Revolutionary Army Punk AU
Ft: Luffy (not punk)
Steampunk is cool but i think just straight up punk would be cooler. I just think what they stand for lines up a lot better
Design notes:
I did some research and talked to a punk friend of mine for these as i am not a punk, myself, and I dont want to look like a poser. I think i did a really good job translating them and i want to explain my thoughts!
Sabo was first, of course.
I not only wanted to make the characters punk, but i also wanted to crank their designs up about 20 notches, so i gave Sabo’s scar one hell of an upgrade. In this version I tried to make it very clear that that cannon ball hit him head-on. I think it works really well with his punk vibes because under-cuts and shaved parts of the head in general are very popular in punk culture.
I largely tried to keep the silhouettes the same with this au, and It was really easy to keep it with Sabo because of the fact that he already has a lot of design elements that translate well to punk. His big pants into tall boots were perfect to translate, crust pants and steel toed boots fits him well. Trench coats arent a staple in Punk, but i couldnt take the coats away from him… him or Belo. They deserve it…
I threw away his cravat for a choker, i replaced his vest with a red tank top and his undershirt for fishnets, Patches up the wazoo, he looks very cool.
Belo Betty was next, she was super easy to translate. She’s already in the punk spirit with her tits out, we love to see it. Her hat was really difficult to translate, along with all the other hats, but a red knitted hat that has those two points cuz it’s essentially a scarf sewed together looks nice on her.
My punk friend suggested i give her a bunch of nets and harnesses and i really agreed that was her style, so i gave her red tie to Morley, slapped some harnesses on her and just overall just turned her sexy up like 50 notches. I think i was clever how i adapted her striped stockings here with how they have runs in them.
Karasu is almost the exact same. I just threw out his dinky little cravat and gave him a bandana and harness. I also gave him piercings. That’s the only difference. In the words of my Punk friend “hes naked and wearing a spiked mask, He can hang��
Speaking of what my punk friend said, he said that Lindbergh would get “demolished” in the pit, and that he looks like he’s scared of bees. The consensus was that he couldn’t hang. But also i still had to make him punk, so then he suggested CBGB punks:
Redneck, bluegrass, southern american punks. I was really in a rut with his design, I didn’t know what to do to keep the silhouette of his backpack. But everything changed when I chance got the idea of a guitar. And then everything flowed from there
Morley was really really fun. Punk friend suggested i make him Pop Punk, inspired by this pic
Mainly Lindsey way with this plaid skirt and tie
He was so so fun to draw, i love his fucked up eyes.
For dragon, i didnt change much at all, even though it’s only his bust that’s shown. Imagine everything is the same, except now he has piercings. Dragon isnt concerned with the punk fashion, but the punk cause.
For Luffy, I wasnt trying to make him punk, but he felt a bit plain looking like base Luffy next to punk Sabo, so i just did the “turn design up 20 notches”, and just gave him a more visibly tattered hat, bangles and waist beads.
That’s about it! Ive been getting a lot of comments and asks lately saying that you guys like when i go on my design explanations, and i realized that i didnt do that for the last few AU’s, so i thought id type this up :)

“No!”
Quinn took a deep breath in as Evie’s yells bounced across the apartment walls. He made the mistake of glancing backwards, catching sight of Evie trying to claw her way out of your grip, as you held her in your arms.
Quinn had another series of away games, meaning he had to leave you and Evie in Vancouver.
“Dad, don’t leave!” The four-year-old girl wailed. Evie wasn’t typically this upset when Quinn had to leave but when you’re four and you haven’t gotten much sleep the night before, when someone close to you is leaving, chaos is the only option.
Quinn knelt down, dropping his bags at his feet. "Hey, Evie," he said softly, his voice calm and steady. "Come here, Bug."
She hesitated for a moment, her little fists clenching and unclenching, before she wriggled free and rushed into Quinn's open arms. He scooped her up, holding her close, feeling her tiny body tremble with soft sobs.
"Don’t want you to go," she whispered, burying her face in his shoulder.
Quinn glanced over to you with broken eyes as he gently stroked her back.
“I know, Bug, I know. But I have to play with the team, remember? We’ve talked about this." He softly reminded her.
"But why can't you stay? With me and Mom?" Evie sniffled, her big eyes searching his for answers, the red tinge causing Quinn’s heart to crack.
"It's my job, sweetheart. Just like how you go to preschool and Mom goes to work.” Quinn explained, his thumb brushing away some of Evie’s stray tears. “But guess what? I'll be back before you know it and we'll have lots of fun when I return.”
“Like what?”
“We can go to the park, and I'll even teach you some new hockey moves. How does that sound?" He listed, his eyes trained on your little girl.
"Promise?" Evie pouted slightly, her grip on his shirt loosening just a bit.
"I promise, Bug," Quinn swore, giving her a reassuring smile as she leaned fully into him. "And while I'm gone, you can draw me lots of pictures, okay? So when I get back, you can show me all the amazing things you've made."
"Okay,” She managed a small smile through her tears. “I like drawing.”
"That's my girl." Quinn kissed her forehead and set her back down gently. "Now, be good for Mom, alright?"
"Okay." Evie nodded, wiping her eyes with the collar of her T-shirt.
Quinn stood up, grabbing his bags once more. He gave you another quick kiss, brushing your hair behind your ear.
"I'll call every day,” he whispered into your ear as you briefly wrapped your hands around his middle.
"You better," you replied with a soft smile, squeezing his hand as he pulled away.
As Quinn walked out the door, he turned back for one last wave. "See you guys soon, love you!" He called, balancing his bags.
"Love you too!" Evie called out, her voice stronger now.
The door closed, and Quinn's footsteps echoed down the hallway. You looked down at Evie, her face still streaked with tears but her eyes filled with determination.
"Come on, sweetheart," you said, taking her hand. "How about we make some signs for Dad’s upcoming games, hm?"
The night was spent with you both sitting down at the kitchen table, Evie with her crayons and you with a warm cup of tea.
As promised, Quinn called every single day and once he returned he was bombarded with hundreds of pictures Evie had drawn just for him.

Personally how touched starved do you think Arlecchino and Furina are? Like one has been alone for 500 years and the other killed her best friend and probably doesn’t think she deserves love.

Oh I think they'd be VERY fucking touch starved, except the two are like. On two different sides of the scale
On one end, you've got Furina. On the other end, you've got Arlecchino. What they're on a scale of? How "vocal" they would be in terms of it
Furina would be on the VERY vocal side, and by that I mean she WILL monologue to you about how she needs your touch or else she will PERISH from a lack of you-contact
Furina puts the back of her hand on her forehead, "My beloved wants to leave me be! Oh, you torture me..."
"Babe, I'm literally only going to get a glass of water."
"You forget my domain over the element!" She moves to throw herself onto you, wrapping her arms around your neck and causing you to laugh as you caught her, "I can satisfy your needs easily!"
"At that rate I'll be better off taking a shower!"
"It gets the job done!"
But she's not vocal for no reason :((( 500 years spent in self-isolation in order to save her people takes a HUGE toll on you so the moment Furina had realised that she doesn't have to do the whole song and dance all over again, she just can't help the want—the need—to basically be attached to you
It's not just because she wants to make up for lost time after FINALLY being able to do so, but also because she's scared that one day it'll all just go poof and disappear in a distant dream. She doesn't speak of her troubles until either she decides it herself that she should or one of the members of her Salon Solitaire (Crabaletta lol) decides to conk her for it
Sometimes she'll ask if she's being a pain in the ass bc she IS aware that she's constantly wanting for you to at LEAST be near her which. If you say she is then I need to sit you down personally and slap you in NOT a fun way
Meanwhile, Arlecchino on the other hand, is VERY quiet about it. She won't say anything, nevermind doing anything. She'd restrict herself from clinging onto you as much as she'd like to
You were a vision to her, a lovely sight to see and a lovely voice to hear as you recounted your day's events. Even when you did something so mundane, something that isn't necessarily something special, Arlecchino still looked at you with such adoration.
She almost didn't notice her hand inching closer towards yours from her warm daze.
Almost.
Before she could draw it back unnoticed, however, you turned your head at just the right (or wrong) time.
"Arlecchino? Is there.. something wrong?"
..She shakes her head instead of admitting her desires, "No, my apologies, darling. I was rather captivated by your tale. Do tell me more about your friend's predicament."
And so you do, but you couldn't help but notice the longing look in her eyes.
It takes a while before she starts warming up to the idea of letting herself actually do SOMETHING. And that'll take a lot of time, patience and encouragement from her❗️❗️❗️ But trust when I say it's worth it bc she practically treats you with so much more affection and devotion than the literal archon she serves HAHA
She doesn't thinks she deserves to show physical affection, to touch you, to truly worship you and your body in every way she can—not when she has the power to hurt you, not when she's killed off the person she had cherished the most all those years ago :(
You gotta reassure her that everything's okay and that you won't disappear bc once you've done that? She's SO TOUCHY she will NOT go through the day without havign some form of contact with you
She won't do it as much in work though she has a reputation she wants to keep lmao

I don’t know if you’re allowed to say this, but if you are, who’s your favorite character in Chaos Theory?
Damn, trying to make me choose between all 6 of my beautiful adult children, huh?
Okay--
On Camp Cretaceous Yaz and Ben were my favorites, I thought Darius was sweet and cute but I wished he had stronger character arcs, and I had a soft spot for Sammy because I'm also from a Texas ranch. Kenji was fun to revise/board because he was such a doofus, but I did find him a little annoying sometimes haha. Controversial opinion... but I was just okay with Brooklynn on Camp.
On Chaos Theory-- I love EVERYONE and it is really hard for me to choose. Darius, Ben, and Brooklynn are probably tied up top though.
Darius just got so much cooler (while still retaining his sweetness), he feels much more solid as a main character, and I really liked the angst of his character arc. (His new design was also the most fun to draw)
My one qualm with Ben on Camp Cretaceous is that we were pushed to make him always really sure of himself and kind of Rambo-esque after he became 'new Ben,' and I always felt that some of it was a front/that he was still a child and should have been allowed to have more moments where his overconfident facade cracked and his anxiety showed. I think the team finally hit the perfect blend of his two personalities in Chaos Theory, and I love him even more in this show (and his new design was always the funniest-- and really fun to draw).
Brooklynn skyrocketed to being one of my favorites (even though she was largely off screen) simply because of how interesting I found the direction of her character post Camp. The way her presence permeates the narrative even though she's gone was something I always felt was really well written (I also really loved her new design)!
I still really love Kenji, Sammy, and Yaz though! Kenji also went up some pegs for me this show because I just... love messy character angst haha. I know a lot of people think his design (especially the hair) is a downgrade, but I do think it fits what he's going through.
And Sammy and Yaz!! I love their new designs so much, and I'm happy their arcs about how they've been dealing with trauma turned out well (I was also happy we got to see Sammy's ranch and that it actually looked like the hill country instead of a desert in arizona haha). They will always be my favorite sapphic couple. <3

Ya’ll are probably so tired of seeing Emma, I’m sorry but I'm literally an Oc artist, what can I say?? (This is a bit of a long one, I hope you like reading! Don’t worry there are pictures too lol! 🖼 I spent a lot of energy on all of these, my brain is very soupy rn tbh)
Ask #1:
🌖 — Sea Salt & Hibiscus Flowers . . .
(I’ll fix the coloring on this one later, I literally didn’t see how much of his colors I actually failed to put in until now. Fixed it 🙃 — Also why are reptiles so much harder to draw than mammals???)
🌗 — Sincerly Emma will throw on anything that feels comfortable. Most times it’s not even her’s. Although in public she dresses better than she feels. Sometimes you’ll see her walking around with sun glasses just to hide the bags under her eyes.
(This is just a sketch so we’ll see if I get around to finishing it later. I was struggling because Emma is supposed to be a lot taller but I didn’t measure the proportions very well. I was just trying to figure out how to draw a gosh darn grocery cart!)
🌘 — Emma is truthfully just doing her best. I don’t know how else to put it. She puts all the world’s problems on her shoulders and expects very little in return. At the end of the day she knows bad things will happen, but as long as they happen to her she doesn’t mind all that much.
She’s constantly throwing herself at problems just to keep her friends and family safe. Her worst fear is letting her team down and she likes to beat herself up if anyone where to get hurt on her watch. She’s had a lot of hospital visits and bed rest days if you know what I mean. But at the end of the day she’s still a very sad individual and isolates herself from everyone.
(It’s partially the Maned Wolf in her, they aren’t really pack animals if that makes sense)
Ofc Emma has a team that loves and cares about her, and in a way they’re like her family aside from the A.S.A. She’d do anything for them. I think it’s just a matter of not wanting to be in their way. She hates being selfish, but sometimes just a hug can heal the day’s strains.

They *all* get a chance to be featured.#Cooperation was the real end goal! However I do think these two have the best frontman energy of the group.#Or at least 'crowd favourite' energy. I also really loved hearing what people thought their vocal styles would be like!#This was probably one of my favourite polls to do and I love drawing these characters a lot B*)#I'd love to spend a bit more time in this AU so count on me bringing it back.#One thing I keep feeling like I need to redeem myself on is Madam Lan's Translucent skirt. #I’m reading volumes 14-16 of the ouran manga OOUGHHH MY HEART#I love this weird little friend group so much its unreal#like u have this charming sweeps you off your feet prince but he’s actually a huge lovable idiot with a kind heart and his friends#who are all misfits that he reached out to and drew in because of his kindness and own weirdness like that shits TIGHT BRO#and the trauma part where he has some deep seated issues with love bc he thinks that itll break a family apart like with his mom#how his family isnt allowed to be together because his mom and dad fell in love and how he says he wants to build a big house#so that way one day everyone will get along as a family like. all he wants is not to lose everyone and the only way to do that is#by maintaining a certain order.. he both wants a complete family so bad and doesnt want anything to sour between anyone#so he assigns each of his friends a family role based on how he sees them and YEAH its mostly played for giggles and tamakis#already weird so its his way of showing theyre close to him but. god damn this boy has LAYERS#it also feels kinda meta towards how found family tends to get thrown around to assign characters as 'siblings' or family roles instead of#using it to describe characters who are close enough to be each others family. cuz tamakis doing that EXACT THING in a way tht#ties in with his character and i have to say its fascinating using that within the story itself and its completely plausible#theres a lot of things i can say about ouran that are good bad and questionable but. god i love it when characters are niceys to each other#i remember i really liked the mall episode bc kyoya and haruhi got to spend time together and their relationship isnt very close#but it was really nice to see their personalities bounce off each other. i think i also wouldve liked to see haruhi alone with kaoru#i also firmly believe all of the hosts are at least a little in love with haruhi and this can be anything like endearing romantic cuz like#who DOESNT love haruhi. kyoya i think would want to study her under a microscope like his fascination with her draws him in#but im fucking obsessed with whatever haruhi and tamaki have going on because YES hes obsessed with her YES he jumps at the chance to#put her in a cute costume but haruhi? she just fucking goes with it because she knows hes fun to be around even if hes a little wacky abt i#theyre all so.
