16. Since their friendship began, Ice has always told Maverick who to vote for, since Maverick doesn't care enough to pay attention to national politics. They are begrudging ConservaDems (conservative political views, would vote conservative every election if Republicans weren’t actively sending them to war/actively promoting fascism). Ice’s voting record (and after 1988, Mav’s too) 1980-2020—note that he has always considered himself an “educated moderate”: 1980: Reagan. 1984: Reagan. 1988: Bush. 1992: Bush. 1996: Clinton (reaction to aftermath of PGW. Doesn’t care that Clinton enacted DADT because “I’m not [redacted], so it doesn’t apply to me”). 2000: Gore (refusal to vote for another Bush). 2004: Kerry (Mav votes Bush this year out of spite as he and Ice are going through their break-up). 2008: McCain (Navy loyalty). 2012: Obama (liked him as a person/worked closely with him, didn’t like his policies so much). 2016: Clinton (no other alternative). 2020: Biden (actually liked/previously worked with Biden, and now actively married to another man and therefore had to make some liberal concessions). 2024-onwards they will vote for any Democrat as long as they aren’t a “socialist.”

37. This is not a headcanon, just kind of a… a real-life implication. My Ice was Deputy Commander of Third Fleet in 2003, meaning he’d have been there in command of the USS Abraham Lincoln when President Bush gave his “Mission Accomplished” speech aboard that ship in May less than 2 months after the initial American invasion of Iraq. Very premature & embarrassing. Ice would’ve been in direct contact with Bush/Cheney/NSC bureaucrats many, many times during the war. I genuinely believe this is what pushed him over the edge into firm liberal territory.

My immediate thought is like: oh childhood besties with Jonathan instead of the usual teacher-student relationship. I think it adds more drama, you know?
Imagine being so in love with this man for years, but he's blind. He marries Mira and to add salt to the wound you were his best man, or rather best woman. Holding in tears because you thought to yourself 'Surely, I'd move on.'
You two grow up, still closer and you watched him make a family of his own while you work a decent job and end up drinking at the end of the day. Partners come and go, but none of them made you feel the same way Jonathan did. And Jonathan barely did shit.
You knew it was wrong pining for a married man, but you hoped some day Jonathan sees that Mira treats him like shit. You didn't want to upset him since you're his best friend. The one person who knew everything about him even after setting boundaries since he got married.
Were you surprised when Jonathan calls you over and tells you Mira cheated on him? Of course not. You called up a babysitter for Ava and went to hit up a bar, drowning in his sadness.
"What does she have that keeps you... I don't know... loving her? What's so different that you keep crawling back to her."
He couldn't reply. Jonathan stared at you, remembering all the times you two talked— the ones where he's always ranting about his married life, the struggles and the stress. You always just sat there and listened to him. You never straight out voiced your opinion about Mira.
"What else do you think of her?"
"She's a bitch. I mean seriously, you two have a daughter and she pulls this shit. Anyone— and I mean everyone can treat you better than she does."
You always did speak the truth when you're drunk. So this was different.
"You packed her shit too. If I were you, I would've burned everything she owned. Did I ever tell you of the ex boyfriend I had? Changed his shampoo to hair remover."
"That's a bit extreme."
"Your face is a bit extreme."
You always knew just how to make him laugh, even with childish insults. No words were exchanged between the two of you, Jonathan stared at you, scanning your features. Something about you was different. Maybe it was the alcohol, but he's just barely tipsy.
Next thing he knew, he kissed you. He realized that he loved you more than a best friend normally did. He was in love.
Even if it took your whole lives, you thanked whoever the fuck made him realize he loved you (me).
In the middle of your kissing session, he pulls away only to take off his glasses, even touching the lenses despite wanting to keep it fingerprint-free.
His daughter's asleep, baby sitter's gone. You two stumbled into his house, lips locked. Jonathan wasted no time getting you into his bedroom (well, him and Mira's bedroom) and taking your clothes off.
Not only was this the perfect revenge, this was a perfect moment. Your wildest dreams finally coming true.
Jonathan fucks— no, he makes love. He's slow, making you feel good. He's definitely a giver. He peppers you non-stop with kisses. You leave scratches and marks on his body. The pleasure is too much. You were happy that night.
The next morning, breakfast in bed and a kiss on your forehead. Clearly, he didn't regret anything from last night. Jonathan really realized he loved you and you loved him.
Let's just say that you practically lived in his house at this point. Mira comes home to find Jonathan fucking you on the kitchen counter.
"You slut-!"
"You can't say shit, you cheated on him you fucking cunt!"
You successfully landed a harsh slap across Mira's face before getting pulled away by Jonathan. He carries you back into his bedroom and he cups your face with a smile.

Jonathan kicked Mira out, and you two spent the night making love to each other. Jonathan was right— everything Mira hated about him, you loved. You were absolutely better than her.
Their divorced finalized, and Jonathan got full custody of Ava. You moved in and brought life to their dull house.
For your birthday, he bought you a piano... an expensive one at that. He loved hearing you play.
He's the type to pick you small flowers every day and you have an album filled with pressed flowers. Before you go to work, he would slip a sticky note in your bag and you would find it while working and can't help but smile.
You make his lunches. He's always liked your cooking. You were definitely levels up from pathetic dinner tupperware spaghetti.
You even pack Ava's lunch for school, making notes like

Im taking this as a chance to finally ramble abt her anyways so Janet's core inspo when designing her was to avoid 2 key things. Don't make her like Immortal & Th Restless's Clara (due to clara representing michael, not mrs afton, so i wanted to avoid that), and don't base her too heavily off of Ballora. I still have ties to Ballora's character (a music-based theme, blue-centric colour palette, im sure there were more basic ideas but everything else is more hc than themes to keep up) due to my hc thingy of each Funtime having ties to William's wife + kids, but yknow.
But yeah. Funky lady who played bass guitar + did backup vocals in a band during her high school and college years. Minor notes that dont get their own paragraphs is that William sampled her voice for Ballora so yay easy voice claim, she had an on and off relationship with her band's lead singer (her name's Bev), her birth name is actually Janice Schmidt but if you call her Janice she'll knock at least 2 of ur teeth out, she's a runaway teen and got adopted by this older couple bc her home life kinda sucked (idk specifics yet), and also girlie has an extensive criminal record of minor angsty teen type charges. Also teen Mike dying his hair and then 2020's Michael's hairstyle are both kinda references to Janet's hair because he wnated to look less like his father. Thats all ty. Orion:
Orion is a cautious sort of person, he’s grown up in a harsh environment and he works a moderately dangerous job and it kinda bleeds over to his nomming tendencies. He’s the type of pred that will always check in on whoever he’s going to gulp down, triple checking if they seriously want to do this, being exceedingly gentle during the whole process to make sure they don’t get hurt.
His stomach is pretty soft on the inside, despite his outside being hard cold metal. It’s not really a stomach but more of a place to store extra parts or items of value. Usually, items are put inside through the sliding panels on his chest and it’s pretty secure. But he can also access it through his pharynx tube through his mouth.
He usually noms people through there because he’s worried that nomming them through his sliding panels might be more dangerous. His insides are pretty heated, since he needs the temperature to keep some of his functions running and it’s completely dry inside. It’d be a problem if any liquid were to get inside his storage hatch since it could potentially get into any other delicate inner workings of his.
he’s pretty aloof most of the time, but he’s fascinated by humans as a whole, since their species and their planet are so vastly different from his own. He doesn’t have a lot of info on them though since everything about humans is locked up tight by space government laws, but now that he has a living specimen to observe he’s been pretty curious about them. When he was younger he always dreamed of being a scientist to help better lives or some sort of job that specializes in humanitarian (but like, the robot version of humanitarian) sort of aspects. Obviously he didn’t get to fulfill that dream seeing how he’s working as a smuggler.
he also likes to nom people through his mouth bc he feels like he can get a better feel for them or to just make sure they make the trip down safely. He doesn’t do it often despite the fact that it feels nice for him, but if anyone asks, he’ll oblige willingly.
Jane:
she’s thinks its a weird alien custom. It makes sense that Orion’s biology is way different from anything on Earth, but dear lord, it still freaks her out a bit. She puts some trust in Orion (grudgingly) since he’s the only ally she currently has on her side. Also he’s figured out that she’s not some animal and has been attempting to communicate with her with mixed results. It had been rough in the beginning but at least they’re making some progress.
Jane doesn’t trust him entirely though, and she’s fully ready to ditch him as soon as she thinks he’ll turn on her and give her up for some soulless cash. Sure, they’ve managed to have some very basic and stunted conversations with the limited vocabulary theyre working with, but she has one goal and that’s to get back home.
while she wants to be able to let her walls down around someone, anyone really, she just can’t bring herself to be truly vulnerable. For her, it’s easier to just not care anymore so it hurts less when they either turn on her, leave her, or just decide to kill her.
secretly, she likes being nommed because it reminds her of a hug. Being surrounded by hostile aliens who could crush her underfoot doesn’t leave her with many opportunities to get a hug from someone. She’s awfully homesick and just wants to get back to earth. Although she’s mostly alone and drifting through the foster system, she craves being able to simply connect with another person without hand symbols and confusing language exchanges.
She’s found that Orion seemingly doesn’t mind tucking her away in his storage either so occasionally when her homesickness gets to be too much, she’ll ask him to nom her. however, she considers that as her “breaking” or giving up on her vow to stay distant and usually after becomes warier to Orion, frustrated at herself for giving in to the temptation of comfort and the promise of safety.
While Orion doesn’t really understand why Jane always withdraws from him after he thinks they’ve made some emotional connections, he still tries to help or nudge her back into her usual habits. He doesn’t like to admit it but he’s grown attached and worries about her feelings and safety.

I only have like 3 mutuals that like jojo but i want to talk about my jojo headcanons here, is more vento aureo than any other part even if stone ocean is my favorite I had more time to think about hcs for vento aureo I'm sorry so 😔
Okay, first I will do a list of my fav ships expect only rareships
Bruabba. I was obsessed with bruabba in 2018 and it was one of the first ships that made me feel so many emotions. They were my main otp till around 2020 and I still love them dearly just the hype is very asleep.
Prosciutto and Illuso. Don't ask me why because I don't even know from where I started liking it but the dynamic i have for them in my head is very interesting; very like flirtatious and aggressive at the same time lmao I love it. I remember my boyfriend of that time and I were very into them and it was fun talking about their ship with him. But I still live for this ship because they have so many potential i will definitely at some point do a drawing of them.
Narancia and Trish. This one crush my heart just thinking about it and im sobbing right now, i know their main interactions in the manga/anime are platonic but they have a very special place in my heart and i think im going to cry whenever i think of them together. I just remember the scene with the grateful dead and how Trish was so gentle and attentive with Narancia, i'm going to cry again, you get the idea.
Melone and Tiziano. Look, don't get me wrong I love Tiziano and Squalo together so much you don't have an idea. But these two get crazy together, I can't see them romantically more than very not so casual sexual partners I hope you get the idea because I really like it.
Trish and Pesci. Now, I'm not sure if Araki ever gave Pesci a canon age but in my eyes he's the youngest of all la squadra approximately just like three years older than Trish and I know they wanted to kidnap or kill her, I don't remember, but if that was not the case I think they could be a really cute couple. I just think their personality would really match.
Mista and Formaggio. This is more like indulgence because they're my favorite from their respectives groups so yeah I make a party whenever I found a single fanart with them together lmao, but seriously I think they would be the most insufferable and annoying couple/pos and I love that for them, they have fun with pretty much everything, lol.
Bruno and Ghiaccio. All of this liking started because a friend of mine proposed to me to roleplay and we choose them as the main ship and it was very fun and interesting, it grow the appreciation for the ship in me even if Ghiaccio is not really of my interest i like it more because of this role and ship.
Sorbet and Gelato. I need to say more? I think everyone likes them at some extent.

Now I seriously don't think they teamed up JUST to kill their gfs like some ppl that ship Stuilly hc. Stu was gonna kill regardless, he's just that nuts and Billy had a motive. And they're both misogynist that are attractive themselves. To Stu, Tatum was a dime a dozen. He probably cheated on her with other girls and Billy anyways, let's just be realistic here.
And Billy feels like he could care less about girls. He's attractive and girls just come to him and he uses them for release and goes. I highly doubt he was in love with Sam's Mom and her Mom was just a young naive girl in a one sided relationship with him. (But you never know! We'll never know anyways) He was so focused on his plan to even really care about all that and I think in his own fucked up way he did love Sidney but the hate outweighed the love he had for her in the beginning of their relationship. After killing her mom, the bitterness grew to the point he wanted her dead. My hc at least. (Idk how else to explain his mentality like boy ur not making sense)
And I don't think Billy and Stu loved each other in the traditional sense of the word. I ship Stuilly but it's just as fucked up as they are. I think Stu worshipped Billy to an extent bc Billy was the one that fulfilled his fantasies. Billy honestly used Stu imo. He purposely was going to use him as a scape goat if Neil failed. But I also think Billy probably did secretly like Stu as a friend and something more like love but just couldn't admit it, not even to himself.
Like I said. Fucked up. I don't think they were lovers in the secretly in love way as much as they both used and experimented with one another and it was slowly turning to the closest thing to caring either one could feel but the murder outweighed that. That's just my hc tho.
This is one of those cases it rlly is up to fan theory bc were they horny teen boys that were experiencing attraction to girls AND each other? OR were they trying so hard to prove to themselves they weren't gay? I accept anyones hc on that bc we really will never fully know.

he is ecstatic to be working after-hours, he recently posted a photo of you 2 together smiling and captioned it "After Hours of Production" and is loving all of thr compliments flowing in, its his ego thats just being fed more and more
he prefers to stay on set rather than go somewhere else just so he can embody his emotions fully, and feel like hes in his best character so he can nail this with you
hes also a bit nervous—but hides it well— that hes gonna mess up infront of you, or do something so that youd see him as 'lesser' of an actor that he thinks he is, his self image needs you to think hes this successful guy
he didnt fully process he had feeling for you because he almost qualifies as a workaholic, but he loves his job and the fame it brings him. it took really working with you throughout every scene and spending more time with you, eventually calling you out on little lunch dates, or 'colleague bonding time' as he calls it ( yet the only colleague he spends time with is you strangely )
the scene you two are going over is a slower, heartfelt scene, where the two main characters begin to confess their love for eachother after Georges character had ditched town, the denouement of the movie
your feeling a bit nervous, and it seems that the room grows smaller each step you take towards George, seeing him sprawled out on the directors chair, giggling at his phone, till he finally notices you and takes a hint
"It's great, it's seriously.. they love us! Have you seen the post yet? Even my critics are excited for us!"
he's over the moon about it, almost forgetting what hes here to practice
however, in his head its a bit different. hes a rather calm man, always being on the more nonchalant side, and typically someone who doesnt struggle with having to flirt or joke around, so he tries to keep this guard up, yet the way youre pulling him up by his shoulder to make sure he moves has him questioning if he can really do this
"Alright alrightt, patience. Let me get my script and I'll meet you on set."
realization has yet to hit him that its just you and him, but somewhere inside him hes a little less confident that it'll be stunning, or excellent, hes more worried that the scene will have you leaving before he got to spend enough time with you
youre standing there, the lights dimmer than usual because you know thats how he prefers it, sitting on the makeshift ledge that the scene is set on
he does a little jog over, apologizing casually then sighing as he sits down, getting comfortable and noticeably closer to you, till his hand is set next to yours
hes definitely the type of person to pop a mint, or gum before acting tbh
you begin the scene, the you are an eager, but secluded lover, who's feelings are diminished by his town's perspective on love
george is a confident and devoted man whose methods of courting you have been pushed away until this confrontation
its dramatic and has close tension, but georges atmosphere closes everything around you but him, and he begins with his lines
your eyes are attracted to his as he begins, a passionate actor whose hands are now on yours, holding them and caressing your right hand with his thumb
the room feels like its changed, and your face is getting hotter, slowly moving yourself closer to him, yet hesitant to see how it goes
"I dream of the nights where you're by my side, in my bed, and not a passing vision after a nightmare. Just join me."
his voice hitches at the last sentence, the tone changing to something more demanding, and foolishly enough it feels like hes talking to you, man to man
the farther you two get, the more the rehearsal goes slightly off track, a misplaced hand or a smile that seems so genuine
"Take my hand as you'll take my heart, its no longer mine solely."
theres a silence between the two of you, and in that moment he slowly smiles at you before taking your hand and kissing it, trying not to exit character completely, his aura is carefree as he speaks
"Christs sake just let me kiss you already, your eyes haven't looked away from mine yet."
hes straightforward and honest, taking the hint after you laugh to pull you in by the lower back and admire you from a closer view
he respects you but he can only play along for so long until he breaks, his confidence tells him it'll be fine so he acts on his thoughts casually alot🫶🫶

ngl. can I like, throw out some ric and cherry (and garth sorta) villain/antagonist arc hcs or something
I’m gonna assume they were in the same bunch of students at howlington when they were 14. but ric wasn’t initially friends with cherry and garth (cause let’s be real, those 2 have been besties since then), but eventually became friends with them. I’m gonna contrast him to freddy for a sec and say he was kinda bullied, but unlike freddy, he ended up taking the wrong path in life and glorified the destructive and absurd behaviors of the wilder wolves in secret, and to cherry and garth he did give sorta weirdo vibes, being sorta reckless (even more so than garth but actually intentionally and not accidentally lol), but he never explicitly seemed like a bad guy, so they did become friends. I wanna say after howlington was wrapping up for them and they had just graduated into the night patrol is when ric sought out real wilder wolves for whatever weird reason, but was never taken seriously by them either. now the part that really set him off into deciding to be evil im not all that sure of, but maybe I’ll just say that he was just pissed off and frustrated that not only his own pack thought he was too reckless but his ‘icons’ (for lack of better words) simultaneously thought he was too tame/not really wild and had no good use, and it tore him. idk I’m really working with crumbs here. but basically he decided to form his own wild pack out of spite, while still maintaining an image as part of the pack to infiltrate and catch off guard. eventually just deciding ‘yeah fuck this I’m officially against y’all’. admittedly I sorta lost what I had going for this idea but really I cant come up with very good ideas I fear. but i wanted to make his arc kinda ironic in the end, cause his mind was so clouded with arrogance and frustration that he forgot that despite all he had planned to be evil, right in front of him (or his facade really, but still, it’s still /him/, like /his/ personality nonetheless, just masking his villainess) he still found people who respected him, like his new night patrol crew, flashheart, cherry and garth, his students who looked up to him sm. he could’ve changed for his own sake and the sake of others, like cherry, but kept falling into his anger and let himself grow more power hungry, leading him to his death, contrary to freddy, who held his father’s, mutton’s, and batty’s (his closest family) words close to his heart the whole rest of his life to guide him down the right path and find his place that made him happy, and look where that lead him.
as for cherry i genuinely have no idea what to do for her. like she has 0 character depth I have to work with so I’m just gonna make up some shit. maybe she doesn’t feel strong enough, or smart enough, or like she’s pressured so much it makes her wanna go ape shit a little, who knows, just /something/ that could give her a reason to turn against the protags. now, this might be a wee bit random, but ngl, it would’ve been so cool of 100% wolf if they made cherry’s character a message on untreated mental illness. cause they could’ve totally hinted more towards her having some sort of mental issue and have her fall down an awful path due insecurity and anxiety n such. fucking hell, going back to the first 3 suggestions, it could literally be lead from any of those and still be some sort of reference to that. it can deliver the idea that nobody struggling deserves to go unseen when they’re at their lows, and that doing nothing will only make things darker. your friends are here to listen to you, to pull you up, and be there for you, only if you let them, and allow yourself to support yourself moving forward as you heal, and you will feel better, you’ll grow a different view on life. again, it’s literally another reference to the whole franchise’s theme, only slightly more unique. leaving us with "I wanted to be wild, but turns out I’m not" isn’t how you write something that’s clearly supposed to be compelling and interesting. give us some feelings within her, some internal conflict, something we can relate to that isn’t so nonexistent and bland. idc if the mental illness idea I had even makes sense, I literally just want some cherry development cause there’s no way they really left us with that little info 😭

goddammit now im mad over the emduo qpr discourse again. everyone owes me so much fucking money for that shit. i know i wasnt the best at wording but genuinely just fucking amazing how me going "hey i want qprs to be seen as their own form of relationship that isnt just headcanons and is its own form of shipping also i think people are weird about how they depict qprs by only ever depicting a romantic relationship but saying /p or by saying shit like 'qpps are platonic soulmates' and not going into how they can often be intimate relationships that isnt always as simple as best friends who get married also its kind of fucking weird that in its own way it contributes to pushing aside a woman whose an important figure to focus on two men and with how ppl treat that woman even outside of this its concerning me" got turned into uh.
the idea that i (an aro person) am arophobic and also against polyam people (even though i wasnt talking about polyam hcs) and also was calling people racist and fatphobic and misogynistic (people are already weird about kristins weight and i felt uncomfortable that her relationship with phil ic was being pushed away when its. canon. i know people dont think she is but she is canon shes the supposed reason a forest grew by the commune and she possessed phil once shes canon to the smp imagine if ppl said drista wasnt canon or something. and some of my discomfort came from the fact that shes a fat woc) and also was "playing the victim" and pulling "the minor card" (i was being harassed and expressed multiple times that the discourse was setting off my paranoia and making me spiral every time i got better and it was upsetting that it was mainly people in their 20s doing this to me, a 16yr old at the time)
and also i guess the idea that I thought qprs were nothing other than best friends?? (that was the entire thing i was arguing against . i wanted qprs to be treated as separate from strictly platonic and strictly romantic relationships. because they are by definition . i wanted them to be treated seriously and for people to stop calling them headcanons because it felt like it was delegitimizing that qprs are a unique kind of relationship and one thats often intimate and heavily committed)
like. auugh. sure if i could go back i would fix some of my wording but i was (and still am) a Teenager . who was uncomfortable and got pushed into spiralling to a point where i couldnt properly escape it (i was condescendedly told to go touch grass but i . Was going outside. consistently. it helped for a short while only for the drama to be shoved in my face all over again which kept setting me off and i couldnt manage to switch out + it was summer during a pandemic like. what else could i do but be online) and like. now i still have lingering trauma and for a good while it ruined techno and phil related content for me. i was terrified of that side of the fandom, only recently have i really been able to shake that off. its scary to know theres still people who think im arophobic or believe all the shit people said about me. when one of my friends tried to defend me one of the main people talking shit found their post and went on to publically talk shit about me to them and it made me. so fucking paranoid that they were tracking my name or some shit
and idk. knowing that for so many people it was just a blip of discourse to meme about and pass on is. a weird experience. that month was horrible for me. it led to me getting nauseous about even romantic shipping in the community (even now i can only really deal with strictly canon dsmp romance) and with how many issues i already had with romance repulsion and figuring out more and more about how alienated i felt from fandom spaces because of my aromanticism it was. i dont know. i still taste bile in my throat every time i think about it.

a/n: inspired by @aparttimewriter ‘s story A Hollywood Dream on ao3 <3 this is hal hc half drabble idk just bundle of thoughts about bammy

Bam was a good friend, very present and attentive. the kind that always remembers to call and invite you to everything he’s doing.
for you, that meant the world, knowing you’re wanted around. so it wasn’t hard to see why you stuck with him, Ryan and Raab. you felt like you really belonged.
that being said, you were definitely closer to Bam than the rest. sure, you’d call him your best friend. he wouldn’t really call you his but it’s okay, he was surrounded by people who liked him, there wasn’t really a spotlight on you or anything
everyone thought you were more than close friends, of course. they’d call you ‘love birds’ and ‘pining idiots in denial’ (that last one was mostly Johnny)
to be fair, there was a lot of touching. he would constantly help you with skateboard tricks, hands holding your waist and helping you up whenever you fell, both of you laughing at how dumb you looked with your hair all over the place.
one time he predicted some other dude was gonna crash right into you so he sprinted and picked you up from the skateboard, letting its wheels roll away from under your now dangling feet. you felt like a rag doll, bam holding you flush to him, your ass kind of too close to his groin. “you could’ve just yelled.” “i’m going to” the dude who nearly hit you heard some choice words from a very pissed Bam Margera. luckily he was a fan and came over to apologize to you, a request from Bam. there was a lot of blushing from both of you after the young kid left
there was only ever one kiss. it was a dare, freshman year. you were out of “truths” and the redhead girl hosting the house party had an instigating look in her eyes, not cracking a smile at all when she said you had to kiss Bam. he was standing far enough that he didn’t hear the laughter and commotion, talking to a group of guys he barely knew. it’s not like it was your first kiss, so at the time it felt like no hassle.
you remember getting up confidently and giggling, enjoying fucking with your friend who loved pranks. when you get to him, pulling on his shoulder to grab his attention, you squint your eyes and say, “hey Bam, there’s something on your face.” “what?” “me.” the girl didn’t specify what kind of kiss, so you just peck him, hand holding his chin and squeezing before you leave. Raab really liked that one, laughing until he was on the floor. Bam didn’t say anything, flustered. it was cute. later that year, him and the redhead dated for a while.
ages ago, when CKY was still a fresh project, Ryan asked why he didn’t make any moves on you. “i mean, you’re not just friends, it’s obvious.” “we are, really, there’s like nothing there, i don’t know” “so you don’t mind if i ask her out then?”
Bam gives a very convoluted explanation as to why that’d be destructive and borderline toxic for your friendship. “ok, can i just have sex with her?” “no, you can’t have sex with her, man.”
on your side, things changed after your first boyfriend dumped you for another girl. feeling insecure, it was Bam who cheered you up. “you are easily the most attractive person i know. he made a dumb-fuck choice. you’re also funny and smart, so dude, seriously, not dating that dunce is the best for you, his loss only.” talking inside of a bar bathroom while he wipes away persistent tears off your face. for a moment, you wished he’d keep touching you forever, comforting. “and i say that in the most friend way possible, so you know im not being biased because of any stupid romantic feelings.” oh, right. of course.
after that night, you start pining for your friend who clearly didn’t want you. stuck on the what-ifs, there’s no turning back now, your heart’s pretty set. you’re not gonna do anything about it obviously but you are gonna suffer through these feelings like it’s a bad habit you can’t let go of.
as the first Jackass movie came out, the boys had all become pretty popular, and you felt like you were losing your best friend to all these cool Hollywood people and hot girls. not one to impose, you don’t mention it to him.
you’d never say no to a Steve-o party, scared that if you did they’d stop inviting you. it was more common now that your dark haired friend mingled between various groups and barely said a word to you, meaning you clinged to Ryan and Johnny for company
“you look like a sad puppy, missing Bam?” “so much for having a long time best friend huh?“ “is that all he is to you?” Johnny notices your confused complexion and clicks his tongue, swirling the bourbon in his glass. “c’mon kid, nothing wrong with a guy and girl friendship but that’s not what’s going on between the two of you. you’re basically aching for each other like in some Carrie Underwood song.” “where did you get that idea from?“ “havin’ eyes.”
not long after, you’re pouting by Knoxville’s side on a gross brown couch, pulling the loose threads and feeling sorry for yourself when Bam pops up in front of you, out of breath. “i need to kiss you.” the southern man next to you is paying close attention. “what?” “there’s a challenge going around of who can kiss the prettiest girl and i picked you. c’mon.”
there’s no reaction from you so Bam pulls you up and along the hallways by the hand. you look back to Johnny for help but he simply smiles, wide and teasing, lifting his beer towards you.
snapping back into reality, you pull on Bam’s hand and he stops, looking at you confused. “i dont wanna do this.” there’s a pained look in your face that draws in alarmed concerned blue eyes
“why not?” his chest is burning, rejection never easy for him. “it’s just an innocent kiss.” the look on your face means he said something outrageous but he’s pretty clueless as to what exactly. “friends kiss each other all the time, right? it’s fine.”
“no, it’s not fine, Bam” you sigh and he prods. “i thought you wouldn’t mind. i mean, Johnny told me you said i had nice lips, who says that about a kiss they wouldn’t repeat?” a furious blush is spreading on your face right now, for sure. why was there always someone instigating things between you two.
“i think... i might like you." feeling terribly embarrassed and tired, you hope the confession is enough to make your friend so uncomfortable he drops it and lets you go home. “and i’m sorry, it’s dumb, i’m probably just mixing things up or getting off on the idea that it would never happen because you don’t feel the same way and you know how i-“
there was an exasperated look in Bam’s face you didn’t get to see because he cut off your rambling by grabbing both sides of your face and kissing you hard. it was a slow and sensual kiss, like he had been waiting for this for a long time. a bit dramatic for a challenge, you think
when you separate, chests heaving, he doesn’t let you go, facial expression more relaxed even as he struggles to breathe. “how do you know if you won?” your mind is still stuck on the game. determined blue eyes cast down to your lips as he says, “i don’t care, shut up” and kisses you again
in the background, Johnny and Ryan watched amusedly. Steve-o asks, “how does he know if he won, actually?” to which Johnny replies “he got the girl, which is a lot better than a measly kiss, none of us are beating that tonight.”

- You've always been a dreamer, one that dreams big
- But to move on up the list of goals you have to achieve, you have two hinderances
- First you need to graduate high school which you have another year and a few months until you can accomplish
- And the second is moving out of Woodsboro
- For that second one, you'll have a bit more trouble
- Your parents don't want you to move away and instead want you to find yourself a job after high school and stick around until further notice
- To that you say 'Hell the fuck no'
- So, knowing you won't have any financial support from them on your moving quest, you were determined to find yourself a job
- To say you've flipped the town upside down looking for even the lowest paying position would be an understatement
- You were prepared to work two jobs if that's what it took to save more money
- And that's what happened eventually, you found a waitressing job in a restaurant where you’d only cover the night shift
- But you need more than the weak money they offered to pay you so you also tried out for any type of position at the video store you and your friends frequented
- The owner didn't want to have to pay another worker, of course, claiming the place didn't need another pair of hands
- "Oh come one, sir, the place is filthy! And super freaking unorganized! I'm sorry to say but whatever workers you already have are slacking." You negotiated with the man who just rolled his eyes in response
- "We're not slacking!" Another voice complained, alerting you and the owner to look to the shelves where a worker was returning videos that had been previously rented
- "It's too much work for one person per shift, not our fault." He explains, turning his attention back to his task as the owner groans in frustration
- "Sounds to me like you're looking for a new job, Meeks. Don't make me kick your sorry ass out the door." The older man warned the boy before turning back to you and motioning for you to follow him out of earshot of his employee
- "You have a point, the place needs....some help. Would you be alright to work between the shifts? Like, help with the latter half of the first shift and the first half of the second shift. That's when all the bustle goes on."
- You were more than alright with it
- The first week of working there, Karen, a girl that didn't seem to be a fan of yours, worked the morning shift while that worker that you saw worked the evening shift
- You didn't want to jinx it but even you admitted that it was easy money for even easier work
- You almost felt like you didn't deserve to earn the money because the majority of the time, especially after the second shift started, you were just sitting around along with the boy you found out is named Randy
- "Isn't it about time you leave? I mean, don't take this like me chasing you out, just...thought you might've forgotten...." He spoke up after maybe twenty minutes of silence in the store
- "I could leave but....I really don't feel like going home, you know. I'll stick around for a bit longer..." You answered, only then having realized how much you dreaded going home
- Your parents wouldn't get off your case for finding jobs while still in school and would do everything to guilt trip you into dropping the idea of moving
- And you seriously weren't having it
- "Am I that great company?" He asked jokingly, causing you to snicker from across the store where you were sitting atop a lower shelf
- "You'd be surprised, but you aren't the worst I've ever had." You told him, making him flash you a charming smile
- Ok, maybe 'charming' is a bit much, 'goofy' fits it better
- “Then we might as well get to know each other better, huh?” He offered and you found yourself agreeing before you could even think twice about it
- By the time closing hours rolled around you two found yourselves sitting on the same shelf, chatting about literally everything and nothing simultaneously
- You sweeped the floors, locked up and aid your goodbyes but before you could walk over to where your bike was parked, Randy called out to you
- “Yeah?”
- “Wanna...um, go somewhere? You know, to continue our conversation?” He asked hesitantly
- Bless the darkness around you, that’s the only thing that shielded your blush from his gaze
- “I’d love to, Randy, but I have my second job waiting for me.” You felt genuinely upset that you weren’t able to accept his invitation but one reminder of your dreams and you picked your mood back up and rode away on your bike
- Unfortunately, that reminder wasn’t enough to push Randy Meeks out of your head for the rest of the night
- The following day at the video store was much like the previous:
- Creepy Karen avoiding talking to you
- Chatting with Stu and Billy who stopped by
- Greeting Randy when he came in to take over the second shift
- You’d be lying if you said you weren’t excited to see him again
- Little did you know, the feeling was mutual
- “You plan on sticking around till closing again?” He asked you through a whisper as you were walking past each other between two shelves at the back of the store
- The skin on your neck prickled with goosebumps at the sound of his voice and the feeling of his breath that close to your ear but you still found it in you to nod without even previously considering whether you would actually stick around till closing hours
- You wouldn’t have said no regardless
- “Good.” He said, once again in a whisper, before giving you a smile and walking off, leaving you there a blushing mess
- You would’ve squealed too if only there weren’t costumers around
- The reason he was so curious as to your arrangement of time was revealed shortly after the so called ‘dead’ period took over
- Basically the time of day with practically zero people coming in, leaving just the two of you in the store
- You had just finished putting away some science fiction videos before walking to the back where, to your immeasurable surprise, you found Randy setting up some food on a lower shelf, a candle lit between the two plastic plates
- “You have a date coming?” You asked, leaning against one of the shelves, biting your lip at the glow of the candle reflecting in his eyes
- He chuckled, his smile shimmering, making him look so playful and boyish, it was adorable
- “They’re already here.” He replied, his gaze sizing you up in a way that filled your stomach with butterflies, “Rain check for yesterday.”
- You couldn’t help but blush once again, “Must say, I didn’t peg you for a romantic, Meeks. With all that horror movie talk, never once did I think you were into lovey-dovey shenanigans like this.”
- “Well, Y/N, as you’ll come to find out, I’m full of surprises.”
- He kept that promise, that’s for sure.
- The two of you have been dating since that night and he’s stayed true to his words, always finding new ways to surprise you with different aspects of himself
- For example, it’s surprised you how much Randy is into PDA
- He doesn’t care whether there are two or twenty two costumers in the store, if he wants to he will kiss you
- First it started off shy and innocent and out of view of other people but neither of you has any fucks to give left over
- Half a year ago you quit your job at the restaurant, freeing up more time to spend with your boyfriend
- Even when you aren’t on shift, you’ll drop by to consult him on a movie, flirting back and forth as if you’re strangers and as if you’re definitely not gonna watch the movie together later that same evening
- He doesn’t exactly give off that kind of vibe but trust me, if you catch Randy at the right time and in the right mood, he can’t keep his hands off you
- Nor his lips off yours
- Your friends have busted you countless times, always breaking up your make-out session with a loud ‘The owner’s here!’ warning
- But that trick got old already so now they’ve turned more to the likes of an air horn

- What they never see is how, when you two aren’t getting busy, you have deep conversations
- Some shallow ones too, but that’s not the point
- You’ve never been able to talk to someone so much and still like it before
- You might be biased and you may or may not space out mid-convo sometimes just to admire your boyfriend’s facial features, but that’s besides the point
- What matters is how much your life has changed as a result of Randy’s presence in it
- Since his entry a year and a half ago, you’ve made modifications for your plans after high school, making sure they involve your boyfriend
- You’ve never been happier but that’s what you say tell yourself every day, so basically, every day just keeps getting better

✦➤ Being perfectly honest, Keito didn't like you at first- at all. To him, you seemed to be challenging the student council's authority- though, really, his authority. You had "nothing to back up your attitude with", he'd say. He took his position as the Student Council's Vice President very seriously, and he was going to protect it- not that he felt his power truly threatened by such a person, but the fact that he let you have such an attitude reflected on the image he wanted to project. Thus, he rarely ever tolerated you, and he often spent time making sure you weren't doing something "out of line for someone of your position".
✦➤ You, or anyone else, actually, would've thought that he might've sent someone else to change your attitude, given that he was so busy and absorbed in his own goals. Perhaps it was that he somewhat took an interest in you, according to Kuro, since he constantly came over simply to nag about this or that you had done earlier- and then left, somewhat flustered. Only those who really knew Keito would understand that the way you acted made no sense to him, the longer you stuck around. The more he realized how bubbly and scatterbrained you were, the more he confused himself. He had often thought of you as rude, but he could not longer blame you for that; instead, he saw someone else, someone adorable- he wouldn't have ever called you that before, not in anyone's dreams. The more he met you, the more he was confused- one of the causes of his constant flusteredness around you.
✦➤ If you ever met when he was especially stressed, it would be a whole new side to him. He would never show it in front of anyone else, though if it was after school hours, and everyone was attending unit practices or had gone back to the dorms, there was a slight chance you could catch him with an expression he'd rather not show. He would be a whole new kind of flustered, as his confusion and flusteredness coupled with the stress of his work caused a strange kind of emotion that took away the usual level-headedness he maintained throughout the other hours of the day. Your bubbly disposition somehow made his headache better, but the confusion worse. It didn't hurt as much anymore, but thoughts of you replaced the thoughts that were supposed to be reserved for getting the work done.
✦➤ In any case, if and after you started dating, you'd be the one to hear his problems. He'd still nag, possibly even more than before, but he'll be softer to you. Your bubbly attitude, which he loves to see, would be forever healing to him. His work and all-too-many commitments take too much of a toll on him, and he often is engulfed by them; he is eternally grateful for the peace you give his mind. He also loves your curiosity; it's something he doesn't really have anymore, as he's too tired these days to actually look into the things he'd like to. He often spends his energy searching up things he needs rather than things he just wants to know just to know it, so it's refreshing for him to see that he's at least satisfying your curiosity when he's able to. He's never been happier~
