But I couldn't find a thing when I googled?? Do you remember anything like this or is it just a false memory??? Sorry to bother, you're the closest thing to a rayllum scholar this fandom has got ^^;

So I tracked down two metas regarding the drawings in 2x07 (one here about how the drawings indicate differences in how Callum views Rayla vs Claudia) and one here, which describes the foreshadowing/changing of feelings — which is actually mine, funnily enough! I don't remember it ever being reposted anywhere like instagram (or crew interaction) but it might've happened on another platform!

The only time I remember the Rayllum fandom going nuts over a crew post, specifically (rather than just canon content) was a couple days after s1 came out, with this post. Smaller simpler times back then, but just as fun. It may be possible your brain is somewhat merging the two things? Or I might've missed something, too! I'm not always up to date on everything that's happening on different sites although I do my best

The only posts of mine I know any of the crew has seen is Aaron expressing interest in my Kataang-Rayllum parallels meta post s2 (although no clue if he ever read it, and that thing is long), and Devon talking about one of my posts on a Hot Brown Morning Potion podcast. Your alarm clock blared next to your head at 5AM on the dot, old habits die hard for you and Steve. You hit the “off” button and threw the covers off of yourself, greeted by cold air. As you hung your legs off the side of the bed, you felt Steve’s strong arms slowly wrap around your waist.

“Just a few more minutes.” He mumbled, which was unlike him. Usually he would be ready to start the day and get a move-on.

“You okay?” You asked lowly, pulling the covers back over yourself and cuddling close to Steve.

“Mhmm.” He hummed as you felt his bare chest. “Tired of schedules, just want to be with you.” You smiled at his groggy mannerisms and agreed with his point, relaxing back on the mattress and letting your boyfriend’s warmth overwhelm you. He placed a soft kiss on your cheek and drifted off, it was time to take a short break from all the responsibilities in your lives.

After that, Steve had let up on some of his previous self-discipline. He wasn’t fighting a war, he wasn’t on a mission, he didn’t need to be on-guard at all times. He was sitting with you at the dinner table, laying beside you in bed, watching TV on the couch, going on a jog, grocery shopping. Steve got a chance to live a simpler life. Most importantly, it was with you.

I’m not saying that the two of you didn’t have any missions, you two were partners in the field, as well. Trust was a big part of it, but that never stopped the two of you from worrying about each other. Especially Steve and his need to prove himself. If you were there during his “On va voir” stunt, you wouldn’t have let him go through with it. Waste of time, if you say so yourself.

But today wasn’t like other days, you’d missed the rendezvous. Cap and his team stood on the jet waiting to hear back from you. They’d been calling for nearly half an hour now, you should have been there.

“Sir, we need to leave.” One of the agents told Steve, regretting to suggest he leave his significant other behind.

“Just a few more minutes.” Steve faced the open field and watched out for you while the others on the team pitied him. “Y/N’s okay. I know it.”

“Sir, all due respect—” An agent chimed in.

“I said ‘a few more minutes,’ soldier.” Everyone else seemed to shut their mouths fast. Couple nights ago my SH urges were at their highest since my last relapse but a bitch is growingggg... 129 days strong 👏🏻💕

Today I had a really awful migraine... I couldn't even make it to the toilet my whole bathroom sink counter was just 🤮

For those who don’t recall, the sensory mechanites are odd things that cause a fair amount of pain and tiredness, but actually boost the senses. The colony does have a painstopper it could install in one of their brains, but probably they ought to just be healed.

It’s not the only thing Emu’s dealing with, of course. With his brain damage and anxiety you wouldn’t even notice some of the mechanites’ benefits.

Jay managed not to contract any mechanites, but is still healing from the fight at the stash location.

So too are the prisoners. This fairly young man who should be able to heal to normal...

And this older woman who would be alright, but seems to have a pre-existing issue with her heart. If she did join the colony, Zeiph could probably make her a new heart, but they’ve had prisoners get themselves killed trying to break out before...

At the base they completed a new room for off-world trading, mostly in order to buy the necessary ingredients for prosthetics. Ships haven’t been that common so far, but it can be useful.

Emu continues to have... issues. It’s hard to tell how much of the problems he causes are down to his personality or the brain damage, since the brain damage happened before he joined the colony. Maybe they can do something to fix it?

Of course one of the things that they brought back was a brain stimulator, and Julio got it in safely, but it doesn’t seem to have fixed the brain injury itself. We’ll have to see what has changed when he’s awake again...

Meanwhile Julio heads off to do some hopefully simpler work, trying to cure Henry’s anxiety (again)...

Emu’s woken up and although a lot of his stats still don’t look good, they are better than when he arrived back. Perhaps if his anxiety is cured as well...?

Henry’s anxiety is cured! Less work for Jethro, her therapy dog. Now she just needs a new ear installed...

One anxiety down, and now it’s Lion’s turn...

Cured! Though, as I recall, she only developed anxiety after the last move, and they probably will move again shortly...

Installing new ears is riskier, but hopefully Julio’s had a good warm-up fixing anxieties, because we don’t want to lose original colonists to surgery...

Henry has made it through safely! Her ear (and the others Zeiph has prepared for himself and Dead) aren’t as advanced as the one Lion received, but they don’t need it so much as she did and it’s expensive to upgrade them.

Now it’s Dead’s turn to receive her ear...

Another safe surgery! Julio’s doing good work right now, despite his frailty, but that’s not a guarantee so we shouldn’t get complacent...

Bellerose has been pretty quiet in the background, but in absence of sufficient bedrooms, he’s been given space next to his daughter’s sarcophagus and memorial statue. He doesn’t seem too disturbed by it.

There’s an even more significant prosthetic underway, planned for Eri’s receipt, and this will probably be the real test of Julio’s skill, replacing her entire spine...

Apparently Steroid isn’t a fan of how kind a person Morales is, but he’s apparently not so kind that he won’t throw hands in the freezer!

As though the hospital wasn’t busy enough with all the surgeries going on.

But Steroid and Morales will be forced to endure each other’s company until their bruises heal.

And now Eri is in for her spine surgery. Can Julio pull it off?

During all the tension, somebody seems to be trying to help by dropping more prosthetics - but they don’t really need wooden feet.

The spine implant was a success! This could be very useful when they move, so Eri can better keep up with the others.

Eri’s in a better state than she was, but she could use a new kidney as well, and that’s surely easier than installing a whole spine.

So Eri’s soon back under the knife...

Ah. Well, I did say we shouldn’t get complacent. Kind of a waste of a good bionic spine though, if she was going to die getting a new kidney put in...

The first death since Priscilla’s and some people were on edge enough as it was, it’s not good for morale, or Morales especially.

That’s a very... shady sarcophagus Jay’s created for her, basically illustrating her death and blaming Julio (which, yes, it was him, but not deliberately). In any case, Eri is laid to rest, so I guess it’s montage time.

You know, I’d gotten used to my conception of Eri as a slightly frail older woman doddering around, but she actually first came to the colony as part of a raiding party from the Combat Society pirates.

She was the only survivor of her party, and ironically it was during that fight that her eventual death, her missing kidney, was caused. But she was taken prisoner back at the first base.

She joined at the beginning of the new base, when all hands were on deck to get things set up. She didn’t talk in detail about her past, but once she had apparently been a standard innocent shopkeeper, but wound up imprisoned for crimes untold before escaping, probably by mining her way out with a crafted shovel.

She was with the colony for almost exactly a year and a half. Her skills didn’t change much in that time, but she helped defend the colony when necessary, and mostly her work was keeping the place clean. There’s no skill for that, but everyone else would have been a lot more upset (and potentially ill) without her doing it.

Rest in Peace, Eri. At least she died unconscious, in no pain, probably entirely unaware of her death to the end.

I’m not sure if I’m surprised that Zeiph has the guts to be the next under the knife following Eri’s death, but he crafted this ear, so he intends to receive it.

His faith in Julio is rewarded; the ear is implanted safely. To be fair to Julio, he’s had many more successes than failures.

Then it’s back to Emu again, hoping to cure more anxiety and get him working better.

It worked, but Emu’s still not ideal, and it’s hard to tell how much is still his brain injury or the mechanites. They’ll just have to keep treating those.

Mayor Lion knows how to raise people’s moods following a death, though there’s no formal funeral for poor quiet Eri.

For all the time that some of these people have spent together, the colonists aren’t generally very close or cohesive. Lion’s generally doing the best, but having a partner and one friend is not a high standard of social group. At least no fight is breaking out over the election last quadrum.

A trade offer is made, but from what I can tell the colonists are hoping to move soon, not spend a lot of resources creating guns for another group.

And then there quickly followed another request, to destroy a raider camp. Vas might be interested in an opportunity for a fight, and maybe a persona core in Emu’s head might improve him? Just a thought.

With not much to do while the colony prepares to move, Vas takes some of the fighters out to get the AI Persona Core.

The journey to and from will take them beyond the end of the season, but hopefully it will be worth it.

Meanwhile Emu’s recovered from the sensory mechanites, and the brain stimulator hasn’t made anything better than would be normal and left a number of aspects still subpar. Hopefully he’ll still prove useful somehow.

Perhaps one day the combat pirates will realise that one of them cannot take on a full party, but it certainly hasn’t happened yet.

There’s more than one attacker back home though, with more variation of weapons this time. We know grenades can be dangerous...

Dead is dead! The prophecy is fulfilled! She looked like she was going for the grenadier, but she was ganged up on by the melee fighters and the battering must have just overwhelmed her body! The past few victories must have made complacent, the first of our original colonists to die...

The fight is still going though, and it’s enough to make you wonder whether the quest Vas went on was some kind of deliberate lure to get the best melee fighters away from the base! Lion is downed but still alive, our colonists are doing their best to fend them off...

And Kilo decides this is an opportune moment to give birth to another husky puppy, this time a girl, the father is Wildwood again.

The fight is finished, and no more colonists died. Matvei the deer even lent a hoof...

In the absence of most of the melee fighters, most of the damage was by the various gunners...

There is one survivor though, and he’s close enough to the base to potentially save and recruit.

Plenty of damage to the colonists as well, though thankfully Emu hasn’t gone any more permanent damage to set him back...

Henry’s not too bad...

Steroid’s never really had to be in a fight before, but all the damage should heal...

He couldn’t not fight when his wife was so involved though - Lion took a lot of beating, but there’s no external bleeding at least.

Matvei actually took the worst damage, losing an ear and bleeding quite a lot, but Sky will fix him up.

And they start very quickly! Prisoner Gazelle chooses to join the colony rather than be outnumbered by male prisoners now. She’s a very promising fighter and has skill as a medic, though pyromania is less than ideal.

And then Dead is laid to rest in the same chamber as Priscilla and Eri. I can’t say I really appreciate Julio’s choice of what to portray on Dead’s tomb; no glorious battle like on Priscilla’s, just one time when she got too hot in summer and was sweaty. For some reason this image apparently stuck in Julio’s memory, which makes me very dubious.

Anyway, we definitely have to montage for the original colonists...

Elisabeth Dead, of course, actually chose to go to this planet for this challenge (and signed all of the waivers, remember). An ex-music teacher, she had wanted to embrace a different side to her life and existence, and she certainly did.

She survived three and a half years on Duster, with the ominous fact of her own name hanging over her, but she survived. She lost an ear just half a year in, and a finger after a year, but she kept going.

Her skills didn’t grow nearly so well as her fellow original colonists’, but she was vital early on for her (relative) skill with plants, and she was keen to get in on the fights to protect the colony - too keen at the end.

Rest in peace, Elisabeth Dead. Hopefully her father might find her resting place one day, and her friend Lion will miss her. Maybe if Henry and Zeiph make it through this, they’ll create a monument to her too.

Hopefully people will be recovered enough to feel like gathering.

Meanwhile Julio, being the best medic and interested in crafting, has decided to start on a new heart for Gazelle to try and protect her from the minor artery blockage she already has. Perhaps best to take the chance because she becomes too invaluable to the colony.

Elsewhere Vas’ party finally arrived at their location up in the mountains. There are several combat pirates, but they aren’t too well armed.

It’s difficult to fend off automatic weapons with just a coat and a sword.

Even with a flak jacket, they didn’t stand much of a chance. One of their friends escaped though, as the battle went south for them.

It’s not the most technologically advanced place, but they were able to loot a new turret for the home base.

And then they start heading home, taking even longer than it took them to get there. Hopefully the home base won’t be raided again by the time they get back...

And before we end the quadrum, we’ll review the various factions. Naturally nothing changes with the Combat Society pirates, but the colony’s somewhat positive with everyone else, especially the Accord of Inmenin. Hopefully it will benefit them somehow.

i always found eremika very obvious. i was okay with it, but the last arc made it an incredible ship for me. i think lots of people forget that eren was an angsty 15 yo obsessed with war. of course he won't be into love shit. when does he realize his feelings for mikasa? after he learns the truth about the walls aka when he basically gives up on his ideals and focuses on saving his friends and fulfilling his duty. i mean, look at jean. he used to be all over mikasa at the start but when things get tough, he stops being all over her but lives his feelings inside. i mean, he dreams about having a family with mikasa, but he rarely shows affection towards her (except for the protective stuff). i think eremika could have been given more spotlight but it was very obvious it would be canon. i like their dynamics, wish we could see eren with his aaron yoghurt self a bit more lol

Hello, there seems to be tale of a new Guilty Gear installment rather than an Xrd addition from the recent anniversary interview. Honestly I'm a bit saddened by this especially considering the statement made for newer games to be simpler (I also really just wanted Testament to eventually show up in Xrd with all its crazy mechanics rather than a new game). But anyway, can you confirm how true this rumour is?. Is it really that Xrd has come to an end after what feels like a short time?.

Since Baf0’s conversation on Twitter on the Dengeki Report kinda blew it up, I’ll reiterate it here (since Dustloop posts don’t last forever… full translation courtesy of RedSilverSnake):

—The password to unlock Testament and Dizzy in the arcade version of X was “misosoup,” apparently because a programmer working on the game was overheard saying, “Now I want to drink some miso soup…”[I mentioned this earlier.  FYI GGX also had a button code in the console versions.  Look it up at GameFAQs.]

—The development team was casual with naming conventions at the time, to the extent that one of the ideas of what to call what became roman cancels was “cosmetic galaxy.” [I explained some of GGX history, Roman Cancels are wordplay for Roman Candle, a Firework… this symbolism actually transferred all the way to Revelator when Sol talks about Fireworks in one of the closing chapters of the story.]

—There was a question about Fanny from GG Petit, but Ishiwatari says he can’t answer anything about her because he wasn’t involved in her creation. [Sammy Staff were part of the people who assisted in her creation, but the GG character poll suggested that Ishiwatari wasn’t above putting her in a future game if players still wanted her to appear.]

—Advance had a unique move for Venom that Ishiwatari meant to hide, but it somehow made it into the game. [They describe it as a Bomb technique, which I think was hinted at in Night of Knives as well when Millia clashed with Venom.  There’s an item called Calvados Bomb in MOM Mode that generates poison which might have stemmed from that idea.]

—Not everyone who worked on XX knew that Bridget was a boy, which led to a shocked exclamation from a designer. [Story Mode states officially that Bridget is Male and identifies as Male, wishing to become more “manly” as part of his interests. 4chan be damned.]

—When the topic of the series’ bosses being women came up, it was mentioned that Leopaldon’s gender is unknown, but Ishiwatari says that he thinks the dog piloting it may have been female, thus keeping this tradition unbroken. [Gears can be considered “gender neutral” in some cases, because of their DNA, but yes the Dog inside Leo’s mouth COULD be Female, but we don’t know for sure!]

—Leopaldon’s designer did the effects for Jam’s new super in Xrd. [It was also said that Da Eun, Kum Haehyun’s Head Maid was the girl who appeared in Korean #Reload’s original stage.]

—Overture’s total development time was five years, so Ishiwatari says he has a lot of memories about it. [Black memories, I assume, given the reception. >_>]

—The name of Overture’s genre, melee action, has a double meaning; the “melee” part is homonymous with the Japanese word 命令/meirei, which refers to orders, like the ones you give to servants in the game. [Hopefully they’ll do something more improved in a Crusades-like setting someday ala God Eater.]

—Ishiwatari was fixated on how roman cancels could be changed in Xrd, and Pachi recalls racking his mind over the suggestion that they be possible at any time, even during a downed state. [FYI the only way to cancel a knockdown is to recover before it!  BlazBlue has Emergency Rolls and Quickrise motions for this reason, also there was a hack in Accent Core (PSP version codes) that could allow for unlimited cancels in to anything at one point, so the coding is there for it!]

—One idea that was tested during Xrd’s development was being able to roman cancel KOs, but this caused a bug among certain characters where they’d just fall right after getting up following the RC.[This is where the idea of Resurrection came from (related to the Gill boss character from Street Fighter III).]

—Bridget was #1 on the Revelator poll to decide the next playable character until the very last day, when Dizzy got a sudden boost. [Poor Order-Sol…]

—The staff had specific ideas for other characters in the poll, such as Izuna dashing rather than having a regular walk (like in Cross Tag Battle). [I’m sure he’s still in the works for the next game as Izuna was mentioned in Revelator.]

—One of Haehyun’s attendants actually debuted in the Korean version of #Reload, having been added to one of the stages. [Her name is Da Eun, and she is voiced by Elphelt’s VA in Kum’s Episode!]

—Ishiwatari also says that Xrd is probably finished as of Rev 2, and maybe hints that work has already started on the next real sequel.

Now, on to THIS:

As I said, GGXrd Revelator (excluding the add-on Rev2) is technically the SECOND of the Xrd Series… Rev2 (while it is a standalone game now), is the equivalent of “X Plus” to Guilty Gear X.

Most likely there is production for a THIRD XRD game… Revelator’s story hints at it, AFTER STORY hints at it, even the GUILTY GEAR BEGIN novel suggests something’s going to happen after REVELATOR…

So you KNOW something is gonna happen.  Basically the statement is “We’re done with Revelator Add-ons”, is what they’re saying.

So the next GG is gonna be BIG.  That’s all you guys need to know.  Keep supporting ARC System Works, and maybe (JUST MAYBE) the next GG will get a dub like BBTag has!

All we have to do is support any releases (including GG1 and Accent Core for the Nintendo Switch, Steam, and PS4 releases).  Guilty Gear The Missing Link should be coming in the next few months along with Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R.

I’m banking on this because HAPPY CHAOS (a hinted character) says so!  So you should believe in HAPPY CHAOS!

Schegge. There’s not really a story behind it, but I think the reason why I love this song so much is that I always think of the person I’m in love with when I listen to it and it’s weird cause it makes me wanna cry but it also comforts me at the same time??

Caro Antonello. It was one of the first songs of Non Abbiamo Armi I heard and I didn’t know the story behind it or that it was a letter to Antonello Venditti even tho i should have guessed it by “di notti di esami” but the sound and his accent (which I feel it’s stronger in this particular song) reminded me of Bari, where my family on my mom’s side is from and it reminded me of people I used to know (one of whom was called Antonello), people I used to love, even my own family. It reminded me of simpler times while making me realize those times are over. Also, when I’m in Bari, even though all my people are here in Naples, the only person I truly miss is her and it hurts like hell. I know it’s not that far away but it feels like it when you’re forced to go somewhere you don’t want to go and be surrounded by people who’ve only ever caused you anxiety and distress

Rien ne Va Plus. Because I’m a disaster bi and in this song Ermal is the distinguished bi I aspire to be

A Parte Te. There’s a girl I used to be friends with (”bestest friends actually”) that i would have given everything to. We were in class together, we would always sit together. There were days where I’d leave home early in the morning and come back the day after, after having slept at her house sometimes without even asking my parents which i now regret cause it made them worry. I would have sacrificed parts of myself to please her, and I did. I was very young, I didn’t know anything, but I felt like I knew her. And I’m sure she didn’t even realize she was hurting me because, in her own way, she loved me too. After we parted ways, I found it difficult to have that relatioship with someone again, because I was hurt and saddened, but I still loved her, and part of me always will. That’s why this song, especially the chorus, makes me think of her. I’ll always have love for her in my heart.

Misconception: he seems to dislike "normal people" (without talents), but I think deep inside he wants to be normal too.....

Sore Wa Chigau Yo!

Strap in, kids, because this one’s kind of a doozy. I’m about to tell you two entirely opposing accounts of what goes on inside Nagito’s head, and rest assured, they’re both mutually exclusive, and one as valid as the other. 

 Let’s start with the side of him that absolutely, definitely puts Ultimate Talent above all else, just because it’s the side we see more. I’m going to be quite short about this because I think about every other user, as well as the game itself, has covered this more concisely than my drivel machine of a brain.

 Obviously, Nagito absolutely values hope above all else. (What is hope in his eyes? We’ll come back to that later.)

 He would die to bring about a little more hope in the world. 

 He would also let others make the choice to die for hope. 

 In almost every scenario, he would put the wants of an Ultimate above the needs of someone who is talentless, as he sees Ultimates as being in a class of their own, far above everyone else. He has a deep, devoted, platonic love for such people. 

 He wants to see “hope and despair collide”; and for a stronger, more shining hope to come out on top. 

 He believes that strong hope will overcome weak hope and despair.

 He believes that anyone who is talentless should be honoured to do anything for an Ultimate, as that’s assisting hope by proxy, in a sense. 

 He’s no hypocrite, and upholds these tough standards for himself. 

 Nagito considers his luck to be the only special thing about him; and even that, he doesn’t consider a talent. 

 At absolutely no point to I want to minimise the importance of this particular part of his characterisation, so please keep all this in mind as I bring up some lesser-acknowledged stuff. 

 We start with his character music. As much as Nagito claims talent is all that matters, Megumi Ogata, his Japanese VA, is out here spilling all his tea and I love it. She refers to the song Zettai Kibou Birthday as how he feels on the “outside”, and Zanzakura -Zanka- as how he feels on the “inside”. 

 ZKB is about meeting a mysterious someone on campus who he was “born to meet”, and the situation gets quite sexual from there. However, the entire song is metaphoric (remember how I referred to him as a great, big virgin?) It nods to his deep love of hope, and desire to be close to another person, seeing the two as one and the same - it doesn’t necessarily mean he has a literal hope fetish. You have to look pretty close, however, to see anything besides that. 

 Zanka is a much sadder and simpler song. He compares himself to cherry blossoms, which are, in Japan, symbolic of mortality and the ephemeral nature of life. The flowers themselves only bloom for about a week, sometimes less depending on the conditions around them; but cherry blossoms are seen as being at their most beautiful, not in full bloom, but as they begin to wither and die. He also sings the line, 

“ To live an ordinary life, and die together with you / Oh, if that could come true ”

 Call me crazy, but that doesn’t sound like someone who is desperate to die, even for hope, at any given minute.

 There’s also the matter of the OVA to consider. This disaster of canon may be more intentional than we first considered. In case you missed it, here’s the full episode. Otherwise, I could harp all day on various things people have acknowledged before, so I’ll narrow it down to two key points:

 1 - This doesn’t have much to do with the question at hand, but it’s good to note. In a world where he’s supposed to be “untalented”, Nagito retains a somewhat warped version of his luck, where he experiences bad luck so that others can experience good. My takeaway from this is that this points back to him feeling like his luck is the only thing that makes him special; but also that he still carries a lot of guilt for the hardships his luck has caused others, and if he had a say in the matter, he’d be the only one getting hurt, and would find a way to harness it to help others. I could do a whole other thousand word essay on this, to be honest. 

 2 - Due to the traumatic nature of his death in the Neo World Program, Nagito’s mind creates a world where he can feel safe and comfortable. You’d think that, for someone who supposedly was willing to kill to become Ultimate Hope, he might make a world where that dream can come true. But what does this incredibly intelligent, creative young man do with a whole world at his fingertips? He goes to high school. 

 He. Goes. To. High. School.

 And it’s not even some super special high school on the moon or whatever. All the faces we see are familiar to him. He gets to be with the people he’s already come to know, except this time around, they like him. These people he felt he could only look up to before have become his friends. He even expresses a desire to live in a world without talent, presenting it as some kind of barrier between people; as something that, without, no one would be better than the other, and there’d be fewer roadblocks to happiness. 

 After that world is destroyed, Nagito expresses a little bit of worry that perhaps somebody saw it, and when put at ease, says something to the effect of, “That’s just not who I am.” If that’s the case, however, then why did that world exist in the first place; of all the things his mind could have made? Granted, not everything in it is necessarily literal. He implies in-game that part of the reason he was drawn to Hajime was because he feels as if they’re alike. It’s later revealed that Hajime didn’t have a talent originally. To Nagito, he had found someone he could be on the same level with; someone with actual potential to understand him. That seems like perhaps one of the most likely meanings behind the world his mind created. 

 Now, look, if you’ve been on this blog for more than two minutes, you know exactly where this is going next. Nagito’s finally confided in someone that he’s dying, and what does he say to Hajime about it? Insert screenshot I bring up at every given opportunity because it breaks my heart and I like to suffer, I guess.

 There’s nothing in this world to bring out a person’s priorities like the Grim Reaper himself. When you don’t have much time left, you want to spend it on what truly matters. While Nagito has made it very clear that he wants his actual death to be meaningful and contribute to a greater good; he also makes it clear in his own, roundabout way just what he wanted to fill the space between now and then with.

 You’ve probably noticed a bit of a disconnect happening here. The docile doormat who would suck hope’s dick for a kick in the face, the Laugh™ with dreams of becoming Ultimate Hope, and the smol cinnamon roll who’d live in a library if he could and would sell his soul for a hug. What is truth? What is acting? What is fanservice? Is Mun reading way too into things? How can so many different things exist inside one character?

 Answers: all of it; none of it; some of it tbh; probably; the same way anyone else is capable of feeling extremes. Nagito is a very cleverly put-together, very complex character. It isn’t right or fair to say that one side of him matters more than the other. It seems as if there’s nothing to tie together his many personas, and I’ve spent a long time thinking about how a someone could want both life and death, and I don’t think my answer will shock you. 

 Hope. 

 Before you roll your eyes at me, just listen. Ask about anyone what hope means, and they’ll probably say, “a positive outlook for the future” or “a feeling of excitement and expectation” or they’ll start crying and that’s how you spot a DR fan. Nagito, however, has a very specific yet very vague definition of the word, and that’s the key to how I play his character. 

“ Hope is a positive force… Everything created by it is an absolute good! ”

 I couldn’t find my screenshot of this bit oops. An absolute good. In my mind, the only way to make sense of everything he says, is to break down a few barriers here. Hope is good, but you know what else is good? Love. Honesty. Companionship. Joy. Laughter. That may be doing your books, but you need to be more specific than that. How do you want your books done? Do you simply want an accurate record of expenses and invoices? Or do you want a balance sheet and proper income statement? Do you want it done in FreshBooks or in QuickBooks? If you need research, what kind of research do you want done? Be very specific. Is it research for white papers? #2. Find a VA Who Understands Copywriting as a Business Ideally, you want a Virtual Assistant who understands the copywriting business so they know what they're doing. You don’t want to get into a situation where you need to train a Virtual Assistant. Obviously, you need to brief them and they need to learn your business. But you don’t want to train them in a skill. So you want to be very specific as to what you want done so you can find a VA who already has those skills or has experience in that area. Believe me, it will make your life a lot easier if you do that. #3. Work with a Solo Professional If you do some searching on the internet for Virtual Assistants, you'll find that there are two categories. One category is Virtual Assistant firms that have several different types of assistants working with them, and the other is solo professionals. I haven't had a good experience with Virtual Assistant firms because I find that they usually farm the work out to people I don’t even know. And it just doesn’t work out well for me. I’ve had my best experiences with Virtual Assistants who are dedicated solo professionals. They're in their own business just like you. They're very good at what they do. They're at it full time. If you find someone like that, it's golden. I recommend going with the solo professional rather than any type of firm. Do a Live Interview Before hiring a Virtual Assistant, you want to talk to them personally in a live interview. The interview may be on the phone because they may be in a different city. Have a conversation with them. Ask them how long they've been in the business. Ask them what they do for other clients. Ask them what they're really good at. Ask them what they don’t do. There might be some things they just don’t do. I know one VA who doesn’t do anything sales related. She doesn’t follow up on prospecting calls and things like that. But have a long conversation and get to know them. You want a good fit with what they do, their skill sets, and the services they provide you. But you also want a good fit with their personality because they're going to be working rather intimately with your business. And you want to make sure you get along well with them. Talk to Their Clients In addition to a live interview, I recommend you ask the VA if they can give you a couple of client references you can call. Now sometimes, a VA is unable to do that. Their clients may be confidential or they just may not feel comfortable with someone talking to their clients for a variety of good reasons. They're not trying to hide anything. So you may not be able to do that, but at least ask the question. Simply say, "Would you mind if I got a client reference from you that I can call to get a client's perspective on your work?" and see what they say. If you can talk to an actual client and get their perspective on what it’s like to work with that particular VA, that’s a bonus. Ask About Future Availability Here's a very important question that I've missed a couple of times. Ask about their future availability and schedule. You want to know if they are going on maternity leave anytime soon or are they retiring next year. Are they going on an extended vacation or are they starting a new business in the fall? It takes two or three months to really get up to speed with a Virtual Assistant and for them to really learn your business and how best they can help. It takes that long for you to get clicking with each other. What you don’t want is to hire a Virtual Assistant and then find out six months later that they're on a European trip of a lifetime for three months. And they won't be able to help with your business. Where Do You Find a Virtual Assistant? Of course, you can just Google “Virtual Assistant” and perhaps also add some search terms for your industry. You might add copywriting or your local city. That's one way to start. But let me give you some more suggestions … First of all, avoid those cheap job sites you find online where everybody bids on projects. I don’t recommend starting there because you want to work with a professional who's going to really help you in your business. You don’t want to work with some fly-by-night person. I've had a lot of luck finding Virtual Assistants through professional associations. In Canada, there's the Canadian Association of Virtual Assistants. In the United States, there's vanetworking.com. There's also the International Virtual Assistants Association. If you Google “Virtual Assistant associations,” you'll find more VA associations. Many of these association websites will have a matchmaking tool where you can type in your criteria and they'll match you up with Virtual Assistants you may be interested in talking to. When Should You Consider Hiring a Virtual Assistant? If you're just starting out in your business and you’re not making any money yet, then it really doesn’t make sense to have a Virtual Assistant. You’re going to have to do your own books and your own marketing because you really can't afford it. And even if you have some money to invest, you want to invest it in getting clients, not in a VA doing your books. But once you start to get clients, there is a point where it makes sense to start looking for a Virtual Assistant. That point is when you have so much client work that other parts of your business are suffering. Your bookkeeping is falling behind. And your marketing to build your business is falling behind. And your website is falling behind. And you’re no longer able to be active on social media and that's falling behind. At that point, then it makes sense to get a Virtual Assistant. That will buy you time to take on more clients and make more money. It will also make things less stressful for you because other parts of your business are not falling behind. You have a Virtual Assistant covering that. You have a more efficient business. Frankly, it makes your business more enjoyable. You can spend more time doing the things you want to do and less time doing the things you don’t want to do. Intuitively we know it’s not a time to fade out of view, but a time to stand strong, yet how do we face such ferocious energies without feeling overcome? Well, in many ways, it’s not what we do, but how we do it. If we buy into what’s trending on social media, the stories in the press, or the beliefs of those around us, we can get sucked into the frenzy, but there is another way: we can go within and listen to our hearts and souls to guide us.

It’s easy to get caught up in the chaos of the twists and turns, but we each have the wisdom to shift our consciousness to different levels, away from the storm to a place of greater clarity, wisdom and knowing. It’s not always about rolling up one’s sleeves and charging into the affray, sometimes it’s about stepping back and finding another way. 

In modern society we are living in an ever-increasing swirl of interconnectivity with smartphones that keep us in touch anywhere and everywhere, 24/7 news and the world wide web. In many ways, it’s great, but it can create a form of over-stimulation where it becomes hard to stop, pause and switch off leading to feelings of burnout and a sense of disconnection from the soul. This is feeding the frenzy and we each need to learn how to take time out, to switch the phones off and to step back from being constantly stimulated and bombarded by noise, anger and chaos. The more we can step back, the more easily we can reach the truth and see through the lies, chaos and games.

Beyond the chaotic maelstrom around us there is a sense of great change: an awakening and a shift away from the complex lives we’ve been living back to something simpler, but richer. It’s time to be honest with ourselves, to let go of the need to be a part of the mêlée in case we ‘miss out’, to face the discomfort of consciously choosing not to have our phones at our side and to realise the joy in being in nature or simply observing one’s own breath. Intuitively we know that it’s time to reach out to like-minded souls and to build up a kind of silent revolution where the power of intent, the desire for peace and the quest for love become the guiding forces in life.

October looks set to continue the theme of increasing unity as we connect energetically and intuitively with like-minded souls. It’s likely that many of us will continue to face the depths of our emotions as we reach deeply within in order to release layer upon layer of distraction, as well as setting ourselves free from the 24/7 interconnected, over-stimulated way of life. It’s time for simplicity now, but it’s also knowing that within simplicity is wisdom, courage and compassion…

There’s a simple, contentedness about hygge, it’s a warm feeling in your heart and soul, and it invokes a cosy, happy and almost reassuring glow within. Simple things can light up your soul from listening to a bird singing, to sipping fresh coffee or feeling the warmth of a crackling fire. It’s not the act of doing any of these, it’s the feeling or sense doing such things invoke. This seems so important for you at the current time as you have spent a long time exploring the path to happiness and seeking out dreams in order to achieve this.

Whilst you will always have dreams, your quest has left you feeling a sense of lack as you have never reached the horizon you have always strived toward. However, it’s important to realise that happiness doesn’t have to be on the horizon, it has the potential to be with you in the here and now. Zomboy Returns To His Classic Sound On New Track “Lone Wolf”

A lot of the dubstep artists I listened to in 2011-2014, that are still actively releasing, have felt pressure from fans and trends to hop on the riddim train. I don’t blame them, an artist’s gotta eat, y’know? But it still left me wanting for the classic sounds of guys like Doctor P, Zomboy, 12th Planet, and more.

Thankfully, the pendulum is beginning to swing back the other way. In stark contrast to Zomboy’s only other track in 2018, “Rebel Bass,” his new track out this weekend “Lone Wolf” represents a true return to form for the producer.

“The bass music scene, however wonderful and broad, can often get a little tired,” Zomboy told Billboard Dance. “This is only to be expected when something this popular attracts so many new and hungry producers. In the current climate a lot of the groove and energy has been substituted for a harder, simpler and more aggressive sound.”

Calling back to his Game Time and Dead Symphonic days, “Lone Wolf” is a frenetic and wildly melodic ride devoid of any swampy synths or monotonous drum rhythms. The beat is as chaotic as the synths pumping through your speakers, a characteristic of Zomboy’s earlier work that we’ve definitely been missing.
