I saw this beautiful TS4 build by Gryphi yesterday and I was immediately so inspired, I had to see if I could build something like it in TS2! I was actually surprised how accurately I could replicate the rooflines - I’m so happy how this one turned out!

I made a few tweaks to accommodate TS2 build tools and also just my preferences, but it’s fairly faithful to the original. So thanks to Gryphi for such an inspiring build.

This lot comes unfurnished but with any build CC you see here attached. I highly recommend downloading the Bespoke Build and Thorpe Build sets first, as I believe both have a lot of repo’d objects and I use them heavily in this (and most) of my builds!

The driveway on this lot is also functional. This was built on a 2-step foundation (courtesy of @catherinetcjd) so make sure you have this mod so large dogs can access it.

My Sims are getting political! After so many months, I'm going back to finish up my Politics/Community Activist mod. This is actually what my Student Council mod is based on (it's basically a baby version of the Poltiics mod.) My current Sim, Arie Wang (I forgot where I downloaded this sim from but she's lovely and perfect for this storyline I'm playing out!) is in the Community Organizer career which is an Active career (like Firefighter or Stylist) and right now is working hard to push a new law in that will increase University scholarships and grants for all students.

Arie is a member of the New Earth party, one of the 4 political parties I created. New Earthers are all about the environment and focus on pushing forward environmental policies but as a mom, education is something that Arie cares about so she's been out there trying to encourage people to vote and hoping to sway voters before election day.

Different political parties have issues that they are either strong in favor of or against. If a party is against the policy, it's near impossible to sway them to vote for it so it's best to target people who are neutral and could vote either way.

I'm happy with how this customized ITF layout is coming out though I still need to make more tweaks and edits and also figure out why the active Sim's photo isn't showing (as below). Maybe also changing the title (Local Political Scanner??)

After probably doing about 40 fundraising cold calls she finally got someone to donate money. And boy did they! She's at the point in her career though when she doesn't need to be doing calls so I'm going to have her get some volunteers to do the grunt work so she can focus on making friends in City Hall to build further influence.

Once a ballot measure is put up for vote, you have 5 days to campaign before voting day. Arie has been hitting the streets every day to canvas for votes, doing campaign calls and also raising money for the party to pay for advertising (TV, radio, online, print) which is the most effective way to sway voters.

Yesterday, I added in a VFX to show when a Sim has been successfully influenced either for or against the ballot measure in question and in testing it out, I saw that Arie has actually been campaigning AGAINST the measure this whole time! Oops!

I clearly messed up with a bool somewhere but at least the influence system is working as intended.

With 7 hours until the Election period begins, and all the time and money I've spent on campaign ads, it looks like I've just accidentally doomed my town to expensive education until I can repeal the law. The Free Llamas are not going to be happy.

Also, shout out to Stable Diffusion which I used to create the Political Party Icons. I'm obsessed with this tool and loved how they turned out.

Hello guys!! I hope you are all great today!!

Yesterday I was feeling really sick, so I couldn't make the post, but here you have the 9th posepack of my simblreen 2023.

This pack is one of the two posepacks I made for "The Witching Hour". I wanted to create some poses that really scream "Halloween" when you see them and what a better way to do it than with some "spooky" posing poses for those costume parties that so many of us love.

I have made different types of poses for different portrait pictures: as a couple, as a family, a big family, for friends or just for the little ones in the house.

The best thing about these poses is that most of them can be used with fewer sims than they seem, for example: pose #1 can be used by a single sim, with pose #2 you may not have an infant or a toddler in your household and that is no a problem, for pose #3 you have different options and you can vary how many sims to pose, also with poses #4, #5 and #6, although the last one could have certain limitations.

In any case, it is up to you how to use them.

I hope you like them and can use them in each "spooky day" of your gameplays.

IMPORTANT: For those who found this posepack in "the witching hour", DOWNLOAD IT AGAIN. I had to make an adjustment for the infant in POSE #3 and I did it after the event end. I wasn't going to adjust it, but I realized that it was very difficult to pose the infant, so I decided to do it at the last minute to publish it here for you all. I hope it will be easier now to position the baby to pose.

Here it is my fully functional hamper, laundry day stuff is required but you can also have a BG compatible decorative one with the same textures. Is not fully maxis match but I tried, I'm still learning. The second swatches preview looks weird but I made it so you are able to see the insides of the hamper, some have a different color.

The one I found was: Better Schools: Online Schooling by KawaiiStacie A mod that allows your children to attend school via computer. -BUILDS- If you don't want to build your own vault, there are some vaults on the gallery that could easily be gently modified for this challenge. I looked up some builds, but I'm sure there are many more out there. If you build a vault and upload it to the gallery, tag it with #VaultTecChallenge so others doing the challenge can find it! >> Vault 148 by ChillyAcademic - This is by far the most detailed and realistic vault I have found on the gallery thus far. >> Fallout Shelter 14A by Hero_E92 - A really good-sized vault that probably doesn't need a ton of adjustment. >> Bunker by Mariedcause - A really great build that could work for this challenge very quickly. >> User RistoTCT has a set of modular vault rooms built along with a base lot to attach them to. Daan and Karin Romance Mod Alpha 1 (daarin_mod v0.1)

HUH??? SO THE DAARIN IS FINALLY REAL???

uh, yeah. apparently.

This is pretty bare bones, but I was proud enough to release it, in case some of you guys want to go through all the dialogue I made. Took me a while, there are many different options to chat with Daan :)

I feel like I am pretty satisfied with PRHVL Bop. I may add some touch-ups here and there, but It's pretty much done.

Beware, you can still compliment Daan's hair as any character, but only Karin will be able to start a conversation with him, almost as If he's only interested in her! :O

I spiced it up by including some lore about her! I plan to expand the lore of both characters since like with Marina, Levi and O'saa, I feel they are the characters that have most depth, and It would be awesome to add even more to them. (I'll probably change this dialogue to include the fact it's oversized, could get some cool dialogue out of that.)

So yeah, enjoy Daarin gang, as I deploy this Holy Friday's gift upon you. Next week school starts again, so expect mod development to reaaaally slow down. I need to focus on my studies. Sorry. At least you have this.

this as a prime example of what is wrong with simblr (and tumblr in general). this ask was sent to me within like less than a day of that post about cf going up, while I was away for the weekend and not at pc for days. I did not even see the post until right before I got this ask. yall are so damn terminally online that you lost the gd plot and cannot comprehend someone not keeping their finger on the dying pulse of the performative activism headquarters of the internet. and you definitely can't comprehend waiting for complete info or maybe just a full day before starting some reactionary bs. just peeking in here since yesterday i see that simblr is yet again so hyped up on smelling its own farts that it's turned an issue of genocide into yet another dick measuring contest of who can reblog more posts than one another the fastest so they can look more empathetic and better than anyone else. and call themselves "real activists" for being able to click the reblog button. not to mention the usual spamming anons to random people minding their own business. yall are weird as fuck and need to get a firm grip on some grass. stop making the horrific suffering of others about yourselves for once.

that being said, let me get serious for the people on here that are actually normal. for those that don't know by now, this anon seems to be referencing this post about cf, which talks about overwolf (the company that owns curseforge) donating to the IDF. But I also found this tweet by OOP made after that post that explains they have since received DMs from Overwolf stating that they have shifted their relief efforts to aiding victims that have lost their homes from the Hamas terrorist attacks exclusively and do not fund the IDF. this is a much better cause as the victims of terrorism definitely deserve to be helped, and it makes sense they would do this as an Israeli company. The DMs also clarify that it is donation based and nothing uploaded to cf (cc/mods) contributes to this effort whatsoever. As well as Overwolf/Curseforge revenue in general. So simply using curseforge does not mean that you fund or endorse genocide. OOP calls their new efforts commendable in that tweet but I am still looking into and keeping an eye on this matter since, as we know, more information could come out later that contradicts this. And since I have been away im still catching up on everything that has been posted relating to cf.

here are the pics for those that may not have Twitter. do I still support a boycott for those that want to? oh, absolutely. I know that many will still want to boycott regardless, and I'll be working to add alt links to my cc uploads as soon as possible (the ones that don't already have them) for those that don't want to use it. However, everyone I've seen wanting to boycott seems to want to do it because a) they believe overwolf is funding the IDF (apparently is not true) b) they believe having their uploads on cf or downloading from there will fund the IDF (apparently is not true) or c) overwolf itself is an Israeli company (is definitely true). therefore based on the new info we now have some may decide not to boycott after all or will still do so, it is a personal decision. will I be deleting my account there? for now, no.

to be completely honest, I'm in a really bad place financially right now, and while it isn't much, the little bit I get from cf downloads has been exclusively going towards my meds and dr appointment bills. I don't have the option right now to turn down the small amount of added income when I am currently living day to day, especially with the updated knowledge that simply having cc uploaded there does not contribute to their donation efforts in any way. I do not paywall my cc and never will and I do not ask for donations myself, so my options are somewhat limited. although I do not make cc with the aim of getting paid, I ultimately wouldn't be able to justify the sheer amount of time I spend on it if it wasn't helping me with my medical bills currently, as I am already caregiving with the majority of my time. I'm not reliant on cc making or cf to live, and I never want that to be the case god forbid, but in full transparency it is helping me with my healthcare expenses atm and I cannot afford to neglect my health anymore than I have. especially since, as established earlier, using cf does not contribute to the IDF in the first place. so I personally do not judge anyone that continues to use cf for this reason.

also, for the record so there is no confusion on my personal views, I fully support the freedom of Palestine and condemn genocide first and foremost, as well as terrorism and antisemitism. The current situation in Gaza is abhorrent and I encourage all my followers to not only reblog posts, but educate yourselves on the situation and bring it irl as you are able. Speak with the people you love as well as those you are acquainted with and bring this to this to their attention (if you feel safe to). Attend protests if you can. If you cannot, make the calls and emails to your representatives, sign petitions, and donate as you are able. I have been seeing that even spreading Palestinian culture among your loved ones and peers is helpful. So even if you are in a bad place mentally, that may be an option to spread the positive message of the Palestinian people in your everyday life. I'll be reblogging the posts I already did earlier and some new ones too so you can find those updated links. I will be tagging it with palestine so that it can be found easily on my page.

In addition, be kind. To others and yourself. Try to see the full damn picture instead of a snapshot. What someone posts on tumblr of all places does not reflect an entire person's being, or their efforts, or their heart. Yelling your head off on this dying website does not equal activism, and running your mental health into the ground taking on the weight of the world doesn't give you any more control over the issues we face- I learned that the hard fucking way, believe me. By all means share as much as you like, every bit helps (especially if you have a lot of followers), but keep in mind that it certainly doesn't make you better than anyone else. I know it's extremely difficult to feel helpless and you want to feel like you're doing something, but just make sure you're doing the right things for the right reasons. Please do not fucking attack random people for not responding within one business day of the latest info coming out. And take time away from all this shit to breathe. You can't help anyone if you're fucked up yourself. especially for those of us that already face discrimination and bigotry every day irl, I know it is exhausting. Remember to also care for yourselves through all this.

Modding:

Making my own mods is a very new thing for me. I usually just download from Nexus and install various mods to the game, but to actually tweak the game through my own effort is a different experience. Sure, I can design, animate and strategize a plan that could potentially annex a whole country, but to be honest, my brain just goes brrr when it comes down to technical stuff. It’s a weakness, I must say.

Here is my progress at modding for which I am happy with how it is turning out. A friend of mine from college asked if I could come up with a different take on the CP2077 campaign, but instead of doing that, I decided to start a Myers election campaign.

Despite having no clue with where to start, I posed a challenge to myself by digging through the game file on Wolvenkit to obtain the materials I wanted to change. The Palladia Center billboard is the most amusing thing to edit so far, while the ads that are scattered around the city are quite a surprise, so to speak. Especially the ones that look static from afar but animate in close proximity as the workaround for these is different from the other texture files I’ve edited. The Milfgaard atlas file came in handy for this project! 😂

I just love how modding this game taps on both sides of my brain, although admittedly, I lack on the technical side.

Virtual Photography

Yesterday, I decided to try Frans Bouma’s Reshade. I am strict with the medium I use for editing– avoiding to subject myself to numerous tools simultaneously since I want to master things one at a time. For virtual photography, I approach this department the most basic way: vanilla shots > Adobe Lightroom > ✨cinematics✨ However, I realized that this is not enough, so now I am trying to learn Reshade to amp my shots. Also, I am considering upgrading my pc as it is a potato for the time being.

Writing/VP Storytelling

If you’ve been following my posts, by now, you’d sense my evident obsession with Kusie and visualizing them in the most romantically tragic way possible.

I don’t write– well not anymore, but one of my plans is to connect all of my shots and weave a tragic plot for this troglocouple. The goal: to punch viewers in the gut (jk… or not) No, really, my goal with this is to approach virtual photography with an all too familiar method, which is film making, but technically different because the final outputs are just static images. I want viewers to feel as if they’re watching a movie, being present at the scene, to be at the center of tension between Rosalind and Kurt.

The recolors

None of the textures I used are my original work. Please refer to the set for Maxis shapes for full credits and details on what I edited.

All recolors are available for all clothing categories. You'll have to choose if you wan them standalone or repo'd to the AF recolors from that set. Exception: the Melodie9 fat EF (efFat) recolors are either standalone or repo'd to the EF recolors from said set (because elder boobs require their own textures).

All recolors are BSOK'd (even the DT ones) and sortindexed so that they will show up one set after the other at the back of their respective BSOK sections of your CAS catalog. If you have no idea what I just said, don't worry about it, it just means that downloading these outfits won't make your CAS catalog look like a jumbled mess.

Since these outfits show quite a bit of skin, for them to look as intended on your sims I recommend that you use them with showerproof skins suited to custom body shapes, at least in the case of the trans body shapes.
