THE WOLF ON FIRE
There are times when I think I have lost it all
Between the exhaustion and the pills
And the constant grind of other people's agony
I think all my emotions are gone
But then the surface cracks
And like lava, the rage
Seeps up through the fissures
From the very core of me
This is my essence, and it is
Fury
I have learnt to be polite and well behaved
To 'regulate my emotions'
Dress nice and sit quiet and to all appearances
Pass for human
But the truth of me has not changed
I am still a wolf
With my eyes on fire
And blood on my teeth
And one day you will be so surprised
When my chest cracks open and the wolf
Breaks free from my sinews and ribs
And sinks my teeth into your throat
Until my jaws snap shut.

FOUND family??? you think i just found them like this??? babes this is FORGED family. Me & the bros were scrap metal in a junkyard (very valuable, very sharp, very dangerous, uncared for) and we GOT IN THE FUCKING FIRE TOGETHER. WE did this. we said I AM NOT LEAVING YOU and melted into each other for better or for worse (it’s for better) and we are A FUNCTIONAL UNIT now. DO NOT SEPARATE. BATTERIES FUCKING INCLUDED. FOUND family my ass, we built this non-nuclear family unit from the ground up, don’t devalue this!!! it was is and will be a labour of love!!!

if yall ever want like serious advice from me about how to solve burnout as a creative it's like...
literally ignore it. stop pushing. go do something else, enjoy your life, fill it with other things, do what brings you joy in the moment if you can.
go to the gym, take a walk to touch grass and look at dogs and smell flowers, cook dinner, watch tv with your friends, talk about your feelings as needed with ppl you trust, take a drive and blast your music, do the chores you need to do, the job hunting slog you need to do, read books that aren't for research, stop cordoning off your brain for The Craft or The Draft or whatever the fuck
forget about the project, stop thinking about it for as long as it takes to be excited again.

Honestly? My main piece of advice for writing well-rounded characters is to make them a little bit lame. No real living person is 100% cool and suave 100% of the time. Everyone's a little awkward sometimes, or gets too excited about something goofy, or has a silly fear, or laughs about stupid things. Being a bit of a loser is an incurable part of the human condition. Utilize that in your writing.
