FREAKING STARLO-

There's gonna be spoilers, so-

Okay so, he's in Undertale Yellow, the Undertale fangame that came out in December of last year. And tbh I was preoccupied with other things so. Yeah that's why I didn't get into UTY until the last couple days of January. (But it did mean there's a lotta fanart now so. Huehue)

STARLO HIMSELF THO. HOUGH GOSH I love him. He's the Sheriff and leader of the Fiesty Five, running a small town in the Wild East. He goes by North Star, then, his sheriff persona.

(Sorry for the crappy screenshot, I was taking a very excited video seeing him for the first time in-game)

Like from the get-go you can tell he's kinda a dork. And a lovable one too! In game, he sees that Clover's a human, takes them, and locks poor Martlet (the blue bird girl) in jail. She's a Royal Guard, having her there is a risk. And Star just deceives Clover is gonna be his Deputy. All because they're human! He also says this and it's funny

(He's talking about those scenes in Westerns when humans ride horses into the sunset, but bc he doesn't know anything about the surface, he thinks they're riding into a big ball of fire. And I said that the horses were fireproof too, it's just funny!)

He takes you on all these silly missions just to train you/Clover as his Deputy. He gets you a gun, makes you have a "dual" with him (he pronounces "duel" as "dual"), does a train trolley problem. Says this

Best line in the game, hands down.

When he makes Clover the Deputy, his friends are VERY much upset. Thinking it was just a regular spot. Stars goes to get something, the Fiesty Four battle Clover, he comes back VERY much upset, and they talk about how much he's changed since Clover arrived. One by one they just. Quit. And he's very much upset about this.

You follow him and FREKAING BATTLE TIME-

His theme "Showdown!" is SO GOOD-

Asking why Clover walked into town, talking about how the sheriff stuff is pointless and "monsterkind's hero" is a title covered in blood. Cuz then he's realizing stuff. He wants to make amends and fix his posse. He wants to fix his relationships. Thinking that taking Clover's soul is the only way to do it. Even tying them up in a lasso so it's harder for them to move. (You make him shoot his own lasso) (he's also left handed :3)

Badda bing badda boom, one shot left, and before he shoots you, his childhood friend Ceroba comes around and tells him to stop it. It's a really good scene, her telling him that no one hates him, just the reckless sheriff front he's made. She wants the real him back, the innocent farmer he was. He accepts and just-

HE'S SO FREAKING CUTE????? LIKE OH MY GOSH!!!

Yeah he's a nerd. But gosh dangit I love him!!

You can even go to the farm where he's from and see his family. He's got a brother, mother, and father. Turns out he's a really good singer! Oughh-! Also his mom said he used to have a crush on Ceroba, but was devastated when she got engaged to someone else. Ah, such is heartbreak.

Gosh he's adorable.

He's also a really good friend. He made the Wild East town and North Star front just to make Ceroba and others happy. Give them a slice of the surface when there was none. Distract them, make them happy. It's all one big silly roleplay thing and it does make the monsters there happy.

Also in genocide you don't even fight him. You have a duel and shoot him. If he does it first, he has a BB gun and admits that he's a fraud and thanks you for making him feel cool for a second before Ceroba finds you and comforts him as he's dying.

Which is funny, cuz he didn't seem all that opposed to literature shooting an innocent child and throwing TNT at them!! All for breaking up his posse too. Although he kinda did it himself, and he is a lot more emotionally charged. But it's still crazy to think he would lasso and shoot at an innocent kid, but in Genocide, faced with a literal murderer, he just shoots you with a toy gun. Like DUDE YOU HAVE YOUR OWN REVOLVER. USE THAT!! Even if it's not a fight and just a QTE, at least have him shoot the kid-

Uhm uh uh...I have no excuse for this 😔 PPG self insert who is secretly an alien! I imagine her intro episode would have her having a little romance with the professor when he comes into a bookstore she works at/owns and the girls being (rightfully, given the prof's dating history) suspicious of her. Wacky capers ensue where they try to prove that she's up to no good, only to find that she genuinely is just chilling and wants to live a normal life on earth!

Well, normal as she can, now that she knows this family! I think she'd fit right in 😉

Jack in my Pouring Rain AU vs Jack in my Sunnyverse AU

Gonna ramble a bit here about the two portrayals, there’s a lot more typing space here so I will also be using my posts as a bit of infodump sometimes! ↓

For starters, I really adore Jack as a design and character, there’s not much I wanted to alter about him in the design department, so all changes are subtle!

✦ Starting with Pouring Rain!Jack!

This guy’s probably the closest to how he’s presented in game honestly— still manipulative, still colorful, probably a bit more deranged because his sunshine keeps forgetting shit.

Art wise, I wanted to really keep the colors on him vibrant, but also give him sort of a dim vibe as well. His hair is a bit more reflective of turquoise highlights with a gradient of a muted darker blue at the tips.

I like to imagine Jack uses colorful knives (if he most certainly has to use one). I have colorful knives in my house, it just seemed right as I was doing the dishes one day. He also changed his paints ever so slightly, because stars are very important to him.

He’s also rather glitchy when upset, but not that of a computer glitch when it happens.. more of like… something that’s being rewinded and re-written over numerous times, no?

Or, maybe I have no idea what I’m talking about!

And finally, the colorful paint on him!

Rain!Jack’s original sunshine way back nowhere was actually a graffiti artist, so does Jack know how to paint? It’s not like he would say, but it is a bit easier to play off a mysterious red stain if you’re covered in all the other colors.

✦ Ending with Sunnyverse!Jack!

Sunnyverse, is quite frankly a bit of a community like idea. The premise being quite similar to the same notion of Spiderverse, where multiple of the characters can exist and vibe but may look different, while still following a canon of sorts. It’s basically like showing off your characters and AUs in your style!

(Honestly, with a name like that, maybe I should draw Spider-Jack… *Sunrise Spider?*)

This Jack is a divergent of the idea where the fictional world of CloudyTown is real. ← This information also is a slight spin-off of an unofficial AU called “Sunny Time Town” by artist Sauce! I will also be using “Sunnyverse” for the official name of my AU that includes my ocs that switch up the story in a non-yandere manner!

SV!Jack here rocks a bowtie and suspenders with the design paying a full tribute to a sketch I did in March! I’ve seen a few comments relating it to his teaching profession… and now I can’t I see it, haha!

To contrast Rain!Jack, SV!Jack’s hair is a nice pure blue gradient that dips into indigo/purple at the tips!

I added his belt as a tie in both of them (don’t ask why the belt is doing a :3), but now I hear the belt is sentient… that’s a cool idea I seen around, I gotta learn about that!

TD World Tour Alenoah AU... Where Noah is immune to Alejandro's fake charm... Instead, Noah gets charmed by the true Alejandro's quirks and dorky interests like dinosaurs and puppets... How would Alejandro feel about Noah only liking Alejandro, when Alejandro is being himself?... Especially since Alejandro's family shuns him for being himself? 🦕🦖🦕

Now you're speaking my language.

One of the most common running themes in all/near enough all Alenoah central AUs is having Noah be the first person to see past Alejandro's persona and actually appreciate the person he is, or at the very least prefer the real Alejandro to his mask of perfection. It's one of the draws of the ship itself; the idea that Noah, being the blunt person that he is, can and will wage a war of attrition against the walls Alejandro has built up around himself- not just to keep others out, but also to repress the more authentic aspects of himself to himself- in order to reveal the person beneath.

I touched on this a little bit in a previous post concerning this AU, but Alejandro and Noah both see glimpses of the other that they try so valiantly to hide- in Noah's case, Alejandro sees hints of the scheming mindset he's pretty much supressed under layers of apathy and sloth (as Noah's laziness is one of his biggest character foils, alongside his snarky attitude), and in Alejandro's case he reveals tid bits of information about the Real Alejandro, not the persona he's usually portraying himself as, which is enough to humanise him in Noah's eyes.

They both become People Of Interest in each other's eyes, because they're both puzzles to be solved. Alejandro's curious and competitive to a fault so he'd dedicate himself to unravelling the layers behind Noah's stony exterior, as he'd see Noah's continued distance as a challenge. That's a given. But the topic at hand here is Noah's interest in Alejandro.

Because Noah's not exactly competitive, so why would he be so interested in unveiling the real Alejandro? That's simple; Noah values authenticity. Look at his friendship group, it consists of people who are unapologetically themselves. Noah is also unapologetically himself, in all of his sarcastic glory. So of course he's see flickers of the real, authentic Alejandro and his natural inquisitiveness would be piqued- a novelty for him, as Noah's staunch apathy generally tends to override any semblance of curiosity.

So Noah goes out of his way to make notes of the small interests Alejandro offhandedly mentions at one point or another, like palaeontology or puppetry or even his fifteen-step skincare routine- things that Alejandro shows genuine excitement or passion over that shines through the cracks of his perfect persona. He sees the dorky giddiness Alejandro experiences when Noah lets him ramble on about how Jurassic Park was incredibly inaccurate from a scientific standpoint but monumental for people's interest in palaeontology (or something along those lines, I don't know I'm not a dinosaur nerd) and suddenly the annoyingly flirtatious faker he's spent the better half of his time on the jet is A Whole Ass Person with interests and passions and a sense of depth he's been so bereft of until now. Suddenly Alejandro's more than just the antagonist of the show Noah's working on, he's an interesting person that the bookworm finds himself wanting to know more about. And, perhaps, he finds himself growing genuinely fond of the person behind the mask.

And he uses those notes to prompt Alejandro into sharing more of himself, the real authentic Alejandro, in the privacy of their interactions.

At first, Alejandro's fairly oblivious to what Noah's doing, since he's so caught up in his own enjoyment of Noah's company plans to essentially do the same to Noah that he barely notices his own tricks being used against him.

Of course, he's also just elated at being able to infodump to someone who isn't outright penalising him for doing so; not that I think Alejandro is even aware that what he's doing is infodumping, nor the fact that he's so obviously autistic, because his family is a particular brand of awful that would never let him get a proper diagnoses and in all likelihood forced him to mask/supress his symptoms.

It isn't until Alejandro realises that he's shared a lot of information about himself that he (as a Burromuerto) is expected to keep close to his chest, and he sees the glimmers of satisfaction in Noah's intelligent eyes, that the archvillain catches on to the fact that he's been played. But the thing that really catches him off-guard isn't the trickery, it's the fact that Noah's done nothing with the uncharacteristic displays of vulnerability.

Alejandro can't understand why Noah hasn't taken advantage of his "weakness" yet. Inevitably leading to him confronting the assistant, as Alejandro isn't the type to "let sleeping dogs lie" so to speak, and he's still very much so in the one-track mindset of winning the competition- thus he assumes that any show of vulnerability can and will lead to his untimely elimination. But when he practically demands that Noah reveal what he's been planning, why he's been sneakily collecting information on him, all Noah can do is shrug his shoulders and say;

"I guess I just like seeing the real you. That's all."

And Alejandro doesn't know how to respond to that. No one's ever wanted the real him, he's always had to play the role of the perfect son, the perfect brother. He doesn't understand.

And like most people when they're faced with a foreign concept they have no basis of behaviour for, he lashes out.

(Okay wait so sorry I was just thinking about thay marrying Heket post and like, it's 3AM I just got this thought. The lamb can like, canonically read minds. Heket can't speak much but she can still think lmao, so out of everyone, the lamb is the only one who can actually hear what she has to say in a way. It made me EMOTIONAL so i needed to share the thought. Very sorry)

It’s ok! It’s fun getting to answer asks and splurge about my lambket hcs.

Also speaking on the lamb reading minds, I had the same hc for them when I first started drawing them and getting this ask reminded me of that and I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought of it😭. To expand on it a little bit, the lamb didn’t start reading her mind when they first met since things were still tense after everything that’s happened, and they didn’t want to invade her privacy out of respect. Others tried to convince them otherwise and say it was careless to not check in on the ex-bishop, saying that it was highly possible that she might be planning against them, however, the lamb still went out of their way to do anything they can to gain her trust. Heket was skeptical at first, and thought their gestures of kindness was just a ploy for something more malicious (it wasn’t, the lamb is just gay), but once enough time has passed and she was convinced they really meant no harm, Heket allowed them to read their mind out of convenience.

Usually Heket would tap the lamb on then shoulder once or twice to signal to them read what she wanted to say, but overtime the lamb just kinda knew when they should start reading. And since then, it’s been a lots less stressful and annoying on Hekets part to communicate with others now that she has someone willing to listen and tell others what she really means. And after getting married, it’s often common for them to just have full on conversations with each other with just the lamb reading Hekets thoughts while they happily stay by her side to listen to her talk about whatever is on her mind and listening to the bashful compliments they get from her once in a while. Ones that only the lamb has the honour of hearing.

i think a lot of people forget that the algebralians are indeed, aliens. like, they have little to no concept of time, or gender, or a lot of the integral parts of human, and by extension, object life.

they’re seemingly from space? four, x, and two all came to goiky from space, although i don’t know about how the other algebralians came to be.

four held the ENTIRE PLANET in his hand. he is without a doubt the strongest algebralian we’ve seen. it’s implied these powers are learned, as we see x is a lot less experienced and has trouble with things that come easy to four, like reviving contestants. two seemingly doesn’t know or is unable to learn, as they use a recovery center like all the other seasons.

then, how did the equation playground come to be? i personally think nine, and possibly the other numbers besides four, x, and two, arrived on goiky long before them. we can see nine has already integrated culturally, since they use a lot of 90s surfer slang. it’s possible four and x didn’t tag along because four was still busy memorizing bfdi, and two never interacts with the other algebralians period.

all algebralians are genderless, despite four and x using he/they, nine using any, etc. algebralians have no concept of gender. they’re also theoretically immortal, nine and six spent 2800 years gathering enough stone to build a boot to kick eight, having witnessed the rise and fall of an empire while they were working. also, no algebralians have ever canonically died (“why is the bfdi mouth everywhere?” is non-canon so it doesn’t count!) further supporting the idea that algebralians are immortal creatures

along with immortality, many of them also possess superpowers, although none of the non-host algebralians have ever actually used their powers, if they have any.

four is the most powerful, with the ability to revive the dead, shoot beams of light from their hands, smash contestants into deformed shapes, and merge into the environment around him, among tons of other things. two possesses similar powers, with telekinesis being the most notable one that four doesn’t have.

two is definitely an outlier. they vent to gaty about their identity problems, about how despite being a number, they hate math. they turned away from their purpose, and as a result i think they were shunned from algebralian society, or left it of their own accord. that could be why they don’t act like the rest of the algebralians. they’re a lot more mature, they keep their emotions in check, they’re not a sadistic murderer nor a childish pushover like four and x are/were. two doesn’t fit in, and that’s why they don’t talk to the rest of the algebralians anymore, why the others don’t know them.

despite algebralians being so dissimilar to us, they are similar only in one aspect. the way they shun those different to them. the ones that don’t conform to how they were “meant” to be, are cast out of where they came from, whether they wanted it or not.
