Reader is Trent Alexander Arnold's twin sister. The two have been inseparable since childbirth, more so now when Reader is fresh out of university looking for a job, crashing at her brother's place whilst doing so. One day Reader gets a job offer that she cannot refuse, however it would mean working for her brother's biggest rival in football, Ruben Dias.

Man City vs Liverpool. It was a disaster bound to happen. Perhaps the exact reason why Jennifer begged to tag along as you and your family gathered for a spectacular afternoon at the Etihad Stadium. The atmosphere was unmatched, the crowd giddy for what's to come. You however, couldn't stop biting your nails in agony.

"Doesn't Ruben want you sitting near his bench, why are you on Liverpool's side of the stands?"

"Because..." You said, gritting your teeth for Jenny to keep her voice down. "Only you and grandma know I'm dating Ruben."

"You seriously haven't told your parents yet? Trent I understand, but don't you think the rest of your family would be more accepting?"

"No." Was your answer. Your grandma seemed to have come to terms with the situation, but only because she had seen first hand how much you cared about Ruben and he you. He would usually drop you off at the apartment after work and was not afraid to greet grandma at the door. He would greet her with a smile on his face and fondly ask about how her day went and if business at the shop was going good. It was not an act to win her over, grandma would've seen right through that. Ruben was just genuinely a polite person who was raised right by his parents. However, you strongly believed that despite how well raised he was, it would be hard for your parents to look past the fact that Ruben played for Manchester City, the team that had robbed them of so much joy.

"I dunno?" Jenny said, after hearing you out. "That altercation between your brother and Ruben was a long time ago, don't you think they're over it by now? If I were Trent I would be, how else is he gonna be able to focus on today's game if he still got his head wrapped around what's happened in past games?"

"Trust me." You said. "If there is something my brother can do, it's to hold a grudge."

You sat back in your seats as the Liverpool crowd, including your parents, started singing. The game was about to begin.

Despite having the majority of the crowd on their side, Man City struggled to control the game. Liverpool was fighting back with their supporters chanting them on.

"We are the Scousers

The cocks of the north!"

"We hate Man United

And City of course!"

"We only drink whiskey

And bottles of brown

The Liverpool boys

Are in town!"

"Na na na na na na na na!"

"What's wrong sweetheart, why aren't you singing along?" Your mother nudged your shoulder, seeing as you were biting your nails rather than singing along with the crowd.

"Yeah, Y/N why aren't you singing along?" Jenny smiled.

You threw her an evil glance. The lump in your stomach grew heavy as you turned your attention back to the game. Ruben looked furious. It was a bad game for him. Liverpool had managed to get two goals past his defense. The worst part was that one of those goals had been done by Trent, who was now getting cocky with the support from the crowd.

"Here he goes, here he goes!" Your dad alerted.

It was another corner shot from Liverpool, taken by Mac Allister. The ball flew past all the city players' heads, landing right on top of Virgil van Dijk's, who butted the ball to the ground for Trent's foot to tap it into the goal.

"3-0!"

The Liverpool crowd were on their feet, celebrating like maniacs. The game ended with the standing result as the referee blew his whistle.

"What a game! Let's celebrate." Your dad suggested, as your family followed the stream of people leaving the stadium.

"We have to wait for Trent." Your mother said.

"Don't worry bub, he'll meet us at the restaurant. Jenny, you said you knew a place?"

"Sure. I know a place not too far away from the shop."

"Great, let's go!"

Your family and Jenny walked ahead but you were hesitant to leave.

"Y/N, you coming?"

You shook your head. "I...I should stay. Wait for Trent. He might not know the way to the restaurant."

"Suit yourself." Your dad shrugged. "Just don't let him hold you up in the locker room, the guys might take a while."

"I'll be alright." You said, ignoring the looks that Jenny and Grandma threw your way. You were left standing in the middle of the stadium parking lot, but not the public one, the one close to the gates where fans waited in hopes of spotting their favorite player.

"I'm outside." You texted, not Trent but Ruben. You felt a need to check on him after such a tough game.

"Be there in five." He replied.

And so you waited. And waited.

Fans scattered after having their jerseys signed by City players, they were the first people to leave the building.

"Hey."

There was a light tap on your shoulder. You turned around to see Ruben, looking defeated and exhausted from the game.

"Hey." You smiled. "Tough game?"

"Don't mock me."

You frowned. "I'm not mocking you."

He sighed, and brought you in for a hug. "I bet your family enjoyed the game though."

"Ruben. " You pulled back to look at him.

"I'm just saying." He shrugged. "It's not like they were cheering for me."

"I was cheering for you."

"Were you?

"Yes Ruben. Believe it or not but I was."

He was grumpy, kicking something invisible on the ground. "Are you coming with me or are you headed somewhere?" He raised his head to look at you.

You sighed. "My family is celebrating at a bar in town."

He snorted. "Of course they are."

You rolled your eyes. "They're here for the weekend, Ruben, what am I supposed to do? And don't make me choose between you and my family because that would be incredibly unfair."

Ruben's shoulders withered, realizing what he was making you do. "I...I'm sorry." His gym bag dropped to the ground as he reached out his arms to you. You stumbled into his warm embrace and stayed there, letting Ruben sway you in his arms. "I never meant to make you choose between me and your family." He spoke against your temple. "Just having you like this is a privilege enough for me."

Your arms wrapped tighter around Ruben's waist. He was yours to keep.

"And you didn't hear this from me...but I guess your brother played a pretty good game."

You gasped, pulling out of the hug. "Was that....a compliment I heard?"

He rolled his eyes.

"Nah ah, don't be shy now Dias, I think you just compliment your fellow rival."

He wiggled out of your grip to hide his smile.

"Are you proving to be the bigger man, is that what this is?"

"The biggest." He nodded. "Bigger than any other man you've been with."

You laughed as he railed you in, attacking your neck with wet kisses.

"Stop it Ruben, it tickles."

He mumbled against your skin. "Not until you admit that I'm the biggest you've ever had."

"Never."

"No?"

"Aaaah, Ruben." You squealed as his arm went under your legs, swooping them up under you as he lifted you up in his arms, twirling you around, bridal style.

"Ruben, please"

"Admit it."

"No, hahahah."

"You fucking....get off her!"

Suddenly you were tackled to the ground, with Ruben trying his best not to let you hit the concrete before him. Recovering from the initial fall you looked up to see Trent, towering over Ruben with a fuming look on his face.

"Have you lost your mind?" Ruben shouted. "She could have gotten hurt." He shot to his feet, pushing Trent back two steps.

"What are you doing, touching my sister?" Trent pushed back, but didn't have as much impact on Ruben who was bigger.

"Guys, stop it!" You got up from the ground trying to come between them. A big mistake, because as Ruben wrapped a hand around your waist, checking to see if you had hurt yourself from the fall, Trent saw red.

"Trent!"

You screamed as he swung at Ruben, the blow of his fist striking Ruben on the nose, making him bleed. You stepped back as Ruben rushed your brother, tackling him to the ground, raising himself to tower over him as he delivered equally as bone crushing punches.

"Ruben stop!" Your voice broke, your desperate shouts alerting the people around you, players and staff from both teams, rushing to disrupt the fight.

"Hey, hey, hey!" Ruben's friend John was one of the first people on the scene, grabbing a hold of Ruben, pulling him off of your brother. It was a horrific scene with medical staff from both teams rushing to check on Trent. It was heartbreaking for you to see him like that, bloody in the face and knocked out on the ground, all in the hands of....

"Y/N?"

You flinched as someone grasped your arm. It was Ruben, who looked terrified at the way you reacted when he touched you. "It's me, don't be..." He reached out again, your eyes darting at his bruised knuckles. Luckily John was quicker. "Let her go, let her..." He looked at you, seeing the terror in your eyes. "I'll take him home. You stay with your brother."

You nodded. "Okay."

He escorted Ruben across the parking lot, the two of them driving away in the night. Whilst the medical staff alerted for the ambulance to come, you brought your phone to light, dialing Grandma's phone number with trembling hands. She picked up after the second tone.

"Y/N?"

"Grandma?" You sniffled, phone pressed to your ear. "It's all my fault....."

York Household: Chapter 9, Part 7

Deanna expresses her feelings while Joey tries to be supportive. Kelly does not try to be supportive.

Deanna moves inside forlornly, hardly looking where she’s going. She feels sadness and anger swirling inside her.

Joey: Come here sis

Deanna: Joey?

Joey: Pa thought I should stay. He’s gone to buy cheese

Deanna goes and throws her arms around her big brother, hugging him close. Thank the watcher for her family. The tears in her eyes flow freely now and she couldn't say how long she stood there sobbing into Joey's jacket. Eventually she manages to slow down the sobs to speak.

Deanna: I just got dumped *sadly* I didn’t see it coming

Joey: Come and sit, we can talk

Deanna: No. I need to block that… I need to block my ex. She’s left, she doesn’t get the luxury of seeing my life anymore

Joey: I mean… straight to block? I thought you loved her

Deanna: I do! I mean I did *sighs* it’s complicated Joey

Joey: Thank the watcher I don’t get romantic feelings

Deanna: I’m sorry, if that's you trying to be helpful I'd rather face it alone

Joey: I just wonder, if you loved her, why aren’t you fighting for her

Deanna: She thinks I loved what she was more than who she was

Joey: What does that mean

Deanna: Nevermind. She was wrong

After Kelly has stayed on the second floor patio long enough to see Paris fade into the distance he goes to join his siblings in waiting for dinner.

Kelly: Woah you look terrible

Deanna: Shut up goblin, I’m not in the mood

Kelly: I thought saying you’ve looked better was a compliment for all those other times you didn’t look like this

Deanna: It isn’t and you know that

Kelly: Hey Joey, are you coming to my birthday party tomorrow

Joey: Am I invited

Kelly: You’re my brother, of course you’re invited. I’m evil but family get a special pass

Deanna: You literally insult me daily

Kelly: Do I? Or do I prepare you for the harshness of the world

Deanna: Look, I just got dumped, I’m not in the mood for your mind games

Kelly: Good riddance. She was clearly a peasant

Deanna: Look, you may be too young to understand-

Kelly: I’m 13 tomorrow

Deanna: Whatever. Point is if you love someone it’s hard to lose them

Kelly: But… she… was… a PEASANT. Sooner you accept that the happier you’ll be

Joey: That kind of made sense

Deanna: *scoffs* Don’t encourage him Joey

The oven needed a quick scrub but Aaron manages to cook some excellent level Mac and Cheese.

Kelly: YES! De you should get dumped more so we get greasy food

Deanna: *sighs* Pass me a plate then troll

Joey: Home is where the good pasta is. Grazie pa

Aaron: You’re welcome

Deanna: Grazie pa *sadly moves food about*

Aaron: You’re welcome *long silence* Kelly?

Kelly: Si pa?

Aaron: Do you have something to say

Kelly: Si... Wombats poop squares

Aaron: Do they now

Kelly: Si

*phone noise*

Aaron: Joey, it’s still no phones at the table

Joey: But I’m running some tests on my mini game. It’s like blicblock, but forget everything you know about blicblock

Aaron: Do you think the main game will be ready for release soon

Joey: I hope so but I’m trying to grind at work so I’ve only got pockets of time. Plus Alfred and Rilian like to show me their toys. I want it polished before I release it, start strong

Before everyone is finished eating Calista gets home from her shift.

Calista: I do love mac and cheese

Deanna: Mama… Paris left

Calista: I’m so sorry cara (Aaron has already text her a heads up of the situation so she’s not caught off guard)

Deanna: And she accused me of not loving her. Can you believe that?

Calista: So she said “it’s not me it’s you”

Deanna: Not exactly. She kept going on about wanting to find herself and needing to go out into the world. I offered to keep in touch but… she didn’t want that. She didn’t want me

Kelly: She was a peasant *leaves table without being excused* I vote for the watcher to delete her

Deanna: *sadly* What am I meant to do now

Joey: Whatever you feel like. Have a day of mourning if you want. Eat ice cream and drink nectar and watch films until you cry. Then tomorrow, after a good night’s sleep, you dust yourself off and carry on. You understand robotics De, don’t let this mess up your study because I think you could be a pioneer one day

Deanna: You really think that?

Joey: Of course I do. And you have to listen to me, because I’m a genius

Deanna tucks into the last of her food with the most energy she’s had all meal while Calista mouths grazie to Joey.

When the table is free Kelly grabs out his trusty diary. There’s the normal entry start, who’s on his hitlist today and why. Then comes a more thoughtful paragraph wondering about teen life. Will it be what he expects? Will he be what he expects? Will people treat him differently? Can he still keep the evil mantle with more personality? At least Mantis is immortal and can never leave.

Deanna is lounging in her cottage with the comedy channel on but she's paying it no attention. She's scrolling through photos on her phone when a familiar sim bursts through her door.

Devin: De! Joey told me what happened! Come here

The two kiss on the cheek and hug. Even though Devin has already heard the story she lets Deanna tell it again to get it off her chest.

Devin: Oh my! Clearly we need to make some changes

Deanna: What do you mean

Devin: *gently* Cara you are not going to heal with photos of the two of you in your face

Deanna: But *sniffles* she’s in most of my friend photos

Devin: Come to your room, I’ll work my style magic on your walls

Devin: There. Now she’s not in your room. The friend photos with her are not where you’ll be trying to sleep

Deanna: Thanks Devin

Devin: Of course. Now sleep, tomorrow after classes we’re going shopping

Deanna: But I hate shopping

Devin: I know but I used my status as favourite to convince the watcher she needs to change your skintone to fit the rest of us, may as well get a style over. Nothing says I’m newly single like changing your hair

would it be wrong to say that, while yes, boycott things, don't pressure others into doing so. not everyone has alternatives to the food option. so many companies that just sell stuff in stores don't have alternatives from other countries. someones comfort food could be, i dont know, lets say as an example, Kabuto Sriracha Mac and Cheese. Now, I know theres alternatives. But what if there wasn't? What if Kabuto was a shitty company funding bad shit, but there was no easy mac and cheese alternative for someone who has it as both their comfort food, and has a disability that makes it hard to cook it from scratch.

this probably sounds whiney. but i just want people to see it from a disabled persons point of view, who has texture issues with foods, and can't be up long enough to cook. Just because you guys can handle it, doesn't mean everyone else can.

Genuinely, fuck your comfort food. "What if I wanted a specific food but I could only get it via genocide?"

Like I am willing to take concessions when it comes to food desserts and ability to an extent--like there are people whose only access to food is extremely limited and the focus is so strictly on survival, moral purity and political strategy goes to the wayside, that's fine (though we should focus on ending food desserts and increasing options for disabled people, people who cannot go to stores in person, etc because this is only "fine" in the sense that I do not blame people in this scenario).

But "what if I had other food options but only this evil company had this one specific food that makes me happy" is not part of that concession.

"What about my emotional support genocide funding mac and cheese?" DO YOU HEAR YOURSELF?

There are videos of entire, sprawling families living in tents splitting a SINGLE TOMATO for meals in Palestine right now. Kids getting sick off of unsanitary water, having horrific diarrhea with no way to even wash their hands after. There are men going out to get food and getting sniped on their way home.

"But what if I wasn't able ot have mac and cheese if I couldn't get this specific mac and cheese?" Well then I guess you go without fucking mac and cheese for a bit!

Go fuck yourself. This is a vain and obvious attempt at pitting disability advocacy against support for Palestine.

At this point I started to think harder about the songs that have meant the most to me throughout my life and as I've gotten older. For example, I like a lot of Bright Eyes songs more than First day, but that song has had way more impact on me. I play it all the time, the lyrics are permanently imprinted in my mind, and to me it's one of the most beautiful and vulnerable love songs ever written. With that in mind more and more "important" songs started coming to mind.

Now I have ten, that was easy.

Except...

I remembered that one Demarco song that makes me cry everytime I hear it. Got to include that. How many times have I listened to the Glow pt 2 during the summer? How could I leave off something from Porcupine Tree, the band that I once considered my favorite band of all time? So I kept going, through names and bands that I collect like emotional trophies, not wanting to leave anything out. They all mean so much, it's honestly pathetic. I used to hyperfixate on things like Zelda and Star Wars, then I found this shit and my brain chemistry has been altered ever since.

Funny how quickly a song can feel like home. That Crane Wives song technically shouldn't even be here, I only heard it for the first time a few weeks ago. Yet maybe listening to it 30 times since qualifies it for consideration. Phoebe Bridgers has a lyric in one of her songs about wishing she had written something instead of the original artist, but she can't cause they said it first. So instead she'll learn their song and sing until the feverish inspired feeling fades away in a voyeuristic catharsis.

I think about that line constantly. Also quickly want to mention here that I'm more of an album guy. I try to listen to full records to try an experience the full piece of art the creator made. So while no song off The Downward Spiral is on my list of favorite songs, that was and is one of the most impactful albums to me as a teenager.

Swans was hard, because there were a few songs that meant a lot to me. But ultimately there wasn't one more visceral or frankly more evil sounding than New Mind. Love the themes, love the singing style, love the backing yells, love the industrial outro, love the faint organ, love everything about that damn song.

The list kept getting longer, and for each song I was writing a paragraph to explain my choice lol. After the first like 15 I decided to stop doing that for the sake of your eyes and for risk of sounding redundant. But a major thing I love about some of these songs are how inspirational they are. Twin Sized Mattress, Denton Metal Band, Story of an Artist, they all paint a picture of the type of person I want to be. The type of art I will always support. The thing I hope to one day inspire in other people.

When you punish a person for dreaming their dream don't expect them to thank or forgive you. The best ever death metal band out of Denton, will in time both outpace and outlive you.

Those words could honestly save someone's life, it's crazy.

Okay, threw these and now dozens more names are crowding my brain, and this incredibly pretentious post must come to an end. Long story short, I only have one song left to share, but each of these song has a very personal connection to me. Certain ones (like that tool song) actually changed the way I look at the world and helped me through dark periods of my life.

Many of them inspire me, some of them are just beautiful in a broken and real sorta way, and all of them feel human. The art represents something bigger than itself and the ambition knows no bounds. These songs changed my world for the better, and if you read this you are now obligated to listen to all of them.

I could ramble about music till the end of time:)

I’m working on a theory that - hear me out - Mac is a secret evil mastermind.

Now LISTEN ok so it’s very not fleshed out but here are the basics:

The amount of parallels between Bryan/Aaron & Mac/Dennis and then Bryan gives that whole speech about who’s really pulling the strings.. Hmm that scene is what originally set off alarm bells in my head and then I read the sunny self help book where there is a part when Mac says “Dennis loves me with the fury of a thousand suns” to deliberately make Dennis uncomfortable so he will leave and they can carry on with the recording without him. Even acting upset that he’s leaving saying “where are you going? Don’t walk out on me without saying a [word]” then immediately switching to being glad his plan worked as soon as he’d gone. Shown here:

This was really surprising to read because in the show we only get needy Mac we don’t see him actively understanding the power he has and using it to manipulate Dennis. (Other than when he starts poisoning Dennis so he’ll depend on him but that was more a thing of him lashing out bc he could feel Dennis pulling away) - this was the first time (since early seasons ) we’ve seen Mac acting quite like Dennis in manipulating him for trivial personal gain rather than anything actually important to him.

This is all also supported by that strange scene in the same episode as Bryan giving the speech where Mac gets Dennis all riled up to the point he storms off then Mac smirks ??

I think he could be testing out the waters with these little interactions and experimenting to see what stuff works on illiciting the reaction he wants out of Dennis so that eventually he can use it to get what he really wants out of him (idk what that is yet maybe dick)

Idk but this all points to Mac finally realising exactly how to manipulate Dennis by playing the bumbling fool (like Bryan said in his speech) and if we see more of this idea fleshed out I will be back on board for macdennis in future seasons bc the one sided thing was sad but if Mac gains back his power you know I love a mutually destructive dynamic.

Would also just like to say again that this is a theory and actually contradicts most of my other theories regarding Mac but I am a multifaceted individual and this has been playing on my mind so do what u will with it

How do Red Cedar, Minted Glacier and the children of Obbi, Rainier and Polly cope with the death of their lovers/parents?

Btw, I love how much thought goes into this interesting and fun AU!

Thank you so much!! I’ve been having a ton of fun with this AU; it really lets me go outside of my usual comfort zone in tone and characterization and I’m really loving the exercise.

Red Cedar’s whole family has a pretty long history with the Apples, with her father’s friendship with Bright Mac, her mother’s friendship with Applejack, her sister’s relationship with one of the (surviving) Apple cousins, and her own relationship with Rainier. So, after a number of their loved ones get taken from them by this horrible evil, it’s no question that the two families would join forces. Cedar is treated by the Apples like one of their own just as much as her own parents love her, so she has a lot of support. Which she’ll need since she was most likely pregnant with at least one of her and Rainier’s children when he died (not sure which one but there aren’t 14 of them in this au). She’s absolutely devastated without Rainier, but she hardly has to parent alone with the whole family helping her.

Minted Glacier and Cherry Berry Sherbet would get a very large inheritance from Polly no question, but of course no amount of money can fill the hole he left with his absence. Mint would become very paranoid knowing his husband was murdered by such a powerful evil, and he would probably become an extremely private individual in an effort to protect himself and CheBe even though that evil is gone. But he would also want to do some good with all the money that he’s been left with. In the spirit of Polly’s philanthropy career but in a way that is much more concretely helpful, he would donate much of his fortune to help the families of all the others that were killed, like he would appreciate being done for him if he had any financial need. Of course he keeps enough for himself and CheBe (and his sister and parents too) to live comfortably for the rest of their lives, but the vast majority of that money is donated to a selfless cause.

As I get to Obsidian, I should explain that the timeline of the horror AU is a little different from the timeline of the original Auraverse. In the OG universe, Obbi and Yngvlid don’t get together until Obbi’s son Volcanic Jasper is about 12-13 years old, but there’s no way Iolite would wait that long to start killing. So, Yng and Obbi get together much earlier in Jasper’s life (which works because they knew each other for much longer anyway). Also, I like to think Iolite spent some time isolating herself as the evil gradually took over her mind, giving Crash enough time to at least get Obbi pregnant even if he doesn’t get much time with his son after that. After both Crash and Obbi are dead, Yngvlid sends the young and orphaned Jasper to live with his Uncle Mountain Peak to keep him safe on the off chance that there’s still any lurking evil watching her. Since Mounty is permanently single, she believes he has the lowest risk of attracting any of Iolite’s wrath, if she did have any power to resurrect Sombra-style.

never used photoshop so im curious to see your opinions about photopea vs photoshop

ok things to be known: 1) adobe can suck my cock and balls theyre evil and i wish that the corporate entity that is adobe would go up in flames, a corporation shoud NOT have that much insight in your privacy, files, sensitive info, etc 2) photopea is great and built off a small dev team as a basically a passion project, which is awesomesauce! i'm not knocking them at all, and i think ppl should support them in anyway they can

i've been a graphic designer and photographer for years now, and in hs i became adobe certified. i literally spent four years of my life learning on an industry standard. it becomes muscle memory after a while. beside that i was a roleplayer so i became VERY familiar with edits and gifs and all that. again everything became muscle memory. adobe suites are the industry standard for a reason, and for GOOD reason. i think they have an amazing interface and work hard to update the experience and make shit easier for artists; like i will give them that even if i sound like a bootlicker. i never paid for it tho lol as a student i got it for free and i would use cracks/torrents.

when i got my new computer it wouldn't let me run bootcamp so i couldn't crack the adobe suites like i used to :/ new mac processors or whatever don't rely on intel anymore, so not intel = no bootcamp. most cracks are pc based so i just couldn't find one that worked for me. apple went ham on protecting IP and combating torrents so it's like impossible to crack without an extensive VPN or else adobe will literally send a cease and desist to your internet provider. its sincerely fucked up.

i switched to photopea bc of this. i really liked it, but im autistic so having to relearn my own workflow that ive had for years made me want to hashtag die. the interface is VERY close to photoshop, so it wasn't hard, but it doesn't have the same capabilities i was used to w ps. i do NOT like edited photos in photopea; i think its way too laggy and glitchy to work with giant raw files, which really sucks!!! for making small edits and doing my graphic design tho??? i do really like it. it doesn't have the same capabilities as ps sure, but once i just fucked with the filter galleries and different plug ins and worked my process around what photopea could accomplish, i was good as gold. i've been producing quality work on commission through photopea. it's a learning curve for sure, especially if you have zero experience with an editing interface like that, but the more i use it the more i learn.

all of that being said, i think photopea is fucking awesome for being completely free and open source. it has its issues —— sometimes its way too glitchy for me and pisses me the fuck off, i have to frequently save my psd files and hope that they don't fuck up, and then reopen so it's less laggy and rinse and repeat bc some of my stuff takes hours lmfao —— but i think its pretty darn close to the photoshop i was using like less than a year ago. its glitchy, its laggy, the ads are annoying and clog up the screen, but i simply cannot complain to much when its a smallish dev team working on a shoestring budget (last time i checked) and for FREE. like its open and usable on any browser and computer and i think thats rad.

if i could go back to ps without giving them money i would in a heartbeat. ps is awesome for the work i do, and i like that there's constant improvements and updates. it just boils down to look, feel, and workflow to me; ps is rarely laggy and glitchy, its meant to handle giant projects, there's so many plug ins you can find online, etc. i just wish it wasn't a subscription based software; honestly if i new adobe was less like the elf on the shelf and i could make a one time purchase, i would. but alas.

anyways i'm pro photopea all the way. idk if any of this was helpful its mostly rambly lmfao. but yeah. i don't do much photography anymore, so i don't have to work around the glitches and lags and all of that with photopea; i focus on graphic design for event fliers and social media content + rp resources. it has room for improvement for sure for sure, but it's lovely and helpful in its own way.

My Favorite Seasons of Outlander, In Order

This was EXTREMELY difficult, but I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

1. Season 2 - Full of adventure, danger, and suspense. Best sets, best costumes. That. Red. Dress. BEST SUPPORTING CHARACTERS! The plot twist about Mary’s baby-daddy. The Duke’s Beheading. That one transition scene when Claire steps off the plane/boat (you know the one). Jamie and Claire are powerful. I’ve been to Versailles myself, so probably a little biased. 10/10 Season.

2. Season 1 - The O.G. Season. The time-traveling and it’s costumes and sets are amazing. I’m a sucker for acquaintances to lovers trope. The Wedding. Full English Breakfast. THE RECKONING. Jamie and Claire becoming the power couple we all love. So much plot, so many episodes, yet not many fillers. Perfect blend of developing romance, history, and jaw dropping moments at every turn. Last two episodes hurt too much though. 9/10 Season.

3. Season 6 - The plots in this season are (chef’s kiss). Following the book to the letter! So much suspense, action, adventure. Jamie’s devotion to Claire is powerful yet soft. Lots of Domestic Frasers screen-time. FERGUS AND MARSALI. Love to hate the Christies- ready for Season 7 to reveal them. Season finale is the best one so far!! Ether got a little annoying, and season too short for obvious reasons, though. So 8/10 Season.

4. Season 5 - Sam’s new wig takes the cake. I’m finally starting to like Brianna and Roger. The big house is fantastic. IAN MY BOY. Jamie praying to Dougal. The Beardsley house felt like a horror movie. The Ballot of Roger Mac sent be back to Season 1- my new favorite episode in the entire series. Bonnet made me mad- strung that out too long. A few too many filler episodes for my taste. MURTAGH NOOO!!!!!!!!! Still amazing though, 7/10 Season.

5. Season 3 - Disliked the season’s first half, sucked to see Jamie and Claire apart. Culloden was well done though. Could happily skip episodes 2-5. A MALCOM SAVES THE DAY. “Leg-Hair”, Geneva, and Geillis- WHY SO MANY EVIL WOMEN THO? The entire trip to the West Indies, bravo. Loved these adventures. Turtle Soup and Squeaking Noises were gifts. The drowning boat rescue and the musical score attached was dramatic perfection. 4/10 first half, 8/10 second half = 6/10 total Season.

6. Season 4 - Do I really need to explain? Lots of filer episodes, ugh. Lack of Jamie and Claire intimacy, ughhh. Sam’s wig, UGH. ALL THE SHIT WITH ROGER AND BRIANNA’S IMMATURITY UGHHHHH. I miss Scotland. Lord John gives this season bonus points, and so does that warm bath scene, but otherwise, 3/10 Season. I don’t watch any of this at all, really.

25. ARMENIA

Ugh, Fine.

Time to finish this ranking turbo style! So yeah, I’m not impressed with The Biggest Eurovision Hit, which I suppose is a controversial opinion? Then again, if Rosa was so good, then why did she only make it 20th place, hmmm? 🤔🤔

When Rosa’s song leaked it sounded exactly like the type of song you’d expect DMGP to commit murder for: a frivolous, cheery pop welterweight (which somehow has the same cadence as I’m Alive by Elhaida Dani) thats easy to listen to and doesn’t get in the way of stanning better things.

At Eurovision, this was Rosa’s exact journey. She was a cute presence that was vaguely liked, and her staging supported this. (despite the staging mishaps, still pretty neat!) Don’t know what all the references in the lyrics are about, but we can pretend it added some depth and meaning, Into 20th place she went, which was a fair result for what her lovable random self brought to the table.

Then, she went viral on TikTok, which honestly is more of an “eww” than a “good on her” i m o. Okay, look, it defo does not surprise me that out of the entire 2022 catalogue this song became the viral one. TikTok viralness is a horrible metric for musical quality though. “Snap” works as a TikTok song specifcally because it doesn’t syphon attention away from whatever brainfart nonsense TikTokkers force on their feeds for a living. If you want a backing track to your “Make mac ‘n’ cheese by dumping the ingredients on a marble countertop” silliness or your indie song-singing 101 Tutorial, might as well pick something like a Snap as the accompanying backing track.

Also, I always felt the record label behind Rosa Linn was a bit too eager to get A Big Kicker on their conto. Remember when Rosa -likely on urging from her mentor Tamar Karpelian- attempted to start a respectful discussion on Twitter (oh dear) about how wonderful NFTs were (oh dear) because they helped establish a base income for fledgling artists,like herself (oh dearrrr) without having to rely on her songs getting streams? (oh dearrrrrrrrr)Twitter gave their usual gaslighting-disguised-as-concern response which in turn forced Rosa issue a semi-confused, half-arsed apology for attempting to profit from her work. Okay that was kinda funny, but by Monika Liu’s grown-out bob, Zoomer drama is the nuttiest drama, I swear.

Anyway, the aforementioned NFT shizzle, the association with Tamar’s Slytherin Evil, the TikTok viralness and the radio people’s sudden insistence that “Snap” was A Hidden Underrated Gem despite it being an inconspicuous 20th placer at Eurivision THAT NOBODY CARED ABOUT, and also the fact that Snap has five different versions (HER?!) all kinda hints at a certain ambition that just... taints it a bit for me. It just feels like Snap’s popularity didn’t develop itself naturally and but came about due to largely commercial and monetary reasons, after which the sheeple convinced themselves retroactively that it was secretly great and very underrated, since you know, influencers would never twist the truth to us for their own profit.

Overall the song’s fine in a vaccuum. Underneath its base sheer lie values that my crusty millennial monroe ass doesn’t share. FARE THEE WELL, MISS LINN, YOU GO BYE NOW!!!

Oh look, another vaguely pleasant, mildly likabable, and ultimately not very exciting middle-of-the-road pop melody. The cynic in you might think I’m ranking Mia ahead of Rosa because Mia didn’t go viral, and like always the cynic in you is correct! Hooray! 😁 Yeah sorry, in the ongoing battle of overrated vs underrated, it’s the correctly rated that always win :-)

Still, like Rosa, Mia had the potential to be green on my ranking if she had cultivated a status as a fun random. TSwift IS a guilty pleasure of mine (except for her Midnights Era self which is unironically great) and while “Willow” is a part of the least exciting wing in Taylor’s musical library (ie: the part that isn’t crazed out through copium and/or severe neurosis), this bootlegged version was just cute enough to charm me.

Now of course, if your song is all about maintaining a certain level of delicate joie-de-vivre, it’s really important to not overdo the act and let the singer’s personal charisma carry it. Cue to the staging which looked like this:

Fuck?

There’s good staging and there is whatever the flyin’ fuck that was. Goodbye cutesie lounge vibe, goodbye charming performer, you’re completely overtaken by this overly choreographed, overtly dramatic and abrasive act that your song didn’t need. ONE dancer, NO acrobatics, how difficult is that to grasp, HRT? I’d be tempted to say the act was a cursed decision, but then realize Croatia’s frantic dance gremlins were probably the tipping point that allowed ~Systur~ into the finals, and any Eurovision final graced by those three earth angels has to count as a blessing. So thank you Mia for blessing us. ^_^

It is very common knowledge that nobody likes Rockstars, and fine, I don’t! As insipid as “Rockstars” was though, I don’t think it was completely without redeeming qualities.Malik had a baseline charm and really went for it, I guess.

The German Selection, which had adopted the very... um... optimistic name “Germany, 12 points” for the occasion, (optimistic even if we believe the conspiracy theory the “12 points” alluded to the total numerical amount ARD were aiming for in Turin <3) was one of the worst in a horrible NF season. I was fucking relieved it produced a winner I could (sadly no more than) vaguely enjoy. Not everyone has the panache of getting distracted by their own soap bubble bonanza.

Also, the SPOKEN WORD RAP BREAK was exactly what my brain and soul -both high on copium after the Alina Pash withdrawal- needed at the time. It didn’t blow me away or anything, but it at least gave me something tangible to cling onto besides “well this is nice, i guess”.

For the rest though, ::tumbleweeds::. I think people might have been a bit too bandwagon-y in their Malik Mockery cus like, yeah he’s clearly getting last, don’t make it worse? But then again... he brought very little to the table. Besides the spoken word it’s like... cursive singing (petition to rename this to “Cursed Singing”) and instruments displayed on moth-eaten rugs to get points, you know? It’s like Germany were deliberately telegraphing us to NOT vote for them, again. But that’s less on Malik and more on ARD’s incompetence, which is a discussion for another time.

There is *something* about Andrea and “Circles” that resonates well with me? Is it the perfectly mimed frustration with a poorly communicating love interest? Is it the palpable resignation on her face as she helplessly bleats “u don’t wanna test my limits -_-”.

Maybe! What I do know is that I stan the critical amount of pure Sadsack Energy Andrea exhudes from every pore. 😍😍 I think she’s a contender for the most morose, Eeyore-ish person to ever set a foot on a Eurovision stage? Reminder that this person won a selection <33333 Andrea posseses a sort of theoretical anti-charisma that should render her unvoteable, and yet in practice just has me cling to every word crossing her lips. ALL SHE WANTS IS A HEALTHY CONVERSATION SO SHE CAN GET IT RIGHT AND FIX THE SITUATION, YOU GHOULS!!!

But then on top of that, Andrea also became A Highly Controversial Pick for NoMac!!!! Strangely not because she was an out-and-proud lesbian (although, an out-and-proud lesbian representing a toxic homophobe country from the Balkans <3333333) but because..... she dropped a wee plastic flag during the turquoise carpet.

The toxic nationalists took it as HER DELIBERATELY TRAMPLING OUR MACEDONIAN PRIDE AFTER YEARS OF GREEK BULLYING. MRT even issued an official statement that they were CONSIDERING A WITHDRAWAL (with zero intention to actually quit of course) to appease the smooth-brained cunts until the quiet and expected NQ arrived. <3333333333

(knowing her misery was finally over, Andrea cracked a smile for the first time in her life <3)

This only enhanced Andrea’s Charlie Brown”-esque journey even more!! Just when Andrea looked like the token hapless last placer nobody loved, the results came in, and showed she *almost* made the final. 😍😍😍😍😍😍. If there’s one thing that horrible second semifinal should have done right and didn’t, is causing a NoMac qualification by means of fixed jury voting algorithms. Simply imagine the meltdowns over Andrea slaying Andromache AND Nadir. 😍 If only the EBU had the balls to NQ Azer on the spot, huh? Oh well, there’s always 2023 for that. 😈

Instantly regretting I didn’t rank Ukraine even LOWER. 😫😫😫 (no, don’t think about how much better Stefania would be without him, don’t do it Bobo, consider your mental health -- inner monologue while writing the rest of this post.)

So yeah, after all this inconspicuous also-ran filler (i’m definitely including Snap in that group), I’m eliminating the winner, the biggest televote winner Eurovision have ever had. “Have you no respect, Boris?”, you might ask and well... would I be me, if I had any, lol? I came into the 2022 season with hot takes and mental fortitude and thanks to Shitvidi I’m all out of fortitude, so~

Cynicism and self-awareness aside, let’s get the big elephant out of the room: The war had virtually no impact on my ranking here. I despise politics at Eurovision, (mostly because politics always affect it, but Eurovision NEVER affects the politics back), so there are two options here: Either downvote Ukraine for bringing politics into the contest, or make an exception and turn a blind eye. I chose option two. Nobody can begrudge Ukraine for attempting to pretend that the worst armed conflict to have hit them since WW2 hadn’t broken them, so I won’t. No points added or deducted. .

I do have good reasons to not rank Stefania higher though. I think you already know where this is headed - Sorry (for YOU) if you’re a fan of his, but Oleh suuuuuucks. It started at Vidbir when he led a small mob against that poor envelope lady and it was all sorts of messed up? Entitlement and bullying tinged with toxic nationalism, there ain’t no better first impression to make, am i right?

And very unfortunately my distaste towards Oleh also extends to his on-stage presence which I find really fucking obnoxious. The concept of a “Charismatic Black Hole” was one I didn’t fully understand until I first saw Oleh Psiuk set a foot on stage. Does anyone TRULY like his presence here? All his verses do is distract from the chorus and instrumental, which is awful because those bits fucking slap! Airlift him and his ugly-ass hat the fuck outta here.

Okay, so the winning song is actually... pretty good. It is NOT great though. Stefania is a weaker, safer and more cis-het version of “Shum”, which is suboptimal. Counterpoint is that “Shum” was Peak Ukraine (Which is also Peak Eurovision), and remains one of the best entries ever, so a lesser replication of that is still enjoyable overall. It made Ihor Didenchuk (who is also in Go_A) a Eurovision laureate! It kinda sucks the fandom didn’t come through at a time when Ukraine had, you know, an actually charismatic lead, but I suppose the power of love Damiano-induced boners does conquer all.

On the flip side, Ihor’s and Tymofii’s contributions are so good that they almost fully balance Oleh’s deteriorative and hammy rapping. Tymofii carries Stefania with his spot-on chanting and preposterous flute playback shenanigans.

Ihor meanwhile just has a good time on the stage, disguised as one of the two Cousin It-like entities <3 Add in some tasteful staging and hell, even the fact that this song is in essence an ode to someone’s (You Know Who’s) actual mom, (and not the forced, cringe, jingoistic metaphor it later became) and you have an entry that definitely makes sense as a jury fourth placer and top fiver overall.

Now obviously, I would have preferred for Ukraine to not win because they were not the best option (not by a mile!), and ofc also because I hate their lead, but I’m not fully broken up that they beat my faves. Sometimes there are powers at work beyond our control and that’s fine. Not everything in life must be catered to our tastes. Ukraine are the best Eurovision country, and it doesn’t matter how or when they catch up to (and pass) Ireland and Sweden, as long as it happens during my lifespan. 🤷‍♀️

Still think Pinkbucket’s a thuggish little punk though. Prayer circle that the next time Ukraine win, it’s with someone actually worth stanning. 🙂

As a VERY poor vegan, (Poor as in, losing power and water constantly due to no payments) I have to be honest, I think for me it's either A, support abuse/murder and horrible practices for a couple vitamins B, pay for a bunch of fruits and veggies which I can't eat cause I have ARFID and can't afford vitamin rich foods in bulk, or C, buy a vegan multivitamin. And I think that's the simplest thing I can do to meet my vitamin needs while not spending on a ton for crap I can't eat, and not supporting large scale animal abuse and climate change. I know others would say that's a bad idea for getting vitamins, but having 0 dollars in your bank account and not wanting to support something evil (which btw is also expensive) this is the best option for me. I personally feel a bit attacked when people say poor/poc can't go vegan because it makes me seem like i'm completely stupid? Like I can't decide or plan how to be vegan simply because I'm poor and a poc. It's true I'm poor, and yeah mcdonalds big macs are cheap (not when you add it up but whatever) but I still have enough agency to decide where I put my few dollars. I never understood the idea that being poor with an ED meant I couldn't eat anything but animal products, l know from having ARFID that the amount of foods you can eat is so little that not having one sucks, but hey that's what my multivitamin is for. I just wish more anti-vegans would TALK to people with ED's and poor people instead of using us as an argument in their justification for abuse. Rant over sorry

first of all i'm so sorry to hear about your situation, everybody on earth deserves access to food, water and power. i truly hope your struggles will start getting solved and that today you can have a healthy and filling safe meal 🥰

i also have an ed so when people who absolutely can go vegan bring people with eds or other groups they aren't a part of while explaining why they aren't vegan themselves it really makes me want to scream. stop pretending that your non veganism is a form of solidarity with me! being poor, a poc and having an ed on top of that, i can't imagine how much worse it is for you, seeing people using you as a shield for themselves. 😦

The nomicon (doesn't matter the au) has NO fuckin clue what's going on. It can't grasp the whole alternate universe thing at ALL. Guide Randy steps in it's place tho

OG Randy like, immediately assumes Guide Randy is evil. OG Randy: Oh don't tell me you're another McFist scheme like Lucious O'Thunderpunch. Guide Randy: *shocked gasp* Excuse me. How dare you compare me to him!

I imagine since like, the alternate universes are colliding so they can get SOME access to other alternate universes before they actually visit it. They can also somewhat share thoughts and feelings between their alternate counterparts. (Like if OG Randy gets sick, Guide/Band Randy will feel it too and vice versa)

So like, before they can meet their band au counterparts, RESENTMENTS fully releases. OG/Swap Randy and Howard can't really understand it, but Guide Randy and Howard IMMEDIATELY clues into it being about the ninja. They have a lil debate about the possiblity of band randy not mind wiping, then "i hate books lol" (a song howard wrote about the nomicon and the stress of his trauma) comes on and Guide Howard is just ".....oh fuck."

they get to the band au, and band randy is kinda. forced into like getting the mind wipe undone and he. does not take it well. He end's up like, spending a few days in a hotel to process it bc he doesn't want to have a huge argument with Howard about it.

OG Randy probably assumes band Howard is evil but band howard is just like "why the hell would i want to reveal the ninja secrets? i may be a dumbass but i'm not a fucking idiot."

Band Levander is just there tbh. They can't really avoid not getting him involved in the alternate universe shenanigans bc the band bros all live together. but he's chill about it and just there for emotional support.

Levander is very surprised by Randy being the ninja and the whole 4 year cycle thing, but then he's like "holy shit that makes so much sense actually."

the band bros probably have the og/swap bros help set up for a music video recording. they have like at least $50K worth of camera and audio equipment. Band randy is like "....In the nicest way possible, if you break ANY of this, i'm disowning you :)"

I hc that the art of the disguise can also change your voice by like, altering your vocal cords for a bit. When Guide Randy says this Band Randy (who does A LOT of voice training) is fucking APPALLED.
