you ever just have a lot, a LOT of feelings all at once about a character and not even remotely enough words or brainpower to FORM the words to describe everything you're feeling. so it feels like you may explode. yeah
#sorry i got really into my feelings about mark hoffman again#the very specific version of him in my brain that i really really wish i had the time and energy to properly share with you guys#saw#well until i muster the energy to explode all of my feelings out into a fic. if you want to TRY and understand#know that my three biggest hoffman fic insps right now are as follows#your best kept secret hoffman. a series of mistakes hoffman. and rushed like a dreadful wind hoffman.#there is a very clear throughline just know i am extremely emotionally compromised rn#thinking about theee fics vs the canon path hoffman spirals down#something something the absolute tragedy of watching a man's descent into madness#the transformation of a man into a monster#and what could have saved him from himself and kramer's corruption#sorry i'm rambling so much oh my god i was just having such a crying fit out of nowhere about this#do you think he could feel it happening. do you think he was aware he was losing his mind.#the script version of him fucks with me so bad. the crazed rankings and the longer hair and him not being well kept anymore#it's impossible to think he didn't know he was deteriorating#fuuuck okay i need to either chill or write a whole longfic rn#i project on that guy so much i truly don't know if i could properly write my vision of him#until i do something more substantial the full extent of my hoffman exists for me and my boyfriend only. they get me like no one else#well ginny and jenna also get me. please read best kept secret and a series of mistakes Oh My God#where am i going with this. i like tag rambling actually this is a nice way to do it without forcing EVERYONE to read my delirium#anyways if you've read all of this i think i love you? feel free to dm me about hoffman and my very specific headcanons and aus#maybe soon i'll try and start writing my fics about this tragic man#i could never say any of this on twitter btw they'd string me up for my opinions on him as a sad wet beast who could have been fixed#if only he hadn't been weaponized first#god i'm too tired to even be as embarrassed about this as i should be. thought i unlearned cringe already#but i've been spending way too much time on twitter and they HAAATE hoffman there#rip. i know it's not that serious but i'm sensitive rn and hate feeling lonely in my thoughts#ok bye for real otherwise i'll never shut up. i might tag ramble more often bc this was therapeutic in a way i needed badly#cat chat

So. I think Omega is force sensitive with the potential to be trained because otherwise why even bring it up? And I think that it will be relevant that the boys now, and especially Hunter, now know that when she doesn't.
But I don't think that we're actually going to see Omega leave to get trained. I think she'll consider it. She might even decide to do it. But I think in the end she'll choose to stay with the Batch. Look at the rest of the show - its all been about sticking through tough times with your community, loyalty and belonging with your family, the efforts to bring the batch back together.
Specifically I'm thinking of Tribe too. Gungi was our last featured force sensitive character, and he gets returned to Kashyyyk because "Jedi or not, he's still a child. He needs his people." We get that line from the elder, "When a young one leaves the trees weep, but when they return the trees sing." It doesn't sound like a show that eventually plans to have Omega leave her family that she's tried so hard to stay with.
(And isn't it interesting with that quote that the tree Ventress sends her to is the "weeping" maya tree?)
Much like the first two seasons push to reunite the family fall flat if Tech is dead for good and we never see the family together, Omega leaving in the end would utterly obliterate most of the central theme that the first two seasons spent all that time setting up. It turns from a family fighting to stay together to a story about how Omega really needed to separate from them all along for everyone's own good. It's a complete dissonance from every other theme that we've seen, and I just don't think they set up that you need to stick together with your people to survive just to use season 3 to knock it all back down and say that actually isolation and permanent separation from your loved ones is the way to go.
So why introduce the idea? Because for Omega's choice to stay to have any weight, she needs a viable alternative that she could have chosen. She needs to see another path at all, maybe even needs to think she's going to choose it at first, but I think that in the end she's going to return to the batch and to the family that she's grown so much with.

Quin: *learns that Obi-Wan slept with Jango*
Quin:
Obi-Wan:
Quin: now? really?
Quin: what is it about Mandalorians?
Obi-Wan: fuck off, Quin
[fast forward to the point Quin realises re's in love with Fox]
Quin:
Obi-Wan:
Obi-Wan: so
Quin: *glares*
Obi-Wan: *crosses hir arms with self-satisfaction*
Obi-Wan: what is it about those Mandalorians, I wonder?
Quin: *flips hir off*
(this is actually a pretty accurate re-telling of young man came from hunting, come to think of it)

Can i talk about very slightly force sensitive Hunter PLEASE
The Facts
- at least once per episode knowing something’s wrong seconds before it happens
- It’s mostly just that, but someone also pointed out he always knows when Crosshair’s about to show up or say something
That’s the Force, baby, that’s the FORCE
Was it an intentional mutation? Could be, but i think no. Midichlorians barely make sense in-universe and i just think that makes them a difficult thing to study biologically—like its not really genetic, but sometimes it is, and the best reason anyone has for why anyone has different m-counts at all is just “the will of the force”
With the Force, everyone is connected to it, that’s the whole thing. Just some more so than others, in a spectrum. Probably all the best pilots and sharpshooters are just a tiny bit more in tune with it than most people. (I also have thoughts on an even-less-force-sensitive Crosshair, and how it would play a role in his fall)
But Kaminoans notice he has this slight precognition and it goes with a barely above average m-count, and take interest, going in and purposely trying to create a Force-sensitive clone. Making Hunter even more of Omega’s dad
Now, I don’t think this would be really canon to the show, and even if it is I don’t think exploring it fits with the story as it is, and really I enjoy a SW show that stays away from Jedi shit,
But imagine several scenarios:
-Someone (Ventress) explains to Omega, in front of the group, how she knows she has a strong connection to the Force and should be trained, noting things like intuition and precognition, and Hunter shakes his head “That’s not the Force, that’s just normal” like a parent not realizing they have the same mental illness their child was just diagnosed with
-It means that, for the purposes of Project Necromancer, Hunter could take Omega’s place. And he would do it in a heartbeat

So while I understand that the intent of the writing in Clone Wars was not to showcase that Anakin regularly gets his men killed because he forgets their physical limitations, the way he is written in the show does actually manage to send that message.
I can list two intentionally written moments where Anakin is shown forgetting his own troopers' physical limitations, one of which does actively get them killed, and one unintentional moment where he is shown putting his men in a situation where he is automatically going to be better off than any of them and several of them die during the execution of his plan.
So this is one of those moments where, while I understand that the INTENT was not to show Anakin as incompetent enough as a General to regularly get his men killed, the actual impact of the writing is that Anakin has a pattern of behavior where he forgets his own men's physical limitations enough to get them killed, a trait not given to a single other Jedi aside from Ahsoka. And when it happens to Ahsoka, she spends the entire episode having to pay for that mistake and then we never see her do it again.
Therefore my personal headcanon is that while Anakin does, sort-of, care about and respect his men and their lives, he's the only Jedi incompetent enough to get his men killed by simply forgetting their limitations, even over two years into working with them.

Happy Pi Day! Or... is it pie day? White day?
Whatever, today is something and I'm celebrating whatever it is with this ship I'm far too obsessed with for how little screentime they have.

1 and/or 9 for Sifo-Dyas, king blorbo 💙
ahahahha we have the same braincell it seems
very well,
why do you like/dislike this character?
Sifo-Dyas is just thebultimative vessel for multitudes. This bad boy can fit so much trauma, gentleness, flirting, badassery and stupidity in him it's unbelievable. I like a character that has obvious flaws and even more that aren't as obvious and still is deep down a good person (or tries to be).
Also I personally just love to think about and play with all the implications of someone living more and more in clashing versions of the future than in the present. I'm pretty sure it would do HORRORS to anyone.
and i LOVE to put Sifo through those :33
as for
9. could I be roommates with this character?
hhhhh probably not. But that's because I hate sleeping in the same room as ANY living, breathing person other than me.
too much noise.
:P

kinda funny that I wrote the dialogue for this scene right before the new a*soka episode dropped and all that force sensitive discourse happened. Anyway this isn’t gonna lead to anything angsty :) don’t worry about it :)
Bix hovered just behind the pilot’s seat of the Crimson Huntress as Imogen ran diagnostics. The mechanic watched closely with her arms crossed, though her troubled thoughts made the silence between them feel louder than the beeps and whirs of the ship. “The last time you left, I was told you were dead.”
Imogen barely glanced over her shoulder, too occupied with her current tasks to be bothered by the other woman’s concerns. “You were given false information by a man who lacks any real ability to kill me.”
“But how am I supposed to know that?” Bix pushed back with a more insistent tone and began to pace in the cockpit. “Are you just going to disappear and I have to wait until I need to decide on what the appropriate amount of time is to realize you’re not actually coming back?”
“You would know if I was dead.”
“How?”
“You would sense it,” Imogen answered confidently.
Bix scoffed as she shook her head. “You know I don’t have that kind of power, Imogen. At all.”
Imogen sat back in her seat with a sigh. Luthen’s attempt on her life still occupied space in both of their minds, but where Imogen sought restitution, the roots of fear coiled inside of Bix to a point where she anticipated a loss that Imogen would not allow to happen. She should have felt offended that Bix thought she might get herself killed so easily. Instead of stern assurance, Imogen stood and approached her beloved mechanic with gentle intent.
“All living beings are connected through the Force, Bix. You and I, we share a strong bond. If I were truly gone, you would feel it. Here.” Imogen placed her hand on Bix’s chest. Warmth seeped into her palm as she sensed the rhythmic energy flow through the vibrant life underneath her touch. Bix regarded her curiously while she listened. “You would feel it as a certainty that shakes you down to the core. So, if there is even a single doubt within your heart, know that I still live and that I am trying to find my way back to you.”
Bix slowly let her arms untangle to hold Imogen against her by the waist. “If you say so,” she replied with uncertainty, though her expression had softened.
Imogen brushed her hands up the mechanic’s neck and cupped her face. “I would make it so.”

maybe if we lived in a society that valued individual needs and nurtured and cared for ppl who are different i wouldnt "wish" death upon ppl ._.
#my proposal is:#communities specifically made for noise sensitive ppl#like apartment building made w materials that isolate noise#and where for example on some floors kids arent allowed to live. some floors arent allowed to take in dogs etc etc#no loud music is allowed to be played#and outside of the buildings loud noise isnt allowed such as no playgrounds or dog parks etc etc#and this housing area could be fenced so it's rlly just the ppl who have chosen to live there that can be there#then ONLY ppl who wanted peace and quiet could live here and have a safe haven in the world#if u choose to live there then u will want and choose to respect the rules and be mindful abt others and be quiet#and if u want a 'normal' living situation u choose to NOT live there#if things like this existed i'd be so fkn happy#we all should be able to CHOOSE how we want to live#there are other groups of ppl who want to live in other ways and they should also be able to choose#there r many of us who are different but we are still a minority#and we are forced to live in a wild messy jungle that we arent naturals in. we survive not thrive#we are forced to be in mental agaony every day bc we dont fit into society's regulations and boxes#no one should live like that. society should be built for ALL of us and all out different special needs#but the thing is that ok even if society doesnt care and give us it for free or without fight#ppl actively work to HINDER and prohibit ppl to create new ways of living#when ppl try to make new exclusive spaces that fit their own needs#here comes a sudden influx of normal ppl being angry and upset that theyre excluded from smth#if i tried to suggest building these communities and even succeeded in gathering support for it#ppl in the state and normal ppl in society would be AGAINST me#theyd be angry that i wanted to create a space that excluded them#why cant i live there??????? I ME ME ME ME who is normal is all that matters#everything should aaaaaalways be made for normal people#if any other of us who wants to make their own space dares to even suggest it normies get mad#hell if ppl w wheelchairs wanted to create a walled community where only they were allowed i'd be supporting them#bc i think every single one of us deserves to live in a safe space that calms us#and it isnt your right to encroach on someone else's safe space. everyone are entitled to safe spaces no matter who that excludes

In the Legends timeline, Asajj Ventress faked her death after the Battle of Boz Pity and hijacked a shuttle to get away from the Clone Wars. What do you think happened to her afterwards? How would she survive the Imperial Era? Would she have joined the Rebellion later on? Would she gain the will or courage to become a Jedi again?
Ooooh I think about this a lot so: I think as a plot point, in the story itself, it's better left unanswered. The way Haden Blackman left it is just the open ending I feel Asajj should be left with, and since Legends isn't going to be continued anyway, it's also going to be left like that forever irl. However if I do let my mind wander and think of some other possibilities, and I do, like all the time, there are so many options
I think first and foremost, something in her mindset would have changed. She no longer has a purpose, and she was discarded by a person she thought gave her a new one. I don't think she would try to be a Jedi again, because associating herself with the order, even if it's gone, is something that goes against some of her most deeply rooted principles and feelings. I do think she would start by going back to Rattatak and try to find meaning there. (Sorry if my internal search for meaning is seeping through to my favorite characters but it's hard for it not to) I think there'd have to be someone or something to drive her to become a rebel, even if it's the Empire itself destroying something she still holds dear. I think with that kind of thing there's obviously no definitive answer, and you can go whatever way you want with it. Her being a rebel is interesting because the Rebellion as an alliance has the goal of restoring the republic, and she used to be a Separatist and probably has a lot of Dooku's thoughts on it. I think she can also try to track down surviving/new Force users to create a new order and I don't have a particular reason for this but she has the vibes of someone with aspirations to create a new kind of force users order. long answer already but also. I don't think the Empire nor the Inquisitors have anything on her so it won't be too difficult for her to survive that era imo

this is a cry for help. been feeling nostalgic for star wars fanfic lately so I'm lifting up my followers like a rock to see how many star wars fans are left here. does anyone know a good time travel fic. it can't be dominoes I still remember the plot of that. most important thing is that it's long as balls. if it's finished that's a nice bonus. if ezra bridger is involved that's cool.
