you've been having a rough week.

anything that could have gone wrong has happened and you were left feeling exhausted and drained. barely having the energy to even get upset. all you wanted to do was sink into your boyfriend's arms and cry your heart out.

but john had been gone for a few weeks now, and it felt like hell. 'course it's not like you blame him for being away, but you really wished he was here instead of wherever he was.

as you open the door to your apartment after your shift, you were already dreading the amount of kitchenware left in the sink. the pile had been steadily growing little by little and you could only heave a sigh.

the sight that greets you instead, is john price gently wiping the wet mug he had recently scrubbed with a dry towel. your breath was stuck in your throat, you could barely remember turning around and locking the door before running straight into his arms.

"hi, sweetheart." his big arms immediately engulf you in warmth, hearing his soft voice cooing internally melting you into a puddle. before he could say anything more, you break into tears.

not the sniffles kind, the wet, sobbing kind. you grip his shirt tightly as you sob into his shirt, all the sadness and exhaustion rolling from you in waves.

john said nothing, opting to hug you tighter and kissing the top of your head.

"i'm here love, i'm here." his words make you cry even more, having missed him tremendously. you don't even know how you eventually ended up on the bed, head tucked towards his chest as he continues to caress you soothingly.

you had one of the best sleeps of your life that night. and an even better morning when you wake up to the smell of breakfast and his kisses peppering your face.

I didn't see anyone talking about it (probably cuz it's obvious bUT EVEN SO), but the contrast between Leona and Malleus.

Leona longs for the throne, it's something he craves. His throne is comfortable and warm, made of wood, with cushions and fabrics in warm colors for decoration. The sun is shining behind him, and there's flames in front of him. He's smiling, it's a position of power he likes to be in.

Malleus is on the throne not because he wants to, but because of duty, he must be there. His throne is hard and cold, carved entirely out of stone, with no visible decorations, likely to be quite uncomfortable. The only illumination is the dim light of the moon. All colors are in cool tones. He doesn't smile, and instead has an impassive expression.

And it turns out that neither of them can get what they want, because their positions are reversed.

imagine you're a tiny (let's say around the 10cm/4in tall)

you have a regular sized friend that you live with, you try your best to help out around the house despite your size not allowing you to do much.

much of your role is being there for emotional support, you tend to sit down next to your friend whenever they're having a rough day to talk to them and cheer them up a bit.

one day you notice they seem to be really down, getting back home from work only to go directly to bed.

you, worried about them, decide to go after them and climb up the bed to have a talk with them like you always do, but just as you're about to ask what's wrong...

they grab you.

they hold you by their fingertips and pull you closer, putting you on their chest and telling you they could really use a hug.

as you lay on their very soft chest, covered by their equally soft hands... you can feel their heartbeat pounding like crazy, with them clearly not having a good time. you assure them everything's going to be alright, after which they seem to calm down a bit and their heartbeat steadies.

you ask if they want you to stay there a little longer, to which they happily agree while giving you a soft smile.

Scar feels like he'd love cuddles but only if it's certain people. Here's who I think he'd love to cuddle:

Cub. Cub is big and soft and warm. He's like a pillow to scar.

Stress. Similar to cub- soft and warm. Perfect for cuddles. And she loves cuddles too. Iskall won't let her cuddle him very much but scar is the fellow cuddler on the server.

Mumbo. Mumbo is a stick and Scar can easily wrap himself around the man. Extra tight cuddles and hugs.

Gem. Gem loves being the big spoon and Scar loves how warm she runs. She's like his personal back warmer.

Skizz. Skizz is just a very comforting presence. Scar likes that.

Bonus list of people he won't touch with a ten foot pole:

Grian. That man kicks in his sleep. Scar will not go through that again.

Xisuma. He won't take off that armor for anything. You'd get bruises everywhere if you tried to cuddle him.

Joel. He won't shut up about Etho and how obsessed etho is with him.
