The Battle of Polytopia Introduces the Midnight Skin and Supports a Greener Earth
Tumblr media
Midnight skin releases for the turn-based strategy game The Battle of Polytopia on Linux, Steam Deck, Mac, and Windows PC. Thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Midjiwan AB team. Available now on Steam with Positive reviews. This week, the creators of The Battle of Polytopia, are celebrating something special. They're focusing on the Elyrion Tribe, a group in their creation known for their connection with nature and magic abilities. Due to make the title more exciting, they've launched a new Midnight skin and are also helping the environment. Plus this new content supports Linux and Steam Deck. From April 22-28, 2024, every time someone buys something related to the Elyrion Tribe, a tree will be planted in the real world. Midjiwan has partnered with The Canopy Project for this initiative. The Canopy Project works worldwide to help restore forests that really need it. This isn't the first time they've done this—previously, they've also managed to plant over 12,000 trees. The Midnight skin supports the Elyrion Tribe, which itself is quite fascinating. They're like elves who protect their forest home using their magic. They can turn animals into creatures called Polytaurs and even summon Fire Dragons. This week, playing as the Elyrion means you’re not just having fun but also contributing to a great cause.
Midnight skin (∑∫ỹriȱŋ) - Trailer - The Battle of Polytopia
youtube
Christian Lövstedt, the General Manager at Midjiwan, expressed his excitement about this. He believes it's a fantastic way for players to enjoy new content while supporting global reforestation efforts. Besides the environmental impact, there’s also a new feature for the Elyrion Tribe — the Midnight skin. This new addition transforms the Elyrion Tribe into the Midnight Cult. Instead of their usual nature-focused magic, this skin twists it into something darker. Players can now build crypts, create graves, and summon demons in shadowy forests. This new theme revolves around the mysterious Shard of D’Naeh. While adding a unique twist to the tribe. This new Midnight Cult skin is available for purchase now on Steam. By getting it, you not only change how your tribe looks but also support a meaningful cause. Priced at $1.99 USD / £1.69 / 1,99€. Which also has support for Linux, Steam Deck (verified), Mac, and Windows PC. That's all for now! The Henchmen top-down, action retro open-world game coming to Linux and Windows PC. Thanks to the talented Alex Von Bronx for bringing this exciting project to life. It's due to make its way onto Steam. I'm eager to share some news about an upcoming release that I think you'll like. It's called The Henchmen, and it's shaping up to be a mix of Hotline Miami and Payday. Due to release in Q1 2025 on Linux. This title also offers a fast-paced dive into the gritty world of the 1990s. Imagine yourself as part of the Castellano mafia family in the fictional city of New Queens. It's the '90s, and your job is to climb the ranks of the mafia as a new recruit. Due to the mastermind behind the city's biggest heist. You'll be stealing secrets, dodging the Yakuza, and showing everyone you're the boss in this open-world, action-packed adventure. The Henchmen isn't just about reliving the '90s — it's about combining that old-school feel with crisp, modern gameplay. You'll get to play in top-down style, racing through the city and pulling off slick moves like melee strikes and roll dodges. Think fast-paced action where every kill boosts your health and ammo. As a gamer who loves both the classic and the cutting-edge, I see this as a perfect blend that respects the past. While even bringing something fresh and exciting to our screens. I’ve been following the development of The Henchmen since its early days in 2018. Created by Alex Von Bronx, it’s clear this is a passion project, a love letter to an iconic era of gaming but with a modern twist. It's more than just a trip down memory lane—it's a robust, stand-alone experience that promises plenty of challenges and excitement. It’s great to hear that a native Linux port is already in the plans. In Recycling Center Simulator, you step into the shoes of a business owner focused on recycling. Your main job? To collect, sort, and recycle waste, transforming it into useful materials. These aren’t just any materials, though. You can further process them to create new, more valuable products.
Recycling Center Simulator - Now you can earn money
youtube
Here’s what you’ll do:
Negotiate and Buy Waste: Interact with people in the city who want to get rid of their waste. Your goal is to buy this waste at the lowest price possible. Think of it as a treasure hunt where you find the best deals on raw materials.
Collect the Waste: Once you've struck a deal, it’s time to pick up the waste from various locations like homes, factories, and workshops. You'll load up your truck and bring it back to your place.
Sort and Process: Back at your factory, you’ll also sort the waste into categories like wood, glass, metal, paper, and plastic. This is where you start turning trash into potential profit in Recycling Center Simulator.
Create New Products: After sorting, you’ll use different machines to recycle these materials into something new and more valuable. It’s like a puzzle, where you combine different elements to create something great.
Expand Your Operations: Sell the products you create, buy more advanced machines, and grow your factory. The more you expand, the more opportunities you have to innovate and earn.
Coming Soon Mark your calendars for Q3 2024, when you can start your recycling empire. Honestly, I'm looking forward to diving into Recycling Center Simulator. Since this is a unique way to see how we can make a difference, even in a virtual world, and have fun along the way. Due to make its way onto Steam in Q3 2024. Along with support for Windows PC, then Linux. Stay tuned for more updates and tips on how to master this challenge!
