Leveva’s face softened. “Very well. I will help, under one condition.”

“Yes, ma’am, anything!”

“No more hanging around here trying to court my students,” she demanded sharply.

“Yes! Of course. I will desist immediately.” Emmanelain saluted earnestly.

Leveva turned her back and pulled out her star globe. It twirled and sparkled marvellously for a few moments, then she pronounced, “Mizuki’s nameday is 26th Sun of the 2nd umbral moon.”

“That’s so soon!” exclaimed Emmannellain. “I must prepare! Thank you for your gracious assistance.” He bowed once again and hurried out of the guild as quickly as he had arrived.

“My gift seems a little late now,” Thancred commented with a playful droop of his shoulders.  Mizuki opened the thin box he handed her and found a tiny version of Aymeric’s sword Naegling.

“A letter opener!” She held it up to show Aymeric. “At this rate I’m going to end up with a little collection of you to take on journeys with me.” Aymeric blushed at her words.

“It doubles as a weapon if some people just don’t get the point,” Thancred assured her.

There you are, old girl!” They both jumped as Emmanellain bounded over to them, throwing his arm around Mizuki’s shoulders. “Such bold displays of affection,” he teased, looking between them both knowingly. “I’ve been looking for you everywhere! There’s something I must discuss with you and Francel. Come, come.” He started to usher Mizuki away. “My apologies, Ser Aymeric, I shall return my dear sister to you later,” he added with a coy smirk. Mizuki glanced around Emmanellain and mouthed Sorry . Aymeric waved disheartenedly, letting his hand fall sombrely to his side. 

Skin - Melodies of Life

Burning pain washed over her, then a cold numbing sensation as her form began to grow and twist into a much larger being. Her skin was now a bleached white with a shine like the marble of Vauthry’s palace in the sky, while her horns had grown far larger than before, forming a halo around her eyes. White tears still streamed down her face, but her robes twisted and flowed around her as she hovered in the air, the sleeves floating elegantly as she raised her hand to reveal long golden claws.

it's all good and the bit about not going after people wasn't aimed at you. I just felt the need to put that out there out of how often i see people attacking others within minutes of them saying something "wrong" (whether it be a misconstrued inside joke or something genuinely mean) like they'd been champing at the bit to have an excuse to bully someone.
