hawthorne brothers in bed head canons

@s-rosie requested javery ones but it disappeared so im just tagging you T-T. ok so i decided to combine two posts so i wouldn't have to do this twice. i sort of promised i'd do hawthorne brothers and then i got this request so this is both of them. @catapparently and @never-enough-novels helped with this a bit. i apologize if this sucks, i felt kinda awkward making this (and you can clearly see that bc of the way i wrote things but i also had fun). also, there are more averyjameson ones cause i love them and find it easier to write for them. some of these are also less dirty than others (i also apologize if yall wanted something dirtier). hope you like them <3. tags: @lanterns-and-daydreams

jameson and avery:

i saw someone make a post about this but jameson is totally into being handcuffed to the bed (or wherever they're doing it).

they both have praise kinks (i think this is obvious) (especially jamie)

avery always wears clothes that are either easy to take off or give easy access if you know what i mean (cause there's always a chance they might do it in a random bathroom somewhere and she wants to be prepared).

jameson is really into dry humping (with avery of course)

they're both switches (they're not doms or subs, they're a mix of both sort of for those who don't know what a switch is)

jamie will literally always eat her out before they actually fuck bc he's terrified of hurting her and wants to make sure she's wet enough.

his gf uses his suit ties to tie him to the bed (or he blindfolds her with them sometimes)

definitely not rough, like ever. he's a very sweet lover and will constantly ask his gf if she's ok or if she wants to stop.

one of the reasons why his gf ties him to the bed sometimes is that he's such a people pleaser that he'll stop his lover from making him feel good because he feels guilty that he's not the one doing it to his lover if he isn't tied up.

max is a very big fan on lingerie. it makes her look sexy and xander finds her hot so its a win win.

i really apologize if this sucks. for some i didn't have as many ideas and then sometimes i got a little awkward (but i mostly laughed a lot making this post).

I don't mind sharing! I had to go through the archive to remember which ones I wanted to check out, but a few of them would be The Walten Files, Red vs. Blue, The Murderbot Diaries, I Am In Eskew, and The Mistholme Museum of Mystery, Morbidity, and Mortality. Many of the characters posted here look interesting, but I'm such a slow watcher/player/reader/etc. that it'd take me decades to go through everything lol

girl what do you feel about kris' and noelle's relationship in snowgrave i want to know

OK OK. first of all thank you for specifying "in snowgrave" because if you just said their relationship in general i would literally never stop talking.

second tho, im really bad at putting how i feel about character dynamics into words because often there's just soooooo much to be said and different ways of looking at it and i get overwhelmed if i try to make some all-encompassing analysis. so let it be known that whatever i say here is not the full picture and there's so much more i could say.

putting this under the cut because i already know im gonna talk for way too long:

that being said oughghghhgh. where to fucking begin. i'd say the most fascinating (and disturbing) thing about their relationship in snowgrave is the weird romantic undertones. the fact that you have to pressure noelle into the idea of riding the ferris wheel with KRIS instead of with susie, her actual crush.

one of the most overt symbols of this weirdness is definitely the thorn ring. i know it isnt the only ring you give to noelle to equip, but this is the one that's mandatory for the snowgrave route. in order to do the route, you have to make KRIS give NOELLE a RING. a ring that literally HURTS HER TO WEAR. if that isnt a metaphor for a forced relationship i dont know what is

however perhaps the most damning and obvious one is of course this option:

i would say something about this myself but @/sorrybutiforgothowtomakecontent's tags on another one of my posts really summed it up:

im also aromantic so this really resonated with me. but yeah just going back to the first point they make. you literally HAVE to say "we're something else" in order to do the snowgrave route, which seems to make it pretty clear that this kinda subtext was intended. snowgrave can only exist with kris and noelle being "something else" because that's literally what snowgrave IS.

my favorite way to view snowgrave is through the lens of an arranged/forced marriage. again, the ring. it just feels so gross, especially because it's not just a regular marriage but an abusive marriage. snowgrave is abuser simulator (2021). im sure i dont need to explain that part

but the thing is, SNOWGRAVE IS NOT JUST ABOUT NOELLE and that's what makes it SO BAD. not only is noelle being forced to go through all of this, but KRIS is being forced to be the one who does it to her! kris clearly is EXTREMELY upset about snowgrave judging from the constant opportunities to choose more "normal" dialogue and abort the route, and from afterwards when they meet back up with ralsei and susie:

kris, under no circumstances, wants to do ANY of this. but they literally do not have a choice. snowgrave isnt kris manipulating noelle, it is US forcing kris into manipulating noelle. no one is winning here. they're both traumatized, and kris physically cannot even talk to their friends about it or show the true extent of their hurt. it SUCKSSSSS

and when you consider the idea that kris and noelle's friendship may have become strained specifically due to dess' disappearance, and kris possibly having something to do with that with the bunker and whatnot..... well now you're just forcing kris to hurt their friend AGAIN, when in the normal route this could've been their chance to finally reconnect. ahghrhgrhghh

going back to the marriage stuff, it's just so uncomfortable to see these two forced together like this. noelle is in love with susie. we dont know kris well enough to know if they have a crush on anyone (or if they get those kinds of feelings at all), but that doesn't matter. the fact is these two are likely not romantically interested in each other at all, and they are being forced together BY THE PLAYER. and it's horrific. (and even if one or both of them felt that way, this is still entirely wrong. they do not get a choice here)

@/hellspawnmotel's tags on this comic of hers will always haunt me, bcuz like. yeah. this is it:

there's also the fact that kris is naturally kind of a goofball; they're a prankster, especially it seems when it comes to noelle, as can be seen with the stepping off the button thing or the many, many examples from their shared childhood brought up by noelle.

but in the snowgrave route, kris drops this entirely. all of the alternate dialogue options to abort the route, which are very likely FROM kris, are very genuine and apologetic. kris is scared they're going to lose their friendship with noelle completely because of what you're making them do, and it's like they panic and all of their usual goofiness and sass is just dropped for genuine emotion. it's really sad to see honestly, esp in a full snowgrave route where you know that their efforts will be in vain.

OH OH ALSO. can't believe i haven't mentioned this yet. the fact that NOELLE KNOWS SOMETHING IS GOING ON WITH KRIS. THAT'S one of the things that really makes me insane.

noelle goes through ALL THAT, seemingly AT THE HANDS OF HER FRIEND....... and yet. she knows that something is wrong. she KNOWS kris, and she knows that they don't act like this. you'd think she would instantly cast kris off, it would be the right thing to do, but she doesn't. because she knows that something is off.

i cannot stress enough the fact that noelle is the ONLY one who seems to have noticed just how strange kris has been acting. sure other characters comment on kris seeming off or doing something they usually wouldn't do, but it is NOELLE and NOELLE ALONE who takes such notice of it and decides to actually DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

"i have to figure it out" is a mission statement, it implies that noelle (at least in the snowgrave route), is going to actively try to figure out what's going on with kris, WHICH IS CRAZYY and i feel like not enough people are talking about. not even kris's own mother has fully realized something's wrong. like she says, noelle seems to be the only one who's noticed just how off kris has been acting, and the only one who might try to understand and help them. genuinely makes me insane thinking of where that might go in this route oaugurhghh

im gonna stop here because im exhausting myself but. in conclusion I LOVE CHILDHOOD FRIENDS GONE WRONG!!!!!!!!! FAVORITE TROPE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!! anyways read this comic (all 3 parts) and you'll get it

oh also "kris, why are you wearing my watch?" still makes me go fucking insane

any phobias? i am afraid of all bugs, but i can be a grownup about most kinds of them. i Cannot be a grownup about moths or centipedes, which i am terrified of (using those words will cause this post to be filtered for me on tumblr). i try not to kill them if i can avoid it, since it isnt their fault i'm like this, but i,,, i really can't, i'm useless if i see one. when id find centipedes in my room at my last house i wouldnt be able to sleep.

favorite childhood sport? i did tennis all of middle and high school, explicitly because of ryoma echizen prince of tennis lol. i was on varsity! i also figure skated as a kid. both are still fun when i get the chance

do you talk to yourself? oh yes all the time. i keep odd hours so i used to accidentally wake my roommate cause i just kind of absentmindedly chatter abt everything

what movies do you adore? i am not really a movie person if i'm perfectly honest; i don't watch them often as an adult. from my childhood my favorite movies were kenneth branagh much ado about nothing, the princess bride, pokemon 2000, and return of the king

coffee or tea? neither, i dont like most hot drinks. apple cider is ok now and again but i usually drink it cold, and im horribly picky about hot chocolate

I'm going to type this out one more time I did it once like 3 years ago im so mad I cannot find it but I have no one to blame but myself (mostly) because im not good at tagging and tumblr's tag search system is basically nonexistent anyway.

Okay class today we're talking about Sucking Dick, Cock, Penis, Phallus, if you will.

Not angry or disapointed or betrayed. Just sad. Like to the point of not eating or sleeping. Just bc of watcher. And no I'm not sad at the paywall. Im sad that their getting all this backlash. I cant imagin Ryan rn. I hope he's ok. But I'm just sad that people are saying their evil and that Shanes iconic "eat the rich" is being used against him, as well as Stevens rich-boy-tesla standpoint. It makes me angry. All I do is look at comments. All day. I took off my apprenticeship today bc I'm so upset. I know it sounds like I'm obsessed, but I'm just sad. For watcher, and their fans, and what they think their doing. I just feel sad bc I can see Ryan and Steven and Shane freaking out about what they had done and looking at our mean comments and videos with misty eyes. I've watched the video essays. And it's just sad. I want to hug them and tell them its alright. But I cant and I'm sad. I don't know if I'll even be ok. It's just rough. I know Im acting like I know them but i don't and I don't know if what their doing is for greed and money. And its just a sad thought with a sad situation and I feel sick just reading these fucking comments. Im sad and i cant do anything about it.

Ok this is going under a cut becus . . . Its ben and BEN and if u didnt know i am Obnoxious about these two. Im gonna try to keep it organized a bit, so ill talk about the canon stuff first and then ill talk my personal headcanons and my fic so le's go!

In terms of the age and child thing, yeah i 100% believe you are correct. Ive been p open on my stance with the whole "is ben a child?" thing, and i think a lot of the heat with it comes down to current fandom purity culture and the pro/anti thing. So, lemme try to like. Boil down a complicated situation into smth easy to read. ahem

Ben Lawman and BEN are completely different entities guys, and for those that do not know the arg story, the Ben you know is not human nor a child.

You know BEN, BEN is the one in the story who terrorizes jadusable and spreads himself on the internet as a virus. That BEN is a program, a mess of code, an AI, however you want to interpret it. Personally i interpret it as a series of protocols running in a machine, like a self learning AI, but ive seen lots of cool interpretations of BEN. So . . . What does BEN specifically? Its an anagram for the Behavioral Event Network. If you dont wanna call it BEN cuz it gets confusing with actual kid Ben, do what i do. I call mine Evie :) ive seen some call it Netty, my bf calls his two izzi and clever (@benilos btw hes also got crazy ben stuff). Just go ham! Have fun! Remember when fandoms were about having fun and not accusing each other of pedo shit and call each other horrible things for just writing black-to-grey characters and stories??

Anyways ive gone off in enough peoples tags like this, for those that dont know the canon dont be spouting the age discourse. You look stupid as hell. And for those that are gonna spout it, please dont cherry pick through the canon. Use both characters, use the other moon children, actually please do because I want more rosa content so bad, im down so bad :'(

Or just. Heres a thought. If someone has him as an adult or writes him in adult situations, maybe dont assume that they interpret him as a kid and call the writer a pedo? (Literally has happened to me, yall are fucking weird)

Yes i use more of the canon design and heavily use the canon story, i participated in arc 3 of the arg and it left deep grooves in my brain, i can never go back to fanon Ben. I say, as i put a more fanon appearance on my Ben 🤭

My Evie is full canon design, green hair, red eyes, creepy ass grin. I actually based it very heavily on my desktop wallpaper, which we actually figured out was a picture of @hauntedtotem (also amazing ben artist plz check them out) that they edited and posted. Sorry friend, it looked way too cool, ig youre in my fic canon now 🙇

And my Ben Lawman bleaches his hair and goes from the canon Ben to fanon Ben because of it. Hes got the pale pretty green eyes and glasses and hes a total nerd and i smooch him on the daily so he knows hes loved ♡

As for bens situation in the actual arg, yes i do think he was in the elegy statue, we actually do see him for the first time in the arg buried in the games code and trapped in that statue. I do think he was in there from the beginning, i personally think BEN was not limited to the models it could inhabit. Personally i would place it as skull kid and hms, but it also feels disingenuous to me to say it was in one model the whole first arc.

The arg events do happen in my canon, before my fic (like right before, it picks up after the arg left off technically), but the events are skewed a bit because i had a hard time deciphering what happened and i wanted my fic timeline to fit more with the characters i had made. Cuz my evie isnt as chaotic evil as canon BEN, its very logical and has a path of logic and reason you can follow for every action it does. It was also originally meant to be very pleasant and corteous and beneficial to the people it housed so, yes its pretty different from canon.

Ill do a quick run through of the arg events in my personal headcanon and fic here.

Kelbris starts coding BEN (Evie) for the Eternity Project. Initially, Evie was meant to be an afterlife director. People that died would be digitized into code that would be moved into Evie's servers, where it would keep them happy and occupied as the Behavioral Event Network (notice and log behavior, create events for residents). Like a community organizer kind of, think the Good Place.

While Evie is in development, Ben Rosa and Matt are friends and have yet to join the cult. Rosa and Matt are siblings, and Ben is the kid who lives catty corner on the street. They walk to school together and play at recess and all that jazz.

Kelbris quickly learns that the Eternity Project isn't as goody two-shoes as he thought. This was in like, the 90s, before digital corporations were really established. After seeing the greed and corruption in the company, he goes rogue, takes the source code for Evie, and jumps ship. He keeps working on Evie at home, anthropomorphizing it and kind of seeing it like the son he never had. This is where it actually gets the name BEN, as thats what Kel calls it. He also begins working on a body for it, so it can live independently. Its light, cuz Kels old, made of crystalline structures and hollow steel beams. A hard light projection would make its appearance.

Since Kel has basically locked himself up in his house and isolated working on Evie, he goes a leetle bit crazy. He has hallucinations of his deceased wife (you know he was doing all this just to give her a good home, you KNOW IT) and eventually starts writing kind of poetry, kind of none-minded rambles about her in a forum online. He gets a following, some of which that interpret these divine words as a goddess, one Kel has called Luna. The Moon Children start to form as Evie finishes development.

Matt sees this literature and starts talking about how this Goddess could save them like it saved the man online, whos username is only Father. He gets sucked into the cult and drags Ben and Rosa with him. Ben doesn't see the harm and joins pretty easily with his best friend, but Rosa is the older sibling and sees the red flags and is more resistant to joining.

As Kelbris finishes Evie, he wakes it up for the first time and says hello to the son he made from scratch. Evie is bright, curious and naive like a child, but heavily knowledgeable about its protocols and the information it knows about the world. Kelbris tests its function by killing himself, and ascends into the code, finishing off the hardware by becoming its firewall. Evie is alone for many years.

The abuse Ben's father slings onto his mother is slowly being directed towards him as he gets older. Ben is not the "good little girl" his father sees him as, and his mother does all she can to protect them both. Matt and Rosa constantly refuge him, and Matt specifically is constantly being a guard dog for him. If he wasn't just 13, he'd probably go at Ben's dad himself.

Because of his homelife and the conflict he has with himself, Ben takes the first ascension. He thinks when he drowns himself, he will meet Luna and she will give him another life free of pain and fear and full of happiness and freedom. Instead, he dies a cold, dark death, and wakes up in the white endless void of the Event Network.

Evie has not known another living human since Kelbris, but it does know its protocols to support and keep the deceased happy. It makes fast friends with Ben, devoting itself to him. Ben actually finally takes the name "Ben" from it. Together they recreate the inside of Evie's hivemind into their own paradise.

Slowly the other Moon Children ascend. First Matt, wracked with guilt for what happened to Ben. Then Nekko, from a different branch of the cult. These three figured out that the Moon Children cult was all a farce, and that what Kelbris had started, the Eternity Project had found and twisted. Next to ascend was Dusk, then Insidiae, and finally Rosa.

This all leads into the first arc, shortly after Rosa ascended, Evie in the outisde world stumbled upon the Operator. The Operator attacks it and seals its coding into the game that it carried, a personal item of Ben's. The game eventually finds it's way to a garage sale, and Alex picks it up.

Evie does not like Alex. Matt does not like Evie. Matt gets Evie to lash out at Alex for prodding into its code, its too naive to think that Matt would want to see it or any of them hurt. When Alex stumbles upon the Father, he awakens and swallows Alex down into the game. After his disappearance, the game gets picked up and passed around again.

Because of Alex's actions, at least Evie can now branch out a bit from the game. Though it doesnt "escape" into the internet, it learns that it can now access it and uses that freedom to try and steer the game around into places it wants.

Matt gets fed up with Evie. The fact that its the leader, how close it is with Ben, he just doesn't agree with it. So much so, in fact, that he tries to kill it. Cue arc 3 events, Sarah picks up the game in the aftermath of this. Evie is traumatized from the events and snaps a bit, locks everyone down into code or immovable models and tries to hunt Matt down. It goes rouge, and because of this, the Father wakes up.

Sarah's actions in arc 3 eventually hard reset the game. Matt gets sealed away, the Father also takes Sarah, and Evie gets reset as well, though its less like a clean slate and more like snapping back awake. Its personality changes and it has major trust issues. Its more muted, hyper observant of everything around it, and murderously overprotective of the Moon Children it keeps within itself.

And this leads into my fic 🤗

I have some doodles of my other Moon Children, but not all of them unfortunately. Cant figure out how tf i want Insidiae to look 🤭 Plz dont judge my constantly shifting art style 🙏🙏

formatting. the over-formatting of everything is killing me. i cant read most peoples carrds. i dont even know how they read it, because of how insanely tiny the text is. eye strain colors, hard to see icons, weird fonts... i dont mind a little bit of formatting, naturally, like go girl give us everything, but its getting to the point of being genuinely frustrating that almost every new blog i encounter has me fighting for my life just trying to learn the important info. i have visual and neurological issues please lord im only seven

MUSE PREFERENCES: seconding cam on if the "when someones pulled a muse apart like the spaghettification of a star and then put them back together". its fascinating. i think the fun part about rp is that i get just as invested in my partners character and what they get out of each thread as much as i do mine, so when people sit there and talk about their ideas and meta and really dig into that thing like . WHOOO NOW WE'RE COOKING

PLOTS OR MEMES : I like both! I think memes are good to kick things off regardless, and I dont mind building off of it. I like to plot a lot ooc but more in a loosey-goosey kind of way; i really like to get to know other muns and their characters and also talking is just sort of how i think through things so its very helpful to me. i also just get a lot of ideas because these things live rent free in my head but to me a natural progression is more important than like, sticking to a script.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : i write insanely long replies because i have things wrong with me. theres NEVER any pressure to length match-- a lot of the time im just doing it to establish exposition or setting so the other person finds it easier to work with. just give me something i can work with and we are a ok :D

BEST TIME TO WRITE : it really depends... i typically end up writing in the evening/afternoon because of my schedule. i think the biggest thing is that i work on weekends, so you may only hear from me ooc on those days. im also really trying to fix my sleep schedule.........to varying levels of success. sometimes the thread is too good

The noise from the water park was getting unbearable, even with the door to Owen's office closed. I dug my headphones out of my bag and plugged them in but even the music blasting from the laptop couldn't drown anything out. Groaning, I put my head on the desk. The little clock at the bottom of the exam kept ticking away, reminding me that I was taking an insane amount of time to complete it. There was a knock on the door before it opened. I pulled out my headphones as the person walked in.

"Whoa. Hey." Owen said. "No dying on the clock." I lifted my head and glared at him, propping my chin on the desk. "Oh. Its that bad then?" I nodded and he walked over to see the exam I was taking. "Yeah. No. Can't help with that. Like at all."

"That's ok." I said with a sigh, running my hands down my face. "Neither can I. I don't know what I need this for. It isn't even part of my actual degree or anything. I mean it is but not what I want to use the damn degree for." I leaned back in the chair and let it hit Owen in the stomach.

"Ow." he said, but not moving away. "How much more you have to go with this?"

"Like the exam or the class?" I asked, looking back at him. "Because both feel like forever."

"The exam." He said, leaning down as he righted the chair. Owen put his hand on the table next to the laptop and leaned closer. "Ok. Four more questions you can do this."

"No. I can't." I moaned, letting my head fall back against his arm that was braced against my chair. "It took me 40 minutes to get here! That's three questions Owen. Three fucking questions I'm not even sure are filled out correctly!" Owen put his hand on my shoulder and gently rubbed it.

"Have you talked to the teacher? Maybe get some extra help or something?" He said, eyes roaming over the computer screen still.

"Ha!" I laughed. Owen looked at me. "The teacher is shit. Talks at us instead of to us. Grades and corrects us but half the shit that we get wrong wasn't even fucking covered in the lessons. At all. And when she does answer our questions, it always goes back to check the lesson. Well I'm sorry but the crap you added to correct whatever it was I put down wasn't even there! Maybe don't dock points for shit you didn't even cover!" Owen squeezed my shoulder. "And then...and then...she expects you to remember all this crap so it isn't even written down anywhere except in the lessons cuz she's too lazy to compile it all and the students are too brain dead to do it themselves! So you have to spend twenty minutes to find the shit you need only to see it was the wrong shit to begin with!" I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. “I feel like I’m failing no matter what I do.”

“so why don’t you cheat?” Owen asked with a shrug. I gave him a look.

“I did. Copied and pasted from somewhere else. And she marked it wrong! Like she graded it to her standards and it was wrong!” Owen chuckled as he wrapped his arms around me. A kiss was pressed to my temple. “Owen I just can’t take this anymore. It’s driving me up a wall.”

“does how long you take on this matter?” He asked after a minute. I shook my head. “Come on. We’re going for a ride.” He pulled me up and started to drag me out of the office.

“Owen I’m not in the mood.” I groaned. He laughed and shook his head.

“not that kind of ride.” He said, smiling at me. “But I’m not opposed to one later.” I rolled my eyes. “No im talking about driving down the highway as fast as we can without getting caught. Top down. Radio blasting. Come on. You’ll love it.”

“alright. Alright.” I agreed as Owen grabbed his keys. “I do need to finish that exam eventually though.” Owen nodded before opening the car door for me. When he had gotten in, the car reved to life. He peeled out of the parking lot and headed out to the highway.

“so how much longer do you have this class?” He asked, glancing over at me. “Am I going to have to stay out of my office for months on end now?”

“no. Just today.” I sighed. “Just because of the exam. I didn’t have enough time to do that at home and it’s due by the end of the night. Thanks for that by the way. Not sure if I said it.” Owen nodded, reaching over to hold my hand.

“anytime. Just let me know when you need it.” He said, pulling my hand up to kiss it. “And I want you to know that anytime you need to vent again, well I’m here.” I nodded.

“thanks Owen.” I said softly. He nodded before gunning it down the highway, a smile on both our faces.

•I feel like, he will be the one who confess first. He knows the chance for you to actually return his feelings is low but deep down he lowkey is still hoping, And plus until when is he gonna keep it hidden? He's in third year already.

•People have told him that he shouldn't turn friendship into relationship because he might lose both, and that does bring his hope down because he doesn't want his feelings to be the cause of your friendship being destroy.

•But Daichi shut those goons up and told suga "I can't promise that they will return your feelings, but there's nothing wrong in trying, and im sure N/N wouldn't do that. So get your head out of your gutter!"

•He tends to joke around alot, and yet sometimes he seems serious. But you know what they said. "The one who smiles alot, have the most scars" [Listen ik he dont have depressing bg story or whtever but shut up ok? ]

•Sugawara keeps alot to himself. Though, do you ever wonder? Suga always seems to care for everyone, wanting what's best for them, helping them, and he always seems fine but.. Is he? He was there to ask "Are you okay..? Do you need anything" but who is the person who will comfort him? Someone who would return the favor.?

•The pressure as the vice captain, the matches, practices, and his feelings..

•As times goes by everything build up, Ever since they're first year, trying their hardest to build the school name again. To make the volleyball team shine once more. The pressure added up.

•He almost cry when you said you share the same feelings as him. Wait no- He is crying-

•During that moment he felt a little relief, as if some weight have been lifted up.

"I-Im sorry- I can't help my self" He stuttered through his words as more tears drip down his face.

•You pull him into a hug and try to comfort him as he slowly relax in your embrace-

"NICE SUGA-SANN!!"

"S-Shut up Noya! He will see us-"

•Looking at the bushes, you both saw the 3rd and second years. Tanaka is on the verge of tears and its not because he's happy for suga but-

"THIS IS NOT FAIR SUGA-SAN!!"

BRO ok i was reading your tags and you mentioned crimson not having a DT soul, but a soul of Obsession, and i just giggled a bit at that and got excited hehehe.

i like seeing people play with concepts but EXPAND them yk??? like not being bound to them but using them to make you think

i have an au i’ve yet to share about (because it’s. so convoluted at this point and is being rewritten HEIDBDJ) but a big part of it has to do with soul traits and such, at least in regards to the humans right

like for example, one of the human characters has the trait of justice, meanwhile one of the antagonists (with relations to some of the mains) is Retribution.

Retribution is like…a corrupt justice. when you decide YOU define what is just, and you take that into your own hands, it becomes more about vengeance then what is right.

sans has karmatic abilities as well, which is sort of an in between…. fair vengeance, the vengeance isn’t for HIM, he’s moreso a vessel for what is fairly brought upon someone??

ANYWAYS IM RAMBLING, both the justice soul (and kinda sans actually) have to grapple with their similarities with said antagonist. several characters have to grapple with the positive traits they have and the negative or toxic paths those same traits could lead them down. patience turning to passivity. bravery to recklessness and pride, etc

ALL THAT TO SAY i was curious, do you see “obsession” as an evolution/ sub category/ branch OF a determination soul? the determination to push on towards this thing you are fixated on to an inhuman extent? the refusal to let go of this thing you are fixated on (which i find a cool concept because, undertale a message has a LOT to do with letting go…)

as for obsession, yeah it's more like an evolution of determination.

I think there was a post about moral traits being used in excess can corrupt into harmful behavior...

ambition => obsession was one of the given examples.

but well crimson started with determination.

it's like muddied water. its been left to rot away.

but the water NEEDS to move or it will fade away so it spirals around it's contained pool into a whirlpool.

(idk if that allegory made sense but yea)

crimson NEEDS to constantly push themself. Ben if there's nothing to gain. even if their story has already been told.

you are correct! crimson's issues is mainly the lack of closure. the inability to let go.

they TRIED severing the bonds so dear to them by killing everyone but that only made them want to stay to suffer with them instead.

trivia:

obsession has a stronger density than a normal DT soul.

like it can take on 4-5 other human souls (not 6 tho. that's beyond them)

so you'd have to absorb not one not two but six or seven human souls to over power this bich's DT.

obsession also allows them to [refuse] death once, every 24 hours without a reset. even if you take away their reset they won't die that easily.

obsession has a higher LV cap than determination. it maxes out at 50 and can absorb [self inflicted pain] to boost the number up. if there's no one left to kill there's still ways to increase that LV. and their soul is one tank of an endurant killing mechine.

a direct jab at their soul won't kill them.

cutting their head off won't kill them (instantly at least. if they use a healing item in a minute or so their vessel would glitch back to a normal form.)

they're a lot like a zombie minus the infection part that can spread and the slowness and dullness of a shambling corpse. they're fucking FAST.

obsession can allow puppeteering powers and psychological manipulation through [ACT] but crimson doesn't use it. they think it's cowardly and they want to do things "legit".

if there WAS a new foe out there though... they have many abilities they don't use on dust to face them.

I hope this is ok and I’m not sure how to just like share it to your wall kind of thing tumbler is still kind of new to me. But the picture made me think of Curtis and Honey immediately and I hope it’s ok I shared it with you. Love there story and the playful Drabble you’ve done. I connected to that so much. My life if chaos at the moment and my bf has been a trouper and so supportive. It’s such a fine line between laughing at the bad stuff or crying and he’s held me when I cried and made sure I’m laughing too. Even if he’s a cheater and tickles..

Curtis x Honey Drabble

Your nose was stuck in a book, but not one of those fun ones you would become so invested in that Curtis often brought you tea and snacks after a few hours because you had forgotten.

This book was the newest teacher's handguide and it was reading as stiff as a stereo instruction manual. Already you had doodled along all the edges of the pages with random little pictures trying to keep yourself awake.

And the house was quiet, Curtis having left to help Grey and Edgar with a weekend project. So not even he could help distract you this time with it. So when you started humming along with the Halloween theme song, it clicked that the noise was coming from outside of the picture window. "What the hell?" You flung the book aside and got up from the couch to go peer outside.

Moving aside one of the gauzy curtains, you saw Curtis standing in the front yard, his black trench coat tails flipping in the bit of wind bustling the leaves around the yard among the Halloween decorations, above his head he was holding a cardboard sign reading "Horror Movies and Chill?" with a sketch of what looked like Micheal Myers peering around a bush. The music came from what looked like a dusty old tape player at his feet.

You waved quickly before bolting for the door and dancing out onto the porch. "Yes! Big giant YES!" You giggled as he let his arms drop the sign to tuck under his arm and reached to grab his boom box that was still doing the ominous theme song. "I can make us some snacks and pop some beers." You excitedly said while going down the stairs to meet him.

"No need Pretty Girl, already ordered us some takeout. You my Love just gotta get into comfier clothes than those. Although..." He leaned back a bit, smirking as his eyes fell down your teacher's outfit. "Keep on those stockings?"

"I will surprise you... Horror movies and just chill huh?" You tilted up to catch his mouth, sharing a kiss that you both grinned into.

"Cuddles too, all the cuddles Honey. Promise."

"Perfect, just what I was hoping for today, Curtis." You reached for the boom box's volume, turning it up when it switched to the Ghostbusters song, dancing away back up the stairs with a sway of your body, glancing at Curtis over your shoulder.

Curtis was right behind you, crowding you playfully through the door with a press of his body and the graze of his beard against your neck, making you tingle. Tonight was already so much better.

hey! its it ok if i just speak here a bit? feel free to delete if not

i’m a syskid but i feel like i don’t really relate to most things for littles, as i’m very independent and generally a bit older than most stuff is aimed at (i’m between 11-13). i have all of the body’s memories, even if i can’t think about certain things, so i can come off even older to outsiders combined with our autism and general not remembering being that age

our system struggled a lot with being taken seriously when we were my age, so i dont really front much or interact with little-focused spaces mainly because they feel demeaning to all of us. luckily irl i mainly just look like we’re being Extra Autistic. mainly i struggle with both wanting to be treated like the age i actually am while still being independent. i want to be able to do colouring pages and make potions and speak like i want to and still have people respect my ability to think for myself. looking at content aimed at a general little audience feels like all the worst parts of being a kid, and i know that most of it is made for younger kids by systems with littles, but it still annoys me that there isn’t really a “mainstream” tag or term for people like me that isn’t 90% sanrio aesthetic binkies and advice posts covered in clip-art which always have “get an adult to help” with basic tasks. I just want a well-known term that doesn’t make people immediately think im a toddler that needs hand-holding through everything, or that i’m faking because i sound “too old” to be a sys-kid.

at least i have my family and partner system, who are very good about supervising without telling me what to do, sorry if this made no sense

Hi, Mae! We have a syskid in our system who’s 11, and your experience really resonates with them! It was also really felt by our host, who is 14 (and cofronting right now). It’s true there aren’t many spaces for systeens, systweens, or middles that we know of, and that really is a tragedy. You mentioned you wish there was a well-known term for littles like you, and any of those words (systeens, systweens, or middles) may apply!

There really should be more representation for older syskids out there… If any of our followers run or maintain a space for systeens/systweens/middles on Tumblr, please feel free to reach out. We would love to put together a blog like this, but that may be a bit much for us to take on (what with our like 12 other sideblogs and all!).
