"Why are we doing this? I know you have actual models who work for you," Neville complains, shifting awkwardly in the generous draping of liquid bronze. Harry knows more about that material than he wants to, because Draco had spent weeks getting the spellwork just right.
Pansy removes the pins from her mouth, says, "Shut up and don't move," and gets back to work.
"It's because we'll ensure that she has the most attendees out of every other junior designer. We're a publicity stunt," Ron says, rolling his eyes. "Also, why am I always in a corset?"
The pale green skirt and corset combo would be out of place with the rest of the blunt colors, except that there's not a single rounded piece of it, all of it constructed from silver edged triangles. He hates that that's something he notices now.
"Because you look good in a corset," she says, giving Neville a critical once over before moving on to Blaise. The white silk clinging to his thighs and falling off his shoulders looks the same as Tonks wore when she got married. Harry wants to ask, but he's trying to avoid drawing Pansy's attention unnecessarily. "Can we just get through the walkthrough without any bitching? For once?"
"Unlikely," Draco says, idly staring at himself in the mirror. Harry is biased, but he thinks he looks delicious. The intricate lace is patterned to look like dragon scales has been dyed a soft pink and the dress's back is a dozen delicate, interlocked golden chains.
Harry's wearing the sister piece, a silver dress made of chainmail but light as cotton and with a blue lace cape trailing behind him.
He's terrified of tripping and breaking something and leaving behind Draco to mourn him when Pansy kills him in cold blood.
