Imagine: what it would be like to be Miguel’s son and a spider-man along with venom, spider-venom? Idk guys

Warnings: mention of death, mention of parent death, mention of injuries, father Miguel O’Hara, idk what else, not proofread

A/N keep in mind the first part of this is before Gabriella died. Second I am aware that Miguel has a son somewhere out there in the comics, third don’t mind me referencing Moon Knight in some parts, lastly this is actually based on one of my ocs, but I made this fic x reader instead :)

Side note: I did imagine reader to be male (like my oc is) but I made it gn!reader so that everyone can read it

You lived on earth-TRN1042 (is that the name, it was when I searched it up, might be wrong tho), with you father Miguel O’Hara and your sister Gabriella O’Hara

Your canon event as tragic as it is was to watch as your father died — which would eventually lead you to become Spider-Man

You’d been bitten a few days prior and was still adjusting to the whole power thing

But we are getting ahead of ourselves, Here’s the thing Miguel (earth-928) lost his family on his earth and when he found out a way to go into other earths he found your earth. The one where he still had a happy family

His original plan was to just watch from afar, but when your father died, Miguel made the rash decision to take your fathers place, which didn’t go as smoothly as he thought, after all you had watched your father die

At first you thought you were going crazy when you first saw Miguel, apparently he’d been with your sister all day. You didn’t trust him one but, you knew for a fact your father was dead so when you saw him playing with Gabriella and her dolls you were in shock, you’d told Gabriella to go to her room, once she did the interrogation started, you’d felt your father take his last breath so you sure as hell would find out who this imposter was.

“Who are you?”

“I’m your father”

“No, no, no, no, I watched my father die, who are you?”

Miguel knew you wouldn’t stop your interrogation until you knew what was going on, this led to him giving you a long explanation about different earths, his family and everything in between, how he got his powers and literally his whole life story, only to ensure that you would let him stay, he wouldn’t stay against your wishes

You let him stay, not only because you knew what loss felt like, but you hadn’t told Gabriella yet and you didn’t know how you could tell her that her actual father was dead, and it would prove to be good to have an adult raise your little sister with you, so you let Miguel stay, eventually you saw him as your father too, Gabrielle being none the wiser when it came to her fathers true identity.

The first time you called Miguel “dad” or something alike, he was overjoyed

Miguel didn’t really enjoy you going out to beat bad guys up but he never told you not to, he knew why you did it so he never stopped you, and he used to do it so it would be kinda hypocritical of him to force you to stop, instead he’d be at home, and every time you snuck in through your window you could find Miguel in the living room ready to patch you up, telling you of every time for being reckless and getting hurt so many times

Don’t be offended when he calls you an “reckless idiot” (he’d probably say it in Spanish though) when you get home nearly half dead (Miguel might of overreacted a bit)

It was around this time when you started to get memory gaps from time to time, some fights you didn’t even remember how you defeated the enemy, and some days you woke up in an alleyway, (kinda like Steven in episode one of moon knight)

Before it all went to shit I’d like to think that Miguel gave up on the spider-man part of him and was just a single dad with his two kids working a boring job — not at Alcehmax, he won’t do that mistake again

You all lived rather peacefully for the most part, you’d help Gabriella get better at football/soccer, going to an ice cream shop every time after one of Gabriella’s matches, loss or win didn’t matter there was always ice cream after a match.

And then in a single day it all got taken away from you, in just a couple of minutes all you had ever known was gone

Your whole earth started to disappear along with the people in it, you’d been out on your daily spider-man patrols when it happened, you saw your father/Miguel running with Gabriella and so instead of trying to stop whatever was happening — or more like knowing you couldn’t stop it as you had no clue what it was — you went into the direction of your family.

And when your sister disappeared you didn’t know what to do anymore, Miguel at least able to think somewhat took your hand and soon enough you were on earth-928, and from a screen you watched as your dimension disappeared into nothingness

This left many questions and problems but the question you were mostly focused on was the fact that you hadn’t disappeared

Turns out the spider that bit you had bonded (idk if this works but it does now) with a symbiote — Venom — who was from another earth, and when the spider bit you, you’d not only gained spider-powers but Venom transferred over to you and the two of you bonded, this changed your DNA and caused you to be able to coexist on your own earth along with the earth that Venom was from (does this make sense ain’t got a single clue)

Turns out Venom hadn’t made an appearance (to your knowledge and Miguel’s) because he protected you whenever you couldn’t yourself, and all those memory gaps that you had was the times that Venom had taken over (you know kinda like Jake with Steven and Marc in Moon Knight)

Fast forward a bit and you’d joined the spider-society

You had learned to coexist with Venom, it took some time but it worked out in the end, at first people would think you were crazy as you yelled at nothing (except for you you were talking to Venom who was speaking inside your mind), a lot of spider-people stayed away from you not wanting to be near Venom as he is supposed to be a villain, but when they realized you were one of the good guys they stopped avoiding you and Venom

Venom would deny it to his grave but he is extremely protective over you, if anyone hurt you he wouldn’t hesitate to hurt/kill/eat them

Miguel also became way more protective, after he lost Gabriella he only had you left and he would only send you out on the easy missions — that is until you snuck out on one of their worsts missions and got hurt because no one else new you were there — cue Miguel letting you go on dangerous missions so that you wouldn’t sneak out again and possibly die, at leas if he knew where you were he could make sure you didn’t die.

Not only did Miguel become more grumpy and strict with all the rules, you also become a lot more grumpy as you grieved your sister, and friends

And then all the shit with Miles happened but that’s for part 2,3 (part 2 siding with Miles, part 3 siding with Miguel idk which will come out first)

Idk but creep teacher zhongli and his obsessed son xiao…

It was weird to even imagine him and his son having the same taste in girls, but if anything it made what they had to do a lot easier, Because hey..two hands are better than one, right?

Zhongli was first to take a quick liking to you. He seen that you kept to yourself, but still tried when it mattered most of the time. And as a teacher, he thought it was cute when you’d be slumped in the back of class or hiding your face to rest.

To be frank,… it was so easy.

He’s your teacher, so ofc you wouldn’t question when his hand would linger on your plump hips, Or when he always asked you to stay after class just for you sit directly under him as he rubbed along your thick thighs. At that point u did ask for him to back up, shyly nudging him, but he’d just shush you and continue on…”shhh..Ikn it might not be the best route to take, but i trust that me and you can keep this a secret, hm?” He’d say, as he leaned down to your neck and inhaled your sent.

As time went on, he’d always have you around him. Taking you out to lunch, helping you with school work if needed, and even taking you shopping. It was always lavish and even when u denied, he’d take you along anyways. It got to the point were You’d always ask him how he had so much money, but realized quickly that it actually wasn’t his. It’s a “close friend” of his he would say patting your head. He also mentioned that one day you’ll meet and that he would make sure you’ll get along.

You nodded confused and slightly caught on off guard , but whatever. He’s someone you can trust and take comfort in, Even when he would tell (forced) you to sit on his lap and grope along your chest…your hesitant because of your weight? Ha, No matter your “soft and light” to him, is what he’d tell you. Slowly kissing along your slightly exposed shoulder. Though, as much as you two were living it up in lovers paradise, another was slowly coming into the picture.

Xiao, his son also liked you. he’d alway look from his room, Cracking open his room door to hear your anxious cries and moans when his dad would touch and kiss you. Your such a slut he thought// first, You complained you didn’t find this okay and wasn’t comfortable, trying to push past his advances But alas your still here letting that old man molest you little by little.

So it’s no surprise that when you two actually meet, it’s his father introducing you to him as his girlfriend over a cup of tea.

Your so out of it and he could tell from the way you’d try and shush zhongli, just for him to slide his long slender hands up your fluffy sides. “W-we…aren’t uhh..” you say eyeing the ground, but you hesitated to finish the sentence when you felt zhongli hands stiffen up on your side. “Aren’t what, hm?” He does a closed eye smile down to you. You just shake your head and finish your cup of tea.

It was almost hilarious-no ridiculously laughable to watch you cowering like that under him. He’d always see you around school as a expressive person, talking with your friends and chatting loud. It’s a pale comparison to that now, Because you’ve became the teachers pet quite literally and physically. Quite and numb, is what he’s summed you up to be now and he isn’t completely wrong.

Sometimes he’d see you try and use him as a scapegoat, and it always works, “zhongli…we can’t do that here..so please w-wait..”, you say pushing at his strong chest. But that probably only because he’s gonna get what he wants sooner or later, so there no need to rush. Especially for him, you’re sitting in his room now because his father isn’t back from shopping. You try making subtle conversation, hoping to find a way out, but that quickly came to a stop when xiao practicality jumps on you. Smothering your chubby body with the smell of must and axe body spray. You call out to him, saying stop-please, but he didn’t care.

He finally gets to score after so long and it’s exactly what he dreamed it’ll be..albeit kinda hard, because your moving a lot more fluid than you did in his dream, but nonetheless is it amazing.

So now that they have their fill, are they done? No. Of course not, they take turns using you now.. it’s sad really, but they still keep up an act around others. Can’t let them see how tired, batten and bruised up you are-nope can’t have that. And those times you do stay out late, or a spend a night at a “friends” house, Your mom just think it’s because you’re a growing girl. so it’s okay But if only they knew the tournament and hell you went thru on a daily basis.

Why is Diluc so attractive? A list of headcanons...

Since my friend is writing fics about Genshin men and is working on knowing them better + looking for more ideas, I came up a list of headcanons of Diluc and hopefully it will be an inspiration.

However, I suddenly found it’s surprisingly enjoyable to read them and it might be an good idea for me to post them here. Just to share my random thoughts/fantasies about Diluc as a faithful simp and hopefully to give people ideas for writing :)

Please note:

Most of them are implied🔞 so minors who are under 18 please respect yourselves and stop reading under the cut.

The only pronoun I used is "you" without specifying the gender. However, I wrote them in a fem! reader's POV (aka my POV). So basically it was me who are talking about Diluc to myself.

These headcanons are 100% based on my own fantasies and interpretations about Diluc. All of them are extremely PERSONAL. If you don't like them, it's fine and I respect whatever opinions you have. Just simply exit the post, but please don't be rude.

Maid kink: He is so damn calm with all his maids in the winery but somehow gets aroused when seeing you in the maid outfit. Hmmm is that the reason why he has so many spare maid outfits in the storage...?

He’s busy but still a MAN so sometimes he fantasize about you and does SOME STUFF on his own to de-stress. He thinks you don't know about it but what if you actually do?

He likes to tie (and to be tied up by a certain someone maybe?) so he has a whole collection of belts, thigh straps, chains and other straps maybe idk (for himself or who knows…)

He takes care of his hair very well so they are fluffy all the time but does he know that his ponytail is so grabbable…? Imagine how his face will look like when you grab his fluffy red hair during your intimacies...

He likes to kiss you and to be kissed by you, very much. But when you kiss him with a whole bunch of people that both of you know he gets so shy. Try to tease and kiss the bartender and then do the same when only you two are in the tavern…You better be prepared.

This is very personal but Diluc exploring and fighting in Dragonspine just gets you all the time without any reasons. He creates flame and heat that will melt every inch of snow and ice. He usually wears black + along with his red hair flying in the snow and wind just makes the most beautiful scenery in all over teyvat… He’s gonna be so warm and bright and sure he wouldn’t mind making you warm OR you making him warmER in the way you both like.

Being born and raised in one of the prestigious aristocratic clans in Mondstadt, Diluc is very good at dancing and knows very well of those manners. But do you know he can sing as well? He would sing for you and dance with you, making you falling into his arms with his comforting voice. Someone said the song Sway is sang by Diluc and now you cannot unhear it…

Sometimes you think Diluc is wearing too many layers especially in the summer. Isn’t he hot??? But you also know that he would only wear a shirt with the buttons half done when not being in public or meeting guests and that’s so sexy of him??

He also wouldn’t mind you take his formal clothes off, destroy the rest of the buttons of his shirt (he has tons of them anyway), splash wine on his clothes or on him….and he would do the same to you afterwards.

Another one for the outfits he wears: The bartender attire! The gloves are not covering his wrists like what they are in his usual outfits and that’s so attractive to you. In addition the suits and the vest fit him so well and you can see the shape of his body. Just try to grab his uncovered wrist and pull off his glove when he handles the drinks to you…Will he be mad at you?

Okay you need to STOP fantasizing over his outfits and accessories but one last thing: His thigh straps. Diluc wears that in literally ANY of his outfit. You can’t help but wonder how he puts on and takes off that thing everyday…Hmmm how about sliding your hand into it and give it a try?

Diluc can swing his claymore (which is even bigger than himself) using only one hand. You are always amazing by how strong he is despite he never looks like he is strong. I mean just look at how slim and pretty he is. You wonder what it feels like to be pinned down by those slim-look yet secretly muscular arms.

Despite not being fond of alcohol, Diluc still enjoys making different drinks. He created a special drink just for you and told you if you forget the taste of it, he’d love to make it for you over and over again, anywhere and anytime. But guess what, this man loves teasing you and he will just drink it in front of you so there will be only one way for you to taste it.

I’ve seen a bit of mixed opinions about how exactly Rafe would be in a relationship, some write him as just plain abusive and cruel while others characterize him as a alpha male hellbent on being the provider and very dominant instead of (mentally, emotionally) abusive. And because I love your characterization of Rafe and how you write him in relationships, I’m so curious to see what’s your take on him with a gf, canon and/or headcanon.

I also know that things like this are often up for interpretation when it comes to the writer and whatever their choice is for the creative direction they want to go in but still 😭. Like I’ve fell in love with Rafe being soft to and for his significant other and not downright abusing her.

aw thank you so so much 💘 i may have accidentally written another very long-winded character analysis…

so 100% like you said, every writer has the control to interpret him differently and they’re all valid - that’s part of the reason there are so many rafe fics that i adore. there are so so so many good approaches to his character

i can definitely see rafe being abusive and controlling. he carries the trauma and self-loathing that would make him behave like that. i mean lbr babygirl is a murderer and has physically harmed people 👀 so i can imagine him treating someone he’s supposed to love very poorly. i understand the angle that fic writers take that he doesn’t know how to show love or take love or even feel love because of who he is, so it makes him cruel and domineering - BUT i think he can be crass and violent and deranged due to nurture and not nature, which is why i think he has a side to him we don’t often see

he carries a tragic amount of trauma. he struggles with addiction. he feels remorse for his actions. he cries for help from his dad and gets told to toughen up. he fears losing control of his intrusive thoughts and that they’ll lead him to do things he shouldn’t do. he has terrible mental health. and it’s all from his upbringing and the way his father dismisses him and punishes him for having feelings. he wants to get better and he just needs someone to believe in him (see this edit that owns me) idk i like to think when rafe is given the opportunity to love, he can and he does :( that’s why i rly enjoy writing him as being a bit more tender

ngl i hate ward but he ATE when he said “the devil’s got you” lol because it’s rafe through and through. he’s not evil itself; evil finds him and he’s crap at fighting it

OK SORRY to actually answer your question about how i think rafe is as a boyfriend - it would feel like i’m diverting from canon too much if i wrote him as a total sweetheart. imo he’d have toxic traits like jealousy and possessiveness in a relationship. i can see him being controlling and overbearing and bossy and short-tempered, too. but i think in the snippets we’ve seen with him and sofia, he also can be playful and flirty and sweet and actually calm

i see him with an anxious attachment style - clingy, hypervigilant, jealous and deep down, always expecting for his fear that he’s not truly loved for who he is to come true. he is insecure as hell

i also think his love language is physical touch. i’m biased bc i write so much smut lmao but i think his favorite (and maybe at times, only) way to give and show love is through intimacy. and lowkey i think he would have a praise kink because he wants to be reminded of how much his girl loves him hehe

imo rafe is the type of character that can be soft - he just needs to feel safe to do so. he requires extra care and unconditional love. he needs to feel like no matter what he does, he’s special to his girl. i think there’s an inner child in him that needs to feel like he’s valued just the way he is and doesn’t have to prove anything to be loved

rafe does not like himself, let alone love himself. he literally tells himself, sobbing, in a quiet and vulnerable and solitary moment, that he sucks. his self-loathing makes him treat others very badly, but i think in the right setting with the right person, he wants to give and receive love. he just doesn’t always know how to do it

Okay so, re: my tags about it being different than everyone else's that you eyeballed like. Maybe I'm just too aromantic for All This, but the biggest reason I usually don't love the season 1 royjamies that are already out there is because I feel like they warm up to each other emotionally and catch feelings and all that way too fast and imho without much actual romancing? Like, they have sex a few times and then they're like okay I was totally wrong you've never done anything wrong in your life. Which like honestly....... boring.

And my second biggest issue is usually more with Jamie's characterization than Roy's! (I mean I do always wish people wouldn't slough off a lot of Roy's anger and other various Problems and all, but that's consistent lmao). But like season 1 fics make Jamie such a woob and a sadsack and take away his agency quite a bit, like all his bad behavior is someone else's fault - and like, okay, to a degree, I GUESS, but like...... idk man him having a reason to act that way doesn't make it less of a choice that he made.

I also think there's way too much emphasis on him being protected and rescued, which like, listen. I love a good romantic rescue as much as the next guy, but it was also something I really loved in the show that Jamie got to defend himself. He got to decide to be fed up, he got to fight back. And!! He always had a belligerent do-your-worst attitude, which he maintained all the way up through season 3 to the end!! I love that about him and I find it lacking in general, but especially in season 1 fics when it should be most present, when Jamie has the most people and reason to be defensive.

Anyway, back to the first thing. I do think that having sex with each other would change their perspectives of each other significantly, but not necessarily toward romance or even friendship. Like, their Feelings develop totally independently of their physical relationship! Besides which, I feel like there's this really interesting stage in any enemies-to-whatever type of relationship, especially when it starts with a (literal) Bang, where they stop seeing each other as The Enemy and start seeing each other as a living, breathing, vulnerable human being who they happen to be enemies with. And I feel like in a lot of enemies-to-whatever things that stage is sorely neglected, and I think it would be an ESPECIALLY interesting - and vital - stage for royjamie.

So if (IF) I ever wrote one myself, it would still start with a literal Bang. They'd impulsively have sex. Not exactly hate sex, because neither of them can really hate someone they're having sex with - but that's the perspective shift isn't it. They can't hate each other anymore, but that doesn't mean they start to like each other or even really care that much about each other.

So anyway, they would sleep together, and they'd both be way different in bed than they thought the other would be. And they're a little bit mean, not quite in a fun sexy way, but not quite enough to be hurtful either. And then they'd do it again a few times, and they'd be vastly humanized to each other. But they'd still be just coworkers with workplace tension who are fucking and also sometimes Jamie stays for dinner just because they both get lonely and it's only polite for whoever lives in the place they're at to offer. They're slightly more than tolerating each other. They're empathizing with each other and being incredibly intimate - off the clock - and it's a bit weird but a bit not weird and they're just going with it because. well. what else are you gonna do.

And then I'd have them stop sleeping together when Jamie gets transferred, without ever moving into that What Are We stage nevermind any further along than that. And then they become friends, semi-long distance. Texting and stuff. Kind of like the fic Waterfalls, which idr but might be gen. But also I'd probably have it even more of a slow burn than that, at least wrt Roy learning about James. Just because like... another thing I feel like happens a lot is that people have Character A find out about James and then suddenly they like Jamie after that and all. And I don't really like that either, I liked that they had all bonded at least a little before That Whole Thing in canon as well, and I'd want to keep that. OR maybe even bump it up a bit, but have them not suddenly be buddies after it. It would be interesting to explore mixed feelings on that front, where maybe Roy feels protective of Jamie and angry on his behalf, but without having a fully formed (if reluctant, at that point in canon) personal relationship with him.

But anyway so. It wouldn't really be enemies-to-lovers. It would be enemies-to-not-quite-strangers-who-fuck-and-are-intimate (I know allos cannot handle this concept, at least when I bring it up as something I want irl lmfao, they just don't get it! but listen. it happens, it can happen, and it can be pretty good too!), then half-hearted-enemies-again-to-friends, and then friends-to-lovers.

And WHO can say what I'd do or not do with Keeley. But I also hate when she gets just completely written out of the dynamic because I feel like that doesn't make a whole lot of sense and also is a bit boring. Even if it's not an OT3 endgame, I still feel like she should be all kinds of up in their business.

augh sorry in advance for this ask, i’m just Capital F Frustrated and idk where else to say this that won’t get me crucified

recently ran across a post that mentioned people who think it’s fine to read “dark” content as long as you don’t enjoy it sexually, and it made me want to throw things at the wall, because what do you fucking care!!! how is it your business!!

here’s the thing. i’m asexual. like profoundly asexual- not sex-repulsed, but i’ve never experienced sexual attraction or desire and i never will. for anyone or anything. i’m literally not capable to being attracted to anything. i’m also autistic, but that’s relevant only in that i struggle to empathize with emotions i haven’t personally experienced before. not in that i can’t express compassion for people feeling those emotions, just that i can’t really imagine what it would feel like to be in their place.

since sexual desire is one of those emotions i can’t empathize with, reading porn doesn’t really…do much, for me. largely because there’s a certain assumption on the part of most authors that the reader understands what attraction feels like, so they can jump straight to the “good stuff.” which is a bummer for someone who, like me, enjoys orgasms but isn’t really capable of imagining my own fantasies, so i need someone to come up with them for me.

you know who does a great job describing in detail what attraction and desire and arousal feel like? darkfic writers! because there’s no assumption that the reader will be able to empathize with wanting to fuck a dog, or a kid, or their dad, or whatever fucked up thing the (fictional!!!!!!!!) story is about, so they have to spell it out in explicit terms why the character feels that way and what it’s like and how they struggle with it.

now obviously i have no desire to fuck anyone or anything, much less things or people who can’t consent. irl that’s a deeply fucked up thing to do! but when literally no one else is writing porn that describes the emotional experience of arousal with enough detail to get me off, i’m gonna read that dogfucker fic and i’m gonna leave kudos and i’m gonna be grateful that writer is out there risking their online hide for my sake.

my irl behavior and desires are completely irrelevant to the porn i read, and getting off to shit that would be fucked up if it happened to real actual alive people has no bearing at all on my moral character, because it’s not happening to real actual alive people. and sometimes people just want to fucking jerk off in peace.

Just Another Friday Night (Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin x f!Reader)

Alright folks, I keep experimenting with writing for different fandoms because why not shitty writing is not a crime after all xD

On a Friday night The Hard Deck is always pretty crowded, but the atmosphere is lovely. All the steady customers and pilots are here, chatting, laughing, drinking and enjoying the evening. Rooster took a place at the old piano and is playing some vaguely familiar tunes - sometimes you joke that Penny should probably pay him a salary for live music. At times like this you actually feel lucky to work at such a nice and friendly place.

There’s only one thing that’s making your mood a bit darker tonight. Jake Seresin, callsign Hangman is here too. Well, of course he is, as well as the other pilots. Where else would they go on a Friday night? He seems relaxed and unbothered, as always, and you hate the way his presence makes you feel. It’s over. O V E R. Period. You’re hundred percent sure it was the right decision, the best one for probably the both of you. So why the hell it’s so hard to just… feel normal about it? Damn, you really miss the good old days… Well, not that old, actually. It’s crazy how only like… a month ago everything was so simple. Why does sex make everything so goddamn complicated? Or is it just you…

“You really think it’s gonna work?..” Bob asked quietly, looking at you with those enormous puppy eyes of his. “I mean… What if she… uh…”

“Are you kidding me? Of course it’s gonna work! She literally talks about you all the time, Bob!” you assured.

“Really?..” he looked genuinely surprised, “Sh-she talks about me?..”

“Well, not with everyone, but I’m her friend, so yeah… We discuss you boys from time to time,” you giggle softly. “Trust me, you have nothing to worry about.”

“I know…” he sighs deeply, blush creeping over his cheeks. “But she’s just so beautiful, I-”

“That’s true, she’s pretty. But she’s humble too. And Bob… Lily really really likes you, a lot. So just go for it!” you winked at him, and Bob smiled back sheepishly. Then he turned to search your colleague with his eyes. Lily just finished wiping one of the tables in the corner and was about to return to the counter.

“It’s your chance, c’mon!” you whispered, gently pushing him on the shoulder.

“Okay… Okay, I'm going.”

You couldn’t help grinning as you watched Bob approaching Lily. He looked so cute and bashful, and she smiled at him so brightly and happily. For sure they would make an adorable couple. You were even a tiny bit jealous. Not because you liked Bob or something - your feelings for him were purely platonic. It’s just the way he looked at her… To be fair, you could hardly imagine someone looking at you like that. You could keep scrunching your nose and saying the romance was overrated, but you had to admit it at least to yourself - a part of you was curious to know what it feels like. Nevertheless, you sincerely felt happy for your friend. You loved Lily a lot, and thought she absolutely deserved all the happiness in the world.

“‘Scuse me…”

Damn, with all this romantic novel worthy stuff you almost forgot you were actually at work.

“Yeah?” you turned to see Coyote at the counter.

“One beer for this asshole, please,” he muttered, pointing at Hangman who stood next to him, a smug grin on his handsome face.

“Ah, shit… Not again!..” You sighed, giving him a compassionate look. “I’m sorry, Javy.”

Hangman plays darts very well, and everybody knows it. But still from time to time his fellow pilots make desperate attempts to beat him. So far, none of them was successful.

“What can I say, sunshine? I always win,” he shrugged with a content smile.

“Oh, is that you, Hangman? Sorry, your ego is so huge I barely noticed you behind it,” you said sarcastically as you handed him the beer.

“Sassy as always,” he chuckled.

“Hey, what’s Bob doing?” Coyote suddenly asked, nodding in the direction of Bob and Lily. They were talking about something quietly, you could see Lily smiling at him as he gently touched her hand. Both looked a bit shy and completely smitten with each other. “Did he finally ask her out?”

“Yes! Well, um… I hope so. He was about to do it. I encouraged him.”

“As you should!” Coyote nodded in agreement. “I mean… Look at them! Literally a couple of lovebirds!”

“Right?? So glad Bob finally dared to approach her…”

“You know what, I don’t get what’s all the fuss about,” Hangman said lazily, sipping on his drink. “I mean… He really didn’t have to be that antsy - all the girls love pilots after all.”

“Sorry to disappoint you, darling, but I’m afraid that’s not entirely true,” you retorted.

“Really? Okay. Name one girl you know who wouldn’t date a pilot then.” Hangman wiggled his eyebrows.

“How about me?”

“You?” He looked surprised, and so did Coyote. “Mind telling me why’s that?” He leaned against the counter so that his face was inches from yours. You could even smell his cologne like this. God, this man’s so full of himself it makes you sick sometimes… And yet, there’s something dangerously attractive about him.

“Alright, I’ll tell you,” you lowered your voice as if you were revealing a big secret. “Most of you guys are way too cocky for my taste. And way, way too full of yourselves. And, you know... guys like that... In reality they’re not nearly as good as they think of themselves,” you winced. “All they can do is showing off.”

“Ouch! Girl!” Coyote laughed as Hangman’s grin faded. “What’s that I just heard? Is it someone’s ego crackin’?”

“Shut up, man,” Jake grumbled, but it took him seconds to get back to his usual attitude. “It’s not cocky, it’s called charisma, baby.”

“Oh, okay… You can think so if it makes you feel better,” you shrugged, giving him an innocent smile as Coyote snorted another laugh.

That’s how it used to be. You and Hangman kept poking each other like this all the time, sometimes rather flirty, but nothing more than this. It was fun, and everything was great until that Friday night.

That night, for once you weren’t in the bar for work. It was Penny’s birthday, and everyone was invited, including you. And yes, Hangman was there too, along with the other pilots.

You were having a great time. It’s been a while since you felt so relaxed, so happy and careless - just drinking, laughing and dancing. Even Jake Seresin didn’t seem all that annoying that night…

You vaguely remember walking out of the bar to get some air, and him holding you probably a little too close than you would normally allow. And you can’t tell who made the first move for a kiss, but what happened happened - in the end of the night you found yourselves in bed together.

It was a bit weird and clumsy, but still, as ridiculous as it sounds, probably the best sex you’ve ever had. The cocky bastard made you come twice, left a couple of hickies on your neck, and you could swear he also got a few marks from your nails digging into his broad shoulders and back.

The morning after was awkward as hell, but your head was aching so bad you simply weren't able to think much about what happened between the two of you. Thankfully the next day in the bar Jake acted as if nothing happened, and you breathed out a sigh of relief. Just a drunken one night stand which was most certainly not gonna happen again. And honestly you thought it’s for the best.

It happened again a couple of weeks later. That time you had a really bad day. To your surprise, Hangman noticed that something was off and suggested to drive you home after work. You couldn’t really explain why you said yes. Probably because you felt really shitty and it was just good to have someone around, it gave you some sort of comfort. You were also not in the mood to talk much about your problems, but thankfully he seemed to be satisfied with your vague answers and didn’t insist on you getting into details. It was also nice, and you were thankful, so you leaned in to kiss him on the cheek. He kissed you on the lips in return.

That night wasn’t as messy as the first one. In fact, he was pretty gentle, as if he really felt something for you. You didn’t allow yourself to fall into this trap though. Clearly you’re not the kind of a girl golden boy Jake Seresin would seriously be into. But at least it was a good distraction - in his arms you simply lost your ability to think for a while.

He left early, while you were still asleep, saving the both of you from another embarrassment.

And then there was that time when not you, but he had a bad day. You still don’t know what exactly happened. It was late, and you almost fell asleep in front of the TV when he knocked on your door.

“Hey, what’s wrong with you?” you frowned as you tried to read his expression - he was frustrated for sure, and angry too. “Someone beat your ass in darts?..”

He didn’t answer your sassy remark. Instead, he stepped in and you instantly found yourself pinned against the wall, his lips kissing you furiously, hands almost ripping down your sweatpants. His hot breath against your skin, and he smelled like alcohol and sweat mixed with some expensive cologne; that musky scent somehow made your head spin as if you were drunk as well. Soon, you got the opportunity to explain yourself though.

Just another Friday, just another crowded night. You walked between the tables after bringing an order, when someone grabbed you by the wrist.

“Hey there, sweetheart,” the man at the table looked at with drunk eyes, predatory grin on his face. Right, of course. This asshole had been eyeing both you and Lily the entire night - something simply had to happen.

“How ‘bout giving me your number? We could… ya know… have fun together,” he continued, licking his lips.

“I doubt that,” you winced, trying to pull away from his grip, surprisingly tight for someone that drunk. “Let go.”

“That’s pretty fucking rude to talk to customers like that,” the man’s voice started to sound threatening, although you weren’t scared.

“I said, let go of me right now,” you hissed. “Let me work.”

“Hey bud. Haven’t you heard what the lady just said?”

You didn’t even need to turn your head to recognize Hangman’s voice.

“You got problems here, flyboy?” the drunkard asked boldly, finally letting go of your wrist and standing up to look Jake in the eye.

“I don’t,” Hangman shrugged with his signature smirk. “You do.”

“Oh, really?”

The next moment the drunk man tried to make a strike at Hangman, but his condition betrayed him, and Jake easily caught his arm and twisted it behind his back.

“Guess you have to leave, buddy. We respect the girls here,” he said, pushing the man towards the exit to throw him out of the bar. The crowd cheered, and Jake smiled triumphantly.

“So… Hangman saved the day again, huh?” he winked, coming closer to you.

“Oh fuck off,” you rolled your eyes as you turned away from him and headed back to the counter.

“You could at least say thank you, you know.”

Apparently he expected you to be grateful, but all you felt was annoyance.

“I didn’t ask you for help. I’m pretty much able to stand up for myself,” you snapped.

“Whoa,” Jake frowned in confusion. “What's got into you, sunshine? Can’t let someone care for you?”

“Oh please,” you snorted. “You care for me? We both know it’s not about me. It’s about you - you just always have to be a fucking hero of the day and a center of attention, isn’t that right?”

For once Hangman seemed to be lost for words and it felt strangely satisfying.

Hours later, when you got home from your shift, he knocked on your door.

“Wanna talk about what the hell’s happening?” he asked, hazel eyes scanning your expression.

“Thought I already told you everything tonight,” you muttered.

“Yeah, well… It’s not just about tonight, it’s been a few days already.”

“Oh wow. You actually noticed.”

“Hey, would you stop that with your sarcasm for once? What did I do?”

“Nothing,” you sighed deeply. “You were just being you, that’s all. And I… I’m just tired.”

“Tired?..” he blinked in slight confusion.

“Yeah, uh… You know, casual sex was fun and all, but I can’t do that any more, okay? It’s over. So why don’t you go hang out with that new girl of yours and leave me alone?”

“Wait, I don’t… Oh, I get it! You’re just jealous, aren’t you?” he cocked his eyebrow. Damn, this man was absolutely insufferable. The smug look on his face made you want to punch him.

“No, Jake, I’m not jealous. I just feel like I’m kinda… being used. You know, when you sleep with me, and then flirt with someone else like it’s nothing… I guess this kind of a relationship - just sex and nothing else - is not for me after all.”

“Didn’t you say I’m not the kind of a guy you’d date?”

“Yes, I did,” you admitted. “But that’s how I feel. I wish I didn’t, but I can’t help it. I shouldn’t have let this happen, but now that it happened… All I can do is just finish it, before I fall for you more than I already did and get hurt even more.”

There, you said it. You didn’t plan to admit having feelings for him out loud, but it just just tumbled from your mouth like that. Jake's smile faded at your words, and you gulped nervously, cheeks burning.

“Anyway, let’s just… You do what’s better for you, and I’ll do what’s better for me, okay?” you mumbled.

“Okay…” he nodded, and for the second time today you had a feeling he didn’t know what to say, all his cockiness suddenly disappearing. You knew it’s not for long though, so you forced yourself not to let this new, oddly vulnerable expression of his melt your heart.

“Bye, Hangman,” you said simply, closing the door.

“Hey there.”

There he is. As if he sensed you thinking of him, Hangman makes his way to the counter.

“Hey,” you reply, as dryly as you possibly can. “Another beer?”

“Yes please.”

There’s something unusual in the way he sounds today, but you can’t quite catch what exactly.

“Here you are,” you say, as you place a glass in front of him. “Anything else,” you add, as he seems somewhat hesitant, still standing there leaning against the counter instead of grabbing the beer and returning to his pals.

“Yeah, uh… there is something else, actually,” he says, clearing his throat and slamming his hand against the counter loudly enough to make the people around turn their glances at you. “Lily told me you’ve got a day-off tomorrow, is that right?”

Wait, what? He talked to Lily?

“Jake…” you let out a deep frustrated sigh. “What the hell are you doing?”

“Trying to ask you out. Kinda seems pretty obvious, no?” there's a soft mischievous chuckle on his lips - you hate how charming it looks.

What the fuck.

“I told you, it’s over,” you lower your voice to almost a whisper, but you still sound so incredibly loud, because goddamn Rooster stopped playing, and is watching the “show” with the rest of the bar. You have to fight the urge to throw something at him. “Whatever it was between us, it's-”

“Exactly,” Jake cuts you off, “Whatever it was between us is over, and now I’m asking you out on a date. Officially. That’s it, I mean it,” his face suddenly turns serious. “No more hiding or shit like that. How ‘bout that?”

“I…but…” you blink, lost for words. He surely can’t be serious about this… Or can he?.. You’re still from different leagues, guys like him don’t date girls like you. Impossible. And yet, these hazel eyes tell you a different story.

You can still feel all the eyes on you, the “audience” nearly holding a breath as if he’s proposing to you, and they’re waiting for your decision.

“What about the new girl?” you blurt.

“Well… Had to tell her it’s not gonna work,” Hangman shrugs, “Sadly, she’s just not sassy enough for my taste.”

He grins at you widely, the same signature Hangman’s grin, and yet… There's something different in the way he looks at you, his eyes so warm and filled with sudden tenderness you could never expect from him. And you simply can’t help it - you smile back.

“So… Is that a yes?” he asks. “C’mon, sunshine… I know you think I’m a cocky ass, but ain’t I worth a chance?”

You know he already knows the answer, but well… People are waiting.

“Okay… Yes, I’m officially going out with you,” you declare, and his smile gets even bigger.

“Yeah, man!” someone cheers in the back, probably Coyote, “You go, Hangman!”

Ugh. This bastard always manages to be a hero, doesn’t he?

“Please don’t make me regret it, Seresin,” you whisper, leaning closer to him.

“Will do my best,” he smirks, and before you know it, he closes the distance between the two of you, his lips catching yours in a kiss, that’s somehow so much sweeter than usual. You giggle against his mouth as you hear a round of applause.

“And now, ladies and gents,” you say loudly as you pull back and reach for the bell above the counter, “Mr. Hangman’s buying a round for everyone! Yay!”

“Hey, what was that for??” Hangman clamors dramatically.

“For being the biggest fucking show-off around here,” you grin. He laughs and shakes his head.

“Rude. But fine, I take it. Get over here.”

He cups your face and kisses you again, the crowd cheers and applause even louder. The room instantly fills with laughter, clinking of glasses, and Rooster finally gets back to playing - another Friday night goes on, as it should.

i've been sitting on this post for a few days now and it's literally just, me making assumptions about kudos i've noticed on fics lately (particularly aci since i've been checking that fic every week for book club these past few months) and this'll make me seem more insane than i already come off but by this point. how much lower can i go?

[mochi010] there's a user named mochi that has shown up in my twitter notifs somewhat regularly and they have nothing on their account so i have zero clue what they might be like outside from that they've been liking my shizuo and izaya retweets. their handle isn't even mochi so i have very little reason to believe this could be them but idk, maybe? no conclusion has been made here. well i already spent time writing and cleaning up the paragraph, guess i'm leaving it in.

shout-out to [ouiouipussay] and [ramenflavorpacketsnorter420] just for having some names that stand out lol. i don't recognise you from anywhere but, i guess now i will if i ever come across those names again.

[NotElectricT] this took me a second to dig up again since it's quite buried down that list at this point but the plan i'd had in mind for this post was to end on this one since i saw them kudo it right in front of me (through the vc stream) and i didn't think this post would get as long as it did but... well i already wrote it 😬 but yeah, this is my good friend note! check out this art they made for, still one of their favourite chapters, sharks fly. it's sandwiched in between some squid game au they made for a gift exchange for me..... it's a long story i don't wanna talk about it (embarrassing......)

but what i do wanna talk about!! is how note (referred to as "patient zero" regarding aci book club by the only other patient lol) just decided to read this fic completely of their own volition?? i didn't tell them to do that and for sure didn't expect them of all people to try reading it, ever (they're not really a fic reader) but they just did that, two years ago. and that was like, insane to me at the time because it's seriously so out of their depth guys they don't do enemies to lovers.... they still don't lol. but i was insane about this fic back then with no one to really be insane about it to so i just yelled about it to these friends out of context and i guess???? that was convincing enough to get this one to start the longest fic they'd ever read 💀

i had much fun having someone experience the fic i'd been insane over..... like i'm smiling about it rn thinking about the time i did a live reading of the chainsaw man (as i like to call him) chapter which was so fun i kinda forgot i had a hamilton musical i was supposed to watch that evening... that was awkward. and other chats we exchanged regarding the fic (they were reading chapters whenever they felt like it which i enjoyed because i like pacing these things out) but for some reason (i think things just happened around the time that disrupted the momentum) they never made it past chapter 26 😔 which was tragic to me but oh well....

well i'm am even more insane about this fic now because of this convoluted chain of events that gradually built and cascaded me towards whatever the fuck i'm doing now!! god. i've never made so much, anything, like ever. until now. because both note and rosa (who has not kudo'd this fic as far as i'm aware lol) made the decision beyond my expectations to commit to, a book club. which i organised. and i've been having a lot of fun! so much fun, there's all this wild "marketing" stuff i've been churning out in record fucking time by my standards. i've never felt so creatively fulfilled dude, never finished a thing in my life until these past few months. so that's awesome, and it's in large part because of note having committed to this fic again. so that's some of the story behind that one kudo haha.

and now we're at chapter 49, we're supposed to be talking about it tomorrow, which is today by now since it's 1 am but uhhhhhhh writing is so hard. i was supposed to just be cleaning up this draft i'd written like 5 days ago? i am now very hungry. there's actually more i'd drafted up from here just from more names i recognised as i kept expanding the kudo list that day buuuut i'm fuckeeeen cutting this off right here. i need to stop. the end.

WHAT IF LIKE.. Well, probably like imagine too, WHAT IF S/O (the Farmer girl!), BUT S/O IS LIKE ROYALTY TOO (changing reputations here!), was actually and supposed to be betrothed to Helel when they were young/children. Like child marriage and all that.

I do think Helel would be surprised as child back then, but how children would react, he would be upset and confused. But he slowly accept it, thinking his fiance may as well be not so interested to him anyways. BUT THEN, when this motherfucker entered the room where he would meet his betrothed partner, and quickly fall in love at the sight of them.

His once act of bored and "man I don't want to be here, at all!" Turned into child-like and puppy crush on S/O, liking them already as he doesn't want to change at all. But, I think this is start of Helel obsession as well..

BUT ALSO TWIST HERE, Nathaniel (Or Nebu, I don't know which design suits him. But I like Ithawua Hunter! Nathaniel Nebuchadnezzar design more! I think it suits him!), Nebu actually likes S/O, but hearing them being betrothed to his own literal brother, Helel. He's upset and doesn't talk to Helel for awhile. MOSTLY YEARS AS THEY GROW UP

But during and after Helel exile, even though he's supposed to be the crowned king, with Nebu being now the Sun King. As he has the power with Helel gone as well (He coming back later), he makes S/O his own lover. Even though S/O promise themselve to only love Helel (it can be out of love or only doing it to satisfy the royals)

S/O situation will be like the farmer girl on the fic, locked up the cage and their body getting used, but with more punishment if S/O keeps mentioning Helel

But when Helel comes back (with trust issues), I think he will regeconize his own betrothed. Feeling happy and relief, just to see his own betrothed, but seeing what Nebu has done to them. You may hear some... Screams in the brother dungeon

But remember, Helel is very much fucked up after his years old exile. So, he's still the same but more overprotective and does keep his betrothed in the golden cage. Like trapped dove, with body of a delicate doll.

Kyra, I stayed up all night reading your new chapter, i am not even joking when i say that when i saw that it ended i LITERALLY GASPED OUT LOUD!!! The smut was TOP TIER! omg so hot! so many stuff happening!!! Edward smoking was so sexy! also him being like: “You were led astray, I see.” GOT ME BLUSHING FOR NO REASON????!!! Jonathan being a sneaky little bastard as always! it was so funny seeing him try to comfort the reader but also having no clue in what he was doing, like sir you are a psychiatrist! Edward smoking: yes. I particularly enjoyed writing the detail of him offering the reader a drag and being disappointed when she refused because he's definitely the type to romanticize his lips touching the same things hers do (little does he know at that moment that she was planning on Fucking Him in like fifteen minutes.) And with him saying "you were led astray", I love him idolizing her so much because he's gonna get so hurt when he finds out she is just a normal person (who is in way over her head)

Jonathan: I think he knows how to comfort someone, but he doesn't want to actually comfort the reader. Because, again, he's feeling neglected and he's trying ten thousand different methods of coping and none of them are working. But it will come to a head, and soon.

Since she confronted the Batman on the roof, Bruce has been aware that the reader isn't telling him everything. Like, she isn't good at lying. But the burner phone going off and her lying about it is definitely ringing more bells in his head and he is realizing he needs to keep a closer eye on her. Wonder how he's gonna do that. :)

I don't remember exactly what my inspiration for this fic was, although I remember bits and pieces. It was originally just going to be a Bruce Wayne fic and I started writing it after I saw the Batman in March 2022. The first scene in the fic is the only thing I salvaged from that first version of the fic.

And then, months later, I decided to write a fic with Jonathan as a love interest along with Bruce bc I really like love triangles in reader insert fics lol, especially between heroes and villains. It's about the DYNAMICS.

Normally when I come up with my longer fics, it's because I write the fic I want to read- I couldn't find many Jonathan Crane multi-chapter fics and I wanted to fix that.

Edward was always going to be in the fic, but he only became a love interest later when I decided that I can be as self-indulgent in my fic as I want to be lol. He was always gonna be interested in the reader tho, the reader just didn't always reciprocate.

And as a fun little fact: the title for the fic was originally going to be "Stay and Burn" which is taken from the song Deus in Absentia by Ghost (my love). Then I decided to expand on it and make it my own. I like the dichotomy between fire and water, the implication that you made one reckless decision only to be blindsided by a different danger... idk.

Finally, YES when I'm done with this I do want to make a sort of BTS video where I just ramble about writing it. I've been wanting to make videos anyway for my art/shop, so why not add my writing as a topic as well?

Sebs definitely sensitive to touches too mhmmm !! Sensitive and desperate to be touched at all time its embarassing because he cant live without receiving physical touches from his boyfriends.
