The Fella Part 9 (James Maguire X Quinn!Reader)
Main Masterlist
The Fella Masterlist
Request Something!
Summary: The girls have been waiting for months to see Take That in Belfast. When a polar bear is on the loose and Mary forbids them from going, they have to take matters into their own hands.
A/N: only took a million years but i finally wrote a new part lol BIG thanks to @crumpets-are-better-with-jam for writing out the episode’s script for me, without them I probably would’ve never found the time to be able to write this. Also the word g*psy is censored and used as little as possible because it’s considered a slur but some say that if you say it with the right context it’s ok, but i don’t wanna take any chances, you know?
***
The weekends were always the best part of the week for Y/n. No school or work, no obligations except for church on Sunday, and being able to sleep in late. Y/n wished to be an adult, so her life could be like this every day.
But this was going to be the weekend of all weekends. Months ago, the girls and James scrimped and saved every coin and bill and were able to buy concert tickets to see Take That in Belfast. And today was the day of the concert. The girls sat all squished together on the couch, watching said band on the TV, with James perched on the arm of the sofa, subtly clinging to Y/n. Their relationship was still a secret somehow, today marking their third month together. They were honestly surprised nobody noticed how their affection was more than friendly.
“God Almighty.” Grandpa Joe spoke in horror, glaring at the screen. “I don’t know what the world is coming to. Bloody perverts.”
“You’re overreacting, Da,” Mary said from the kitchen. Joe scoffed in disbelief.
“Overreacting? That lad’s got no trousers on, for Christ’s sake.” Michelle grinned at the detail that had been pointed out.
“He’s wearing too much still, if I’ve anything to say about it.” She muttered to the girls, who giggled apart from James and Clare.
“Why do they keep touching themselves?” Grandpa Joe asked the telly, as if it would provide any answers.
“‘Cause they’re artists, Granda,” Erin said, but he just grumbled.
“Dirty English bastards is what they are.” He turned to look at James. “No offense, son.” Although he didn’t really sound like he cared whether or not he had offended the boy. Y/n patted James’ thigh in comfort as the scene on the TV changed from the girls’ beloved boy band to a news anchor.
“Come on, girls. Time to hit the road here.” Gerry announced as he came in. He gestured at James. “Have they roped you into going as well, son?” Y/n laughed, leaning against James to look at her father.
“Hardly. He’s practically riding Gary Barlow. Aren’t ya, Jamie?” He rolled his eyes at the statement, as if they had had this kind of conversation a hundred times.
“I’m not! I just respect him as a songwriter, that’s all.” Michelle rolled her eyes at him, as if she had also had this kind of conversation a hundred times.
“Aye, dead on, James, so you do.”
“Will we need our passports, Gerry?” Orla asked, giving her lungs a break from blowing on her mother’s spray tan.
“For Belfast? I don’t think so, Love.”
“Belfast?” Joe asked, but was ignored.
“Are we not a bit early, Daddy?” Erin asked, checking the time on the wall.
“It’s a two-hour drive with traffic, love.”
“This thing’s in Belfast?” Sick of not being acknowledged, Grandpa Joe stood from his favorite chair to stand with the girls and Gerry.
“Da, it’s eight hours till the doors open,” Y/n said, almost laughing at her father’s sense of urgency.
“I know. We’re cutting it fine.” He seemed completely serious about the matter, which just made Y/n want to laugh more.
“Belfast?” Joe said again, now effectively catching the room’s attention. “Sure, why didn’t you just sell the wains into white slavery and be done with it?”
“Gerry will be with them, Da.” Mary tried to reason, but that just seemed to set him off even more.
“Well, that’s worse. Sure, they hate his kind there.”
“My kind?” Gerry asked, not knowing what Joe could possibly be talking about.
“Pricks.” Y/n laughed, shrinking in her seat when Gerry whipped around to look at his daughter in offense. “Sorry, Daddy.”
“That is enough!” Mary finalized, still working in the kitchen. “They’re going to the concert, Da, and that’s the end of the matter.”
The news switched to another topic again. Something about how a polar bear escaped from Belfast Zoo. Hearing the name, Y/n started to worry.
“Now, will you see sense?” Grandpa Joe asked his daughter, pointing at the TV. Erin snorted.
“Aye, Granda, ‘cause an escaped polar bear’s gonna track us down and kill us. As if Mammy’s bothered by that.” There was a beat of silence, and suddenly, all the girls were panicked.
“Wise up, Mammy!” Y/n squealed frantically, shooting up from her seat on the couch to get a good look at her mother. “As if a polar bear’s gonna rock up a Take That concert!”
“He wouldn’t get a ticket for a start,” Orla added. “They sold out months ago.”
“You’d be surprised, girls,” Mary said.
“The concert’s nowhere near the zoo.” Gerry tried to reason. As usual, Joe countered him.
“But he’s not in the zoo anymore, is he, Simple Simon? He’s sauntering about Belfast without a care in the world!”
“Aye, keep up, Gerry,” Sarah said, blowing on the wet tan that coated her fingers.
“What I’m saying is that it would be quite a lot of ground for him to cover.”
“They’re quick on their feet when they wanna be, love,” Mary said. Y/n sped to her father, grabbing him by the shoulders to make him face her.
“Daddy, please, don’t listen to her.” She pleaded. “We should go now so we’re not late. Please, Da!” Gerry put his hands on his daughter’s wrists, rubbing his thumbs over the joints while giving her a sympathetic look.
“Oh, love, I’m sorry, but I’d rather keep my head.”
“Come on, Mary.” Michelle pleaded with the girl’s mother. “If you don’t let Y/n and Erin go, then our ma’s won’t let us go.”
“Well, neither they should, and I’ll be ringing them to say as much.” The teens looked at Mary in despair as she went to the phone, likely to ring everyone’s mothers. While dialing, Mary looked back to the living room. “Look, girls, I know how much you were looking forward to seeing This and That.”
“Take That.” Erin corrected.
“But there’ll be other concerts.” Y/n laughed humorlessly, resting her head on her father’s shoulder momentarily before letting go of him completely.
“No, there won’t.” She felt hysterical. She couldn’t believe this was happening to her. Months of looking forward to this concert just to be banned by her mother because of a polar bear. Only something like this would happen to her. “The fact that this one’s happening is a miracle ‘cause no one good comes here ‘cause we all keep killing each other!” James shifted on the arm of the couch to make room for Y/n to sit next to him. He rubbed her back as she leaned against him for support, devastated.
“And now we’re overrun with polar bears.” Sarah sighed, pulling out a cig.
Frustrated, Y/n stormed up to her room, the girls and James close behind. They had found her face down on her bed, screaming into a pillow. James sat beside her, pulling the pillow out of her grasp before she could suffocate herself. While everyone settled in Y/n’s room, she rested her head on James’ thigh. Her anger and sadness were slowly washing away from James rubbing her back.
“This is so fucking unfair.” She muttered.
“I know,” James responded, brushing hair out of her face.
“Well, I dunno about you lot, but I’m not letting that fat furry fuck ruin the biggest day of my life,” Michelle announced harshly, pacing the floor.
“What can we do?” Erin asked, lying across her sister’s legs.
“Right, listen, girls.” Michelle drew their attention. They hoped that she had come up with a plan to save the day, but were quickly let down. “I’ve never told anyone this before, but… sometimes, when Robbie’s being interviewed, it’s like he’s sending me messages through the TV. You know, like telepathically or whatever, It’s like he’s saying…” She sighed, clearly in a dreamy daze. “We’re meant to be together.”
Everyone stared at her.
“Aye, maybe don’t tell that to anyone again, Michelle,” Erin said. “Ever.”
“I think she might be more cracked than Orla,” Y/n muttered to James, who snorted.
“What?” Orla looked at Y/n after hearing her name.
“Nothing, love.”
“Look, this is too important,” Michelle said. “I’m going to that concert. I’m not afraid of a fucking polar bear!” Everyone enthusiastically agreed. They shouldn’t pay mind to a random bear or what their parents have to say about anything. Nothing would stop the girls and James from seeing Take That.
“I’ll kill it with me own two hands, if I have to.” Orla declared.
“Bring it on!” Erin egged on.
“Okay. We seem to have gone down a weird road here, people. I think we just got a bit confused.” Ever the realist and anxiety-riddled girl, Clare tried stopping her friends from the odd discussion. “We don’t actually have to fight a polar bear, and if we did, I wouldn’t fancy our chances because, well, they’re massive.” Orla looked around, confused.
“But there’s six of us.”
“Aye, I think we’d have a real chance,” Y/n said, albeit slightly sarcastically.
“The point is, the polar bear’s not the one stopping us from going to the concert. It’s our mothers, and we’ll never get them to change their minds.” Y/n gasped, sitting up suddenly, seeming to have an idea.
“So we fight Mammy.”
“No, definitely not.” James shot down the idea immediately and welcomed his once again pouty girlfriend to rest in his lap. Michelle leaned toward the group like she was gonna tell them a secret.
“We’re not gonna try and change their minds.” She smirked, and everyone became slightly fearful because Michelle always had less than bright ideas that she’d have them execute. “We’re gonna do something else.”
“What?” James asked.
***
“I’m still trying to figure out whether or not this is a good idea,” Y/n muttered to James, who she clung to while sitting on his lap. Michelle had somehow convinced everyone to sneak away and get on a bus to Belfast. The group sat in the back of the bus to avoid anyone who may be suspicious of six teenagers traveling by themselves. There wasn’t enough seating for all six of them to sit together, so everyone squished together, and Y/n sat on James’ lap. No one said anything about it besides the comment from Michelle about how James must be giddy to be so close to a girl. He told her to fuck off.
“Same here.” He sighed, hands gripping her closer as the bus crossed a few bumps on the road.
“We’re gonna get caught; I just know it,” Clare said anxiously to the group.
“We’re not gonna get caught, Clare, because as far as our ma’s are concerned, me, you, and James are ’round Erin’s, and Erin, Y/n, and Orla are ’round mine,” Michelle explained, trying to calm Clare down.
“But we’re not ’round yours, Michelle,” Orla responded, confused. “We’re on the bus to Belfast.”
“Christ.” Y/n rolled her eyes, having heard her cousin say this multiple times since they left the house.
“I cannot explain it to her again. I’m gonna scream.” Michelle looked away from Orla, probably because she would strangle her if she had to deal with the confusion for another second.
“What’s in the suitcase, Michelle?” James asked, staring at the case his cousin had set on the remaining seat near the group. Y/n could’ve sat there, but Michelle wanted a close eye on whatever was in the suitcase without holding it in case they got caught. Everyone stared, curiously waiting for an answer. There was a beat of silence.
“Vodka.” You brought an entire suitcase full of vodka?” Erin asked incredulously.
“Jesus, Michelle, you’ve got a problem,” Y/n added.
“No. There’s mixers as well. I’m not a savage.” Michelle took a second to think, looking down at the case. “You can mix vodka with cider, right?”
“God, I am boiling.” Clare sighed, fanning her face.
“Gee, I wonder why, Clare.” Y/n laughed, looking at her friend who was completely bundled in jackets and scarves.
“What are you wearing?” Erin asked.
“Yeah, you look like a fucking Provo.”
“I don’t want anyone recognizing me, okay?” The bus paused its venture, opening the doors for people to come in and out.
“No one’s gonna recognize you, Clare.” Michelle chastised.
“Clare Devlin, is that you?” Panic ran through everyone. The voice sounded very familiar and fear-inducing. The girls looked towards the front. Sister Michael was moving past the seats and right for them.
“Jesus Christ.” Clare squeaked, trying to hide in her mountain of clothes. Erin leaned into her.
“Relax, Clare.” She said. “She has no authority over us at the weekend. She has no right to question us, and if she tries to, I’ll tell her as much.”
“Aye, I’d like to see you try, Erin.” Y/n hissed to her sister before Sister Michael reached the group.
“Morning, girls.” She said.
“Morning, Sister Michael.” Everyone said in unison.
“What takes you to Belfast?” There was a heavy pause. The girls were silently trying to decide who would speak and what they would say. Erin volunteered herself, speaking quietly from nervousness.
“I’m not really sure that’s-”
“Speak up.” Sister Michael interrupted her. Erin gulped.
“I’m not really sure that that’s any of your business…” Sister Michael stared blankly at her. Everyone waited for her to jump and murder Erin for saying such a thing. Soon, she found words.
“I’m going to assume that was an ill-judged attempt at humor, Miss Quinn.”
“Yes,” Erin whispered, sinking into her seat. Y/n silently prayed that the bus would start moving so Sister Michael would be forced to leave and find a seat somewhere. But God never seemed too kind to the girls.
“Now, answer the question.”
“... We’re going to the museum.” Erin devised a good lie; the girls just hoped they could keep up with the inevitable follow-up questions.
“Which museum?”
“Ulster Museum,” Clare answered.
“What for?”
“A project,” James responded.
“A history project.” Y/n amended. Sister Michael looked at the two. It seemed like she was about to ask why Y/n was in James’ lap, but she decided against it, not wanting to go through the trouble.
“What about?”
“Ulster,” Erin answered once again. Sister Michael gave an unconvinced hum and turned around to find a place to sit. Everyone sighed in relief as the bus started to move again.
“A history project,” Clare said in disbelief. “This web of lies we’re spinning is getting out of control now, girls.” Y/n put a hand on her friend’s shoulder to take her attention.
“If it makes you feel any better, Clare, I actually have a history project due soon.”
“I thought we finished that,” James said quietly to her. She turned to him.
“Yeah, but now I’ve gotta put it all together.”
“It’s grand, Clare,” Michelle said, rolling her eyes at Clare’s constant anxiousness. “I think she bought it.”
“Of course, she didn’t buy it. She’s onto us, I’m telling you. Oh God, I’m sweltering here.”
“Then take it off,” Erin said.
“I can’t take it off; I’ve nothing underneath it.” Everyone paused, looking at her confused.
“What, not even a bra?” Erin asked.
“Jesus, Clare, you’ve no bra on?” Michelle asked incredulously.
“I haven’t got a bra on,” Orla commented.
“Aye, me neither,” Y/n said.
“What?” James practically choked. Suddenly aware of his girlfriend’s body and this new information, he moved his hands down to sit at her hips. Y/n shrugged.
“They dig.”
“What’s she doing now?” Clare asked, and everyone looked at Sister Michael, who sat a few rows ahead of them. She was reading a book, laughing every now and then.
“Reading her book,” James answered, as if they all couldn’t see it. She suddenly turned to the woman in the seat next to her. She had a look of disgust while the woman ate a sandwich. “Now she’s looking at the woman beside her.” Sister Michael stood from her seat. “Now she’s getting up.” She moved towards the back of the bus, closing in on the girls. “Now she’s coming this way.” Soon enough, Sister Michael stood before the group, staring at them. “Now she’s standing right in front of us.”
“What’s he doing?” Sister Michael asked, looking weirdly at James.
“Now she’s-” James’ words were halted by Y/n putting a finger to his lips.
“Stop narrating, Jamie.”
“I want to sit here.” Sister Michael said with finality, pointing to where Michelle’s suitcase sat. Michelle started to panic.
“What? Why?”
“Well, you’re just such wonderful company, girls, what with your stimulating conversation and razor-sharp wit.” Everyone knew she was being sarcastic. Except for Erin.
“Really?” She asked, seemingly flattered. Sister Michael rolled her eyes.
“No, not really. The woman next to me is eating an egg and onion sandwich, and the smell is enough to turn an Orange March.” The girls cringed at the description. Sister Michael grabbed the suitcase, trying to move it. But she was evidently struggling. “Christ, but this is heavy.”
“Sister, no, let me,” Michelle said, leaning over to grab the case.
“What do you have in here, girls?”
“It’s not ours!” Clare quickly responded with a shriek. Everyone glared at her lie.
“Not yours?”
“We have never seen it before in our lives, have we, girls?” It was better to just agree, so that’s what the girls did. They nodded, giving different mutters of confirmation.
Sister Michael turned to look at everyone else on the bus.
“Excuse me, everyone. Can I have your attention, please?” She raised her voice to get everyone to listen. Confused, the passengers looked at her while she pointed to Michelle’s suitcase. “Does anyone own this red suitcase?” No one claimed it. “Now, let me be clear. No one can claim this bag, is that correct?” Everyone confirmed her question. She looked down at the suitcase. “I think we have a Code Red on our hands. Driver, pull over!”
***
The girls were definitely fucked. Everyone had to evacuate the bus while they waited for the military to come and extract the suitcase. Now, a crowd watched as a military robot examined the case.
“Jesus Christ!” Clare squeaked in a panic.
“Aye, this isn’t great,” Erin said, watching the commotion. Michelle shrugged.
“It’s not that big a deal.”
“They’re about to blow up an entire suitcase of vodka, Michelle.”
As Michelle and Erin quietly argued, Y/n leaned into James’ ear.
“And here I thought Clare’s paranoia would be our biggest problem.” James rested his head on Y/n’s, eyeing the situation in front of him in disbelief.
“Why is this place so mental?” He asked. Michelle scoffed.
“That’s enough, James. You have serious fucking anger management issues. Do you know that?” Before anyone could give a rebuttal, there was an explosion. The robot had successfully eliminated the threat in the red suitcase, which was the girls’ ticket to a good time.
There were lots of talks among the soldiers over the radio. The girls silently celebrated when one said they could pack everything up. Soon enough, they’d be back on the way to Belfast.
“Powerful smell of vodka down here, over.” The girls froze in their places as they heard the soldier over the radio. God really did seem to have it out for the teens.
“Vodka, did he say?” Sister Michael asked, slowly turning to her students. “Interesting.” The girls gave her nervous smiles. Suddenly, Y/n pointed over Sister Michael’s shoulder.
“Oh my God, Sister! What’s over there?!” Sister Michael whipped around, and Y/n made a break for it. All of her friends followed after her.
They ran like hell, not knowing where they were going. After a while of wandering around, they slowed to a walk down a dirt road, all trying to catch their breath. The girls debated whether or not they could reach Belfast on foot, especially with that polar bear on the loose. But the conversation dwindled as some men came into view on the side of the road.
“Is it just me, or is that g*psy an absolute ride?”
“As usual, I think it’s just you, Michelle,” Y/n said, groaning at her sore legs.
“Michelle, you cannot say that.” Erin scolded.
“What?”
“They’re called ‘travelers now. Y’can’t say ‘g*psy’ anymore. It’s insulting.”
“Okay, but you just said it, Erin.” Y/n pointed out. Michelle and Erin continued arguing over the correct word to use for the men. It continued for a while, and only stopped when they had gotten closer to the men.
“Howya, girls.” One of them said, with a bit of a slurred speech. The girls politely greeted him and continued walking. They got a few feet past them when the one who greeted them started calling after them. “Hey, hold on.”
“What does he want?” Clare asked in a panic.
“I don’t know,” Erin replied, just as nervous.
“I’m talking to you!” The man shouted. The girls ignored him, but he kept walking after them. “Hey, are you deaf or what?”
“Just keep going.” Y/n urged her friends, grabbing James’ hand to yank him along while she pushed her tired body to go faster. The teens started walking more quickly, and soon enough, the shouting man and his friends were all tailing after them.
“Get back here!”
“Faster. Walk faster.”
“Am I gonna have to come after you, am I?”
“Jesus Christ, he’s following us,” James muttered, now being the one to pull Y/n further.
“Run!” Y/n yelped, breaking into a sprint and out of James’ grip because the sudden change in pace had caught him off guard. Everyone ran after her, the teens to catch up with Y/n and the travelers to catch up with the teens. The girls were terrified, except for Orla, of course, who could always find the fun in a fucked up situation.
“Piss off!” Erin went to the edge of the dirt road and came back to the strange men waving a giant stick around. They backed up in alarm, and the girls stopped to stand behind Erin.
Except for Y/n, who was still running like hell. James yelled for her, but she couldn’t hear him over the thumping of her feet and heart. She didn’t even notice that her friends had all been left in the dust behind her.
“Jesus fuck!” Y/n screeched when she was grabbed suddenly by the shoulders and yanked back into someone’s chest. The person who caught her breathed heavily, slightly using her as a crutch. Y/n immediately recognized the whines and groans of exhaustion and smacked the man in the arm. “Scared the fuck out of me, James.”
“I know, ‘m sorry.” James brought her closer to him, back pressed against his chest as he rubbed her arms up and down to comfort her. “Can’t run off like that, love. Could’ve lost you.”
“Sorry.” She apologized sheepishly, and James kissed her head to show she shouldn’t be. When the couple regained strength, they turned around and started walking back to the group that was currently arguing with the strange couple of men when they abruptly ran to the side of the dirt road. A van sped past them as if they weren’t even there, honking the horn and stopping in front of the stand-off of travelers and teenage girls. Y/n and James hesitantly watched, not knowing what was happening.
Soon, Erin stuck her head out from behind the van so her sister was in her view. She waved her over frantically.
“Y/n, come on!” Erin then disappeared, likely into the strange van. Knowing everyone else was probably in there, and not wanting to be left stranded, Y/n broke out into another sprint, leaving James in the dust once again.
“Not again.” He mumbled.
***
When Y/n had snuck away from her family and hopped on a bus to Belfast with her friends, she obviously didn’t expect the bus plan to go to shit, and she and her buddies would be riding around in someone’s van. Yet here she was, jostling around in the back, surrounded by half-assed Take That shirts. Erin was trying to converse with the driver; Rita was apparently her name. Meanwhile, Michelle hogged a cardboard cut-out of Robbie Williams, and Clare and Orla were sifting through all the different merchandise.
“Robie?” Clare said to herself as she held up one of the shirts to look at before frantically digging through the rest of the boxes. In the driver’s seat, Rita seemed to have some type of drunken meltdown. Clare turned to Y/n, panicked like always. “Y/n, what are we gonna do?”
“Pray.”
“She’s spelt ‘Robbie’ wrong on every single t-shirt.”
“Huh?”
“How are we gonna break it to her?” Y/n snorted. That was not what she expected her dear friend to be worried about.
“Clare, we’re being driven around by some crazy tipsy woman, and I bet she doesn’t even know which direction Belfast is in. And yet you’re worried about a spelling mistake?”
“I find it disturbing.”
“I find your priorities disturbing.” Rita continued talking in her drunken, weepy state, leading to another discussion between Erin and Michelle about the correct label to use for the intimidating men they had run into.
But everything was cut short by the van ramming into something, causing everyone to jerk forward. There was a moment of silence as everyone tried to figure out what had just happened.
“Jesus Christ.” Michelle groaned, rubbing her head as she sat up.
“What was that?” Erin asked no one in particular.
“Did we hit something?”
Orla opened the sliding door of the van and stuck her head out. Everyone heard a gasp of both surprise and delight.
“Oh my God, it’s the polar bear!” The sentence made everyone, excluding Rita, who smoked her cigarette in the driver’s seat, jump out of the van and surround the body.
“Orla, this is not a bloody polar bear.” Y/n sneered, looking down at the dead sheep that lay before her feet. Everyone slowly looked over at her.
“You’re soundin’ like James,” Michelle said in slight disgust.
“Shut up.”
“Get it shifted, girls!” Rita commanded from the van, taking another drag. Reluctantly, the girls grabbed the sheep carcass and tried carrying it to the side of the road to clear their path. There was a lot more struggling than they intended.
“Why’s it so heavy?” Erin said with a strained voice. “Aren’t they meant to be ninety percent wool?”
“Just put your back into it. The sooner this is done, the sooner we’re back in the van and on our way to see Robbie.”
“Shut it about Robbie, Michelle!” Y/n groaned, trying to pull the sheep. There was much more arguing, and after a very short while, the girls decided they were officially over this task.
“Fuck this!” Michelle shouted. “Let’s just make James do it, the lazy bastard!” Everyone dropped the sheep on the ground and waited for James to do all the work.
But he never did. It was just the girls on an empty road with a dead sheep and a crazy woman.
“Wh… Where is James?” Clare asked, looking around, hoping he’d suddenly pop out of a bush or something.
Y/n thought long and hard. She might have been the last one to be with James. Backtracking to her last known moments with James, Y/n gasped and raised a hand to her mouth. The girls looked at her expectantly, waiting to find out where he was. Her response was an embarrassed and horrified whisper.
“I left him with the travelers.”
***
It took much persuasion, mainly for Michelle, but the girls had gotten Rita to go back for James. It was primarily the revelation that James was the one who had the concert tickets. After a long drive, the van skidded to a stop in front of the traveler’s stands of vegetables and fruits. James was among the men, helping them. Y/n yanked the van door open, relieved that her boyfriend hadn’t been mugged or stranded or something else of the sort.
“James!” She yelled in delight, immediately catching his attention. He grinned but stayed stuck in his place.
“What are you playing at? Get in the van, fucko.” Michelle commanded, less thrilled to see James than Y/n was. The man who first chased the girls put a hand on James’ shoulder.
“You don’t have to if you don’t want to, James.”
“With all due respect, this has nothing to do with you.”
“Yeah!” Y/n added, desperately waiting for her boyfriend to get into the van.
“The way you treat this fella, it’s disgraceful.” The traveler reprimanded.
“Fucking excuse me?” Y/n felt beyond insulted.
“What’s going on, James?” Michelle asked.
“Jonjo and the lads…” James looked at said lads with a smile. “They just get me. And it turns out, I’m a really good salesman.”
“He’s a natural,” Jonjo said.
“So, what, you’re a g*psy now?” Michelle asked, clearly thinking this was an unfunny prank.
“Traveler.” Erin and Y/n corrected in unison, Erin louder than her sister.
“Actually, g*psy’s fine,” Jonjo said. Michelle smirked, finally being able to prove to Erin that she was right. Rita yelled at everyone to hurry up, and Michelle nodded.
“Right, get in the van, come on. And do not test me ’cause we’ve already missed PJ and Duncan.”
“Is that who was supporting them?” Clare asked. When confirmed, she pouted. “Oh, I really like them!”
“I’m not leaving, Michelle,” James said with finality.
Y/n sighed, stepping out of the van. The tense gaze James had for his cousin softened when his girlfriend walked up to him.
“Not even for Gary Barlow, Jamie?” Y/n knew she made the right move because now James looked unsure of himself.
“I don’t really rate him as a, as a songwriter, y’know?” Jonjo said. The horrified look James suddenly had painted on his face made Y/n smile, both because she knew that the girls would now be leaving with him and because he looked so adorable.
James took off his fanny pack and handed it to Jonjo in disappointment, refusing to make eye contact.
“I’m sorry, Jonjo, but you’ve just crossed the line there.”
Y/n wrapped an arm around James’ back and guided his sad self to the van, where the door was just behind them. She brought him to the back of the van so he could mope a bit in peace. The girls all talked excitedly amongst themselves about the concert.
“I’m sorry I stranded you,” Y/n said quietly, moving her hand down James’ back to squeeze his hand. He squeezed it back and smiled softly down at her.
“I’m just glad you came back.”
“Of course, I came back. You have the concert tickets.” James shoved Y/n away and couldn’t hide the growing grin from hearing her laugh. “Kidding, kidding.”
After a long drive, long lines, and a big fight to get to the barricade, the Derry girls were finally able to enjoy Take That in all its glory. They screamed the lyrics, jumped to the beat, and danced all together in excitement. They didn’t care about the consequences when they would get home to their parents, who were probably worried sick. They didn’t worry about how they’d get home that night. All that mattered was that they were currently in the presence of one of their favorite bands of all time.
Somewhere in the middle of the set, the excitement winded down a bit as a piano intro played. Y/n squealed, tugging on James’ sleeve, as she recognized what was dubbed as her and James’ song, A Million Love Songs. James grinned at her excitement.
“Oh my God! I have something for you!” Y/n exclaimed over the music, digging around in her pockets. James looked down curiously as she brought out a folded piece of paper. “If it’s bad, you’re not allowed to make fun of me.”
“What is it?” James leaned down so he was closer to eye level with Y/n, making her blush. She pinched the edge of the paper, creasing it a bit.
“Do you remember when Erin became magazine editor, and we were going through those essays and… and Michelle found mine?” James nodded, remembering the day clearly because he was devastated when he heard the title of her little essay. “Well, I figured, since it’s our third month together and all… I wanted to give it to you.” He was gentle when taking the paper from her, so incredibly curious about what she had written. “Especially since my fancy isn’t so one-sided as I thought.”
All Y/n could focus on was the beautiful song in the background and the beautiful boy in front of her, reading words that had come straight from her heart when she thought her love for James was just a hopeless crush. She didn’t know if it was a good sign, seeing him become more flustered and blushy as he read on. When he was finished, he slowly and carefully folded the paper back up while Take That started to play a more energetic song.
“Again, you can’t make fun of me if it’s bad!” Y/n shouted over the noise. “I know Erin’s the writer or whatever, but- oof!” She was interrupted by James pulling her to his chest, arms wrapped tight around her and face buried in the crook of her neck. She immediately returned the affections.
“It’s amazing.” He said in her ear. “Amazing, and lovely, and perfect. Just like the girl who wrote it.” Unable to help herself, Y/n brought James’ face to hers and kissed him with such passion, a passion he reciprocated instantly. It was as if it was only them existing at that moment.
Of course, it wasn’t. Clare would later tease and squeal at the two and interrogate them about when they had finally gotten together and why they didn’t tell her. Too enamored with the men just feet away from them, the rest of the girls didn’t even notice the couple.
And somewhere in Derry, while the rest of her family was fighting, Y/n’s father Gerry smiled fondly at his television where he saw his daughter having the time of her life at a Take That concert with her best friends and boyfriend. A boyfriend he’d absolutely be asking her about in private when he had the chance.

Over time
Suzanne loved being pregnant with her bosses baby. Not only was he a good lover but also a great boss. When she started at a tech company she never imagined she would have it so easy.
At first she was just a regular secatatary, taking calls, scheduling meetings, and all the boring paper work no one wanted to do. After awhile she was sick of it and went to her boss ,Jack, to ask for a more important position.
She never really thought anything of him until she saw how dirty he really was. One day, as she approached his corner office she saw that it was locked and started to head back to her desk. Bit before that she heard a muffled "AAAHHH" sound.
Fearing her boss was in trouble she unlocked the door to help him. When the door was opened she saw Jack rubbingone out to his computer."GET THE HELL OUT" he yelled.
She quickly shut the door and stated back to her desk. So many thoughts were going through her head as she tried to forget about what she saw. Not 5 minutes had passed before Jack called her back into his office.
"I'm sorry you had to see that Suzanne, I know it was wrong and I'll think twice before trying that again. But please can we keep this between us, my dad would kill me if he found out what I did at his company" he explained
"I think we should get you a new lock. I got into your office with just a paper clip" Suzanne said in a calm voice. "What, why are you thinking about the door Suzanne"
"You can call me Suzie, and I think you're dad is the least of your worries". He gulped "I'm done for ain't I?" He asked with fear in his voice. "Now ever since I started here you've treated me fair and I think we can reach a fair agreement"
Jack thought the worst as he started to worry about what Suzie was planning. "what did you have in mind?"he asked in a shaky voice. "I know there a new branch management position open, I would like to have it" Suzie said smirking. "Done, it's yours" Jack said hoping that it was all. "There is one other thing". Susie got up and walk towards Jack with malicious intent.
"I want you put a baby's in me" Susie demanded. "What did you say?" Jack wanted to make sure that this was real. "With all this work I've been doing I haven't been able to really live a social life and I want to become a mother before it's too late". Jack was astonished, he didn't really have a social life either because he grew up rich and was basically raised by tutors. "I... uh... don't know what to say". "Don't say anything, just sit there and look pretty" Suzie bent over and took her panties off and dropped on the floor infront of him. Jack's heart raced as he couldn't believe what was happening right now. "Are we really doing this, right here, right now?". Susie ignored his words and started to unbuckle his pants. Jack was in shock, he knew that this was wrong but he was afraid of what she might do if he stopped her.
"just relax and try to be quiet this time" she put her leg over his chair, as her wet pussy hovered over his cock, she guided his dick inside her. "mmnng" she moned softly as to not draw any attention. Jack was enjoying himself until "hnnng" he didn't last long. Susie felt his worm cum inside her "that's ok boss, I got what I wanted". She got off him, turned around and bent over to pick he panties up.
"I'm not done yet" jack grabbed her wrist, his cock was still hard and his confidence had grown. "I don't mind making sure I'm pregnant" she leaned on his desk and presented her cum filled pussy. "I'm gonna enjoy this" he whispered in her ear as he started ramming his hips against her ass. His dick reaching deep inside her. They didn't care how loud they were, they fucked each other all morning that day.
That was 9 months ago and now Suzie sat in her own office with her beautifully round belly. Jack had her office custom made so that their coworkers were deaf to the sounds of their "one on one meetings". Jack entered her office and locked the door "thought we could have some fun before the meeting. How's my son doing". "he has been causing some trouble in there, I think he wants his daddy". Suzie bent over on here chair, awaiting Jack's dick. "You shouldn't even be working being a week overdue, but I can't deny that ass" Jack began fucking her. Wrapping his hands around her plump baby bump and feeling and his son kicking much more than usual "he's really fussy today huh?". Jack turned Suzie so that he could get a better grip of her belly "not so rough today" Suzie begged."I'll try" Jack responded as he pulled her belly aggenst his hips.
They made love for 20 minutes before the pains began. "Aaagh" " are you alright?" "Yes it's nothing, just don't stop". Jack continued, he couldn't resist her jucy pussy as it was extra wet today. " oh god, unnnggg" Suzie's water broke and soked her carpet floor. "Was that the baby" jack asked, worried. "No I just camed" she lied.
"Are you sure, that's a lot of juice" "yeah I've been drinking a lot of liquids" Susie didn't want to miss this meeting, she had to be present not because she needed to but she wanted to see Jack get his promotion. "I'll be fine I can last an hour before the baby comes" she thought. " you go get ready for the meeting, I'm going to clean up this mess and" she was interrupted by a painful contraction. "Are you ok" jack asked "just Braxton hics, nothing to worry about. You go I'll see you at the meeting" she said rushing him out the door. "Please, I want to see Jack inherent the company, just stay in there for a little while"
At the meeting, she was lucky to be seated at the far side, away from Jack. The CEO and Jack's dad, the owner and founder, sat at the other end of the table. As the meeting began the time between her contractions grew smaller. "It's only an hour, I can make it" she said as she felt her baby pushing against her cervix. The meaning was like any other boring corporate meeting. They started by sharing quarterly reports and future contracts. She couldn't focus on anything they were saying as she tried so hard to stay silent.
"Finally it was time for Jack to receive his promotion. Jack's father got up to address the room "now on to more exciting news, I think it's time to welcome our new CFO Jack" everyone in the room started clapping and as they did Suzie was able to let out a small whimper of pain as she felt like pushing. As the noise died down Jack started to speak "I am very honored to have this position and I would like to thank my branch manager, this could have happened without you Suzanne and I would like to thank you for all your hard work". She stood up trying very hard not to scream "thank you all for supporting me... I know times been tough but together we can-mnngg-get through it". She sat down quick, and as she did another contraction hit her.
When the meeting was overly quickly waddled to her office. She knew that she wasn't going to make it to the hospital and laid on the floor to push. A couple of minutes I'd pass and she could feel her baby halfway up the birth canal. Suddenly Jack swung the door opened " I knew it, why didn't you tell me?". "Just shut up and help me deliver this baby,I'm so close" she said pushing her baby. "No son of mine is being born in an office" Jack stuff cheese fingers inside Suzie and started to push their son back. "NNOOO, STOP" Suzie cried out in vain. "now I'm going to carry you and you're going to keep your legs shut until we get to the hospital, understood? " Suzie nodded.
The trip to the hospital was excruciating. Jack would constantly stick his fingers inside Suzie to make sure his baby stayed inside. Every time Suzie pushed he pushed back. But right as they got into the parking lot Suzie was able to push her babies head out. "PLEASE JUST LET ME FINNISH" "NO, YOU BETTER START WAIT TILL THE DELIVERY ROOM" Jack pulled her up. It was hard to walk when there was a baby in between her legs. Jack manage to find a wheelchair and sat her down. When they got to the lobby Jack yelled for the doctor's help but in vain because with one final push his son was born.

Can you write about reader and Jack being co-parents of their kids, and maybe the reason they divorced or spilt up was because Jack was being unfaithful. And they have a tradition to go on vacation with their kids together, but reader has a new boyfriend and his going with them and jack feels like he lost the best thing he ever had.
Without Me
Tumblr media
Your cheeks started to heat up and your eyes became blurry as the tears started uncontrollably running down your face.
“Y/N, I’m so sorry” Y/B/F said as she hugged you.
Just a few seconds ago, she had come over to your shared apartment with Jack and told you some news you never thought you would have to hear.
At that moment, Jack came through the door.
“Y/N, baby I can explain”
Y/F/N was about to step in when you stopped her.
“Y/F/N I can handle this”
“You sure?”
“Yeah”
“Ok, but call me if you need anything. I mean it” she said giving you a kiss on the top of your head.
You nodded in response.
She gave Jack a look before walking out.
“So this is what you’ve been doing on the road all this time?”
“Y/N-”
“No please, enlighten me”
“I made a mistake”
“Bullshit” you rolled your eyes and got up from the couch and turned to him. “Tell me what happened right now and don’t you dare lie to me”
Jack ran his hands through his curls feeling his anxiety increase.
“We had just finished recording a song, and the guys brought these girls over and I got drunk and….we hooked up”
Tears started streaming out of your eyes as you sat there processing everything.
“But she meant nothing to me, I swear”
“You make me sick”
“I’m sorry, I swear. The day after I couldn’t stop thinking about you-”
“Is that supposed to make me feel better?!”
“I never wanted to hurt you” he said attempting to put his hand on your shoulder but you tensed up and he pulled away.
“Do you realize you just threw us away like it was nothing?” you attempted to say choking on your words.
“Babe”
“You just replaced us like it was easy. 9 years fucking years of our marriage, just down the drain. Was she worth it? Destroying our family?”
“No”
“Did you sleep with her?”
“Babe”
“Don’t call me baby! Did you sleep with her yes or no?”
He looked down.
“I should have known. All those nights I stayed up waiting for you to come home with the kids who just wanted to see their father before going to bed, but always failed to make it home on time. But I never held it against you. Instead, I was making up excuses for you like an idiot, hoping that you could be more present. I gave up my career to stay home with the kids so you could do your music and this what you were doing?”
Jack was looking down.
“You disgust me”
“I’m sorry”
“You should be. We made a vow to each other on our wedding day. Did that mean nothing to you?”
“Of course. It meant everything to me”
“I can see that” you said looking at him up and down.
“Please, we can fix this. I can change”
“It’s too late Jack”
“Please. I’ll do anything. You can’t just give up on us-”
“Don’t you dare turn this on me! You destroyed this family the moment you decided that we weren’t enough for you”
Y/N took a deep breath.
“I’m going to pack my things and I’m taking the kids to my mom’s”
Jack knew there was no point in continuing to discuss this, he had messed up and he deserved this.
“Y/N” he took your hand.
“What?” you turned to him.
“I’m truly sorry. I was naïve and stupid enough to risk the only thing that truly mattered to me and I would spend the rest of my life regretting that decision. But please, don’t go” he said with bloodshot eyes.
You took his hand and looked at him.
“It’s over Jack”
And just like that, you left and never turned back.
The following years were the hardest you ever had to face. A year following your separation from Jack, the divorce was finalized. You were devastated and unsure if you could ever trust anyone ever again. Not to mention it made you question your worth.
As an attempt to pick up the pieces together and build yourself up, you started going back to therapy which is something you haven’t done since you were a teenager.
Staying off social media was a crucial part of the healing process as inevitably from being in a public relationship, you just couldn’t escape the headlines that would continuously remind you of the cheating scandals.
Once you started putting all of your focus on your children; Aitana and Julian; and yourself you started to become more open to the possibility of starting dating again, casually for the time being. And later on, you were able to transition into co-parenting your children together after starting to attend therapy sessions, as even though you and Jack knew the split was going to be hard on your children, it was your number one priority right now to focus on them.
One of the agreements that were made, was to go on a vacation together once a year to be able to spend time as a family to provide your children with comfort and security through this awkward transition and reduce any stress on them.
And for the past two years, it has been great being able to watch your children grow together and travel around the world with them, and share happy memories with them.
However, along the way, you met Vince. A real estate developer, who you were introduced to by Y/F/N at a mutual friend dinner party. You two hit it off instantly and struck a friendship that eventually turned romantic. But when you first started dating you two agreed to take things slow and see where you went from there. Now, almost two years later, you were going strong and after already being introduced to his family and meeting yours; it was now the time to do what you were dreading for a while; which was to introduce him to Jack.
Jack, on the other hand, has been dating around trying to find a way to forget you; even though another part of him also wanted you back but he was too prideful to make the first move. Instead, he was hoping you would find your way back to him.
Jack slowly opened his eyes as the naked sleeping figure wrapped his arms around him.
“Good morning lover”
“Hey”
“Had a goodnight sleep?” she said caressing his chest.
“Yeah” he said absent-mindedly.
“A penny for your thoughts?”
“Nothing you should be worried about” he smiled at her.
She leaned to him and kissed him.
“We should get married” she commented.
“What?”
“I’m serious”
Jack sighed and sat on the bed putting on his underwear.
“Can you blame me? You’re so hot” she said wrapping her arms around his neck from behind and kissing his neck.
“I guess I am”
“You know what I mean”
Jack put on the rest of his clothes and turned to her.
“I value our friendship. Why ruin it, getting into something serious?”
“Fine. But I want to see you again on Friday night”
“I can’t”
“Why not?” she whined.
“I have this thing with Y/N and the kids”
“Oh so now you play happy family?”
Jack gave her a look.
“I’m sorry, I just wished we could spend more time together”
Jack gave her a half smile.
“I have to go. I’ll call you later?” he said getting up.
“Yeah, call me”
And he left.
Jack pulled into Y/N’s driveway. The house they once used to live in together before divorcing.
Jack rang the doorbell and you answered the door.
“Hey” he said.
“Hi”
“Are the kids ready?”
“Oh, I’m so sorry. I forgot to tell you, they are staying after school for the drama club but they should be done in an hour” you said with an apologetic look.
Jack smiled calmly.
“Don’t worry about it. It's ok. I can come over later”
“Wait, there’s something I wanted to talk to you”
“Sure, what is it?”
“Ok. I’ve been dating Vince for like almost two years now and being the father of our children, I really value and respect your opinion. And I was wondering if I could introduce you to him”
Jack was taken aback by your proposal but managed to keep his cool.
“Yeah, that sounds good”
“Really?”
“Yeah” he forced a smile.
“Great, can we do it over dinner tomorrow night?”
“Sure”
“Perfect”
And before he knew it, it was the night of the dinner. The moment he was dreading the most. They all met in Nobu. And for the most part, Jack was reserved and observant, which Y/N noticed as he was more quiet than usual. But he managed to make conversation with Vince to make Y/N feel at ease and the whole dinner went smoothly. However, Jack couldn’t but not feel threatened by Vince, as he thought to himself that this wasn’t going to last and in no time he would be with Y/N again.
Then the day they were going on vacation was here. This year’s destination was Oahu, and the kids were excited.
To Jack’s surprise when he arrived at the private Jet he had paid for to avoid the paparazzi and fans; he found Vince inside the plane playing with Aitana and Julian.
The moment Jack stepped on the plane Aitana and Julian turned to him and their faces lit up with happiness.
“Daddy!” they jumped into Jack’s arms and hugged him tightly.
“Hey, I missed you guys so much” he said kissing the top of their heads.
“They couldn’t stop asking about when you were coming” Vince said smiling.
Jack smiled.
At some point during the ride, everyone seemed to fall asleep except for Jack who was writing in his journal possible lyrics for songs, while wearing his headphones when he felt a tap on his shoulder.
He looked up to see Vince with an inviting smile.
Jack took off his headphones and shifted his attention to him.
“Hey man”
“Jack, hey. You got a minute?”
“Yeah”
He took a sit next to him.
“What’s up?” Jack said.
“I just wanted to say thank you for doing this”
“Don’t mention it’ he said with a half smile.
“I really love Y/N. These past two years of being with her and getting to know her have been bliss. I love the day she looks at life, her optimism, and her sense of humor, and…she’s just too good to be true. I want to spend the rest of my life with her and I wanted to get your blessing”
“You want to propose to Y/N?”
“Yeah” he said smiling from ear to ear. “I was kind of hoping if this all goes well, to propose to her tonight at the beach”
Then he pulled out a blue velvet box and opened it to show a 3-carat diamond ring.
That was the moment Jack realized he had lost the best thing he ever had.
“I want nothing but the best for her. You have my blessing”
Jack had lost Y/N but he wanted nothing more than to see her happy, even if that was without him.

I will spence, I love you too, I will be back at 9 maybe 10 I am not sure I will text you if we stay any longer. Ok be safe I love you. I start to walk out the door as Spencer stops me.
Oh and be a good girl I don’t want to have to spank you tonight.
Ok I will try. Alright now get going you don’t want to be late to girls night. I kiss him goodbye and start walking to my car climbing in the driver's seat.
Tonight the girls chose to go somewhere different than the bar we usually go to. This one is farther away but Pen said she went there with Derek and had a great time. She even said they played good music instead of the usual country or new viral music.
I arrive at the bar and park the car closest to the entrance. I walk in and the bar is beautiful, the walls are red and velvet, the floor is black marble and everything is clean. I can see what pen was talking about now.
y/n over here! The girls motioned for me to come over. Damn girl you look sexy as hell, em said making me smile as i sat down next to tara. Well thank you em you look fucking edible in that leather. Where's jj? I asked. She went to go get some shots. And just then jj comes back with five shots of vodka. y/n you're here I thought you and Spencer were busy? Jj asked. Oh it was so good he took me out to this nice restaurant just out of town and he got me flowers and called me beautiful. He was so sweet I think I am going to go on a second date with him. Pen said with a huge smile on her face. What was his name? Jj asked. His name is kol. So is it big? Em asked. I don’t know we didnt have sex. Oh he is a keeper he sounds sweet.
Speaking of sex I went out with this girl I met last week at the bar and it was mind blowing, em said. I have not had real sex in months the kids are keeping me busy. Jj said. I am sorry jj maybe its time to invest in a vibrator. I said. I have! But it isn't the same I want real sex with will not a vibrator and a bottle of wine. What is sex like with spencer y/n, he is scared to touch you isnt he? Em said.
No not at all sex with spencer is so so good, I have never had bad sex with him, he is not scared to touch me actually it is the exact opposite he touches me anywhere and everywhere.
Wow I need to know more, tara said. Like what do you want to know? How big is it? Umm I am not sure off the top of my head but I think anywhere from 9.5 to 10 inches i think. 10 inches! Pen said, no way. Yes way that boy has the biggest dick I have ever had. I have so many questions I need to know everything, pen said. No way guys this is literally spencer we are talking about. Jj said. Oh please jj you act as if you have never been interested in what the genius is like in bed. Anyways please continue.
So is he like kinky? Em asked. Very kinky. Has he ever handcuffed you? Tara asked. Yes and tied me up. Shut up Spencer reid is a kinky mf. What does he like to be called in bed? What does he call you? Pen asked. Oh god umm he likes to be called many different things but usually its daddy or doctor, he calls me many names in and out of bed like princess, angel, sweet girl, little girl, whore, slut, my little slut, fucktoy, and a couple other names. Shut the fuck up daddy reid! Whore! Daddy Reid does not play,Tara said.
Omg i can’t hear this i am going to the bathroom, jj said walking to the bathroom. So do you do BDSM? Em asked yes, he is usually dominant and I am usually submissive but I am dominant sometimes. Is he rough? Pen asked. Yeah most of the time i like it rough. I like his hands so he chokes me alot. HE DOES WHAT! Jj said from behind me. It's normal that a lot of people do it, it makes me horny and he likes it. Does he spank you? Tara asked. Yes all the time because i get “bratty” omg omg omg reid is a freak! Oh yeah totally but i am pretty freaky too so it works out well. What are his kinks? Em asked. Umm breeding, choking, dirty talk, orgasm denial, impact play, edging, marking, daddy kink, exhibitionism- exhibitionism! Where have you done it, pen asked.
The library, the bar, a restaurant, a wedding, work- work! Where at work and which wedding, jj asked, the file room, the bathroom the round table- the round table! I have eaten my lunch on that table. And so has spencer. OMG what wedding, ummm your wedding…. MY WEDDING! I am calling spencer to get your drunk ass. Ughh your no fun, im calling him right now.
Can i speak to him please! Fine here. y/n! What did you say! Spencer said as I hear his keys jiggling in his hands. Nothing daddy i have been a good girl like you said. Oh really than why did jj call me asking to pick you drunk ass up? I don’t know i think she is just jealous. Jealous of what exactly, spencer asked starting his car. I think your breaking up i love you daddy i got to go bye.
45 minutes later we are still laughing when i feel spencer tap me on the shoulder. Daddy i missed you i get up hugging him and kissing him on the cheek. Ohhh daddy reid looks upset. Tara said. He picks me up carrying me over his shoulder, thank you for calling jj, all of you be safe tonight, spencer said walking out of the bar. He put me down on the seat next to me.
Da- shut the fuck up you slut.

Wish come true - Adrien AUGreste Day 9+10
It took a while for this one to get written and I was a bit back and forth on letting Ameile get the ring just based on the reason for why Gabreil wanted to keep it. I never actually watched s4 and 5, just know from friends hatewatching, and I had assumed the rings had a bigger part in the story but so far, they just seem to be family heirlooms. But again, because it’s not cannon past s3, Felix actually has a relationship with his dad. Anyway, enjoy!
Friends
“Remind me never to do Student UN again.” Adrien said, dropping onto the deck of the Liberty.
It was the Saturday after their schools Model UN and while Adrien lucked out with Lila not participating, she was back in school and made it her mission to make his life difficult by being a nascence. it took the whole class playing shield to keep him from actually hurting her. Chloe surprisingly had been a huge help, giving her a dress down that honestly, was too good to describe. Obviously, the Mayor’s daughter hadn’t done a whole 180 but with most people remembering how her mother treated her and starting to give her the benefit of the doubt, she was coming out from her spoiled shell. She was still spoiled and self-centred, that was Chloe, but Adrien compared her to Cleo from Monster High. She cared and wanted people to know that, it just took a while for her to find the ways of showing it.
“No need to applaud, I’ve arrived!” Chloe announced, stepping onto the ship, stumbling when Sabrina tripped off the gangplank and crashed into her. Her best friend stuttered apologizes when she turned to glare but the blonde took a breath and asked if she was ok.
Baby steps, that’s what it was about.
“Look on the bright side, two days and a full party where we don’t have to deal with her.” Nino said. He was leaning against Alya’s legs as she sat on the stage with Marinette and Alix, still going over the story about the Miraculous and their secret society. She’d been even more into it when the news riel about the sudden return of the Temple, with a very familiar looking mark, ran.
“And even better,” Luka said, kneeling down next to Adrien, “You now have more free time and I’ve gotten ahead in assignments.”
Adrien smiled to himself. “I guess that is something worth celebrating. Other than actually pulling off the school’s first Student UN.”
“Oh my god. Chloe!” Alya called.
“I didn’t do anything!”
“No.” Alya got up, practically shoving her phone into Chloe’s face. “Did you know about this? that this was today?”
Chloe’s eyes widened. “Crap. I can’t believe I forgot. I didn’t think I’d forget.”
“What?”
“Lila’s mom disappeared a year ago.”
“Died.” Chloe corrected. “She died, I’m sure of it. she was really sick, dizzy spells, fainting, confined to her bed for days. I never liked Lila, but I liked her mom. I can’t believe I forgot.”
“It’s been a busy year, what with Hawkmoth and everything.” Sabrina said.
“Not to mention Lila suddenly showing up at school.” Marinette reminded. “I’m sure her mother knows you care.”
“She showed up at school?” Adrien asked.
“Lila was homeschooled. With her dad’s popularity, Emile didn’t want her being stared at. Not like she cared; she was always doing something to make a mess of things. She would be a clothing model for her dad for clothes for her age group and clearly, she loved the attention.” Chloe said. “it started small then, but she started lying to get her way. Emile would catch her a few times but she started to get better and then Emile got sick, so she hid better. All of a sudden, she walks into the classroom with this lie that her father hated that she was being locked away and wanted her to be normal and interact with the people who bought his clothes.”
“Which also brought in the lies she told us basically about how she was involved in all our favourite things.” Alya reminded.
“Which Alya here actually helped expose a little. Did you know she said Jagged Stone wrote a love song about her?” Alix said, putting a hand on the reporter’s shoulder.
“Jagged Stone, is in his 30s.”
“Her lies went crashing down pretty soon after he made a statement about it not being true. Didn’t stop her, but we knew to fact check and before you know it, newest big model on the scene is the biggest scandal no one wants to deal with.”
“But she lost her mom.”
Adrien thought about how she reacted the first day he met her. She had no standing, clearly grasping at anything to be seen. He understood it, keeping up a façade because it was easier, but she seemed to take singular focus on attacking him, insulting his mother and her love. He could blame it on Lila’s own mother and her disappearance, but he didn’t know. The popular kids he me at his schools, a lot were mad at their parents, but unless they were involved in some way with yours, your own parents never made conversation. Any cheap shot about them was about their looks or their jobs, not their ability to love you. he felt bad for her, but it didn’t justify her behaviour. He did feel bad for Chloe though. He wondered if Emile Agreste had been more of a mom than her actual mother.
“Chloe, did you want to go give your condolences?” Adrien asked. “To Gabriel and maybe Lila? I mean, I don’t like her, but if my mama disappeared?”
“We should at least let her know we’re thinking of her.” Mylene said. “But if we all went.”
“She’d lose her head. Or lap it up. Or, I don’t know, maybe be normal.” Ivan pointed out, all valid points.
“her dad wouldn’t want his daughter’s whole class coming by. He doesn’t even leave his house.” Chloe reminded.
“So only a few of us. Chloe, you and Sabrina. Maybe Juleka, since you model for him? And Marinette, since you’re working his internship.” Rose suggested.
“I will be working his internship. And honestly, if Lila hates Adrien the most, she hates me second. She constantly goes after me trying to get me in trouble.” Marinette reminded.
“I’ll go.” Adrien said, shrugging when everyone looked at him. “I don’t like her, but I mentioned to her dad that I liked Solitude. Feels like I should at least let him know how sorry I am.”
“So, Chloe, Sabrina, Adrien and Juleka?”
“Except, Juleka is practically becoming the new face of the brand,” Luka reminded. “I don’t know her well, but I know her enough. If we’re worried what all of us being there will do, do we really think sending her replacement is a good idea?”
“Chloe, Sabrina, Adrien and Luka? if only to stop Adrien when Lila undoubtly pisses him off.” Rose said, Adrien looking insulted.
“Hey!”
“Oh, you know she’ll do it. get filming, I’ll call the limo.” Chloe said.
                                      ________________
“Yes?”
Chloe tossed her hair, standing at full hight. Adrien would admit, it was impressive how easily she fell into being her snooty self when she wanted something. There was Chloe who held onto her self-importance and could still be ok to be around and then there was this side, who after a few minutes, you’d be tempted to throw her off the Eiffel Tower.
That was probably why any akuma she caused would take her there.
“We’ve come to pay our respects to M. Agreste.” Sabrina nudged her, leaving her to sigh and roll her eyes. “And Lila I guess.”
“We have guests Chloe.”
“Oh, let her in. I haven’t seen her in years!” that was a different voice, but one that perked Chloe up. She turned to Adrien, who was messing with the plastic covering the bouquet. She smirked in a way that worried Sabrina, who started tugging on her jacket to get her to spill.
The gate swung open and Chloe led them to the door. It was pulled open and Adrien had to remind himself that Emile Agreste had been missing for a year. The woman who stood in front of them was near identical though.
“Chloe!”
“Amelie! It’s so nice to see you again. How is it in London? Great, I’d like you to meet someone. This is Adrien.” Chloe dragged Adrien over, ignoring his questions of what she was doing.
“Um, hi?”
“Oh, my goodness. Felix, Felix! Come over here. Look at this.” grabbing Adrien, the woman dragged him in the house, Chloe still ignoring the questions over what was going on, smiling at the scene before them.
Amelie brought Adrien to stand in front of someone. Someone with the same shade of hair and eyes, near the same height and had the same expression Adrien tended to have when truly annoyed or angry.
“It’s this amazing? Felix, you two look exactly alike. Lila, you must have been so surprised when he came to your class. I hear you’re new?”
“Um, yeah. I’m Adrien Rossi…and this is a little strange.”
Amelie giggled, clapping her hands. “Oh, this is amazing! Emile and I always hoped our kids would look like this, near twins. I always wanted to play a trick on you Gabriel, and switch the kids for a day. Oh, the things the two of you could have gotten away with.”
Feeling a little awkward, Adrien gave the teen in front of him a smile. “Hi, and you are?”
“I’m Felix.” His accented French made Adrien tempted to switch to English, but he didn’t want to assume.
“Oh, and I’m Amelie. Emilie was my big sister. Chloe, why don’t you introduce me to your other friends?”
Adrien glanced over Felix’s shoulder to see Lila glaring at him. She seemed madder than usual, like she actually wanted to hurt him. Eager to get out, Adrien handed the flowers to him.
“Sorry for your loss.”
Felix looked at the flowers before looking back at him. It was strange, seeing such a proper picture staring back at him. Mylene, while waiting for others to finish their video, had braided his bangs into his hair and the fishnet poking out from under his oversized shirt was a definite contrast to his slacks and waistcoat.
“I know you don’t mean my father but thank you regardless.” Felix said.
“Oh, I didn’t know. I won’t say ‘I’m sorry’ because I know every kid who lost a parent never wants to hear that. So instead, I’ll say…I hope the important memories never fade and if they do, you never lose the feelings you had during them.”
Felix looked surprised and Adrien realised he was hoping for a reaction. Just not the one he gave. He took the flowers and handed them to Nathalie, who looked pained as Chloe held court with Lila’s aunt.
“If you don’t mind, Mlle. Bourgeois, this is a family occasion.” Gabriel finally interrupted.
“That’s fine, we just wanted you to know we were thinking of you. oh, and Sabrina.” The red-haired girl took out the SD card that they downloaded their video onto and handed it to Lila. “Just so you know we care.”
Lila dropped the SD card and stomped on it a few times. Whether or not it broke it, Adrien wasn’t sure, but they all got the message. She stormed up the stairs, ignoring her aunt’s yelling to come back and apologize, which turned into a near fight between her and Gabriel about Lila’s behaviour. Adrien took one look at Felix, who’s face still held the same expression, but with a bit of sadness and spoke without thinking much.
“Hey, Felix. Is it your first time in Paris? We’re having a party at Luka’s houseboat; you should come with us.”
A small bit of relief appeared in the green eyes as he turned to his mother. “Can I?”
“I suppose. How about you meet me back here at 4 so we can say goodbye and go to the station together?”
And with that, they had a new addition.
                                                  _________________
“Whoa. It’s like a funhouse mirror.” Kim said, looking Felix up and down, who looked annoyed at being gawked at.
“Except I’m sure his temper is the same. Sure, you remember that part, huh Kim?” Adrien said, smiling when the athlete got red and turned back to the party. “Sorry about him.”
“You didn’t have to do this because you feel sorry for me.”
“I only feel sorry you would have had to spend the afternoon with Lila.” Adrien said, taking in the same surprised look Felix had before. “If I felt sorry for you because of your father, then I’d feel the same about a lot of my friends. Lot of single household kids here. Fair amount due to a parent passing away but they have their ways of remembering them and it’s a reminder to us to always remember the important feelings. now, you hungry? Kagami is getting off training soon and she’s bringing freshly made mochi. It’s really good.”
Felix stared at him, like he was trying to figure him out before he turned away. “Not particularly hungry, though I am thirsty.”
It took some time, but Felix started to open up. He was sarcastic and a bit rude but they were all used to it with Chloe. When Kim’s teasing went to far, Felix shut him down with a rather well-timed insult that had the whole group laughing as Kim went red and pouted. His social skills lacked some, which made him bond with Kagami when she finally arrived.
“If they say something pop culture related you don’t get, just nod. They usually figure out we have no clue what they mean and explain to not look stupid.” She advised.
“Thanks Kagami.” Adrien said sarcastically.
Somehow the topic turned to the thing majority of their class shared in common, single parent households. It was a healthy debate of what they felt they missed compared to their friends and classmates with two parents.
“Twice as much worrying? That baby akuma accidently smashed through my room and my dad freaked out. I was in the bathroom, which is the furthest from the skylight so I was fine. but Papa lost it, trying to break in and check on me. Which is fine, I get it. but after Scarlet Bug fixed everything, he came by to check if I was ok while Catseye went to go drop the baby off and my dad’s first reaction is that I’m dating Scarlet Bug! Do you have any idea how mortifying that is? The poor guy didn’t get a chance to explain before my dad tried inviting him to dinner with us.” Marinette went.
“Please, you think that’s bad? Reminder that my dad became akumatized to keep me from leaving.” Chloe threw in. “Your dad got akumatized because he thought you were dumped.”
“Seeing how my dad won’t even talk to me since I came out,” Marc said, “I wouldn’t be too mad about him getting akumatized because he didn’t want to see me hurt.”
“At least your mother wasn’t akumatized because she wants to control you.” Kagami said, taking a sip of tea.
“Or akumatized because she doesn’t enjoy being control.” Luka said.
Felix looked confused. “Is this what we do? Talk about being akumatized? Wait, have all of you been akumatized?”
“Pretty much. I think Marinette is the only person who hasn’t been akumatized. Just all her friends and family.” Nino said.
“Besides, we’ve realised that talking about what happened and remembering the emotions we felt is a reminder that it’s ok to feel that way. If Hawkmoth didn’t exist, we could feel that without consequences. Our reactions would be different. We have to remind ourselves that while we try to keep a check on our emotions to keep Hawkmoth from taking us over again, feeling what we felt is normal. And one day we can feel those emotions without worrying about the really bad consequences again.” Rose explained.
“I think there are some consequences you should still feel worried about.” Felix pointed out.
“So, what would be your trigger?” Markov asked, hovering over the mochi to keep Kim and Ivan from having too many.
“My trigger?”
“A lot of ours was Chloe. Chloe’s was Scarlet Bug believe it or not.” Alya said.
“Mine was a grown man who thought it was ok to threaten kids and act like a child. But got us a contract out of it.” Adrien said. “It doesn’t have to be anything big.”
Felix’s gaze went to his cup, clanging his ring against the ceramic. “My dad. But not his passing. It could have been, he died in an accident but that would have been my mom’s. she lost her sister and the love of her life within a month of each other. My trigger would have been my uncle not showing his face at the funeral, but expecting us to come to his house to mourn his wife. I loved my aunt, but why should my father’s passing be brushed off? I can’t talk about it with my mother and I don’t make friends easy. Most just want something because our family is rich, but I wanted to mourn and because of my uncle I can’t. he doesn’t even seem to understand why my mother wants the rings back.”
“Rings?” Adrien asked.
Felix messed with the ring on his finger. “because my aunt was older, she got the family rings. Used to be told stories about how they had special powers and for a kid who grew up with his father telling him about fae and calling his wife Titania the fairy queen, I liked those stories. After my aunt disappeared, my mom wanted a piece of her back and that piece was the ring. They used them as their wedding rings and he doesn’t seem to get why my mom wants them back. He’s mourned her by hiding away. My mother’s hid her mourning to take care of the company and me. She deserves that much.”
Adrien looked at the ring, as Felix continued to mess with it. it was slightly big, a bit faded but Felix handled it like it was the most important thing in the world. Probably because it belonged it to his father. The ring could have gone to Amelie but instead Felix had it, to remember his father because she had him. and all she wanted was a way to remember her sister. He got why Gabriel wanted to keep the ring if it was his only link to his wife, but he wasn’t the only one who lost her.
“I think you should steal it.” Kagami said. “he lives inside his home, rarely coming out. I’m sure he has other ways of remembering her. The rings don’t belong to him, they did to her and now to your mother. But if you want to avoid getting in trouble, maybe convince your mom to have him sit down and explain her side. Guilt could probably work too if she adds how she can’t grieve her family with nothing to hold onto.” The whole group stared at her. “What?”
“You, are a terrifying person. Look, the point is, you have every right to feel the way you do. Tell that to your mom so she can take care of it. and if that doesn’t work, maybe steal the ring, but only if you feel like he’s saying no to be an ass.” Adrien explained.
“So, steal as last resort?”
“The guy is friends with the mayor of Paris. Try not to get banned before we can hang out again?”
“Again?”
“Well yeah. We’re friends now, you’re stuck with us.”
Felix took in the mix of faces, all – including Chloe – giving him looks that all said they were telling the truth. His usual personality turned people away, but these people were fine with it. he looked at Adrien, a wilder copy of himself and realised his original plan to be an ass wasn’t going to work. They were too stubborn and honestly, it was just easier to give in.
Later on, the train, he watched his mother smile softly down at the ring in hand.
“I have to say, I’m surprised Gabriel was moved enough to give me the ring. I’m sorry I had to use your father as an in.”
“It’s fine. I’m just glad you have it now. Besides, it wasn’t mainly my idea. Got it from a friend.”
“A friend?” she asked with a smile on her face.
Looking at his reflection, he spun his father’s ring on his finger. “Yeah. My first actually.”

trigger warning for self harm imagery and vent
Tumblr media
about 4 years ago, one night during quarantine i attempted to cut out my right eye. I didnt get very far and there isnt any damage to my sight, but theres a scar that shows when my skins irritated and sometimes it weeps. I feel comfortable talking about it now, and its not a trigger for me which is why i felt ok posting this art. i struggled with a self harm and mutilation addiction for a long time before and after it, so it didnt even really bother me really at the time. I had started self harming at around 9 and practiced consistantly until i was 16.
I remember after the incident i just kind of sat at my desk for hours watching youtube videos. I cleaned up the other areas and bandaged them, i took stolen prescriptions i shouldnt have to numb the pain. It also didnt help that the girl i had been clost friends with for a while and was dating then and for a long time after that heavily encouraged me to hurt myself because of her own twisted issues.
i was 15 years old. I had friends i could have called and i had family in the other room. But i still felt alone. Its been over 2 years now since ive had a self harm incident, and im better then ive ever been. I didnt think id ever be at the point where i could talk about it or go more than a few days without wanting to hurt myself.
honestly i dont think id be alive if it weren't for emo culture, even tho it definitely glamorized sh at times there where so many songs that made me feel less alone.
so to the people reading this that are self harming, your not a failure. You dont have to feel ashamed. It gets better one day. And even if you quit for a while and relapse, thats still better than doing it all the time. Please cut off people who encourage you to hurt yourself. Please be open with others you can trust about your issues. sometimes the only thing holding you back from it is jsut a distraction like a silly youtube video or band, and thats ok.
the msi song "kill the rock" reminded me of that night. Im not sure why. probably the lyric "nothing hurts anymore". its a double meaning for me. at the time nothing hurt anymore because i was to numb to feel the pain. I still have nerve damage. But now, those thoughts dont hurt anymore.

April 6, 9 pm.
The last hours of her birthday were coming to an end. The day had been nothing like she had expected, but still a day to remember with lots of love, time spent with family and friends, and memories to look back on. Mia’s parents had come by, as planned, during the afternoon, and seeing Logan actually keeping his promise, that he made ten years ago, had brought a small tear to her mom’s eyes. With Logan’s surprise-visit, plans had changed from going out for dinner to having a small barbecue-feast in the backyard of Mia’s house. Logan and Mia’s dad had been cooking and all had been happy and laughing around the table - although Logan and Ali hadn’t spoken a single word to each other all day.
Mia’s parents had just said their goodbyes, and with Ellie in a deep sleep from all the things happening through the day, Mia could finally sit down and reflect on the day. Ali was going home for the next few days - just to check up on some things - and Mia had offered Logan to stay for the next two days instead of finding a hotel in Bridgeport and then going back and forth tomorrow. He had told her that he would be going home to L.A. on Saturday morning, so it was only for a couple of nights.
Tumblr media
While Ali had been packing up her stuff and Logan cleaning the last few things in the kitchen, Mia had gone out to the patio and sat down on the patio couch. “Hey, you look tired, everything ok?” Ali closed the door behind her and took a seat next to Mia. “Yeah, I’m just.. tired, it’s been.. a day, you know?” Mia smiled slightly. “Are you sure you are ok with me going home? I can stay, you know?” Mia nodded, “it’s fine. I’m ok, I just need to go to bed I think”. Ali looked at Mia, “Did you talk to him? About.. why he is really here?”. Mia let out a sigh and snuggled her arms around her tucked up knees. “He just said that he wanted to be here for my birthday”. “And he didn’t say anything about the wedding?” “What do you mean? He is going home on Saturday morning, in time to attend the wedding” Mia looked at Ali with a raised eyebrow. “I’m  not saying anything, I just heard them arguing over the phone earlier”. “He is going home Saturday. OK?” Ali nodded, “I just.. I don’t want you to be too excited about him being here, because I know how sad it makes you to know that he is just going to leave again”. Mia looked at her friend, and then placed her hands in front of her face. “I know, and I know it is a bad idea to have him staying here… but… I.. it’s just…”, “I know. You don’t have to say it. I know”.
The two girls spent the next few minutes in silence next to each other. “You know I’m just a call away, right? Call me if there is anything, also if it is at 3 am, I’ll come back right away, OK?” Ali smiled and gave Mia a hug. “Thank you. I don’t know what I would do without you”, Mia smiled back. “Now, get those tears away from that pretty face and go to bed, missy. You need to get some of that energy back before the weekend, so go on, and I’ll see you on Saturday for your birthday party!” Ali laughed and went inside the house to get her things.
Tumblr media
Mia looked around the garden. The sky was a mixture of tones in blue, violet and pink colors, making everything look like something from a fairytale. The sound of the fire from the fire pit had a calming vibe, and in the distance a lonely bird sang his last tunes for the night. Mia leaned against one of the beams, taking a deep breath to let everything in …
Tumblr media
“Are you alright?” Logan’s voice came out of nowhere and almost made Mia jump on the spot. “Oh my… You startled me! I didn’t hear you come out!” “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you” Logan smiled and walked up next to her, “You didn’t answer my question though”. Mia looked at him, then back on the flames without saying anything. “I can leave if you want? I don’t mind finding a hotel if that’s better”, Logan looked at her. “No. You don’t have to leave. I want you to stay. I… it’s… I really liked seeing you with Ellie today. And my parents were really happy to see you too”, Mia smiled a little. “It was really nice to see them as well. They are looking like they are doing great by the way”, Logan said and smiled. “It’s freezing out here, aren’t you getting cold? No wait, you are already cold”, he said and placed his arm around her shoulders, “come on, let’s go back inside. I still have to give you your birthday gift”. Mia let out a small laugh, which made Logan smile and look directly at her face, “hey, why are you crying?” “I’m not, it’s nothing. Let’s go in…” “No, wait a second. What’s wrong?” Logan stood in front of her, not letting her pass him. “It’s nothing, can we just drop it?” Mia looked up at him, then down on her feet. She was getting cold. “Fine, but..”, “What?”. Logan smiled and wrapped his arms around her, “I’m sorry. I know I’m not making it easy for you, being here and..” Mia rested her head against his shoulder, “stop, please”. “I’m sorry, I just… really missed you”.

Baby Henry first gets his timeline powers
Warning for hospitals!!
Henry’s earliest memories were of being surrounded by white walls.
A sickly child, always going in and out of the hospital as doctors frantically tried to treat something that could kill someone so small. He was too young back then to understand the concept of death, just knew that kids from his busy foster home would bring him get well soon cards and ask to take his things if he never came home.
It was incredibly boring. The only thing he could really do was watch the tv that flashed with radio static every few minutes. And sometimes Henry couldn’t help but wonder, if he never left this place, what would his life have been like? A few years with a foster family that never gave him the time of day, followed by years seeing the same scenery, taking painful experimental treatments and surgeries that he didn’t know would work?
More than ‘death’, that bugged him. The idea that he’d never amount to anything, never have anything that was truly his. He’d ‘die’ sad and alone, not even having a taste of life.
It was 9:23 when it happened. He was laying in bed, busying himself with trying to draw on some paper through all the IVs stuck in his hand, when he got a sudden, crushing pain in his chest. It overwhelmed him so entirely that he couldn’t think, couldn’t even try to scream. Small black spots filled his vision, and he briefly called out for help in a shrill voice before the blackness completely took over.
When he opened his eyes, the clock read 9:20.
It took Henry a second to gather himself from what he could only assume was a horrific dream. Was that what ‘death’ felt like? If so, he never wanted to feel it again.
As the noise of the clock ticking in a silent room filled his ears, he looked back to his piece of paper and was struck for a moment with the absurdity of it. He’d been drawing an elephant in his dream. And on the paper was an elephant too, though it was missing its legs. It must have made its way into his dreams… or something like that. Henry gently poked his chest a couple times, testing to make sure that nothing hurt. It didn’t hurt, but there was a certain tightness…
He went back to his paper. He could tell the nurse whenever it was time for an hourly checkup. As he added a tail to the elephant, he had a brief feeling of dread before the pressure burst into severe pain.
Frick, his dream was coming true. He reached frantically for the button to call the nurse, as he struggled to breathe and things went black again. The clock seemed to taunt him, 9:23 again, several minutes before anyone would be coming. Small hands slammed into the side of the bed, trying with all their might as they shook. Despite how much he was trying, his body grew weaker and weaker until it all went dark.
Henry sat up in bed just a moment later, hand instinctively slamming the side of the bed full force. This time, his hand hit the call nurse button, he could hear the sound from down the hallway.
It was 9:20, and there was a building pressure in his chest.
By the time he was even close to calm, a nurse was beside him. She was his favorite nurse, sneaking him shiny coins and never dismissing how he felt.
“What’s wrong, Henry? Do you need to use the bathroom?”
He tried to slow his breathing. It was 9:21.
Henry didn’t exactly feel up for talking, so he signed at her, “My chest hurts.”
She looked at one of the many displays that he didn’t know how to read. “Your heart is a bit fast… How about I go call one of the doctors and see if they can get you some medicine?”
He shook his head. It was 9:22.
“Really hurts. Gonna die.” Death seemed so unclear just a moment ago, but now feeling how his very being had slipped away, he couldn’t stand the thought of being alone.
“Ok, ok, I’ll get someone else to call. You don’t need to worry. On a scale of 1-10, how bad is it?”
The clock’s second hand got closer and closer to the top, and despite it only being a 5 at most, Henry couldn’t stop shaking. He managed to hold up 5 fingers. “Hard to breathe.”
For once, he saw genuine worry on her face. That scared the boy even more than the ticking clock. “I’ll be right back, ok?”
He was about to sign a wish for her to stay, when it burst once again. It felt as though his ribs were cracking open, trying to escape his body. The nurse’s voice echoed in his ears, though he couldn’t hear what she was saying. Hands pressed on his hurting chest, but then everything went dark.
This time when he opened his eyes, it was 11:41. He felt groggier than ever, and his body was telling him he’d been hit by a car.
“Thank goodness you’re alright.”
As Henry’s vision focused, he realized quite a few people were standing over his hospital bed, including the kind nurse. His hands wouldn’t quite respond to his attempts to move them, so he reluctantly opened his mouth.
“What’s…?”
Voices rushed at him, saying a lot of words he couldn’t understand. He recognized something about side effects, and his heart, and that he was very lucky to be alive. He didn’t know how to say that, for a while, he was certain he was dead.
After asking a few questions, Henry was left alone again with the sound of the ticking clock.
How… odd.

Just an Ordinary Life: Chapter One: A Planned Escape
Tw: Swearing, Dehumanization. WC: 1,496
Quick Disclaimer: This fic is relatively confusing at the beginning, but don't worry, you'll hopefully be able to connect the dots at the end (Psst, Also, send me an ask if you're still confused, I'll gladly answer any questions!)
Tommy opened his eyes, ah, Summer Vacation. It was always the greatest time to be alive. He got up and out of bed, grabbing his phone and sending a quick DM to Tubbo that he’d meet him at Fort Big in a bit. He quickly put on his standard Red and White Shirt, heading downstairs to eat whatever Breakfast Phil had prepared for him. He made sure to be mindful of his tail however, didn’t want to get that stuck in a door again. “Philll? Did you make breakfast yet?” He called out as he took a seat at the dining table. “Yea, just one-second mate!” Came the voice of his father, the last remaining Elder in the village. Soon after he emerged from the kitchen with a plate full of pancakes, just enough for both him and Tom. “Here ya go, mate.” He said as he placed a plate of ‘em in front of him.
He finished them up fairly quickly, scarfing ‘em down so that he could go hang out with Tubbo sooner. “Right then, I’m going to hang out with Tubbo now!” He shouted to Phil as he put his shoes on at the front door, “Ok, just be back for Dinner!” “I know Dad!” He rushed out the door, heading down the sidewalk, Ranboo had just sent a message to their Group-chat together.
Ranboob:I wish I could be there today at 9:36
Tubbee:Don’t worry about it Boo, we don’t mind-
Ranboo didn’t live in their Village, he lived in some other random-ass place in Soot knows where. One day Tommy and Tubs would meet him, Tom would make sure of that. After passing several cars, buildings, and other borrowers, he finally reached Fort Big after going through the forest for a bit. He entered the makeshift Fort that he and Tubs had made years ago, and settled down on a pillow he'd sewn back when he thought he could. He sent a message to the Chat asking where the fuck Tubs was, and thankfully the dick was almost here. Tommy would've been giddy with excitement if Tubbo hadn't been practically jumping up and down when he'd suggested the idea, that they could go over The Wall. The Wall was the thing that kept all the Borrowers inside, supposedly, there was something out there that was so dangerous, that the Elders from a few decades ago decided was enough to separate Borrower-Kind, and stay in secluded walled-off villages.
Tommy thought it was bullshit, who knows what kinda cool shit they could find out there? Tubbo suddenly came into the Fort, interrupting Tom's train of thought. "Hey Big Man, sooooo, when are we gonna go?" Tubbo asked with a grin as he sat down. "I told you, Punz was gonna make the distraction tomorrow at 11:30 AM on the dot, I paid a lot of allowances for that Prick to agree..." Tubbo frowned slightly, "Isn't he part of Dream's gang?" He asked, taking out a sketchbook and beginning to absentmindedly doodle. "Yeah, but he'll do anything for the right price." Tubbo looked back up at him. "So, what should we do for the rest of the day?" He asked, slightly tilting his head, "Well, do we got everything?" Tom asked, already getting up to leave.
“Hmm, yeh, I’ve got my Big-Ass-Hammer-“ He chuckled slightly at that as he left the Fort, waiting for Tubs to follow. They walked through the forest, it wasn’t super big, but it was big enough for someone to not be found for a while. The Duo eventually came across their two make-shift swords that they’d made a year back, they looked at each other, knowing instantly what the other was thinking as they grabbed the play-swords and started battling. The duo battle for a long while, until eventually, Tomathy Inside Of It won the day! Tubs fell to the ground, laughing as Tommy tackled him, to which Tom held the play-sword to his throat and said in a mock voice, “Bye-Bye Bee Boi!” The two laughed for a bit before Tubbo got up and took on a more serious tone. “My arm does hurt a little, think I should get it checked out?”
“Hm, it’ll be fine I’m sure, makes sense though that I’d inflict that as The Biggest Man around!” He proclaimed as they continued walking, Play-Swords left abandoned. He checked his phone, damn it was already an hour past Lunch. “Where should we go Tubs?” He asked as they emerged onto the sidewalk of a street, around them was an apartment complex, a McBorrowers, a Chick-Fil-A, and one of those malls that all those weird Teen Girls went to. Tubbo thought for a moment, tail idly swinging in the wind. “We don’t have that much money on us, and I don’t really wanna go home yet…” His dad was probably drunk, so Tommy understood why he wouldn’t want to go. “Can we just have some McBorrowers?” He nodded his head in response as they crossed the street and went inside.
After a cheap as hell meal, they vibed near the edge of the wall that they’d break through come tomorrow. They didn’t do much, just plan out what was going to happen, the spot on the wall that was weakest that Tubs was gonna smash through, y’know, the usual. He checked his phone, shit, it was getting late. “Tuuubbbs? It’s about time for me to go home, Phil will take the piss out of me if I’m not back before dark-“ He told Tubbo, getting up from his position next to the Wall. “K sounds good Big Man.” He responded from a tree that he’d climbed to sketch a bee. “Bye Tubs! See you tomorrow-“ He began to walk home, walking at a fairly quick pace with how fast it was becoming dark.
He trusted Tubbo to get back home, so he didn’t worry too much about him. He entered his and Phil’s apartment, and emerged into the living room, he could smell something coming from the kitchen, which he then saw was a plate with Meat from the Church of Soot. It was an odd thing, the Church. Every once in a while, food just sorta appears outside of it, which people claim to come from Soot, who was some sort of Deity or some shit. He didn’t really believe in that sort of thing, but there wasn’t really another way for food to magically appear like that. That’s just kinda the way it’s always been, but he was hungry, so he took the plate that was awaiting him, and read the note on the fridge.
“Hey, Toms!” The note read, “Sorry I can’t be here, I got called in to go do some work for the President, and as such, I’ll be back at around Midnight.” Tommy frowned, that was odd, his Dad had been going out more and more for ‘work’ late at night recently. Tommy suspected it wasn’t actually that, but to be fair, as Phil is the only living Elder who was alive back when the Walls went up, it made a tiny bit of sense. But the way Phil treated it when Tommy was around to witness it made him think he was seeing someone. Eh, he didn’t give that much of a shit anyway, as he downed the food and got ready for bed, he thought excitedly about what he and Tubbo were gonna do once they were outside. First thing, after exploring, they were gonna find Ranboo and figure out where he lived, after exploring of course. Eventually, his eyes drifted shut, his tail going slack as he slept…
Wilbur stared through one of the many cameras around the Borrower Colony of L’Manburg. He didn’t know why he enjoyed watching the small creatures, there was just something so interesting about them that almost seemed human. It fascinated him to no end, and evidently, it had fascinated his father and grandfather as they’d been the ones to suggest keeping the pathetic creatures alive when they could’ve gone extinct. He’d especially grown to have a small affection for this one Blonde who he’d seen wander through the city, and even disappear into the forest to do XD knows what. He looked down at his clipboard, ah, Kristin was supposed to be there at the Colony right now, he was glad that she’d been wanting to look after them, took a lot of responsibility off his shoulders.
He started packing up his shit, through one of the cameras he could see the Blonde getting ready to sleep through one of the windows. He sometimes thought about going and taking him home, but it’d be way too dangerous outside the walls for such a smol animal. He left the room, flicking the lights and screens off. He wondered what had the Blonde so excited, it’s a real shame that the camera can’t pick up sound, not that he’d be able to speak English…

Author notes: I've wanted to explore these themes for a quite a while. It wasn't until now I found a proper channel to try it. The theme is painful to me personally, yet I wanted to write this exactly because of that.
The story is finished. Tears were shed when posting the last chapter. There will be more Billy, Steve and Emma in the future 💜💜💜
::::::::::
Billy hadn't missed Hawkins a bit since he and Steve had moved to San Francisco almost eight years ago. Now he had been driving the rental car towards it all the way from Indianapolis where they had flown to with Steve. Even though this time he had chosen to go there himself, when the welcome sign of the city was finally ahead, he had thought for a moment that he'd just turn the car around. The city held so many bad memories that he actually had to remind himself that they were there for a celebration, not for opening all old wounds.
"Steve, we're here," he said nudging Steve's shoulder. Steve woke up groaning and stretched his neck while fixing his position in the seat. Billy glanced at him. "You got something there, babe," he said chuckling and pointed to his own chin. "Drool." Steve wiped his chin yawning. He looked at the quiet early morning scenery passing by as they approached their destination. "Nothing's changed." "It's so strange to be back here," Billy said and opened the window for he finally was able to smoke without having to worry about waking Steve up with it. "Some houses were apparently actually painted few years after we left, can you believe? Oh, and they built a new spire to the church some years ago. Talk about development!" Billy laughed a hearty laugh, and Steve couldn't help but to grin. He loved to hear Billy laugh. When he had started to laugh more freely, after he had started to understand that all feelings were OK to show, Steve had learned that Billy's laughter came all the way from his belly, and it always bubbled in the air for a gorgeous moment. Steve tried to make him laugh as often as possible. "When I laugh at your worse material I really must be tired," Billy said glancing at Steve, smiling, and taking a drag of the smoke. "Mom said everything is ready in our old room, so you'll get at least few hours of sleep before we have to be at Nancy's." "Are they gone again?" Billy asked when he heard the flat tone on Steve's voice. "Yeah. What else is new? At least we have the house to ourselves." "I thought they were supposed to be home." "This is one of those things that never change in Hawkins: them being unreliable."
Some time later Billy parked the car on the Harrington's driveway. He stepped out and looked around while Steve took their bags from the trunk. "I didn't remember how quiet it can be here. No wonder the neighbors were pissed off every time I left here with the Camaro around this time." "Yeah, it was always a drag for my parents to try to handle it,” Steve said smiling, and walked to the door, opening it. They went directly to their old room, the one above the garage. It too, along with the whole house, looked like it hadn't changed a bit. "Does nothing really ever change here?" Billy asked. "I don't think so. In good and in bad," Steve replied and set their bags on the bed. "Do you want something to eat? I'm starving." "I'll have another smoke and hit the bed," Billy replied lighting a cigarette. He opened the window and sat down on the floor below it.
Steve looked at him from the door and had a déjà vu. It was the day when he brought Billy and his meager belongings to the room for the first time. Billy's arm had been still in a cast after it had been operated. He had still had some bruises left from Neil's very last beating, the one he did jail time for, and he had looked worn from being in the hospital and having to shower there without his beloved hair products and whatnots. He had sat right there, on the very same spot where he was now sitting, and smoking his very first smoke finally away from Neil's reach. Now, too, he looked a bit weary and tired. But everything else was different. The long blonde hair bleached by the sun fell over his shoulders and partly covering his face, and his blue eyes examined the nails on the hand that had been operated, now as good as new. The black Metallica t-shirt hugged his torso in a way that made Steve have all kinds of indecent thoughts. This Billy wasn’t anymore the same fragile boy who he had been back then. He wasn’t healed for sure, but he was getting better. What he definitely was, was a lot happier. And Steve loved him more than anything.
Billy caught Steve looking at him from the door. Steve had the goofy grin that meant that he was thinking probably with his crotch rather than his pretty head. Billy pulled his hair away from his face with his hand and smiled licking his lower lip. Steve woke up from whatever reverie he had been in, grinning, and Billy winked at him. "I thought you were starving, as in need of sustenance, not starving the other way."
Steve shook his head chuckling and started towards the kitchen. It felt good to have Billy with him. He felt that Billy had missed so much over the years when he hadn't joined him, the kids' graduation parties and Nancy's wedding. Billy just had never wanted to come with him, and he never forced Billy to do anything he didn't want to. Steve couldn't blame him. The good memories Billy had of Hawkins were far and between.
Billy wasn't sure if he'd manage to sleep at all. He hadn't dared to tell Steve the real reason why he had wanted to come this time with him.
The last few years he had been volunteering in giving surfing lessons to kids in foster care. He could see the impact he had on those kids, the difference his time and undivided attention did, even when it was just twice a month. After careful consideration he had decided that he wanted to give more. He wanted to give his time and undivided attention to someone who didn't have anyone - full time. And he didn’t want just one. Though it wasn’t as simple as that though, not to them or him. For them – as a gay couple, adoption would be difficult. For him - he was terrified of how he would manage being a dad. He had no skills in how to nurture another life the best way possible. All he had to draw from was something he didn’t want anyone else to go through. But he had Steve, who was mother-like like no one else he’d ever met. No matter how he put it, Steve was the reason he had been able to heal, and he was forever grateful for it. Steve always made sure he was doing well, and Billy tried to return it as much as he could. In which he sucked at times because of his temper and messed up experiences, but he was getting better at it. With Steve he just maybe could pull it through. But it was still just a dream that he had barely dared to confess to himself. So, here he was, back in Hawkins, because Nancy’s baby’s christening was the closest thing he could imagine having a real idea how it might feel, to have a child, and if it really was what he wanted.
When he finally got to bed, sleep remained thin throughout the five hours he managed to stay in, and he mostly stared at the ceiling. Steve had his arm around him most of the time, which was comforting. Unlike him though, Steve slept.
Finally Billy decided to get up. Instead of a smoke, he took his running gear from his bag and went for a run. The day was sunny and it was getting warmer as the summer was right around the corner. Billy ran through the familiar streets and past all the houses that he, Steve and all the rest of the gang had spent so much time during the extra year it had taken for him to graduate. Now things were different. Almost all of the kids were somewhere else studying, including Max. But he really hoped that he’d meet at least some of them today.

Nobody likes you when you’re 23
Whelp, not only has it been a month since Dawud moved to San Myshuno, it’s also his 23rd birthday. He wasn’t planning on doing anything special, especially since it fell on a Thursday, but then Rudi insisted on going to a karaoke bar to celebrate these two occasions. Which Dawud wasn’t that looking forward to, especially since he doesn’t drink and he can’t sing, but whatever, he had nothing better to do that night.
Dawud: 23...Like...I know I’m not old, but still impressive I made it to 23 and without achieving anything. Charlie: Eh, at least you made it to 23. Meanwhile, call me a clothing store with a target audience of teenage girls, cause I’m forever 21. Daniele: And at least you became a vampire after becoming old enough to drink. Look at the bright side! Charlie: Wait a minute, aren’t you yourself only 20? Daniele: Yeah but not only do the bartender doesn’t know that, but I’m from Italy. I’ve been drinking wine at every dinner time since I was like, 9. Like, most countries have it at 18, not my fault if this place is backward.
Dawud laid his head against the table, in a mild sense of despair (and also from how loud and bright everything was). He knows all thing considered, he’s still young, and his situation is not all that unusual amongst people his age nowadays, but still. That’s not where he was expecting his life to go when he was put in a gifted kids class, skipped a grade, and then graduated high school early at the top of his class. And here he is now, a college drop out working as a janitor and living in an overcrowded apartment. At least he knows how to drive, but he doesn’t have a car so what’s the point then?
Daniele: You already look wasted and you only took one sip of your drink. Dawud: Even funnier and/or sadder is that there’s no alcohol in there. It’s sparkling apple juice. I don’t drink for religious reasons. Daniele: You’re regularly having premarital sex with a vampire, two things frowned upon in pretty much every big religions, and you constantly walk around the house half-naked even though you’re “insecure”. We both know you’re not that religious. Dawud: Clothes are uncomfortable and I still don’t wanna drink ok. Let me live. Akva: It’s ok, I’m not drinking either. Like, not only am I 19 but I’m also, you know, pregnant. Daniele: Oh so you’re keeping it? Damn, what am I supposed to do with the five miscarriage potions I made then? Charlie: I don’t think we would have needed that many potion anyway. Unless Kino is right and everyone in this house is somehow “with child”. Daniele: Yeah, Dawud, don’t feel too bad about what Kino said the other day. Like, they pretty much asked me the same thing when we first met, and when I said no they told me “but you have such beautiful child-birthing hips”. This was a little over a year ago and it still haunts me.
Akva took a sip of her cherry soda, and then confirmed that yes, she decided to keep it. Though she’s not really sure if she wants to raise the baby or put it for adoption. All of this because she managed to guilt trip herself by watching videos made by women with fertility issues, which might be the worst reason imaginable to have a baby, but at this point there was nothing to do. Her mind was made. Hopefully, this won’t be a mistake. After all, better to regret not having a child than regret having one.
Dawud: “The doctor said my mom should have had an abortion”. Charlie: Oh no, really? That’s kinda sad. Dawud: It’s from a song. I like early 2000s pop-punk. Makes me nostalgic even though I was just a toddler back then.
Rudi, who had just left the bathroom, heard this, and it gave them an idea. The friends were at a karaoke bar after all, and Rudi wanted to sing. Dawud and Charlie sat together, in front of the karaoke machine, next to Kino who was already watching other people’s performance. Charlie then sat on him, and kissed him, which he reciprocate with joy. It had been a few weeks already, but the young man still felt in awe over the fact that he kinda has a girlfriend now, even though they were both a bit hesitant to make this official. They literally met only a month ago after all.
Kino: Get a room. Rudi: Ok everyone, so since today my dear friend Dawud is turning 23, I’ve decided to sing for him What’s My Age Again by blink-182.
To show his approval, Dawud gave them a thumbs up. He was too busy shoving his tongue down Charlie’s throat to give a verbal sign. And as Rudi began to sing, he kept on doing that, while Kino sat there mildly uncomfortable.

Title: The Misfits
Fandom: Stranger Things
Pairing: Eddie x Billy, Stonathan
Rating: Teen
Summary: Steve was just looking for a quiet evening to contemplate his life when he winds up being pulled into “The Misfits” a group formed of Eddie, Billy, Jonathan, Patrick and Chrissy and what do they all have in common, they face or faced emotional and physical abuse at home.
Maybe some healing and a safe place to talk is what Steve needs to find himself
Chapter 1: Walking in the Moonlight
it had been ages since Steve Harrington had walked the quiet night streets of Hawkins, Indiana. The last time he did he was just starting High School and earning the title of “King of Hawkins High”. He walked the streets that first night of High School lecturing himself on how he had to show the others he was boss.
Since then he had been too busy or too frightened to walk the streets at night. If he was honest with himself he was terrified right then due to the ever-dangerous presence of Demogorgans, Demodogs, and Mind Flayers.
Taking a deep breath he sighed. That night many moons ago was to get him ready to be a king, tonight's journey was to say goodbye to his royal crown. Between losing the crown to Billy Hargrove, losing Nancy to Jonathan, saving Will from a Mind Flayer, taking down a horrible lab, getting his ass kicked by Billy, and then graduating, Steve had a crapass senior year.
On top of all this, his dad was forcing him to get a job since his grades were terrible and he couldn't get into college.
Sighing, Steve looked up at the night sky. The stars were shining brightly even at 9 pm. That was one of the best perks of living in a small town, you could always see the stars on clear nights.
Steve was about to head back when he heard someone singing. It was a male voice accompanied by a guitar.
Curious, he followed the music. He came to the sign for Forest Hills Trailer Park. He didn't see anyone until his eyes landed upon two people who he didn't think would ever coexist, Billy Hargrove and Eddie Munson.
Eddie was playing the guitar while Billy had his head resting on his lap singing. And if that wasn't the strangest thing ever, Chrissy Cunningham, a cheerleader, came out of the trailer with drinks.
“Things really have gone upside down,” Steve thought to himself and started to turn back when a familiar voice said in a mocking tone “is that you Harrington”?
“Damn,” Steve thought to himself and decided to just stay quiet and hope he goes back to what he was doing, but like the rest of his life, shit didn't work out.
“Hey big boy it's ok, we are all friends here,” Eddie said and Steve knew he wasn't getting away.
Heading out to the open he waved at the three staring at him.
Billy who normally would be in his face recoiled and kept close to Eddie. Wrapping his arms around the scared man in front of him Eddie whispered something and Billy calmed down some.
Eddie got up and Chrissy went over and sat next to Billy and took his hand.
Steve watched in amazement until Eddie got to where he was standing.
“What's wrong with Billy” Steve asked genuinely worried.
Eddie looked back at Billy who was doing some calming exercises with Chrissy, smiled and turned back to Steve with a serious look he had never seen on Eddy before.
“Steve, this is what his dad did to him when he found out what happened that night at the cabin. He literally beat the crap out of Billy and then kicked him out.
I found him freezing in his car near the old train tracks with nothing to eat. He had been out there for two days before I found him.
It's been two weeks since he's been in Wayne's care and no one has come looking for him at all, not even his sister.
She has every right to be mad but not even caring if he is alright is sad.
He gets scared every time my uncle just slightly raises his voice. Thankfully though Wayne doesn't do that too often and we have gotten close and with Chrissy and Jason's help, we have been able to get him this far.
This right here is our little band of misfits, The Left Behind. That's our band name too. I am lead guitar, Billy is lead singer, Patrick is on keyboards and Jonathan is on drums.
Steve, would you like to be put, bassist? I've heard you play and Nancy says your parents just leave you alone for long periods.
We could use your help, Steve. Will you join the misfits?” Eddie asked, giving Steve his pouty face.
Steve growled and nodded. He couldn't resist Eddies poity face, no one could.
Suddenly the sound of a dish breaking and Wayne swearing and cursing loudly could be heard lit where they were.
Eddie's complexion went pale and he dashed back to the trailer and what Steve saw broke his heart.
Billy was cowering behind Chrissy and Wayne was apologizing and promising Billy he would never hurt him.
But every time Wayne took a step forward Billy buried his face deeper into Chrissy’s back sobbing and begging him not to hurt him.
Eddie ran over and spinning him around from behind cupped the 17yr olds face like a hurt child and said in a soft voice “you're safe now Billy. No one will hurt you. Eddie’s here to promise you that Wayne was just upset that he got cut by the broken dish and not mad at Billy at all. I love you Billy Bear”.
With that, he placed a soft but sensual kiss on Billy's mouth causing the blonde to return to a regular breathing pattern but still jumpy.
Eddie helped Billy up and took him over to Wayne who gave him a cautious hug in which Billy accepted. “I'm so sorry Billy, I will try to keep calm next time because I don't like you sad,” Wayne said as he wiped the tears from Billy's face.
Billy nodded and followed Wayne and Chrissy inside.
Eddie went back to Steve, “why don't you come with Jon tomorrow and we shall see how we all sound. Oh and please don't tell anyone Billy is here, we don't want any chance of his dad showing up” Eddie said, clapping Steve on the back.
“Even if Max asks” Steve asked in a low voice so Billy couldn't hear. “I think seeing Max will help but she has to want to come” Eddie replied with a touch of venom to his voice.
Steve nodded and headed back to his car with one last wave to Eddie.
“Why me”? Steve said remembering he had his first shift at Scoops Ahoy in less than 9 hrs.
He got in his car and headed home not sure what the hell he just signed up for.

-PLEASE DONT MOCK ME I AM HAVING HORRIBLE BABY FEVER AND THIS IS HOW I GET IT OUT OF ME...-
Clem turned to look at Irene, her heart was pounding and she hardly could breathe.
"What's wrong my dear?you look sick, did you catch the stomach bug?"
"Something similar to that...I could say that"
Irene stared at the ginger woman before Clem ran off toward the bathroom, for the past two days she mostly lived with hear head in a trash can or toilet. She knew exactly what was happening,it hadn't been her first rodeo. She just didn't know how she would tell anyone.
Irene patted Clem on the back and held up her hair, she was convinced Clem had a stomach bug. Clem was sweating and weak, she wanted to lie down in her bed again all day.
Irene walked her over to it before feeling her forehead. Odd..she hadn't been running a temperature at all.
Clem started to bawl before she was embraced by Irene, who still assumed she was sick. And then finally Clem said what she needed to say with tears in her eyes. She is pregnant.
Irene embraced her and promised to not tell Gabe. But per usual he has a way of showing up when people mention him.
"Hey tiny what's wrong?why ya cryin?" Gabe walked over to her and put his hand on her cheek.
She had gone completely non verbal and pulled out a pen and wrote on her palm, "I'm pregnant"
Gabe stared at her palm for a moment and held her hands together. In a softer voice than usual he said. "Hey,hey look at me?it's ok I'm not mad at you." Gabe lifted her up and placed her on his lap. "Can we get a few moments alone please mama?" Irene left the room respecting their wishes for privacy.
"I thought you always wanted a kid pollita?what's bothering you?"
Clementine pulled her face out of his shirt and took a few deep breaths. "You have gotten me pregnant before,I just miscarried and never told you,I'm scared Gabe." She buried herself right back into his neck,he patted her back.
"Do you wanna tell me when you miscarried?"
"About 2 years ago,I didn't wanna tell you cause I was afraid you'd think I cheated,cause yknow."
"Look Clemmie, neither of us are exactly "human", I wouldn't be shocked about this honestly. But I'm here for ya ok?" He pecked her head with as many kisses as possible before she calmed down.
"So how'd you find out?I'm really interested!"
With a few sniffles she said "Julie told me this morning,I had a regular appointment to check rads and stuff and she gave me the news."
"How far along are you?"
"Around a month, funny enough she thinks it happened on your birthday."
"HEY I DESERVED THAT BIRTHDAY GIFT!!!!!!!!!" He chuckled at the humor of it,it was true that they had done some things that day to celebrate.
"So wanna keep the baby?either way you know I'll be ok with it,afterall I'm not the one who has to carry it for 9 months"
"I think I do,last time I miscarried because a lack of vitamins in me."
"Well you're in luck, yknow what Julie has been working on?MULTIVITAMINS. you eat these little candies and they keep you alive..."
Clem snickered at him,she knew that sometimes he'd intentionally say things that made him sound stupid because she thought it was cute and funny. He didn't know she knew though, she wanted it to keep going on like this.
As a few months past it finally really started hitting her,she had zero clue on how to be a mom. And Gabe had no clue on how to be a dad.
Gabe sat down next to Bandit who was holding Leo,Bandit was reading a book and somehow multitasking this.
"Bandit how do you feed a baby?"
The shorter and older man stared at him for a second, and then he could tell Gabe was dead serious.
"Oh man tell me what you did......"
Gabe had his tail between his legs and he was practically whining. "...im gonna be a dad..?"
Bandits jaw dropped. Not like he w was s too shocked or anything, they had talked about wanting kids before. He just didn't expect it to be when Gabe and Clem are this young.
"Ok uhm...well if you're here for help I can tell you all I know?"
"PLEASE." He ran around in circles, that was hard.
"Well if you want to learn take him........." Bandit handed Gabe Leo,he was awfully small and a bit cranky.
"What do I do with himmmmm.....?"
"Yknow rock him?He's tired"
Gabe took that way too literally, he put some rocks on his chest. But it did work oddly enough.
"Dude.......I ment like yknow move him back and forth while cradling him?"
"Ooohh.........."
"How far along is she anyways?"
"About..6 months"
"IN THE LORD'S NAME,GOOD GOD GABE WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME EARLIER IM GONNA BE A UNCLE?"Even his cursing was in Christian....
"I GOT TOO EXITED."
Clem looked at Irene,Irene was trying to guess how heavy this kid is gonna be. She had her face and clems stomach and hands on both sides of it.
"Well you don't have much give in your stomach...so I'm sayinggg 11 pounds?maybe more maybe less."
Clem snorted and said "GOOD GOD IRENE ARE YA TRYING TO KILL ME?"
Irene fell back onto the couch laughing. They had a lot in common honestly, they like plants and tinkering with things!!although Clem had to stop because of her habit of letting things explode.

Got You in My Sights
Chapter 9: Two Minutes More
"What's the matter?"
Kitsune asked, holding Jesse's hand as he sat on the couch. To say she was concerned was an understatement. She'd never seen Jesse cry before, so she was at a bit of a loss on what she should do.
Jesse didn't respond to her question. He just gripped more onto the woman's hands, his own hands shaking. His breathing was uneven, like he was having a panic attack. And although it was faint, Kitsune could see sweat dripping down his face- despite the fact that the room was well air-conditioned.
The young woman hummed in concern, frowning. She sat down beside him, rubbing his back. "I won't make you talk about it if you don't want to, but... Can you tell me what happened?" She asked softly.
Her friend sniffled a bit, leaning closely into her as he rested his head on her shoulder. "...I did something really, really bad..." He finally said.
As if Kitsune wasn't worried enough already, she certainly was now. What the hell did that mean? "What was it...?" She asked.
Jesse took a deep breath, trying to explain himself. "S... Seven years ago, I was apart of an experiment as a test subject. I-I don't know what the endgame of it was- I didn't stick around to find out... But... It hurt. Badly. So much so, that one day, I just completely snapped, and I..." He shook his head, hunching over with his face in his hands. "...I killed... so many people that day..."
Kitsune blinked, surprised by his confession. That was... a lot to process. But from the sounds of it, he had a reason for it. That's when the picture came to Kitsune's mind. The one where Jesse's eyes were a different color. "Does that... have anything to do with your eyes changing color?"
Had it not been for his own regret and intoxication, Jesse would've questioned how she knew as much. Instead, he nodded. "Y-Yes... I don't know what caused it, but I'm sure it ties into it..." He answered.
"I-I can still see the events in my dreams- everything. The blood, the corpses, the pain I felt... It's all there.." He shook his head again, latching onto Kitsune's side.
"Jesse..." The young woman mumbled, rubbing his back. "It's ok... I'm here..." She soothed, adjusting their position so she was hugging him properly.
"...You don't think any less of me? Even after I told you all that?" Her friend asked.
"No, of course not... It sounds to me you've been through hell- it'd be wrong of me to hold that against you." Kitsune responded. "Plus, you seem to really regret it now. I don't want to make you feel any worse." She added, running her hand through his hair.
Jesse was silent for a moment before burying into her shoulder, shaking. The redhead hummed, holding him close as he started to cry it out. "I've gotcha, it's ok..." She soothed.
Before too long, Jesse managed to calm down. "Feel better?" Kitsune asked, him nodding in return.
"Good, good... Do you want me to get you anything?" She asked.
Jesse was quiet for a moment before looking back at her, gripping her sleeve. "Can you... just stay here? With me?" He asked.
Kitsune blinked, a bit surprised. She quickly smiled though, chuckling. "Yeah, of course, Jess. I'll stay." She responded, giggling a bit as Jesse nestled into her.
"Thank you... You're the best..." He muttered, quickly falling asleep. He'd probably have a bit of a hangover tomorrow. Kitsune didn't mind too much. Besides, it wasn't like she could get up anyhow. She'd have to spend the night here.
But, in all honesty, she didn't mind in the slightest.

SUNA -
a few days ago you and suna got into a petty argument which led to the both of you sleeping with your backs against each other, and although you have sorted it out there was still a bit of awkward tension in the air. coincidentally that same afternoon during your lunch break you saw someone do this prank on tiktok.
to be honest you were hesitant, but then you remembered all the times your boyfriend has gotten you with his pranks, not to mention how it was the perfect time to do it because of the awkward tension after the fight. it was like...the universe wanted you to do it. after a few minutes of weighing out the pros and cons
you decided to just go through with it as “payback.” a few hours later suna comes home while you were sitting on the far edge of the couch. “y/n? im home” he says loud enough for you to hear as he makes his way to the living room “welcome home,” you said without even batting an eye at him
he already knows something's up, but he chooses to ignore it and sits down beside you ready to kiss you. dodging his kiss, you stood up and made your way to your shared bedroom, leaving a confused suna sitting on the couch replaying what had just happened in his mind.
while he was doing that you took this opportunity to set up your phone and hid it by the side table, moving very quickly and trying not to keep quiet. soon after you heard footsteps approaching and quickly sat down on the bed. “babe? are you ok?”
he asked with furrowed eyebrows - please you were trying so hard not to laugh - looking at him with your best poker face “suna we need to talk” eyes widening at the way you addressed him. “...yea we do,” he said with a deadpan while making his way closer to you. feeling uneasy because you did not expect that answer at all
you look at him trying to keep calm, even though your eyes were telling him otherwise. he took your silence as a sign to go on. “our relationship.. i think-” you cut him off, now standing up “stop. are you going to break up with me? it was a prank, i was pranking you. if this was about the fight a few day-”
cupping your cheeks and kissing you to shut you up as he saw the panic in your eyes. staring at him dumbfounded he looked at you “y/n i would never break up with you ok? especially not because of a stupid argument.” a bit relieved you sighed, then it hit you “wait so why did you say all that?”
“i saw you hiding the phone,” he said smirking as he pointed to the phone. hitting his chest playfully “ugh what the fuck rin, can you like stop ruining my pranks all the time” suna laughed “you’re just bad at pranks” you scoffed while he hugged you resting his forehead on yours “let’s take a nap pranking you is tiring.” slapping his chest once more you nod.
IWAIZUMI -
before getting into a relationship with iwaizumi you already knew how demanding his job can get, so you weren’t surprised when he started getting busier. leaving the house first thing in the morning and coming home late at night. during your day off, you and your friends decided to go to the mall to just shop and catch up with each other.
while you guys were eating brunch your friend started talking about the prank they pulled on their s/o. one thing led to another and now your friends are betting on whether you can successfully prank your boyfriend or not. you being you took the challenge and made a bet that you could prank him.
so as soon as you got home you started planning everything out. it was about 9 pm when you decided to call him. you call him once, no answer, you call again and was sent to voicemail. you sighed “damn..did i already fail?” sulking on the couch. on the other, during his water break, he checks his phone because hinata had mentioned that it was ringing earlier.
surprised and kind of worried that you called him not once, but two times he immediately calls you back. fidgeting with his fingers while he waits for you to pick up. hearing your phone ring you quickly grabbed it, sat up straight, and got into character. “hello...babe? is everything alright? sorry, i couldn’t pick up earlier.”
at this point you were debating whether you still wanted to go on with this prank. “i don't think this is working anymore.” you said in a monotone voice. iwaizumi was visibly panicking now “huh? y/n what do you mean? i'm coming home right now wait for me.” he said as he stood up.
“don't you still have work? just-” he cuts you off “no wait for me i’m going home right now.” before ending the call. iwaizumi frantically asks for permission to go home early and leaves the gym, quickly making his way home. to say you felt bad is an understatement, you could tell that he was panicked although he was hiding it.
realizing he’d be home soon you hid your phone that’s recording and waited. when he got home he quickly padded over to you “babe? what's wrong? what do you mean it's not working anymore?” you look at him then quickly move your gaze to the floor “...this relationship..” you murmured loud enough for him to hear
“what? are you breaking up with me?” when you heard his voice crack you looked up and regret even thinking of doing this stupid prank. he looked so hurt -you mentally smacked yourself- “wait no haji i'm sorry it was a prank, i would never break up with you. i love you so much,” you said voice laced with guilt hugging him tightly. “
allowing himself to be hugged “you dumbass, that's not a funny prank i left work 30 minutes early for you.” you can practically hear the pout in his voice. “i know, i know, i'm sorry i promise to make it up to you.” he scoffed before asking “hey...we’re ok right?” you just nod and give him a kiss. you ended up making him dinner and giving him back massages for a week.
SAKUSA -
sakusa had just come home from another tiring day of practice; as much as he loved his teammates he cannot understand how they’re so enthusiastic all the time. he trudged through the door craving your touch and maybe a hot shower. “love? im home” he said while he waited for you to come to him and give him a quick welcome home kiss
his face immediately turning into a frown when he didn’t hear any footsteps. truthfully you were bored and had nothing better to do so why not play a prank on your beloved boyfriend..although you quickly regret doing this when you see him walk into the living room with a frown. “im sorry my love, i promise to treat you later.”
you murmured to yourself before he took a seat beside you “love is anything wrong? i thought you were asleep..why didn’t you answer me?” he turned to you with a pout. “oh it's nothing, why don’t you go take a shower first then we can talk.” you said without even sparing him a glance.
now he knew something was off but decided to go shower anyways. once he finished he sat back down with you and looked at you expectantly. taking this as a cue to start “i think we should break up.” his eyes widened and you can see the panicked look in his eyes, he stayed quiet though.
so you continue “i just don’t think our relationship is working anymore.” you mentally slapped yourself at the pained look he gave you. “w-what why? did i do anything wrong?” at your silence a million thoughts were rushing through sakusa’s head like “is it because i did something wrong? are they tired of dealing with me? do they not love me anymore?”
you knew what kind of thoughts were going through his head, he didn’t have to say a word it was painted all over his face. holding his hand, he snapped out of his thoughts and looked you straight in the eyes waiting for you to say something. “omi im so sorry it was a prank, you’re an amazing boyfriend and i wouldn’t trade you for the world.”
he stayed quiet, you knew you took it too far so you go on “im sorry i shouldn’t have pranked you like that, i understand if you’re upset. but you need to know that i love you very much and that won't ever change.” he let out a breath he didn’t know he was holding as he slumped back into the covering his face. it was silent for a few minutes
“y/n that wasn’t a nice prank, you scared me for a second there.” he deadpanned “yes i know, but i'm really sorry...can i hug you?” sakusa’s expression softened as he went in to hug you “you know i was so tired today..” he sulked as you playfully rolled your eyes “i know im sorry my love. do you want me to start dinner?” he shrugged
“let's stay like this for a little while” he murmured the light tinting of the tips of his ears going unnoticed. “oh omi almost forgot,” you said a little too loudly before cupping his cheeks. he furrowed his brows but smiled softly when he felt your lips on his. just as you were about to start dinner he called out to you “oh and you’re doing all the dishes for a week!”
ATSUMU -
about a month ago atsumu had pulled the exact prank on you and posted it on tiktok thinking he was so funny and smart. to be fair he did get you good the prank was perfect, but he overlooked one thing.. and that’s how competitive you can get. you’ve planned this almost immediately after he got you.
you made plans to go out with him that evening about 2 weeks ago, considering the past 2 weeks have made him very busy; you knew he would be dismissed late on the time of your date which was necessary for your plan to take place. soon enough the day of the date came, and just like you expected he was late... 3 hours late to be exact
when he finally comes in he rushes towards you to apologize profusely, but as soon as you made eye contact you stood up and walked out of the restaurant. trying your best not to laugh when he comes after you looking like a lost puppy. “baby-” he started “miya we will talk later, kindly pay for the bill ill be in the car.”
you said firmly motioning him to go back in, you quickly get into the car and set up your phone. once he got in he tries to apologize again “baby look im sorry coach dismissed us later than expected, a really didn’t mean to be late.” you stayed quiet before speaking up “3 hours miya. i waited 3 hours for you, and you couldn’t even text that you’ll be late?”
you looked at him dead in the eyes “let's break up.” his mouth dropped at the words you just said, before he shows you his signature smirk “oh my god this is a prank isn’t it? because a got you last time? HAHAH quit joking around-” you stopped him “you think i’m joking? is this what our relationship is to you? a joke?”
“yer not joking? wait no it's not like that.” he said eyes widening. “we barely get to spend any time together nowadays, and we planned this date 2 weeks prior...and you think im joking?” you uttered pretending to be hurt (someone give y/n a grammy) at that atsumu’s heart dropped. “baby im sorry ok? a didn’t know you felt like this..”
you stared at the floor - trying not to laugh but atsumu doesn’t know that - prompting him to go on “please y/n, let's talk about this a love ya so much i promise to do better- are you crying? please don't cry.” he put his hand on your cheek slowly lifting your face to see him. at this point, you just burst out laughing. “HAHA I GOT YOU!”
you shout in between fits of giggles. atsumu literally stares at you with the most offended face “YA PETTY PRICK. I SHOULDA KNOWN” he sighs of relief though, because he’s gotten to the point where he couldn’t see a future without you. pulling out your phone from where it's hidden you wave it in front of his face.
“heh, you didn’t think i’d let you prank me without any consequences did you? i’m so smart i even asked your coach for your schedule!” you stated proudly. no matter how badly he wanted to stay mad he couldn’t because of the adorable smile you had on your face. you guys decided to actually eat dinner afterward. oh and the video went viral.
