Sakuna Ryomen X Reader

Warning- violence, forced marriage, the works, bad grammar/spelling probably??

This is the series Im rewriting

It was something of a sick joke that brought you together. A forced marriage for some sacrifical reason that will save the village... blah blah blah. You didnt listen to any of the reasons the elders of the village spewed out at you. You sat on the wooden floor staring at them, your father silently weeped in the background, the only family you had.

"We will bring you to his temple and after that you are forbidden to come back. If you try to escape him, hell will rage down on our people, YOUR people" the old man said "remember that"

You were scared, tremmbling internally but you kept your head held high, if it wasnt for your sake then your fathers. He had begged and pleeded with the elder but they shooed him away until finally you dropped your hand on his shoulder and smiled. "It will be okay" you whispered and his eyes hardened.

As you took a carriage to the mountain top you still saw the look in his eyes. The gazes diamond quality cutting into you easily. Alone in the carriage you allowed yourself to be scared, sobbing neatly to yourself fighting the urge to jump out of the moving carriage and be with your father again. Even if it was just for a moment, a quick hug before they executed you, a traitor to the village.

As the carrage tremmbled to a hault you quickly composed yourself. You had heard of Ryomen Sakuna, heard of what he had done to his other girls, his other wives in the temple ontop of the mountain. The doors swung open and you were ushered out by a boy from your village. It seemed as soon as your feet touched the ground they were flying back down the mountain. Repelled by the stench of the place. You were left in the dark the lowly lit temple stalked behind you.

The air around you was heavy and dark. Though there was no one around you- you felt a presence seething and evil enfolding you, haunting you, like a ghost in your bedroom. You heart lurched up in your throat and you bowed your head trying to contain your tremmbling.

"Who are you?" A dark voice boomed behind you. It made you jolt and screech, it was inhuman for a moment until you saw its owner. Flaming pink hair and a stance so unnaturally powerful your voice stuttered... for a second at least. " My name is y/n from the Gojo clan down below the mountain." You said confidently. Sakuna eyed you, lapping his fox eyes up and down your body. He stepped down the wooden stairs, a smug look on his face. "That dosent explain why you are here" You tremmbled as he closed the distance between the two of you, his aura was uncomfortable like panting hot breathe. It suffocated you.

He was standing in front of you now, hoovering over you. He hooked a sharp fingernail underneath your chin and brought your eyes to his. "I-I'm your wife." You faultered and he scoffed. "Not so brave now" he whispered. His eyes calmly studied your face, quiet, the forest and it creautres seemingly silencing their activities to make your experience as awful as possible. The silence drilled into your skull, a sticky panic ebbed and flowed in your chest. You wanted to dry heave, throw up and gasp for air. Claw at his face and roll down the mountain. Maybe a fluffy bear would take mercy on you, finding himself a nice snack in the woods.

"Youre scared" Sakuna seethed in your ear, like a snake his tone pestering you like a fly. "You should be" he spoke lowly.

You didnt react just froze there as he slithered around you, toying with you.

You gathered what pathetic, small bits of strength you had left. "Im not" you whispered turning your head away from him. Sakuna was taken back but the sharp toothed grin quickly returned to his mouth. He inched his face closer to yours "you not?" He said almost mockingly.

You took a deep breathe in, gathering your nerves like broken glass from the floor. You gently cupped your hands around his face and smiled. "Because you are my husband" you said softly. His eyes widened and you felt your hands slapped away.

Your life as one of Sakuna's wives started that night. He didnt say a word to you, just led you into the tenple and then disapeared. A young female servant rushed to meet you and led you to your room. She gave you blankets and a change of clothes, giving you a brief tour of your immediate area. "Dont leave this hallway" she warned before scurring away.

You didnt sleep that night, just rolled around in your blankets and silently cried.

The next morning you would be met by the same servent that had helped you. She ushered you out of bed and helped you get dressed. She drapped a pink and white kimono over your body and tied it tightly in the back. Fussing to herself. "To the vanity" she mummbled pointing to the large vanity that sat on the far left wall of your room.

She did your hair there, pinning it up and decorating it with flower broaches and dangling white string.

She powdered your face and applied a modest of blush and mascara.

When she stepped out of your way you didnt recognize yourself. You stared in shock at your reflection. "Our Lord Sakuna likes his wife to be as flowers." She stepped in front of you and knelt down dropping her eyes to yours. They were dark and melting like honey. "Dont wilt" she said tapping you on the nose.

You blinked in suprise, silent to her words. She smiled at you popping back up and turning her back to you. "Please follow me for breakfast" she said simply.

Living in the temple gave you migranes.

Pouding headaches that came on when you were about to fall asleep at night. They plagued you for the first three wekks of your new life. In that time you never saw Sakuna, just you servant and sometimes a peek of the other wives in the garden in the center of court yard. They were beautiful and graceful like swans, light and airy. Their long sleeves and their proper smiles. You would be entranced by then when you walked by the window looking out, you felt like a different class, a rat amongst butterflies. Sakuna was never out with them. One morning while getting ready you cautiously asked your attendent why he never came around. "Lord Sakuna doesnt like his wives. He prefers not to be around them" you nodded and played with the fabric of your sleeve. 'Then why was I taken from my village' you thought feeling pissed.

Those feelings of anger and frustration boiled within you, staining every part of you. Every hour you spent in your room, every second you walked up and down the same hallway ate at you. The same thought repeating in your mind 'why am I here then? Why am I here?'

More days passed, more weeks. Finally one day you and the rest of the girls were brought to an area of the temple you had never been before. It was a wide open room, with dark wood floors and dark wood walls. It was truly beautiful. The dark brown mingling with the bright red of the woods edges.

You were absolutely captivated at the craftsmanship. Until Sakuna walked in.

Your eyes snapped to his hulking presence, his horrific body exuding an aura you thought could only be had in tales. It was so extraordinaryly evil you thought it unreal.

He was wearing a robe that was loosley fitting blue pants, his upper body fully exposed. He was muscular, each one of his four arms, his torso a weapon in its own right. You felt a jolt through you body and you felt so terribly terrified.

His many eyes looked over all the other girl, their intent undetectible. "Line up ladies" he said and a snarl of a smile played on his lips. Some of the other wives threw the others to the ground trying to get a spot at the front of the row. You however stayed at the end hoping to stay undetected, just like you were holed up in your room.

Sakuna watched everyone fall in line stepping pleased to see the sheer volume of women he had. "21 of you now?" He mused, you felt frightened to the fact you were the one at the end of thag 20. That he acknowledged your presence here at the temple. "Seems Ive gotten ahead of myself, you see I dont possibly have the need for 21 wives." He smiled and the air went stale. The rummbling of everyones anxiety shocked the air, the unrest made your teeth chatter.

"Shut the doors please" he said and a looming feeling came over you. You dont know why but you locked your eyes directly in front of you, not daring to move or look away. There were screams beside you, horrible squelchs and the scuffle of feet. You heard women pleading and a laugh so revolting it sounded like annihilation.

You blocked it out, letting the sounds suround you but not enter your ears, you didnt want them to touch you. In fear that the closer the screams got to you meant the closer you were to echoing them.

Eventually though he would step into your view covered in blood, tremmbling with joy. He hooked a sharp black fingernail under your chin and tilted your head up. Your eyes swallowed by his. "My wife" he grinned and you remained silent allowing his eyes to look you over, pick you apart.

"Hmm" he hummed curiously pulling out the pin that held your hair up, watching as your hair cascaded down your shoulder. The softness of the gesture shocked you, especially with the remaining scream of the dying women bleeding out on the floor.

In all he would kill 16 of his wives, shooing you and the others back to your part of the temple, shaking and clinging to eachother. "Am I really alive" "why has he done it" a few of them whispered once out of Sakunas range. You paced behind them wishing you could cling to someones arm as well. Wishing to feel the body heat of another human being. But the four girl had already found their half, you were the odd one out, the one at the end of the 20.

....

"Sakuna has requested you" your maid said popping suddenly into your room. You were groggy from sleep, thinking it was a dream. "He wants to see me?" You asked and your maid nodded. "Yes. Now get up. He dosent like to be left waiting."

She rushed you along your morning routine. Fussing at you while she combed your hair. "You need to brush your hair more and sleep in a braid. Look at all these knots" you said ripping the brush through your hair. You smiled sheepishly tears pricking at the corner of you eyes.

She did this most mornings, you didnt mind. Today though the pressure seemed to be on. She spent extra time on your hair and makeup. Your dress seeming a bit more fancy then usual as well. She straightened out your kimono and stood up brushing her hair back. "You will have breakfast with our lord" she sighed. Her eyes wandered behind her, checking for something and when that something wasnt found she stepped closer to you, lowering her voice. "If you want to survive you need to do exactly as I say and dont mutter a word to the others." She whispered, her eyes raised to yours and you hesitated at their intensity. You nodded and she continued. "This is the final countdown. Our lord is finally looking to settle. Thats why he massacred the others." You knitted your eyebrows in confusion. "Hes looking to settle?" You questioned lowly and she sighed again. "Lord Sakuna will finally settle with one wife. This is his process of elimination, the final stretch. I never thought it would happen, theres been so many women, so many bodies.." she said trailing off her eyes turning blank and for a second seemed to be remembering something. "Until you came here and things changed. Maybe its just a coincidence... its probably a coincidence." She eyed you dangerously now. "If you want to live you need to do everything I say. You have to get him to choose you." She said and you nodded feeling your heart rate pick up. "I will mold you into his perfect wife."

On your walk together to Sakuna she explainrd that Sakuna preferred quiet girls. "He likes girls that will bow to him but do not mistake that he prefers docile girls. He like a stubborn streak just not to stubborn. Be neat and composed. Hes looking for a queen, be worthy of that crown." You nodded feeling like a nervous wreck. Your hands were sweating and your stomach churned, for a second you thought maybe it would be best to fall short of his expectations, let him execute you and release you from this bird cage but you thought of your father and thought better of it.

She led you down the hallway and back into the beautiful dark wood room, the room he ravaged the other girls, the ones he didnt want. There was no stains on the floor, the sound and the smell were gone, like it was a dream. The girls missing presence reminded you that is was not.

jeremy: jay- doesn’t get the squip to end up w nya, but instead bc he’s sick of feeling like a loser and thinks it’s be good for both him and cole if he was “cooler” bc to him cole is the coolest guy he knows and he feels like he’s holding him back socially

michael: cole- end love interest, obv obv

christine: nya- kind of plays a similar role to chloe or brooke in the sense that jay only tries to date her bc the squip tells him it’ll make him seem cool, rather than genuine feelings; has a little gossip trio w/ morro and pixal

rich: kai- got a squip a year prior, pretty much same character/purpose as rich

jenna: morro- idk i just rlly love the idea of morro being the queen of gossip @ their school

jake: lloyd- bros the green ninja ofc he’s the most popular guy @ school in this au, but also not jock popular guy like jake, more like the popular guy who’s popular bc he’s attractive but ALSO he’s just the sweetest guy. ever. and rlly oblivious to the point where u want to hate him bc of the way the ppl who are nice to him/like him are but you can’t bc he’s so sweet

chloe: pixal- listen okay she’s just a gossip girl ik im pushing it w chloe and christine here but let me LIVE okay let me have my nya pixal + morro gossip trio

brooke: zane- zane is the innocent guy that is besties w the gossip trio bc he follows pixal like a puppy and she would protect him w her life

endgame ships: bruise, bg pixane + maybe samuraishipping

would also include focuses on the dynamics between: kai + lloyd, rgb siblings, nya pixal + morro, kai + jay, + probably more if i fleshed out the whole plot a little more

so like on the one hand we have the obvious: replace nya w cole. which. i want to do obv bc it’s perfect and i have been planning out the details of the scene where he dies in jays arms and they turn back time and then we finally get our bruise kiss since FOREVER so im not letting my baby go even if other ppl have already written the concept b4.

ON THE OTHER HAND we have, instead of doing the same plot just switching around the roles of some of the characters, REWRITING THE WHOLE PLOT BC HEAR ME OUT HEAR ME OUTTTTT OKAY everyones always like “nyas the bride” “coles the bride” but what if WHAT IF WHAT IFFFFF *JAYS* THE BRIDE???? HEAR ME OUT HERE ME OUT HEAR ME OUT OKAY IVE BEEN THINKING ABT THIS IT CAME TO ME IN THE SHOWER AND I WAS LIKE. THIS. I COULD WORK WITH THIS. BC I WAS THINKING ABT LIKE SOME YUMMY COLE-PERSPECTIVE BRUISE ANGST OF S6 W THE SONG “ITS OVER, ISNT IT” THE OTHER DAY AND I WAS LIKE “HM WHAT IF I WRITE A WHOLE FIC ABT THIS” BC I CANT JUST THINK OF ONE-SIDED BRUISE BC I HATE THE ONE SIDED SHIP TROPE *BUT* ONE SIDED BUT ITS ACTUALLY NOT THEY JUST THINK ITS ONE SIDED BC THEYRE IDIOTS IS A TROPE THAT HAS SUCH A CHOKEHOLD ON ME AND NOW HERE I AM!!!!

any ways uh if i did this im kinda thinking like. nadakhans all “i wanna marry nya” and jays like “dude wtf u can’t just. marry nya ill fite u /p coles my real bbg ofc” and nadakhan says “shit u rite. too much work. plus i got me a captive rite here like it don’t matter who i marry cuz once i got my powers i can bring back that shitty girlypop of mine n e ways. damn bluey ur so smart” and jays like “wha.” so our guy writes a fun explanation of the whole marriage thing to the rest of the squad and he’s like “YOO so im bouta get married but that would not be great for me or anyone else in the whole world so maybe we should do something abt that like just so y’all know” and coles like “bitch not my MANS” and we’ll see where it goes from there bc the timeline would be V different and things would have to get done faster meaning they’d get done differently and id have to actually rewatch the season to figure out the kinks but as i continue to write this the urge to make this a reality grows every more tempting i am foaming at the mouth rn

dumped all of this into my notes and decided to share to gauge ppls interests (pls excuse any rambling my notes are full of so much rambling it’s not even funny)

Hum Hi, just wanted to know how your boyf and you are rewriting the show ? I'm a hazbin hotel watcher (not a fan, It's meh, i just really like the songs-) and i really want to learn a bit about how you guys would make it better, if that's okay ?

i appreciate the interest!!!! but honestly theres . so much changed i dont think i could possibly sum it up in a tumblr postjksdfhjk

ill give you the highlights of things that got changed in the rewrite (tw for talk of abuse dynamics)

a lot of small character things get changed. everyones design gets a major re-do, and vaggie's name has been changed. its 'Vega' now <3

the idea of sinners being confined to the pride ring is literally the dumbest shit ever. like no wonder youre fucking overpopulated, youre cramming all the people into one sin that most of them dont even fit under???? so we made it so you go to the ring of the sin you indulged in most in life, and that sin determines your color palette. red is wrath (including people like alastor and nifty), pink is lust (angel, valentino), greed is yellow (husk, vox), pride is purple (vega, velvet << i refuse to call her velvette), gluttony is orange (cherri maybe?), sloth is indigo (no ones here yet), and envy is green (sir pentious).

heaven, charlie, and the hotel are on a bright, sky blue palette. its supposed to encourage sinners to reach for the sky! charlie and vega wear this blue, and alastors recruits (husk and nifty) wear red.

obviously everything about angel and valentino are getting a major overhaul. their abuse arc was portrayed in such an awful, fetishized light it literally makes me sick.

the whole idea of heaven not knowing how a soul gets there? dumb as shit. were going with a more common interpreation of hell being a place where you have more freedom, but so does everyone else, and that freedom comes at the price of safety and trust. and heaven is a place where freedom is heavily restricted behind a lofty rule book. theres a reason hell is overpopulated; getting into heaven can be demanding, and the exceptions sometimes seem unjust.

husk x angel is,,,,,,,so so bad in the show. its so bad. they have 0 chemistry and angel is so victimized (even when HES in the wrong) and husk is forced to coddle him and it makes me so mad. but me and my boyf were CONVINCED we could make it work. in the rewrite, husk and angel have a complicated relationship at the beginning. angel is continuing val's cycle of abuse and husk is the only one willing to call him out on it. he doesnt baby him or comfort him and instead gives him a much needed wake up call, and slowly angel starts to be more respectful of boundaries because he realizes hes terrified of doing whats done to him to someone else. its rocky but theyre getting there.

the writing is really super bad but theres not much we can do about that . its not entirely the shows fault for the shitty pacing but were stretching every event out coniderably.

i could keep rambling but wed be here all day so im gonna call it there ^^" i hope this was coherent

I RETURN WITH MORE QUESTIONS. and one topic on my mind. xion xion xion xion xion xion XION shes so interesting and your hcs are always so good do you have any about her or the sea salt trio in general. i miss them so much (also i know you have work to do sorry if this is a distraction from it!! feel free to leave this ask for later)

IM FREEE WHICH MEANSSS I CAN TALK ABOUT MY DEAR DEAR XION!!!! no joke i have been thinking about her all day.

first off i LOVEEE xion so much. whenever i see her get attention and love im so happy. when i see her i have a habit of going "XIONNNN" super loudly.

im putting this under a read more cuz its gotten super long oops

my xion headcanons... well first of all i love every reading of her character as a trans allegory & how people intepret her as either trans or nonbinary! i dont think it was done on purpose but shes been claimed by the commjnity and im so happy about it. transfem xion my beloved. second of all shes autistic TO ME but honestly everyone in soras heart hotel is so thats a given. third of all give me xion with big dark brown eyes or give me death!

what id like to see explored in future games / i fanwork: her identity! we see roxas's frustration and anger about being his own person plenty but we hardly see xion upset at her predicament. i think this is because she wants to do the right thing, not because shes okay with the situation. i really want to see xion's feelings about not having her own identity explored, given that everything about her is based on either sora or his memories of kairi and she was basically created in a lab as a tool for organization 13. she should feel weird about existing in the first place, especially next to roxas and naminé, who dont have the same history behind their creation

in addendum to that, i want to see xions character design change to something more unique. she already has a new outfit, but id love to see her have a new hairstyle (whether she grows it out or just puts it up) so she has something different than a mirror of kh1 kairi's hair. i think ive also mentioned that i think itd be interesting if xion had her own eye color after kh3 (side note its bullshit we never got to see her norted eyes in kh3. she shouldve played a bigger role in the story too but thats another rant) to symbolize that shes her own person now, not a puppet meant to copy sora. lastly she !!! deserves !!! her own keyblade!!! there's so many cool keyblades from days to choose from & theres the weapons from her boss fight - theres no reason for her to still be using the kingdom key and i really hope she gets her own soon.

i keep thinking about what you said about xion not being another "nice" girl character and im like... so true. i dont think xion would be mean i want to go about it in a way that doesnt completely rewrite her character but i think exploring how she copes with her past w/ both organizations & her identity & trauma would be interesting, especially with how it parallels to naminé's own way of coping and dealing with her own trauma. theyre like Shy vs introverted to me lmfao i think xion tries to be friendly but overall she prefers to stay close to the people she feels safe around. i want to see xion be rude but in the autism way where she doesnt mean it shes just not aware. and stuff like that i guess. this paragraph was just word vomit my bad

THE SEA SALT TRIO... theyre seriously the family of all time i love them so much. ill just focus on xion here because this is already super long. BUT AXEL LOVES XION SO MUCH IT MAKES ME SICK THEYRE NOT TALKED ABOUT ENOUGH.. the implication that lea subconsciously keeps his coat on in kh3 so xion (and roxas) can recognize him makes me so emotional. also the fact that lea just clicks with kairi because she also holds a part of xion inside her... AND WHEN HE BUYS HER AN ICE CREAM AND HE DOESNT EVEN REMEMBER WHY HES BUYING THREE. UGH. i love them so much. theyre definitely one of those duos found in the trios that dont get much attention which just draws me towards them more (like riku and kairi). i think lea is absolutely riddled with guilt about the events of days so he never lets xion forget that shes loved. i think xion is touch-averse *except* when it comes to roxas and lea because she feels safest around them.❤️

to end i will discuss roxas and xion . they are like a little orange cat and a little black cat to me. halloween colored. theyre so small i love them so much. i imagine when xion first meets the twilight town gang shes jealous bc roxas has other friends :( but roxas assures her shes super duper special to him and no one else can take her place in his life. they have such a unique bond that i dont know if any of the other characters have with each other. just something so special about those two. when it feels like no one else understands they have each other... and i think that makes for some angst when xion struggles with her own issues that even roxas cant relate to

Chapter 4: Shattered Mirrors

Waking up can be hard.

This time, it was the feeling of falling that jolted Nathanael awake. The fleeting ghost of memories and dreams bled into nothingness, fading away and fast forgotten. His body was stiff and aching, and his eyes opened wide in panic. Sitting up, he quickly recognized the familiar space of his room even in the darkness. Nearby on his desk, his computer screen cast a cold, blue light. Everything was alien and monsters linger in the shadows.

Nathanael grabbed at his sheets beneath him, quickly aware of an emptiness. It was too quiet.

Something was wrong. Something was missing.

Cold sweat broke across his forehead. Frantically, he patted himself down, searching his pockets. Everything was wrong. He didn't remember getting home or falling asleep and he was wearing his clothes from the day before. His pants feel constricting and his belt digs uncomfortably into his skin.

His hands shook as he opened up his wrinkled jacket, checking for any signs of green or blue. Under his skin, he could feel the flutter of wings, the itch of clicking insects. His skin crawled.

He groaned slightly as each movement pulled uncomfortably at his muscles. But it was not just his body that was sore; his mind was clouded, not helping his confusion. The beat in his temple swelled and an echo of anger passed through him. His head pounded as he began to remember what happened.

Hawk Moth.

He paused. And the memories slowly came back to him. He reached a hand up to his face and flinched at the sting of pain on his cheek.

“You feel too much, boy”

He squeezed his eyes shut for a moment, remembering the fight, his failure, and the butterflies.

Hawk Moth was right… he did feel too much. And in that moment all he could feel was rage.

It burned. His breath sped up, matching his hurried heartbeat. Each frantic huff of air felt like fire in his throat. It tasted bitter.

Leaning forward, Nathanael rested his forehead against his knees, trying hard to ease his beating heart, but the more he tried, the more his body resisted.

“You must be in control.”

He wasn’t.

He was never in control to begin with…

His chest heaved as he gasped repeatedly, trying to catch his breath. It was to no avail, however, as the action only seems to stoke the flames setting his blood to boil.

It wasn’t until he brought his hands up to his face, that he realized he was crying. He smashed his open palms at his eyes, trying in vain to dam the flow of tears as large sobs wracked through his body. Shame, fright, and bitterness bled through him, but above all else, was his anger.

Still above it all, above the turmoil of his mind, Nathanael could also feel sadness. And he knew it wasn’t his.

When he finally looked up, he saw sparkles in the evening light.

Duusu.

A small bundle of blue lay beside him at the foot of the bed. She was shaking, wrapped around the Miraculous, holding it close to her chest.

He grabbed his hair, pulling it away from his face. Rogue tears streamed down his face that he had no control over.

“Duusu,” he whispered.

She shook harder. Her eyes squeezed shut, the pink glow on her forehead almost unnoticeable, just a small dot. And with a weak shake of her head, she wrapped herself tighter around the pin. Her tail feathers blended into its pattern.

He gasped; a flood of melancholy drowned him. Regret, sorrow, pain. He felt it all.

“Duusu,” he repeated, his voice harsher. “Stop it.”

She whimpered.

The sound stabbed him in the gut.

“Stop,” he tried again.

He leaned forward, a hand reaching towards her before he stopped. He stared at the shimmering tears floating through the air. Instead he wiped his own tears from his face, feeling the bruise on his cheek.

“You must be in control.”

He tried to breath deeply, to calm himself. It didn’t work.

“I—I don’t want this,” he said quietly, his hands tangled into his hair once more as he rested his elbows on his drawn up knees. “Just make it stop…”

Pink eyes stared at him.

He looked at the Miraculous to which she so desperately clung to. He wanted nothing more than to pick it up and throw it out the window, to smash it to pieces…

But he couldn’t.

He wasn’t strong enough.

He needed those earrings. He needed the ring.

To do that he needed to be stronger, Hawk Moth had made it clear it was his weakness. He needed to be in control, to wield the power he was cursed with.

Another wave of sadness grabbed him, sucking the air from his lungs.

“Duusu, please… if you could just stop,” he said, “I just need… I need—“

He needed quiet.

He needed peace.

He didn’t want this.

His own anger flared once more, trying to overpower Duusu’s sadness.

Tired and sore, he fell backwards, lying down in defeat. He absently grabbed for his phone beside him, checking how long he had to try to sleep until he would have to get ready for school.

He would end this, he told himself over and over as he closed his eyes to another restless sleep. First he would get that comb, then the earrings, the ring…

The vision of a black butterfly flying towards him filled his mind and his hands clenched into fists.

He would get that pin.

AAAA OMG WELCOME!!! HOPE UR ENJOYIN IT SO FAR \OUO/!!!

i LOVE this question and i have sO MANY THOUGHTS ABOUT THE REBOOT so ima try to break it down into my likes, dislikes, and hit or miss (things i liked some of the time but not all the time)

🌈 10 things i liked!!!!! 🌈 <-- in no particular order

1. THE THEME SONG REWRITE!!!! ITS GREAT!!! og series callbacks, DELIGHTFULLY MORE INCLUSIVE, all those unnecessary side characters cut out, no weird celebrity references JUST RLLY WELL DONE and im glad they just redid the old one instead of making a brand new one ITS A CLASSIC!! plus this way u rlly notice those differences and how great they are

2. SPEAKING OF nO BORING SIDE CHARAS... YEAH!! THAT!! perhaps an unpopular opinion but ive never been a fan of the side characters and watched the og show p much exclusively for the warners so i LOVE that its mostly about them now!! (( i do miss the mime tho but they shoulda been nicer to him u_u ))

3. also like the theme song: MUCH LESS CELEBRITY CAMEOS/REFERENCES there are still a few but i feel like they were WAY more abundant in the og series and im rlly glad they calmed down w that, its actually Not That Fun to try and spot all the celebrities

4. mORE “IRL”/TIME IN THE TOWER!!! while there are some shorts where the warners are “acting” (gold meddlers, warners unbound etc) the VAST MAJORITY(19) of the 26 warner shorts take place “irl”!! WE GET TO SEE THEM IN THE TOWER SO MUCH!! eating together, shopping together, TRICK OR TREATING TOGETHER!!! and i just LOVE this stuff its sO GOOD FOR CHARACTER BUILDING!!

5. DIVERSITY!!!! EVEN THE BG CHARACTERS!! EVEN IN BODY TYPE!!! no more fatness only as a joke and hotness as the only other option for women, PPL ARE AVERAGE AND I LOVE IT

6. OVERALL CONSISTENT QUALITY!!! THE ANIMATION IS REALLY INCREDIBLE AND BEAUTIFUL TO WATCH!!! that was one of the BIGGEST flaws of the og series, so many eps were animated poorly bc they were handed off to studios that rlly didnt know how to draw the warners so its HELLA to see them beautifully animated in EVERY ep of the reboot so far

7. nO HORNY JOKES...POSSIBLY ANOTHER UNPOPULAR OPINION?? bUT I NEVER RLLY LIKED ALL THESE HORNY JOKES GIVEN TO KIDS IN THE FIRST PLACE LKDKD its actually rlly neat to see how creative the writing gets when they cant just horny joke their way out of a situation ALSO THIS BIT WAS AMAZING

8. I RLLY LOVE THAT THE CEO DOESNT HATE THEM!!!!! it was so frustrating in the og series that the ceo wouldnt even hear them out EVEN WHEN IT WAS STUFF THAT WOULD BENEFIT HIM its nice that this lady is insane AND greedy aND YET ISNT REALLY MALICIOUS TOWARDS THE WARNERS AT ALL at least not any more than she is to anybody else ITS REFRESHING!! I LIKE NORITA

9. ANIME-NIACS!!!!! thATS ALL I GOTTA SAY ABOUT THAT LDJLKD

10. FANGIES!!!!!!!!! they always had fangy energy im so glad it finally manifested...

⭐ 4 things i didnt like ⭐ i was gonna make this a top 10 list but i couldnt think of 10 things i didnt like djkldkljd

1. THE REDESIGN.... yes i know i was just celebrating the fangs bUT other than that i rlly wasnt a fan of the redesign.. its just too ...animal?? the triangle noses and changing their white faces to beige just seemed rlly unnecessary imo..

aLSO THEY LOST THEIR CLOWNINESS!!! ;;;;; i miss that clown aesthetic... big round red noses, white faces.. also i loved it when characters would try to describe them and say things like THEY HAVE FACES LIKE A CREEPY CLOWN dLdlkjdJLK

im not sure why they couldnt at least stay w the white n black like the old cartoons theyre based on??? THERES EVEN A SONG IN THE REBOOT THAT SAYS “LIKE US, ITS BLACK AND WHITE” bUT... THEYRE NOT BLACK N WHITE ANYMORE LDKKDJ

also the redesign is a lot more angular/less round than the original and i jus prefer the sof..

2. GROSS OUT HUMOR ..LIKE HONESTLY WTF LDLJKLJKDD theres not too much of it thankfully but the og series had like.. nONE so it was a shock when theyd suddenly zoom in on marie antoinette’s finger and it was LIKE THAT and the pigeon scene at the end of “the cutening” actually made me feel sick sdjkdjk JUST IN GENERAL IM NOT A FAN OF GROSS OUT HUMOR SO .. EUUGHGH

3. those random new shorts that are like???? whyd u get rid of the side characters if ur gonna have these guys anyway?? the gnome in ppls mouths and the alien guy?? neither were funny to me and again the gnome short was mostly gross

4. YAKKO CANT DO MATH?? YAKKO DOESNT KNOW WHAT PLEBIAN MEANS??? HELLO?? HE HAS A VERY COMPLICATED SONG WHERE HE BREAKS DOWN MULTIPLICATION AND ANOTHER WHERE HE SINGS EVERY WORD IN THE DICTIONARY!! hES SO SMART LET HIM BE SMART hES A HUGE NERD PLS...

THE SONGS!!! while i love that they brought back the musical aspect of the show (its rlly not animaniacs without singing tbh) the songs were sUPER VARIED IN QUALITY IMO

🌈 OVERALL I HAVE A LOT MORE POSITIVE TO SAY ABOUT THE SHOW THAN NEGATIVE AND IF ANYBODY ASKS I ALWAYS SAY I LOVED IT!!! 🌈

IS IT PERFECT? NAH

IS IT FUNNY AND FUN AND IN GENERAL A SHOW THAT MAKES ME AS HAPPY AS THE OG SERIES DID? ABSOLUTELY 100%!!!

danny phantom season 2, eps 1-5 thoughts! opening the new season with episodes like these kinda blew me away. we had multiple serious episodes INCLUDING a two parter!! also, valerie :)

-I don't know what I expected s2 to open with. but danny portal incident in more detail was not it. (also, I hate to break it to you, sam, but danny's parent's bigass ghost hunting rv def chugs more gas than those vehicles, lmao. unless it runs on ectoplasm or something...)

-WHY WAS DESIREE IN THE SEWER? HAVING TEA WITH IT DOWN THERE?? Her making the giant cow come alive is a boss move, we've almost had all of my fav animals as ghosts now <3 I also don't like how sam was expecting danny to just, haunt the place so the cars wouldn't get sold? I KNOWWW I know she's 14 (and I had a very annoying phase like this, I think I mentioned in a previous post, I GET IT) but they're HIS powers, and messing with (1) dealership will not really put a dent in sales overall because they can just move the cars to another sales lot, and it certainly wont change the industry anyway, it's more of a minor annoyance for (1) location. Also, usually people who work at car sales places work on commission, so if they dont make a sale, they don't have money to pay bills, or eat. sam baby if u wanna be an activist you need to like, actually look into these things. with as much money as her parents have, she could be doing a lot..more useful things for causes she cares about? it's frustrating to see someone with resources who doesn't know how to use them. but shes 14 so again. cannot be really upset :/

-IS THIS A PREDATOR VS TERMINATOR VS FREDDY KRUEGER MOVIE BUT THEYRE ALL WOMEN?? you know, sam is so right to be excited about this. /I/ want to see this movie. that rules

-paulina inviting danny and friends to her quinceañera, aw! even if it is just to get phantom to show up :') and there'll be a meteor shower, and we KNOW danny wants to be an astronaut!! there's not a meteor shower every night!! the tickets are non-refundable, but..she's rich? like. gotta agree with danny, they never get invited!! I KNOW it's the principle of keeping promises, but if she was that upset, she should've said something. directly. I hated how she was like, passive aggressive about it through the episode, like you SAID IT WAS FINE, THAT YOU'D GO TO THE PARTY TOO. MOVIES SHOW FOR A FEW WEEKS IN THEATERS. IF YOU HAD A REAL PROBLEM YOU NEED TO TALK ABOUT IT. WE'VE HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE, SAM. YOUR FRIENDS. ARE NOT. MIND READERS.

-MR. LANCER GOING AFTER THE GHOST WITH THE FIRE EXTINGISHER LMAO

-this outfit is everything . anytime the show does an over the top cutesty pink outfit i WANT IT. it looks like shit I wear JKASDHF I HAVE a bow like that and a pink sweater. I need leg warmers </3

-SAMS GOTTA RE-HALF-KILL HIM??? thats fucked up. but also, he finally got his logo!! it took until s2!!! this episode was lowkey very fucked and I felt like it glossed over a lot. does sam have guilt about like. kinda KILLING HIM?? I know, he also agreed and walked into the portal. but. she made the choice to redo it SO quickly (even if it was because someone had to beat desiree) and danny, during their fight, brought up a lot of stuff sam's done in the past, meaning he was holding onto those memories and resentment was building. (I KEEP SAYING HE LOWKEY NEEDS THERAPY, BUT I THINK MOST EVERYONE IN THIS SHOW KINDA DOES) which...is a red flag? and then they didnt even GO to the party URGH I know she tried to make up for it, but it really felt like Sam fucked up and barely faced any consequences and got everything she wanted in the end. I KNOW it's a kids show obv they aren't going to go too in depth, and she undid the damage, kinda, but...I DUNNO how to articulate it but it rubbed me the wrong way.

-but on a note about desiree, her powers of wishes were STRONG ENOUGH TO ERASE NOT JUST THEIR MEMORIES, BUT DANNY'S POWERS?! fuck, if I was danny I'd be like, trying to make friends with her. I know they always have horrible side effects as most genie-granted wishes do, but...c'mon, I'd at least TRY to be like 'I wish no ghosts would hurt anyone in my town' or 'I wish vlad would lose his ghost powers forever no matter What and also forget about my mom' LIKE. SHIT DESIREE IS SO POWERFUL. rewriting reality powerful, basically!! appreciate her. respect her.

-aww, sam helping tucker pass the nurse's office so he wouldn't see because he's afraid of medical stuff? very sweet. I also don't like medical stuff, I've gotten a lot better at handling it tho. but seeing blood and needles still makes me feel lightheaded x_x

-FOLEY, BY TUCKER FOLEY. I want to make my own perfume, that's so cool. even if his first attempt isn't good, he's pretty consistently shown to have an inventor/entrepreneur streak in the show, so like. I can see him inventing or making something (or several somethings) that make him $$$ when he grows up :) proud of my creative son

-I know the 'creepy abandoned hospital on the edge of town' is a joke and the creepy hospital trope is so Worn Out, but in my town we actually DO have a hospital like that! my dad was born in it, but its not in use and hasn't been for, like, 20 years! it needs to be torn down but I think the city doesn't wanna pay the money. the inside is horrible, spray painted and broken glass and shit everywhere. but there's still like, rusty equipment and fucking DOLLS all over the place. the cops drive by it pretty frequently to make sure no one is like, breaking in. (because of water damage, some of the areas really aren't safe. also, asbestos, but people still go in anyway) but also, some of my town was used in a filming for a stephen king show. So it's lowkey spooky all over. just a fun personal tidbit :) to lead into saying, any hospital abandoned for any period of time is NOT safe to quarantine these kids in JKSAHDKF like I KNOW it's a ghost trying to do this, but NONE of these parents are even like, 'well, why dont we keep them in the regular, working hospital'....YIKES. this hospital looks pretty accurate to the one in town. grungy and spooky.

-fentons are tax evaders confirmed by jack's fear of being audited, lol no one is surprised

-ghost sickness via ghost bugs. horrifying concept. I actually expected it to be a new villain, not dr. spectra again! this is a very elaborate scheme. her new form rules, love the new costume. the way none of the bg kids seem to recognize her as their old school councilor. did we just forget about that completely?

-dash watching romance movies in the fucked up ghost hospital. same.

-'oh please, you're ghosts, do you have any idea what YOU smell like?' no, tucker, what DO ghosts smell like? I genuinely didn't know they would even have a smell, I actually want to know now.

-it feels like a while since we've seen jazz!! i was happy to see her again, even if she was a head in a jar for most the episode. I want another jazz-focused ep!!

-we finally see danny doing space-related stuff!! him and his friends stargazing to open ep 3 of s2. cute :) until, GHOST PIRATES!!!!! ...ghost pirate captain is a small child?? VOICED BY TAYLOR LAUTNER???

-oh, the easy listening is ember's song instrumental slowed. 'vapor drone' THEY VAPORWAVED HER!!! ember in a pirate outfit tho >>>>. and the cruise being called m.bersback JKASDHJK. ember adopting a little pirate brother is also pretty cute. concerning this teen and little kid have such bad opinions of adults, like, who hurt you?? (how did you DIE ALSO?? im always lowkey curious about that. we know desiree died at an old age, but her ghost form is young, probably mid-20s, so I wonder how that sort of thing works...its a more mental thing, isn't it?) but ghost team-ups are always cool to see, even if ember bailed after danny took her guitar. I guess she probably thinks youngblood can handle it (which, he's been owning danny this far in the ep, so...fair)

-tucker got that sponsorship from nasty burger for their radio!!! again, opportunistic money maker king, love to see it!!!

-danny taking control of the kids SO FAST. he makes a pretty great leader. no one is surprised, im pretty sure I said I think he's the most mature of the trio, once again, correct, because he's taken on so much responsibility already. all the teens suiting up in the jumpsuits to go save the adults and taking the ship over with a BLIMP. OKAY LETS GO. this feels like it should be a mid finale or straight up finale.

-...speaking of finales. why is ep 4-5 of s2 combined into a 50 minute episode? I havent even clicked play and im concerned. weird placement, like, this season JUST started and we're getting a two parter? okay...why are the episodes placed like this? why not put this at episode 10 or something, for a mid-season thing?

-this is also a cute dress. possibly my fav dress so far. can her parents give ME cute dresses, I'LL wear them.

-it turns out the castle fright knight was in is called pariah's keep and there's something worse than fright knight in there! lovely! fuck off vlad wtf are you doing <3 your hubris <3 is going to literally get you killed <3 'ring of rage' and 'crown of fire' are great names tho. ...vlad turning into a super polite guy when he was scared of mr. pariah was hilarious. and fright knight doing the same...I mean, it makes sense, he's a knight, he serves a king? happy to see fright knight again either way :) vlad telling him to call him tho, lmfao. you WISH HE WOULD. (I wish hed call me, too. 😔)

-so...jack being genuinely concerned about vlad...maddie really didn't tell him what happened at the cabin, did she. damn. if I was her id immediately come home and be like 'YOU WONT BELIEVE THIS SHITTTT THIS CREEPY GUY--' like, I feel like that stuff you need to tell your partner!!! I know she didnt want Jack to think she was an irresponsible parent putting danny in danger at that time, but STILLLL. maddie spilling boiling tea on him. get his ass. how is jack this oblivious to his wife's discomfort with vlad!! ughhh

-fenton wipe (tm). trademarked toilet paper.

-DANNY AND VALERIE BEING FRIENDS??? :D that was a cute moment. 'hey val <3' and 'if you like him like him, make a move, or someone else will ;)' at sam...damn!! I love her. valerie go for it girl!!! I hate how sam and tucker treat val also, like I GET IT YOURE PROTECTIVE AND DONT TRUST but if anything him befriending valerie will help when she finds out or he tells her like I feel like she'll be more understanding that they think! ALSO I feel like her reason for not liking ghosts is valid, like you haven't really explained the full story to her anyway! she doesn't seem to have any other friends after being booted from the a-listers so im like :( but seeing them kick butt together again was nice <3

-the ghosts all RUNNING FROM PARIAH DARK IS NOT GOOD, I thought he sent them to attack or something, but no. why doesn't someone just tell desiree 'hey i wish pariah dark would die' lol. once again I think she can solve every problem <3 but seeing all the enemies in one place, being civil and hiding together? love it.

-you just know danny's gonna have to clean up vlad's stupid mess. also, jack being willing to put on the ectoskeleton pants to help maddie, as soon as vlad heard it could kill him, he suggested jack do it instead of helping maddie himself? this is why jack got the girl, my man.

-ghost skeletons. how do you end up as a skeleton ghost in your afterlife instead of a humanoid like most the ones we've seen? lmao

-the ghosts just making new homes in various stores. I'd totally be setting up in an expensive clothing store if I was a ghost.

-valerie's dad is possibly the most useful adult so far, with that ghost shield expansion!!! and valerie saving vlad and danny, even tho shes been thru it already, shes still so good!!! this family rules.

-danny: *gently caresses valerie* :)

-*then he immediately TELLS HER DAD ON HER. and his first response is 'are you okay?' :'( such a good dad...

-*me every time fright knight breathes* youre doing SO great sweetie :)

-the fenton suit thing is so silly looking. does anyone take this thing seriously

-ALL THE GHOSTS FIGHTING WITH DANNY <3 AAAAA. and the fact that pariah isn't perma-defeated, but just locked away again. yikes. he'll probably get out again, won't he? it wasn't too clear, but if vlad DID make a pact with fright knight, I am rabid. I will beat vlad to death with the fenton bat (tm). YOU DONT DESERVE A COOL KNIGHT.

-valerie being direct with sam and challenging her? kinda love that, even tho I normally don't like 'catfight' type situations. because sam has been very passive aggressive about it which is annoying. valerie knows wtf she wants and wasn't even embarrassed to tell sam, but she did tell her, giving sam time to make her own move! and sam denied it and got embarrassed/mad! and sam did have a chance when danny was about to go off and fight, and she hesitated and didn't tell him. I feel like she's hesitating because they're friends and it might make it weird between the trio (poor tucker would be third-wheeling) but if u snooze u lose, u gotta GO after what u WANT girl. smh this is a No Tsundere Zone. 😤

One Piece Theory: The Treasure of Mary Geoise

The first time we hear about the existence of a treasure hidden in Mary Geoise is by Doflamingo,

We can garner, actually, quite a few things from Doflamingo’s speech. For starters, he calls it a “crucial” treasure. “Crucial” implies that whatever the treasure may be is, at the very least, very important (no duh!). However, “crucial” is a very particular word to choose. It alludes to a necessity – This treasure is imperative for the continuing success of something.

But for what?

While pirates, wars, and uprisings may cause the World Government annoyance, the events and people that appear to cause them the most alarm are those that challenge the status quo. They are absolutely terrified of the possibility that the world they’ve constructed in the last 800 years might be fall apart. The general Celestial Dragons fear this on a very topical level. They like the grandiose and morally ambiguous world they live in that gives them all the power. However, the Gorosei and Im-Sama tackle this on a much more hands-on level (See: Ohara Incident). It’s because of this, that I believe that the treasure is critical for maintaining the current state of affairs for the One Piece World.

Doflamingo then states that,

“If only I’d had the power of the op-op fruit in my grasp… On that specific day years ago… I would have been able to use of Marie Goise’ treasure to seize true world power!!!

The op-op fruit, as we know, can gift a person eternal youth (basically immortality) via the Perpetual Youth Surgery. Therefore, Doflamingo is saying that had he been immortal, he would have been able to use the treasure to take over the world. This implies one of two things:

1.) To seize true world power, would require a person to use the national treasure for a very long time (which would be possible as eternally youthful)

2.) A regular human would not be able to utilize the national treasure

Personally, I feel that the second option is more likely because it insinuates that only a very particular type of person is able to use the national treasure. Which would connect us to the new mysterious body of power in the One Piece World – Im-Sama.

Before the Reverie Arc, the Gorosei were the big bad bosses of the World Government. Shrouded in a lot of secrecy, they remain nameless to this day. The first several chapters of this arc, as well as comments made previously, built the Reverie up to be a nonpartisan gathering of world leaders. Oda emphasized this fact by focusing on the “empty throne”. So imagine our surprise, when only a few chapters later, we are introduced to Im-Sama (Ch. 906).

We first see them entering a freezing chamber deep within Pangea Castle with bounty posters in hand. Inside the chamber is a large straw hat. Fans immediately started to theorize that the giant straw hat must be the national treasure. Honestly, who is to say that it’s not, because at this point, anything is possible. However, with that being said, I doubt Oda would make it that literal – or that easy.

As I mentioned, this chapter – as well as the one afterwards – has spawned many a theory. Many have done a deep analysis of every page. There is little doubt that the straw hat is important. It would simply be too much of a coincidence (in relationship to Luffy) to be anything but a purposeful decision made on Oda’s part. However, I think the room Im-Sama enters, is of particular interest.

For starters, it appears as though there’s either steam in the air, or it’s freezing. If the whisps in the air are supposed to represent the cold, I believe – like many others – that this room’s purpose is to preserve something. If the straw hat is to be taken at face value, then it wouldn’t make sense to place it in a frozen room. I’m no expert on straw, but I’m pretty sure getting it wet constantly in the cold temperature wouldn’t lend itself to keeping it in pristine condition. No, I think it’s more likely that the giant straw hat has a connection to whatever is really being housed in that room.

So here it goes: It’s possible that the room is a crypt meant to preserve a person’s body. Honestly, in the world of One Piece, I don’t even think the person would necessarily have to be dead for them to be kept preserved. A la carbonite in Star Wars. If this is true, than it’s safe to say that whoever is being kept preserved is the true owner of that giant straw hat.

However, that begs the question, is this person even the treasure? Oda decided to introduce us to Im-Sama right after Doflamingo mentions the national treasure from his cell in Impel Down, saying,

“Isn’t it fine to reveal what it is already…? Power degrades quickly anyway… it rots away in no time at all…!! Fufufufu!!”

“Why does it matter if it’s revealed now? Power doesn’t last long. It’ll rot faster than anything thinks!”

- Doflamingo, Episode 885

I think it’s interesting that Doflamingo choose the word “rot” to describe how power degrades because that’s usually how people describe a dead body. This could just be a coincidence, but Doflamingo has a sick sense of humor and I could see him finding this funny – especially if no one else knew.

With that being said, I don’t want to overlook the importance of his statement “power degrades quickly anyway”. Because, while at first I thought he was referring to the national treasure’s power degrading, I now believe he’s referring the World Government itself. It’s almost like he’s saying, that at this point it shouldn’t matter if the secret gets out, because it was going to eventually. No body of power can last forever no matter how much control you have – something Doflamingo knows intimately. It definitely fits the fatalistic mindset we’ve come to expect from Doflamingo.

However, that begs the question, what exactly can this treasure do? Why is it crucial for the World Government to have? At this point, we can only really speculate on what specific ability it has. However, I would wager a guess that it has something to do with controlling how people remember history.

In a separate post, I speak about how the World Government has remained in power for so long because of how they manipulate the population similar to that of the Galactic Empire in Star Wars. They rewrite history to paint themselves as heroes and then continue to monitor the news and information before it goes out to the people, which in turn, increases complicity.

I just think that if it were some great destructive device, that we would have seen it by now.

The reaction was really interesting. I agreed with a lot of Bright’s point and it was nice to see a different perspective. I really wish they had showed it in the show. You can tell Bright is really attached to Sarawat and it hurts his heart to see the pain. It also showed me that the finale could have been loads better with a few cute scenes and a proper discussion. This is what Bright was talking about. At the end of the day it was the lack of communication.

Ahh I loved that reaction video and I loved seeing Bright talking about Sarawat’s point of view. I’m sure one of the reasons they bought him was the amount of shit he was getting from some people. This however also showed me what the show lacked. Though I loved 2gether.. most of the time we saw things were Tine’s perspective. It would have really been good to see it from Sarawat’s perspective in the last episode. You can also see Bright’s frustration at times with how they portrayed Sarawat.

I assume you watching the reaction video atm! Let me say this boy gives me heart attacks like how thoughtful he is and wants to explain sarawat’s every move since episode 12 and why he acted the way he acted. I felt like he kept it inside for so long that it needed to be spoken out like when he wanted to see a reaction from P’Jennie how he looked away and then right back at her. He was so stressed and on the edge the whole time! How he repeatedly said he’s sorry for Sarawat cause he knows that everyone was sorry for Tine but didn’t get to see/understand his side of version. He also zoned out in a couple of scenes like this boy has sooo many emotions and it feels it’s too overwhelming for him(I feel that at least). I’m so grateful that Bright exists and talk about loving a man and to feel love so freely!! He could’ve said so much in the end but instead it was more like an apology for hurting Tine and how his character works. He understands Sarawat so much. I’ll cry. I didn’t thought my opinion would be that long... he’s speaking so enthusiastically about Sarawat and what his character taught him. This boy is really a blessing for the 2gether + lgbt+ community I love him he’s a child like a babie :((

hiii anons!!! i’m gonna combine all of your asks into one bc we’re all essentially talking about the same thing.

yeah. so. the ep 13 reaction video. lets talk about it.

firstly, i ... it will never cease to astound me just how much bright loves sarawat? he knows him with every fibre of himself. he knows sarawat right down to the tendon and bone of him. like. bright’s taken so much time out to character study sarawat, get into his psyche and mind and heart. and. i hate novel! sarawat, but, bright’s taken that character, and made it his own, completely transforming him. and that takes so much understanding and commitment and passion. truly, we don’t deserve bright. we really don’t. and i am so thankful we got bright to play sarawat. no body else could have done sarawat better than bright. so much so that like .... they both overlap, bright and sarawat. sometimes its hard to distinguish where sarawat ends and bright begins.

and like some of yall said, i think it was a very clever ... move (?) ... to star bright to react to ep 13, solo, without win. bc, like yall mentioned, and like im gonna dwell on now: 2gether was entirely from tine’s perspective. it reminds me a bit of skam, in that way, that ... ya know even tho i’ve watched skam and i should KNOW this, but i still forget just how POWERFUL perspectives are. and how much they influence your way of thinking. i touched upon this after ep 12, but now after watching bright react to the whole of ep 13, like, it comes back to that. we saw everything through tine’s eyes. and so, it felt like, sarawat’s side needed to be justified. but it could never be done on the show bc the show was about tine’s perspective. and the only way it could have been done, is if they both would have talked.

which brings me onto my next point, that bright mentions - the biggest barrier and fault was they both don’t know how to talk. i touched upon this just yday actually, how sarawat is someone who doesn’t know how to talk, he’s more of a do-er (like bright said), whereas tine is someone who overthinks himself to the point of sickness and anxiety and so he doesn’t know how to voice that out, and like bright said, tine is someone who is EXTREMELY obedient - if someone says something to him to do, tine will go along and do that and won’t say no to them. which means that tine himself has had very little experience of going with his gut and how he feels, and when he comes face to face in a situation like that, it becomes Very overwhelming for him.

so, it was really clever to have bright on, solo, to explain everything from his and sarawat’s perspective. especially the bit where bright was like “everytime someone flirted with tine, wat never once questioned his trust for tine or their love, he would go directly to the person in question and deal with them.” and ... ya know, that’s more easier for sarawat to do, than it is for tine, who isn’t like that at all - like bright said, tine is the more obedient one who just follows along everybody else’s suggestions and has never really used his agency to decision make for himself.

and so ... yeaah. like. people sent a LOT of verbal abuse to bright after ep 12. and bright even said he knew it would happen, bc the entire series is from tine’s perspective, he understood that from well before. so he says he was prepared, but he still didn’t come on social media that often bc he got so much verbal abuse over it.

and like, i’ve said before, just like how jennie and go said in the reaction video, that we should have got less flashbacks in the finale, and instead, we could have had a more sweeter scene. that could have been and should have been a proper, open and honest conversation between tine and sarawat, or, as bright suggested, a kiss. so, ya know, as some people were saying that maybe bright was just uncomfortable about kissng win??? no. no he wouldnt be AT ALL. it just ... never occured in the script. but yeah. i think .......... it really did get to bright - that sarawat never on the show got a chance to explain.

which honestly makes me feel like thats why half the time he would improvise as sarawat? and add in things he KNOWS sarawat would/should do bc he KNOWS the depths of his love for tine so he used those moments so smartly to show that (a sign of v v v good acting!!!). like a marriage proposal, or putting tine’s hand over his shoulder, or adding in cheek kisses. like. bright’s really gone over and beyond for sarawat and tried to show just how intensely in love wat is with tine, with the little space and room for manoeuvre that he got granted.

idk if the some of scripts were written in a rush? i mean, 2gether was the FIRST show from gmmtv to air in 2020 - if i’m correct???? - so, between november to february, the had to get everything shooted and done, but they MUST have started script writing earlier than that. idk ...

personally, i do wish we did get some more of the novel scenes in the show. like, sarawat and tine coming out to sarawat’s dad was SUCH a BEAUTIFUL scene in the novel but we never got it on the show. why? bc it was from sarawat’s perspective, not tine’s. another really nice scene, is the cinema scene where they held hands, but on the show we got a different version of it, where instead, they talked about a happy or tragic ending before tine decides to accept being wat’s boyfriend and they hug (i like that scene though, purely bc we got to see win’s crying which was !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMAZING! and the hug was SUPER sweet!).

but yeah, it .... idk. seeing bright in that reaction video in some moments Hurt. bc .... there was so much he wanted to say but he kept it in. and he’d just glance and sigh and look down or away bc he GETS sarawat in a way i think nobody else does. and so ..... had the show had more time, or was able to cut out some scenes and replace them with other and rewrite bits, we could have gotten sarawat’s perspective, and not had the show completely butcher sarawat’s image in ep 12 the way they did, only for them to then have less than one episode, a finale no less, to save his face again, whilst also tying up every other plot at the same time.

like, bright has SO MUCH to offer as sarawat. and bright says he doesnt know about a season 2 (yet), but, ya know, if we ever got to see tine and sarawat again, i kinda wish they allow bright more freedom - bc he understands his character a lot more better than the writers do, i feel. he gets sarawat on soul deep level. so i just wish they’d give bright more freedom to be sarawat. and i have no doubt that, if that had been the case, we would have gotten a LOT more physical intimacy between tine and sarawat. i’m not mad about the lack of it, but, i’m assuming that bright would have really made sarawat be a lot more physical with tine. but at the same time, i agree with bright when he said that tine and wat are people who show their affections to one another in private - which is why i am SO ...... upset that we never got to see tine and wat ALONE in the one year later scene, bc, like i said, they WOULD have been a LOT LOT LOT more intimate then. but they weren’t alone. so they weren’t intimate. which. yeah.

but at the same time, ya know, bright’s so .... like. he gets where the hurt for tine stems from. just like how he gets sarawat’s character, he gets tine’s too. but like he said, he’s lived and breathed wat since day one - and so, i think he just really wanted a chance to explain everything from sarawat’s point of view. he really didn’t need to apologise at all, and yet he did, on behalf of wat hurting tine.

so whilst i know its just said that oh ya know bright should just write the whole of s2, i kinda wish, if we were to get one, that they writers would sit down and LISTEN to bright and win and take some input of theirs in, since, they’re the ones who KNOW their characters and play them.

but yeah, bright’s mind. his intellect. his knowing of sarawat ............. it will never cease to amaze to me just how dedicated he was at an emotional and psychological level to play sarawat.

i have a rough draft right now. i think i have about 3 chapters left. i don’t want to overshadow @sof-gigante‘s fic until they’re done so i don’t accidentally spill any beans and of course i want to do some revisions especially since i’m involving more stuff from book canon BUT

i will be shouting this from the mountain tops as soon as i can. i PROMISE. in the mean time!! enjoy this snippet!!

this is the prologue to what WILL be a heavy angst, M rated fic. be warned lol

There are five things he can never forget.

One.

The feel of sand. The grit underneath his nails, in his eyes when the wind picks up, shaking out his hair, between his teeth.

If you get caught in a storm, the sand’s been known to strip skin from bone, leaving only husks for the scavengers to feast on.

Sand is the very nature of Tatooine. It’s always tracked into his home, slips between his sheets if he’s not careful. A constant companion scrubbing his skin raw to remind him of the hostile nature of his planet, like he was a cancer and Tatooine was doing everything it could to be rid of him.

Two.

The heat of a brand. The immediate heat and the intense painpainpain! Get it off! Take it off!

Scars pull and tug as they heal.

Weeks. Weeks. It took weeks. For the burn to scab and bubble over. For the bleeding to cease. For the skin to harden and toughen into a shape.

Diamond.

Star.

Diamond.

Star.

Raised edges he could feel and drift a finger along. He couldn’t see it. Why should he? Why should a slave be able to see something that only matters to its masters?

Three.

The smell of dilarium oil. The fumes made him sick at first.

Nausea. Headaches. Dizzy spells.

“You’ll get over it.”

“Back in line.”

“Pick yourself back up.”

His stomach still churns whenever he gets a whiff of it, sending him back to a time when he was far too young, far too vulnerable to be working the drills, welding shut the barrels to be sold off world, a place he would never see, never be a part of, wasting away until his remains were swept away under the shifting dunes.

Four.

The taste of water.

The precious lifeblood of the planet, often sucked from the dry air, collected by the vapours and distilled into liquid. If you were lucky enough, you had access to a well, drilled deep into the planet’s crust where some caverns full of it could be found if they weren’t already well protected by the Tuskens.

To watch it pour into the sand, soaked up in an instant, gone.

“No food or water. Three days.”

A promise.

No. Scratch that.

A punishment.

Dehydration hits you quickly under the heat of Tatooine’s twin suns. It hits fast and hard. It makes your lips crack and bleed. It takes your voice. And the pressure builds behind your eyes, pounding with each beat of your heart, and then—

A hand on his shoulder. A canteen of water in the other.

This time—a promise.

But for a price, with a leering smile above him, always above him.

And the water, after two days, never tasted so good.

Five.

The sound of his name.

No one is born into this universe without being given a name. Maybe there are some cultures, some civilizations that allow you to choose a name, but he has yet to meet any.

But his name came to him in pieces, an identity he forged to rewrite the one he’d been given and forced into since birth.

Many would remark how the figure Cobb Vanth rose up, appearing out of nowhere and helping to galvanize the resistance movement on Tatooine against the Empire. He prefers it that way.

For people to come up to him and say Cobb, Vanth, Marshal.

A strong name. A confident name. A name associated with someone who has one of the quickest draws this side of Mos Eisley.

No one needs to know where Cobb Vanth originated from. He has the scars to prove his story.

All they need to know is that he is Cobb Vanth, and he is not the child, not the slave he once was.

Graystripe’s Vow

A quick overview, chapter summaries.

31 chapters + prologue + epilogue + manga

Prologue - FQ

BloodClan is planning on getting revenge on Firestar’s Quest era ThunderClan. They are lead by a new leader, Fury.

Gremlin is worried about this, since she is pregnant and doesn’t want to hurt her kits.

Chapter 1 - TBC

Graystripe is realizing he’s old.

Lionblaze looks like Sandstorm, Spotfur has Frostfur’s face, (Frostfur is Ravenpaw’s sibling.)

Thriftear, Thornclaw, Snaptooth, Flywhisker and others disrespect Squirrelflight because she’s not technically leader.

Squirrelflight talks with Graystripe about being deputy/leader. “You can say it, Graystripe. In many ways, Firestar’s ThunderClan was better... at least things seemed easier.”

Graystripe worries about StarClan returning.

Chapter 2 - TBC

Graystripe dreams about being in the (lake) forest with Firestar. The dream turns and Graystripe feels dread. Graystripe imagines Millie and “talks” it out with her. (...) Graystripe asks Brackenfur if “this is the same ThunderClan as Firestar’s ThunderClan.” Brackenfur says it is.

Plumstone and Thriftear get into a fight. They both call Graystripe (and StarClan) an “out-of-date boomer” (exact quote /j) then Thornclaw, Twigbranch and Lionblaze argue about if Squirrelflight is leader or deputy. Bumblestripe, and then Bristlefrost try to break up the fight but fail. Squirrelflight ends up begging them to stop :(

Flipclaw suggests they rewrite the warrior code while StarClan is gone. The Clan flips out and Flipclaw then says maybe he wants to spend some time outside of the Clan. Snaptooth agrees, Flywhisker agrees, and Thornclaw agrees.

Graystripe decides to “wander” with them. Squirrelflight feels betrayed. She gives them a moon to return.

Chapter 3 - FQ

Graystripe ponders life. Willowpelt, his mother, has died. (...) He overhears Brightheart and Ferncloud doubting the purpose of Firestar’s Quest. (not the book, just why Firestar left.) Ashfur and Cloudtail also think Firestar left to live as a kittypet. Mousefur trusts that Firestar isn’t a kittypet, but wants to know where he is.

Cinderpelt yells at Ashfur. (...)

Brambleclaw, Thornclaw and Brackenfur bring Graystripe a dead rabbit with WindClan scent found on their territory (near fourtrees.) Graystripe decides to do nothing about this but increase border patrols, much to the chagrin of the Clan.

Graystripe goes to sleep with troubled thoughts, and is awoken by somebody screaming.

Chapter 4 - TBC

Graystripe and the boys decide to stop and hunt while they are still in the territory. Hawkwing and a SkyClan patrol appear. Snaptooth spills the beans and embarresses Graystripe and the others.

Flywhisker asks if Graystripe wants to rest while they hunt, but he goes hunting anyways. He catches a rabbit. Graystripe contemplates returning to the old forest.

The other warriors talk about how much easier it is to hunt for four. Flipclaw tells Flywhisker that if she were to have kits he’d make sure she’s wellfed. Flywhisker tells him she isn’t interested. He tries again but she shoots him down.

Snaptooth asks what they will do now. Flywhisker wonders what it would be like to be a kittypet. Thornclaw gets sick of this and leaves.

Graystripe tells the others that he wants to visit his son, Stormfur. He hopes that by visiting his “past” he can understand his future.

Chapter 5 - FQ

The screaming was Brightheart. She is giving birth. Graystripe is terrified that she will die like Silverstream. Cloudtail gathers herbs for Cinderpelt.

Graystripe welcomes the kit into ThunderClan and pats himself on the back for doing nothing. Then he realizes that Firestar would done something and not just stand around, and feels ashamed.

A few days later, Thornclaw, Sootpaw and Brambleclaw return with more proof of WindClan hunting on their territory. Ashfur says this wouldn’t be a problem if Dustpelt were deputy.

Graystripe doesn’t know what to do. Mousefur enters camp and tells him that Russetfur wants to speak with Firestar.

Chapter 6 - TBC

The others are nervous about leaving Clan territory. Graystripe has enjoyed hunting.

Suddenly, dogs. They climb trees and a human comes and takes the dogs away.

Later that day, Graystripe tells them that he wants to go now. Flywhisker, Snaptooth and Flipclaw tell him he can go without them.

Flipclaw changes his mind and comes with Graystripe.

Chapter 7 - FQ

Russetfur and Rowanclaw demand to speak with Firestar. Graystripe tells them that Firestar is busy, so they can speak with him instead. Turns out they’ve scented BloodClan on Clan territory. ThunderClan overhears this and instantly smack-talks ShadowClan. (Rowanclaw’s pronouns are switching paragraph to paragraph. *EDIT: I might just be bad at reading... thanks for telling me lol!)

Graystripe tells his Clan that he thinks BloodClan are the ones pretending to be WindClan and causing trouble. Cinderpelt agrees.

Graystripe, Dustpelt and Brambleclaw go to inspect the BloodClan smell, but get jumped by BloodClan troopers. Graystripe sees Gremlin and knows she’s fit to burst.

Fury tells them that she knows that Firestar is gone. BloodClan attacks and defeats Graystripe. They throw him under a fence to get eaten by a dog. The dog is locked in a house, so he survives.

Graystripe heads back to the forest, but encounters Gremlin. She lets him escape. This confuses Graystripe.

Chapter 8 - TBC

Graystripe and Flipclaw make it to the Tribe’s territory. Flipclaw is excited to tell his littermates about this. They encounter two Tribe cats, Moon Shining on Water and Thorn that Grows in Clef.

Graystripe and Stormfur have a sweet reunion for two sentences. Graystripe meets the kits. Flipclaw hits it off with Feather. They are very VERY good friends, (probably a bit more than friends.)

Stoneteller mentions a rogue who had come around asking for Clan cats.

Chapter 9 - TBC

Graystripe tells Stoneteller about all the Bramblestar and ThunderClan problems. Stoneteller has sensed a shadow over the Clans. He tells Graystripe that Graystripe still has a long journey ahead. Graystripe goes to sleep.

A tribe cat tells Stoneteller that the boys Flipclaw and Feather were out hunting, but got trapped in a landslide. Graystripe goes with Stoneteller to help.

Feather manages to get out, but Flipclaw is still stuck. It takes all day, but they get Flipclaw out. Flipclaw’s leg is dislocated.

Graystripe sees Feathertail standing on a shiny rock, and takes it as a sign that he must find the moonstone.

Chapter 10 - FQ

Graystripe returns to camp. He asks Dustpelt if he knows that Ashfur wants him to be deputy. Dustpelt is surprised.

Ashfur talks smack about Graystripe getting beat up by BloodClan (same energy as “im built different”) Brambleclaw reminds him that there were too many BloodClan cats for two and a half warriors to fight.

The next day Graystripe tells ThunderClan they must prepare for BloodClan again.

Chapter 11 - TBC

Graystripe wants to leave the tribe immediately. Stormfur asks why he doesn’t just stay forever. Graystripe considers it, but still wants to go to the moonstone.

Flipclaw is still recovering. Graystripe tells him about the moonstone, and Flipclaw tells Graystripe that he wants to go home. They part ways.

Graystripe thinks about Silverstream and Millie again. He hunts a mouse and spots Highstones. He nearly gets hit on the Thunderpath.

Chapter 12 - FQ

Still worried about BloodClan, Graystripe is startled by Shrewkit and Spiderkit playing. ThunderClan is on edge. Graystripe decides now is a good time to tell the other Clans that BloodClan is back.

Graystripe takes Cloudtail and Rainpaw to WindClan. Tallstar believes Graystripe about BloodClan and sends Firestar his well-wishes. They go to RiverClan and meet Stormfur. Leopardstar is angry about BloodClan, and sceptical about Firestar.

Stormfur and Feathertail escort them off RiverClan territory.

Chapter 13 - TBC

Graystripe makes it to Highstones. He thinks about visiting Barley.

An owl scares him, and then a pack of monsters scare him. He escapes and hides in a bush. A fat kittypet stumbles upon him, but leaves to get dinner. Graystripe feels lost.

Graystripe dreams about Millie’s death. He wakes up and smells the river. He sees sunningrocks.

Graystripe gets attacked by a cat.

Chapter 14 - FQ

It’s the gathering. Graystripe is nervous about BloodClan still being in the forest.

Leopardstar and Blackstar are sceptical about Firestar’s whereabouts. She announces that there was a fox on their territory, but that *Mistyfoot chased it off.

The leaders agree to share news of BloodClan with each other throughout the moon.

Graystripe talks with Stormfur and Feathertail, similar to what he says to them in A Shadow in RiverClan (that they are welcome in ThunderClan.)

Chapter 15 - TBC

Graystripe realizes the kittypet who attacked him is not alone. There are five others. They introduce themselves as WarriorClan! Monkeystar, Bugeater, Fireface, Bigteeth, Clawwhistle, and Chester. They are larping as clan cats during the day, and returning to their humans at night.

Smudge is still alive, and has told the kittypets all about the warriors. They ask if Firestar is with him. Graystripe says he isn’t, but that he is a real warrior. Monkeystar asks him to prove it by fighting her, and he wins.

Graystripe decides to stay with WarriorClan for a little bit, and teaches them how to hunt.

Near sunset, Graystripe decides to leave WarriorClan. Monkeystar bids him farewell. Graystripe finds Four Trees, and is distressed about its destruction.

Chapter 16 - FQ

Graystripe is hunting when he hears someone in the bushes. It’s Gremlin. She wants to give birth to her kits somewhere safe. She says that ThunderClan is the only place she’d want to have her kits. She wants her and her brother to be safe too.

Brackenfur appears and says that they can’t trust Gremlin. Graystripe and him argue a bit.

Graystripe goes home and tells Cinderpelt about Gremlin. Cinderpelt decides to go to the moonstone and ask StarClan.

Chapter 17 - TBC

Still trying to get out of the twoleg place, Graystripe finally gets to the exit. He feels like he’s being followed, and lo and behold WarriorClan wants to see the moonstone.

Graystripe tells them that they can just wait outside for him. They agree and they all set off. When they are closer, they smell a stranger!

WarriorClan is ready for a fight, but the stranger tells Graystripe that they are Gremlin’s kit, and that he had vowed to help Gremlin no matter what. They asked if he would help them too.

Chapter 18 - FQ

Graystripe is going with Cinderpelt to the moonstone. He thinks about Gremlin while he waits outside.

Graystripe falls asleep and dreams about Firestar. Firestar turns into Fury and tells him to wake up. Cinderpelt is back and tells Graystripe that he’s got to make his own decision, and to beware the snake bite.

Graystripe does not find this encouraging.

Chapter 19 - TBC

The stranger, Fang, tells Graystripe that he escaped from an abusive twoleg’s den and wants to go back to get his mate. His mate, Daffodil, is sick and might die (like Gremlin did) in this twoleg’s house.

Graystripe agrees to help but first he wants to go to the moonstone. Bigteeth, Bugeater, Fireface and Chester head back to their humans.

Graystripe enters Mothermouth and asks StarClan to forgive him from trespassing and asks for help.

Lightning strikes!

Chapter 20 - FQ

Graystripe meets with Gremlin at Smudge’s house. Cinderpelt tells Gremlin that one of her kits is upside-down, and that the birth might be hard.

Fury drops by and asks Smudge if he wants to join BloodClan. He stands his ground, and she tells Gremlin that there will be a Clan meeting.

Graystripe calls a Clan meeting himself and tells ThunderClan about Gremlin. The Clan is divided about her, but Cinderpelt helps convince them that Gremlin needs their help.

Ashfur loudly objects, but Cinderpelt helps convince the Clan that Gremlin needs their help and means no harm.

Chapter 21 - TBC

Lightning struck the moonstone and destroyed. Graystripe is terrified. He runs back to Monkeystar, Clawwhistle and Fang and tells them. Monkeystar suggests they go to Barley.

Fang asks if Graystripe is his father. Graystripe tells him no, but that he is proud of him nonetheless. Fang is disappointed.

Barley is shocked that Graystripe is still alive. Barley is very old, and doesn’t move much. Monkeystar and Clawwhistle hunt a mouse for him.

Graystripe asks Barley what he should do, and Barley suggests he sleep on it. Before he sleeps, he hears Fang ask if Barley knew Gremlin.

Chapter 22 - FQ

Back at Smudge’s house, Gremlin and Graystripe have a meet up again.

Gremlin tells Graystripe that BloodClan will attack in two days, when the camp is at its weakest (all the patrols are out and the patrols who have returned are already tired.)

Chapter 23 - TBC

Graystripe spends the day listening to Barley telling Fang about Gremlin. They go to sleep, but Fang seems unhappy.

Fang tells Graystripe that Gremlin died in the twoleg den that he had escaped from. Fang wants to leave now and free all the other cats too.

Chapter 24 - TBC

They head out. WarriorClan wants to come with, but Graystripe says it’s too dangerous. He convinces them to stay with Barley.

Graystripe enters the house through a window. The house is unkept, and all the cats are starving. It’s not great. The twoleg is very very old.

The twoleg shuts the window while he tries to figure out an escape route.

Chapter 25 - TBC

Graystripe speaks with the cats. He learns that Fang used to be named Honeysuckle.

The cats try to come up with ideas of how to escape. The twoleg’s favorite cat, Petunia, shoots down the idea of attacking the twoleg.

They make a plan to prop open a door, but it fails. Graystripe feels hopeless.

Chapter 26 - FQ

Graystripe tries to orchestrate a normal day while preparing for a battle with BloodClan. He sends the elders Goldenflower and Frostfur on a “patrol” near twoleg place to scout out BloodClan and the apprentices to the training hollow where they can avoid the battle.

Fury enters camp and the battle begins. The apprentices disobey and try to fight BloodClan.

Cinderpelt tries to sneak Gremlin out of the fighting, but is spotted by Fury. Snake and Ice try to stop her, and Scraps tries to stop them. Scraps dies.

Graystripes is about to kill Snake when Fury yells at him to stop. She threatens to kill Gremlin, and the other cats stop fighting too.

Chapter 27 - FQ

Graystripe notices that Fury has been fatally wounded, and tells her if they leave the Clans alone, Cinderpelt can treat her wound. Fury refuses, but starts dying. Fury then decides she wants to live, and ThunderClan wins.

ThunderClan finally apologizes for not trusting Graystripe. Graystripe talks to Cinderpelt about StarClan’s message, then goes and visits Gremlin. Gremlin is mourning Scraps, and decides that being in a Clan is too violent for her.

Gremlin decides to become a kittypet, so Graystripe vows to always help Gremlin if she asks. (thats the name of the book fellas we did it)

Chapter 28 - TBC

Graystripe speaks with Daffodil, Fang’s mate. She is very weak. He is worried that Fang has abandoned them.

Later, Fang returns with WarriorClan, and WarriorClan pushes up on a loose board. The kittypets are able to escape. Petunia wants to stay.

A mail man arrives and calls animal control. The cats leave the house but don’t go far. The older cats want to go and get captured, and Daffodil does too.

The elderly human is taken away in an ambulance, and Petunia wants to stay at the house until she returns. Graystripe convinces her she can still wait, but she has to escape the humans first.

Fang is sad that Daffodil is gone, and Graystripe has no idea how to comfort him.

Chapter 29 - TBC

Graystripe comforts Fang.

The escaped cats decide to part ways, either becoming loners, going off to find human caretakers, or joining WarriorClan (and moving to Barley’s barn.)

Graystripe is ready to retire to the elder’s den again. He realizes that it is possible for Clans to exist without StarClan, like WarriorClan has and is. Fang is upset and doesn’t want him to leave.

Graystripe asks Petunia to be the medicine cat, and encourages her to take on an apprentice in case her human ever comes back. WarriorClan feels like a real Clan now (to Graystripe and Fang.)

Graystripe prepares to leave.

Chapter 30 - FQ

ThunderClan is back to normal. Firestar is back!

Graystripe tells Firestar that he is not fit to lead, and that he is happy just being deputy. Firestar is just happy to be back.

Chapter 31 - TBC

Graystripe sleeps in Barley’s barn and tells him what happened. Barley is glad the cats escaped, and that they are welcome in his barn.

Graystripe is spotted by a hunting patrol and Stormfur greets him. He tells Stormfur that he is returning to ThunderClan, because he’s realized he doesn’t need StarClan to tell him that ThunderClan has changed. He has come to terms with it.

Stormfur is frustrated that Graystripe won’t stay, but calms down and enjoys the rest of the evening with his father for the last time.

Graystripe makes it to the lake, and is excited to be back in the home he loves.

Epilogue - FQ

It’s the gathering. All the Clans are surprised that Firestar is there. Firestar announces BloodClan’s second defeat, and the Clans chant Graystripe’s name.

Manga - TBC

A moon later. Monkeystar says that WarriorClan is thriving, but that she is insecure about her leadership skills. Fang is a good deputy, but Petunia keeps leaving for days.

Monkeystar decides to go and find Petunia. She, Bugeater, Lily and Clawwhistle travel to find the human’s house. They get attacked by kittypets, and are chased off. They find Petunia at the human’s house, rundown and abandoned.

Petunia doesn’t want to leave the house behind, but knows in her heart that her human will not return. Lily convinces Petunia to come home, albeit regretfully.

Monkeystar comes up with a plan to help Petunia move on. She takes Petunia to the shattered the moonstone.

Petunia returns joyfully. Gremlin’s ghost had appeared to her, and tells her that the old human is dead but at peace. Gremlin encourages Petunia by telling her that her Clanmates need her.

The patrol returns to WarriorClan, reinvigorated.
