Woahh its been a while huh...got super busy with life, just failed my physics exam 😜✌️ and now im on my school break, i decided to write this post bcs im SUPERRR bored rn but anyways

☆ This man isnt afraid to attend your concert WITHOUT covering his face, yk how some artists covered their face and attend their friend's concert? yeah...not yj tho

☆ The only reason why he only brought a lightstick was bcs, he treats your concert like its his monthly/weekly routine

☆ you wonder, what did he made? well...he made a banner, your photocard that he printed himself using his company's printer, candies of your fav and pastries that he had bake

☆ believe me or not, he woke up as early as 4 am just to make cute little pastries as your concert take place in morning

☆ he believed your fans wouldnt get breakfast, so he baked the pastries for them 😭

☆ as soon as your concert starts, he whipped out his phone so fast and record it and whenever you came on screen, hes like "wahhh theyre so pretty"

☆ when you start singing, he starts crying???? hes way too proud of you that he starts crying and vent to his friends sitting next to him

☆ "you know how hard my baby worked? im so proud of them, i remember them crying every night to me because of training and now look at them, theyre on stage now"

☆ his friend sitting beside him was like, soobin are u okay??? are u drunk?? but either way, his friend can only smile and nod while listening to soobin rant

☆ idc what anyone says but this man will be fighting for a front row ticket

☆ literally camps outside the venue like..literally

☆ you had offered him to enter the venue earlier than anyone before the show starts

☆ but he refused this bcs he wants to get them freebies from your fans 😭 instead of giving them out, he wants the freebies himself

☆ goes from fan to fan, if he sees a fan handing out freebies? he'll be speed walking, another fan giving out freebies too? he'll be speed walking

☆ receives the freebies until it couldnt fit in his little bag that he brought with him

☆ as soon as the security lets everyone inside, he'll be running just to get close to the barricade

☆ since hes an idol, i know its ridiculous but he'll be surrounded by 2 of his protocol team 😭

☆ even though he had brought his 2 protocol teammates, he'd somehow make them enjoy your concert too

☆ like when your group tells the fans to jump, beomgyu would convinced his protocol buddies to jump aswell

☆ you spot beomgyu in the crowds and he'd wave you like crazy, like a fan boy 😭 ...does beomgyu knows that youre his lover???? 😭😭😭

☆ but anyways, he'll go on weverse and post the concert pics and take a photo of the freebies he received

☆ "what an amazing night, they look so beautiful tonight and thank you to y/f/n for giving out the freebies, i'll be keeping it forever"

taehyun(태현) :

☆ this man is quite lowkey but he is a hardcore stan of yours

☆ hes a bit dissappointed when he founds out that he wasnt the first one to arrive at the venue, he was like "2 hours before the concert starts, and theres alot of people waiting..." poor him, he thought he was the first 😭

☆ he'd show up with his mask on and a cap as he didnt want the fans to know he came to see you

☆ but that kinda failed as your fans started to notice his famous boba eyes in the crowds

☆ this made him open his mask, since theres no point in using it 😭

☆ as soon as y/g/n performs, yk damn well he'd be taking tons of videos

☆ he'd sing along to your songs and dance to some of it

☆ he memorised the fanchant too !!!

☆ bro got jealous when he sees y/f/n got the banners like...ugh he wants one too????

☆ he was like "see i knew i shouldnt have brought lightstick only"

☆ believe me or not, he'd use those digital text on his phone that says, "y/n please notice me"

☆ luckily you noticed this and blew him a kiss and in return, he gave you a big heart which made you giggle on stage which also made y/f/n cheer louder

☆ he'll invite everyone he knows, his members, his family, his staffs. literally everyone to show how talented you are

☆ as much as you would love your boyfriend to bring in alot of people, apparently it has limits

☆ so in the end, he only brought his 2 sisters, lea and hiyyih

☆ dont worry, he paid for their tickets lmao

☆ LOVES receiving freebies from y/f/n

☆ when lea or hiyyih got your photocard from the freebies, he'd say smthn like "can i have that..?"

☆ not only he likes receiving freebies but hes also a merch buyer. sees a cute wristband for the lightstick? he'll buy. a cute shirt? he'll buy. a batch with your face on it? he'll buy.

☆ he'll buy everything that has your name or your face on it, until lea told him to stop unless he wants his bank account balance to be $0

☆ he'll do anything to get noticed by you, even tho he knows youre his lover

☆ before the concert, he texted, 'i'll be on the middle row, 3rd line from the front!!'

☆ but he decided to go extra as he thought you'd forget to see him so yk what he did? he brought glowing light sticks with him to make him more noticable 😭😭

☆ when you noticed him, you gave him a heart and him being a fanboy of yours, he started giggling and bragged to his sisters, "did you see that? they definitely gave that heart to me"

☆ after the concert ends, he'd ask one of his sisters to take photos of him doing cute poses whenever youre on screen, like him doing a big heart whenever you show up on the screen

☆ fans found this cute as they started uploading his leaked pictures doing those poses

Newt was recently injured in the maze. He'd been as fixed up as possible, given a brace made of tree branches and some painkillers sent from the box. At least no one was using the pills for bad, considering they're a fragile item to give to a bunch of teenagers. The only thing you'd ever thank WCKD for was those painkillers, because seeing the blonde hurt like that killed you inside.

To put it as blankly as possible, he tried to kill himself. He climbed his way up of one of the walls surrounding the glade using the ivy that grew on it, and jumped. He fell about thirty feet, considering he only climbed up the wall about a third of the way, apparently thinking thirty feet would kill him.

He'd never been the type to express happiness within the glade, but he never expressed the opposite either.

But, everyone struggles inside, especially in the Glade. Reoccurring dreams and nightmares, unanswered questions, the will to live dwindling down each and every day, they only fed into the growing depression. Everyone was struggling in the Glade, but Newt, he took the first place trophy for that.

Once he'd been able to walk around again, you took helping him into your own hands. He was clearly never running in the maze again, due to the limp that slowed him down. So, he had a few options, hopefully one he'd like.

Alby took pity in him, making him his right hand man not long after. He needed someone around for when he wasn't, Newt was a good choice for that. He was responsible, good at directions, and keeping order.

You were working as Newt's personal aid, being a medic. You were very much an empath, and your true goal was to just help anyone and everyone. You brought him food and water, washed his clothes, sewed up his ripped up clothes from that day in case he'd be strong enough to wear them again, you did everything for him.

But now he leans into you, looking up at you with a certain displeasure, clearly uninterested in working outside of the maze.

You obviously were never going to let him be a builder, that was already off the table. But he got to look around and make his decision between slicer, cook, track-hoe, med-jack like you, slopper, bagger, and map keeper.

He easily put his money down on track-hoe. Something you didn't know about him was that he found gardening therapeutic. You didn't blame him whatsoever, you never wanted to be in the shoes of the sloppers, slicers, or baggers. To be fair, it was a little too gruesome and gross for you, you'd rather be helping people around the Glade than washing everyone's clothes or killing the animals, just a personal opinion.

He needed help while working, though. He couldn't put too much weight on his one foot, and he couldn't bend down on that knee at all yet. So, while he worked, you stood off to the side, making sure he was alright while you watched the others work around the Glade, enjoying their peaceful, warm day.

While he was picking fruit and vegetables off the vines of ivory, you were by his side, either holding the basket or getting the ones he couldn't bend down to reach. You couldn't help but feel bad for his poor spine as well, considering your back started to hurt after a few hours. The gardens were pretty large, considering there was about thirty or forty boys in the Glade to feed, meaning there was always hours and hours of work or expansion to do.

"Y/n, sorry, can you help me?" The dirty blonde asks, groaning as he stands back up, holding a hand on his knee. "I can't get those tomatoes at the bottom"

You quickly nod, kneeling down to grab them for him while he moves to the next bush, plucking off all the ripe tomatoes off the vine. You retie a string around the support branches, which heald the bush together and let it grow vertically rather than horizontally and try and choke out and kill any other plants nearby.

"Fry is gonna love it when he sees these tomatoes, they're the biggest and ripest they've been in a long time" You comment, looking over at Newt.

He nods, tossing a cherry tomato in his mouth to amount to a little snack. "He sure is, we'll be eating good this week" He chuckles with a little smile. "You wanna work on the cucumbers for me? I'll get the corn" He suggests, wanting to work a bit quicker and suggest some things he could actually do without feeling a pain shoot through his leg.

You nod, taking a new basket over to the cucumber lane. You feel something pang in your heart as you see him attempt to kneel down on one foot to reach one last tomato, groaning and furrowing his brows in the process, clearly still hurting him.

"How are you feeling? Physically and mentally, nothing is off the table."

Newt shrugs, watching you examine and touch around the bruising and his ankle. Your fingertips slide over his ankle a little harshly, and he quickly inhales and furrows his brows, which you respond to by quickly pulling your hands away and apologizing.

"On a light note, it looks much better than before already. How are you doing in a mental sense?"

"I hate this bloody place, I feel dumb for not climbing higher-" He strays silent, watching you wrap a fresh bandage around his ankle. "Sorry..."

"It's okay. I'm here as your personal aid, Newt"

"That's the damn thing! I don't want you to waste your days on me. You have other important stuff to do, I don't want you to have to babysit me." The blonde expresses, watching you properly stand up.

"It's fine, really. You're still in a lot of pain, and I swear I'm not babysitting you. I'm just watching over you so it doesn't end up hurting more, alright?"

"Alright..."

i'm gonna be honest here, i just want to let it out there that i don't think it's entirely fair to judge thrud so harshly for being a product of her enviroment or her mistakes :( i can also point fingers at atreus for his poor decision making and acting out, but that would be stupid to do because he is after all a 14 year old kid. thrud is approximately same age as atreus and angrboda.

and i just realized just like jotunheim was angrboda's whole life and not being able to meet people her age, that's how it was for thrud while growing up in a toxic asgardian home with weird & down right mean family members. like whatever bullshit she saw and heard, all of it was a norm to her. we might not care, but the truth is that asgard was her entire world. her dad, however broken and unstable, was her entire world and wanted him to be better. and i would have had a problem if both dealt with their problems the same way or they were the same characters who showed grace, i greatly prefer them being on different ends of the spectrums so there's more room to develop their traits and arcs.

from thrud and sif's ending dialogues when they were sitting by the fire - i am sure that this is a kid who is going to shake off the ideology and propaganda they were raised with. she has to. because asgard is gone and she has to face reality in the other realms. and i don't doubt that sif the diplomat is going to keep her in check too!

Im sure you know this anon but to anyone who might think otherwise i dont hate thrud so pls dont think that and i dont intend to start anything 😭 i agree she isnt a product of her family and i dont really put anything against her as she's just a kid hence why i think the most likely path she'd go is a self-reflection one rather than a self-deprecating one. Having differences is how atreus became friends with her, angrboda and skjoldr so heres to hoping for her and angie to be atleast acquaintances!

some additional comments about this too: i think the responses to thrud's character isnt completely because of her per-say, but more so because of the "fandom" (outside of here) and how she has a lot of weirdos on her (which isnt her fault either, shes just a character at the end of the day and a lot of those people do too much and it comes off as very disingenuous) and i think as time goes on, more people are gonna see through this and be a little turned off on her which is unfortunate because it should never be that serious and im not gonna let those people override my liking for her, im just pointing out how i see things and how dudebros fuck everything up in their paths. (since the year started i've been listening to more slower tempo songs tbh and i dont have any current favorites atm so imma just say sade - kiss of life for now lol)

Summary: Ray and Norman (separate) as your boyfriend! This takes place at the house. I was going to write the temple and the human world as well, but it got super long pretty quick- If you’d like me to write for those settings as well let me know! Hope you enjoy. <3

Norman:

Confession:

I feel like Norman would be good at hiding it yet at the same time be obvious. You’d either be confused or oblivious.

Norman hangs out with you all day every day! You sit together during breakfast and dinner, play together, all of it!

When you guys play tag and Norman is it, he always saves you for last. He of course always knows where you are, but he likes to catch you after everyone else so he can spend some alone time with you.

Norman taught you some tricks, and you decided to try some of them out. You were busy covering up your tracks, when suddenly arms wrap around your waist. You let out a squeak, managing to hold in your scream. He leans closer to your ear. “Found you~”

He praises you for following his tips, but warns you to be more careful and aware.

If you’re it, you always find him last, even if he makes it easy for you. He’ll eventually give up altogether and not even hide, just walk around looking for you. Eventually you run up to him from behind. He easily hears you coming and smiles, turning around just in time for your hug attack.

“I finally found you!” “Yeah, you did! Good job!” He’d laugh at your cuteness and pat your head.

Eventually he decided he finally needed to tell you. You two were chilling in your room, when he eventually brings up the subject of crushes. “Hey.. Do you, uh, like anyone?”

You smiled and nodded, yet by your mischievous grin he could immediately tell you wouldn’t be telling him who it was anytime soon. You quickly turned the question on him and asked if he liked anyone. “Yeah, actually, I do. They’re the kindest and most beautiful person I know.” You gasped and begged him to tell you who it was. “Gosh, (Y/N), you’re so oblivious. It’s cute..” It took you a moment to register what he said, looking at him confused.

He offered a simple smile and took your chin between his thumb and pointer finger, raising your head up towards him. “It’s you, (Y/N). I love you so so much.”

You blushed and hid your face in his chest, quickly mumbling about how you feel the same. He laughed at your reaction and wrapped his arms around you, keeping you close.

First kiss:

I feel like he’d kiss you either during tag or when you two are cuddling.

He found you again, like always. You didn’t even scream anymore when he came up behind you and pulled you close. “I found you, my darling~” He whispered, yet his voice was deeper than usual. It made you freeze up as he laughed and turned you around. Then, before you knew it, his lips were on yours. You were in shock, though eventually melted into it.

The other children knew that it took you two a while to leave the forest, though it never took you guys this long! They were getting worried. Ray sighed and abandoned his book on the floor by the tree, taking his watch with him to search for you guys. He eventually found you two, lips connected and your back against a tree, though he wasn’t pinning you, both of his hands were on your face, which was currently as red as a tomato.

Ray rolled his eyes in annoyance and disgust. “Alright idiots, time’s up. The others are waiting on you.” You two pulled away and stared at him in shock, Ray laughing at the sight of your faces.

The three of you eventually walked out, Ray still snickering as you two were still bright red and holding hands.

If you and Norman were cuddling, it would happen when both of you are already half asleep.

He’d put his hand gently on your cheek. “(Y/N)…” He’d whisper in his sleepy voice. “I love you. So much..” And he’d peck your lips, pulling you into his side before passing out. Your face was heating up and you smiled, pecking his lips even though he was asleep. “I love you too, Norman..” and you’d fall fast asleep with him.

Ray:

Confession:

Like Norman, you two hang out all day everyday! Sitting together at breakfast and dinner, sitting at the tree together whilst everyone else plays tag, reading in the library together.

He won’t really hide it, instead being pretty blunt and obvious. Though if it were to be brought up he’d get defensive real quick.

You get called an idiot 24/7, yet you never hear his mumbles about you being his idiot.

When you guys are reading together, he’ll let you put your head against his shoulder or lean against him. He’ll even read to you if you ask. Bonus points if you fall asleep on him, he’ll fall for you even more. Yet he’d never show it.

You two definitely fall asleep in the library together, and you’re always confused when you wake up with you two tangled together. Ray would pretend to be confused too, yet he secretly cuddled up to you.

If you praise him, he’ll brush it off and turn his back to you, calling you an idiot. But little do you know that his face is tinted pink, with a small smile on his face.

He’d never let Mom find out about how much he loves you. He wouldn’t survive if you got hurt in any way, especially because of Mom.

He’s jealous and protective as hell, barely being able to stand it when someone gets too close to you. May even get in a fight with someone over it.

Challenge him, he loves it. Loves making deals too. “I bet I can reach the fence before you do!” “Oh yeah?” “Mhm!” “Alright, if I win you have to do whatever I say for the rest of the day. If you win I have to do whatever you say for the rest of the day. Deal?” “Deal!”

He obviously won. He made you do embarrassing things that’ll make you blush, like making you lay close to him (even though you guys do that all the time), sitting on his lap, stuff like that.

I think this is the way he’d confess tbh.

“You have to kiss me.” “What?!” “I said, you have to kiss me.” “But-!” “But what? There a problem? Something holding you back?” He eventually got you to accidentally blurt out that the problem was that you liked him. You didn’t even realize you said it until you noticed him staring at you with a satisfied smirk, thinking back to what you could’ve said to make him smile like that.

When you finally realize your face is completely red. You run out and hide from him, not giving him a chance to confess that he felt the same. He also never got that kiss. He’d have to change that!

First kiss:

The next day, he finally found you alone in the library. He smiled and went over to you, trapping you in his arms. “Ray-!” “Sh, let me talk, idiot.”

You soon stopped struggling and shut up, letting him speak. “I like you too, dumbass. Plus, you never gave me that kiss.” You blushed and quickly pecked his lips before hiding your face.

He smiled and lifted your head, staring into your eyes. He gave you a longer lasting kiss before finally letting you go. You ran behind him and shoved him, of course not making him fall but temporarily stunning him with shock, running out the library screaming “Idiot!!”

“Hm, guess my ray of sunshine wants to play tag.” He eventually found you in your room, trapping you again. “Does this mean you’re mine now?” You huffed and nodded, making him chuckle. “I’m glad..”

Personal anxiety rant (for me not you - I am soft pls do not yell at me)

I have not done one of these for a very long time - didn’t even think I’d still be on this website if I thought there would be a next time from the last time but I felt like I needed to do this now personally so don’t mind me. I actually feel terrible that I am doing this after not having to for so many years but here tf we are now it’s happening

Sometimes I feel like I’m at the stage in my life where I’m not sure how I should be living anymore. I know I should be happy - and trust me, I do take up every opportunity I can to do things that make me happy even if it’s the smallest things in life or checking off items on my list of things I wanted to do like 10 years ago or even when I was a kid-

…but these days it also feels like I’m living in a box. And I just don’t know what’s going to end up happening to me. I’m supposed to be an adult now I guess (don’t ask my age, I’ve been an adult for quite some time). I don’t like looking at how other people are doing either solely for comparison - that actually sends me into a worse whirlwind of thoughts and frightens me. But sometimes I just see things or run into people and can’t help but look up every now and then before I go back to being an ostrich and sticking my head back in the sand to spend time with my own thoughts. I often think too that I spend too much time with those thoughts these days - don’t get to talk about them as much irl now since I’m afraid of being judged or pitied which honestly would be a lot worse but what’s worse than keeping all of this pent up inside until my mind eventually explodes?

I don’t get to talk to as many people now - whether it’s people I know or don’t know. Not that I want to talk with a lot of people now - I’m still the same introvert as always who would rather fall into a black hole than initiate a new conversation with a new person. I love my job now but don’t get to talk much with anyone my age. I’ve been told to put myself “out there” more but each day I really question more and more what tf that means for someone like me who’s scared in general of the world? I know I should slow down and take one day, one hour, one minute at a time but often I find it harder and harder to do

I liked it when I had friends to talk to in school - honestly even this website when it wasn’t as scary with all the sp*mb*ts lurking at every corner and the fandoms I used to be active in were more alive and photoshop/gif making/developing fanwork was still a hobby I enjoyed

I think this suddenly became a mess of thoughts here that I don’t know if I want to go on with but if you’re still reading, then fcking kudos to you - this is me putting everything I feel right now on a page for me alone and not directing it towards anyone whatsoever. Not to say either that I’m not thankful for all the good things I’ve had or continue to have now in my life - of course I fcking am but what tf am I supposed to do these thoughts I’ve been spending so much time with since the day I was given a new path I haven’t been sure how to step on

Hi. Destiny! I came with peace 😊 so pls don't be mad at me. I have a little favor to ask. You know, we often say here "c'mon people, stop taking twitter haters/film bros seriously 'cause they are very very loud and toxic minority of the internet". Well, twitter and tumblr Tom stans are NOT the majority of the fandom either (same with Z stans and TZ shippers). Like at all. And those who actively post are an even smaller slice. And those of them who constantly write nasty things? It's like 1% of that slice🤏. So when you and your anons discuss how many of Tom fans did this or that pls🙏 do not exaggerate and be a little bit more specific. Cuz "many of Tom fans did something" and it's pretty much always like 2 blogs and 10 asks here and 4 same noisy accs on twitter (who call themselves his fans but shit on him every week. we all already know their names). And that's it. Looks not so "many" for me😏. The rest of boycotting TCR tweets and making fun of his look tweets or asks (i agree there were plenty of those) were not really from TOM fans but more like from GP, locals and not so friendly Z stans. As always.

That's fair enough Anon. I agree that it's not ALL of Tom's fans who are bashing his choices, or are behaving a certain way. I really shouldn't generalize.

Okay, I'm going to go with some #REALTALK here...so sorry if I offend anyone or step on toes, but I'm always 100% HONEST here on my blog.

***WARNING: Unpopular Opinion Coming Through***

I just find that with Tom's fandom in particular, it just seems like his fans don't trust him for some reason. 🥴 I feel like a lot of his fans infantilize him to a massive degree in fact. He's a 26 year old MAN...he's not some little boy. But I get the overwhelming feeling sometimes that his fans think they know better than he does about what he wants to do, or what he should do. Idk...it's just weird to me. 🥴 Why not just trust him and his decisions? Even if you didn't particularly like a project of his, maybe HE liked it and wanted to work with a particular director/actor or just simply liked the script?? 🤷🏾‍♀️

I'm pretty sure the same thing probably goes on in other actor's fandoms as well, but I can only speak to Tom's fandom since I've been part of his fandom heavily for almost 6 years now. I even compare it to the other male fandoms that I've been apart of in the past, and even currently, and to me it just seems like Tom gets way more pressure from his fans/fandom than some other fandoms out here. That's all. While other fandoms seem to just let their faves just "be" and are CHILL about whatever new project or thing they have going on in their life, I find that Tom (and Zendaya's fandom tbh) freak out over the smallest little things. 😔 Take the LV (possibility) for example. So many fans ready to hate on Z possibly switching from Valentino to LV. Like, we don't even know any details yet, but some already are crying, complaining, or getting "anxious". That is just SO much pressure on these two individuals. Can't y'll just let them BE?? 👀

Sorry for the vent session, but that's just how I personally feel about the fandom. And maybe you're right, maybe it's just a very SELECT small FEW (a minority) who behave this way. Unfortunately, this "minority" is a very vocal one.....

7. Gabriella's turtleneck

Idk what can i say, it just feels very Gabriella! It's fitting for her, and it's just a super nice color. I used to pretty firmly believe I wouldn't look good in a turtleneck (and tbh i don't really own many sweaters anyway) but i've warmed up to it the past couple years and i think im gonna get myself a nice one for the coming winter

6. Delilah's dress

I mean Delilah's probably my favorite RH character (not doll specifically but character) just based on her description (according to the fandom wiki, im like 99% sure i saw it on mga's website too at one point but now i cant find it??) being a sweet blue ridge country gal and all and like. What's more country blue ridge mountain buttercup than her dress tbh. It's just so pretty and delicate, it's one of those pieces i almost never wanna take off once its on a doll just bc its so nice. Also shoutout to her boots I will always shoutout cowboy boots

5. Tie between Daria's doc martens and jacket

Tbh i was going back and forth and which should be here bc I didn't wanna put 2 pieces from the same doll in 2 spots, but i think this spot fits them both bc i like them for largely the same reasons- they look good with a lot of my other dolls (not jist RH but a couple of my ooak monster highs) and they're pieces I'd want irl. Ive been trying to get my hands on some boots that are close enough to doc martens (even if they arent bc if they look cool idgaf abt the actual brand) and i got pretty close at a thrift store, but they were one size too small 😔 anyway good pieces. Shoutoht to Daria she was one of my first rh dolls

4. Sheryl's jacket

Hot (or possibly cold idk) take I don't think there's a single bad piece in either of Sheryl's outfits. They're all perfect. I have not yet seen clueless but its been in my "movies i need to watch over quarantine" list that i made in april 2020 since the beginning and i think this is a sign to watch it. Anyway the jacket's here bc it's the most iconic part imo, but like also shoutout to both of her heels, all of her 2nd outfit, the sheer top i've used for like four separate dolls outfits, the earrings, the belt, literally everything else etc etc

3. Krystal's Fishnets

This one's pretty simple- her fishnets are just really versatile! They're like real life fishnets. Goes with a lot! Looks good on pretty much anyone! Improves any situation! Fits my monster high ooaks! They also look great in them!

2. Natasha's fur coat

SO glamorous SO perfect literally everything i need to know about a character can fit in a fur coat. Ik theres other fur coats in rh but idc this is my fav. And also the only one in my collection but idc its the best one idc idc idc

1. Uma's hat

Uma holds a special place in my heart for the simple fact that she is a guitarist. And i am a guitarist. And we have similar hats. <3 but also like none of my other rh dolls have hats and hats for dolls are just good accessories but ESPECIALLY this hat specifically. Idk it just rly brings together the edgy punk kinda thing and she might feel incomplete without it tbh. But also i lile it bc its a lot like my favorite hat <3

(Also. Like sheryl. I don't think theres a single bad or mediocre piece in Uma's set? Maaaybe her kinda plain 1st outfit heels but they look good w the rest of the outfit tbh. Shoutout to her coat and skirt and earrings and spiked bracelet and shirts that i struggled not to put on this list also bc i didnt want 1 doll in 2 spots)

What book are you currently reading?

For pleasure I'm currently on book seven out of a ten on an alien romance series. It's a 7/10, score elevated for world building. I might of started this series a week and a half ago. Now I'm just invested to finish.

If we're talking actual books on my TBR at the moment it's wuthering heights, catch-22, Mormons and the Swastika, your country and my country And I want to re-read cinder from the lunar chronically again.

For school I just finished reading, class of ‘74 and two presidents Fords bibliographies. Wouldn't recommend very boring and honestly the man was out of touch but hey being out of touch makes for very good minority house speakers who accidentally end up president.

Needless to say I read a lot, a lot for school, a lot of newspapers, a lot of trashy romance books and every so often I get an actual good non romance book in the mix. But it is those romance books that resparked my love of reading so credit where credits is due they are very good at emotional investment.

What’s your favorite movie that you saw in theatres this year?

Hands down everything everywhere all at once, that shit made me cry and I bought a second ticket to take my partner to it. Other good movies I saw this year, the new Netflix Pinocchio, the glass onion, Vengeance, and Bullet Train. Some of those are deep, others are just high quality and amusing stories.

What do you usually wear?

If the weather permits I like to wear skirts. Everyone thinks you're dolled up and nice but in reality I'm just lazy.

On a good day, 5’5.

I'm very good at understanding the American news/politics lol often times family and freinds ask me to update them and explain why the information I included is important to them.

I'll probably always have a dog until I die but I'm a cat person though and though.

Creating content for hetalia wether I post it or not has always made me happy. No other fandom really does it for me…..and it's been years I've tried and accepted my fate.

Shitty alien romance. Can't get enough of them, my whole seven week reading streak on KU is because of them.

Edit one week later: finished that series and am now 3/4 on a new one.

I don't think I've revealed that I oil paint to anyone online. Also I'm a cat whisper, I haven't met one that hates me yet.

No, raised Mormon picked up one middle school history book and lost the faith. I can understand the values that it can bring into a person's life but I did not find any value in it for me.

was that ana hikari? Oh no no, that was just binx choppley, a canon character from a court of fey and flowers. They are unknown/appears twenty seven years old, use she/they, and are aware that they are not actually from Washington DC. Too bad they can’t stray from this city for long.

what is your character’s job

she owns a shop that sells random trinkets. it comes off as an odd sort of antique shop or thrift shop. though they don’t need people to bring/sell the shop items binx isn’t against it either. she also will take commissions to craft objects or outfits for people but they don’t advertise that much.

where has your character been pulled from in their fandom

the current point of the show which is episode 8. i will probably continue to update binx as the show continues to come out

okay hear me out i know this is a niche character so i’m going to info dump on y’all

binx choppley is a fey of the court of craft. in their world all the fae exist in a regency era sort of world with ladies and lords and courts.

she is also the last fey of her court, making them technically the leader.

they are almost entirely certain their court was killed on purpose, that another court stole their magic leaving the rest of the court stuck in the human realm, which eventually led the fey to turn into objects.

the last weaver of fate (the title of the leader of their court) turned into a tree. binx’s sister turned into a haunted house

binx was never made to be a leader. her job was bringing blankets and cocoa to her court members after a long day until one day there was no one left

they managed to survive by essential becoming a warlock patron, and making a feedback loop in which she gave magic to mortals, and got some magic back in return

so so sweet and down to earth but also pretty guarded. when they showed up at the bloom (sort of a big festival with all the courts) to confirm how hers disappeared she showed up disguised as a different fey in order to avoid any issues

so binx doesn’t trust super easily, and can be extremely blunt will speak their mind no matter what

can craft nearly anything in like the course of an hour

a fey of lost things and liminal spaces. when an object goes missing behind a drawer or gets left on a train or something of that ature it will often show up in binx’s shop a day or two later

technically she’s got moth wings but i’m gonna have them concealed with a glamor all the time, they just also provide a way for her to store things

they’re definitely worried about being in the mortal realm when certain fey are trying to get rid of magic flowing into this existence, but is also kinda relived because they’re way more comfortable around humans than other fey

possible connections

employees/work connections: if anyone wants to work at her store binx could definitely use one or two people, but also anyone who comes in semi regularly would also be cool

warlocks??: so this one is a bit much but if anyone decides they want their character to have magic binx can give those sorts of powers, to an extent. she wouldn’t give them to just anyone, it would need to be someone they find trustworthy, but it’s definitely something i’d be down to plot

any friends at all: pls they’ve been on their own for a hot minute some people to just get along with would be awesome

accidental enemy: like i said binx is real blunt and could def step on some toes and upset someone without meaning to

re: being exhausted by fandom. i’m also in the 25+ crowd and i see a lotttt of people my age acting so fucking tiresome on here and twitter etc and it resulted in me trying to ~curate~ my social media experience and unfollowing an absurd amount of people. but i just have to say- you are one of the few people out there who make it bearable and fun and a joyful experience to still be a part of 💓💓💓

Omg babes you are BRAVE for dealing with the twitter side of the fandom….. there’s pockets of good but I come across some really insane shit on there (and that’s saying a lot coming from me and my goofy takes). I hate to sound like such an old fart but I can’t hang with the 18-24 crowd most of the time, which is so fine, bc what the hell do I even have in common with them lol. I have a handful of pals and mutuals I’ve been lucky enough to form a bond with where they’re in their younger twenties, bc we’re all v open minded and empathetic (or try to be at least?), but I unfollowed the majority of the younger fans, and I know a good chunk of them don’t care for me either. All good, you can’t be liked by everyone!

And I’m the same, I try really hard to curate a good fandom experience for myself. I think a lot of us that are 25+ seem to do that, bc we just wanna be a part of the genuinely enjoyable aspects of fandom! A lot of us grew up in fandoms, and even newer folks who get into fandom at a later age are valid too! So it’s nice to be among others who are on the same wavelength. I had a hard time finding any friends on the ~bad side~ of 25 (sry that Patrick stump song is stuck in my head gjfhgkjdslfjslg), but it’s been nice to connect with more mutuals and pals closer to my age! Though i do respect that someone being younger doesn’t automatically mean they’re not smart or anything like some older fandom folks think. I respect a lot of the changes the younger crowd has brought into fandom in general the last several years, and some of my fave takes from people come from like. Those that are 20/21.

Sorry I’m rambling i just wanted to clarify that for anyone reading these, pls nobody start an age war in my ask bonks pls.

Anyway. Thank you for sharing this anon, it helps a lot to know we’re not alone with this stuff, even if it is silly fandom stuff! So many of us use this as a way to escape and cope with our real lives, it should be fun, it should be creative, it should be respectful, and i really wish some fans, both young and old, would get that. :(

honestly THANK YOU for saying all that abt baghra bc i thought i was going crazy from not liking her??? bc i haven't read the books and only summaries of them on wiki and like. i dunno why ppl like her actually even in the show bc this guy, her son, is like "i wanna make the world better for us grisha" and she's just like "no." even tho he sees that she's MAKING HERSELF SICK from suppressing her powers! she's literally like in bed coughing in the flashback yet seem much healthier at the little palace. also like after everything, after her disapproval, after the fold, after centuries of waiting for the sun summoner.. he never abandons her. he makes sure she's cares for. he doesn't harm her. and i have to wonder if baghra has ever thanks him for that, for just not leaving her alone. like i dunno how im suppose ro believe aleks is a heartless villain when he still cares for his abusive mom like this. like has baghra even told her she loved him (honestly she reminds me of a classic emotionally unavailable asian parent but maybe that's just me). also im wondering if baghra ever told aleks that he had an aunt.. bc like.. now that u bring up her isolating him it's like hmmmm...

not at me being like alina... why do u trust the bitter old woman who literally beats u with a stick and verbally abuses u every chance she gets.. just bc she showed a bad painting... like.. pls use two braincells to see that who u figured out as his mother... is also using his protection..

like baghra could've upped and left with alina. but no. she stayed bc she knew she was safe under aleks's protection.

alsoim just impressed that after his first friend tried to drown him and harvest his bones... he didn't go into hiding???? he still wanted to make a safe heaven for grisha!!! HE STILL WANTED TO PROTECT GRISHA EVEN AFTER HIS GRISHA FRIEND TRIED TO KILL HIM FOR HIS FUCKEN BONES. like... this is the guy im suppose to believe is the villain???

honestly i feel like part of the reason why LB's plotlines seem so bad and disconnected (and sometimes outright racist but that's another rant) and why darkles is disproportionately more violent and villainous in the later books is bc she didn't expect the darkling to be so popular and wanted to stick with her guns of making him the villain. but also wanted the money from aleks's popularity. but like you can't have ur cake and eat it too.

Well thank you for sending this ask! It's very sweet and very passionate. I'm glad you liked my post! I didn't put as much thought into it as some of my others lol. I kind of just talked. But it was nice to be able to finally talk about some of the problems I have with both her character and the fandom/author's perception of her.

HERE is the post this is referring to, in case anyone's wondering.

👀👀 You've hit the nail on the head for so many things, here!

Baghra is extremely emotionally unavailable, basically to the point of neglect. She's also verbally and physically abusive, traits which I doubt were only reserved for her students and not her son. Baghra claims she would do anything to protect him, but I've known a lot of parents who have that mindset and yet still harm their children because they think it's "good for them".

Aleksander stays at Baghra's side for years, and even when they're opposing each other she's never too far away from him. Idk if you've read the books but he does eventually hurt her. And as much as I don't like Baghra, I think his actions were horrid. But I'm also honestly kind of surprised it took him so long lmao.

Yeah I mean, in terms of isolation, let's not forget that she never wanted to introduce him to his father, either. Baghra's sense of eternity clouds a lot of her judgments on relationships, which means she views most people as dust and therefore teaches her son to as well. The problem with that is that he's a growing child, and he needs those social and emotional attachments for healthy development.

I would bet quite a bit of money that Baghra has either never told him she loves him or she has told him so few times it's practically forgettable.

And everything becomes more complicated because so many of Baghra's actions are understandable because of her life and her history, but the impacts they have on the people around her, especially Aleksander, are permanently damaging. And the fact that that's never gone over in critical depth in the books or how it's glossed over in fandom is just very disconcerting. Like, acknowledging Baghra's failings doesn't mean we're excusing Aleksander's actions, it just means we're holding Baghra liable for her own. Which the fandom should be doing, considering she's the epitome of an abusive parental figure.

And Alina trusting Baghra over Aleksander is even more confusing! Especially in the show!! This is the woman who beat her and abused her and tortured her friends when they tiny little children (and who probably still does so now that they're adults). This is the woman who mocks you and harasses you and insults you on a regular basis. Why does Baghra revealing she's Aleksander's mother make Alina change her mind?! Like fuck, I'd just feel bad for Aleksander. No wonder he kept it a secret, I would too! And that painting is enough evidence?! Really?! A random painting shown to you by this abusive mentor that's been making your life hell. That's what you're going to betray your new lover over?

The friends trying to harvest his bones thing is a good point, too. I think Aleksander, especially show Aleksander, is incredibly idealistic. I think he cares too much for others - those he's deemed worth his care (a sentiment given to him by Baghra). Despite everything she's tried to teach him about hiding and abandoning others and never caring and never doing anything to help or reach out or connect with people, Aleksander still continues to do so. It's likely because he never got it from Baghra growing up, and so is desperate for those emotional needs to be fulfilled elsewhere.

His turning point, when Baghra tells him it was understandable that those kids tried to kill him because the world is such a hard place for them - that's crucial. And the reason it's possible as a motivating factor is because of that idealism and that desire to help and that desire to be everything his mother isn't. Baghra tells him this trauma he just experienced was because of the oppression of his people, and instead of following her lead and accepting that, going into hiding and abandoning everybody to their misery, he goes I can do something about that. I can make it so this never happens again. Which is usually how trauma like that combines with one's core personality traits at a young age, especially when there's none of the essential support systems in place to aid in recovery (ie, the role Baghra should have been filling but wasn't, because she decided to exacerbate the problem instead).

And yeah, one of my biggest problems with the ham-fisted "beating you over the head with a sledgehammer of evil deeds" look-how-bad-this-character-is! portrayal of the Darkling in the later books comes from the impression I get that Bardugo doesn't trust her readers. She's so desperate to have us hate this character and think him an irredeemable villain, not trusting any of her readers to engage critically with a morally gray character, that it feels quite a bit like condescending fucking bullshit. Which ew, I know how to engage with literature, thanks.

She really does seem to look down on a large part of her fandom, and imo, the infantilization of the female characters in her books seems to carry over to her impression of most of her female readers as well. Which is why the Darkling's character arc gets fucking destroyed. But he's still a good cash grab, of course, so she'll shake his dead corpse in front of the fandom for money every time she wants something from it.

Also! Another reason I think her plotlines feel disconnected (I'm sorry Bardugo I respect you as a person, but shit-) is because the writing in SaB is just bad. I mean, nevermind the absolutely nauseating implications of the way she portrays the Grisha as a persecuted group who's situation is never actually fully addressed as it should be, considering Grisha rights is what her main villain is fighting for (imo for a series called the Grishaverse, LB seems to be pretty anti Grisha), but her characters and story alone are just wrong for each other. They don't fit together.

And the ending is one of the main pieces of evidence in that regard! You can’t say the ending where Alina isn’t Grisha anymore is her “going back to where she started” when she’s always been Grisha. She just didn’t know she was Grisha because she denied that part of herself that she was born with.

Alina is reluctant to move forward or change, she struggles with adapting, and she’s very set on the things she’s grown attached to throughout her life. She also has some latent prejudices against the Grisha, and so denies the possibility of being Grisha for those reasons as well.

Alina’s lack of powers in the beginning of her life because she willfully doesn’t learn about them to avoid change versus her lack of powers at the end of the book when she’s accepted them and then they’re stripped away from her by outer forces are two entirely separate circumstances. You can’t make a parallel about lost powers and lack of Grisha status bringing her back to the start when she was always Grisha and she always had powers and she simply refused to come to terms with it because of personal reasons.

The first situation is an internal conflict that indicates a story about growth and a journey of self acceptance. Denying herself the opportunity to learn about her heritage and to find acceptance with a group of people like her because she’s tied to the past and because of the way she was raised is the setup for a narrative that tackles unlearning prejudice and learning how to connect with a part of her identity that was denied her and learning how to grow independent and self assured. It’s the setup for a different story entirely. The second situation is an external conflict that centers around the ‘corrupting influence of power’... for some reason.

In a world where Grisha do not have social, political, or economic power and they are hunted, centering your heroine’s journey of self acceptance and growth around an external conflict about... the corrupting influence of power (in a group of people that don’t actually have any power?!) just doesn’t work. It is literally impossible to connect the two stories Bardugo is trying to push in Shadow and Bone without seriously damaging the main character’s developmental arc.

The only way a narrative like this would work, claiming that she has gone back to where she started, is either a) if the Grisha weren’t actually a persecuted group and instead were apart of the upper class, or b) if the one bad connection between the two instances is acknowledged - that Alina denied a part of herself crucial to self acceptance and growing up, and that losing her powers at the end has also denied her. It is a tragedy, not a happy ending.

Alina suffered because she didn’t use her powers. She grew sick. It was bad for her. This was not a resistance to 'the corruption of power and the burden of greed', it was her suffering because she couldn’t fully accept herself.

Framing the ending as a return to the beginning can’t be done if you don’t address how bad the beginning was for your main character. You brought her back to a bad point in her life. You regressed her. This should be a low point in her arc. It should be a problem that’s solved so she can finish developing organically or it should be something that is acknowledged as a tragedy in it’s own right, for the future the world (the writing) denied her.

This is a ramble and it makes no sense and I’m really sorry, but my point is that Bardugo put the wrong characters in the wrong story. The character arc required for organic development doesn’t match the story and intended message at all. The narrative doesn’t fit the cast. She's got two clashing stories attempting to work in tandem and she ends up with both conflicting messages that fans still can’t comprehend in her writing and an ending that doesn’t suit her main character to such an impossible degree that it’s almost laughable.

So yeah, there's a few reasons why I think the story and the plot feels so bad and disconnected. I hope you don't mind me making this answer so long! 😅 I was not expecting to write this much.

i wish that older fandom members, especially “fandom moms,” would act less attacked when minors express uncomfortable feelings abt them. like, yeah, older ppl are allowed to have hobbies and nobody should criticize them, but when you’re an adult (i’m talking post-college) you automatically have a power imbalance with any kid that interacts with you.

and that’s not inherently bad, but it’s not something that u can dismiss just like that. especially when that power has been used and abused tons and tons of times. not to say kids and teenagers can’t do stupid, hurtful shit either. but there’s a specific brand of harm that can be done by an older person who thinks they’re in the right.

i guess i’m saying that kids are allowed to be wary of u. they’re allowed to crack jokes abt “fandom moms” being so old, so out of touch. they’re allowed not to interact with you. it’s not cool to make fun of anyone’s interests, old or not. but i’ve always seen this underlying fear in some of those jokes. get out of here, some are saying. i’m scared of you.

everyone has different boundaries and experiences. there’s no right or wrong way to interact with minors or adults. there’s definitely nothing wrong with being an adult fan. but pls be aware of the power dynamic. pls be aware that many ppl in your position have hurt kids, and that kids--reasonably--don’t want to be hurt again.

when we say “fandom moms are so weird” it’s not a personal attack. when we mock adults with hogwarts houses in their bios, it’s not a personal attack. and when people call out the pattern of older fans being racist/ableist/antisemitic/cult-y, it’s not about you. yes, you might not be any of those things. and it might hurt to feel compared to them.

and yes. anyone is allowed to be a fan. no one should be ousted from a fan space unless they do harm. age doesn’t stop u from enjoying things. but fandom is not a place insulated from the real world. it echoes it. fandom is not always a safe space.

not all adults are bad. not all adults are creepy. but adults are adults, and kids are allowed to see u and step away. they’re allowed to set boundaries. and they’re allowed to crack jokes abt their experiences.

just move on. find ppl who are comfortable around u. and hold other adult fans accountable, because the thing u can do with ur power is use it for good.

heyyyyyy okay so, i’ve never actually done a sleepover type thing for any milestones or anything like that just because it seemed like a lot of work + i was super scared of no one really interacting because i didn’t have that much of a following but now that i’ve missed many opportunities and i wanna make myself feel better about going back to school— i’ve finally decided to :)

ahh this might sound a but controversial i guess? but i’ll give my two cents anyway.

first of all, i want to say that i kinda disagree with this as a whole: i think that realistically the fact that they love each other couldn’t have been clearer if we take into account levi and hanji as characters. they’re awkward adults, we’re never getting a kiss on screen. they’d probably hold hands at 50. and even if we got a fucking kiss you can bet your ass there’d be people saying they kissed platonically, as they seem to say with literally every single one of their interactions. nothing new here.

secondly, and this is something i’ve wanted to say for a really long time, i feel like sometimes us levihans accidentally downplay what happens between them, i think out of fear of being harassed or because the harassment got to us subconsciously. i know because i’ve done it myself in the past.

let me put it in this perspective: why is it that we as a fandom feel the need to somehow “justify” our meta posts by adding a bit about how “their bond can be taken as platonic” every single time? you don’t see others do it with other ships. it’s only us lmao and ughhh i’m kinda over it i guess? now that the series is over i can finally let it out so pls bear with me :’) i’m not, in absolutely any way, saying you have to read levihan as romantic, but at the same time i feel like sometimes we kinda force ourselves to see it in that perspective too when talking about it publicly out of subconscious fear of getting weirdos coming at us, when other shippers simply don’t do it: they just say “yo it’s canon” and peacefully go on about their day. but with levihan it’s different hhhh there’s always this wanting to remark about how their interactions can be read both as platonic and romantic. as if it’s offensive to consider them exclusively romantic, you feel?

i’m coming clean, i never saw them platonically. never. sorry if it upsets some 🤸 i find it weird how when it comes to levihan people seem to insist that seeing them as anything more than friends is “ruining their friendship”, as if relationships aren’t supposed to be rooted in friendships lmao are y’all marrying strangers or something??? and yeah this strong insistence again is only seen with levihan and NO other ships. i wonder why.

i feel like this last chapter was the “nail in the coffin”, borrowing this expression from the dear anon from yesterday who had to say so many nice things to me.

and i mean it positively! at this point i honestly believe it’s more forced to believe levihan to be ambiguous and unresolved rather than not. we haven’t had an explicit declaration of love from anyone that’s not falco. hell, not even eren explicitly said “i love you” nor did mikasa lmao so yeah i’m kinda over people not keeping the same energy for levihan despite them having the most interaction out of all the characters, despite getting a scene where one of them literally wants to elope with the other, despite getting a confession from one of them hidden in a silly grammar particle, despite the author going out of his way to change a kanji in that same sentence to make it emotionally deeper, despite one of them doing a modified salute with dead eyes, despite the other looking as if they got the sudden realization of their lives, despite one looking completely dead inside staring at his hands until the battle, despite one being at the center of his memories standing out in the sea of light hair and smiles with dark hair and the most sorrowful expression, despite all the mf parallels with other two characters complete with the same words and the same pose distribution in the panels, despite one looking at a plane wistfully and getting paralleled with another character looking at a bird. do i have to go on? and this is only in the last arc. come on. let’s not pretend as if there are no romantic tropes, let’s not pretend as if if it were any other ship people’d be all over them. we can do it now that the manga is over, come on. come on.

to me, it’s clear as day, nothing ambiguous at all. not since chapter 126, and i’m tired of pretending it is lol and to be really really honest i feel like at this point you have to be either a speedreader or in complete denial as a rival shipper if you seriously downplay everything we got in this final arc especially.

again, just my two cents! levihan might not be endgame, but it is canon and they canonically love each other and there is nothing ambiguous about it, point blank.
