Moving had been a surprisingly smooth process that she remembered little of. She had to take care to not think too much about the ornaments she was packing or the boxes she was taping shut or the lonely town she was numbly driving towards, lest the rest of her catch up to the grief weighing her down. Her supervisor had looked plenty confused when she explained where she was transferring to, and muttered something about not knowing if there were any visitors there.
As steep as the change was from working in central London to a significantly sleepier town, she seemed to be adjusting fine. In fact, she was liking the peace and quiet. Or at least, she would, soon enough. She'd learn the right habits, like finding contentment in the stagnant void that descended on her windows far too quickly every evening, the same way she'd unlearn bad habits, like him. So no, her biggest problem was hardly the early sunsets here, but was actually what everyone wanted to talk to her about when she called. The one thing everyone - her old teammates, colleagues, friends - wanted to make sure she knew.
"The gala was fantastic this year - though not as fun without you, of course -"
"You'll never believe who showed up."
"He looked very sharp in his suit. He cleans up nice, I suppose - Anthony Lockwood, I mean."
"They've become quite the celebrities, that Lockwood & Co., though the other two don't seem to tolerate the cameras like he does."
"Oh, you should have seen it. Say what you will about Lockwood but does he know how to make an entrance!"
"Were you at the gala this year?"
She sighed for what must have been the fifth time that day. "No, Ted, I was not. You were at my farewell party, remember?"
"Tha' was for you?"
"Goodbye, Ted."
"Wait! You've seen the pictures, haven't you?"
"No, I haven't, because contrary to popular belief, I am not obsessed with evrything that goes on at Fittes."
"Well, we had a tiptop chocolate fountain this year. Didn't get clogged once and looked absolutely gorgeous. Anywho, I've recently stumbled upon this smashing business opportunity involving chocolate fountains - they're selling like hot cakes, I tell you! - and I'd love to spread the wealth."
"Theodore, you haven't joined another MLM, have you?"
"What is an MLM, other than an opportunity to invest in yourself?"
"Don't make me phone your mother."
The call ended rather abruptly after that. Only Lucy, as always, was an angel.
"I take it you've heard plenty about him?"
"Who? Oh, him. Yes, more than plenty."
"I thought you might. He has...quite the presence, so the papers wanted to interview him, and he agreed - "
" - obviously - "
"And I think they asked him about you at some point."
Her mouth dried. She struggled to find her voice, forcing it to stay casually disinterested. "Hm? What did he say?"
"Absolutely nothing. First and probably last time I've seen him stunned speechless. Naturally, it's all anyone can talk about."
"Mhm."
"He hasn't talked about you, if you're wondering. Sees it coming from a mile away every time George and I try to bring it up. It's so stupid; we know it, he knows it, and he's always in a foul mood. He keeps thinking, these days...Y/N?"
"I don't care."
"No one would blame you if you did."
"I don't."
"So how are you holding up?"
"Well, Luce, I felt happiness outside of external validation for the first time in...ever, then three months later I'm crying in my bathtub wishing I would die, and now I'm miles away from everyone I ever knew and it's always dark outside and I'm always miserable. I'm doing great."
She could hear the exhaustion in the crackling static of the telephone. It occurred to her that she wasn't much acting all that cheerful either.
"If it makes you feel any better, I think he half-expected to see you there."
She inhaled sharply and sat up in her armchair so fast she could feel a cramp curling in her neck. She didn't dare believe Lucy's words. "Really?" she wanted to breathe into the telephone, and revel in dormant delusions, if only for a moment. Instead, she gingerly sank back into the chair, continuing in a flat voice.
"Well, I don't care about any of that now. Oh, I'm sick of it. All of it. If I never hear his name again for as long as I live, it'll be still be too soon. How's George doing?"
After she hung up, she laid in her chair, watching the shadows from her shutters stretch and fold over her furniture as the sun set. She was thinking about the last party she had been to, a yacht party where some of Fittes' and Rotwell's biggest investors were in attendance. How Lockwood had managed to score an invite was beyond her, but what intrigued her more was the cab ride they shared back to Portland Row.
She had been half-dozing off when she felt a hand cover hers. As she blinked at him blearily, she noticed the rigid tension in his spine, as if poised and waiting for an attack. He was clutching her hand purposefully, as if holding off on warning her about something malevolent that was consuming him. She couldn't see his face, which began to feel no different from the cold, hard window pane it was peering out of.
She stirred, distantly unnerved by his impersonality. He glanced at her, apologetically retracting his hand with a sheepish smile. But that look of consternation remained on his face as he turned back to the window with a furrowed brow, with the air of waiting for something. He visibly relaxed as they approached Portland Row, but she couldn't shake off the uneasy feeling even by the time they reached the doorstep.
"You all right?" she was asking, while Lockwood fumbled with their keys.
"'Course. Why wouldn't I be?"
She didn't respond, and the two of them watched him wrench at the key in the lock, trying to steady his mildly trembling fingers.
"Key turns the other way."
He paused his efforts, and after a second or two turned the key the other way. The door slid open smoothly with a click. He held it open, but she just looked at him expectantly. He sighed.
"I'm fine, I promise. I just...get a little nervous around some parts of London."
"Which parts?"
"Some."
"Scared of what?"
"A few things."
"Why?"
"For fun. Look, I'm freezing out here. Can we just drop this?"
That was more than a mild exaggeration; the sun had only just set and the air was still pleasantly balmy. But he looked so beseechingly, and it didn't take much for her to relent when it came to Lockwood, so they stepped inside and shrugged their coats off in silence.
"I'll tell you some day. I'm sure I will."
That was some day too far away. Now she'll never know if, or why he ever felt like that. Or rather, she wouldn't know when he would feel like that. But it was no matter. It was none of her business then, and it was even less of her business now.
She had mostly forgotten about her conversation with Lucy by the following week, which was why her parcel came as a bit of a surprise, especially since she'd mentioned being swamped by a mountain of upcoming cases.

I was thinking about our call the other day. On a completely unrelated note, here's about every gossip rag from the past month I could find at Arif's.
Love, Lucy.
She was beginning to see what was so appealing about these magazines. As ruthless as they could be, they sure knew how to sell a pipe dream to common folk with less exciting lives. The gala was clearly as glitzy and glamorous as it was every year, and the articles held an air of intrigue now that she was quite separate from Fittes. But that quivering excitement became somewhat muffled as she flipped through the glossy pages.
The Anthony Lockwood she saw now looked worlds apart from the Lockwood she left behind. His well-fitting suit, megawatt smile and carefully styled hair made him look expensive in a way that destabilised her. She flipped through photograph after photograph of him looking jarringly luxurious besides walls of text effusing about the success of their latest case, and what an honour it must have been to be personally invited by Marissa Fittes herself. It weighed at the pit in her stomach to see this unfamiliar silhouette of a friend who was become increasingly unattainable, speeding along roads to prosperity faster than she could ever keep up with.
She sifted through the other rags. The most extensive feature was a few pages long, and was centered more on the exciting, up-and-coming agency that was Lockwood & Co. rather than a specific case. There were pictures from their most recent cases, and in each one he looked unnaturally distinct from the last, but in every single one he oozed an appealingly languid charisma. It was good to see him doing so well. She was happy for him. Or she would be, tomorrow, when she had the strength for it. Lockwood was unbearable in a way that made him perfect for a life in the public eye, a life for which she was somehow always deficient. She traced a too-long strand of hair flopped on his forehead in one of the photographs, as if she could magically straighten it out.
She could see him now, thumbing through the pages with an approving tilt to his head, limbs folded uncomfortably in the armchair he always insisted on sharing with her. "No such thing as bad press," he'd claim absent-mindedly, his too-long hair flopping impractically. And she'd watch him with bruised eyes like she always did, wishing for nothing more in that moment shared with him. In other words, wishing for nothing short of what she could never have.
Maybe it was some lingering wish to break herself before he beat her to it. Because that was all it was; dodging blows, lying through pretty teeth, racing ahead to pull one over on him, cursing the feel of his breath on her. There was simply no calm, no respite, only the all-consuming experience of becoming wrapped up in him and losing bits and pieces of herself which would never again be truly hers.
She picked up the telephone again. It felt too heavy in her hand. Numbly, she spun the dial as if on autopilot, keying in her mother's phone number. The dial tone comforted her in some twisted yet cathartic acknowledgement of the emptiness inside of her.
Looking at it now she could see the distinct air of mystery that engulfed Lockwood and clouded her vision. He was never quite fully present; a part of him was always tucked away to be kept secret in some dark corner, and her mind was only too happy to extrapolate, to construct this most desirable yet entirely mythical figment. She felt ragged, winded and worn from battling reality day after day, all alone. And most of all, she felt so very stupid.
Her mother was saying that she had made the right decision. Not that she needed any reminding. Of course her life had taken an upward swing ever since; she'd be a fool to think otherwise. She was positively paralysed with liberty, bedridden with joy, simply immobile with ecstasy!
She was slowly but surely going very insane. Now making eyes at each other, now disconnect, now love, now heartache, now this, now that, but never any peace. Maybe it was some lingering wish to shatter and let the pent up misery dissipate.

Months passed. The holiday season arrived, and she choked through the November blues with shivering bones and clammy hands. Even with the slight uptick in visitors, as was expected in the colder months, her life provided little to distract her from her own ghosts under the floorboards. So when she received a consultancy request from Fittes one morning, she had written back and mailed her response all while still holding the jam knife.
The train was crowded and noisy with the bustle of the holidays, but as it chugged along through the fields of snow, she couldn't help but perk up ever so slightly at every sigh and creak of its wheels. There was a spring in her step all the way to Fittes headquarters, where she was supposed to collect her apartment key.
A tall, indistinct figure was walking out of the revolving doors as she approached. She flinched when she realised who it was - Lockwood, who didn't seem much happier to see her either. He looked mostly well, though the corners of his mouth were a little strained, his face flushed in the cold.
"...Y/N?"
"Lockwood."
"You're...home?"
"Yeah. Um, how have you been?"
"Good...good. Busy. As busy as winter gets."
He was wearing a different coat. It was quite similar to his old one, but this one was thicker and more structured, and looked like it was at least somewhat effective in keeping the brisk winter wind out. He looked foreign and unfamiliar in a way he hadn't since...since the Investors Party.
It had taken her a while to pick his face out of the pretentious crowd, given how preoccupied she was with weaving through the thicket of people. It had taken her a eyes minute to adjust to the almost nauseatingly charismatic silhouette of an especially-chuffed Lockwood in a newly tailored but otherwise identical suit. She tried to give him a reproaching look, but there was something infectious in his smooth ease as he larked about in his prime which made her lips twitch despite herself as he waded through the crowds.
"You really shouldn't be here."
"You're clearly not drunk enough yet."
"How did you even get in? This is invitation-only."
"Had an invite, didn't I?"
She pursed her lips, shaking her head slightly. He was hopelessly incorrigible in an oddly fascinating way. Her voice dropped to a murmur as she felt herself begin to relent.
"I ought to...tell someone about you."
"That you're secretly in love with me?"
"That we have an illegal stowaway."
"You're not going to rat me out, are you?"
The pleading look on his face was enough to give her pause. She was already beginning to regret her decision, but he looked so vivacious it was difficult to stay disapproving for long.
"Excellent. Now, would you be so good as to point me in the direction of the bigger spenders?"
They spend the next few hours laughing and entertaining the many important men on the boat and their great deal of important thoughts. She'd excuse herself towards the end of every conversation to leave Lockwood and the glimmer in his eye to close a deal. For someone so adept at climbing the corporate ladder, she was surprisingly poor at fulfilling these adjacent duties.
She hated every second of it, and she drank as much as she could without raising eyebrows to make it all halfway palatable, but it was all worth it then. He had wanted to stay for as long as it would have been polite, so when they finally left, long after the media had made their rounds at the event, his jacket was folded over his left arm and his hand was delicately holding hers.
When she was stuck in her drafty cottage on the edge of nowhere, she'd think about the feel of his fingers curling around her palm more than it was appropriate, and wonder how she ever thought she was somehow better off here.
But that evening's sense of camraderie was long gone. Now, she regarded him coolly, holding him at arm's length. They may have had a rough falling out, but that didn't mean they couldn't still be friends. Just friends. Nothing more. But the vaguely intimate look in Lockwood's eye told her he was in no mood to entertain any kind of platonic notions.
"I didn't know you were back."
She relented. It was the season of giving, after all.
"Only for a while. Fittes hired me as a consultant for a few months."
He blinked at her. "You could have called."
"I didn't think you'd be interested."
"Of course I'd be interested. I'm always interested when it comes to you."
She sighed sharply. It was so easy to get swept up and believe him when he said things like that, that she wondered how she found the strength to leave. He was a bastard, a ne'er-do-well who only knew how to break her heart after promising sweet, simple luxuries in whispers over expanses of skin. She made her lips tremble, her pulse quicken, her heart shake in all the worst ways.
But underneath all that, love was there. Love was there...still.
"Ready to go?"
They turned in unison towards a strikingly beautiful girl with glossy raven curls walking out of the revolving doors. The girl's smile only slipped a fraction as she shook her hand, and she was distantly aware of making some kind of clumsy introduction. They stuttered through some stunted small talk, during which all she was aware of was the blood roaring in her ears that gave the whole scene a distantly muffled feel. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
"Well, this was...lovely. Shall we go, then?"
The girl turned to leave, but some semblance of hesitation prevented her from pulling Lockwood along with her.. His face still had that same confused look.
"You could have called," he repeated tonelessly, like a broken record. The girl's presence made the back of her neck smart and prickle uncomfortably.
"I might, later."
"Bye. Nice meeting you."
"Nice meeting you too."
"We're home all day."
The last one was from Lockwood.
"Just...if you want to drop by. So that Luce and George don't have my head on a platter by supper."
"Goodbye, Lockwood."
He was captivating in a way that made her want to keep him all to herself. No one needed to intrude on this tantalising secret they shared. It was at that moment that she made the very unfortunate realisation that she didn't need to say it out loud to make what she had been screaming from the rooftops of her heart any more real - him and her would forever be unfinished business.
And nothing she could do could make the palpitations of her heart any less real either.
As the life she once dreamed of walked away from her, all she was acutely aware of was that it was a lingering wish, some half-thought dream, to sit opposite him in a chilly kitchen on blustery mornings, watching him drink his tea while she got drunk on him.

New kuroshitsuji chapter!
Spoilers under the cut!
OMG IM SO HAPPY THAT AT LEAST FINNY SURVIVED LIKE IMAGINE!!
I'm still devastated about snake he deserved better but also like 100% sure Doll is going to try to torn him into a bizarre doll too a which is going to be interesting to see, since he understands how bad that sort of existence is, but idt you'll actually awaken as a functional bizarre doll without some really powerful motivation.
Still wondering who Artie is based on - it's clearly Polaris and it's a butler type devoted to the phantomhives but we haven't really seen anyone who fits?
Theo is obviously there to be fodder for Real! Ciel and we found out Mabel and the Collies are for Doll, so the only one missing is the maid type....
Intriguing!
Plus ahhh we're finally back with THE BOY and his demon - I enjoyed the individual arcs immensely bc it was great to get all those flashbacks but i missed my love Ciel and his pretty pet hhhh LET'S GO NEXT MONTH

There was a moment during episode 4, pretty much around this exact shot, where I started to wonder whether Jojo is maybe just a bit of a masochist for choosing to write a romantic story about two characters who constantly refuse to say or show what they’re actually feeling.
It's hard enough pulling a romance off with one closed-off character, but oh my god. He absolutely does make it work though. I guess when your characters spend so much time putting up a mask, or even flat out lying to one another, then all of a sudden the truth can be found in the inconsistencies.
Nueng has a couple of really nice scenes with Chopper in this episode where they talk seemingly pretty openly about their lives. At one point, he directly says to Chopper that he trusts Ben (“Besides you, my cousin, he is another person I can trust”). Only, when Palm later asks Nueng the same question, he answers “I don’t know.”
That direct contradiction is interesting, and it sort of makes me wonder whether Nueng even really trusts Chopper enough to be completely open with him about his feelings. It’s not even that Nueng is necessarily trying to lie to Chopper - just that maybe he’s putting up something of a front, because that’s just what he does. I don’t even think this contradiction implies that Nueng doesn’t like Ben, or is suspicious of Ben, necessarily. Just that he doesn’t trust him completely. Nueng has had plenty of moments of seeming emotional honesty with Ben, and they could all have been completely sincere, but Palm asks “Can he really be trusted?” and Nueng stares at him, is silent for a long, long moment, and answers with: “I’m not sure.”
So, for Ben, even if Nueng does genuinely hold good feelings towards him, there’s possibly always going to be this little voice of doubt in his head.
After expressing his doubts to Palm, Nueng goes onto talk about being able to trust in someone else’s feelings, which sort of echoes his earlier conversation with Ben where he talks about his feelings of loneliness and how unworthy he feels of loving or being loved. This feels like such a key part of who Nueng is and what drives some of the things he does. That could probably do with its own post though, because hhhh. Moving on.
There’s a moment in this episode where we actively see Nueng decide to put a mask up for Ben (and omg Phuwin’s acting... don’t get me started don’t even look at me-)
At the party, Ben and Nueng catch up once they’ve finished performing. Nueng has spent the entire time so far staring very sullenly at Palm and Maggie, and so when Ben first speaks to him, he sounds pretty cold and withdrawn still.
It’s only when Ben jokes about carrying Nueng home that Nueng decides to rein it in a little bit. He closes his eyes, and when he opens them again, his entire demeanour has softened. He decides to give Ben what he’s looking for - he flirts, he makes some very vague promises. He... essentially treats Ben the way he’s been treating Palm this entire time, only with a lot less scolding. And a lot less intention, possibly - there’s little moments in that scene where Nueng looks so briefly unsure about how to appease Ben without actually promising too much. That never really happens with Palm.
Ben leaves, and the second his back is turned, Nueng’s face drops once more, back to being sullen, still mad about Palm and Maggie.
Nueng’s propensity to be closed off with the people around him extends to... honestly, everyone in Nueng’s life. Including Palm, although I’d argue that Nueng seems to trust Palm at least a more wholly than he does anyone else. Nueng even tells Palm that because they’re friends they shouldn’t lie to one another, and that he’s is easy to read (which... Nueng, oh Nueng, my sweet little summer sparrow, my precious idiot). He seems to trust that Palm, at least, is one of the infinitesimally small number of people in this world who absolutely holds no bad intentions towards him. He implies as much to Palm at the lake (”When I have you watching my back, it kind of feels good.”)
But even so, in that same scene, we see Nueng furiously dance around his jealousy over Palm and Maggie, whilst actively trying to get more information on what is actually going on between them. He acts so cooly detached and unemotional about it (much like Palm also does - AND I’LL GET TO HIM IN ANOTHER POST BC THIS IS TOO LONG I need to be stopped), but we see very clearly in the moments when Nueng is alone that that’s not the case at all.
But maybe that’s less of a trust thing and more of a ‘I think I have feelings for my hot bodyguard who I definitely would not be allowed to date and who might literally be dating someone else anyway’ thing.

I wondered if Damien ever existed in the OG timeline! If yes, do you have a story based on it? :)
Y’know…despite being a MW fan of both the originals and the reboots, it has actually never crossed my mind about Damien being in the original trilogy! So thank you for your ask!! these are kinda short tbh hhhh
Damien in the OG!MW Headcanons (?)
Key point: is actually part of TF141 compared to the reboot games, where he is an associate (like a Farah, Alejandro, Nikolai, etc).
Therefore, he would be ‘seen’ in-game from mw2 -> mw3. More so in mw2 in levels such as Cliffhanger, in Rio de Janeiro with the 141, The Gulag, so on. Was with Price and Soap when loose ends happened.
Characterisation-wise: more commanding and confident than reboot!Damien, isn’t afraid to speak his mind when things go to shit or on orders he does not agree with. Similar to Ghost being like “bloody yanks, I thought they were the good guys” situation.
Following this, he isn’t taken under anyone’s wing in the OG, but rather took Roach under his though they are the same rank >:( they got along pretty well though, Damien admired Roach’s talents a lot and is happy hes in the 141 :] (roach I miss u)
Definitely dies in mw3. Most likely was involved in the train crash back in the Westminster Tube, London, UK when SAS forces investigate the suspicious shipment or in ‘Blood Brothers’ (double death hehe) but unlike Soap, his death was in an instant as he was closest to the blast (Soap only pushed Yuri out, not Damien ☹)
Speaking of Yuri, he never trusted him 100% due to his ties Makarov. Literally had to have some sense knocked into him before he started working with him – meaning Price or Soap got into a pretty heated argument with Damien over Yuri joining the 141. He eventually became *alright* with working with him but then…y’know, death.

First impression: harry anderson character unlocked brain go brrrr. goofy, funny, very deep and wise.
Impression now: HARRY STONE BRAIN GO BRRRR. he's my best friend, he's my homeboy, my rotten little soldier, my sweet cheese, etc etc. fr though like!!! thisguy! we both love the 40s vibes. we both don't get romantic cues. we both want low drama but lots of fun in everything. we're besties.

Idea for a story: ok so 1) harry fully adopts leon instead of just fostering until the couple adopts him. 2) these ones could go either way, like if harry had adopted him or not. i AM very fond of leon still coming to harry for stuff after he's been adopted. so either way, take it as you like BUT ANYWAY harry teaching leon how to drive and leon coming out to harry and through that, harry realizes he is also queer. like he's a GOOD judge and obvi not homophobic, but he realizes through this wonderful young person he has a deep connection to, that he has a lot of internalized queerphobia and he also is queer! and then he tells leon and they like happy cry together and get ice-cream or something.

Idea for a story: ummmmm the doctor from dw takes me on an adventure and we land on the enterprise and jim kirk and i fall in love *tucks hair behind my ear in cringe* *peace sign* jk that would be fun but tbh i want a cute story about uhura teaching kirk some kind of specific dance before he takes spock on a date on a planet. uhura is also teaching spock the same dance. it's specifically from that planet and both are trying to impress each other but neither of them are very good at the dance so when they're actually on the date they keep tripping over each other until spock falls on top of kirk and spock pulls some romantic bullshit like 'clearly neither of us are accustomed to this culture but...' [ he looks at jim's lips, then back to his eyes, jim's heart is beating out of his chest. they're so close that spock CAN in fact feel it] 'i am familiar with... earth customs' AND BOOM SPOCK KISSES JIM. IT WAS the middle of the night and you couldn't sleep.
You had tried to go to sleep, trying to find the right position so you could indulge in a much-needed slumber, yet even as the moon rose ー you still could not for the life of you, get to sleep.
"Hhhh.." You groaned as you rubbed your face, you were bored. It was around 2 am by now, so you decided to just say 'fuck it' and get up. The scissors were cold when you picked them up, but you couldn't be happier. You'd been putting this off for the longest time, wondering if you should do it, knowing there was a possibility you could cut your hair too short.
But it was better than having that heavy feeling weighing on your chest because you didn't look the way you wanted to. You smiled as you softly stepped out to head to the bathroom, careful not to be too loud so you didn't wake anyone up. Lord knows Maki would be pissed if you were to interrupt her sleep.
The lights blinded you for a bit before your eyes adjusted to the brightness. You looked into the mirror with a smile, happy that you were finally going to get to cut your hair after weeks of ignoring it.
You stood there for a moment wondering what hairstyle you should go for, whether you should keep it the same as before or try out something different. After a while, you decided to cut it the same you always have and take it from there.
You smiled as you hummed to yourself, tresses of hair falling into the sink as you snipped them off. That weight on your chest had finally been lifted, it was like you were you again. For the past two weeks, you didn't really feel like yourself, you felt.. wrong?
So the relief you got from being able to look at yourself in the mirror and actually be happy was assuring.
That was, until you heard the door to the bathroom open.
Your eyes widened as you looked at Yuuta who was looking at you. He could tell you'd done something to your hair with the way there were pieces of it in the sink & counter. You looked like a deer caught in headlights.
"Uhm.. ?" He looked confused.
"Hi." You blurted out as a smile began to tug at your lips. "Sorry- I'll clean this up." You laid the scissors down on the counter so you could get to cleaning up all the cut hair around you & on your clothes.
"Why are you.. cutting your hair?" he asked as he sat on the counter, looking down at you as you cleaned up. He genuinely wanted to know why.
"I needed to." you said to him.
He chuckled, "No, I mean- How come you're cutting it at this hour?" He didn't need you to explain yourself, he was just curious.
"Oh- Well, i felt like i'd been putting it off and just couldn't sleep so," You shrugged. "Just decided to do it now or else i'd just keep putting it off."
"I see.." He smiled as you looked at yourself in the mirror. He understood why you were doing it & was honestly just happy that you were happy. "I like it."
"Like what?" You looked over at hi curiously.
"Your hair. It looks nice." He smiled warmly as he reached over to pet your fluffy hair, he was one of the people you let touch your hair since you trusted him.
You smiled at how accepting he was. He was the first person you came out to after all, so there was an unbreakable trust between the two of you.
"Thank you," you smiled and looked around to make sure the place was clean, "I'll see you tomorrow for training?" you grabbed the scissors & the comb you'd brought.
"Yeah," He smiled as he hopped off the counter, "Good night, ____."
"Night, Yuu..!" You smiled to yourself as you walked out of the bathroom, heading back to your room.
Truly, there was no other better feeling than being comfortable in your own skin.

/// Rant: Just a post detailing the things I didn't like in the Beyond comics that I remember or have seen since setting this blog up. I'll probably sandwich some things I did like in here too so it's not all negative. These are all just my opinions. If you like something from this list, cool. You do you, I'll do me.
Okay so starting with things that I read completely through a few years ago.
Dick Grayson clones.
Not sure why Amanda made these. But the only real thing I personally liked from Hush Beyond was the introduction of a new Catwoman. I also liked that she broke the trope of Catwoman/Batman, making her much more unique to herself. As much as I like Selina/Bruce (and I do), a new generation of something doesn't and shouldn't have to be a carbon copy of the original.
Which I think is why I like the cartoon so much. They played with a lot of the same tropes, but they tackled them in different ways. Because Terry isn't Bruce and these villains and problems aren't the same. (except for Viktor)
Next, JLB... Well I have it in my rules and about... but, Zod/Superboy had a great initial backstory. He was the son of Jax-ur and was born in the Phantom zone. Superman and the gang rescue him and Supes adopts him. Would have been great to leave it there.
However, they ruined it, the idea of what the Justice Lords actually are, and Wonder Woman all in one fell swoop. Before this arc, these comics were actually going pretty good imo. Please read them and stop as soon as you see Wonder Woman or "Lord" Superman.
But then every other comic at the time suddenly was doing something with Earth 3... so I guess maybe they were pressured to as well? Either was this arc sucked.
They decided to treat the Justice Lords like Earth 3 characters. Which doesn't work if you actually watched those episodes. Even if you ignore the fact that Luthor's device took their powers AWAY in their episode... The Justice Lords aren't """evil""" versions of the JL. They're versions that go to the extreme to keep people safe. There's a very big difference here in characterization. To add them into the plot and just have them be like --- generic evil superman??? doesn't work. You haven't comprehended anything if that's what you got from the Justice Lord's cartoon plotline.
And they set this up with Wonder Woman from the DCAU having decided to go back to the Justice Lord's universe to help fix things. She's apparently been there the WHOLE time. It's very in Wonder Woman's character to help those in need so I'm okay with her hopping over to set things straight.
But she also feels responsibility to her own world, there's no way she'd stay that long EVEN with the romance sub-plot they gave her and Justice Lord's Batman. And any look around my blog should tell you WonderBat is my jam. I go for that in a plotline.
Well it helps me hate that plotline more actually, because they had "Lord" Superman kill "Lord" Batman. To stop the fighting "Lord" Superman and Wonder Woman agree to have a baby. That's Zod apparently. Which was squirreled away to the Phantom Zone with Jax-Ur.
None of that makes any sense at all ever. It made so little sense it actually makes me really angry. lol. Wonder Woman would never agree to something like that AND "Lord" Superman has never ever indicated that he wanted something like that. Nor do I think he would have killed "Lord" Batman. Considering, the reason they're all the way they are is because they failed to save Wally. HHHH
Anyway.
Later comic plots I remember hating.
Terry is missing and for some reason past/current timeline Tim has the Beyond suit.
NGL, if you put anyone besides Terry ( MAYBE Bruce) in the suit, you've lost the plot. You don't get it. Just leave please. I will not see it.
Even worse, they made Terry the main villain of that plot line. Brainwashed, but still. :') Not a fan at all of any of this.
Oh there was also a little comic that took place in the past where Barbara revealed to Bruce that she was pregnant with his baby. And Bruce urged her to get an abortion that she didn't want. First off-- I never liked the Bruce/Babs stuff in the cartoon to start with. Second-- Bruce would never. He is so dad coded. :/
And now for things I've seen in passing.
Just getting this out of the way rn--- I assume they've killed Mary McGinnis off due to the boys living with Bruce now and the way Terry talks about her. I don't typically like when series fridge their female characters but, I feel kinda indifferent kinda "Well of course they did, why am I not surprised?" about it. We really didn't get much for Mary in the cartoon besides the fact that she's a normal, caring, single mother.
There's not much there. Barely got any time on screen with Terry and most of it was just lecturing him or telling him about whatever chores he needed to do. So maybe that's why it doesn't quite bother me as much as other women's deaths in comics. I still don't particularly like the move, but there are worse things I've seen so far that make me more upset. Probably would have been fine to just have Mary living there with the boys and Bruce instead tbh.
Also weird, it FEELS like everyone and their mother knows Bruce is Batman, the way everyone talks to him. Which is also just weird to me.
Anyway, Damian... Damian.... Where do I start.
This one feels like the Justice Lords problem. There's already set up in the cartoon that would contradict what they did. They had Damian running the LOA from what I can tell. He still had Goliath. Which was nice I'll admit.
But 1) Damian wouldn't WANT to run the LOA. 2) I highly doubt Damian would have been okay with what his grandpapa did to his mother. 3) They played it off like Bruce knew about Damian from what I saw. Bruce would never allow Damian to be raised by the LOA if he knew abt him. As I said earlier, Bruce is dad coded.
Then there's Matt. Well I like Robin Matt as a concept. I like the circumstances of it being an emergency as to why he took up the mantle, I like that Bruce recognized that if they didn't train Matt, Matt would try to do the hero stuff on his own.
What I didn't like?
JOKERS BACK AGAIN BABY, HERE TO BRAINWASH THE NEW ROBIN!!!
Seriously, how are you gonna rehash a plotline that was already done LEAGUES better. Please let the stupid clown stay dead!!!!!!!!!
That's all I got in me to rant about today. On a nicer note, I still don't know how I feel abt Batwoman, but I like that her design is very Kate Kane but with Nightwing's color palette.

Honestly, if he lives, I can see him surrendering, submitting. Bc what else can you do when your own foundations were sand compared to the granite of your adversary? I'm not sure what all she'd do to or with him, since I don't know her personality. But I can absolutely see her killing him right there as he's now no longer strong enough (in will) to fight. Though I wonder if she would kill him or if she'd see promise in him, a kindred spirit who went to the ends of the earth to avenge her own family's deaths.

we writing some beetlejuice hcs because i’m stuck at a party staving off a breakdown!
a lot of these are beetlelands/goldenrat because i love Them
catch me projecting in all of these whoops
- beetlejuice has adhd. that’s it, that’s the headcanon.
- he has big big rsd problems (already a problem with adhd, made much worse by juno)
- trans beetlejuice and lydia and you Cannot tell me differently
- beej really isn’t as open about it as lydia is, but is a bit better when he’s around people he’s comfortable with
- pride is his exception - you’ll bet him and lydia go full ham at as many parades as they can get to.
- as soon as they can figure out how to leave the house, the maitlands occasionally join them, and delia will drag charles to a few.
- no one is really sure how the maitlands and beetlejuice ended up in a relationship, besides the three themselves, that is. the deetzs did an overnight in nyc, and when they came back, the three of them were dating.
- barbara is definitely the boss of the relationship. you cannot convince me otherwise.
- just because barbara is the boss does not mean that she’s the voice of reason. that’s adam. he’s about 95% of the impulse control for the 3 of them.
- when lydia and beej come up with their schemes, as long as it’s not too insane, there’s a chance barbara and/or delia will join in. (charles and adam both hide when the 4 of them work together - there’s no stopping them.)
- adam cannot cook. he may be good at literally everything else he’s tried, but just cannot cook. (when he does attempt, it’s usually inedible for everyone except beetlejuice, who wholeheartedly supports his efforts)
- on the other hand, beetlejuice is surprisingly good at cooking. none of that “fancy shit”, but mostly comfort food. (he has everyone’s favorite food memorized for when they’re upset.)
- however, do not let him near a microwave. there’s a good chance it’ll either be blown up or lit on fire somehow.
- barbara was the most hesitant about the relationship (after all, he did try and exorcise her) but she decides to go through with it because he seems so genuine
- bj, for all of the problems he has with socal clues, can tell that barbara is kinda uncomfortable, and so he tries his best to be a bit calmer and softer with her at the start. (it doesn’t always work, but she appreciates it nontheless)
- lydia loves her ghost parents, but refused to equate beetlejuice to anything other than an older brother or uncle. everyone agrees.
- bj and delia are good friends, especially when it’s just the two of them. he’s not good at art, but enjoys trying, and the rest of the house has come home to them making doing something artistic more than once.
- they also really like watching crappy reality shows / competition shows and eating and drinking a large amount of snacks and wine while doing so. (when watching blown away on netflix, both could be heard screaming about deborah for days. fucking deborah.)
- barbara, lydia, and adam will join in on occasion. charles joined once and is too scared to do so again.
- bj occasionally brings back ghost animals and other assorted creatures from the netherworld. they’re basically running a sanctuary out of the back yard and the shed that adam conveniently built.
i think that’s it for now because i don’t want this to get as ridiculously long as my original list. if y’all want me to do some hcs, i can t r y, but i’m going to ask that you don’t leave me any requests pertaining to:

a/n: Sure you can anon! Thanks for the request! Kazuha can be such a menace when he's drunk, but that's ok because we love him!
When I say that the Crux Fleet party, I mean that they party.
Kazuha is usually not the biggest drinker, and you'll typically not find him being as intoxicated as his crewmates. However, this time the crew came up with a drinking game and you somehow convinced him to join.
He has always been weak against you.
Cue a few hours later and you've somehow managed to stay somewhat sober while some of your fellow crewmates drop like flies around you.
Now, you've never really seen Kazuha drunk before, and you've always guess that he might be a philosophical drunk. Perhaps even a sleepy drunk.
Boy oh boy you definitely aren't ready for this.
"(Y/N)~" The usually smooth and mellow voice has risen in pitch, and you turn your head to see Kazuha walking – swaying, more like – towards you. His cheeks are flushed and there's a hazy veil over his maple-red eyes as a dopey grin spreads across his face. You barely get a word out before he takes your hand.
"Has anyone told you how beautiful you are? The most beautiful–the beautifulest–" Your eyes narrowed for a moment, but he keeps on going. "Like the stars–or the moon. Or–"
And he keeps going on and on, talking your ear off about how wonderful and gorgeous you are, completely oblivious to how you are beginning to resemble a tomato and the metaphorical steam coming out of your ears.
Kazuha's lacking the usual eloquence and flowery speech of his sober self, but his words still manage to make your heart stutter with their sincerity. And the way his eyes seem to shine as he looks at you with wonder, like you're the best person in the world.
Nope. Nopenopenope. That look is not good for your heart. You turn away, internally screaming and looking like you're ready to combust at any minute.
As if you're not being tortured tested enough, he starts following you around like a puppy.
Always on your heel, not far from you wherever you go and whenever you turn around he would just give you that dopey smile. And Archons, you really don't have the heart to tell him to stop.
But the thing that actually makes you almost flatline is when he clings to you.
You're talking to Beidou, who's (not suprisingly) not as drunk as her crew, about what has been going in Liyue since they left. Kazuha is still by your side, one of his hands now intertwined with yours (oh dear how did that happen?).
The longer your conversation with the captain, the more fidgety you feel him become. He tugs at your hand, but you ignore his attempt in getting your attention. Just when you think he has finally stop, you feel yourself being pulled back until your back meet his chest and his arms encircling around your waist.
"K-Kazuha?" You stutter, your face even redder than before. "Wha–what are you doing?!"
He doesn't answer, only mumbling something inaudible and tightening his hold on you.
"Can you–" You gulp as his warmth envelops you. "Can you please let me go?"
"Don't wanna." He whines quietly. "You're soft...and warm." His words slur together as he nuzzles into the crook of your neck. Beidou snorts at the sight of you two, and you wanted nothing more than to dig a hole and bury yourself in it.
Why do you have a crush on this man again?
Congrats on gaining a koala-like Kazuha, i guess?
No joke though, he clings to you like a koala. You're not going to be able to get rid of him no matter how much you try. He's just gonna guilt you with his puppy eyes and adorable pout and goddamnit maple boy can you stop being this cute.
Even while walking he's gonna hold onto you, not caring one bit about the hoots of his crewmates even when you're just about ready to die of embarrassment.
Will absolutely stare down whoever you're talking to.
"Kazuha! Did you just pinch me?" It didn't hurt, but the fact that he just lightly pinched your side caught you off-guard.
"Pay attention to me, (Y/N)." He pouts, and you wonder whether you should choke or kiss him.
You're just about to say something to him when you notice his face turning a little green. "Kazuha, are you okay?"
"(Y/N), I don't feel so good..."
"Kazuha?...Kazuha! Wait! Don't puke on me!"
Luckily, someone brings over a bucket just in time.
You decide it's finally time for him to get some rest and proceeds to carry his groaning weight to the guest cabin, ignoring the calls and cheers from the others.
You take off his outer layers, leaving him in a layer of kimono, and releases his ponytail. You're just about to tuck him into bed and leave when a hand catch your wrist.
"Don't...go."
"Kazuha? You need to sleep."
"Please...stay with me?" His eyes seem to be pleading with you, squeezing your wrist just a tad more.
You quietly sigh as you debate on what to do inside your head. Finally, you motion for him to scoot over. It's not like this is the first time you will be in the same bed as him, so it should be all right. Right?
As soon as your back hits the mattress he pulls you closer again, this time with your chests against one another. He rests his ear right where your heart is, his arm slung across your waist.
As everything becomes quieter, the noise above deck sounding more distant as you focus on nothing but his warmth, you can't help but place a light kiss on his forehead as his breathing becomes even.
"Goodnight, Kazuha."
The next morning, Kazuha wakes up with a pounding headache and almost no recollection of what happened last night. All he remembered was holding onto something incredibly soft and warm.
And then he sees you enter his room with a cup of water, saying how drunk he was last night. He thanks you and asked what happened, but you just avoid his eyes with a blush on your cheeks, stumbling all over your words about how you think Beidou is calling you.
Later, he finds out from the other members about how he acted last night. They've never seen him that red before, the tips of his ears burning hot as a blush rivaling the color of his eyes spread down to his neck.
They're never going to let him live down the way he clings to his crush after a few too many drinks. Who knew the normally calm and nonchalant Kazuha has that side to him?
Not that you're complaining deep down, by the way. But you're not gonna let him know that.

okay i know it wasn't uncommon back in the day but laurent is barely 20 and torveld was described as someone in his 40s, and laurent seems uncomfortable here. i'm guessing he might -- understandably -- have an issue with age differences, since he also very clearly doesn't like nicaise being a pet either. saving the akielon slaves (or, rather, slighting his uncle in the process) must be important enough to him that he willingly exposes himself to these situations, then.

how i would have changed s2 of hsmtmts
obvious disclaimer but im not a screenwriter or anyth so im not claiming what i want is best, this is just for fun lololol
okay so first of all nini would still have dropped out of yac but she wouldn’t have gone back to east, she would have transferred to north bc she was too ashamed to tell anyone she left at first and maybe she still wants to explore who she is away from ricky and the others
nini could join north’s batb and this way maybe we could have some playful rivalry with lily and nini and more scenes with antoine shdhdjdj also it could have been a great opportunity to flesh out lily’s character so those scenes where she reaches out to ricky and her confession at the end of the season actually make sense lol
speaking of ricky ,,, i think he should have left the play at some point hear me out. he only joined in the first place because of nini and barely wanted to do it at all once he realized he wasn’t gonna be able to perform with her. he could have joined crew and been a manager with natalie or smth considering he rlly does see the theater gang as a second family. also this would leave so much room for ej and ricky development and bants since ej joined the av club and began to pursue film. they could have some convos where idk ricky asks ej how he figured out what he wanted to do after duke didn’t work out and ricky could actually develop some interests that arent the play or nini ,,, maybe fucking art club i mean he did p good on that centerpiece for carlos’ quinceañera.
with ricky not being the beast anymore i think seb should take his place that would be soooo good. and since seb isn’t chip anymore carlos won’t make those snide comments about chip being a small unimportant role and we can just cut that whole fight bc it was dumb and bad. we could still have seb being insecure that carlos is only dating him bc there aren’t really any other gay guys at school. in a heartbeat is great and i did like ricky being supportive in the background it was kinda funny too idk dhdjdjfj
ooh i almost forgot abt rini ahshdj okay so i still think they should break up. but in my version there’s no ricky pulling an ej 1.0 and deleting comments off of nini’s insta, cause with ricky in art club and nini at north trying to figure out what she wants i think one of them would realize that they’re going in different directions and only got back tgt because they made each other feel safe cause what they had was familiar. this could be triggered by ricky mentioning smth abt nini at yac and then nini breaks down and tells him that she dropped out and is at north and doesn’t know where she’s going. and then they can both realize they aren’t good for each other rn and have a less tragic mutual break up.
honestly i really liked the scene of nini taking charge after miss jenn freaked out cause with the character detail of nini giving every person in the cast of productions she’s in a thank you note she just seems really like someone who is suited to lifting others up. this could still be explored at north, maybe she could help lily through her issues that were briefly implied in ep 11 and nini realizes she wants to be a drama teacher and encourage kids to go off book and put themselves into their acting, something she couldn’t have at yac.
okay now ej ,,, so like i said in ricky’s section, more bants between them cause i feel like friendships kinda fell by the wayside due to all the relationships so more friendship !!!! also the scene where ej tells his dad he’s not going to duke shouldn’t have been an ending scene, it should have been fleshed out with his dad pushing back saying how he pulled all these strings to get him in and ej saying he doesn’t wanna go if his own hard work couldn’t get him there. and also more scenes of ej doing av club things !!! and realizing he rlly likes film and wants to do it OMG IT WOULD BE SO COOL IF HE BROKE THE FOURTH WALL AND ASKED THE DOCUMENTARY CREW ABT THE FILM INDUSTRY god i would love that. the only scene we rlly got of ej doing film things was at the quinceañera which made me kinda sad. uhhh also i just wanted to specifically mention how ej got mr mazzara that job at cal tech bc it really showed how he wanted to be there for people not just for gina, who he had a crush on, but for mr mazzara who supported him outside of romance, so i wanna keep that for sure.
gina !!! okay so i mostly liked her arc in this season, the only changes i would make would be to flesh it out a teeny bit (god this hypothetical s2 would have to be like 22 eps at least shdjdjdjfj) anyways besides ashlyn singing home to get gina to stay i think there should be a scene where they actually talk in her room abt how gina feels safer when shes on the run (second chance reference ilysm) hhhh and also a scene of her and carlos actually working out compromises for their choreo cause i liked that bit of development too and fleshing that out would make gina an even better foil for lily, who felt a need to hog the spotlight like gina used to. with gina’s own arc fleshed out her character would feel more whole independently from romance and portwell would be even more rewarding than it is in the current s2. the only thing i would really change abt portwell is that they would kiss !!! in the finale but thats bc im biased.
ashlyn should have gotten a more fleshed out storyline about being insecure about not being a good enough belle or the typical belle. there were some throwaway lines when north did their typical dramatics but the only two real scenes that showed it were when ash talked to big red about it and when she was telling nini she wanted to do a run in “home” bc lily did it. ashlyn should get more screen time where she has to grapple with the reasons she doesn’t feel good enough and big red can still support her but also gina too bc i would like more roommate besties interaction.
kourtney could still date howie, that harry potter shit was cute but there needs to be smth else for kourtney’s arc. idk she’s still into fashion so maybe she could be out here trying to create her own line or smth? this doesn’t have to be resolved in s2 like making a wholeass line takes time and she could work on it into a potential s3. kourtney just didnt get much outside of howie and the stuff at the beginning of the season where she said nini inspired her to be independent and that's why she got a job was just dropped?? so i think that fashion could fill that for her if she’s still dating howie cause like having her whole arc just be the pizza place kinda overlaps w big red’s mini arc abt how he wasn’t settling for hospitality, its what he wants to do with his life.
ik what ur thinking. anna, even if you added more episodes, where would u find the room to add all these plotlines?? well first we cut (most of) the seblos fight, so thats some time saved. honestly most of the time that we r going to gain is going to be from cutting ms jenn’s time. things like ms jenn’s and nini’s car ride would get cut, but mostly all of ms jenn’s romances would get cut down. considering she’s the teacher and isn’t actually a character with an arc how does she have THREE love interests this season?? like all of the weird tension between her and zack can be cut, like just some short scenes of them being competitive can stay. all of the stuff with ricky’s dad can go bye bye we don’t need it. i did like her w mr mazzara so most of that can stay i just didn’t like how he said he would give up cal tech for her, ew no that would be gone.
the MENKIES !!!! this is the last thing im gonna address cause in a perfect world every character would get a long fleshed out arc but then the season would be waaay too long and also im mostly trying to work within material the show gave so this is mostly made up of “realistic” deviations from what actually happened. lol idk what that even means it just makes sense to me. but anyways!! uhhh bro idk i thought them dropping the menkies was funny but it also made the finale really BAD lmao. in this finale, seb is the beast, east still had to deal w the fact that they’re underfunded compared to north but no one is injured, lily is less of a poorly written character and maybe ppl are even rooting for her, and wow i just realized i never actually said what role i think nini should have in north’s show. OOH she could be student director instead of lily cause lily both being in the play while also directing was weird considering omg i just checked and according to her wiki page shes a FRESHMAN?? and they let her be student director? lol hell nah. okay so with all that in mind ,,, the menkies should have been the season cliffhanger instead of portwell. east and north should both be nominated, both schools perform at the menkies, and then the award winner is about to be announced and THATS when it cuts to natalie and the end of the season.
one, this actually gives more tension for a summer s3 as we would be waiting to see the consequences of whichever school won. also i bet people would be wondering if nini’s gonna be transferring back to east or staying at north. people would also prob wonder if ej would be getting the scholarship if east won and what that would mean for his interest in film.

a/n: hi anon! wow, this one turned highly personal really fast. so, this turned into a combination of your original request and how stray kids would react just knowing that you have depression/anxiety. i think how they’d care for and support you is a large part of their reactions to finding out, if that makes sense. i hope this brings you comfort~

as with most things, chan would be very understanding
he’d just want you to feel and function the best you could
and not have to worry about whether you’re going to be able to make it through a day
he’d noticed when you first started dating that you occasionally withdrew into yourself
and needed time alone
chan didn’t really think anything of it
bc he also kinda just turns into a hermit and hides to reset and recuperate
but when you’d told him that you take meds for anxiety and depression
his sneaking suspicion that you’d been struggling with something was confirmed
it all made sense!
chan would be immediately and absolutely on board to support you
he wasn’t gonna let those nasty depression demons get the better of his y/n

when you could stand it, he’d be really cute and cuddly to try to make you feel better
and he’d also research everything about the meds
on the days that you just needed to be left alone, he’d be worried
bc he wouldn’t want you to be lonely or to need him and for him to not be there immediately for you
but sometimes even just the presence of another person is exhausting
even if it’s your partner
he’d always come back with flowers or your favorite kind of pie or curry or something else delicious or beautiful
all he wants is for you to feel like you can face the world

minho would be matter of fact and accepting about the whole thing
he wouldn’t be fussed
and would just accept that sometimes you’d be less than cheerful
and that it has nothing to do with him or his actions
while he wouldn’t necessarily understand the ins and outs of depression and/or anxiety,
he would still be totally committed to supporting you
he’d be glad that you have meds
because it’s hard for him to see you so down and feeling so blank
he just wants you to be okay
he’ll ask if you’re okay and what he can do
sometimes he just has to ask you a few times
just to be sure
for his own peace of mind
if any family, friends, coworkers, anyone gave you shit about your depression and anxiety
minho would be the kind of person to just:

bc it helps you be able to function
but that doesn’t stop him from trying his best to make you feel energized and focused through other means!
you have a weekly picnic date, even after dating for two years
it’s the sweetest thing ever

it was the first time you slept over at his place

changbin had thought it would be nice if he got your things for you in the morning

when he'd come into the bedroom, changbin looked a little nervous?
bc he wasn’t quite sure how to ask you what meds you were taking
he wasn’t really worried or anything
he just wanted to support you with absolutely no judgement because meds aren’t a bad thing~
he was so understanding and immediately, like chan, researched everything he could about helping someone with anxiety and depression
and then made you breakfast bc that’s wonderful anytime at all
on the days you felt like you couldn’t get out of bed
(or simply couldn’t whether you wanted to or not)
changbin would be there
if you could stay in bed the whole day, then he’d stay with you
if you had to get up and actually do things, he’d do his best to help you
he’d make you food, help you shower, even pick out clothes for you so that you wouldn’t have to think
he’d understand that sometimes you need a bit of a prod to do things
changbin would definitely try his best to make those reminders as caring and lighthearted as possible
after all, you don’t exactly have control over when lack of motivation strikes
changbin would understand and know a lot of the feelings you have
and be able to empathize based on his own experiences
really, he would just continue to love you ♡
hwang hyunjin
hyunjin, oh sweet hyunjin
he’d be so understanding
and would feel really sorry for you
but not in a weird, pitying way
just sad that your brain had decided to betray you in such a way

he knows all too well the feelings of hopelessness you sometimes feel
he’d be glad that you have meds, actually
and would even remind you when you have therapy (if you do)
he’d probably send you random “when you have anxiety/depression” memes
you’ve busted out laughing at inopportune times more than once from said memes
when you’re in a depressive episode, hyunjin would be like a cat
just curled up with you as much as possible
if you can’t stand to have someone near you
then, he’d still text you cheesy stuff like those ridiculous valentine’s day pickup lines that are, in fact, funny at any time of the year
oh and don’t forget about the utterly sincere, will-make-you-cry texts, love letters, post-it notes, notes written in blueberries on the counter, and even signs he’d write for you
one day, you’d even opened a lunch he’d made you to find a little note rolled up around your fork:
“hi hello yes you, the pretty one reading this! i love youuuuuu~ have a wonderful day, darling
p.s. remember to take your meds <3”
hyunjin’s gentle nature would be just what you needed
to support you
to love you
to care for you, not only emotionally but also physically

grounded and calm with deep roots, but able to bend with whatever wind your depression/anxiety decided to gust through your lives

definitely not the response you’d been expecting
but it was perfect nonetheless
you spent an afternoon together just talking about how your anxiety and depression manifested
what helped you to cope

which meds you took and if there was anything jisung should be particularly aware of
he’d be really interested in just how your depression and anxiety manifest
bc in order to care for you and help
he wants to know what bit of your brain chemistry has decided to fuck shit up
(sometimes jisung feels like he needs to fuck shit up, too. but really? come oooon y/n’s brain)
he’d leave you notes reminding you to do things when your ability to focus goes completely out the window
you’d wake up to find one of those large sheets of poster paper taped to the ceiling above your bed, saying:
“i love you, even if you have depression/anxiety that makes you forget to do the dishes. again. you’re still my little gremlin <3”
jisung would give you any and all resources he has to help you
he’d probably even write songs for you
there’d probably a mixtape out there somewhere of him screaming at your depression and anxiety
telling them to leave you the fuck alone
bc you’re too wonderful to have to deal with that shit
your weekends together would be spent in the bedroom
under the covers
giggling your asses off
and cuddling
bc it’s dangerous outside the blanket ( ｀^´ )

felix would be so chill about it
you’d tell him and he’d just be like
“okay! so what kinds of toppings did you want me to put on this pizza again?”
you’d just kinda blink at him
you’d been worrying about what he’d say
and if he’d leave you or something

as if lee felix would ever leave you,,,,,,
it was a relief not to worry about that
felix would still bundle you up in the biggest hugs ever
and smile his sunshine-filled smile at you
honestly, that alone should be enough to cure depression
but, unfortunately, it’s not

but with felix’s smile and meds, you’re feeling much better, thank you
felix would try to make life brighter for you after finding out
he’d understand that sometimes you want to do things but just can’t
there’s no rhyme nor reason to it
and it wouldn’t matter to him
bc he’d still get to spend time with you, even if it just meant sitting on the couch watching movies
felix would know that sometimes he would just have to make decisions for you
not in a controlling way
but just because your anxiety over making decisions and following through with things would get the better of you
he’d make sure you drink water and eat lots of yummy food
his deep voice is the most calming thing oh my god
and whenever you have an anxiety/panic attack
felix would immediately catch you up in his arms and slow dance with you through the entire episode
even if you’re barely able to stand, he’d hold you up and support you
just so, at an incredibly scary time, you’d have the most loving arms around you

you were having a panic attack when seungmin came over one time
and you’d just kinda slumped against the wall as soon as he’d come in the door
aaaand you’d had to explain what was going on
but seungmin had just helped you breathe deeply
and eventually you’d calmed down to the point that you felt like
well, like a limp noodle (＠_＠)
you know that feeling when your body is so exhausted from having a panic attack
that you can’t exactly do much else?

so, he would be glad that you have meds for your depression/anxiety
like jisung, seungmin would want to have A Stern Conversation with your depression/anxiety
bc he’s tired of its shit ψ(｀-´ )ψ
not because he can’t deal with it or you

no one should have to feel like there’s no joy left in the world, irrational thinking rules their brain, and like they’re trapped in a cycle of dysfunction, no matter how hard they try
bc sometimes just trying isn’t enough

he’d come up with all sorts of things he could do for you to help ease your anxiety
he’d write down all your triggers just so he’d know what avoid

when he found out that you have trouble deciding on food at restaurants
he’d immediately printed out the menus to all the restaurants you loved
just so you could take your time deciding at home
and not feel overwhelmed
