobie and whatever, writers, whatever.
*this.gif*
Like, ME1 Kaidan = FAVE FOREVER and I still haven’t played ME3 Kaidan. Also I’m still mad about the way they treated him and Ashley in 3 and ALSO the way they like dumped almost all the LIs from 2? LIKE 2 was ABOUT YOUR TEAM BUILDING and then 3 they threw them all away. well that was an important team chapter! *rage.gif*

and fandom is so *weird*, like, look at Quark and DA2 (my experience wasn't helped by the fact that I played through with *Thistle*), clearly things took off for her there, and I felt bad that I was less invested in something so important to her but I just couldn't find anywhere that *fit*.
Also I killed Fenris on my first playthrough but that's not canon, cough.
Also I didn't understand how important Fenris was because I also didn't *know* Fenris like at all, cough cough.
I also managed not to either friend or rival Varric, which Quark still marvels over.
"HE'S *DESIGNED* TO BE YOUR BFF! HOW DO YOU FAIL TO GET INFLUENCE WITH HIM?"
Varric is not any of Hawkes’ BFF on a meta/storytelling/RPG level. If, you know, that helps you feel better. (I don’t remember what I did with actual gameplay approval stuff.) I just ... I feel like sometimes I am playing a drastically different game than the one that other people play? I mean, I frequently adore characters that fanon deplores, but it’s a symptom of a greater disconnect, I think, not just the only example.
I mean, the game should be somewhat different with a different sort of OC, (I mean, Thistle, she is a difficult person) but at the same time you should be able to see where it is the same game, and sometimes I cannot manage that. See: the world’s reaction to Sebastian. ;) (I mean, I like fanon Fenris way more than the relationship the game actually gave me. Much like I enjoy fanon Miranda while the potent combination of sexism/titillation/judgemental-asshatery that’s in the game makes me vaguely ill at best.

Just like I have 2 blackwall stories in my head... and I don't want to drop either
I have at least five Erana/Blackwall related stories, and there’s some ME and DA2 always and also still So Much Theia and I mean, honestly, with the exception of actually having written my Yuletide and posting it on time (thanks to @jessaknits) my WIP-List-of-Doom is almost exactly identical to the way it was three months ago.

there is a lot of ick, yes. and you are also awesome

I totally get the appeal of the disaster husbands, boy howdy. And that story doesn't play the same way if you gender swap, because Patriarchy. Hmph
They have to be the right kind of disaster husband though. It’s very hard to explain. :D But yes. Husband who is too awesome for any lady to keep up with is instantly icky, but wife who is too awesome for anyone to keep up with is instantlly glorious.
Because Patriarchy

tbh I always assumed they made Cass straight for the same reason they made Alistair and Aveline straight -- because they have a mental block against the idea of "Lawful Good" types being bi.
Well, yeah. I thought that was obvious? It’s why the only time they managed an entire Bisexual Cast was when they were basically all criminals and Disaster!Children.
