You aren’t a bad dog for biting back. You are not the aggressor. You are not evil. You are rightfully fed up.

I was talking to a teacher about the Nine Eyes of Lucien novel and we got talking about the Mighty Nein. He plays D&D and knows about CR but doesn't know it super well and he said, "The Mighty Nein...that's the one where Ashley gets to rage, right?"
I thought that was a really lovely way of describing C2. It was Ashley's turn to rage, in C1 it was Travis' and now in C3 its Taliesin's. Being the party barbarian, saying the iconic "I would like to rage!" and getting to rage is like a mantle that gets passed on across the campaigns. Like you can see how excited Travis got whenever Ashley said The Line in C2 and the pair of them are usually the same when Taliesin says it now. That's how I interpreted it anyway, I might just be reading far too much into a throwaway comment, but I thought it was a really nice idea.

Twitch STORIES???
Why is everything becoming TikTok?? I specifically avoid TikTok because it's bad for my brain and I completely dissociate and lose HOURS in bad ways.
I just want to have some social media that doesn't make my brain gremlins worse.
Why??? WHY?!?!?

I’ve seen a lot of people propose which empires SMP s2 characters would be what dnd class, so I might as well put my two bobs worth in. Specifically for Kathrine.
A lot of you argue that she would be a fighter (e.g. full weapon and armour proficiency, melee fighting), while others say she’s a ranger (e.g. magical connection, wields a bow, there’s literally and subclass called Monster Slayer). However, I wish to argue that she is neither of those, but instead a Barbarian.
I know out of context it doesn’t make much sense, but let me explain. From the latest episode, we’ve seen that she wields comically oversized weapons, which are primarily the choice of weapon for Barbarians with a high strength (yes I know I am ignoring the bow, but let’s gloss over that temporarily). She also fights in non traditional fighting attire, reminiscent of Unarmored Defence in which you get a bonus to your AC for not wearing armour.
But the main reason I think she might be a Barbarian is related to her magical girl transformation. Part of her fighting is that she goes into a special state in order to better fight enemies, sort of like going into a rage. She becomes stronger in this state, but it only lasts a certain period (in her case, only when it’s night, and even then we don’t really see her fight the entire night this way).
Now, you’re probably thinking, “but isn’t raging about going into a blood-thirsty frenzy? That’s nothing like what Kathrine’s transformation is like!” And you make a valid point there. But may I introduce to you a secret tool of dnd called:
✨Reflavouring✨
While most content describes raging as going batshit, there is no rule that specifically says all rages have to look like that. The only rules notable is that you cannot cast spells while raging, and if you end your turn without having attacked a hostile creature since your last, then your rage ends. We never see Kathrine use magic of any kind in battle (except for the transformation of course), and the constant fighting can be flavoured as a way to maintain the transformation, as it was designed specifically for fighting.
In other words, if Kathrine were a Barbarian, her equivalent of a rage would instead be reflavoured to her transforming into a magical girl.
With all that being said however, if anybody has any solid (and constructive) arguments about this then I’d be happy to hear them out. I love the idea of the empires SMP being turned into a dnd campaign, and this is simply me just wanting to add to this idea.

growing up I was told to look more feminine, and now that I identify as non-binary I hear things like "but you don't look non-binary!"
I can't win
