Hi! I am so happy to find someone with as many fandoms as me, so I have a selection: (I honestly don't mind whichever one you want to do) Yandere Romantic Mettaton, or Leo Valdez, or Druig, or Camilo from Encanto (if you take requests for him), or Yandere Platonic Sprite, Yelena or Luisa from Encanto, or Undyne, all with a fem or gn reader please! My prompt is how they'd react to a smart reader (maybe a child of Athena for PJO) that tries to escape, or cut ties with them (platonic)! Thanks!
(Okay, I had to go with Leo, just because the idea of Leo kidnapping someone is great, to me.)
You edged toward the bend in the corridor, taking up as little space as you could without daring to touch the wall. The next stretch of hallway looked nondescript– the worst kind. You sized up all that you could see of the floor, ceiling, and walls. Most children of Hephaestus were good at disguising pressure plates and trapdoors, and your captor was the best of the best.
But he seemed to move through this place quickly, when he was here; when he left to bring you food, it never took him long. Which meant either that he had a passageway of his own, without the traps, that was hidden from you, or that there was a quick way to pass through.
And since his traps were all nonfatal, you decided to gamble on the latter.
You could easily imagine Leo getting a kick out of easily, routinely navigating through his own maze of tricks and snares several times a day.
You lowered yourself to ground-level to examine the floor again. Yes, they were slight but noticeable: indentations. Little dips in the floorboards, from having been trodden in a particular way over and over and over again. He did run through every time, and he knew the safe way to do so.
You ran through. With great precision, you regulated each step so that your foot always landed in one of the indentations he'd left behind.
You had almost reached the end of the hallway when a giant net scooped you up, and then you were dangling, helpless, from the ceiling. Your foot had landed correctly, but there had still been a trap waiting for you. You strained against the net for a few seconds before deeming it a waste of your energy.
Not long after, Leo showed up, his eyes bright with intrigue. "Wow, you got far!" he observed. "You cleared Section 1 and got halfway through Section 2; that's huge!"
"One of the indentations in the floor was a fake one?" you gathered.
"I'll never tell," he said with a wink. His eyes kept darting over you, taking in the precarious way you dangled, as if the sight was very appealing to him. "You really did make it far. You don't have to keep impressing me, you know; I'm starting to feel spoiled."
"Let me down, Leo."
"Aye aye, captain; back to your room you go."
You sighed but allowed him to steer you back to your room. "This is overkill," you said, though you knew it was pointless. Most demigods had hangups in the realm of separation and attachment; being a demigod meant seeing your loved ones endangered and possibly lost. And Leo was no exception. Far from it; once one got past his wall of lighthearted emotional avoidance (even accidentally), he became more averse to the thought of losing someone he loved than perhaps anyone you'd ever met.
He masked it with jokes and an impish smile, but he hadn't sequestered you behind a network of elaborate traps and protections just for fun. He was terrified of you leaving, he was terrified of something hurting you, and judging by the hoses rigged around your living quarters that would automatically blast him with fire retardant chemicals if he even lit a fire on his pinkie, he was terrified of hurting you himself.
As he opened the door to your room and you went to sit at your reading desk, you continued, "This isn't sustainable. My siblings are some of the smartest people at camp; eventually, they'll figure out you're the one who took me. People are going to come looking for me."
"I'll make sure they don't make it to this bunker," he said. "For their sake. I don't want to have to hurt anybody."
"If you fill the surrounding area with traps and obfuscations, you'll just confirm any suspicion they have of where I am."
"Give me some credit. I haven't made it easy to find you, no matter who their godly parent is. And the longer they haven't found you, the more likely they'll start to think some monster just ate you and give up on looking," he said cheerfully.
You exhaled sharply, annoyed that he wasn't wrong. Really, given how long you'd been here, you would have suspected they'd burned your shroud already, were it not for the fact that Leo would have definitely mentioned it if they had. But it wouldn't be long now.
Maybe he would give himself away when they did. Maybe he would look a little too cheerful, once the camp decided you were dead, and someone would catch onto him. You weren't sure how good his acting was, when he was there; he was so openly unhinged when he was with you, and there was no way he was the same around anyone else, or he'd have been caught your first day here.
"I made you something, while I was out," he said. He didn't wait for you to acknowledge it; just pulled out a little mechanical hummingbird that flew around the room when he wound it up and landed gently on your lap when it needed to be wound again.
Back before he'd trapped you here, you'd used to be thrilled by every little trinket he made for you. They were all so cute, so thoughtful. Even now, you couldn't help your demeanor softening as you turned the little metal bird over in your hands.
Still, in lieu of thanking him, you just quietly said, "I'm hungry."
"Dinner's coming right up," he assured you. He started to leave, then paused in the door frame, still mostly turned away. "Let's not think about the other demigods trying to rescue you anymore, okay?" He paused. "I'd hate to barbecue any of our cousins, you know?" He scratched his head, more restless than before, and then left.
Your shoulders were tense. Did he mean it? You brought up the topic of being saved to get his reaction, and still you weren't sure you believed his words. Leo was a nice guy, present situation excepted. He wasn't above using hyperbole to make a point. You didn't believe he would really kill them. But you also didn't believe there was no truth to what he was saying. Because the point wasn't what he would do to them- not exactly. The point was that he wouldn't give up. Faced with their opposition, he did not plan to back down.
The door to your room closed.
You wound up the hummingbird and watched it fly around.

No, damn it, but since you want to draw me out, here I go 😭😭😭:
(Also, if I get proven wrong on any of these, I'll fully accept the L 😫)
Starting off with my staple, I don't think Isabela and Dolores are true besties. I think they're close, but not besties, at least not at the time the movie was taking place, but maybe when they were younger.
In the same vein, I have the exact same feelings about Mirabel and Camilo, except I think they'd be less close than Isabela and Dolores.
I don't think Mariano was intended to come across as unintelligent as the fandom has made him out to be. I feel like everyone took Mirabel name-calling him a "big dumb hunk" wayyy too literally, but the creators are probably gonna run with the fandom take now.
And I think his poems and songs would be good. This is meta but Maluma (Mariano's VA) started out songwriting because he wrote ghost-wrote love poems for his friends to impress gyaldem and it worked, and then he went on to become a global popstar (purr). Disney has based little details off of the VAs in the past so... 🧐 Like, put some respect on my man's name, he may be stupid in love but he can write a banger for sure
I think Bruno - rightly - grew a bit bitter towards the Encantownies for always blaming him for everything.
I don't think Dolores knew for sure that Bruno was still in Casita, just had a suspicion (because, as well, who tf would guess they have secret corridors and rooms in the walls of their house?)
This one is a bet, but I'm a gambling gyal: I don't think Isabela will be able to grow fruit and veg post-rebuild 😬 (not that I know of some scientific difference, I just don't think that's the metaphor)
I think Camilo's VA might get recast if they do a series instead of a sequel 💀 Love Rhenzy but I get the vibe that it was just a bag and a cool opportunity to him but not something he's invested in
I don't think Antonio would go vegetarian or vegan or anything like that, I think he becomes really mature to the madness within the animal kingdom so a lot of stuff wouldn't bother him as much as it would other people.
I don't think Dolores' power is as bad or overwhelming for her as the fandom makes it out to be. She looked fine with the fireworks, all she did was cover her ears, but was still smiling and enjoying herself. Fireworks are LOUD, I even cover my sub-par ears for fireworks, christmas crackers, party poppers, etc. Ole girl is fine, especially considering her gift.
I don't think the family were that tight before the house crumbled. I think they were mostly wrapped up with their own shit cause when I think of 'dysfunctional family that lives in the same house', I think of the drama series, Greenleaf. If you've never watched, it's basically pure unadulterated mess, secrets, lies and drama. Sure the family have their moments, their bonds, but in general everyone's got their own bs to deal with. So, whilst, of course they do a lot together, (and it's a Disney family so it won't be as intense) I feel like they don't really pour their hearts out and support each other in a very genuine way until they start working on changing the family dynamics when they rebuild Casita.

Witch Hat News #4 - Lessons from the Archives

Yes, like many twenty-somethings in the creative field now, I was forged in a rather specific fire – the classic Internet pipeline of Neopets, Deviantart, Tumblr, Twitter, usually interspaced at some point with either a gender crisis or a formal diagnosis of mental illness.
You see, for a young nerdy preteen in 2010, you have two sexy choices made available to you, neither of which you will perceive until it's too late. You will choose either the path of solitude (voraciously consuming and creating content in incredible loneliness and feeling like the only person in the world who does so), or the path of the internet, where you will learn at an incredibly young age how to receive and handle a death threat. I was raised on a raw, unfiltered diet of fandom. (Sonic the Hedgehog. The world has not been kind to me.)
The fans and the hermits have a lot to teach each other. In fact, as easy as it is to make fun of – well – most people on the internet, there is something valuable to be learned from every subculture of creativity, including the horny ones.
So let me make a confession to you: I'm a fanfiction writer. I have a shameful record of 155,821 words, none of which will ever give me a scrap of credibility with anyone, including other fanfiction writers. (Heavy is the head that wears the dunce hat of Adventure/Comedy.) Hell, I've spent over a year picking away at a fancomic project. For zero dollars and no publication accolades, I have written at least five full completed novellas, which will never be published, be recognised, or prove anything except my big, fat crush on the uncle from Encanto.
My god, was it freeing.
The social pressure to monetize your art is insane. I took my first art commission before I even had my first bank account. It was my teenage dream: to be paid is to obtain credibility. The label will hang over your head like an execution hood: PROFESSIONAL. Of course, the loop never really stops; start making money and suddenly your eyes are open to how many opportunities you're missing, and how little you make compared to others, and how wide the chasm is between you and full-time creation.
(That's not to say the money and recognition aren't nice! That part I do recommend.)
But making fan content, and making friends who also make fan content, and building up a small audience of people who just want to be there for fun is incredibly liberating when you're not used to it. Get a bunch of friends who create together, join a community that makes its own memes and creates a bubble of mutual feedback and appreciation, and you start to realise: this is how they made the old tales, the oral ones before the printing press.
Here's two lessons from the archives.
Love characters. Fall in love with their vulnerable moments, their jokes, their relationship dynamics, the little unseen parts of them that you can never put in a real story because there's simply no point. Linger on the details. Develop a little crush. Project all your issues and obsess over nothing. Love your own characters, and you'll find suddenly that creating art about them changes from a chore to an act of affection. Learn what makes you fall in love with other stories, and look for the same aspects in your own.
Making art to impress a large audience will disappoint you; making art to impress a social circle of about ten interested people is how life is supposed to be lived. The early humans who painted mammoths on cave walls had no audience except themselves.
Here's a quote I like, from Prof. Henry Jenkins, Provost Professor of Communication, Journalism and Cinematic Arts at University of Southern California: "Contemporary Web culture is the traditional folk process working at lightning speed on a global scale. The difference is that our core myths now belong to corporations, rather than the folk.”
Here's another quote I like, from twitter user @FarfinFarfin: "the fastest way to improve your art is to become some sort of pervert, doesn't really matter what kind, whatever you're comfortable with".
Reviews
The Northern Caves by @nostalgebraist. The Northern Caves is a cosmic horror story about unwary scholars who delved too deep into the ancient texts, except the scholars are a group of hardcore nerds on an early 2000s fan forum for a mediocre fantasy series, and the ancient texts are fan theories about the author's baffling final novel. I know almost nothing about original fiction on Archive of Our Own, but I recognise a wonderfully online scary story when I see one. Psychological, terrifying, and twistedly fascinating reading for anyone who's ever watched an online community implode.
Songs for Girls in Love by @phemiec. PhemieC was one of my favourite musicians as a teenager, and when I got into my first relationship I rushed into the familiar arms of their love songs. They also were making, at the time, Homestuck fansongs. But when I was 15, this music made more of an impact on me than any classic musician ever could. Songs for Girls In Love has a number of fansongs mixed in, largely for things I've never consumed, but you'd never know it from their lyrical subtlety and I'm still a huge fan.
Digital Land Grab: Media corporations are stealing our cultural heritage. Can we take it back? By Henry Jenkins. Okay, okay, this one's not exactly micro or fiction of any sort. But it is the article that I quoted earlier, and Prof. Jenkins could be described as the grandfather of fanwork studies in academia. A good read about the history and creative validity of fanwork, and the ways in which corporations suppress it. I highly recommend it, even if you know nothing about fanfiction.

Right now the main project I'm working on is a full rewrite AU of miraculous!
If everything goes well, I really want to make a comic about it- But since it is a big project, it will take many years for me to finish everything. Anyways, even if I give up on the comic idea, I'll definitely draw some main plotpoints and concepts.

O projeto principal que eu tô fazendo atualmente é uma reescrita completa de miraculous!
Se tudo der certo, eu queria muito fazer uma comic da AU- Mas já que é um projeto grande, vai demorar muito tempo pra eu finalizar tudo. De qualquer forma, mesmo que eu desista da comic, eu com certeza vou ilustrar alguns pontos principais da histórias e conflitos.

*Bang! Bang!* echoed through the heated room as the forge burned through its fuel. In the middle was the sturdy figure, covered in heat protection gear as he handled the hot iron swords.
A sigh left his body as he finally gives into his emotions, remembering everything.
"I'm the strong one, I'm not nervous." Grinding out the sides of the sword to reduce the chips and make the sharp edge, now only in a sweater and heat protection gloves he works the fine blade.
"I'm as tough as the crust of the Earth is." He removes the gloves after finally being done with the swords for the day. Easily lifting the heavy swords into their stands, the scarred figure turns to leave the large forge.
"I move mountains, I move churches." He grabs his winter coat to protect him from the coldness of Snowchester. "And I glow, 'cause I know what my worth is." The yellow radioactive symbol standing out as it took most of the coats back.
He opens the forges door to be met by the cold breeze. "I don't ask how hard the work is." He turns a corner, standing on top of the wall. "Got a rough indestructible surface."
"Diamonds and platinum, I find 'em, I flatten 'em." His feet lay tracks in the snow of where he once was, he turns to look out at the sea, knowing one or two of his mates are out there messing around. "I take what I'm handed, I break what's demanded, but-" A firework full of colours went off out at sea.
"Under the surface." He was still in his suit, standing behind Quackity and Jschlatt. "I feel berserk as a tightrope walker in a three-ring circus." Quackity leans in close to make the boy unsteady as Schlatt drops a large pile of paper work in his hands.
"Under the surface." Nervously the smaller ram crinkled the paper as Schlatt played with him like a cat toying with a mouse, "Was Hercules ever like, "Yo, I don't wanna fight Cerberus?""
"Under the surface." Tubbo hurrys down the hall with the papers that was given to him from Schlatt with 'TOP SECRET' on it, passing it to the man in front of him. "I'm pretty sure I'm worthless if I can't be of service." Wilbur took the papers with a smile.
"A flaw or a crack" He smiles back at Wilbur before panicking hearing the bigger rams voice, as if he's haunting the young ram.
"The straw in the stack" Feeling as though the President has a grasp around him dragging him down, he struggles.
"That breaks the camel's back." Jschlatt ushering Technoblade with the crossbow. Wilbur having his hands around Tommy's mouth so he doesn't scream out. Hands and body pressed against the box he was now in as the bow was steadied and aimed at him.
"What breaks the camel's back, it's-"
[Tubbo_ went off with a bang due to a firework from [Subscribe to Technoblade] from Technoblade]
Blue, red and white filled the air.
"Pressure, like a drip, drip, drip that'll never stop, whoa" The blood pouring from his face as the wounds stayed when he came back.
"Pressure that'll tip, tip, tip 'til you just go pop, whoa, oh, oh" Tears began to flow from his eyes, as he bandages himself.
"Give it to your sister, your sister's older." He shuffles to Tommy, the blonde beaming with joy as people cheered. Tubbo taking the pressure off Tommy he accepts the role.
"Give her all the heavy things we can't shoulder." Becoming the President just like he was.
"Who am I if I can't run with the ball?" He shakes his head before standing at the podium about to give his speech.
"If I fall to" He whispers as he begins to change from his normal clothes back into a suit.
"Pressure like a grip, grip, grip, and it won't let go, whoa." He turns to see Dream with Tommy, giving an ultimatum.
Feeling as though Dream has him tied like as puppet. "Pressure like a tick, tick, tick 'til it's ready to blow, whoa, oh, oh." Tubbo cracks.
"Give it to your sister, your sister's stronger." He runs to Tommy, "see if she can hang on a little longer."
"Who am I if I can't carry it all?" He questions his choices and option as he turns to Dream.
"If I falter" Dream turns away with a hard hand on Tommy's shoulder.
"Under the surface." He paces around Fundy and Quackity, "I hide my nerves, and it worsens, I worry something is gonna hurt us." Paranoid Technoblade would come back.
"Under the surface." He runs and runs trying to escape Dreams grasp but he never can. "The ship doesn't swerve as it heard how big the iceberg is." As Techno and Dream began to team up.
"Under the surface." He stumbles over only to see the obsidian grid above him, "I think about my purpose, can I somehow preserve this?"
"Line up the dominoes" The tnt becoming placed.
"A light wind blows" The sound of flint and steel igniting can be heard.
"You try to stop it tumbling" He clutches his head.
The constantly igniting and falling of tnt, "but on and on it goes." Technoblade summoning the withers.
"But wait," Hes back at Snowchester. "If I could shake the crushing weight of expectations." Ranboos standing there with Micheal in his hands, waving at him.
Micheal being let down. He runs straight for Tubbo, tackling the rams legs so he staggered and fell. "Would that free some room up for joy."
Ranboo follows suit and falls next to him in the snow. "Or relaxation, or simple pleasure?" Giggles and soft smiles coming from all three.
"Instead, we measure this growing pressure." Tubbo turns to get up, hands clenching.
"Keeps growing, keep going," His short steps became longer and quicker
"'Cause all we know is." Las Nevadas. He begins to make walls, creating Walltown.
"Pressure like a drip, drip, drip that'll never stop, whoa" The cookie outpost becoming heavily fortified.
"Pressure that'll tip, tip, tip 'til you just go pop, whoa-oh-oh." Quackity and him discussing the outpost and agreeing to give it too him instead.
"Give it to your sister, it doesn't hurt, and" He turns to Ranboo expressing how he can help with anything.
"See if she can handle every family burden" He flexes jokingly as he turns to the door with a large nuclear symbol on it.
He enters and quickly approaches the button. "Watch as she buckles and bends but never breaks." His hand just above the button, ready to push it. His open palm closes into a fist. "No mistakes, just." He turns to leave.
Standing outside the prison. "Pressure like a grip, grip, grip, and it won't let go, whoa." Sams sword going straight through the hybrids chest as red and green began to drip onto the grass below. A scream came from the young ram.
"Pressure like a tick, tick, tick 'til it's ready to blow, whoa, oh, oh." Tears feel heavily from the ram as the fight continued around him.
"Give it to your sister and never wonder." He yells at Ghostboo, "If the same pressure would've pulled you under." Realising the tears flowing more from the ghost he pulls away, tugging at his own hair.
"Who am I if I don't have what it takes?" He screams
"No cracks, no breaks" Technoblade giving him the picture of Micheal Ranboo was holding before death.
"No mistakes, no pressure." He readies himself to reek havoc on those who's wronged his family.

Sicktember Day 2
Sicktember Day 2: Homesick
Fandom: 911 Lone Star
Title: Welcome home
Pairing: Carlos Reyes/TK Strand
Summary:
When the children woke up and found their father, it was hard to stop them from breaking more ribs or throwing him to the ground.
Carlos couldn't get them off him and didn't try to all morning. He wanted to hug them, kiss them, play with them and just feel them close as long as possible.
The three of them wanted to take a nap after lunch and Carlos barely had time to tell them the story of what he had done that month as if it were a good fable; in a little more than five minutes, Carlos was asleep.
He was awakened by voices coming from downstairs. TK had let him sleep and he was feeling much better now.
Once he got downstairs, he found there all the people he had missed at some point during that month; his parents, Owen, all 126 of them, Grace, the twins and Charlie who rushed up to hug Uncle Carlos but being very careful not to hurt him.
It was late and the children had been asleep for quite some time. The twins had fallen asleep on the sofa, but Tomi was determined to finish watching Encanto for the umpteenth time, hugging his father and singing the songs softly so as not to wake his sisters.
Those nights were good for TK, enough to keep him from thinking all the time about how far away his husband had been for the past month.
"It'll be a few days," Carlos had told her. "I have to do this, Ty, for the kids, because they might be next for this damn child trafficking and drugs and..."
"I know, worst of all, I know and I'm so proud of you, but I'd do whatever it took to keep you from leaving and let someone else be the one to do this damn undercover mission."
Now that he was alone, like every day he had no work shift and there was no way to empty his mind, TK looked at the phone, for the umpteenth time and as usual there were no messages.
A month without messages, without photos, without hearing Carlos' voice. A month, imagining all the horrible things that could have happened to Carlos. He could be dead and no one would tell him.
And then the phone vibed.
"Look outside.”
The text arrived from a misterious number so Tk's worried. What if Carlos was in trouble and they found out where his family where. But he went and looks
Carlos was standing in the yard he had a bouquet of roses in hand.
Little did TK care about the roses. He ran out, the door slamming against the wall, perhaps waking the children... but he was in shock.
He ran without thinking, his eyes glued to his husband for fear that if he simply blinked, Carlos would disappear. He was also shaking all over, his heart ached from how much he had needed this moment.
"Car... Babe?” When he has it in front of him he sees the black eye and the hand with the cast. “Oh... my... god. Carlos? What... you're hurt!"
TK pulls him into a hug and his husband protested.
"Ow. Ow. Ow... ribs”
"Oh, god. Sorry. Come inside." TK took him by the good hand to make him go inside... it was definitely a bad idea, but Carlos stayed where he was, pulled TK and leaned on his shoulder for balance. "But... what happened?"
"House... first...please. I feel like I might faint."
"Yes sure... we should take you to the hospital."
"Babe, breathe.” Carlos said and showed him again the cast around his hand and wrist. “Already released. Give painkillers and told to rest."
“Is it broken?
"Tee, been to the hospital, I’ve been for a few hour. Bruised ribs, black eye no nasal or ocular fracture, worst part is a broken wrist."
"You should have called." TK said.
He tried to sound pissed off. He was really pissed off but he was also worried for his husband, still freaked out but so happy to have him in his arms that he could only cry.
Just as TK closed the door of the house, he went to his husband and began to remove Carlos' clothes. They smelled bad, of sweat, blood and smoke to so many things that it made TK nauseous, but he couldn't care less.
The shirt was covered in blood stains here and there, more or less dried and he was afraid to ask if it was all Carlos' or if it was someone else's that Carlos had had to hurt or worse.
He took it off too and slid his hands down Carlos' chest past all the bruises.
"This is really hot Tee. But can we go to the bedroom?"
"Babe, I wasn’t thinking about sex. You have broken bones and have been… You have to tell me what happened."
Carlos shut him up with a kiss that almost makes TK fell.
