son hyunwoo & im changkyun - minconceptions
Tumblr media
Pairing: Im Changkyun x Reader, Son Hyunwoo x Reader | Genre: angst | Warnings: open relationship, sexual comments, slight suggestiveness | WC: 1.5k
Request:  I really hope this will be written. But I understand if you don’t want to. Thank you! Monsta X idol fic / College AU fic where reader is in an open relationship with Shownu and Changkyun has a crush on the reader. The reader knows it plays Changkyun, like tries to seduce him into doing stuff. But Changkyun does not feel comfortable giving into the temptations because he feels like it’s betraying Shownu. (Filled with angst pleaseee)
Tumblr media
You had been dating Shownu for quite a few years now. You loved each other dearly and were happy together. For most, it was easy to tell how smitten you were over him. The way your eyes lit up just at the mention of his name or the wide smile when he was walking towards you. It was no secret you two were sickeningly in love. For most—your friends included—your relationship was a little unconventional.
Though, since quite the beginning of your relationship, the two of you agreed on being in an open relationship. It wasn’t that you two were bored of each other or anything, that was definitely not the case. It was just something that you two had mutually agreed on, you wanted to both experience things and have some fun, as long as there were set boundaries with being honest and communicative. At the end of the day, Shownu constantly reminded you that with his teasing nature that ‘sharing is caring.” Thankfully, your friends were more than supportive of all your decisions, they just didn’t fully understand why. Honestly, there was no way to make them understand unless they were in the same situation.
It just worked for the two of you
It wasn’t as if you two were with a different person every day and night. Quite the contrary. You two only went after another person if you truly had feelings with them and wanted to make something of it. Of course, they had to be comfortable with your relationship and if they weren’t, then there was nothing to be done. It wasn’t held against anyone. So when you first met Shownu’s friends, Changkyun had immediately caught your eye. His almost shoulder-length raven black hair parted down the middle, his dark eyes always seemed to be curious about something.
Don’t even get you started on when he would wear tight fitting shirts or a tank top. It was clear that he and Shownu were gym buddies. He was a quiet boy, only a few years younger than you. He didn’t say much, but he listened attentively. He was smart and snarky; loved to make all of you laugh, and most importantly, he knew when to be serious and when he needed to just listen. It was hard not to develop a small crush on him.
“I think I like Changkyun-ie,” You blurted out one night at dinner. Shownu raised a brow and chuckled, slurping up his noodles.
“I’m not surprised. He’s pretty popular with the ladies.”
“I can see why,” You said dramatically, “The hair, the inquisitive eyes, the muscles.”
Shownu chuckled at you and patted your knee, “Go for it baby, maybe he likes you too,” It was then you decided that Changkyun was going to be yours—if he wanted to. You just hoped it wouldn’t make things awkward.
Over the course of the next few weeks, you were bound and determined to make Changkyun notice you in any way besides just a friend. Your skirts and shorts were a little shorter, showing off your tanned and toned legs. Your shirts were a little more low cut, but not too much. Changkyun may be smart and a gentleman, but he was still a boy. Every time you’d see him sneaking a glance when you would lean over just a little too far or the way his eyes would trail up and down your figure when you would walk into the room made the coil in your stomach tighten.
Then came the constant teasing and flirting, initiated by you of course. It was clear that Changkyun wouldn’t do it. Shownu was older than him and one of his best friends. He probably felt awkward about being attracted to his girlfriend.
“Changkyun-ie,” You whined cutely, wrapping around his arm, placing your cheek on his shoulder and batting your eyelashes at him. He gulped and sent you a tense smile, “Why are your cheeks so red? Are you feeling feverish?”
You leaned towards him, placing your cheek on his forehead. You heard his breath hitch and you smirked. Shownu had told you the favorite scent that Changkyun liked and you had made sure to wear that today.
“I-I’m fine,” He said, pulling away and averting his gaze.
You giggled, propping your elbows on to the plastic table and resting your chin on your hands, “You’re cute when you’re flustered. I wonder how you would look with me on top of you.”
He choked on the water he was sipping, eyes wide and you only grinned and gently patted his back, lightly scraping your nails over his shirt. You felt him shiver a little, “Y-you need to stop d-doing that,” He stuttered, hands gripping the edge of the table. You only giggled and stopped. The poor boy was excited and by the way the outline in his tight-fitting jeans looked, he was very excited.
He quickly made an excuse about needing to meet with a professor and left. Shownu rolled his eyes at you with a smirk, “You can’t be so direct with him, love. He’s shy,” You only shrugged, settling into his side. You were satisfied with today. It was one step closer.
The next few days Changkyun seemed to avoid you at any costs. You thought it was cute and funny considering. However, he was over at your shared apartment waiting for Shownu right now. The two were supposed to be going to the gym. You had just come back from a jog, your hair tied up in a ponytail, booty shorts and sports bra. You truly had no idea Changkyun was waiting back at your home for Shownu, “He must be running late, he’s usually home by now,” You said, wiping your face from the beads of sweat.
Changkyun only hummed, refusing to meet your eyes. You grinned again, sitting down next to him and placing a hand on his knee. He jumped a little and you giggled at his flustered state.
“Why are you so jumpy?” He only shook his head, chewing on his bottom lip. “You know, I’m a little hurt you’ve been avoiding me, Kyun. I thought we were friends,” You teased and he sighed, running his fingers through his black locks.
“I’m sorry, Y/N. It’s just—I like you.”
“Kiss me then,” You said and in seconds his mouth was pressed up against yours. Seconds after you slid your tongue into his mouth and rolled over to straddle his lap. His hands tightened around your waist and you let out a small moan when you felt his hardened length rub against your needy core.
That seemed to snap Changkyun out of whatever had taken over him and he immediately pushed you off, standing up and furiously wiping his hands over his mouth.
Ouch. That hurt a little.
“Are you okay?” You asked and he shook his head.
“No! You’re dating my best friend, Y/N! I just kissed you! That’s not okay! Not at all!” His voice was rising and he was now pacing back and forth.
You frowned again, reaching out to grab his wrist. He jerked back, glaring down at you, “Don’t touch me.”
“Changkyun,” You said calmly, “It’s alright. You know we’re in an open relationship. Shownu knows that I like you, he actually likes you too. So you did nothing wrong, you haven’t betrayed him or anything. Trust me.”
He snorted and shook his head at you, “I don’t care if he’s okay with it or not! It’s not right for me to do this! He’s my best friend. He might like sharing, but I don’t.”
You didn’t know what to say. You knew your friends didn’t understand the nature of yours and Shownu’s relationship. You understood that they didn’t understand and that was okay, but this seemed like more than just being confused about your relationship status.
This sounded like Changkyun was repulsed by it, by the idea.
“I don’t think we should hang around anymore for a while. Tell Shownu I’ll meet him at the gym,” Changkyun muttered, walking out. You were still in shock. Still unsure of what exactly just happened.
You just hoped that Shownu would talk to him and that things would settle down, but they didn’t. Changkyun wouldn’t even look at you now. When you came into the room, he’d leave it. If you talked, he’d only respond if he absolutely needed to. If you were hanging out with the whole group, he avoided you and acted like you didn’t exist. He wouldn’t answer your texts or calls and you figured he had blocked you. You wanted to apologize. Shownu had only said that Changkyun was just angry at himself even though Shownu tried to explain the whole situation.
But a few months down the line, when you thought everything would finally be back to normal, it wasn’t. Changkyun still refused to acknowledge your existence. It was starting to affect the group, so you stopped hanging around the group if you knew Changkyun was going to be there. Changkyun was always a good friend to you. You wanted that friendship back. You really, truly did. On the other hand, it seemed like Changkyun didn’t and he made that extremely obvious.
You truly don’t believe this was ever going to go away. You’d lost a friend, a great friend, all because of an unnecessary misconception of a relationship

I have a marvel request. If you don't mind, may I ask for a fic about Peter's twin who survived the blip, how they handled the five years without their twin? Maybe they're a hero? Any gender is good! And maybe a little reunion when everyone who was blipped returned between the twin and May and Peter?
GUYS THIS IS MY FIRST REQUEST IM SO EXCITED
The Future’s Not Ours to See
Warnings: Angst, Crying
Word Count: 1,692
When the ship landed and you stood amongst what was left of the Avengers, you felt hopeful.
You felt a sense of hope that your dorky twin brother would come stumbling down the stairs and say something dumb like, “Star Wars made space seem less terrifying” and you would punch him in the arm for scaring you and hug him with all of your super strength.
So when Tony and a mysterious blue woman came trudging off the ship, you were beginning to feel that hope turn into horror and sadness.
When Tony told you and Steve that he had ‘lost the kid’, you fell to your knees.
You expected yourself to scream and cry, hell, everyone did, but you just sat there and stared at the grass wondering where you went wrong.
Tony hugged you on the ground and kept apologizing for what had happened, saying he would trade his life for Peter’s if he could.
You kept thinking that you would do the same.
***
After mourning for another hour or so, Steve picked you up and carried you inside, your legs not being able to hold you up at the moment. Normally you’d be flipping out and bragging to Peter about how Captain America is carrying you like a princess.
Now you felt like an empty paper lunch bag, tearing at the bottom from an invisible weight.
You sit in one of the chairs spread around the table, listening to Natasha explain how Thanos did what he said he would and watched as pictures of those who had vanished slowly fade in and out.
When Peter’s popped up, you buried your head in your hands and tried to keep quiet.
Everyone continued to talk about how to reverse everything. You wanted to joke about how no one has ever listened to Que Sera Sera, but that thought was crushed by the title wave of negative emotions in record time.
Even as the team planned and Tony blew up at Steve, you stared into space.
Everyone jokes that twins are a half of one another and that they complete each other. Sure, you and Peter fought sometimes and were mean to each other over things both big and small, but you honestly felt like you were only half alive. Your brother is gone.
What ever will be will be.
***
When the team returned with the news about Thanos and their backfired plan, you felt the same as you had when you found out Peter was initially gone.
You held no hope for the Avengers getting the stones and redoing what that psychopath had done.
Sometimes even the best have to lose.
You half expected them to try and think of something else to do. After all, they’re the Avengers and they don’t take no for an answer.
But it seemed like their journey through the stars had sucked all hope and emotion out of the group and left shells of people behind.
Everyone seemed to get the memo that what was happening was just how it was gonna be, some later than others, and one by one the once perky and hopeful bunch disbanded off to try and rebuild from the rubble or just wallow in it instead.
***
Aunt May had picked you up after you called from the compound. She was too choked up to respond, but you managed to hear that she was coming to bring you home.
“Oh my gosh!”
When she got out of the car, she left the door open and launched herself into you for the strongest hug she could muster. Everything that you needed to say and that she couldn’t convey was said through that embrace.
“Hey May,” you buried you head in the crook of her neck. “I’m home.”
*Five Years Later*
You had gone through all the emotions and processing you needed after what has now been labeled ‘The Blip’...almost. Only took half a decade.
You had gotten over the fact that you should’ve gone on that spaceship with Peter rather than sit on that dumb lamppost nearby and should’ve been on Titan with him instead of panicking on Earth.
In his absence, you became the new Spider-Man. You found an old suit of his, AI and everything, and did patrols like he did. You even knew his old routes and advice he’d given you when he would ramble after a night of crime stopping.
When you initially got your powers along with your twin, you didn’t want to have to use them because being a superhero and dealing with the responsibility that comes with it wasn’t something you wanted at the time. Maybe you’re doing it now to honor your brother. You don’t even know anymore.
You had to adjust to your powers as well as the webshooters and the suit as you had never used your abilities much before, save mundane tasks like getting a snack without getting caught by May.
Once you got the hang of it, you went around and tried to help. It was less action and more basic work like helping a family get food or getting a cat out of a tree.
Every time you donned that mask, you wore it with pride as well as a weight. You had to live up to Peter.
***
When you got called to the compound, you were confused to say the least. Mr. Stark, as you remembered Peter calling him, came to your apartment to let you know that they had a way to get everyone back.
At first, you laughed and offered him a cookie you had made, saying if he needed someone to talk to, you’d listen.
After realizing he wasn’t going through a rough patch, talking and running through logistics, you began to realize this was a chance that you couldn’t pass up.
You told May, and while she was against you going, she knew that you would be devastated if you didn’t.
So you and Mr. Stark arrived at the compound a few hours later and were met by a team of somewhat optimistic heroes.
***
You couldn’t breath.
You tried sucking in air but got dust instead. Your coughs echoed off the concrete.
The weight of the collapsed compound was crushing you down and you were afraid.
One minute you think all life has been restored and the next an alien ship is launching missiles at you.
You tried calling out, pushing yourself up and clawing at metal sheets, but nothing seemed to work.
Just as you were ready to accept that you would die here, Bruce came stomping over calling your name.
“I’m here! B-Bruce I’m here!”
He quickly ran to you and threw what was pinning you down off to the side like it weighed no more than a cardboard box.
“Hey, are you okay?”
You coughed and nodded as he helped you up.
You didn’t like what you saw.
The compound was leveled. The once lush, green surrounding area was scorched with dust covering the sun and sky. Trees burnt black had flickers of orange embers and craters splotched the land.
You could hear yelling through the comms but couldn’t listen as you took in the sight around you.
Bruce quickly picked you up with his good hand and set you on his shoulder.
“Hang on kid!”
He raced over to where Cap said he was fighting.
Seeing him fight Thanos by himself was terrifying. Seeing him wielding Thor’s mighty hammer quelled the fear a bit, but you were still afraid for him.
You attempted to jump off of the giant green man’s shoulder only for him to pull you back and shake his head with a scared look.
“Bruce I can’t sit here while he fights an all powerful titan by himself!” You try fighting his grip again.
“Kid, running in there is suicide.”
“So is fighting Thanos alon-”
A loud roar rang through the sky as creatures began appearing. An army rallied behind Thanos. Hundreds upon hundreds of aliens lined behind him, each willing to die for his insane cause.
Before them stood one man, tightening a broken shield on his arm, ready to fight.
***
The portals had opened, so many ready to engage in a fight that would determine the fate of all life, and the battle began at Steve’s battle cry.
Chaos erupted as the two sides clashed. You webbed up as many mindless space gremlins and activated instant kill for the first time, piercing several of the creatures through the heart before repeating, all while looking around in amazement at the array of allies around you.
Pegasi flying across the sky, magic shields being placed in front of people, aliens and creatures you’d never even seen.
He would love this.
***
When you saw Peter land with the glove and Captain Marvel take off with it, you sprinted to him and skid on your knees in front of him.
“Peter?”
He had blood on his face, covered in dirt and sweat with messy hair and a terrified expression and you made sure to commit every detail and curve to memory.
“H-Hey. Long time no-”
You slammed into him and began to cry into his shoulder. Nothings else mattered except that your brother was in your arms and he was safe.
“If y-you ever pull anything like this again, I will melt your legos into a sword and stab you.” Your voice trembled with sobs.
“I missed you too.”
You both laughed and cried as you clung to each other for dear life.
***
After the battle, you took Peter back to May and watched as she crushed Peter in her arms and refused to let go.
She eventually grabbed you and smushed you into the hug as well, keeping her family in her arms and not daring to waste a second.
You all attended Tony’s funeral. Both you and Peter were trying to keep it together and failing miserably.
Once the service concluded, you all went back to the apartment and laid on the floor. No one said anything because no one had to.
You were back together and that needed no words.

Summary: Logan is sleep deprived. How long can he keep it a secret?
Pairings: Platonic CALM/LAMP
Trigger Warnings: Sleep deprivation, Sensory overload, Crying
Other Tags: Fluff
Words: 2246
Ao3: Here
Virgil was the first to notice. It was more than just the ever so slightly sluggish movements he began exhibiting, too. It was the way he tried to cover up his nodding off by proceeding to pull out his phone, the lack of appetite, and most importantly, it was the quite pristine knot in his tie becoming crooked. If there was one thing Virgil was an expert in, it was sleep deprivation, and Virgil had no doubt in his mind that Logan was sleep deprived.
Arguably, Logan was far more stubborn than him. Thus, Virgil did not know how to gently bring it up to Logan without making him feel attacked. So, instead, Virgil decided to simply keep a close eye on him for now.
-
Thomas’ next video would be going into a very heavy and very serious subject matter, and he had been quite anxious about making sure he had all the facts correct. Logan had taken this to heart and began staying up later and later, making sure he was nothing short of an expert on the subject. He spent hours upon hours of sitting at his desk, skimming books, reading articles and taking notes. There was no time for sleep when he had a deadline to make.
Logan knew that the others, especially Virgil, having been created from the left side of Thomas’ brain just as himself, were far more perceptive than they let on, and he feared that they might take notice of his new little habit. It was never a matter of if, but instead a matter of when… Of course Virgil was the first to see it.
Just as Logan knew the others were quite perceptive, he was as well. Which meant that he took notice of how Virgil’s gaze began to linger on him longer than normal, or how he would stare at Logan when he thought Logan wouldn’t notice. Logan waited for the figurative other shoe to drop. He waited… and waited. He was quite perplexed when it never happened. Even when it was only Virgil and he in the room, with no indication that Patton and/or Roman would be entering any time soon, Virgil never spoke up about it. It remained one of those things where both of them knew about it but they pretended the other didn’t know. Logan carried on with his research while sitting at the dining room table, fourth coffee in hand, and Virgil remained on the couch, scrolling through Tumblr on his phone, keeping watch on Logan out of the corner of his eye.
-
It took a long time for the problem to be acknowledged. When it did get acknowledged, however, it happened at the most inconvenient of time.
Logan stood in the kitchen, leaning against the counter, while he waited for his coffee to brew. He stood with his eyes closed, inhaling and letting the smell of the coffee ground him in place, never realizing quite how relaxing and comforting the smell really was, or how at home and safe it made him feel.
A snap right next to his ear jerked him awake. When had Logan closed his eyes in the first place? He honestly couldn’t say.
“Lo.”
He couldn’t have nodded off while standing up. That would be preposterous… Right?
“Logan!”
Logan was abruptly brought back to his senses and he practically stumbled while regaining his composure. “Virgil? When did you arrive?”
Hands stuffed into his hoodie pockets, Virgil had the most unimpressed look Logan has ever seen. Something about his posture though showed that he really didn’t feel like getting into it right now. “Go to bed, Logan.”
“Virgil, I-”
“Virgil, I don’t know what you mean. Don’t even try me with that. I know. You know I know. Go to bed. Let’s call it a day.”
Logan scoffed. He did not need this. Logan did not need this. His patience has been thin lately anyway. He turned and grabbed the entire coffee pot from its stand and brushed past Virgil. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” He sunk out before Virgil could even retort back.
-
At the end of every week was “Fun Night Fridays” as Patton so loving named it. He had gotten the idea soon after Virgil was accepted, so that the four of them could grow closer as a family. They played a different game every week and sometimes multiple games in one night.
Tonight was Roman’s turn to pick. It came as a surprise to no one when he picked Mario Kart. He was second best to Logan and was determined to be number one.
“Are you ready to be left in the dust, nerd?” Roman challenged while hooking up the console.
“I don’t… I don’t see how dust has to do with this.”
Roman sighed, “Honestly, sometimes I swear you do that on purpose. Are you ready to be second best? Tonight is the night I will best you!”
“So you think,” Logan smirked. “Tonight, if I remain victorious, then you must give up on this dream of besting me.”
Roman finished setting up and sat next to Patton on the couch, controller in hand. Last time he sat next to Logan during Mario Kart, it almost ended in an all-out brawl because Roman kept nudging Logan to try and throw him off. After that incident, Logan and Roman had to have Patton and Virgil sit in between them. “Well,” Roman replied. “If we’re making this a challenge, then if I win tonight, I get to choose the game for game night on your night as well as mine for the next year!”
“An adequate trade,” Logan said. “It’s a deal.”
-
Well, Roman was beginning to panic. Once again, he was losing. He was right on Logan’s tail, so close, but for the life of him he could not catch up! “Curse you, Logan.” He gritted under his breath.
Logan was quite enjoying beating Roman as he flew through the course. He had long ago calculated the perfect angles and timing of each button for each map. It was muscle memory to him at this point.
On the third lap of Wario’s Gold Mine however, Logan’s adrenaline from the beginning of the game had begun to wear off. His movements became slow and mere feet from the finish line, the controller slipped from his hands and fell to the floor. His digital kart rolled to a complete stop exactly right behind the finish line. Roman’s kart flew right by his character and the word, “finish” appeared on Roman’s screen in bright, bold letters.
“Yes!” Roman jumped from his seat and threw his arms in the air. “I did it! I’ve finally beat you at your own game!”
Logan hadn’t even registered the loss yet. He had once again nodded off, however awakened suddenly by a heavy hand clamping down on his shoulder. “No need to cry about it, Logan. It was only a matter of time before you lost your crown.”
“Lost my crown…” Logan repeated in a confused daze. He saw the screen behind Roman and caught up with his surroundings. By this point, Patton and Virgil had crossed the finish line as well.
“I don’t think that’s very fair, Roman,” Patton spoke up. “Logan dropped his controller at the last second.”
“Yeah,” Virgil agreed. Logan was acutely aware of Virgil’s eyes burning holes into the side of his head. “Who could have predicted that?”
Roman merely shrugged. “A win is a win! It was never specified in the rules that dropping the controller disqualified the round.” He danced around the living room, bragging about his win through song, cheering about the fact that they wouldn’t have to play Scrabble for a whole year.
Logan knew Patton and Virgil were still staring at him, so he adjusted his glasses and said, “Roman is, unfortunately, correct. It was not specified in the rules and, therefore, a valid win.”
Roman’s response was to whoop and Logan excused himself to the kitchen.
It was too suspicious to make coffee at this hour in front of everyone else so, against his better judgement, Logan got a sugary but more importantly, caffeinated soda from the refrigerator, and chugged it, before returning to the living room. He would not lose again.
-
Logan was not an emotion. He was not emotional. He was not supposed to feel. But lately, he feels like he is going to figuratively fall apart at any moment now. He is just so tired, he cannot stand it anymore. He can’t go to sleep though. There is work to be done. There is research to be done. He must finish before the deadline.
Logan could barely walk, could barely register that he was walking. Somehow though, he ended up from his bedroom to the dining room table. He sat down at his chair and practically collapsed onto the table.
“Logan?” Patton asked as he set plates of food down. “Are you okay?”
Logan merely nodded in response. He no longer thought he could lift his head.
“Are you sure?” Patton had genuine concern in his voice. It was unsurprising, coming from him.
Logan used every bit of his energy to lift his head and look Patton in the eye. “I’m quite all right, Patton.”
Patton smiled gently, “Well, if you’re sure.” He went back to the kitchen to get the rest of the food.
Roman and Virgil came down shortly after and took their own seats at the table. Patton came back with a pitcher of orange juice and took his seat too.
Breakfast was a quiet time for the small family. It was waking up and preparing for the day, having one last moment of calm before the storm to come.
For Logan though, right now, with skin itchy from simply the air, it was loud. Every clank of fork against plate, sip from a cup, and thump as the cup was set back down was nothing short of loud.
Loud.
Loud, loud, loud!
It wouldn’t stop either. It just kept going. Clank, sip, thump. Clank, sip, thump. Clank, sip, THUMP. CLANK, SIP, THUMP!
Logan slammed his hand on the table. “Stop it!”
The entire table went silent. Logan closed his eyes and basked in it. No more sound. No more loud. No more… He opened his eyes. He looked at his family. They were staring right back at him. He looked at Virgil. Virgil’s eyes held nothing short of sympathy. In that moment, Logan knew Virgil that has been exactly where he currently is, and knew what he was feeling.
Patton spoke up first, voice as soft and gentle as possible. “What’s wrong, Logan?”
The words seemed to break him. Logan pulled off his glasses and buried his face in his hands. He felt his shoulders shake, his breathing quicken, and he knew that despite what he wanted, he was crying. His voice shook as he said, “I apologize for my outburst.”
“It’s okay, Logan.” Patton said patiently. “But please tell us what’s going on. We’ve… noticed that you’ve been off lately. We were hoping you’d come to us with it. I guess we should have gone to you instead.”
“Come on, Logan,” Roman spoke up. “I’ll even forfeit my win in Mario Kart if you tell us.” It was a lame attempt at a joke, however it seemed to work. Logan allowed himself a moment to breathe before wiping his face, and looking back up.
“Virgil figured it out a while ago. I think he’s been hoping that I’ll come to my senses. Apparently even Logic can lose sight of what is right.” Logan took a deep breath and replaced his glasses. “I have had almost no sleep for the past two weeks.”
Patton gasped. Logan continued before Patton could do anything else.
“Thomas’ next video deals with a very important subject matter and I must get all the facts right, and we have a deadline, there is no time for dillydallying.”
“So you’ve been over-studying.” Patton said and did not ask, putting the rest of the pieces together.
Logan nodded. Something about this situation made him choke up again and his voice cracked against his next sentence. “I’m just so tired.”
“Oh, Logan,” Patton whispered. “You’re right. The video is important… but not more important than your health. Thomas would not want you pushing yourself like this. None of us do.” He got up from his chair and crossed the table to pull Logan into a hug. “It’s okay to take breaks. In fact, it’s encouraged. How many times have you told us that sleep is vital?”
Logan knew it was a rhetorical question. It’s not like he had any energy left to answer anyway. He practically sunk into Patton’s embrace, something he would later deny ever doing.
“That’s it,” Roman said. “Forget whatever plans we originally had today. We’re getting blankets, we’re having a slumber party in the living room, and we’re going to make sure Logan goes to sleep.
“I guess it’s a good thing we’re still in our pajamas then.” Virgil added.
So, Patton gently led Logan to the couch while Roman and Virgil got the set up ready, and when it was time to lay down, Patton turned off the lights and joined their little cuddle party.
With his family surrounding him, and with the world once again silenced, and the warmth he felt, the last thing Logan said before he fell asleep was, “Thank you.”

Regarding Season 5 Legends of Tomorrow
Spoilers mostly because of two paragraphs of quotes hinting at Season 5 but it's not really spoilery.
So everyone seems a little worried about the season finale spoilers which are hinting about what season 5 may be about and while I am a little something has been niggling at me, a lot of somethings.
If you are here only for Avalance. Check #4 it's a theory that I haven't been able to shake since I read the Season 5 spoilers.
Here for potential episode count of Season 5 of Legends of Tomorrow and/or the potential reasoning behind it's midseason, next year move? Try #3
Or here for a potential theory regarding Season 5 entirely. This also includes Avalance and has a little more backbone then #4. Check out #5
Here for Crisis on Infinite Earths? Check the last part.
So I made a list and dug back through almost every episode of Legends from season 3-4 to try to calm my fears and honestly I think there are some huge clues buried deep in there.
1. People are worried that next Season will be Legends of Tomorrow's last and I honest to god think Legends of Tomorrow will end with a Season 6 and not 5. Why do I think this? Mostly because the CW renewed it for season 5 didn't mention it was ending and renewed Arrow for season 8 and mentioned that it would be it's final season. Plus I doubt they'd end two of the Arrowverse shows one after the other. I know it hasn't been running as long as Arrow and Legends isn't the flagship show but I do believe they would've let people know if that would be it. Though that said I do believe Legends will have a Season 6 and that will be it's last, do I want it to be? No.
Should it be? That's to be determined.
There are hundreds of stories a show like Legends could tell but honestly ask yourself is it worth the risk of Legends losing what makes it Legends, let it and those in it go down as Legends I say.
2. And what happens when the Legends awaken the original guardians of Time (no, not the Time Masters, sillies, that was season one!) who wish to erase everything the Legends have “screwed up for the better” over the past four seasons?
I needed to especially hit this nail on the head, considering I began writing a fic back at the beginning of 3B about original guardians of time, I literally even called them Time Guardians and tied the original 2 of them to Adam and Eve and there was this whole plot surrounding what if and honestly Im scrapping it now, I was probably never going to finish it but I was almost half way through so thats something.
Now to get on with the actual point of this quote, I dont know if anybody has noticed but this entire season offset with the actors and actressess and onset as their characters, especially the closer it gets to the finale has been extremely focused on the wrongs season 1 did, how bad it was, how much the actors didn't like it (example - Dominic Purcell's quote, Phil Klemmers comments about it and on and on with the other actors), the quote above even mentions the fact that these guardians will try to correct the past 4 seasons and then there's Sara's and Mick's mention to it in "Nip/Stuck", the offshoot moment that had everyone going awwww when Mick mentioned they were the last of the originals and Sara mentioned they were different back then and that they are growing up but hopefully not apart (a huge hint I believe that this show is ready to tie the knot, just not season 5 ready because they'll need to be adults for that ending and they aren't quite there yet) season 4 was about coming to terms with that fact and season 5 will be about them acting on it, season 6 will be the realisation that every Legend has an ending. This is where season 5 'them acting on being adults' comes into it, I believe Legends is going to try to write season 1's wrong in a way they haven't done yet, do I mean they'll literally go back and rewrite season 1? No, i swear to god they better not that would be another level of unbelievable yet to be achieved but that doesn't mean certain aspects of season 1 won't have a huge impact, season 1 brought them together as in Sara's words "the original losers, not important to history" and now look at them. Season 1 of Legends will play a pivotal plot point to Season 5, a realisation of soughts. It's time for the Legends to grow up, realise that every action truly has consequences and that nothing lasts forever, something they couldn't fathom when Rip tried to keep them from fixing their mess in 3x01 forcing them to get normal lives and not be time travelling superheroes. Though they'll surely have their fun discovering this.
3. Midseason Return and episode count
Okay, I am not worried at all about this. Is it shitty? Yeah definitely. We won't be getting episodes until at least at minimum January next year but let's be honest with Batwoman hitting our screens, this was going to happen.
Legends of Tomorrow is the CW's most outrageous, crazy, no ordinary run of the mill show they have. It's no longer able to fit with the nitty gritty of the Arrowverse, it's in a league of its own.
These things are what make Legends of Tomorrow, Legends of Tomorrow. It wouldn't be the same if it resembled the street show Arrow is or the teen superhero show the Flash is or the normal, kind of? that Supergirl is or whatever type of darl thing Batwoman will be. Just like Black Lightning (which if you aren't watching, why?) Legends is something of its own. Unique.
Moving Legends away may very well be them realising this.
As for episode count, I don't expect anything above 16 episodes but I certainly don't expect anything below 13. This whole 10 episode rumour going around, I find it hard to believe, Arrow got 10 mostly because it's the last season and Stephen Amell requested a shorter series to end on.
4. Avalance - let's be honest most of you reading this are only here for the Avalance. Probably.
What do I think of Avalance leading into season 5? I think we got our answer perhaps in the form of Clexacon, 4B and the spoiler. Everyone is so concerned with the fact that they may break up that they haven't considered something entirely different.
In attempting to change her future, Zari Tomaz (Tala Ashe) will accidentally change not just the past she shared with Nate Heywood (Nick Zano), but fundamentally change who the Legends are in season five.
From this one paragraph everybody assumes they are going to be broken up in this new reality. If that turns out to be the case I am all here for a finding their way back to each other season. Remember, Sara and Ava are who each other want. They'll find their way back to one another.
Though this isn't what I get from this, remember Clexacon. Remember baby Beebo's? Remember Ava wanting a life with Sara and Sara not entirely sure she could give that to Ava with her past, remember everything with Sara's father, remember Ava wanting to talk about kids and so on and so on. Now I'm not saying Quentin will make an appearance but I am suggesting that what if this new reality is everything they ever wanted, what if it's paradise, Ava has a kid with Sara, Sara has her father and she's in a good place with Ava but nothing feels right. What if it changes their lives all for the better and season 5 is them coming to terms with the fact that they can't have something that isn't really real. Imagine Ava having to let go of a child, Sara having to say goodbye to a living family, Nate saying goodbye to his Dad again, Mick having to let go off being some famous writer and so on and so on for every other character. It's not their reality whether it's perfect or not at the end of the day they are heroes and now they need to prove it.
Will Avalance have a rough patch? No doubt.
Will they be broken up at the start of next season? Who knows, I don't, not really.
Will they find their place together? Definitely, I'd bet my life Legends Season 5 ends with Avalance. Though Season 6 may start with only one of them.
5. What if the opposite of the above happens?
What if it's the fact that Zari erases herself from history or never meets the Legends and detrimentally changes the future, I mean that was a theme through all of season 3 and looking back at the fantastic episode "Here We Go Again" Gideon and Zari figure out that without her they can't stop Mallus, what else would've happened without Zari.
If Zari never met the Legends what would the impact be?
First we need to take a look at Zari and what brought her too the Legends, namely her brother and the desire to save him, he gave her the totem, so let's think this through, if Zari some how manages to save her brother (I'm gonna say she saves him with her dragon, that dragon will come into play somehow, leaving it at Zari's was in no way a random thing), she never gets the totem, she never joins the Legends and the Legends no longer have six totems.
What then? What about Mallus? What about Nora?
What about Avalance, Zari (with the help of the cheeky bot, Sara's words not mine,) were catalysts for them, is it possible that without her push to Sara, Ava moved on with that ex in Vegas or someone else. It would give Legends and opportunity for some hilarious Sara jealousy and pining something we haven't really ever seen. Could you imagine? They would be friends with or without Zari but would they be together? Sara is a little stupid when it comes to admitting feelings and Ava is a little dense when it comes to anything Sara related, it would make for a joy to watch as Sara and Ava fall in love all over again but never truly get together until everything is fixed with time and they realise the lynch pin to their relationship starting was Zari.
What about Charlie? Or Constantine? Zari had a huge impact on both characters, "Legends of To-Meow-Meow" is all the proof you need.
Would Constantine even be a part of the team?
Would Charlie?
Would Mick be a writer, Zari gave him the push he needed, to be out as a writer and to be a writer. Without Zari, Here We Go Again never happened.
Zari impacted every one of Legends, willing or not. Mostly not.
What about those donuts? Would the Waverider be overrun by donuts? Poor Gideon.
Crisis on Infinite Earths
Alright this is because this makes me more nervous than Season 5 of Legends spoilers does. Probably because we haven't heard anything really and only have the comics to truly back the crazy theories surrounding it.
Lets give it a look. Canon flow of the story between all shows hasn't been the CW's greatest forte, their plot holes only seem to get bigger and bigger with every second or third episode that hits the screen as they try to tie all these shows together.
That said, one thing that has yet to become a plot hole, at least not that I've seen. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.
The Legends were picked because they wouldn't impact history in any great way. Sara dying or any Legends dying to save the multiverse would throw a wrench into this and blow the biggest plot hole in Legends that would be pretty hard to turn around from. I'm not saying that they might not try because it is the CW but let's be honest going into Clexacon, Jes and Caity knew how Legends was going to end, Caity will be back for the next season which would be awkward if she died in the crossover (Though she does have a habit of coming back from death), so relax chill and wait to see that most likely this Crossover will show what happens with Oliver Queen the Arrow, one final Arrowverse send of for the one who started it. Love or loathe Arrow, personally for me it went downhill around season 5 but I hold a soft spot for it, love or loathe you probably wouldn't have everything else without it. So give it a round of applause when it finishes, Stephen Amell and the rest of them deserve it.
That said it is Crisis on Infinite Earths, who's to say that the new season of Legends will take place on the Earth we are familiar with, after all they're time travellers, who needs Earth, time will do just fine. Just have to wait and see.
If only we had a time machine right?
