I want to know how Hozier's brain works. Like, how do you come up with a metaphor for gluttony that's also about the destruction of the planet and the disposability of young people within the war industry??? AND it's also a bop??? Sir???

Man I just really like solomon as a character
Like his whole vibe is so good. He's this immortal guy, an almost all powerful sorcerer. He has pacts with some of the most powerful demons in all the devildom. He's sworn himself to protecting the human world.
He cannot cook for the life of him. He constantly refutes the title of solomon the wise, despite having every reason to lean into it and brag a bit.
When MC first comes to the devildom, he tells them that he'll help look after them, or try and be a comforting face, the sole human in a world of demons that want to eat them. I can imagine that the self proclaimed protector of humanity isn't all too happy with an ordinary human being dragged against their will into an exchange program. But he does what he can from the sidelines to protect MC, even as the brothers tell them that he's untrustworthy, always up to something.
And then MCs power grows. Characters time and time again say that MCs raw abilities rival Solomons, even without the training needed to control them.
And what does he do?
He takes MC under his wing. Trains them the best he can. Goes out of his way to help them become a full fledged sorcerer even when the society hates him.
He just seems so... happy? To finally have another human in his life. Someone on his skillset, who's not a demon, not an angel. Someone to remind him of his humanity even as he helps them lean further away from theirs.
Hes not jealous of their power. It might even be reliving to not be the most powerful human anymore.
And he's content to sit on the sidelines and let the brothers take up most of your time.
I just..... love him so much

i dont watch any of the media that hes in, but whenever i see a clip of brennan lee mulligan reciting a monologue or descending into madness or both-
i just want to let him know that no one can do it like him... there is something in his brain that just prints out these monologues in real time with perfectly orchestrated lines and i want to learn how he does it

sorry but I will never get over George’s class fixation, it’s so fascinating to me
referring to George as “posh” is not Wrong, but it’s also not Right
you know who’s TRULY posh? Phoebe Waller-Bridge (rich AND aristocracy). But George comes across as more poncy bc he needs you to be Aware of his class aspirations (and bc he’s a Tory)

Hi! You seem to know a lot about Worm and I haven't read it in too long. You posted a thing I liked about Siberian and it reminded me of a question I had that I may's well ask you.
If I remember correctly, in the interlude where Siberian tries to recruit Bitch, they can communicate, right? Like, isn't there something in there about Siberian having body language stuff going on so that is as easy as talking to a dog? Do you know why that is? It makes sense at the time and then we find out Siberian is a projection and suddenly I'm not sure why Manson should have any idea how to do that.
Honestly? No idea. Two theories off the top of my head, which I think would have some thematic resonance-
He really was following her for weeks, observing her interactions, mannerisms and body language, and as one of the world's foremost experts on parahumans and how powers can modify the host he came up with an educated guess about how to best conduct himself with her. Thematically resonant because it means that the first interaction Bitch has in the entire book that feels natural to her, is in fact the result of weeks of premediated observation and preparation for the encounter, coming from someone whose entire pitch is a life free of bullshitters.
Two, for reasons completely unrelated to Bitch, Manton actively cultivated the "natural predator" mannerisms as part of his overall commitment to the bit, and his alignment with Bitch's preferred mode of engagement is some combination of an accident and why he thought they'd get along in the first place. Also thematically relevant because a major element of Bitch's POV in this chapter is her confusion and uncertainty about... basically everything. Her own motivations, her level of loyalty to her teammates, how her own power works, who she should trust. The way she lives her life isn't as much of a considered lifestyle choice as what she ultimately winds up with in Gimel; it's just who she is, and what she's dealing with. But it's what Siberian actively wants to be and has to actively cultivate- even if he's authentically after it, it would rankle Bitch for sure to know how much he as to work at being "free" when, again, the pitch is a life where you don't have to pay attention to expectations or roles.
Just my best guesses, though. It's also possible his vial modified his psyche in the same way it did hers. Who knows

literally yeon said that even the smallest paper cuts on rang hurt him worse than any sword ever could and i believe him and i also think that being forced to mortally wound rang killed him a little bit inside, esp after already doing the same to his first love, but he dealt with all that by telling rang he's being a big baby and i find that all so fascinating,,,

Oh do NOT get me going on this.
Idc if it’s not canon I want an au of Juniper surviving Rising Phoenix and being a shattered shell of his former self. Him struggling with his own identity, a kind of imposter syndrome and self image issues. His ego is beyond repair, he’s left in a state of constant mental agony of not knowing if he’s himself or just playing the role of John Juniper the actor. I want him to reach rock bottom so I can hand him a pickaxe and a drill. I want him to keep going until he’s healed.
I don’t hate the man, quite the opposite. He plays the role of antagonist very well (kudos to his VA Wil Wheaton, 11/10 job), but what is an actor without an audience or a spotlight? What does he have outside of the gratification he gets from performing?
I could go on but I plan on writing or drawing or doing something with this idea so I want to be able to properly plan it out first
