Lmao just know I'm brainrotted and am mentally making both my Xatts Anthros but more animal aligned than anthro Xatts cause Xep is based on a hare in my mind so I wanna turn her into a gangly limbed uncanny hare freak (lovingly) with stupid big ears who just generally has major something is very very wrong with her vibes and probably delights in torture and maiming like a little freak and would growl at Hayden ears pinned back in aggression showing, sharp back teeth that definitely probably shouldnt be there if he looked at the rabbit Xatt anthro too long.

Meanwhile sweet bun Xatt is stuck with this terrifying lanky maniac and is just shaped smaller squishy and ever so soft and fluffy with such delicate gentle paws and a light step. And Xep just wants to dress her up and admire her prize. But also probably has something a bit wrong with her as well. What exactly idk but probably don't get caught snooping somewhere you shouldn't by her. Cause I like the oh a cute lil lady <3 - oh there's something wrong with her actually. Maybe magic idk like I like the idea of powers especially darker magic making her perhaps just as deadly as the maniac hare.

Cause both being Xatts they're both dangerous just in slightly different ways bun is a cutesy lure with the unexpected jaw while Xep is cunning and moreso hunts and I think that'd translate over making them both deadly in different ways. They probably have some sort of work deal pact, not sure what or why I like them being in a fucked up partnership cause dynamic. Bound by blood. I'm just so brain rotted and so normal about this XD with so many mental images of art I'll never make but oof I wanna. I just thought you had a right to know your hayden world stuff urg it consumes me I love thinking about it its so fun.

Also I just like uncanny Valley hare lanky wrong and unnerving paired with a small fluffy and trustworthy bunny rabbit. Like the brain is vibrating at mental imagery of that the opposites the cute correct adored and the terrifying incorrect feared, always kind of bound to the other inseparable almost. Idk I can't fully explain it but thoughts go BRRR

In regards to the designs, any proportions you wanna draw them with are totally fine! You can draw 'em anthro with human proportions and clothing, you can draw them quad, you can draw 'em like Bugs Bunny and anything in between. Xatts can come in many shapes and sizes! A long gangly uncanny one sounds cool.

Also, having something "wrong" with 'em and a slightly ominous streak is very much in character for Xatts...they tend to be a little odd and feral at the best of times--it's mostly a matter of what their individual "bad" percentage is and how good they are at controlling it.

Also, your description of your two as a tag team sounds very endearing! I'll keep that in mind when I do your Xatt sketches… (still planning that, just catching up on stuff and in a bit of a digital art slump at the moment)

In regards to Hyden's reaction, I can certainly say he'd be rather creeped out by a Xatt. Once the surprise wore off, though, he'd be fascinated by this strange, new, potentially magical creature… careful, Xep, don't let him get you on the dissection table!

In the current version of the Amaranthine story, Xatts aren't canonically present--they're more of a free-floating monster idea that could be plugged into any setting--but they were originally part of Amaranthine back in 2009.

In the original 2009-era backstory for Xatts, they were born from the Shadow. Given that Hyden was the one who released the Shadow upon the world in the first place, that would have made him their accidental "father", in a way.

The connection between the two isn't canon anymore, but just a fun little bit of trivia. :)

short drabble about ceo levi with nicknames?? u always write sm for ur requests so please feel free to make it short i feel bad 😭!!

author note :: again i haven’t written much in ages so i’m a little rusty but i hope you like this anon !!! :-)

word count :: 1k ??? 900 words ??? idk i am estimating

okay, okay here me OUT!!!

despite popular belief i think levi wouldn’t be all that into nicknames at first.

he’s just never really seen the appeal to them? on top of that he’s always found that he internally cringes when he hears couples refer to each other with such overused terms of endearment

but god… you’re into nicknames, in fact you love them and can’t get enough of them. that’s where you and levi run into an issue. he’s never really been particularly vocal to begin with and the last thing he’d ever want to do is use a nickname when he can just say your name normally

“but other couples do it.” you mumble the complaint under your breath after seeing another couple at work bombard each other with cheesy names. only then does levi realise how upset his defiance makes you.

he probes you about it, questions what makes you happy, what exactly is attractive about it but you’ve never been the forceful type and you brush it all off telling him it’s no big deal and you’re being silly but no, levi most definitely thinks it’s a big deal especially if you’re hiding how you really feel from him

so he asks google what the big deal is about nicknames — it takes him a while to get it but eventually he comes to the conclusion that they’re used to show special connections that are different from others

so he begins to test the waters

“honey” almost sounds condescending and “brat” is what he calls little kids who annoy him, it doesn’t sound right when he tries to use it lovingly with you.

one day he ventures with the term “love” you’re both sat at a coffee shop when it slips out. when it happens you don’t really know how to react ??? it’s the first time he’s said something of that tone and you completely lose your focus accidentally sipping on the scalding hot liquid in your cup

when you nearly burn your tongue levi is visibly irked. he reaches out with a napkin to dab at the edges of your mouth — you managed to get coffee everywhere, small droplets even landed on your skirt

“be careful.” he murmurs before adding in - “maybe this whole pet name thing isn’t for us, your reaction says a lot.”

you practically jump out of your seat because NO!!!! you liked it you just weren’t expecting it so soon

“no, no, no i did like it i was just… shocked.” levi gives you a look analysing if you’re being truthful, he concludes that you are

when he returns home he thinks back on the incident. love, it’s probably his favourite, it’s still a little off putting to say because again he’s never been great at being vocally affectionate BUT levi’s always been literal with the way he thinks of you so he likes calling you it because at the end of the day you are and always will be his love. it’s fitting.

and so it sticks!!!

levi soon notices that you smile more when he uses nicknames and sure… “sweetheart” may be sappy and all but if it makes you smile he’ll do it. yes, even if it’s embarrassing

now, levi using nicknames in front of other people??

in public he’s more willing to try — i’m talking shopping centres or at the park, but at work he’s reluctant it’s difficult for him to not act professional at all times even when he’s in the privacy of his office

but he still makes the effort to use pet names often, he won’t try it if you’re stood in the staff room but if you’re in a secluded hallway he knows it won’t hurt to loosen up

fun fact but levi prefers personalised terms of endearment for himself — something that directly links to his name most probably. nobody before you referred to him as lev and he finds that he likes it so he keeps it around but if anyone other than you tries to use it they’re met with immediate annoyance

you remember the time eren tried to fling the nickname at him at an after hours work dinner and levi completely ignoring him until he used his full name

“how come i can’t say it?” eren asks him, levi fights the urge to roll his eyes before answering “because i only like it when one specific person uses it” eren doesn’t ask for any elaboration he understands what levi means instantly.

to be honest he finds it pretty endearing. the way you scold levi for being so uneasy about it is amusing because it’s clear levi refuses to budge, he hates others using the name with him because those other people aren’t you

usually levi’s worries focus on stocks and company shares so to see him so uptight and particular about a nickname really does make the other employees at ackerman & co see him as more human

levi doesn’t admit it but eventually he warms up to the whole nickname thing, he likes that the names you both use are strictly reserved for each other

it makes him feel oddly special, it’s as if he plays a significant enough role to be given the privilege of another name

levi guesses that google was right all along maybe nicknames aren’t that bad

but whatever happens levi will never ever call you sugar plum or honey bun, he thinks he’d probably throw up before he’d be able to

that’s okay though, you aren’t too fond of those two either. you think you can live perfectly fine without them !!!

for now levi is lev and you are his love :-)

HOW did vicious baby, (aka Meng Yao), and Tall Daddy, (aka Lan Xichen), actually meet??

Okay I’m really curious to hear everyone’s take on this because I just watched the donghua and listened to the audio drama and each way is a little different!

And BECAUSE each way is a little different each way could have many different interpretations and implications for the way I see Meng Yao and Xichen’s relationship.

Exhibit A: The Live Action Version aka Love at First Pinky Stroke OR Is it Actually Just More of Meng Yao’s Conniving Ways?

So in the live action Vicious Baby and Tall Daddy meet after Tall Daddy very ala Jane Austin rescues Meng Yao from the nasty social comments of some random hoes.

Meng Yao seems both genuinely grateful and genuinely smitten at Xichen’s chivalry...

Whereas soon as Xichen sees him smile he literally makes this face.

Poor Daddy Lan Legs is literally struck dumb by the sight of Meng Yao peering up at him all doe-eyed from beneath his dark lashes. But alas Meng Yao puts the kabash on any possible romantic entanglements much to the audience’s disappointment. Meng Yao is after all, at this point in the show, a taken bottom and his loyalty to Nie Mengjue seems sincere.

At the very least the face he makes when looking at him in this scene shows that he and Nie Boss Daddy are definitely fucking and Meng Yao is definitely into it.

Too bad for ol’ Xichen who immediately compensates by trying to vicariously live a romantic life by becoming way too invested in his younger brother’s.

Then Meng Yao fucks up in front of Mingjue, compensates by getting stabbed for him...

---- BUT knows he’s still on the hook when he hears this.

So here’s my thinking: if this is the real way they met it seems obvious there was some sort of attraction. Therefore, when Meng Yao hears about the burning of Cloud Recesses, he must be genuinely concerned and wanting to help Xichen.

That’s what I WANT to believe. OR is Meng Yao just already doing the math in his head and figures he might be banished and thinks that if he’s gonna have a rebound it might as well be a rich, powerful, hot and kind one. What is it they say about sociopaths again? How they’re always able to single out the kind people?

I don’t know. Thoughts anyone?

Exhibit B: The Audio Drama aka Xichen is Adorable Helpless Rich Boy and Meng Yao is the Girl Next Door

In a cute extra in the audio drama we see an overly eager Xichen trying hard to pull his weight at the (inn? whorehouse? Meng Yao’s house?) by doing a set of laundry which he proceeds to accidentally tear to shreds. Meng Yao shoes Xichen away from the clothes before Xichen can create more sewing work for him. Xichn laments being a helpless, rich boy who doesn’t know his own strength, expressing regret that now Meng Yao has twice the work on his hands having to care for the both of them.

Meng Yao however tuts this away, saying he’s used to doing chores. He finds Xichen’s fumbling endearing. However, as he leans over to scrub Xichen’s robes he notices the distinct pattern of the Gusu Lan clan.

First off, WHAT THE HELL XICHEN?? You’d think the leader of the Lan clan would be a little brighter than this and think to hide his clan robes when he’s on the FREAKING run from the Wen clan.

Meng Yao however, doesn’t call him out but does gently hints that he should keep the robes out of sight.

Meng Yao: These patterns...

Xichen: Hm?

Meng Yao: Nothing! I just think they’re pretty...um young master, these robes are important aren’t they?

Xichen: Yeah I suppose so! ^__^

Meng Yao: Then it would probably be a good idea to keep them stored safe somewhere right?

Xichen: ^___^

Meng Yao: Like out of sight....

Xichen: ^___^

Meng Yao: Away from prying eyes....?

Xichen: ^____^

Meng Yao: Hide your f**king robes you beautiful simple man!

The whole scene ends with an adorable exchange as Xichen stubbornly gives laundry one last try and fail and Meng Yao gently and playfully teases him for it.

Okay so if this is the true way they met then once more there is evidence that there was a genuine attraction between them at first and one without any of Meng Yao’s schemes! He truly hadn’t known who Xichen was before deciding to help him.

This is another version I want to believe.

Exhibit C: The Manghua Version aka Xichen: Meng Yao Would Take a Bullet For Me I Swea---no, no, stop shaking your head Wangji

So this version is the most questionable because its told from Xichen’s POV and he’s biased because he really BELIEVES in Meng Yao.

We know Meng Yao rescued Xichen, that much is true.

But Xichen claims Meng Yao rescued him only out of the goodness of his heart without knowing who he was. That he did it because he despised the tyranny of the Wen clan.

Okay so does that sound a little hollow to anyone else’s ears or is it just me? First off, when has Meng Yao ever just done something out of “the goodness of his heart?” That boy is a calculating bitch!

Second off, Meng Yao is clever enough to most likely at least know the way Gusu Lan cultivators dressed. Even if he didn’t recognize Xichen as the clan leader he’d still be smart enough to know that having a connection with any member of the Lan clan might benefit him in the future. Also when do we EVER hear Meng Yao criticize the Wens?? Not once!

I feel like this version makes Meng Yao out to be more sus especially since we see Xichen talking him up later on to Nie Mingjue. This makes Xichen and Meng Yao’s relationship out to be a lot faker than the others as its not a far leap to think that Meng Yao decides to rescue Xichen to gain his favor, only pretending to not know who he was.

It would fall in line with other bit of the show such as when Meng Yao COMPLETELY manipulates Xichen’s emotions by giving him back the Lan Jade talisman.

I actually don’t hate this because I think that the donghua is definitely making Meng Yao out to be a lot scarier and evil and I kind of still dig that.

Exhibit D: The Novel aka I actually don’t really remember this one...

I don’t remember this one guys. I don’t think we ever actually see it do we? Like don’t we just hear Xichen say that Meng Yao helped hide him when the Wen’s were after him? But we don’t know exactly how they ran into each other or wether they had known each other before or anything?

Again. IDK.

a/n: ahh i hope these aren’t too long haha, thank you so much for requesting!! :))

Akaashi Keiji:

F = Feelings (When did they realize their feelings? How did it change their behavior towards you?)

Akaashi quietly observes you for a while

Your little tics and reactive expressions ingrain themselves into his brain until he can close his eyes and picture your face almost perfectly

You’re studying together one day, and it starts off with the standard frequent side glances and an endearing awkwardness

But at some point, he feels himself leaning towards you subconsciously

Not in an obvious way, Akaashi just suddenly felt the urge to scootch closer to you or maybe to brush away that stray piece of your hair that had come undone

He immediately jerks himself back with a mildly troubled look on his face (on the inside this man is having a whole-ass existential crisis)

You tilt your head as you glance at him, and that’s when he knows

Akaashi’s already familiar with your different expressions of annoyance, sadness, happiness, etc., but your face right now was so innocent and clueless and cute and precious - he just felt an overwhelming urge to tell you about all the warm, helpless feelings you give him

He doesn’t, of course, because Akaashi at least tries to plan these things out

His realization doesn’t change his behavior a lot (he’s as sarcastic, chill, and straightfoward as always), but he does start doting on you more

He asks if you got enough sleep last night, sometimes offers to share his lunch with you, even gives you his jacket when you were shivering a little

Pure boi just wants to take care of you; it makes him feel more connected and might just be how he hints at his feelings to you

J = Jealousy (What makes them jealous? How do they deal with jealousy?)

Normally a pretty chill dude that you wouldn’t think ever gets jealous

It’s true that Akaashi definitely has complete faith in you and knows you can handle yourself

He also tends to internalize when it comes to feelings like jealousy because he knows they’re not rational

But that still doesn’t stop him from paying extra attention when you’re talking to other guys

Frowning, he monitors your situation from a distance. You might think he’s not paying attention, but the moment he sees signs that you’re uncomfortable or that the other person is getting too comfortable with touching you, he intervenes

Akaashi’s got skills galore at interjecting himself into conversations, and now he’s calling upon all of them plus his passive aggresive expertise

“(Name), please introduce me to this person. As your boyfriend, I’d really like to know who your acquaintances are.”

Narrows his eyes at the other person when he says “acquaintance”

Highkey throwing all the shade right then, but even after you introduce him, he subtly ends the conversation and pulls you away (after which he feels much more relaxed and comfortable)

Basically admits it if you tease him for being jealous

“Yeah, I was. Is there a problem with me feeling protective of you, love?”

O = Over (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

If Akaashi at any point liked you enough to be in a relationship with you, he will hold that respect for you forever

Even if you made a mistake, he’ll continue to believe that you deserve a least an in-person meeting before breaking up

He thinks it over a lot before making the decision to break it off

This isn’t something he’d ever take lightly, and he’d use at least a good week to process and think about any alternatives

If there’s truly no other way, he’ll text you to meet him somewhere private, like a small cafe or secluded park

Akaashi tells you his intentions as soon as you arrive; there’s no point in dragging this out and hurting the both of you further

He’s very solemn as he tries to explain, and he tries to state his reasons as clearly as possible, but his mind is a whirlwind at that moment

Respectfully leaves after a few minutes, but when he gets to the car he can feel his eyes watering and hands shaking

Bokuto helps him a lot by keeping him active and engaged with his surroundings, but Akaashi can’t help but lie awake at night thinking about you

It’ll take him at least two or three weeks to start moving on in life, but he’ll always look back on the good times you two shared fondly

Atsumu Miya:

F = Feelings (When did they realize their feelings? How did it change their behavior towards you?)

I think his feelings will hit him all of a sudden

He’ll catch himself at home wondering what you’re doing at that moment

And Atsumu starts realizing that he thinks about you more than himself

He’s not used to thinking about anyone that’s not himself, his spikers, or (occasionally) Osamu

So maybe he sees you struggling with something and, after teasing you a little, he helps you

And when you thank him with a sweet smile, he actually feels himself blush

All he can think is just “oh hell no i cannot be a simp right now”

After that incident, Atsumu might avoid you for a bit (he sees you in the hallway and literally spins on his heel, running into the nearest room to keep cool)

But his sets are noticeably less focused than normal, and Osamu forces Atsumu to man up and talk to you

He becomes a little more conscious of what he says to you. You notice that his mocking insults are almost fond sounding now and that he backs off a lot quicker if he sees he hit something sensitive

He tells himself that it’ll help you feel the same way

Because if being more sensitive to your feelings could make you fall as hard for him as he did for you, then that’s what he’ll do

J = Jealousy (What makes them jealous? How do they deal with jealousy?)

He’s used to getting what he wants, and when you’re not paying attention to him, he’s not

Cue pouty Atsumu

It’s not that he doesn’t trust you, he just doesn’t like anyone other than him looking at you like that

Feels protective because he knows how amazing you are and how much you tempt him (and if he’s that affected by you, who knows what other people could be thinking about you?)

Like one time, he sees you talking with Osamu, and you have the brightest smile on your face that he absolutely adores... but it’s not directed at him

Clenching his jaw, he immediately storms up to you both and snakes his arms tightly around your body from behind

“Babee, pay attention to me...” Atsumu directs a withering glare at his twin, “‘Samu, get outta here!”

If he feels threatened because a stranger is talking to you, he’ll be less kind (he might get triggered because you started blushing or maybe there was some kind of physical touch involved, which can be as minor as a touch to the shoulder, but Atsumu is not about it)

Straight up stalks over to you both, placing an arm aggresively over your shoulder

“Hey, who’s this?? Actually nahh, it doesn’t matter because he’s insignificant~ C’mere babe, let’s go. Bye now, stranger!”

O = Over (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

Hm... Atsumu might send a break-up text idk :p

But more likely he’ll give you a call

I just feel like he might be too emotional to do it in person

Depending on his reasons, maybe he’s scared that he might snap at you and leave you feeling like trash (because no matter what the reasons are, he never wants to lash out at you like that)

So he sends a warning text like “we have to talk about something serious” and then call so he can at least break the news with his own voice

Atsumu’s words might come off nonchalant and almost harsh, but it’s accidental; it’s kind of a defense mechanism

He doesn’t want to hurt you, but he’s also so close to a mental breakdown that he can’t figure out how to break things off earnestly without becoming a crying, blubbering mess

So his words can seem cold, especially when you’re in such a fragile emotional state

But he stays on the line with you for as long as you need, silent as you express your emotions as freely as you want

But if you cry a lot, or your voice is really shaky, this man probably starts tearing up along with you

Just a mutual crying fest by the end, but Atsumu’s still not the type to change his mind unfortunately

He would’ve had to believe his reasons 100% to think about breaking things off with you

Still, he’s depressed and grumpy for the couple weeks after

Gets a little (read: a lot) bitter if someone happens to mention you

Volleyball helps him immensely during this time

He throws himself into improving his setting and techniques, rep after rep

Atsumu tries to avoid all thoughts related to you because they never fail to make his chest hurt

In the end, he knows it was his own decision so he tries hard to move on

💋 - How does Lanque feel about people who cheat? Does he see a reason for it, or is it completely immoral?

Outwardly, Lanque pulls the “that’s just how it is on this bitch of an earth.” He’s not going to stop them or say anything, but he will snitch ASAP because he wants that quid pro quo, hurt for hurt. He definitely does not think it’s okay, and he definitely loses respect towards a person who can’t be devoted and honest in a committed relationship. For all that he may shirk his duties and responsibilities as a jade, you don’t live a lifestyle like that and not want to have something similar to the dedication that you give to a system you may not even believe in.

More personally, I think Lanque is jaded (no pun intended) enough to believe that people are inherently good. Does he think cheating is justified? No, but he knows it happens and he wouldn’t be surprised if it happened to him, either. Though he sees no real reason to cheat, he is not so idealistic to not expect it. He personally would never consider the idea in his own committed relationships, few and far between as those are. Making someone jealous with a little flirting, however, is fair game. Cheating to Lanque is more an emotional thing than a physical thing.

🌺 - Does Lanque have a favorite flower? Why does he like it?

OKAY so deep headcanon time. I associate rainbow drinkers with victorian era stories of vampires (it’s about the repressed se//xuality, sensuaIity, and longing), and because of this I think there is a lot of flower language and symbolism that dedicated fans like to devote themselves to.

Lanque is a dedicated fan; his rp sessions are well researched. He knows the flower language.

BUT he also has to like the shape of the flower itself. So, his favorite flowers are: gardenias (the white petals to remind you of his white lapels; the meaning is “secret love), wild roses (outward appearance of traditional romance, the meaning is “pleasure and pain”), calla lillies (the yonic suggestiveness of the deep color surrounded by white is well known and well documented in purple prose throughout rainbow drinker livechurnal rpers, the meaning is simply “beauty), and amaryllis (an ostentatious flower for “pride”).

👧 - What is Lanque’s relationship like with his siblings cloistermates? Who does he get along with best?

In order of most well liked to least well liked:

Wanshi: The truth comes out: Lanque gets along children. There’s a small spark of hope he feels when he sees innocence and genuine, childlike happiness; he wants her to feel that for as long as possible, but at the same time he feels both resentment and resignation. She won’t keep that innocence long, and he’s jealous that she gets to feel it at all. Still, they have fun together. Wanshi is good at bringing out the storyteller in Lanque, and Lanque likes that she’s an accidental shit starter (not her fault the jades are all so wound tight).

Daraya: he truly sees her as a younger version of himself, like a little sister. There’s a secret desire there to make her the best version of what he’s trying to be, since he believes he can help her prevent making the same mistakes he has. They genuinely have fun griping and complaining and slacking off together. Just because they get along, though, doesn’t mean they don’t butt heads. Lanque thinks she tries too hard to be apathetic; Daraya thinks Lanque can be pushy and too eager to jump into risky behavior. Lanque thinks Daraya is impulsive; Daraya thinks the same of him. Daraya thinks Lanque tries too hard and goes to far to prove his points; Lanque thinks Daraya has no points to prove.

Bronya: Feels some grudging respect towards her, but yearns for the person she could have been. Lanque will never get along with people who he perceives (or people who perceive themselves) as authority figures. I have too many feelings to articulate in words about their relationship; I tried to capture it in my fic “Self (ish)” but idk if I was successful. I’ll make another post about it when I can organize my thoughts better.

Karako: His “annoying” younger brother; really, he’s jealous that Bronya lets Karako get away with so much shit that the jades would get reamed for. But Karako is a good listener, and they occasionally have fun exploring the caverns together. Lanque finds Karako’s curiosity endearing, despite everything. -There has to be devotion and dedication. He needs to feel wanted and pursued.

-Hates to feel pitied; it’s easier for him to swallow anger. If he can see your anger towards the system instead of waxing poetic about how he ~*suffers*~, he is more likely to trust you and assume that you’d be willing to help him. It’s the difference between kindness and niceness for him; if your car broke down on the side of the road, apologizing for the break down doesn’t do shit without a jack and a wrench. Lanque has no need for niceties in his life, but genuine kindness goes a long way for him, especially if it isn’t sugar coated.

-Needs to feel a deep emotional connection with someone. Lanque secretly judges his meaningful relationships on how much hurt they could bring him: the idea of losing them, the idea of being without. If it hurts, he knows his feelings are real. He doesn’t latch onto people easily.

-As for how quickly, it’s a long process. He needs time to accept his feelings, first, and he will put you through the gauntlet before committing. It’s a little “if you can’t handle me at my Worst, you don’t deserVe me at my best 💅💅 “ but it’s also a little bit of fear, too. As stated above, he judges his feelings based on how much it would hurt to lose you. If he’s putting you through the gauntlet, he can convince himself it wasn’t meant to be if you leave.
