Alex: You’re not hiding them from me or something, right? Brodie: Now why would I do that? Alex: What if he’s forgotten about me… Brodie: I’m sure he’s just busy, kiddo. Alex: Busy forgetting me. Brodie: Tch-.. don’t wander off, alright? Alex: But-… Brodie: Don’t! @julie-n-phantoms requested: I saw this really cute idea once, about Willie having a whole bunch of different fun flavored chapsticks and making Alex guess what they were when they kissed. So maybe that, and Willie just keeps using it as an excuse to kiss Alex at the most random times and poor Alex keeps bluescreening?
This is so cute omg I love it! It ended up kind of short because I’m extremely tired and haven’t written Willex in a while, but I’m still very happy with how it turned out. Thank you for the request and sorry it’s taken me so long to get round to it, I hope you enjoy! Title from I Kissed a Girl by Katy Perry (ofc lmao).
The Taste of His Cherry Chapstick
Not for the first time, Alex found himself questioning exactly how the rules around ghosts worked. He had been a ghost for quite some time now and he kept thinking that he should really have these things figured out, but being dead was a lot trickier than it seemed. Alex could sit on chairs, but he could also walk right through them; he could change his clothes, but he still hadn’t figured out how his clothes became invisible to lifers just like he was; he didn’t have a body, but he could still get hurt (he had Caleb to thank for cluing him in on that one). He had long ago accepted that the rules of being a ghost would always be hazy and muddled and that sometimes he would just have to get on with it, but every now and then something would happen and it would totally stump him.
Like right now. Willie was putting chapstick on and Alex was simply could not wrap his head around it.
“Why do you need to do that?” he asked Willie, breaking the soft silence between them. They were sat in the studio on the sofa together, Willie with his legs casually crossed over Alex’s lap, lying back as he applied the chapstick.
Willie shrugged easily, popping the cap back on and slipping it into his pocket. (Pockets were another ghost thing Alex didn’t understand and he might have spiralled into that a little more if he hadn’t been so fixated on the chapstick.)
“Stops my lips getting chapped,” Willie said. “It’s kinda in the name.”
“Yeah, I know that,” Alex replied, “but you’re a ghost. Can your lips even get chapped?”
“Yeah, that’s why I bought the chapstick,” Willie explained, meeting Alex’s bewildered look with an amused smirk. “That and the fact that it’s a nice flavour. Do you want to test it?”
Alex shook his head violently. “Absolutely not. I don’t trust it. How can we still use it even when we’re dead? There are some things that should not cross the line between life and the afterlife, and this is one of them.”
Willie giggled. “Alex, it’s literally just chapstick.”
“I know that. I’m not using it.”
Willie rolled his eyes affectionately, but then the amused smirk he’d had on his face morphed into something much more mischievous. Alex knew that look – it meant Willie had got an idea and there was absolutely no way of telling whether or not it was a good one.
“Well,” Willie said slowly, sitting up and shuffling so that he could properly look Alex in the eye, “there’s more than one way you could try it out.”
“How?” Alex asked sceptically.
Willie’s only response was to lean forward, that devilishly cute little smirk still on his face, and press a sweet, chaste kiss to Alex’s lips. It took Alex by surprise and was over before he could even kiss Willie back as Willie pulled away with a soft, self-satisfied smile. Alex, meanwhile, was still struggling to process what had happened. It wasn’t like he and Willie had never kissed before, but the fact that he hadn’t been expecting it combined with how brief it was and how happy Willie looked to have solved the chapstick issue meant that his mind was lagging a little as it tried to catch up. It did not help that Willie was beaming at him, looking effortlessly adorable.
“So?” Willie prompted after Alex had been silently staring at him with his mouth open in shock for almost a minute. “What flavour do you think it is? Do you like it?”
Alex dragged his mind back down from where it had been launched into the heavens. He reminded himself that he was here, with Willie in the studio, that conversations only worked if both people were talking, that staring was rude, and that there had in fact been a point to the kiss. He cleared his throat, trying to school his features back to neutrality but knowing he failed when Willie giggled, and then licked his lips.
“Um… is it cherry?” he guessed. His mind was still a little foggy and more focused on the fact that Willie had kissed him rather than what flavour the chapstick was.
Willie grinned, digging the chapstick out of his pocket again and showing Alex the label on the tube. “Yeah, man! You’re right, great job!”
As Willie settled back into his original position with his legs kicked over Alex’s lap, Alex pushed his momentary panic out of his mind and tried to be normal again. He had thought it would be a one-off, that one kiss and his one guess, and that would be the end of it. But apparently, Willie had other ideas because it just kept happening over and over again.
The second time it happened was in the middle of the night. Willie had got the bright idea of going to the museum at midnight to see all the art and exhibits in the dark. It had turned out to be an amazing idea – the low light gave every painting and sculpture a completely different energy, some more sinister, others infinitely more sad, some seeming so different to how they were during the day that it would have been hard to tell they were the same piece of art at all. Alex followed Willie around the museum with an affectionate smile on his face the whole time, a loving warmth in his chest as he listened to Willie talk about all the art and what it meant and who made it. It was always endearing whenever Willie talked about art; his passion and enthusiasm and the way his face positively lit up was enough to make Alex fall in love a thousand times over.
It was going so well and Alex felt unbelievably lucky that he got to be the one there with Willie. But then Willie stopped talking for a moment and Alex watched him reach into his pocket and pull out his chapstick. He couldn’t help the way his mind wandered to the last time this had happened, when Willie had pressed that one gentle kiss to his lips and backed away. When he saw Willie’s eyes light up, he knew he was thinking of the same thing.
“Want to try?” Willie asked. It was an innocent enough question, but they both heard the implication behind it – Willie was asking for another kiss.
Alex loved kissing Willie, but it still made him nervous every time, mostly because he couldn’t believe someone as incredible as Willie would actually want to kiss him. So momentarily, his nerves caught up with him and he couldn’t reply to Willie, not with words at least. He gave a quick nod before swallowing his nerves and cupping Willie’s jaw to pull him into a kiss.
He made sure this one lasted longer than the other, but it still wasn’t more than a few seconds. Alex tried not to pout when Willie pulled away, but smiled to himself when Willie rested their foreheads together.
“What flavour do you think it was?” Willie asked quietly.
Oh yeah, that was what Alex was meant to be figuring out. Well, he didn’t think he could really be blamed for forgetting that detail when just a moment ago he’d been kissing the love of his afterlife. Again, his mind took a ridiculous amount of time to get past the excitement and giddiness of the kiss and actually focus on the question he’d been asked.
“Is that cola?” he asked after a minute or two.
Willie dropped a feather-light kiss to the tip of Alex’s nose (and Alex was not too proud to admit it made him go slightly weak in the knees) and then pulled back with a smile. “You’re two for two. You’re getting good at this game, hotdog.”
“We’ll have to keep playing so I can get even better,” Alex replied. It might have been smooth if not for the fact that he was blushing so profusely that he could literally feel the heat in his face, and his voice was a little pitchy with a cruel mixture of nerves and the awkwardness that came with not being very good at flirting.
Willie didn’t mention it though. He just smiled softly, squeezed Alex’s hand, and said in a low voice, “Oh, we’re definitely going to keep playing.”
The third time it happened, Alex wasn’t expecting it at all. Half because they weren’t alone, and half because he hadn’t seen Willie put the chapstick on.
Julie and the Phantoms had just wrapped up a gig. Flynn had hired them to play at her birthday party (well, less ‘hired them’ and more the fact that the boys had wanted to give her a birthday present but they were all ghosts which made things like that very difficult, so they and Julie had offered to provide live music at her party instead) and it had gone brilliantly. Not only was the crowd enormous because Flynn had invited practically the whole school – which meant the band would get tons of exposure – but they had clearly been loving the music too. They were easily the best crowd the band had ever played too.
But maybe Alex was biased – he tended to say every crowd was the best crowd just as long as Willie was in it.
Willie and Flynn hadn’t actually met because they were yet to find a way of making Willie visible to lifers, but Flynn had heard enough stories about “Alex’s super cool skateboarder ghost boyfriend” to know that he could be counted as a friend, so he had been invited. As always, Alex had sought him out in the crowd and played like he was only playing to Willie. That was always when he performed his best.
When they finally finished their set and headed into the makeshift backstage area (which was really just Flynn’s bedroom), Alex barely had time to register what was going on as Willie came running into the room, grabbed Alex’s face and pressed a hard kiss to his lips. Alex distantly registered a few cheers from his friends, but he was too distracted to bother telling them off. All that mattered was the fact that Willie was kissing him and it was even more of a rush than the performance had been.
When they finally pulled away, Willie breathed, “You killed it up there! I swear, I’ll never get tired of hearing you guys play. I’m proud of you.”
“If you’re proud of all of us then how come only Alex gets a kiss?” Luke asked. Alex knew that he was joking, but he still bundled Willie up protectively in his arms, ignoring the way that just elicited laughter and ‘awwww’s from his friends.
“You liked it, then?” Alex asked quietly. He knew Willie always loved their performances, but it always felt amazing to hear it.
“I loved it, just like I love you,” Willie whispered back. Alex melted a little. “Did you like it?”
“Like what?” Alex asked. “The performance?”
“No,” Willie said, that sly smirk back on his face. Suddenly Alex realised what was going on, how he’d been caught off-guard. “My chapstick. Did you like the flavour?”
This one was totally unfair. Alex hadn’t know he was supposed to be thinking about the chapstick. He’d been so caught up in Willie that it had been the very last thing on his mind. Briefly, he entertained the idea of kissing Willie again to try and get another taste, but he knew if he did that he probably wouldn’t be able to stop and he wasn’t so keen to do that while his friends were still in the room, even if they weren’t paying attention anymore.
“That’s cheating!” he said. “I didn’t know we were playing.”
“You’ve gotta guess, hotdog,” Willie returned with a laugh, “those are the rules.”
“You never told me there were rules.”
“You never asked.”
“Okay, that’s fair,” he admitted reluctantly. “Was it… I don’t know. Blueberry?”
“Not even close,” Willie said. He pressed another kiss to Alex’s lips and pulled away before Alex could lose himself in it, which was disappointing but probably a good thing.
He tasted it this time, doing his best to focus on it, but it was very difficult with Willie so close and so cute. Still, the proud smile he got from Willie when he finally guessed watermelon made his restraint and effort completely worthwhile.
From then on, he learned to expect it. To look forward to it too. He went shopping with Willie to buy new multipacks of fun flavours (though shopping was another weird thing as a ghost because even though they left money on the counter it felt a lot more like shoplifting) and they continued their guessing game for months and months. But truth be told, it had started to feel less like a game and more just an excuse to kiss each other. It took another month or two for Alex to realise that had probably been Willie’s plan all along anyway – when he asked Willie about it, the laughter he was met with was more than enough answer.
But he wasn’t complaining. He got to kiss his boyfriend all he wanted, and neither of them ever got chapped lips.

Hey Diary - Part 4
PART 1, PART 2, PART 3 and SIDE STORY 1 of the Hey Diary Series
The day ended unexpectedly fun. Everyone was so confused why Keith and I had been laughing together, eating together and even sitting side by side in class today as if Keith never had bullied me. Some even tried to confront us, asking if Keith held me hostage. Keith had been dragging me all around with him. He even asked me to play ball with Peter and Tom, who seemed more closer than usual. I would make assumptions that my recent changes are still affecting them, but I already had deleted that log, and these two would, time by time, give hints that they’re nothing more than a friend, so I shrugged it off.
Tumblr media
On my way home, I couldn’t get the fun out of my system. I finally felt so free to move. It’s like I can finally do whatever I want and be whatever I want to be.
Then I suddenly remembered what Keith had asked me this morning.
“Make me old enough to be a teacher for a day.”
It got me thinking about what he’s planning to do once more. It’s not that I don’t trust Keith. It’s just that I’m wondering what his goal is. It’s probably just because he wants to experience being old, or being a teacher. He looked so exhilarated when I told him all about the Diary App, so I’m pretty sure he just wants to give it a try.
At home, I didn’t waste anymore time to tinker with the app as I am very tired and I already want to fall asleep. I carefully wrote down on the app, thinking of the desired outcome I am aiming for.
Monday
Hey Diary,
Today was fun. It felt like I was friends with Keith, Peter and Tom ever since the first day we met. We all had fun together and it felt like all my problems are fixed. This morning, I talked to Keith about this Diary App. I have trusted Keith on this, and I do hope he wouldn’t take that for granted. He was super amazed with this app and the ability of it to change reality and he specifically gave me one request.
I wish that would come true, I wish Keith would turn into the person he want him to be just for a day, and that he would be aware of any changes that may occur.
With that properly typed out, I pressed save, then in just a few seconds, I lost consciousness on my bed.
---------
Tumblr media
As soon as Felix fainted in his room, Keith was lying on his bed in the frat house, tossing and turning as he feel his body contort in uncomfortable ways. It wasn’t painful. It just felt like his body is growing far more foreign in every seconds that pass by. It’s like his body wanting to grow numb, but he can still feel pain if he try to pinch himself. With his fingers still pinching his cheeks, he noticed hair poking out to them. He proceeded to feel his face with both his hands, realizing that he’s growing a full beard. Finally recognizing what’s going on, he stopped moving around, and he instead just lied on his back and let it all happen.
He moved his hands down to his growing torso, feeling each muscles expand in his touch. He’s growing, that’s for sure, and it’s not just his body. His mind started to fog up a little, making him wince for a bit.
“I should be working on my lessons for tomorrow-” He blurted out unconsciously. He stopped himself midway, realizing what he had just said. That was the first time he said that. And not only that he meant he’ll study for a lesson, he knows he meant that he’s the one teaching them tomorrow.
Tumblr media
He finally decided to stand up. His eyes widened when he saw that it had suddenly gone dark. Not only that, but his beddings changed. His shock soon changed into amusement when we quickly see the night change into day then back to night simultaneously, starting off slow, then it sped up. Even the weird feelings all over his body start to feel more prominent. Memories of years of teaching poured out into his brain. Names of all the student he should know popped out in his mind. Charles, that up-to-no-good student but gets straight As in his class; Marie, that campus nerd who kept asking him weird questions; Lawrence, that jock who needs to keep up with his quizzes. Keith already knew some of these students, but he started to see them in a different light. These are the students he teach, not his friends, not his classmates, not his football teammates.
Keith fell back on his knees as he started to feel tiredness.
Tumblr media
It was exhausting feeling all of these happen in just a few minutes. It hurts his eyes to see the outside change between night and day as if like flashing images. His vision started to blur and in replace to his clear sight, a thick round glasses appear on his face.
He remember finishing college and finally started his first practice teaching. Now he’s a fully pledged professor. Everyone liked him. He can even remember students confessing their feelings for him, but of course, declining these for his job. He can remember going into classrooms, not to sit with the crowd, but to stand in front of them. He knows how to make a hard topic fun and he knows his students enjoy his class as much as how he loves to teach.
Tiredness was replaced with pleasure as he arched his back, placing both hands on his crotch, then giving a loud satisfying moan. Feeling his cock ballooned through his shorts. He slowly humped against his hands as he put more pressure on them.
He remember tons of hook ups from college up to recent. Remembering women bouncing on him, kissing him passionately, touching him with deep romantic and sexual connection. These thoughts of women is making him hard. His colleagues had been asking him why he haven’t been properly dating anyone yet, or even planning to marry anyone since he’s already nearing age of marriage, but he just enjoys having flings with a lot of people more than sticking to one, at least, for now. He knows when he will find that right person, and that person has not come yet.
He realized that both of his hands are already in his underpants, pawing that hard cock with one hand, while the other is teasing his tip. He finally had let both of his hands stroke his large shaft. He pulled his cock out of his shorts, then finally gave into pleasure.
“A-Ah! Yeah! Damn!” He cussed in his new deeper voice. Not only that he noticed his voice, he realized that his cursing got more softer, less of that slurs, but more of that expression used to show immense satisfaction. “Aww.. This feels so...”
He cut himself as he finally real his climax, cumming all of what seemed like a 14 year stock of cum all over the floor. The cum stain on the floor disappeared soon enough and his room straightened up more. Finally the quick changing of time came to a full stop.
It was morning and it’s time to take a shower and go to school.

Tumblr media
Wish was completed. Please take a picture and attach to the log to confirm change and to keep the new reality.
I stared at the pop-up message in my phone. Peter and Tom are laughing beside me while they eat their lunch. I haven’t seen Keith since morning. I’m kinda worried if I messed up with something. The suspense is killing me and I don’t like this. Tom waved a hand in front of me.
“Dude. You’re been staring in your phone since the time you got here. You fine?” He raised his eyebrows.
“Yeah. I’m fine. Just wondering where Keith has gone to.” I said.
“Keith? Who’s Keith?” Tom asked, before giving me a shocked face. “You don’t mean Professor Keith, right?” He chuckled, “Didn’t know he’s your type.” He joked.
I gave him a confused look, then realizing what he meant, I quickly tried to reply back. “N-No! It’s not like that-”
“Tom, don’t tease him. Let him like whoever he likes.” Peter laughed.
“I mean, I should’ve been saying the same. But then, who wouldn’t fall head over heels for Professor Keith? He’s damn ripped. Unlike the other professors here who focus on growing their stomach and ego, more than growing their muscles.” Tom continued eating his food.
Keith’s a professor now, huh? I guess it worked.
After lunch, we proceeded to class. More than usual, everyone had been talking about Keith. I was sitting on my chair, still staring in my phone as it display the same message. I haven’t used this phone on anything else yet.
My attention switched to Alex who walked in front of me. I haven’t seen Alex in 2 days. He looks like he wants to ask me something. I looked at him and he opened his mouth. “Hey, Felix, uhm... Can we talk-”
“Okay, class back to your seats.”
A deep voice came booming through the room. Everyone sat back to their chairs, including Alex who looks disappointed.
I looked at the man by the whiteboard. He was wearing a denim dress shirt and a black jeans. His round glasses flare with the florescent light in the room. Everyone in the room is staring at him. Most girls are looking at him with hearts in their eyes.
The man dropped his things on the table, then started roaming his eyes around the room. “Before we start our lesson. Felix, a word.” He called onto me. I looked around to see everyone looking to my direction, most of them in shock. “Come now.” He said, walking out the room.
I hurried out to follow him somewhere. He didn’t bother looking back, and I just rushed to follow him. He finally stopped where there are barely no students around. He sat down by the window and stared at me. I just stared at him back, looking from his head to toe. He scuffed and gave me a short chuckle.
“Take a picture, it’ll last longer.” He grinned.
“I- Uhm. Sorry, prof. I don’t swing-”
“Nah! I’m messing with you, man!” He laughed. “It’s me! Keith! Well, it’s Professor Keith for you now.”
Tumblr media
My eyes widened. This man is Keith. It worked. I mean why am I so surprised right now? I’m the one who knows about this Diary App.
“I’m enjoying this knowledge so much! I know about A LOT of stuff I never knew before. So this is how it feels to be a professor.” He flexed, touched his muscles, and basically showed off. He pulled out an apple and tossed it around. “A students gave this to me today. I never received any offer from anyone.”
“You like it?” I asked him.
“I like it? I LOVE IT! Though, I might not stay like this forever, at least I don’t want to.” He replied.
I raised my eyebrows. “Why?” I asked him.
“Well... For now I want to enjoy being this kind of adult.” He answered.
He stopped for a while, running his fingers against his chin. He then took a bite from the apple he was holding, chewing it thoroughly, then swallowing.
“The reason why I’m asking your help is... I want to experience being different people for the whole week.”

Tumblr media
This is a weird idea, even for Alex. A night out with his cast mates isn’t unusual, and Y/N has gone along on plenty of group dinners with Alex, Jared and Jensen (that were essentially double dates) before, but they usually ended by closing out the hotel bar or crashing in someone’s guest room. They had never ended up at a proper club before, let alone planned a whole evening around going to a specific one. But that’s the plan tonight.
When Alex informs her that the location was Misha’s suggestion, it makes even less sense to Y/N. Misha seems like he would be the least likely of all of them to actually enjoy clubbing but hey, what does she know?
“Alex, I don’t have anything to wear!” Y/N complains from inside their closet, hoping her boyfriend can hear her through the bathroom door.
“That cannot be true,” she can hear the amusement coupled with a light mix of exasperation in his tone.
“What did they tell you the dress code was?” Y/N calls as she continues to flip through the clothes hanging in front of her.
“Misha said, and I quote, ‘dress slutty’.” Alex appears in the doorway to the closet and leans against the frame, tucking his arms across his chest. Y/N actually does a double take when she sees him.
“I see you took that advice literally,” she eyes him, gaze dragging across his body and catching against each new feature she notices like sandpaper running against the grain. Alex is dressed casually, but most definitely sluttily too. A loose and frayed wife beater hangs off his shoulders, showing off his waist where one side is tucked into his shorts. The elastic of his boxers is sticking out over the shirt too, which is completely on purpose in a move to tease. The denim shorts are tight, torn-up, and just to the knee. Y/N has seen him wear them before, and she knows when he turns around she’ll have an amazing view of his ass.
“I’m good at following instructions,” Alex smiles, clearly pleased with himself that he’d successfully fulfilled his remit.
“So eager to please,” Y/N teases over her shoulder as she goes back to thumbing through outfit potentials. “Honestly, the fact that Misha is telling us to dress slutty and not Jared must mean dress really slutty.”
“You could just not wear anything,” Alex offers as a suggestion. “Nothing sluttier than free access.”
“In your dreams, babe.”
“How did you know?” Alex is mock horrified and you laugh along with him when he breaks character. “Still can’t decide?” and Y/N shakes her head in response. “Can I pick for you? I do have a pretty good memory of all your sluttiest outfits.”
“Hey! Who you callin’ a slut Mr. Slutty McTightShorts?” Y/N rounds on Alex, comically enraged.
“You, duh,” Alex laughs and pecks her on the cheek as he moves over to a drawer where Y/N keeps her underwear.
Alex goes straight for the lingerie, Y/N should have guessed, and he pulls out a matching set of lacy thong and longline bra, both enmeshed in patterns of criss-crossed elastic and ribbons. Then he ducks down to the bottom drawer where Y/N keeps a load of her old college clothes that she’s too sentimental to get rid of, and rummages through it, clearly looking for something specific. He finally liberates a skirt that barely has the right to be called a piece of clothing. Y/N can’t even remember why she owns that. Finally he reaches for a swingy tank made of a light gauzy material. It’s really meant to be a cover-up for the beach because of how loose and flowy it is but Y/N imagines that is Alex’s intention behind picking it – he knows it won’t stay on properly or do a single thing to hide the bra she’ll be wearing beneath it. Alex hands her the pile of clothes, again looking very pleased with himself.
“You’re really not pulling punches tonight, are ya?”
“I just want to show off how awesome my girlfriend is,” Alex shrugs.
“Yeah, you want to show off all of her, apparently,” Y/N holds up the small skirt skeptically.
“You’ll look incredible, scouts’ honour,” Alex swears, grinning.
“If we show up and the others aren’t dressed super slutty, I’m gonna maim things.”
“I won’t stop you,” Alex laughs and pushes Y/N out of the closet. “C’mon get dressed so we can go down some alcohol before the car gets here.”
Tumblr media
They’ve both knocked back a beer and a shot when the car pulls up and a message pops into the group chat saying they’re here. The night is close and warm outside of the air conditioning, and for that reason at least Y/N is glad to be wearing such a small amount of clothing. When the young couple slides into the car they’re greeted by Jared, Jensen, Misha, and his wife Vicki – another surprise to Y/N, as she doesn’t come out with them too often. Something about tonight must be special.
“Hey hot stuff!” Jared greets them, grinning as he eyes them both up and down. Jensen pinches him on the leg. “Behave.” Jared doesn’t let it derail his examination.
“Thanks, I know, right?” Alex jokes and ruffles his hair, throwing Jared a wink. Y/N gives him a side eye, silently imitating Jensen’s instruction of behave. Alex grabs for her hand and kisses it in a gesture of reassurance, dropping their joined hands to his lap and keeping them there. Alex is a flirt, just like Jared, but Y/N knows that he would never stray from her. At least, not unless she tells him to.
The car proceeds to drive them across town to an area of L.A. Y/N isn’t familiar with. She and Alex haven’t lived in the city very long, so it’s not like she’s expecting to know every inch of its nightlife scene but this place seems much more out of the way than she was expecting them to be going. The streets they’re trundling down are dark, not bright and shining with neon and glittering lights like so much of downtown tends to be. The occasional person or couple is walking along the sidewalk, but overall it’s deserted by city standards.
“Where are we going again?” Y/N pipes up from her seat, looking out the window and spotting another couple in dark coats holding hands as they amble down the side street.
“We’re almost there,” Vicki smiles reassuringly at Y/N, then turns to Jensen. “Tom texted to let me know he’s set aside a table upstairs for us, so everyone can just watch or they can join in, whatever you want.”
“Who’s Tom?” Y/N asks curiously, she hasn’t heard the name before.
“He’s our boyfriend,” Misha answers matter of factly, like he’s trying not to betray any emotion around the statement until he can judge Y/N and Alex’s reactions to that news. Y/N can’t pretend she isn’t surprised, but the more she thinks about it the more she realises that Misha is always quite private about his and Vicki’s relationship – this must be why.
“Oh, cool dude,” Alex laughs, giving an approving nod, almost like he’s impressed with Misha’s nonconformity. Y/N smiles. Alex always loves finding out about what people have going on ‘outside the box’, it helps him come out of his own shell just a little bit more every time.
“Can’t wait to meet him,” Y/N chimes in, just to quiet the small hint of wariness she can see playing behind Misha’s eyes. He relaxes visibly and smiles, much more his carefree and goofy self in that instant.
“Oh, s’that it?” Jared points out the window to a dim neon sign and a small group of people sitting on benches and little round tables, smoking. The block letters shine against the rough brickwork of the building they’re mounted on, grey and sophisticated, unlike all the garish colours Y/N would usually expect from a nightclub.
Femme Fatale.
Y/N hadn’t known what to expect when they got inside but she never would have expected what she’s witnessing now. Femme Fatale is a swingers club. Not just that, it’s a BDSM swingers club.
How had they known? Y/N wonders. She and Alex don’t usually make a habit of discussing that aspect of their relationship with other people. Especially since Alex is still pretty new to being a Sub. He had toyed with the idea of being a Dom in a previous relationship, and technically he labels himself as a Switch when people ask, but he once he had told Y/N that since he met her she brings out a part of himself he hadn’t really connected with properly before, and he loves it.
His eyes are wide now, blown out with obvious lust as Y/N watches him watch his surroundings. Jared is the same, and Jensen is watching him just as intently as Y/N is watching Alex. With how they act, Y/N always suspected that Jensen and Jared were in a Dom/Sub relationship, and she was quietly smug that she had been right. Misha and Vicki had left the party at their table on the exposed balcony as soon as their boyfriend Tom, who Y/N now understands is the manager of this club, had shown them in and sat them down. Now, Y/N knows what Vicki had meant in the car about them just being able to watch if that’s what they wanted to do, instead of joining in. Misha and Vicki have clearly opted to join in, and Y/N can’t see where they went off to, lost in the heaving crowd of people below them.
So far, she’s enjoying watching, and Alex clearly is too. His slutty shorts are doing nothing to hide the semi he’d popped almost the second they walked in. It isn’t so much her thing, but Y/N knows Alex has an exhibitionist streak, and she can easily imagine what must be running through his mind right now. Being out in the middle of everything, shown off, performing. And Y/N thinks she might like showing him off, showing everyone what a good little boy he can be for his Mistress, showing everyone how much control she has over him. How much he wants to do everything she asks of him, to please her.
“Jared,” Y/N looks away from Alex when Jensen speaks, and Alex looks up from the ground floor where he had been watching some of the people on display. “Do you want to go play?” Jensen asks neutrally, very carefully leaving the choice up to Jared, without betraying his own feelings on the notion.
“Can we?” Jared’s eyes light up instantly and Y/N smirks to herself. Jared and Alex are more alike than she realised.
“Yeah, c’mon baby boy,” Jensen smiles indulgently and holds out his hand to Jared, who takes it and follows him down the stairs to the play areas. Y/N looks back to Alex, whose eyes are glued to his cast mates’ backs.
“What about you, baby boy?” Y/N purrs, using Jared’s nickname teasingly and Alex blushes as she runs her nails up his bare arm. She’d never called him that before but it’s clear he likes it. “Do you want to go play?”
“I–” Alex breaks off, considering. “Can we just watch for a bit? See what everyone’s doing?” he asks nervously.
“Of course, sweetheart,” Y/N smiles and offers Alex her hand. They make their way down the iron grate staircase into the madness that has been churning below them this whole time. It’s easy to spot Jared and Jensen, despite the crowd. They stick out above the heads of a lot of the people nearby because most of them are bent over or crouched down to some extent.
They’re at the edge of the dance floor, in a space that’s still public but is cordoned off for more… intimate play. There’s two St. Andrew’s crosses bolted on the wall, both currently occupied with girls – one wearing an assortment of leather straps with metal studs poking out of them, and one wearing absolutely nothing but the cuffs binding her to the beams. Leather couches and benches are dotted around the floorspace, all covered with partially to wholly naked occupants engaging in every variety of sexual activity Y/N can imagine. Alex looks like a kid in a candy store watching it all unfold before him.
“You can watch whoever you want, but no touching without my permission, okay?” Y/N speaks into Alex’s ear so he can hear her over the bass of the music that’s vibrating through the crowd around them.
“Yes, ma’am,” Alex salutes her cheekily and starts to move away but she grabs the neck of his shirt and hauls him back, looking him sternly in the eye.
“Do you want to try that again with a little respect, baby?” Alex drops his eyes and looks penitent.
“Yes, Mistress.” He gives her a weak smile, asking for forgiveness, and Y/N decides to let him off this time.
“Good boy,” she leans up and kisses his forehead before giving him a swift pat on the backside. “Have fun, I’m going to grab a drink,” Y/N points to one of the bars lining the far side of the play area. “Find me that way if you want me, okay baby?”
“Yes, Mistress,” Alex nods meekly, giving Y/N a small kiss before he ducks into the crowd towards a group of spectators all watching a girl tied to a bench getting teased by her Domme and a flogger. Typical, Y/N smiles to herself and makes her way to the bar to order a glass of wine.
Wine in hand, Y/N spins on her heel and looks around the room. Alex is still where she left him and a few groups over she spots Jensen, his back to her, watching something else she can’t quite make out between everyone’s bodies. Jared doesn’t appear to be anywhere though. Y/N decides to have a look at whatever Jensen’s observing, curious what’s got him so stoically still. There’s a lot going on around him but it becomes instantly clear which performer Jensen’s watching when Y/N approaches and peeks over his shoulder.
Jared is on his hands and knees, in amongst a crowd of people. There’s a sort of black leather platform that he’s perched on, so they’re elevated from the floor. It puts Jared’s mouth at the perfect height to reach people’s waists, which he’s currently putting to good use by swapping between two men with their cocks standing out stiff from their jeans. Jensen is watching closely, smirking at the crowd all raptly watching his boyfriend. When Jared takes the man with the bigger cock so deep that his nose is pressed to the man’s stomach, Y/N can’t help but laugh.
“I see why you like him so much,” Y/N bumps her shoulder against Jensen and he jumps, looking down at her and grinning when his brain catches up to her comment.
“Yeah he’s good with his mouth,” Jensen agrees, smiling proudly.
“Nice of you to loan him out.”
“I like to think I’m generous,” Jensen shrugs. “But not too generous,” Jensen catches the arm of a man trying to round the platform to get to Jared’s ass instead of his mouth. “Sorry man, no guys back there.”
“Oops, sorry dude,” the guy backs off quickly, and Y/N is impressed by how respectful the whole exchange is.
“Is that Jensen only territory?” Y/N questions, wiggling her brow.
“Yeah I don’t like other guys fuckin’ him,” Jensen explains. “But I like girls pegging him, it’s fun to humiliate him like that.” Just then Y/N spots a small woman climbing into a strap on with the help of her partner, who drops to her knees to suck on the dildo a little before covering it in lube from the bottle on the ground by the platform.
“No kidding,” Y/N whistles lowly, in awe as she watches the girl push the black silicone inside Jared, inch by inch. The way his hole is pulsing around the intrusion is almost hypnotic. She tries to picture what Alex would look like, on his hands and knees amongst all these people, everyone watching him get split open by some little girl with a big dick… everyone seeing him loving it, like Jared clearly is.
Y/N hears Jensen laugh beside her and she jumps a little, clearing her throat in embarrassment at being caught out staring at Jared’s asshole so blatantly.
“Sorry,” she clears her throat again and takes a sip of wine to hide behind her glass.
“It’s okay,” Jensen laughs again. “I wouldn’t let him do this if I didn’t want people to watch him.”
“Good point,” Y/N acknowledges, feeling a little better. “And um, out of curiosity,” Y/N pauses, trying to frame her question politely. “How did you get Jared to agree to the pegging?” Jensen raises an eyebrow at Y/N curiously. “You know, one Domme to another,” Y/N elaborates, so Jensen doesn’t think she’s trying to ask if she can peg Jared. That’s the furthest thing from her mind right now.
“No kidding?” Jensen chuckles, clearly impressed. “Well, I don’t know what you and Alex get up to normally, but it wasn’t too much of a stretch for Jared. He gets off on humiliation and I get off on humiliating him, and this fits that bill for both of us.” At that comment, Jensen looks back to Jared and smirks before reaching down to adjust himself subtly, and Y/N laughs. “What about it is calling to you?” Jensen asks, and Y/N has to pause to consider that before she can hit on the answer.
“It’s the one part of Alex I don’t think anyone’s touched. I mean he’s never mentioned it if he has done it before but I don’t think he has. The idea of marking him like that, of having something no one else can have from him…” Y/N trails off, letting her thoughts spiral as she feels the space between her legs heat up. When she adjusts her stance, she feels the slick brush of wet panties against her skin. Yes, she loves that idea. The thought of taking that last first, touching a part of Alex that no one else has touched. Being literally inside of him. Fucking him into submission would take on a whole new meaning.
“Yeah, that’s hot,” Jensen agrees and Y/N smiles dreamily. Now she just needs to figure out how to bring it up to Alex. “Hey,” Jensen taps her on the shoulder and points over Jared to the other side of the crowd, “you might not have to do as much convincing as you think.”
Standing across from them, Jared still on his hands and knees between them being fucked at both ends, is Alex. His eyes are fixed steadily on Jared, the rest of the world a mere blur around him and the object of his focus. His pupils are huge, in part due to the dark of the club but Y/N knows it’s also to do with desire. She watches his eyes dart back and forth and realises that he’s not just watching Jared, he’s watching the dildo that’s steadily fucking in and out of Jared’s ass, following its movements closely. He licks his lips and Y/N smiles. Jensen is right, she’s not going to have to convince him at all. He already wants this.

Safety Net: Chapter 1
Present! Carol Denning/Reader
Hiiiiii, so I noticed the lack of Carol content and fics on here soooo I decided to write my own. I posted this on Archive of Our Own and i got such a great response! This is my first time writing an OITNB fanfic so please be nice! I’m also totally open to requests while I work on this story! I plan for this to be series so please enjoy!
This is such bullshit. I knew we were gonna have to pay the consequences for the riot but putting all of us in max? Some of us didn’t even participate in the actual rioting. Letting out a deep sigh, at least you didn’t get any added time, that’s all that matters. Of course prison wasn’t what you would call “fun” but by the looks of max, you could tell it was much worse than camp.
After being in Ad Seg, you and a few other girls were finally getting moved to Gen Pop. C-block to be more specific. God, finally you’ll stop hearing Piper whine about Alex so much now. You felt for her but shit you were all going through it not just her. You didn’t even really understand why you were in Ad Seg and getting questioned. You mostly kept to yourself during the riot.
“Welcome to your new home, Inmates.” the ginger guard announced to you all as she began to uncuff you.
“Bitch, we missed you!” you heard an inmate yell.
You looked over and saw a group of girls clad in navy blue scrubs running over to Badison. Blowing up that bitch’s ego like a fuckin balloon. You rolled your eyes and looked down at the bag you were holding close to your chest.
“Hey, you three, meet your new family,” Badison said to you, Piper and Blanca. “These C-block bitches will either save your life, or make you want to die. Your choice.” you gulped, social anxiety was probably one of the worst things to have in prison.
After Badison introduced Piper and Blanca it was your turn. “And this is-“ she paused for a moment. “I actually don’t think I’ve met you yet. What’s your name again?” she asked. You weren’t sure if she actually wanted you to answer her question or not.
You took your chances, answering her question. “It's (L/N)...” you said meekly, grasping your bag even tighter making your knuckles turn white.
Badison brayed with laughter, “Are you scared?”
“N-no.” shit, really?
“I think I’m going to call you Mouse, Mouse.” she smirked. “Not only because you look like one but you already seem like a fucking pussy.”
And you’re a cunt, you retorted in your head. Great now that she pointed out the obvious you were for sure going to get shit from everyone for this.
“Flores, you are in C-203, Chapman C107. Hoefler, You’re in C-210 now.” The ginger guard announced reading from her clipboard
Wait what about me? you thought. Are you not supposed to be in here? You panicked.
“Excuse me I didn’t-“
“Aw. I don’t get to be roomies with the baby killer no more?” Badison interrupted with an annoying baby voice. “I’m going to miss you, scary mommy.” you watched as she belittled Hoefler or as some of the others called her “Beth The Baby Killer”.
“Don’t do that baby voice, you know I hate it.” said a stern icy voice.
You looked over and saw a woman with a hollow face, big round glasses, and an outdated 80s hairdo. She stood there with a red lollipop in her hand. Her eyes gleamed mean.
Badison was suddenly quiet except for the big gulp she let out. Was Badison actually scared of someone? “Sorry, Carol.” she replied slowly making her presence less known.
Carol glared at her while slowly putting the lollipop back in her mouth slowly, beginning to walk away.
Why was she so scared of her? I mean she looks mean but Badison didn’t seem like she was scared of anything. you thought to yourself curiously raising a brow. Oh shit. What room am I in? you snapped back to reality.
“Wait you forgot me! I didn’t get a bunk.” you scurried over to the guard before she closed the gate.
She rolled her eyes looking back down to her clipboard. “(L/N), you’re in C-206, with Denning, Good luck.” she said as she locked the barred gate closed.
Who the hell is Denning? you slowly turned around and met eyes with her. Oh shit, that’s Denning. Carol. Carol fucking Denning.
She stared at you for a good few seconds, looking you up and down, her eyes scanning you. If you weren’t so dehydrated from being in Ad Seg for so long you’d probably piss yourself. Now you understood why Badison was scared of her.
“Follow me.” she said.
You nodded not giving it a second thought. You hurried behind her. She was not someone to keep waiting. Once you got to the bunk you stood in the doorway, waiting for her next command.
“Top bed is yours. I like my room clean and my roommates quiet.”
You could feel your body shake with nerves as you slowly placed your bag on the top bed. Carol sat down on bed, beginning to lay back as she opened a magazine that had a husky buff man on the cover.
Gross. She was one of those women.
“So how long hav-“
“Shut the hell up and get out.”
“But I-“
“Do I need to repeat myself? Get the fuck out.” Carol barked.
Not even staying long enough to apologize you ran out. You felt your heart pounding and your chest tightening up. You were having a full blown panic attack. You hid behind one of the walls. You could feel tears falling out of your eyes.
Stop crying. Stop it! wiping the tears with the back of your hand.
“Aw, the little mouse is crying.” a very familiar and annoying voice said mocking you. You looked up meeting eyes with Badison. She had that smug smile on her face. “Carol’s last roomie only lasted a week. Let’s see how long you last, Mouse.” she patted your cheek,  laughing as she walked past you.
You wiped the rest of your tears away and took a deep breath in. Challenge accepted. They weren’t going to break you. Not this soon.

--
It was actually quite fortunate that Julie’s phone rang in the middle of practice.
The ringtone put a halt to Alex’s drum beat and Reggie’s baseline, the band in the middle of a song when the device began vibrating atop Julie’s music stand perched before her piano. The air quickly grew quiet, three pairs of eyes falling onto Julie as they waited for her to silence her phone, to apologise and get back into the song. They had a strict ‘Do Not Disturb’ policy on band time, one put in place mainly because Flynn had a habit of turning up out of the blue and derailing practice with antics.
“Well?” Luke said after four rings, Julie looking over and registering the name as the ringtone continued to blare out. The look on the guitarist’s face was one shared by her other band mates: they were mid-practice, they had a gig that night, and they couldn’t afford to mess up with talent scouts in the crowd. They had kicked out Flynn already, and had locked the doors to the garage to minimise disturbance from Ray or Carlos, and while they were already playing the song well, they shared the sentiment that the performance that night needed to be great.
But it was a name that made her smile, brought a warmth to Julie’s heart and butterflies to her stomach. She still wasn’t quite used to it, seeing that name on her screen, despite it being a regular occurrence for months now: it still gave Julie that giddy feeling whenever it popped up on her caller ID.
Julie glanced up at her friends, her band, all waiting for her to hang up as the ringtone repeated for a sixth time: but in a split second decision, she reached out and pressed answer on the call, causing Luke to guffaw.
“What are you-”
“How’s my light in this dreary excuse for a life doing?” Julie asked down the phone, causing her band mates to hold back on their berating as she put the call on speaker, biting her lip as she tucked her hands under her thighs, her eyes on the guys as the response came through.
“You say that like you’re not the superstar here, Molina.” And simultaneously, Julie watched the jaws of her three ghost guys drop at the sound of a girl’s voice coming from the other side of the phone. “I’m not interrupting anything, am I?” She asked Julie, a waver of nerves in her voice. “I wasn’t sure when you were starting rehearsal today.”
“You’re all good, we’re taking a break.” Julie half-lied: the boys had certainly dropped their interest in practice upon the beginning of the phone call. “What’s the matter, ¿cariña?” She asked, watching Alex silently jump up from his seat and walk over to join Luke and Reggie in the room’s centre, three pairs of eyes watching Julie with matching expressions of dumbfounded confusion.
“W-well. Two things.” The voice spoke again, giggling a little in response to the pet name, and in turn causing Julie to blush. “I’m sorry I didn’t call last night; I fell asleep doing Chemistry homework.” The girl admitted, and Julie let out a laugh. “And second: about this gig tonight… What do you want me to wear?” she asked, but before Julie could respond, the girl continued. “Like, what says ‘hi, I’m Julie’s girlfriend but I’m super cool and chill and not at all weird in any way’? I mean, I don’t know how to dress for meeting Flynn, let alone meeting your ghost band mates…”
Julie watched Reggie and Alex silently scream at one another, the former beginning to bounce around the room as Luke just sat himself down on the coffee table from shock at the revelation.
“Y/N, whatever you wear, the guys will love it.” Julie was reassuring in her tone, her words sincere and sweet. “Oh! What about the blue polka dot dress, the one you wore on our picnic date?” She suggested, trying to ignore the borderline meltdown Reggie was having as she spoke, their bassist having grabbed a pillow from the couch and clutching it to his chest, his eyes nearly teary as he watched the phone call unfold.
“Oh, I love that one!” The girl, Y/N, squealed from down the phone, the sound of rustling and thuds coming from down the line, followed by a quick ‘oopsie daisy’, Julie smiling at the noise of her girlfriend’s clumsiness. “Found it! Ok, phew, thank you baby. I’m still meeting you there at 6, right?”
“Yep, if you come round to the side door I’ll make sure that security let you in.” Julie replied with a squeak of her own.
“This is so exciting! I mean, finally meeting all your friends, your family…” Y/N exclaimed, but quickly fell silent on the other end of the phone. “Are you sure you’re ready for this?” she asked in a nervous tone. “I mean, this is sort of it for you, coming out…”
It was true, Julie wasn’t publicly out. But now, with her band mates listening in and with two of the three flapping about the room like headless chickens from the shock of it, the cat was, sort of, out of the bag at that point.
“I’m sure.” Julie said quickly, nodding along as she spoke. “I should get back to practice now, the guys are waiting.” She said quickly, rounding off the call.
“Oh, of course, of course! I uh, I’ll see you tonight.” And with that, the phone call ended.
And chaos ensued.
“JULIE YOU HAVE TO TELL US EVERYTHING!” Reggie yelled the moment the dial tone sounded, rushing forward as Julie stood herself up, his hands gripping her shoulders and shaking the poor girl.
“You have a girlfriend…” Luke muttered softly; his eyes fixed on the ground as he processed.
“When did you meet? How old is she? Can we see pictures?” Alex asked, slightly less hyper than the bassist, who was quite clearly ecstatic about the news.
“You have a girlfriend?”
“Does she go to Los Feliz? Does she like music? Can she play too?” Reggie asked question after question, having to stop for a moment to catch his breath as Julie was finally given release from the boy’s grip and allowed to focus back on the room, on her friends. “Does she like puppies?!”
“You have a girlfriend and didn’t tell us?” Luke was standing now, and Alex and Reggie halted their questions to pay attention to their guitarist. His hands were shoved deep into his pockets, a look of introspection in his face: eyebrows furrowed, that familiar grumpy frown he had patented, and Julie’s face softened at the sight. “Julie, why didn’t you tell us sooner?”
“I just…” The question hung in the air as Julie tried to articulate her answer, the boys all stood across from her in a row, patient in waiting for her response. “I wanted to tell you guys… I just, I wasn’t ready yet.” It was a simple response, and she watched Luke as he took it in and processed it, wondering what the boy was thinking.
Luke accepted Alex, he himself was queer, surely he would accept and respect Julie’s relationship too… Right?
“Does she make you happy?” He asked after a minute or so of pondering, coming over and taking Julie’s hand in his, giving it a squeeze as he activated best friend mode.
“Yeah… She really does.” Julie said back, her voice no more than a whisper as she found herself getting a little choked up, a lump in her throat and happy tears brimming in her eyes as she watched Luke’s frown turn into a cheesy grin, the boy wrapping his arms around his friend and enveloping her in a tight hug, that Alex and Reggie soon joined in on. They squeezed her, surrounding the smaller girl and smothering her, quite literally, with affection and acceptance and their pride in her. “I need… to breathe…” She managed to croak, the four quickly breaking apart and muttering apologies.
“So… Tell us about her.” Alex said with a smile, Julie sitting herself down on the coffee table as the boys clambered onto the couch, wide eyed and eager to hear about this mystery girl who had Julie feeling all gooey inside.
“Yes please! Full biography, if you don’t mind. Name, age, school, interests, family, medical background, music taste, does she like puppies, is she a sock, sock, shoe, shoe person or sock, shoe, sock, shoe … The important stuff.” Reggie added on, and Julie couldn’t help but laugh at her friends, all leaning forward to make sure they didn’t miss a word.
“It’s alright, Y/N, you’ve got this. It’s just… It’s just another day…” The whispers of self-encouragement echoed through the back alley later that night as the teen made her way towards the side entrance to the venue. “You’re just seeing your girlfriend… Just watching her in concert, again…” Y/N wasn’t usually so nervous, but ever since she and Julie had begun dating a few months before, the nerves always seemed to build up before seeing her. Tonight, knowing she would not only be meeting Julie’s dad and brother, but her friends? It had Y/N in a bit of a panic, stopping as she passed by a window to look herself over in the reflection, fixing her hair for the twentieth time on her walk over, and pulling a tube of lipstick from her purse to reapply. “You’ve got this, come on Y/N… You wouldn’t be meeting them if you and Julie weren’t in a good place.” She reminded herself softly and let out a sigh.
“Can I help you?” a voice behind Y/N asked, causing her to spin and come face to face with a girl her age. She too was dressed for the concert that night, wearing a Julie and the Phantoms t-shirt under a pinafore dress. “You said Julie, just now… Are you looking for her? Is she expecting you?” She asked again, and Y/N eyes did another scan of the girl, her face immediately coming to mind from Julie’s Instagram: this was Flynn. Her girlfriend’s oldest friend was right in front of her.
“Uh, I uh…” Y/N stuttered, Flynn looking her over with a concern.
“You don’t look good… Why don’t we get you inside? Get you some water?” Flynn offered, taking Y/N’s forearm in her grip and gently coaxing her for the nearby side entrance to the venue, Y/N taking one last glance at the crowds gathering for the concert on the main street before she was led into the venue and down a spiral staircase. “You’re lucky I found you, the security team are super strict here.” Flynn explained to Y/N, the stranger, like the two were old friends, veering to the right and leading her into a rather fancy looking dressing room. “Here…” Flynn let go of her arm to rush over and grab Y/N a bottle of water, passing it over quickly, and watching as Y/N quickly downed half the bottle to try and combat her anxiety.
“Thank you…” Y/N managed after taking a gulping breath.
“Not a problem. So, you’re looking for Julie?” Flynn asked again, and Y/N nodded. “I probably should have checked you weren’t a crazy stalker first before inviting you in, huh? What’s your name?” Flynn hurried herself around the dressing room, collecting cables and a guitar before heading back for the room’s door.
“Y/N… Do you need a hand?” She came out of her nerves to catch the guitar about to slip from under Flynn’s arm, the pair sharing a wary smile.
“Yes, I do, it seems. Well, Y/N, follow me. Julie and the guys are running through their sound check, I’ll deliver you to her.” Flynn grinned, starting a jog back up the corridor they had just come down, Y/N prompted to stick to the girl’s heels. Y/N couldn’t help but admire the girl’s easy manner, how, like Julie, she could settle her nerves with no effort. They followed another corridor along the floor as they passed by the staircase they had descended, quickly coming to a large black door that Flynn kicked open with her foot.
Suddenly, Y/N was hit by a wall of sound: of a perfect culmination of guitar and bass and drums and piano, paired with the angelic voice Y/N knew all too well. It knocked her off balance for a moment, and she clung tight to the guitar charged into her possession, worried she might drop it from the sheer euphoria she got listening to Julie’s voice. She felt like she was floating above the ground as Flynn directed her towards the source of the music, trying to stop herself rushing onto the stage when she spotted her girlfriend.
“We're all bright now, what a sight now, coming out like we're fireworks. Marching on proud, turn it up loud, ‘cause now we know what we're worth.” Julie sang out as she played alongside herself, radiating an energy that left the whole room smiling as they watched on: from the sound techs to the bartenders setting up for the incoming crowd.
“We know we can make it we’re not falling down under, close my eyes and feel my chest beating like thunder.” The boy on guitar, who Y/N remembered was Luke, joined in on the vocals with Julie, who took the harmony, the pair meeting in the centre of the stage to sing together on Julie’s mic. “I wanna fly, come alive…” Luke quickly fell away again, Julie’s attention turning to movement in her peripheral as Flynn set down the cables she had brought along and removed the guitar from Y/N’s hands.
“Watch me shine!” Julie sang out as her eyes landed on Y/N, a smile bursting onto her face as she recognised her girlfriend, waving quickly at her. Y/N waved back, biting her lip to stop herself for laughing at Julie’s adorable demeanour.
“I got a spark in me, hands up if you can see. And you're a part of me, hands up if you're with me. Now 'til eternity, hands up if you believe. Been so long, and now we're finally free.” The whole band sang along on the chorus line, Julie’s attention on the wings quickly drawing the guys’ eyes there as well, to the girl stood at Flynn’s side in a polka dot dress, watching Julie like she was the only girl in the world. “I got a spark in me, hands up if you can see. And you're a part of me, hands up if you're with me. Now 'til eternity, hands up if you believe. Been so long, and now we're finally free.”
As they sang the chorus a second time in lead up to the song’s bridge, Luke rushed across the stage, Reggie on his tail as they both came into the wings.
Y/N and Flynn weren’t quite sure how to react to the pair bounding over, nor did they know what to do as the boys grabbed onto Y/N’s arms and pulled her onto the stage, placing her right in the middle where Julie stood. That afternoon, after the phone call, Julie had been badgered into telling her friends everything and anything about her girlfriend: including the fact that Y/N was a big fan of their music, and that she could sing.
“I got a spark in me.” Julie sang into the mic, taking a nervous breath before holding her hand out to Y/N, the pair quickly interlocking fingers and stepping closer together, Julie offering the microphone for Y/N to sing into. “I got a spark in me.” She echoed back a harmony line, nervously, but the smile on Julie’s face was enough to banished her worries, even if just for a moment. “And you're a part of me.” “And you're a part of me.” “Now 'til eternity.” “Now 'til eternity.” “Been so long, and now we're finally free.” Julie sang out, laughing as Y/N took the chance to spin Julie under her arm, neither caring to notice the grinning faces of the boys behind them, or the shock that plastered Flynn’s face, alongside Carlos, Ray and Julie’s tía Victoria, who had just walked in with pizza for the kids. It was like they were in their own little world, and as the song came to a close, the final chorus sang amidst Y/N and Julie’s dancing, both girls were left a little breathless from their bouncing, not to mention the butterflies bubbling inside each of them any time they looked at the other.
With a final bang of the drums closing up the song, reality quickly came back to the girls, Y/N dropping Julie’s hand as she quickly turned to see the one, two, three, four, five, six, seven… pair of eyes on her and Julie, and that was without mentioning the staff working that night.
“Um, guys…” Julie started, taking a step to the side to get the boys, Flynn and her family into her view, with Y/N in the centre of it all. “This is Y/N…” She said again, chewing on her bottom lip as confused waves were passed between the group.
“Hello.” Y/N said, glancing back at the guys and waving nervously to them as well, all three of the gathered on Alex’s drum stand and waving back.
“Y/N… Y/N is my girlfriend.”
There was silence, no-one quite sure who had superiority on speaking first, but Julie decided to cement the fact her statement provided by walking back to Y/N and interlocking their hands once more, the pair smiling at one another. While the boys behind them and Flynn were grinning like crazy, Julie and Y/N’s focus had fallen onto her family, who stood on the main floor before the stage. Ray shared a glance with Victoria, and for a moment Y/N expected the absolute worst.
“I’m really glad we bought extra pizza.” Ray said with a smile, flooding both the girls with relief as he made his way up onto the stage. “Maybe tell me next time your girlfriend comes along, mi hija: I’m not going to be this well-prepared every time.” He added, setting the pizzas down on the piano stool and jogging over to embrace Y/N in a firm embrace alongside Julie, the girls hugging back in response. “I’m Ray, Julie’s dad.”
“I know. It’s nice to meet you Mr Molina.” Y/N responded mid-hug.
“You know, the fact that the guys knew before I did is honestly insulting Julie.” Flynn spoke up as Ray pulled back from the hug, Flynn coming in for her own with Y/N. “I can’t believe those idiots got to meet you before I did.”
“O-oh, I… I haven’t met them before.” Y/N admitted, looking up as the guys came over. “I have no clue how they know.”
“That… That was me…” Julie admitted, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.
“When you called today, you interrupted practice.” Reggie said rather loudly. “Julie put you on speaker, we heard the whole thing. I had a meltdown.”
“The outfit definitely gives ‘cool and chill and not weird in any way’ vibes you were going for.” Luke added, and Y/N went pink in the cheeks.
“Sorry about them.” Alex interrupted, holding out a hand that Y/N shook quickly. “I’m Alex. Thing 1 is Luke; Thing 2 is Reggie. They have no filter.” He said with a smile and shrug, only to watch Y/N look down at their connected hands, her eyebrows furrowing.
“Julie, baby,” Y//N said softly, getting a blush on her girlfriend’s cheeks and earning coos from the rest of the group. “I thought you said they were ghosts?” She whispered, glancing over to Ray, Carlos and Victoria, who were dishing out pizza and drinks. “Now, I might be wrong… But isn’t the whole thing that you can’t touch them?”
“Yeah, they kind of are? It’s a long story, definitely one that needs explaining…” Julie answered quickly, pressing a kiss to Y/N’s cheek that froze the girl in surprise. “But that’s for another time.”
“Yep, ok.” Y/N grinned, willing to agree to whatever Julie said without resistance. Ray called the six of them over for pizza at the far side of the stage.
As Julie and Y/N headed over, hand in hand, their heads resting against one another’s as they went, Luke, Reggie, Alex and Flynn watched on, sharing grins between themselves and mouthings of ‘oh my God’. It was nice for all of them, Julie’s family included, to see their star, their Julie, so happy.
And from then on, Julie was Y/N’s Julie too: because if the way those girls looked at each other wasn’t love, then, well, none of them were quite sure what love could be.

Chapter 10
And the plastic must keep spinning around forever, and the memories will flood and keep us together
Tumblr media
As Frank slowed the truck to a stop Fliss smiled and looked out of the window.
"Glad to be home?" Frank asked, turning to look at her and she reached through the gap in the front seats, gently placing her hand on Alex's tummy where he was fastened into the baby seat.
"Yeah." She nodded, looking at Frank before giving him a soft kiss. "Yeah I am."
Frank grinned again before he moved to get out of the car, opening the back door for Fliss, offering her his hand as she slowly slid out. He then made his way to the front passenger side and leaned in to unclip the car seat. As he did so his t-shirt rode up a little at the back and Fliss cocked her head to the side at the flash of his boxer shorts which were visible where his jeans had dropped slightly on his hips.
"Are you wearing Spongebob underwear?" She asked and he gave a chuckle as he turned to look at her over his shoulder.
"They're cool." His eyebrow rising over the top of his aviators.
"Whatever you say, Sailor."
"You bought em, Cowgirl." He chuckled, pulling back out of the car, the handle of the baby seat clutched safely in his hand.
"Actually it was Mary." She smiled as he shut the car door. “They were her Father’s Day Specials if I recall correctly.”
“Yeah they were.” He smiled, and at that moment the door to the house opened and the girl herself shot out, Thor running past her straight up to Fliss whereas Mary made her way to Frank, hugging him tightly.
"Hey boy." Fliss smiled, ruffling his head. Alex chose that moment to make a little simpering noise and Thor turned his head to look at him, his ears pricking forward. Fliss closed her hand round his collar as Frank held the baby carrier still. The two of them watched as Thor gently pushed his nose into the car seat sniffing the curious new object and when Alex moved he jerked back, head cocking to one side before his tail began to wag furiously and he gave an excited little wine.
"He likes him!" Mary grinned.
"That right? He meet with your approval, Thor?" Frank asked and Thor pushed his nose back, this time concentrating on sniffing the baby.
"Okay enough, good boy." Fliss yanked him back, giving him another pat. "Let's get inside."
Frank took her hand in his and the two of them headed up the steps to the porch, Mary skipping ahead of them up to where Evelyn was waiting. Frank looked at his mother and stopped, pushing his aviators up.
“You look like shit.” He smirked.
“She’s hungover.” Mary grinned.
“It was a heavy night.” Evelyn replied in justification as Frank grinned at Fliss.
“Party went well then?” Fliss quipped and Evelyn groaned.
“Your dad brought out his home made coconut rum.” She said, following them into the cool house.
Fliss grimaced. “Yeah, that’s deadly stuff. Me and Steve got wasted on that once, I was hungover for days.”
“It tasted quite nice.” Evelyn sighed. “But it doesn’t feel very nice today.”
Frank gently placed the car seat on the coffee table and turned to look at his mother “I’m not sure whether I should be embarrassed or proud. Maybe both.”
“Piss off, Frank.” She shot back and he let out a bark of a laugh. “I’m going to make a cup of tea, does anyone want one?”
Fliss eagerly accepted as she sat down on the sofa, her hand reaching out to undo the fastenings on the car seat. She couldn’t wait to get Alex in her arms again. Frank perched on the arm next to her, his hand gently rubbing between Fliss’ shoulder blades as she cradled their baby gently, his head resting against her shoulder as he peeked around the room with his little blue eyes.
“How is he?” Mary asked as she approached, dropping onto the seat at the other side of Fliss.
“He’s good.” Fliss smiled, before she looked at Mary “Do you want to hold him again?”
Mary nodded eagerly so Frank stood up and moved round the back of the sofa, propping the cushions up to help Mary sit up right. Fliss placed Alex into her arms and he lay still, apart from his hands which gently fisted up by his face.
Evelyn had a hold next once she had finished her tea and then headed off to the annex for a lay down and to give them a bit of time alone, not wanting to overstep. Mary asked if she could go to the yard so, after slathering her in sunscreen and jamming a cap on her head, Frank wandered out to watch her climb over the fence and head over to Joanne. The girl gave a wave which he acknowledged and then she shouted over to him.
“Hey daddy! How’s mommy?”
“She’s great!” Frank yelled back, beaming as he nodded to Mary. “She gives you any trouble, send her straight home!”
Joanne waved him away and he turned and walked back inside, closing the door behind him.
Fliss was feeding Alex again when he walked back in and once he was done he went down for a nap which the new parents took full advantage of, grabbing some sleep themselves. Frank had stayed with them in the hospital, refusing to leave, and as such both of them had been up three times in the night with their new baby so sleeping whilst he slept seemed like a damned fine idea, even if it was only for forty minutes or so until Frank woke up, his neck cricked from where he’d had it lay against the arm of the sofa, Fliss was snuggled up with her head on his chest, lay secure between him and the back cushions. He stayed as still as he could so as not to wake her, giving a soft huff of laughter at Thor who was led by the basinet, curled up, eyes on Alex. Frank found himself pondering if the dog could possibly know that their baby was what had been in Fliss’ belly and whether he could smell something or not to that effect because he was being extremely protective, the same way he had been over Fliss at the start of her pregnancy. As he watched the dog curiously, Fliss stirred a little and Frank gave her head a soft kiss, but she didn’t wake.
Yet their son did. He gave a little murmur, the beginnings of a cry and Franky quickly and quietly moved, keeping Fliss’ head supported enough as he grabbed a cushion and laid her down so she could continue to rest. He picked Alex up, and as suspected he needed a diaper change. That was one thing Frank had plenty of practice on. A little while later once he was cleaned he gently picked him back up and took him for walk round the ground floor of the house, talking to him softly as he went.
A little while later he heard Fliss calling his name. He wandered back into the family area at the back of the house and she smiled at him.
“You okay, Sweetheart?” he asked.
“Yeah, I just wondered where you were.”
“Been showing him round.” Frank smiled and glanced at Alex whose mouth was resting against his collar bone. “He’s been changed. Hasn’t made a noise since.” He watched as Fliss’ eyes fell on her son and he gently sat down next to her. “Do you want him?”
She hesitated before she gave a little smile. “Of course I do but he’s your son too Frank.”
“Maybe we need a snuggle rota.” He smiled.
Fliss laughed “I get enough momma bear time when he’s feeding, I can’t be too selfish about it. If he’s happy with you then I might grab a shower.”
“Have a bath and then take another nap if you need one.” Frank looked at her. “You had a busy day yesterday.”
“One way of putting it.” She smiled. “You know, I was actually thinking that maybe before he wants feeding again, I could take him to the Yard to meet Joanne and the guys?”
"I forgot to say she asked after you before." Frank smiled, as he gently readjusted Alex slightly “Bet she’d love to see him, and it’ll give you chance to check everything is running smoothly."
"Yeah.” Fliss smiled before she bit her lip and then looked at Frank. “Should I take him in the stroller or the baby sling?"
"What do you wanna take him in?" Frank asked.
"Well, the sling would be nice but it’s whatever is best for him, I mean it is warm and the sun-" "Liss, it’s almost four pm." Frank cut her off "The sun will be cooling off shortly and besides, we got him plenty of sun hats. Pop one on and just keep in the shade as much as you can, he’ll be fine I promise you."
"Okay." She nodded, looking at Alex, still biting her lip.
She was nervous, Frank could tell. And he knew that rather than letting herself get worried and tense about it, it was better to offer her his hand so to speak. She would soon come round once she realised that she could cope perfectly fine.
"Do you want me to come with you?" He asked gently.
"Please." She looked at him before she glanced at her hands. "I know it's stupid, Frank, but..."
"Hey, no, it’s not, honey. It’s not at all." He assured her and waited for her to look at him and he smiled "Look, I’m nervous about stuff too."
"You've done this before"
“Only from 6 months."
"But you helped Diane..."
"You telling me you never helped out with Charlie and Joel when they were born?" he said calmly. Fliss fell silent and he continued. "It's not a science, no matter what all those so called expert books and manuals say, there’s no magic formula or solution to any of this." He smiled gently. “Just a lot of instinct and love. And common sense." He added.
“That’s us fucked then.” Fliss quipped and he gave a soft chuckle as she shook her head, her hand smoothing over the back of her son’s head. "I know. You're right. I’m sorry."
"There’s nothing to be sorry for." Frank assured her "I like that you’re telling me how you feel and that’s what we gotta do. Be honest with each other and do this together yeah?"
She looked up at him and smiled "Yeah."
He gave her a gentle kiss "I love you.”
“You too.” She smiled, laying her head against his.
“Now, go on, get showered and then let’s go show our boy off."
***** The next few weeks flew by in a flurry of sleepless nights, feedings, dirty diapers and many changed outfits (both Alex’s and theirs following the amount of times he spit up on them) plenty of visitors and juggling a new baby with Mary's return to school. Frank grumbled one night to Fliss that with the amount of visitors they had, their front door should have been a revolving one but she knew that despite his gripes he was secretly low key pleased that his friends couldn't wait to meet Bean and she could practically hear the crowing in his voice when he introduced everyone to him.
Being the parents of a baby was tiring, but thanks to some help and advice from the health visitors and Fliss' mom they worked out a pretty good routine between the pair of them for night feeds, Fliss expressing as much as she could meant that Frank could also feed him, which not only gave her a rest but him time to bond with his son. Not that he felt he needed it, mind. He’d been ready to die for him the minute Fliss had told him she was pregnant.
A fortnight after Alex's birth, Frank returned back to work. Fliss had been reluctant to let him go, begging him to take an extra week but as he pointed out if he did that he would be stuck for leave over Christmas. In the end, because Fliss was flapping about being on her own with a baby for so long, Verity had come round for the first day to keep her company and be on hand. Frank knew that Fliss would get better as time went by and whilst she was still a little nervous- constantly worrying about the little noises or crying he did when she couldn't immediately figure out what it was he wanted- it was best she had someone there.
His theory that she would be fine in time was right, and by the middle of his first week back she was still a little tentative with certain things but happy to be on her own for the afternoons, Verity only coming in the mornings. And when he came back home on the Thursday evening, Fliss was actually over at the yard with Alex in the sling, chatting to Joanne and helping out with the lesson plans. It had made him beyond happy she'd ventured out alone, even if it was only to the end of their drive. The following week, on the Tuesday, she told Frank she was going to tell her mother not to come over the next day and Frank encouraged her to do so, reminding her that her parents and him were only a little drive away if she needed them. But she didn’t, she coped fine, just as he had assured her she would, even if she did message him a few times that morning which he didn’t mind at all.
On the Thursday, almost three weeks to the date she had gone into labour, Fliss was sat in the Garden with a drink and a book. Alex was sleeping in the cool of the kitchen, not far from the door so he was in eyesight at all times. Not that any harm would come to him with Thor on sentry duty, mind. The German shepherd had taken it upon himself to be the little boy's personal guard and was never far away. He lay by the bassinet when Alex slept there, curled down the side of their bed at night as Alex lay in the bedside sleeper and when the infant was being fed or cuddled he would jump up onto the couch if possible to watch or simply sit by the feet of whoever had him, eyes trained on them the whole time. Fliss was convinced Thor thought Alex was some kind of hairless puppy.
She reached the end of her chapter and was just heading inside for a refill of iced tea (her craving for apple juice completely gone and she was back to hating the stuff) when her phone went.
“Yo, Titch…” Her brother spoke and she smiled “How’s that beautiful little Nephew of mine?”
“He’s fine…and so am I thanks for asking.”
“Yeah, well it ain’t all about you.” Steve said and Fliss rolled her eyes “Listen, me and dad are trying to get Frank to come out for a few beers tomorrow wetting the baby’s head to so to speak but he is refusing.”
“He’s tired.” Fliss said, “Alex woke at three and didn’t settle till five. Frank was up at seven for work so he probably just wants to catch up on his sleep.”
“Yeah, well he can sleep on Saturday.” Steve said “He’s been fobbing us now ever since we first asked two weeks ago.”
At that Fliss frowned. “He didn’t mention you’d asked.”
“He didn’t?”
“No.” She paused. Whilst Frank had certainly calmed down in that respect since they had first gotten together, it wasn’t like him to turn down the offer of a night out with the boys, and she could only assume it was down to Alex.
“Well we have and Dad’s desperate to take him out for a few beers. Can you see if you can work your magic?”
“You want me to beg my fiancée to go out drinking, whilst I stay at home with our three week old baby?” Fliss asked.
“Yes.” Steve replied simply
“You’re a dick.” She shook her head, “I’ll mention it to him when he gets back but I’m not promising anything.”
Frank arrived home a little over an hour later, to find Fliss led on one of the sun-loungers in the shade, Alex resting on her chest, her bare legs stretched out in front of her.
“Busy afternoon?” he quipped and she pulled her shades down to glare at him. “That was a joke.”
“We had a very busy day actually.” She looked up at him as he dropped a kiss to her lips, before he did the same to the back of Alex’s head. “We went to the store this morning, then to see Roberta this afternoon, and then came home, I made meatloaf for dinner and then I had a few hours out here whilst he slept. Then he barfed up all over me and now I have sick in my hair.”
Frank let out a laugh and shook his head as she bent her legs so he could perch on the end of the lounger. She shifted a little and cocked her head.
“Where’s Mary, and why are you so clean?”
“Mary has gone up to see Monty and I’m clean because I’ve been in the office and shop all day working on the rotas and a few other pieces of administration for when Alan leaves.” He shrugged “I apologise sincerely for the lack of grease and dirt.”
“So you should.” She grinned “But, seeing as you’re so clean…” she moved and sat up slightly so she could hand Alex over to his daddy who took him tenderly, pressing another kiss to his head.
“Why don’t you grab a shower if you’re bothered about your hair?” he offered and she nodded, standing up.
“Okay.” She smiled “I won’t be long.”
Frank shook his head “Take as much time as you need. Not going anywhere.”
“Hmm, yeah, I heard.”
Frank looked at her “What?”
“Steve called before. Said that Dad’s been trying to get you to go out for a drink but you’re refusing.”
Frank let out a groan. “They've been on at me for the last week or so, as have the Circle Of Truth boys. Say I need to go wet the baby’s head so to speak.”
“You should” Fliss looked at him. “It’s tradition.”
Frank pulled a face.
“Are you seriously turning down a night out?” Fliss asked.
“No, just temporarily putting it on hiatus”
Fliss snorted “Loser.”
“I don’t see you clamouring to go out.” He looked at her.
“Well, actually, I was thinking of going to Lunch with Bonnie on Sunday.” Fliss shrugged “She said Rio’s are launching a new menu so…”
“You should go.” Frank encouraged her, smiling softly.
“I will if you go out on Friday.” She shot back. Frank rolled his eyes and took a deep breath.
“Why are you so keen to get rid of me for a night?”
“I’m not.” Fliss shrugged “Just think it’s nice that they all want to celebrate with you.” She paused and looked down at her hands before she took a breath and looked back up a Frank. “You’re not refusing to go because you don’t think I can cope are you? Because-“
“No, no baby of course not.” He shook his head sincerely “That’s not it at all, I just, well I wasn’t that bothered.”
“Okay, as long as that’s it.” She nodded, accepting his answer.
Frank watched her for a second, mulling things over. It wasn’t that he didn’t want to go and see everyone, but he just enjoyed being at home. It was strange in a way. When he had moved down here with Mary, pretty much right from the off when he met Roberta he’d taken his Friday nights and Saturday mornings as his own, and he’d needed them or he would have probably gone insane. But now, it was different. And he knew it was because Fliss was here too. Someone to spend the evenings with when Mary was in bed. That said, he also knew it was important for them to have their own time as well, and if he was honest, the idea of wetting his own baby’s head was kind of appealing.
“You know what?” He smiled as he looked down at Alex. “I think I will go. The more I think about it, the more fun it sounds. And we did it for both of Jake’s so..”
Fliss smiled and stood up, giving him a soft kiss. “Good, you can call Steve and give him the good news.”
Frank watched her head inside before he looked down at Alex who was fisting his tiny hands around his open button down. Smiling, he shifted slightly, holding him up with one strong arm as he grabbed his phone in the other. First he sent Steve a quick message calling him a sly bastard and then fired one off to the Circle Of Truth chat saying they were on for drinks. Steve replied first with a simply middle finger emoji along with the words “see you tomorrow.”
“Your Uncle is a pain in the ass.” He grumbled to Alex before he smiled, stood up and headed inside to grab a beer.
*****
“Right does everyone have a drink?” Bill looked around the group. Steve, Frank, Simon, Greg and Jake all raised their bottles. “Ok then, in honour of my beautiful daughter giving birth to my third amazing grandson, Alexander Francis William. Congratulations, Frankie boy!”
Frank smiled and raised his beer as the group all let out various cheers and calls, before taking a large drink from his bottle.
“Still can’t believe you stuck the name Francis in there.” Jake looked at Frank who raised his middle finger in response.
“Get fucked, and I didn’t. Fliss did.”
“Clearly delirious with the pain.” Simon nodded and Frank rolled his eyes.
“Yeah, yeah laugh it up.” He took a drink from his bottle, shrugging.
They stood chatting for an hour or so before Simon decided it was time for shots. There were groans and half-assed protests, Greg complaining loudly that a Head Wetting night was supposed to be civilised. At that Frank almost choked on his beer and turned to his best friend, shaking his head.
“Greg, the last Baby’s Head wetting we went to for Jake’s Annie, you were kicked out of the burrito place for spilling drinks all over the table and trying to wipe up the mess with tortillas.”
The group laughed and Greg shrugged. “Well at last I’ve never hid in the bushes and called four Ubers to play hide and seek.” He pointed at Frank who snorted.
“That was…yeah…it was a very heavy night.”
“No shit.” Jake mumbled “I woke up in the morning looking for my phone. Couldn’t find it anywhere but there was like a random piece of toast on the nightstand. Then I heard Lisa shouting. My phone was in the microwave covered with melted cheese.”
Steve snorted at that and hastily turned away as his beer came out of his nose, causing Frank to laugh even harder as Bill chuckled and shook his head.
“I was staying at my mom’s that night.” Simon mused as the laughter died down. “I was in between apartments remember? I woke up in the dog’s bed downstairs. Apparently she had come down from bed when I came in and I told her I felt sorry for Barney sleeping in the kitchen alone and I climbed into his basket with him. She just left me there.”
“You lot are worse than my gang, and that’s saying something.” Steve grinned.
“Bull shit.” Frank pointed at him. “Fliss told me loads of stuff you used to get up to.”
“Yeah, come on Ringo, you must have some stupid drunk tales.” Jake turned to Steve who grinned.
“Oh I got plenty as Frankie boy said, thing is a hell of a lot of them involve Fliss.” He shrugged and the boys laughed, Frank snorting.
“I think my personal favourite was the time you set fire to the kitchen curtains.” Bill mused, and Steve grinned.
“Yeah we were high then though, Dad, not drunk.”
“High?” Simon looked at Steve before he glanced at Frank who shrugged “Damned Frank, your girl’s a little bit of a rebel on the sly ain’t she?”
“You have no idea.” Frank smirked, raising his eyebrow.
“Dude, that’s my sister.” Steve nudged him and Frank shrugged, taking another swig of his beer.
“She was though.” Bill smiled fondly “You and her were always up to mischief. As soon as she was old enough to go drinking she was hanging around with your lot.”
“That was because she fancied Lee.” Steve snorted.
The group all sniggered and Frank laughed “Is that the guy she dated for a year or so?”
“Yes, much to my disgust.” Steve narrowed his eyes.
“Was his disgust too when you punched him.” Bill grinned and Steve sighed.
“He was shagging my little sister.” He shook his head. “Just…no.”
The group all snorted and Frank groaned “Ok, I don’t want to know anymore…”
“You have no room to be all coy about it!” Simon looked at him “Your antics in here before you got with Fliss”
“Yeah, yeah…” Frank sighed “Can we change the subject?”
At that point he felt someone shove him in the back and he stumbled forward, banging into Steve, spilling his beer slightly. There was a bit of a commotion as the rest of the group all rallied behind him and Frank spun round.
“Really, really sorry…” A dark haired man with a strong Irish accent was apologising to the group “I tripped and…”
“Fine, just watch where you’re going yeah?” Steve looked at him as Frank brushed his shirt down.
“He just said he was sorry.” The man to his left, a smaller red head shot back “It was an accident.”
“Yeah and I was just telling him to be more careful.” Steve frowned.
“Or what?”
Bill sighed and turned round “Look, we don’t want any trouble. Apology accepted so…”
The two men eyed up the group before they turned away and headed for the bar.
“Right…” Simon clapped his hands together, breaking the tension slightly “Shots and then who’s up for a game of pool?”
“Do we have to? I’m crap.” Steve shook his head and Frank looked at him.
“Yeah, I heard that before from a Gallagher.” He snorted. Steve and Bill frowned and he explained to them both. “On our first date Fliss hustled me big time, right at that table actually...”
Steve snorted “She used to do that to all of my mates. Nine times outta Ten we’d come home with more money than we started with.” He paused and looked down at his feet, before watched Bill as he turned to Simon who was heading to the bar, following him over, making insistences that he was paying again as it was his Grandson’s party so to speak. He looked back at Frank and smiled. “Dad’s right, she was fun. We had some good times, thick as thieves before she met that cunt and left for Boston.”
“Yeah she told me a bit about how close you were.” Frank smiled “But you still are now. It’s nice.”
“Got you to thank for that.” Steve looked at him “She’s back to her old self, better dare I say it.”
Frank smiled shyly, the way he always did when he was accredited with Fliss’ ‘turn-around’. “I don’t know if I can take full credit for it, I mean…”
“You gave her another chance.” Steve cut him off “A chance of happiness with a guy that’s decent and treats her right.” He shrugged “Just the way we all see it anyway.”
Frank’s mind flickered back to the moments after Alex had been born when Fliss had rather tearily declared pretty much the same to his face. He shrugged and smiled softly “Yeah, well, I was a mess until I met her to so I guess you could say we helped each other out.”
At that point a shot of tequila was shoved into his hand along with a wedge of lime and Simon held up the salt shaker.
“Drink, bitches!” he grinned, and Frank let out a soft groan. This was going to get messy.

A couple of shots and several more rounds of beer later, the group were all starting to feel the effects of the alcohol, so when Bill ordered them all a bourbon, none of them really raised much of a protest.  They stood by the pool table, the game of killer taking a lot longer than it would have had they were sober and Simon slung his arm over Frank’s shoulder.
“Can you keep a secret?” he asked and Frank looked at him, squinting a little.
“Well it depends.” Frank replied “On what it is. Like if you killed someone I might be obliged to tell the police.”
“What about if he was an ass hole and deserved to die?”
Frank paused, before he took a mouthful of his bourbon “Okay, well maybe not in that instance.”
Simon nodded “Good to know, but no..it’s…” he looked around and then grinned “Imma ask Bonnie to marry me.”
“No way man!” Frank beamed, “That’s awesome. Congratulations.”
“She aint said yes yet.”
“Well why wouldn’t she?”
Simon shrugged “I know, I’m a catch.”
Frank laughed. “No, I’m pleased for you pal.”
“Thanks.” Simon smiled “You know, I still don’t think it’s fair you’ve seen her naked and I aint seen Fliss…”
Before Frank could reply and call him an asshole Steve jumped in “I’m sorry what?”
Frank groaned. “Nothing, Simon was…”
“Frank slept with my girl.” Simon said bluntly, “Before Fliss…” he added hastily as Steve’s frown deepened.
Steve looked at Frank. “You were with Bonnie?”
“Not really, it…” Frank groaned “It was one night, we were drunk, look, can we not do this?”
“Does Fliss know?” Steve looked at Frank, a smirk on his face.
“Yes she does, she saw us. It nearly ended up in me and her not getting together in the first place so I really don’t wanna think about it.”
“Apparently in the middle of giving Bonnie one he said Fliss’ name.” Simon grinned and Frank let out a loud groan as Steve choked on his drink.
“I fahkin’ hate you.” Frank glared at Simon who was now laughing into his glass.
“Oh my God, Frank!” Steve smacked him on the back. “The more time I spend with you the more I love you pal.”
“Thanks…I think…”
“Hey, you guys ever gonna finish this game or what?”
They all turned to look at the Irish guys who had bumped into them before.
“I dunno, maybe.” Jake stood up, leaning on his cue, “Why?”
“Coz we’ve been waiting for hours.”
“Well then you can just wait longer.” Steve shot back, and the group sniggered.
“Fucking Yanks.” The guy mumbled as he turned around and Steve narrowed his eyes.
“Who you calling a Yank you stupid Irish prick, I’m from Liverpool.”
“Ok, ok…let’s…” Bill spoke loudly, hiccupping a little as he put his arm out to stop Steve who had been walking towards the man that had spoken “Just calm down alright. Soon as we’re done you can have the pool table.”
“Yeah so of you go, back to the other Leprechauns.” Steve waved him away.
“Steven.” Bill warned him, shaking his head. Steve looked at his dad before he shrugged and turned back to Frank who was stood there, grinning.
“You know what Steeby?” Frank drained his glass “The more I hang with you, the more I love you too.”
It was an hour or so later when they all stumbled out of the bar and after hugs and backslaps they headed to their various waiting Ubers. As they passed a large blue truck, Bill paused before he unsteadily dropped to his feet.
“What are you doing?” Frank swayed a little, before he turned to Steve “What is he doing?”
Steve stumbled a little and shrugged “Dad, what…are you letting the air out of the tyre?”
“Yup” Bill stood up, wiping his hands on his jeans before he pushed one through his short, grey hair. “It belongs to those little Irish wankers in the bar, saw one of them get out of it before.”
Frank looked at his future father in law, before he looked at Steve who was smirking ear to ear.
“I told you when you were a kid.” Bill pointed at Steve as the three of them staggered to the waiting car. “Easy, easy catchy monkey.”
*****
"Heyyy." Frank beamed as he stood in the doorway. Fliss looked up and smiled as he walked a little unsteadily towards her. "Hi, beautiful!”
"Hi, handsome." She smiled back as he leaned down over her. He smelt of beer and bourbon as he placed a soft kiss to her lips and she grinned. “So I see you had good time?"
"Well." Frank perched on the arm next to her and glanced down at Alex, his finger smoothing his hungrily working cheek. “We certainly wet his head so to speak."
He hiccupped slightly and Fliss looked up at him, smiling. “Yeah, it appears that way"
"Your dad's fault." Frank slid off the arm of the sofa onto the seat next to her, sprawling out slightly, his long legs stretching out in front of him. "He kept buying it. I mean one minute my glass was empty and the next it was full again."
"Sure he twisted your arm."
"He did, honest Lissy." Frank nodded, supressing a burp. "I kept saying no more, I need to get home to my girls and my boy but Bill, he is bad.”
Fliss looked at Frank who was watching Alex feed before his eyes flickered up to hers and he grinned. "Your boobs look great."
She snorted. "Sorry but for the time being they belong to your son."
"Lucky bastard"
"Well I hate to point it out to you but that's actually what they're designed for."
"Hmmm" Frank closed his eyes.
"Frankie, you need to go to bed." Fliss nudged him gently. “Or you’ll end up crashing on here.”
"In a minute.” He agreed before his eyes flicked open "Ah fahk."
"What?" Fliss asked as Alex pulled away having had his fill. She adjusted herself then him so he was over her shoulder as Frank stood up.
"My jacket."
"Baby, you didn't take one."
"Yes I did." He insisted.
"Frankie, I promise you, you didn't."
He looked at her, before be clicked his fingers and pointed "it was the leprechauns."
“The leprechauns?”
Frank nodded “Yes, the Irish guys. They must have taken my jacket.”
Fliss looked at him, before she shook her head “Okay, course they did. You should speak to him tomorrow and get it back.”
“I intend to.”
“You do that.”
“I will.” He nodded firmly before he turned and headed out of the room, banging onto the frame as he went.
Fliss laughed quietly at him, before she reached for her phone and text her mum asking her if she was awake.
“I wasn’t until your dad and brother turned up 20 minutes ago. They're in a right state.”
“So is Frank, keeps talking about leprechauns stealing his jacket...but he didn’t even take one with him.”
“Your Dad was grumbling about Irish Tourists and then started laughing about a flat tyre or something. Maybe that has something to do with it.”
“God knows, they’re going to be so hungover tomorrow.”
“I’ve left your dad asleep on the kitchen floor after he lay down there hugging a plate of left-overs from dinner. Steve at least managed to make it to his room.”
Fliss exchanged a few more amusing messages with her mother before she gave a yawn and glanced down at Alex. He was nodding off again so she stood up, turned off the lights and headed upstairs.
Frank was face down on the bed in his shirt and boxers. Fliss shook her head, smiling as she placed Alex down in the bedside sleeper, tucking him in before she moved round the bed towards Frank.
“Frankie.” She gently nudged him. “Sailor.”
Frank mumbled something into his pillow but didn’t move.
“Okay, come on.” She nudged him again, this time a little harder. “Take your shirt off and get in bed.”
Frank let out a dirty chuckle as he pushed himself up, pulled his shirt over his head and tossed it to the floor. Then he reached up, grabbed Fliss and pulled her down onto the bed, laughing as she let out a little squeak of surprise. He leaned over her, smiling down before he gave her a soft kiss.
“I love you. And I can’t wait to marry you. In fact...I think we should set a date. Properly and book it. We did say this time next year.”
Fliss smiled and ran her fingers through his hair, her hand making its way down to his neck where she gently scratched his skin with her nails. He closed his eyes, making a soft noise of satisfaction in his throat.
“Sounds good to me.” She smiled. He opened one eye and grinned.
“Yeah?”
“Yeah.” She nodded. “But we can talk about it in the morning? Bean’s gonna be up again in a few hours and I need some beauty sleep.”
“Nah you don’t” he shook his head “You’re gorgeous.”
Fliss chuckled. “Smooth.”
“I try.” Frank gave her another kiss before he pulled away. “Hey, before we go to sleep, can you do me a favour?”
“What?”
“Can I see your boobs? Just see em, I promise, no touchy.” He held his hand up, giving her his best puppy dog eyes, even if they were slightly glazed from the alcohol.
Fliss arched an eyebrow at him before she sat up, and pulled the shirt she was wearing up to flash her chest at him. Frank gave a moan and she laughed before she dropped her top down to cover herself up.
“You’re killing me, sweetheart.” He mumbled, pushing his face into the crook of her neck. He placed a soft kiss just under her ear, trailing his lips down her neck to her jaw line.
“Frank…” Fliss sighed, her eyes closing as his lips met hers, his kiss strong and passionate. She let herself go with it for a moment, enjoying the feeling. She loved kissing him, it was pretty much her favourite thing to do, and it helped he was so damned good at it. Eventually she pulled away and pressed her forehead to his. “Baby I can’t not yet…”
“I know, I know.” He sighed, “Sorry. I wasn’t trying to push you, you know that right?”
“Course I do.” She smiled, reaching up and cupping his face. “It’s ok.”
“But just so you know, as soon as I can, I’m gonna fuck you senseless.” He mumbled, giving her another soft kiss.
“Wow, romantic. The first time we can do it after I give birth to your kid you’re gonna fuck me senseless.”
“Yeah but, I’ll make you feel gooood.” He drew out the word and she grinned.
“You always do, Sailor.”
He smiled, his lips once more pecking hers before he pushed himself up and started pulling the bed covers down. He settled sideways on the bed, leaning over her slightly to glance at Alex who was sleeping before Fliss turned off the light and settled next to him as his arms wrapped around her from behind, pulling her close.

"Yeah I am." Frank grinned again before he moved to get out of the car, opening the back door for Fliss, offering her his hand as she slowly slid out. He then made his way to the front passenger side and leaned in to unclip the car seat. As he did so his t-shirt rode up a little at the back and Fliss cocked her head to the side as the flash of his boxer shorts which were visible where his jeans had dropped slightly on his hips. "Are you wearing Spongebob underwear?" She asked and he gave a chuckle as he turned to look at her over his shoulder. "They're cool." He said, his eyebrow rising over the top of his aviators. "Whatever you say sailor."
"You bought em Cowgirl." he said, pulling back out of the car, the handle of the baby seat clutched safely in his hand. "Actually it was Mary." She smiled as he shut the car door. “They were her Father’s Day Specials if I recall correctly.” “Yeah they were.” He chuckled and at that moment the door to the house opened and the girl herself shot out, Thor running past her straight up to Fliss whereas Mary made her way to Frank, hugging him tightly. "Hey boy..." Fliss smiled, ruffling his head. Alex chose that moment to make a little simpering noise and Thor turned his head to look at him.
He meet with your approval boy?" Frank asked and Thor pushed his nose back, this time concentrating on sniffing the baby.
"Ok, enough Thor, good boy." Fliss yanked him back, giving him another pat. "Let's get inside."
Frank took her hand in his and the two of them headed up the steps to the porch where Evelyn was waiting. Frank looked at her and stopped, pushing his aviators up.
“You look like shit.” He smirked. “She’s hungover.” Mary grinned.
“It was a heavy night.” Evelyn said in justification as Frank grinned at Fliss.
“Party went well then?” Fliss smiled and Evelyn groaned.
“Your dad brought out his home made coconut rum.” She said, following them into the cool house.
Fliss grimaced “Yeah, that’s deadly stuff. Me and Steve got wasted on that once, I was hungover for days.” “It tasted quite nice.” Evelyn said, “But it doesn’t feel very nice today.” Frank gently placed the car seat on the coffee table and turned to look at his mother “I’m not sure whether I should be embarrassed or proud. Maybe both.”
“Piss off Frank.” She shot back and he let out a bark of a laugh. “I’m going to make a cup of tea, does anyone want one?”
Fliss eagerly accepted as she sat down on the sofa, her hand reaching out to undo the fastenings on the car seat. She couldn’t wait to get Alex in her arms again. Frank perched on the arm of the sofa, his hand gently rubbing between Fliss’ shoulder blades as she cradled their gently, his head resting against her shoulder as he peeked around the room with his baby blues.
“How is he?” Mary asked as she approached, dropping onto the seat at the other side of Fliss.
“He’s good.” Fliss said, before she looked at Mary “Do you want to hold him again?”
Mary asked if she could head to the yard so Frank wandered out to watch her climb over the fence and head over to Joanne. The girl gave a wave which he acknowledged and then she shouted over to him.
“Hey daddy! How’s mommy?”
“She’s great!” Frank yelled back, beaming as he nodded to Mary “She gives you any trouble, send her straight home!”
Joanne waved him away and he turned and walked back inside, closing the door behind him.
Fliss was feeding Alex again when he walked back in and once he was done he went down for a nap which the new parents took full advantage of, grabbing some sleep themselves. They’d been up 3 times in the night with him, and sleeping whilst he slept seemed like a damned fine idea, even if it was only for 40 minutes or so until Frank woke up, his neck cricked from where he’d had it lay against the arm of the sofa, Fliss was snuggled up with her head on his chest, lay secure between him and the back cushions. As he watched the dog curiously, Fliss stirred a little and he gave her head a soft kiss, but she didn’t wake.
“You ok baby?” he asked.
“Do you want him?” She hesitated before she gave a little smile. “Of course I do but he’s your son too Frank.” “Maybe we need a snuggle rota.” He smiled.
“Erm, I was actually thinking that maybe before he wants feeding again I could take him to the Yard to meet Joanne and the guys?” "I forgot to say she asked after you before." Frank smiled, as he gently readjusted Alex slightly “Bet she’d love to see him, and it’ll give you chance to check everything is running smoothly." "Yeah.” Fliss smiled before she bit her lip and then looked at Frank. “Should I take him in the stroller or the baby sling?" "What do you wanna take him in?" Frank asked. "Well, the sling would be nice but it’s whatever is best for him, I mean it is warm and the sun-" "Liss, it’s almost 4 pm." Frank cut her off "The sun will be cooling off shortly and besides, we got him plenty of sun hats. Pop one on and just keep in the shade as much as you can, he’ll be fine I promise you." "Ok." She nodded, looking at Alex, still biting her lip. "I know it's stupid, Frank, but..." "Hey, no, it’s not honey." He assured her and waited for her to look at him and he smiled "Look, I’m nervous about stuff too." "You've done this before" "Only from 6 months." He said gently "But you helped Diane..." "You telling me you never helped out with Charlie and Joel when they were born?" he said calmly. She fell silent and he continued. "It's not a science, no matter what all those so called expert books and manuals say." He smiled gently "it's just a lot of instinct and love. And common sense." He added.
“That’s us fucked then” she quipped and he gave a soft chuckle as she shook her head, her hand smoothing over the back of her son’s head. "I know. You're right. I’m sorry." "Nothing to be sorry for." He assured her "I like that you’re telling me how you feel and that’s what we gotta do ok? Be honest with each other and do this together yeah?" She looked up at him and smiled "Yeah." He gave her a gentle kiss "I love you.” “You too.” She smiled, laying her head against his.
“Now, go on, get showered and then let’s go show our boy off."
***** The next few weeks flew by in a flurry of sleepless nights, feedings, changing nappies and outfits (both Alex’s and theirs following the amount of times he spit up on them) plenty of visitors and juggling a new baby with Mary's return to school. Frank grumbled one night to Fliss that with the amount of visitors they had, their front door should have been a revolving one but she knew that despite his gripes he was secretly low key pleased that his friends couldn't wait to meet Bean. It was tiring but thanks to some help and Advice from the health visitors and Fliss' mom they worked out a pretty good routine between the pair of them for night feeds, introducing Alex to formula was the best thing they did in Fliss' opinion because their baby fed an incredible amount. Which, apparently was another thing he got from his father according to Evelyn. A fortnight after Alex's birth, Frank returned back to work. Fliss had been reluctant to let him go, begging him to take an extra week but as he pointed out if he did that he would be stuck for the week before Christmas. In the end, because Fliss was flapping about being on her own with him for so long, Verity had come round for the first day to keep her company and be on hand.
On the Thursday, almost 3 weeks to the date she had gone into labour, Fliss was sat in the Garden with a drink and a book.
“Yo, Titch…” Her brother spoke and she smiled “How’s that beautiful little Nephew of mine?” “He’s fine…and so am I thanks for asking.” “Yeah, well it ain’t all about you.” Steve said and Fliss rolled her eyes “Listen, me and dad are trying to get Frank to come out for a few beers tomorrow wetting the baby’s head to so to speak but he is refusing.” “He’s tired.” Fliss said, “Alex woke at 3 and didn’t settle till 5. Frank was up at 7 for work so he probably just wants to catch up on his sleep.” “Yeah, well he can sleep on Saturday.” Steve said “He’s been fobbing us now ever since we first asked 2 weeks ago.” At that Fliss frowned. “He didn’t mention you’d asked.” “He didn’t?” “No.” she said pausing. Whilst Frank had certainly calmed down on that respect since they had first gotten together, it wasn’t like him to turn down the offer of a night out with the boys, and she could only assume it was down to Alex.
“Well we have and Dad’s desperate to take him out for a few beers. Can you see if you can work your magic?” “You want me to beg my fiancée to go out drinking, whilst I stay at home with our 3 week old baby?” Fliss asked.
“Yes.” Steve replied simply “You’re a dick.” She shook her head, “I’ll mention it to him when he gets back but I’m not promising anything.”
Frank arrived home a little over an hour later, to find Fliss led on one of the sun-loungers in the shade, Alex resting on her chest, her bare legs stretched out in front of her.
“Busy afternoon?” he quipped and she pulled her shades down to glare at him. “That was a joke.” “We had a very busy day actually.” She looked up at him.
“Where’s Mary, and why are you so clean?” “Mary has gone up to see Monty and I’m clean because I’ve been in the office and shop all day working on the rotas and a few other pieces of administration for when Alan leaves.” He shrugged “I apologise sincerely for the lack of grease and dirt.” “So you should.” She grinned “But, seeing as you’re so clean…” she moved and sat up slightly so she could hand Alex over to his daddy who took him tenderly, pressing a kiss to his head.
“Why don’t you grab a shower if you’re bothered about your hair?” he offered and she nodded, standing up.
“Hey, I was thinking this weekend you could try him in the pool” she shrugged “I can’t go in for another couple of weeks yet, according to google but you could.”
Frank hesitated “How about we wait, then we can do it together huh?”
“Ok.” She smiled “I won’t be long.”
He shook his head “Take as much time as you need. Not going anywhere.”
“Hmm, yeah, I heard.” Frank looked at her “What?”
“Steve called before. Said that Dad’s been trying to get you to go out for a drink but you’re refusing.” Frank let out a groan. “They've been on at me for the last week or so, as have the Circle Of Truth boys. Say I need to go wet the baby’s head so to speak.” “You should” she looked at him. “It’s tradition.” Frank pulled a face.
“Are you seriously turning down a night out?” Fliss looked at him.
“No, just temporarily putting it on hiatus”
Fliss snorted “Loser.” “I don’t see you clamouring to go out.” He looked at her.
“Well, actually, I was thinking of going to Lunch with Bonnie on Sunday.” Fliss shrugged “She said Rio’s are launching a new menu so…” “You should go.” Frank encouraged her, smiling softly.
“I will if you go out on Friday.” She shot back. Frank rolled his eyes and took a deep breath.
“Why are you so keen to get rid of me for a night?” “I’m not.” Fliss shrugged “Just think it’s nice that they all want to celebrate with you.” She paused and looked down at her hands before she took a breath and looked back up a Frank. “You’re not refusing to go because you don’t think I can cope are you? Because-“ “No, no baby of course not.” He shook his head sincerely “That’s not it at all, I just, well I wasn’t that bothered.”
“Ok.” She nodded, accepting his answer.
“Actually…” he said, looking down at Alex. “I think I will go. The more I think about it, the more fun it sounds. And we did it for both of Jake’s so..” She smiled and stood up, giving him a soft kiss. “Good, you can call Steve and give him the good news.” Frank watched her head inside before he looked down at Alex who was fisting his tiny hands around his open button down.
“Your Uncle is a pain in the ass.” He grumbled to Alex before he smiled, stood up and headed inside to grab a Bud.
******
“Right does everyone have a beer?” Bill looked around the group. Steve, Frank, Simon, Greg and Jake all raised their bottles. “Ok then, in honour of my beautiful daughter giving birth to my third amazing grandson, Alexander Francis William. Cheers lads!”
Frank smiled and raised his beer as the group all let out various cheers and calls, before taking a large drink from his bottle.
“Still can’t believe you stuck the name Francis in there.” Jake looked at Frank who raised his middle finger in response.
“Get fucked, and I didn’t. Fliss did.” “Clearly delirious with the pain.” Simon nodded and Frank rolled his eyes.
“Yeah, yeah laugh it up…” he took a drink from his bottle.
They stood chatting for an hour or so before Simon decided it was time for shots. There were groans and half-assed protests, Greg complaining loudly that a Head Wetting night was supposed to be civilised. At that Frank almost choked on his beer and turned to his best friend, shaking his head.
“Greg, the last Baby’s Head wetting we went to for Jake’s Annie, you were kicked out of the burrito place for spilling drinks all over the table and trying to wipe up the mess with other people’s tortillas.”
The group laughed and Greg shrugged. “Well at last I’ve never hid in the bushes and called four Ubers to play hide and seek.” He pointed at Frank who snorted.
“That was…yeah…it was a very heavy night.” “No shit.” Jake mumbled “I woke up in the morning looking for my phone.
Apparently she had come down from bed when I came in and I told her I felt sorry for Barney sleeping in the kitchen alone and I climbed into his basket with him…she just left me there.”
“I think my personal favourite was the time you set fire to the kitchen curtains.” Bill said, and Steve grinned.
“Yeah we were high then though Dad, not drunk.”
“High?” Simon looked at Steve before he glanced at Frank who shrugged “Damned Frank, your girl’s a little bit of a rebel on the sly ain’t she?” “You have no idea.” Frank smirked, raising his eyebrow.
“Dude that’s my sister.” Steve nudged him and Frank shrugged, taking another swig of his beer.
“She was though.” Bill smiled fondly “You and her were always up to mischief. As soon as she was old enough to go drinking she was hanging around with your lot.”
“That was because she fancied Lee.” Steve snorted.
The group all sniggered and Frank laughed “Is that the guy she dated for a year or so?” “Yes, much to my disgust.” Steve narrowed his eyes.
“Was his disgust too when you punched him.” Bill said and Steve sighed.
“He was shagging my little sister.” He shook his head. “Just…no.”
The group all snorted and Frank groaned “Ok, I don’t want to know anymore…” “You have no room to be all coy about it!” Simon looked at him “Your antics in here before you got with Fliss…”
“Really, really sorry…” A dark haired man with a strong Irish accent was apologising to the group “I tripped and…” “Fine, just watch where you’re going yeah?” Steve looked at him as Frank brushed his shirt down.
“He just said he was sorry.” The man to his left, a smaller red head shot back “It was an accident.” “Yeah and I was just telling him to be more careful.” Steve frowned.
“Or what?”
Bill sighed and turned round “Look, we don’t want any trouble. Apology accepted so…”
The two men eyed up the group before they turned away and headed for the bar.
“Right…” Simon said, breaking the tension slightly “Shots and then who’s up for a game of pool?”
“Do we have to? I’m crap.” Steve shook his head and Frank looked at him.
“Yeah, I heard that before from a Gallagher.” He snorted. Steve and Bill frowned and he explained to them both “On our first date Fliss hustled me big time, right at that table actually...” Steve snorted “She used to do that to all of my mates. 9 times outta 10 we’d come home with more money than we started with.” He paused and looked down at his feet, before watched Bill as he turned to Simon who was heading to the bar, following him over, making insistences that he was paying again as it was his Grandson’s party so to speak. He looked back at Frank and smiled. “Dad’s right, she was fun. We had some good times, thick as thieves before she met that cunt and left for Boston.”
“Yeah she told me a bit about how close you were.” Frank smiled “But you still are now. It’s nice.” “Got you to thank for that.” Steve looked at him “She’s back to her old self, better dare I say it.”
Frank smiled shyly, the way he always did when he was accredited with Fliss’ ‘turn-around’. “I don’t know if I can take full credit for it, I mean…” “You gave her another chance.” Steve cut him off “A chance of happiness with a guy that’s decent and treats her right.” He shrugged “Just the way we all see it anyway.” Frank’s mind flickered back to the moments after Alex had been born when Fliss had rather tearily declared pretty much the same to his face. He shrugged and smiled softly “Yeah, well, I was a mess until I met her to so…I guess you could say we helped each other out.” At that point a shot of tequila was shoved into his hand along with a wedge of lime and Simon held up the salt shaker.
“Drink, bitches!” he grinned, and Frank let out a soft groan. This was going to get messy.
******
A couple of shots later and several more rounds of beer, the group were all starting to feel the effects of the alcohol, so when Bill ordered them all a bourbon, none of them really raised much of a protest.
Like if you killed someone I might be obliged to tell the police…” “What about if he was an ass hole and deserved to die?”
Frank paused, before he took a mouthful of his bourbon “OK, well maybe not in that instance.” Simon nodded “Good to know, but no..it’s…” he looked around and then grinned “Imma ask Bonnie to marry me.” “No way man!” Frank beamed, “That’s awesome. Congratulations.” “She aint said yes yet.”
“Well why wouldn’t she?”
Simon shrugged “I know, I’m a catch.” Frank laughed. “No, I’m pleased for you pal.” “Thanks.” Simon smiled “You know, I still don’t think it’s fair you’ve seen her naked and I aint seen Fliss…” Before Frank could reply and call him an asshole Steve jumped in “I’m sorry what?” Frank groaned. “Nothing, Simon was…” “Frank slept with my girl.” Simon said bluntly, “Before Fliss…” he added hastily as Steve’s frown deepened. Steve looked at Frank. “You were with Bonnie?” “Not really, it…” Frank groaned “It was one night, we were drunk…can we not do this?”
“Does Fliss know?” Steve looked at Frank, a smirk on his face.
“Yes she does, she saw us. It nearly ended up in us not getting together in the first place so I really don’t wanna think about it.” “Apparently in the middle of giving Bonnie one he said Fliss’ name.” Simon grinned and Frank let out a loud groan as Steve choked on his drink.
“I fahkin’ hate you.” Frank glared at Simon who was now laughing into his glass.
“Oh my God, Frank…” Steve smacked him on the back “The more time I spend with you the more I love you pal.” “Thanks…I think…” “Hey, you guys ever gonna finish this game or what?”
“Fucking Yanks…” The guy mumbled as he turned around and Steve narrowed his eyes.
“Who you calling a Yank you stupid Irish prick, I’m from Liverpool.” “Ok, ok…let’s…” Bill spoke loudly, hiccupping a little as he put his arm out to stop Steve who had been walking towards the man that had spoken “Just calm down alright. Soon as we’re done you can have the pool table.”
“Yeah so hot foot back to the other Leprechauns over there…” Steve waved him away.
“Steven.” Bill warned him, shaking his head. Steve looked at his dad before he shrugged and turned back to Frank who was stood there, grinning.
“You know what Steeby?” Frank drained his glass “The more I hang with you, the more I love you too…”
It was an hour or so later when they all stumbled out of the bar and after hugs and backslaps they headed to their various waiting Ubers. As they passed a large blue truck, Bill paused before he unsteadily dropped to his feet.
“What are you doing?” Frank swayed a little, before he turned to Steve “What is he doing?”
Steve stumbled a little and shrugged “Dad…what…are you letting the air out of the tyre?” “Yup” Bill said, standing up, wiping his hands on his jeans before he pushed one through his short, grey hair. “It belongs to those little Irish wankers in the bar, saw one of them get out of it before.” Frank looked at his future father in law, before he looked at Steve who was smirking ear to ear.
"Hi beautiful". "Hi handsome." She smiled back as he leaned down over her. He smelt of beer and bourbon as he placed a soft kiss to her lips and she grinned "good time?" "Well..." he perched on the arm next to her and glanced down at Alex, his finger smoothing his hungrily working cheek "we certainly wet his head so to speak." He hiccupped slightly and Fliss looked up at him, smiling "yeah, it appears that way" "Your dad's fault." He said, sliding off the arm of the sofa onto the seat next to her, sprawling out slightly, his long legs stretching out in front of him "He kept buying it. I mean one minute my glass was empty and the next it was full again." "Sure he twisted your arm..." "He did, honest Lissy..." Frank nodded "I kept saying no more...I need to get home to my girls and my boy but Bill...he is BAD" Fliss looked at Frank who was watching Alex feed before his eyes flickered up to hers and he grinned. "Your boobs look great." She snorted "Sorry but for the time being they belong to your son." "Lucky bastard" "Well I hate to point it out to you but that's actually what they're designed for." "Hmmm" Frank closed his eyes. "Go to bed." Fliss nudged him gently "In a minute..." he said before his eyes flicked open "Ah fahk." "What?" Fliss asked as Alex pulled away having had his fill. She adjusted herself then him so he was over her shoulder as Frank stood up. "My jacket." "Baby you didn't take one." "Yes I did." He insisted. "Frankie I promise you, you didn't." He looked at her, before be clicked his fingers and pointed "it was the leprechauns."
“The leprechauns?”
Frank nodded “Yes, the Irish guys…they must have taken my jacket.”
Fliss looked at him, before she shook her head “Ok, course he did. You should speak to him tomorrow and get it back.” “I intend to.”
“So is Frank, keeps talking about a leprechaun stealing his jacket...but he didn’t even take one with him.” “Your Dad was grumbling about Irish Tourists and then started laughing about a flat tyre or something. Maybe that has something to do with it.”
“God knows, they’re going to be so hungover tomorrow.” “I’ve left your dad asleep on the kitchen floor after he lay down there hugging a plate of left-overs from dinner. Steve at least managed to make it to his room.” Fliss exchanged a few more amusing messages with her mother before she gave a yawn and glanced down at Alex. He was nodding off again so she stood up, turned off the lights and headed upstairs.
Frank was face down on the bed in his shirt and boxers. Fliss shook her head, smiling as she placed Alex down in the bedside sleeper, tucking him in before she moved round the bed towards Frank.
“Frankie…” she gently nudged him. “Sailor…” He mumbled into his pillow.
“Ok, come on…” she nudged him again. “Take your shirt off and get in bed.” Frank let out a dirty chuckle as he pushed himself up, pulled his shirt over his head and tossed it to the floor. Then he reached up, grabbed Fliss and pulled her down onto the bed, laughing as she let out a little squeak of surprise. He leaned over her, smiling down before he gave her a soft kiss.
“I love you. And I can’t wait to marry you.” He said, “In fact...I think we should set a date. Properly and book it. We did say this time next year.”
Fliss smiled and ran her hand through his hair, her hand making its way down to his neck where she gently scratched his skin with her nails. He closed his eyes, making a soft noise of satisfaction in his throat.
“Sounds good to me.” She smiled. He opened one eye and grinned.
“Yeah?” “Yeah.” She nodded. “But we can talk about it in the morning? Bean’s gonna be up again in a few hours and I need some beauty sleep.” “Nah you don’t” he shook his head “You’re gorgeous.” Fliss chuckled “Smooth.” “I try.” He said, giving her another kiss before he pulled away “But before we go to sleep, can you do me a favour?” “What?” “Can I see your boobs? Just see em, I promise, no touchy…” he held his hand up, giving her his best puppy dog eyes, even if they were slightly glazed from the alcohol.
Fliss arched an eyebrow at him before she sat up, and pulled the shirt she was wearing up to flash her chest at him. Frank gave a moan and she laughed before she dropped her top down to cover herself up.
“You’re killing me sweetheart.” He mumbled, pushing his face into the crook of her neck.
“Baby I can’t not yet…” “I know, I know.” He sighed, “Sorry. I just…” She smiled, reaching up and cupping his face “It’s ok.” “Just so you know, as soon as you can, I’m gonna fuck you senseless.” He mumbled, giving her another soft kiss.
“Wow, romantic. The first time we can do it after I give birth to your kid you’re gonna fuck me senseless.” “Yeah but, I’ll make you feel gooood.” He drew out the word and she grinned.
“You always do Sailor.” He smiled, his lips once more pecking hers before he pushed himself up and started pulling the bed covers down. He settled sideways on the bed, leaning over her slightly to glance at Alex who was sleeping before Fliss turned off the light and settled next to him as his arms wrapped around her from behind, pulling her close.

A/n: I had so much fun writing this one and it’s so much longer than I thought it was going to be but I just couldn’t stop writing. Also this quote was all I could think about when I read the request and it helped inspire the fic.
If you love something, let it go. If it returns, it's yours; if it doesn't, it wasn't. If you love someone, set them free. If they come back they're yours; if they don't they never were.
Reggie had been in a weird mood lately. He wasn’t sure if it was because he’d spent the week at home and not the Molina’s where he’d practically been living for the last couple of months. When Ray had found out about the problems he was having at home he had offered to let him stay at their place for a couple of days but a couple of days turned into a month and a month turned into a couple. Ray treated Reggie like part of the family and he always got along with Julie and he was like a big brother to Carlos, it just seemed to work. Reggie thinks that's why he had gone and let slip to Ray when he found out that Julie and Luke were secretly dating. He hadn’t meant to eavesdrop on them, he was early for band practice and was going to wait in the studio when he heard the two of them talking.
“Luke we can’t keep doing this, we’re going to get caught” he heard Julie say, her voice was muffled.
“I know but you’re dad has made himself very clear that when we started this band none of us were to date you” Luke replied.
“Yes but that was before he got to know you all, I mean look at Reggie, dad has practically adopted him” Julie pointed out and Luke let out a small sigh
“Reggie’s not the one dating his daughter though is he” he said and there was silence after that so Reggie had decided that it was time to go in.
“Hey guys” he said cheerily as he walked through the door pretending that he hadn’t just been listening from the other side of the door.
---
“Hey Julie, can we talk?” Ray asked, popping his head round Julie’s bedroom door, it had been a couple of days since Reggie had told him about what he had overheard in the studio.
“Sure dad, what’s up?” Julie asks, looking up from her homework and he comes into the room, sitting down on the edge of the bed.
“I know about you and Luke,” he says looking at her, watching the smile fall from her face, he takes this and her silence as confirmation that Reggie was right. “Julie you know the deal we had when I agreed to let you join the band, you promised me that this wouldn’t happen” he sighs
“But that was before you got to know the boys, you know Luke and you know he would never do anything to hurt me. Please just trust me with this” Julie pleads, tears filling her eyes but Ray shakes his head.
“No Julie, I’m sorry but this thing with Luke you need to end it or I pull the plug on the band” he says, standing up and walking out, leaving Julie to decide what she was going to do.
When Ray left Julie let the tears fall, what was she going to do. They had put too much hard work and effort into the band to get it to where it was now plus it wasn't just her it would affect if they had to end it, it would be Alex and Reggie as well who had done nothing to deserve this. But how could she sacrifice what she had found with Luke.
It had taken her all night but she had finally decided what she was going to do but then it had taken her even longer to finally pluck up the courage to message Luke to go through with it.
Can we talk?
Her heart raced as she sent the message but she didn’t have to wait long for Luke to read it and before she knew it his face was popping up on her screen.
“Hey Julie, what’s up?” he smiled at her but then faltered slightly as he took in her red puffy eyes and tear stained cheeks “Baby, what’s wrong?” he asks with concern clear in his voice and on his face. Julie still hadn’t spoken, her chest felt tight and she wasn’t sure she could speak without fresh tears escaping.
“I-I can’t do this anymore” she finally says, her voice quiet.
“Can’t do what anymore?” he asks softly, his brows furrowed as confusion filled him.
“This.Us.” she replies, voice cracking as a fresh wave of tears threatened to spill.
“What? Why? Did I do something?” He questions, he eyes water and he’s pulled his bottom lip in between his teeth as he waits for her to answer. Julie can tell that he’s holding back tears himself which makes it harder for her to do this.
“No but dad found out about us” she says with a shake of her head, a tear slipping free from her eyes which she wipes away quickly as she remembers her earlier conversation with her dad.
“Please Julie don’t do this. We-we can work something out, I’ll come over and talk to him but please baby don’t do this” he pleads, tears now falling freely but she shakes her head.
“I’m sorry Luke” she whispers, ending the call before she breaks down, throwing her phone down onto the bed as she curls up into a ball, tears wetting the duvet as she buries her face in it to quieten her sobs, the image of Luke face in her mind until she falls asleep.
---
“Okay what’s going on why did Luke message me to tell me he’d quit the band?” Alex asks as soon as he walks through the garage doors into the studio where he found Julie and Reggie waiting.
“Wait what-what do you mean he’s quit?” Julie asks quietly, eyes filling up with tears, she was still upset from their conversation last night and this was the last thing she had wanted, she thought if she broke up with Luke then she could still have both the band and him in her life and then their hard work wouldn’t be wasted.
“No idea just a message this morning asking me to let you both know that he’s done, he’s finished with the band” Alex explains “Either of you know what could have lead to this” he asks as Reggie shakes his head at the same time as Julie nods, causing both of the boys to stare at her.
“Me and Luke were dating” she starts and hears Alex mumble something that sounds like ‘thought so’ which earns him a glare from Julie before she carries on “My dad found out somehow and he made me break up with him if I wanted to carry on with the band.” a tear falls from her eyes as she speaks. Reggie gasps suddenly drawing the attention of the other two, his face pale as he realises what he had done.
“This is all my fault, Julie I am so sorry. I heard you and Luke in here last week and I may have accidentally told your dad” Reggie admits, his voice quiet and his gaze never leaving the floor in front of him.
“Reggie, how could you” Julie cries the tears falling again and Alex moves forward to pull her into a hug “I’ve lost everything, first Luke now the band” she says her voice muffled as her face is pressed against the front of Alex’s hoodie as he tries his best to calm her down. Reggie leaves not long after not wanting to stay and Alex stays for the afternoon, comforting her as best he could until he had to go home. She goes up to her room then and messages Luke to let him know what had happened because he deserves to know, she wishes he was here with her now but that wasn’t going to happen. When she checked her phone again she saw that Luke had read the message but not replied which had upset her even though she knew that there was nothing else to say.
---
Two years later and Julie had finished school, she had moved away for college and was ready for a fresh start. The past couple of years have been tough. Since her break up with Luke he had cut off all contact with her, Alex and Reggie. They had decided that it was best if they didn’t carry on with the band as they didn’t want to replace Luke, not that anyone could replace him anyway. Her relationship with her dad was not what it used to be and although Reggie still spent a lot of time at her house Julie had made it a point to avoid him when he was there, opting to spend her time in her room or at Flynn’s. Flynn was one of the only friends that she still spoke to except Alex who she was still close to despite not seeing each other a lot, but she was hopeful that she would make more friends when classes started.
That was until she walked into her first music class and there he sat looking just as she remembered him until she caught a glimpse of his face. He looked older, granted two years had passed but Julie didn’t feel as if she’d changed that much, his features were sharper, his hair longer and her eyes lingered on the stubble that littered his jaw. She pulled her eyes away from him, dropping her gaze before she was caught staring and silently made her way over to a desk taking a seat on the opposite side of the room so that she wasn’t tempted by him. He doesn’t want to talk to you, she reminded herself as she pulled out her notebook and tried to distract herself until the class began but making a mental note to talk to Flynn later about it. The first week went by quickly and Julie was finding herself falling into the swing of the classes quite easily, the only class she’d had a problem with was music as that was the one Luke was in and more often than not she had found her attention drifting to him rather than what the teacher. It also meant she missed the announcement of the first solo project that they were been given until she was handed a piece of paper with a list of songs on it, that she realised that they had to pick one to perform the following week, she scanned the list quickly but with nothing jumping out at her she decided to leave it until she got back to her dorm when she could go through the songs properly.
Later that evening when she had finished work for one of her other classes she felt her mind wander to the list of songs that she had been given and she reached into her bag pulling it out. She let her eyes scan the page reading each song carefully until she was left with a few that she thought were possibilities. She grabbed her headphones and opened up youtube, she searched each song listening to them carefully but it wasn’t until she had come to the last one that she had decided what she was going to sing. She spent her free time for the next week practicing the song, making sure it was perfect, ready for the performance. When the day finally arrived Julie was nervous, she knew her song choice was risky but it was a chance she had to take, the lyrics felt personal and she was hoping that with the song she could finally apologise properly to Luke. She knew there was no chance of them getting back together but she missed him and she wanted her friend back so she was willing to take the risk.
Julie got to class early on the day of the performance, it wasn’t intentional she had just gotten ready earlier than usual, trying to keep herself busy so that she didn’t think of what was to come but she also wanted to check with the teacher whether or not she was still ok to use the piano as they had been encouraged to use instruments in their performances. She noticed Luke as soon as he walked into the room, his guitar in hand and Julie felt herself smile remembering how much she used to love hearing him play. When it came to her turn Julie settled herself on the piano bench, letting her fingers rest on the keys before she took a deep breath and started to sing, pouring all the emotion she could into the song. When she came to the end of the song she let her eyes wander around the room finding Luke, his eyes already locked onto her and she kept her eyes on him as she sang the last verse to him.
“In case you hear this then know you’re the love of my life, want to tell you I’m sorry I miss having you by my side, when you were mine” she sang hoping that he could tell how much she meant it as she finished by singing the chorus one last time. She took her seat again and watched the last performances, hoping to get a chance to speak to Luke when the class ended but that chance never came and in the weeks that followed she still didn’t get to speak to him.
It was a few weeks later, towards the end of class when their teacher announced that she was putting them into partners for the next project and Julie dared to hope that she would get put with Luke as it meant she would have an excuse to talk to him. It seemed the universe was on her side as she heard her name called followed by Luke’s and she chanced a glance at him to find he was already looking at her, the look on his face was unreadable and Julie wondered if he was going to ask to switch partners but he stayed quiet. When she had finished calling out the list of names she let them know that these would be their partners for the remainder of the year and with that she dismissed them. Julie collects her belongings and goes to leave but she finds her path blocked, looking up she finds herself face to face with Luke.
“Hey” he says, a hesitant smile on his face.
“Hey” Julie responds just as hesitantly but she can’t stop the feeling of happiness that washes over her at the mere act of just talking to him again.
“So were partners” he states and Julie nods, her eyes not quite meeting his as speaks again “I was thinking, if you’ve got some free time tomorrow we could meet up and may be make a start on this, get it over and done with” he says, his hand coming up to rub the back of his neck and that's when Julie realises that he’s nervous, the hand thing she remembered him doing from when they were together.
“Yeah um I’ve got a free period at one tomorrow, we could meet and get lunch beforehand” she suggests pushing her luck by mentioning lunch.
“Cool, I’ll uh I’ll message you” Luke says and with that he’s gone leaving Julie wondering what the hell had just happened. Glancing at the clock Julie realised she was running late, she was meant to be meeting Flynn for lunch, she hoisted her bag over her shoulder and quickly made her out of the classroom.
“There you are, what took you so long?” Flynn exclaimed when she spotted Julie hurrying towards her “and what’s with that smile, you’re practically glowing” Flynn teases knowing what class she had come from and what certain someone was in that class with her.
“We’ve been given our project partners” she says and Flynn gives her a knowing look,
“Let me guess you’re with Luke”
Julie nods, “We’re meeting tomorrow to start working on the project but I asked him to get lunch with me beforehand and he agreed” Julie says excitedly as she follows Flynn into the cafeteria.
---
Later on that evening Julie’s phone buzzed and she looked down to see a message from Luke and she felt a flutter in her chest, it had been that long since he’d messaged her that it made her giddy. Before she’d even got a chance to read the message her phone buzzed again with another message from Luke and she worried that he was cancelling their study plans.
Hi Julie, it’s Luke I hope I still have the right number for you but I was thinking that we could go to the little café just off campus for lunch tomorrow.           That’s if you still want to.
Relief flooded Julie as she read his messages and she couldn’t help the smile that stretched across her face as she typed out her reply.
The next day Julie is waiting nervously outside the door to Luke’s last class before lunch, her hands are fidgeting by her sides as she waits, feeling like she did on the first date that her and Luke ever went on. She stops herself there, not wanting to go any further with that train of thought as she doesn’t want old feelings resurfacing that would ruin her chance of reconnecting with Luke. The sound of a door opening startles her and she remembers where she is, pulling herself together as she watches for Luke, smiling as he greets her with a wave. They walk in a comfortable silence on the way to the lunch, every now and then Luke will point something out to Julie or he’ll say something that makes her laugh which makes her realise just how much she has missed having him in her life but the thing that gets to her most is that while they’re walking their hands keep brushing together between them and Julie has to fight the urge not to just reach out for his hand as she doesn’t know how he’ll react.
“So how’ve you been since, you know” he asks once they’re sat waiting for their food, his voice trails off towards the end as if he’s unsure of whether he wants to know the answer or not. Julie’s smile fall from her face at his question and he back tracks quickly “It’s okay you don’t have to tell me, I shouldn’t have asked”
Julie shakes her head, “No it’s fine, I probably should’ve expected it” she sighs “It’s just been tough, you know” she says and Luke nods, he does know, those first couple of weeks without Julie and the boys had been tough to say the least as he’d been friends with them forever and to just cut off all contact was hard for him but he felt it was necessary if he was to move on.
“That morning in the studio when Alex came in and told us you had quit, I just broke down like the whole reason I broke up with you was just so that we could continue with the band because we had put so much effort into it to get it to where it was, I just didn’t want all that to go to waste,” Julie confesses and Luke stays quiet not sure what to say “and then Reggie told us what he had done and that was it, the final straw, I was completely broken. I mean I still haven’t talked to him since then and I feel kinda guilty because he’s not a bad person, I mean he does some stupid things at times but he would never intentionally try to hurt someone” Julie finishes, realising she had never admitted that out loud before but it was true, she missed Reggie just as much as she’d missed Luke but for completely different reasons.
“But you didn’t carry on with the band” Luke says finally and Julie is surprised that it’s all he has to say after what she had confessed, she thought he’d be upset that she chose the band over him but his face is unreadable and Julie’s not sure what to say.
“No, too much bad blood I guess after everything that happened,” she shrugs, “plus it’s not like we could have found anyone to replace you, no one would have compared to you” she says, panicking slightly after she’d said it. She looks at Luke trying to gauge his reaction, he’s biting his lip and it looks like he’s trying to suppress a smile and before they know it they’re both laughing.
“Okay that was cheesy, like straight out of one of those stupid rom-com movies that Alex used to make us watch” he says between laughs, laughs that earn them a disapproving look from the waitress as she brings their food over and they try to quieten down but as soon as she’s gone they can’t help laughing again. Their conversation lessens as they eat but Julie still wants to know what Luke did after he cut off all contact with her and the boys, he’s reluctant to tell her at first but he never could say no to Julie back when they were together and it seems that he still can’t now.
“I’m not going to lie mom was really happy when I quit, she’d never liked that it was what I wanted to do but I think she soon realised just how much it meant to me and how much it motivated me I guess. You know she even tried to talk me into joining the band again” he explains and Julie nods, she’d known Luke a long time so for his mom to actually want him to joint the band again because it made him happy he must have been pretty sad and it hurts her to know she was the cause of the sadness.
“Luke I’m really sorry for everything” Julie says, a sad smile on her face and Luke starts to reply but he’s interrupted by the waitress clearing their plates but he’s quick to speak up again after she leaves.
“No, one life no regrets remember,” Luke jokes making Julie giggle “seriously though I think it was good that we talked, call it closure if you will but maybe now we’ve cleared the air we could work on becoming friends again” he says but it comes out more like a question.
“That would be nice but you’ve got to do one thing for me” Julie says and Luke quirks his eyebrow at her in question “talk to Alex, he doesn't show it but he really misses you” she frowns and he nods, that he could do because he missed Alex too. They end up staying in the cafe talking, completely forgetting that they were supposed to be working on the project for music until Julie notices the time and realises that she’s going to be late for her next class. Luke offers to walk her to her next class and Julie lets him because she’s not ready to stop talking just yet as they still have a lot to catch up on, two years is a long time after all but they also need to work out a time for them to actually start their project because she really doesn’t want to turn it in late and risk having them split up if the teacher feels like they can’t work together. Julie gets to her next class on time and leaves Luke with an awkward goodbye and the promise that she will message him later.
By the time the weekend rolls around Julie’s glad that she doesn’t have to wake up early for class because her and Luke stayed up late last night talking and going over their plans for the weekend as they had decided to spend the weekend working on the project to get it out of the way so that they had more time to hang out together. When she wakes it late morning and she hurries to get ready as Luke said he was going to come over around lunch time as his roommate was having friends over and he couldn’t stand his roommate at the best of times and apparently his friends were worse. Luke was also shocked to learn that Julie had been lucky to get a room to herself and he had complained about it a lot to the point where it was starting to get on her nerves
A knock on the door grabs her attention and she opens it to find Luke with a big smile on his face and a bag of food in his hand, “Can’t work on an empty stomach now can we” he jokes as Julie lets him into her room and he begins to unpack the food. Julie is slightly shocked by how much food he’s brought but she tucks into the food anyway as they chat about their classes. It’s about an hour later when they finally start to work on the project which Luke is a bit reluctant about at first until Julie reminds him the quicker they start it the quicker they will be done with it which motivates him to get to work.
It’s late and Julie’s tired as they’ve spent all day working and somehow managed to finish most of the project for music but she’s happy just to relax with Luke. They had put on a movie after they had gotten dinner and somehow Julie had ended up cuddled into Luke’s side with her head resting on his chest and his arm around her. She can feel her eyes getting heavier and she is sure she is going to fall asleep sometime soon until Luke’s voice catches her attention.
“You know how I said that maybe we could work at being friends again, I think I’ve changed my mind” he says and suddenly Julie’s not tired anymore instead she’s worried, worried that she’s done something wrong and this is all her fault. She pulls away from him and looks at him with wide eyes as she tries to decipher the look on his face as if it will give her some clue to what he’s thinking.
“I thought I had moved on from what we had and that we could be friends but the truth is I haven’t. I still love you Julie and I can’t spend all this time with you pretending that I don’t. I just can’t take it anymore” he adds, watching her carefully hoping that she’ll give him some sign that she feels the same.
“It’s okay I understand I shouldn’t have expected us to go back to how we were before but you don’t have to stick around if you don’t want to” Julie replies, an overwhelming sadness filling her up as tears threaten to fall from her eyes which Luke must notice because he sits up pulling her close to him and holding her tight as he talks.
“That’s not what I meant, I want to try us again. I want to hug you, kiss you, hold you close and tell you how much I love you just like before. I want everyone to know that you’re mine and I am yours, no secrets this time.” he declares and Julie can’t believe what she’s hearing. She looks up at him, speechless but he takes that silence as rejection “It's okay if you don’t want to. I can pretend that this never happened and we can just be friends” he says sadly.
“But what if I can’t pretend,” Julie says, finally finding her voice again and shocking Luke “What if I can’t pretend to be just friends after hearing that you feel the same as I do” she reveals watching as a smile finds its way onto Luke’s face.
“So no more hiding” he asks, reaching for her hand and intertwining their fingers.
“No more hiding” she confirms.

You’re no fun - part two
Hotch and Reader have been friends for a while, reader works for the BAU, and reader was there when Hailey divorced him, went into witness protection and died. Now he’s dating Beth and there’s some unresolved feelings left between the two of them. But what will happen between them, and will the past come back to bite them? set during season 8, but i’ve moved some of the events round to suit my timeline (because I can and because drama!)
Aaron Hotchner x reader
part one / part two / part three / part four / part five
                                                              *
You had been at the Rossi’s barely half an hour, and you were practically worn out already. To be fair you had been chasing Jack around the garden for nearly 10 minutes. You were worn out much quicker then he was and you found yourself falling onto a bench as he zoomed past. You watched him for a moment, chuckling to yourself,  before your attention was pulled away as you felt someone sit down next to you. The person held out a glass of water to you, which you took gladly before your eyes drifted up the extended arm up to see it was Rossi. You offered him a warm smile in appreciation.
“Thanks.”
“I thought you might need it, all that running around.” You took a large gulp, almost finishing the drink.
“That boy has too much energy.”  you motioned over to where he was now zigzagging between those closer the house, trying to engage whoever he could into a game of tag. Well, just as long as it wasn’t you.
“So, where’s Aaron?” he asked, turning his attention back to you.
“He’s, at home. With Beth. For a romantic evening.” you jazzed up the romantic, trying to hide the turmoil in your stomach as you said it.
He studied you for a moment, as if trying to figure you out. he appeared to come to a conclusion before leaning back in his seat. “So, you’ve been lumped with babysitting duty.”
“no, no, I volunteered.” you were still slightly out of breath.
“Have you gone mad.” You both chuckled for a moment, before lulling back to silence, your attention once again returning to Jack, who had now managed to pull Spencer, Penelope, JJ and Will into his and Henry’s game of tag, whilst Derek and Alex watched on in amusement.
“But really, I love spending time with Jack, and Aaron and Beth have hardly seen each other lately, it just seemed like the nice thing to do.”
“Well, it’s commendable.”
“Oh sure, except for the fact that I drove, so now I can’t get drunk.” You both laughed once more, again falling into a comfortable silence. But you couldn’t stop your thoughts from drifting back to Aaron and Beth. Luckily, you got a reprive from your spiralling thoughts when you saw Spencer fall to the floor, signalling the start of a major dogpile.
                                                             *
By the time you and Jack got home it was late. Despite that, Jack still seemed to be full of energy, which astounded you. As you climbed the stairs of his apartment building the two of you hatched a plan. Jack wanted to prank his dad, still in a silly mood after the fun at Rossi’s. When you got to the door he jumped into your arms and laid his head on your shoulder, pretending to be asleep and you gently rapped on the door.
You could hear Aaron walking closer through the door and Jack let out a soft giggle from your shoulder. You hushed him quickly, just before Aaron opened the door. He went to greet you but you quickly made shushing motions before gesturing to the sleeping Jack. He let you in, and just as you crossed the threshold jack popped up and shouted at his father.
“Raaaah” Aaron jumped back, clutching his chest in fright before the three of you dissolved into giggles. Jack fell from your arms and run to his dad, who picked him up.
“We got you dad!” Jack was grinning from ear to ear, clearly delighted with what he just did. A similar smile was found on both yours and Aaron’s faces as you both gazed at Jack, finding his excitement utterly adorable.
“You sure did buddy! I’m surprised your still awake, it’s really late.” he looked towards you then, as if searching for clarification as to how Jack was still possibly awake.
“Don’t look at me! This ones been running around all evening playing tag with basically everyone and yet he’s still awake. I think I’m more tired than he is!”
It was at this point that Jack let out his first yawn of the night, before he buried his head into Aaron’s neck, which caused both of you to chuckle.
“We should get you to bed mister.”
“Yeah, I should probably head off then...”
“Wait,” Jack’s outcry stopped you in your tracks as you moved to leave, “I want (Y/N) to read me a story too.” You and Aaron looked at each other, silently debating how to proceed. You could tell he wanted to know what you thought from his eyes, so you shrugged. You wouldn't mind hanging out with Jack just a little longer, if Aaron was ok with it.
“Sure, why not.” Jack slipped from Aaron’s arms, now running down the hallway to his bedroom, giggling gleefully to himself. Aaron turned to you, a smile on his face, waiting for you to show how you wanted to proceed.
“lead the way Agent Hotchner.” you said, motioning down the hallway. He gestured to Beth on the couch, who you only now just realised was till there, to say he would only be  minute before heading down the corridor. You waved to Beth before following after him. You couldn’t help but notice the twinge of jealousy in her eyes as she regarded the two of you.
                                                            *
Jack was snuggled up under his blanket having brushed his teeth and put his pj’s on. You and Aaron were knelt either side of the bed. Just before that Jack had carefully selected two books he wanted read to him. At first Aaron had protested, saying it was too late, but he just couldn't say no to that face too long. And so, you were now halfway though reading the second book as both Hotchner boys looked on at you with admiration, a look which you missed, being too wrapped up in perfectly delivering the story, with voices and facial expressions to match.
As you wrapped up the story, both boys let out a small cheer. You played along and gave them a gracious bow, or as best you could on your knees. As Aaron finished tucking Jack into bed, placing a kiss on his forehead you got up from the floor and moved towards the door, ready to leave. Once again, a small “wait” from Jack stopped you in your tracks.
“What is it bud?”
“I just wanted to say a proper thank you to (Y/N) for taking me to Uncle Rossi’s and getting to play with Henry.”
“Ok,” Aaron got up from the floor, heading behind you to the door, “I’m just going to check on Beth.”
As he left, you knelt back down on the floor, leaning on Jacks bed. he lent towards you, a soft smile adorning his face.
“Thank you (Y/N).”
“Hey, it’s no problem. It was really fun.” you ruffled his hair, returning his smile with one of your own.
“Can we hang out again soon?”
“I’m sure we can. Promise.” You both shared one more small smile before he lay back down. You pressed a quick kiss to his forehead before leaving the room and turning the light off.
Walking down the corridor back to the living room, you could hear what sounded like hushed voices arguing. they seemed to peter out and stop as your footsteps grew louder, but there was no mistaking the tension in the atmosphere.
“goodnight (Y/N). Aaron.” Beth turned swiftly on her heel and left the apartment, leaving the both of you stood in silence, you still processing the strange departure.
“Is - is everything alright?” he stayed quiet for a moment longer before turning to you.
“yes. Everthings fine. he slipped past you into the kitchen, leaving you stood awkwardly in the middle of the living room.
“So, I should probably go.” you called out to him before moving to leave the same way Beth had. For the third time that night your attempt to leave was stopped by a Hotchner man calling “wait.” It seemed they couldn’t get enough of you.
Rather than leaving through the front door you instead followed Aaron into the kitchen.
“Look, I have an unopened bottle of wine left and I really don’t want to have to drink it alone.” you considered declining, but he looked defeated, his shoulders sagged slightly and his voice didn't just didn’t its usual spark. you decided you just couldn't leave him alone.
“And here’s me completely sober.” You watched as he pulled two new wine glasses from the cupboard and filled each of them with a generous amount. he proffered one to you which you took gladly, happy to have something to do as you could still feel the tension from earlier. You both drank in silence for a moment, before you decided to break it.
“Do you want to talk about it?”
“Not really no.”
“Do you want to watch late night trashy TV and get drunk?” He let out a laugh that almost sounded like a sigh of relief before nodding.
“That sounds like exactly what I need.”
You found yourselves curled up on the sofa, reminiscent of many a night after his divorce. You both had been so close and when those divorce papers came through, you could see just how much it affected him, and all you wanted to do was to make him feel better. So, you both found you had an affinity for late night television and wine. It had helped then and it seemed to be helping now. before you knew it you were a bottle of wine down and definitely too drunk to drive.
“Woah.” you wobbled at bit as you stood up, your joints cracking as you extricated yourself from the sofa. He reached out to steady you, his eyes studying you.
“You are way too drunk to drive. Stay here tonight, I don't want any accidents on my hands. You can take my bed, I’ll take the couch.”
“No, Hotch, I’ll take the couch, I’ve done it enough times.” many of those late night sessions after the divorce had ended with you on this couch. Although, admittedly, some had ended with the both of you in the same bed. Strictly platonic, of course ,but sometimes he just found he couldn't be alone.
“fine.” He went into his room and came back a few minutes later with a spare blanket and pillow and a pair of his joggers and a t-shirt. it was practically routine by now and the two of you were just falling back into it. you said goodnight and he went back into his room and you were left to fall into a restful sleep on the couch.

Jealousy is a Good Thing
Requested by anonymous
Pairing:  Jay Briscoe/FC
Category:   smut
Warnings:  none
1.            “Cause you know I get excited when you get jealous too.”  Jealous by Nick Jonas and Tinashe
I don’t like the way he’s looking at you
I’m starting to think you want him too
Am I crazy?  Have I lost ya
Even though I know you love me, can’t help it
“Jay!  Yo, Jay!” Mark Briscoe shouted, trying in vain to get his brother’s attention.   Mark followed Jay’s line of vision, wondering what had pulled him from their conversation.   He shook his head and rolled his eyes as he saw you dancing and laughing with Alex Shelley and shoved Jay in the shoulder regaining his attention.  “What the hell Jay?   Stop being so overprotective.”
“I can’t help it man.   Look how he’s lookin’ at ‘er.”   Jay said.   “She don’t seem to mind.”
“Y/N is fuckin’ crazy bout you man.   She don’t want none of that.”   Mark tried to calm his brother’s insecurities.   Sometimes he wanted to smack him upside the head to knock some sense into him.  He also thought he wasn’t good enough for her.  Was blind to just how in love Y/N was with him.
“Why she dancin’ with him then?”  Jay asked returning his glare to the couple on the dance floor.
“Cause they’re friends?”  Mark responded.  “And her boyfriend won’t.”
“The hell he won’t.”  Jay snapped slamming his beer mug down on the bar and marching across the crowded bar to the dance floor.   With nothing but a snarl he yanked you from Alex’s arms and into his making the other man back away hands raised in a conciliatory gesture.
“Hi baby,” You said happily snuggling into his arms as your bodies rocked to the music.  “What brought this on?”
“You’re too fuckin’ sexy.  Boys need to stay off what’s mine.”  Jay growled into your ear, placing a damp kiss on your neck as he pushed your hair to the side.
Cause your too sexy beautiful
And everybody want to taste, that’s why (that’s why)
I still get jealous
“Only yours Jay.”  You confirmed, pressing your hips back into his groin making his hands tighten on your hips.
The two of you danced for a several more songs before heading back to the bar for a break.   You had a smile on your face as Jay pulled you along by the hand.  It was so rare he would dance with you.   You supposed you should thank Alex for getting him jealous.
Jay took up residence on a stool and you moved between his legs, laying your head against his chest as you surveyed the room.   You leaned into Jay’s touch as he stroked down your waist and up again, sending chills through you even in the overheated room.   You giggled when he pressed a hot kiss to the rim of your ear and flicked his tongue over it.
“Stop being a tease babe.”  You scolded playfully. “You’re getting me all hot and bothered.”
“That’s the plan.”  He said and you could hear the smirk in his voice.  “Get your pussy so wet you wanna get the fuck outta here and ride my cock.”
“Fuck,” you moaned, drawing your lip between your teeth as his dirty words flowed through your core.   Your eyes closed as you imagined just that scenario, only to pop back open when you heard Jay talking to someone.  You glared as the pretty blonde bartender leaned flirtatiously over the counter, pressing her tits in Jay’s direction as she flirted with him.   To Jay’s credit he wasn’t paying her much mind, but you still couldn’t let that slide.
“Fuck off.  Do you not see me here sitting right in his fucking lap?”  You spat turning around and pointing your finger angrily in her face. “He’s mine.”  You yanked his face down to yours and shoved your tongue into his mouth and kissing him thoroughly as she scurried away.
“We’re leavin’ now.”  Jay said throwing some cash on the bar top and yanking you along behind him.
You’re the only one invited
I said there’s no one else for you
Cause you know I get excited
When you get jealous too
Jay didn’t have the patience to wait until he got you home, pulling you directly on top of him in the back seat of your car, already shoving his pants down his hips and exposing his hard and ready cock.
“Hop on sugar.”  He said with a leer watching as you hiked your skirt up and pushed your panties to the side, sliding onto him with ease.   “There we go, ride me girl.”
You rocked your hips and began lifting yourself up and down, palms braced on Jay’s chest as you moved, your slickness dripping down as you moved, moans coming fast and loud from both of you.    Your fingers dug into him as you picked up your pace.
“This is mine.”  You said fiercely, leaning down to press a hard kiss on his lips.
“Only yours.” Jay confirmed breathing heavily as he bucked up into you, matching your movements with his own.   “And your mine.”
“Goddamn right.”  You said with a smirk.   With a quick movement Jay flipped you onto your back, sliding himself back inside you and thrusting wildly.  Your legs moved to wrap around his waist, heels digging into his ass urging him to fuck you harder and faster.   Jay moved his hand to your clit, rubbing it roughly between his fingers, squeezing and pinching you as you cursed your encouragement at him.
“I’m coming Jay,” You screamed twitching around him as he gave violent twist on your clit, making you come as he did, hips stilling as his seed filled you.
“I love it when you get jealous.”  He said with a smirk pulling his pants back up.
“You were jealous first.” You pouted pulling your skirt down over your hips.
“Maybe so. “  He admitted. “Let’s go home for round 2.”  He suggested and you nodded happily in agreement.   You would have so much more fun with him then you would out at some bar.

Private Dance // Kara x Reader
A/N: cute and flirty and smutty Kara time!! It isn’t as lengthy as I’d wanted but hey! It’s finished!!! enjoy my lil smutbabies!
Adding the finishing touches to your lipstick you stepped back and assessed your black bodycon dress, thick heels, waved hair. Proudly you smacked your lips together to finish off getting ready. On days you felt particularly down, primping yourself up always had a way of lifting yours spirits. It also helped knowing you were showing off all your assets in this dress. Your phone pinged alerting you to leave, and you scurried out your door and into your Uber. Arriving to the bar a tad late, you found your familiar team huddled into a booth in the corner. Seeing your outfit, James and Winn both locked on different parts of your body. “Wow..” they both mumbled in unison and you couldn’t help but smile at the reaction you’d gotten. Shimmying into the booth you gave Lena a small hug and blew a kiss to Kara across the table as everyone chatted. “Wanna go grab shots with me?” The older Danvers hollered over the music and you nodded enthusiastically. Forcing the boys to scoot out to let her up, Alex linked her arm in yours as the two of you strolled to the bar. Once you were away from the group and some of the noise she shot you a side eye accompanied by a knowing smile. “By the way, killer seductress outfit.” Her words made a playful grin spread across your face as a shot of vodka was placed in front of each of you. “I’m sure I have no idea what you’re talking about.. but I’ll cheers to it anyway.” With a wink she clinked glasses with you, before you slowly brought the shot to your lips and downed it throwing your head back ever so slightly. Sucking your cheeks in like a fish you shook your head as it burned all the way down. “Remind me not to order that again..” Both of you nodded in agreement with small shivers.
In the meantime James, Lena and Kara had made their way to the bar and you avoided eye contact opting to speak to Alex again instead. “Another shot?” Motioning to the bartender to get you something different this round. “I’ll jump in that.” James waved a hand up to let the man behind you know to pour four instead of two. He did so with a crisp bottle of Tequila, and Lena grimaced slightly but begrudgingly agreed. He set the lime slices and salt shaker next to you all before giving a nod and moving to his next customers. Hopping up onto a barstool you handed Lena and Alex their limes before grabbing your own leaving the fourth on the plate for James to grab himself. Without missing a beat you and Alex licked the backs of your hands and added salt. The other woman groaned at the action and followed. James simply held the salt shaker in his hands, pouring it into his mouth before abruptly taking the shot and popping the lime between his lips. Winn made his way over and smacked him softly. “So much for all for one huh?” He laughed softly before taking the salt from his hand and following suit with his own acquired shot, grimacing slightly from the sourness as he sucked at the lime slice. Again you and Alex cheers your glasses, adding Lena to the mix this round. Just as you brought the glass towards your lips you met Kara’s eyes for a split second. Just long enough to draw her in before you slowly lick the salt from your hand and throw back the tequila. You pucker your lips again before sucking at the lime, lips curling around it slightly. You can feel the stare coming from your side and you simply smile. Riling Kara up was always way too much fun, and tonight you planned on having just that.
Winn clapped his hands together and rubbed them with a deviously playful grin. “I’m gonna go set up shop at the jukebox, anybody got requests?” He waggled his brows at the group and everyone collectively shrugged before you voiced your opinion. “Something dance-y.” You nodded once and he returned it, pointing a finger gun at you. “You got it!” He scurried off, James and Lena trailing behind him to reclaim their seats in the booth. Alex turned to you with a grin before her eyes landed on Kara. Your own followed, but ventured over her body and the way her pink dress clung to it so gorgeously. Just as your gaze met her ass Alex spoke up and your head popped back to her. “So who’s gonna take this with me?” In the time you’d be daydreaming she had ordered another two shots, and you sniffed to the familiar smell of coconut and your hand reached out for it. “Oooh gimme gimme.” Kara giggled at your excitement, motioning it to you. “By all means, not like it’ll do anything to me.” Again her eyes watched your lips meet the glass, the way your throat rolled as it slid down it, the sigh you made at the taste of the alcohol. She didn’t need to drink to be intoxicated, you were more than enough for that.
Noticing her gaze you held a hand out to her just as an upbeat R&B song filled the room. “Come dance with me?” Just to fluster her you nibbled at the corner of your lip, watching as her eyes darted to it while she fumbled over her words. “I-I, uhm, yeah, yes let’s go.” She nodded enthusiastically and you practically pulled her to the dance floor. Glancing to her you smiled brightly, holding both her hands gently in yours you began swaying your hips to the beat keeping your eyes on hers. An adorable giggle traveled past her lips to your ears and melted you, mindlessly pulling her closer the more the song picked up. As the chorus started she spun you, so your back was to her and surprisingly she pushed up against you to sync her hips with your own movements. You didn’t know if it was the alcohol settling in or the way her hair brushed your shoulders that gave you the surge of confidence, but your hands pressed hers firmly to your hips and you rolled them back into her, your ass pressed against her tightly. Behind you, her breath tickled your neck as she sighed from the feeling. Her grip tightened on your hands to hold you where you were as she ground herself against you with a skillful roll of her hips.
Suddenly your panties felt tight and constrictive, the thin layer of cotton quickly soaking and clinging to you the more the two of you danced. Her strong hands gripped tighter to your hips, increasing the friction between you enough for you to feel every movement of her hips. By now you were throbbing, your core aching to be played with. The song slowed to a stop and unfortunately so did both of your movements, but Kara kept her hands firmly to your waist in order to keep your body against hers. A shaky breath rattled out of your lungs and she noticed just how flustered you were now. Leaning down to your ear her voice came out a seductive whisper. “Let me know if you want a little more private dancing.” She pressed her lips just below your ear with an opened mouth kiss, her hot breath somehow sending a chill down your spine. Feeling the way your body shivered only tightened the the feeling in her even more, gaining a small groan from her as she reluctantly pulled away from you. She kept her hand low on your back, her pinky brushing against your ass as you walked, surely on purpose. Noticing the rest of your group sprawled around the bar scene, you simply opted for scooting into the previously full booth with her alone. Even with the extra space she slid right next to you, immediately placing a hand on your thigh as her eyes landed on yours.
“Have I mentioned how delicious you look tonight?” The way she phrased the compliment stirred the pool between your legs and you cleared your throat, your legs clenching slightly as you did so. Kara quirked a brow in your direction feeling your legs flex and she glanced around, slowly trailing her hand under up your thigh and past your dress. Your hand flew down to her wrist in attempt to stop her, but she simply smiled back to you while she spoke. “Nobody’s around..” she paused feeling your grip soften at the suggestion, and she licked along her bottom lip while her fingers finally found your soaked panties. She groaned at the feeling, instantly beginning to rub you through them. “And clearly you wanna be touched..” Her voice lowered and dripped into your ears like honey. Without another word she slipped her nimble fingers past your panties to finally press against your clit. The much awaited contact brought a breathy moan to your lips and you let your hand fall to her own thigh with a tight grip. Around you people’s conversations floated in one ear and out the other, and Kara gently shushed in your ear before her free hand reached for her glass. Every motion synced, she brought the drink to her lips while slowly running his finger along your wetness. As she drank, she rapidly flicked one digit against your clit making your hips twitch and your teeth to sink into your lip to keep quiet. She took the final swallow and sighed blissfully, finally slowly her movements to firm but slow circles. She kept this pace for a bit while nibbling at your neck and ear.
For a split second you lost your composer and whined rather audibly. Thankfully the music saved you and rang louder than your pleasured noise. That was close enough for the Kryptonian though, and she slowly trailed her hand back down to your leg, knowingly letting your juices roll against your own thighs. A hard sigh parted your lips now and you tightened your grip to her thigh to gain her attention. The moment your eyes met you kissed her, your tongue pushing last her lips to coil around hers. The whimper that fell from her was enough to melt you. Breaking the kiss you smirked over at her and let your lips brush hers as you spoke over the music. “Let’s get out of here..?” Before you could think Kara linked her arms around your waist and shot off out the door and into the cool night air. A squeal escaped you and you clung tightly to her frame as she flew you through the city back to her loft. As soon as her feet hit her balcony she tossed you over to her bed with ease, whirring herself about the space to light candles and play light music before she had crawled on top of you. “Do you even know how gorgeous you are?” She asked as her hands rubbed your inner thighs. Nibbling at your lip, you shook your head up at her. Her eyes glistened in a way you’d never seen before and it was absolutely breathtaking, more than she already was. Even her worst days she looked like a goddess to you. She dipped her head into your neck, kissing sloppily all over your skin as her hand slid up your dress again.
No longer worried about your volume you whined at her, your hand resting in the bend of her waist. “Kara.. please don’t tease me.” You nudged her cheek to get her to look at you before crashing your lips up to hers. Instantly her demeanor changed, and you felt her legs tense around you a bit. The hand on your thigh slid your dress up, before groaning and pulling her lips back. “Are you.. attached to this thing at all?” She twiddled the fabric in her fingers and you skeptically shook your head to her, and that was all she needed. In one swift pull she shredded the garment from your body, tossing it out of sight and speeding to strip herself as well. The gasp you let out amused her like no other, but she wanted to hear so much more. Again her lips went to your neck, this time beginning to suckle at your skin to bring a bright red spot where her lips had only been for a few seconds. Over and over she marked you until her lips had travelled down to your chest, leaving a final dark purple hickey above your breast before she removed your bra to expose your skin. Your head fell back against her pillows and your eyes fluttered closed, or you’d have been aware that she was leaning over your waist to bite at your panties. Feeling her teeth graze your skin made you shiver, and you happily lifted your hips to let her strip your lower half.
Before you could even take another breath her lips met your dripping folds. A sharp moan escaped you as her tongue immediately went to work against your clit, circling over the bundle of nerves skillfully. One of your hands found her golden hair and brushed it from her face, holding the back of her head as she pressed herself even deeper into your core. Her tongue slipped itself between your folds to tease your entrance, making your hips buck up off the mattress slightly. You heard Kara giggle a bit as her arm came up to easily pin your body down. Again her tongue returned to your clit to lick slow zigzags across it, her fingers finally moving to enter your soaking self. Another small groan left you and Kara reacted by pumping her fingers faster, adding a second to stretch you as her lips suckled at your dripping folds. If she hadn’t been holding you your body would’ve jolted off the mattress, and she felt you tense against her simply flicking her tongue harder to your nerves. “Fuck, Kara, I-I—“ your words were interrupted by her fingers thrusting harshly into you, causing a shrill gasp to fill your lungs. The breath released as a long and whiny moan as her fingers curled inside you, over and over in a come hither motion, and lord were you about to. With your entire body beginning to quiver at the pleasure she sent though you a final circle of your clit sent you into your climax. Your juices spilled all over her hand and mouth, and she enthusiastically lapped up every drop with an appreciative moan of her own that was music to your ears as you rode out your high. Finally regaining your ability to breathe steadily you opened your eyes, watching her lean away and lick the glistening mess from her face. She kissed her way back up your slightly sweaty skin, softly humming her way up to the crook of your neck, the opposite side of her artwork. You wound a hand in her hair and tugged her head back so you could crash your lips to hers.
The faint taste of you left on her tongue only melted you more, like you were an ice cube and she the hot summer sun. Upon pulling away she grinned down at you, bringing her lower lip between her teeth. “Was that.. good?” Her question struck you with surprise and you blinked in response. “Kara, that was beyond good.” You watched her face tint red and she huffed out her usual nervous laugh, before nodding. “I think I need more practice..” Noticing the glint in her eye you whined, pulling her in to kiss you again. “I’m all for that, just... later.” You admitted sheepishly, letting out a giggle of your own at how she beamed so proudly at wearing you out. She plopped next to you and ran her fingertips over your skin in lazy patterns and hearts, admiring your body. After a few minutes of comfortable silence, she sat up over you again with a slightly puzzled expression. “So, I’ve never like.. had a girlfriend..” she started, and you felt your heart flutter as you rolled to face her on your side. “But I really, really, obnoxiously so want you to be my girlfriend.” She muttered out in a rush, causing a wide smile to crack across your features. Leaning over you stole her lips again, following it with a smile and an enthusiastic nod. “Absolutely.” A playfulness took over your expression before you finished, falling into a fit of giggles directly after saying, “Super girlfriends.”

Dean made his way to the waiting room, content knowing Y/N was going to get at least a little bit of alone time with the baby before they brought any visitors back.
The maze of hallways would’ve made Dean lose his way but the plaques on the wall lead him straight to where Sam, Jody, Alex, and now Claire were sitting in the waiting room. They sat silently, awaiting the news of Y/N and the baby.
Sam noticed Dean first as he quickly stood from his seat which triggered the three women to bring their tired eyes up to Dean.
“Is everything okay?” Sam asked, his eyes scanning Dean’s face.
Dean couldn’t contain his smile as he nodded, Sam’s figure visibly slumping with relief. Dean beamed at the four of them, “They’re both doing good- really good.”
“So...” Claire began, excitedly. “Is it a boy or a girl?”
Dean’s smile seemed to grow wider, “it’s a boy!”
They all desperately tried to keep their cheers quiet as they congratulated Dean, Sam clapping his brother on the shoulder. Dean looked over at him, “there’s someone you need to meet.“
With one last wave to Jody and the girls, Dean lead Sam back to Y/N’s room, knocking quietly on the door as they entered.
Y/N laid against the pillows on her bed, marveling at the small bundle of blankets she held in her arms, running a finger over her son’s features starting at his forehead and down the bridge of his nose, over his cheekbones and down to his chin, unable to take it all in.
He was perfect.
The noise of the door opening pulled Y/N from her trance as Dean came through the curtain followed by Sam, whose eyes melted at the sight.
“Hi, Sammy.”
“Hey, kiddo.” he beamed as he pressed a kiss to the top of her head. He looked over her shoulder as she pulled the blanket away from the baby’s face. “Wow, Y/N...he’s beautiful.”
Y/N nodded, “do you want to hold him?”
Sam quickly nodded, sitting on the end of her bed as she handed him the baby, his tiny body curling up against Sam. Y/N smiled, amazed at how much tinier the baby looked in Sam’s arms.
“God, he looks just like you.” he smiled, rocking the baby slightly, only taking his eyes off of him to look at his niece again, ”What did you name him?”
Y/N had never been exactly sure what she was going to name her child. The entire nine months, it had been in the back of her mind but she could never come up with anything she really loved. However, the name seemed to come to mind the minute he was born, it’d popped into her head out of nowhere, almost like fate.
She smiled down at the baby in Sam’s arms again, “Joseph. Joseph Dean Winchester.”
Dean quickly looked over at his daughter from where he sat next to her bed, his eyebrows cinched together in confusion as Y/N smiled, “Jo...and Dean.”
Y/N nodded, wanting to commemorate both of her parents, even if only one of them could be here to see their grandchild. Now, her son would always carry them with him.
Dean smirked, running a hand over the baby’s dark hair, “I like that.”

“We’re going to have so much fun, you know that?” Dean said to Jo as he rocked with him in the rocking chair so Y/N could get some sleep. Jo’s round eyes stared up at him as if he were intently listening to every word Dean had to say. “We’ll play with toys and we’ll go to the zoo...you like animals?”
Jo continued to stare at him, making Dean shrug, “yeah, me either. What about music? Don’t tell me you’re a Bon Jovi guy- I mean, don’t get me wrong, he rocks. On occasion.”
He watched as Jo’s face began to twist upward, his mouth folding downward into a frown as his eyes pinched together. Dean knew that look- the waterworks were coming, fast.
He quickly stood from the rocking chair, bouncing Jo up and down as he whimpered against his shoulder. “Shh, shh. It’s alright, little guy- I get it, Bon Jovi isn’t for everyone.”
“Dad?” Y/N’s groggy voice asked from her bed. “Is he hungry?”
“Just a bad taste in music on my part,” Dean said as he pulled the blankets back up to his daughter’s chin, Jo’s cries beginning to quiet. “Go back to sleep.”
Within seconds, she had already fallen back into her slumber, Jo now only quivering his lower lip, big tears rolling down his cheeks. “Okay...alright..” Dean had to think quickly, singing the first thing that came to mind, “So close, no matter how far, couldn’t be much more from the heart...”
He snuck a peek at Jo who began to settle against him now as he continued to sing, “Forever trusting who we are, and nothing else matters. Never opened myself this way life is ours, we live it our way. All these words I don’t just say and nothing else matters.”
Jo’s eyes slowly closed, his long eyelashes fluttering into a calm sleep as Dean sang the Metallica song, smiling in triumph, “Yeah...Metallica calms me down, too.”

“You ready to go, honey?“ Dean asked his daughter as she dressed Jo, putting him into his car seat, buckling him in. She stood back, hands on her hips as she viewed her work. Jo sat in his seat, his blue eyes wide.
She smiled at him as she laid a blanket over his tiny body. “Whatta ya say, Jo...you ready to go home?” He stared back at her like she’d grown a second head. “I’ll take that as a yes.”
Dean rolled in a wheelchair as Y/N sat down, the car seat in her lap. Maneuvering around was still troublesome, the pain in her lower region still very evident.
As Y/N approached the front doors of the hospital, she tightened her grip on the car seat as Dean pushed the chair out into the fresh air, the sunshine warming the parking lot.
Fear began crawling up Y/N’s throat at the realization that now, they were truly on their own. No more doctors or nurses to tell her if she was doing something wrong; if she was holding the baby’s head the wrong way, if he was hungry or tired or needed a diaper change, it was all on her now.
She took a deep breath, pushing the fear down, knowing it was natural. She was a new mom, she was bound to screw up and make mistakes, but none of that mattered.
Sam pulled the Impala up to the entrance of the hospital, taking the car seat from Y/N’s lap and clicking it into the car seat latch. Dean helped Y/N up from the chair, walking her around to the other side of the car as she situated herself next to Jo, his little hand wrapping itself around her finger, her heart nearly melting down into her shoes
Sam and Dean slid into the front seat, the rumble of the engine nearly lulling Jo to sleep already. Dean watched in the rearview mirror at his daughter, finally glad they were all together again.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
“Go around me!” Dean called out of his window at the car that was tailing him for the past half a mile because he was going 25 in a 45. Car continuously swerved around Dean, passing him in the other lane.
Y/N gave apologetic looks to all the cars that passed, most of them seeming to understand once they saw Jo in his car seat.
Sam was constantly checking up on Y/N and the baby, making sure that Jo’s seat wasn’t jostled around too much or that the bumps in the road didn’t hurt Y/N, either. She assured him that they were fine, multiple times. Sam tried to keep his cool, knowing that he was being slightly obsessive, but, nevertheless, the questioning continued all the way back to the bunker.
The minute they sprung into the garage, the brothers sprung into action, Sam taking the carrier from the backseat and Dean grabbing the bags from the trunk and helping me inside, helping Y/N down the numerous steps.
By the time they’d even made it down the stairs, Sam had already made a spot for Y/N on the couch. “Thanks Sam.” she smiled as Dean carefully helped her to sit as if she’d break if she moved too quickly.
Y/N looked up at Sam who was still holding the carrier in one, hand, Jo contentedly sleeping inside. She watched Sam, confused as to why he hadn’t taken him out yet.
“I was too scared...you know, to move him.” Sam started, the tips of his ears going pink in embarrassment.
Y/N laughed, reaching for the carrier, “I’ll do it.”
Sam gingerly set the carrier down next to her as she unbuckled the straps over his chest and carefully lifted him out, holding him against her chest.
Y/N sighed, letting her head fall back on the couch as Sam and Dean sat on either side of her, unsure of what to do next.
“We’re really doing this,” Y/N said to no one in particular. Sam and Dean nodded to themselves, confirming what she’d said.
She thought about the last nine months. How it all started that one fateful morning at Jody’s house, finding out that her one night of fun would turn into so much more. She thought about Ben, and how even though he wasn’t going to be around, she’d be everything she could for Jo, even if that meant being his father too. He really didn’t know what he was missing.
Y/N smiled to herself, knowing that she was going to do everything in her power to make Jo’s life the best she could. And, she knew she really wasn’t doing it alone.
It wasn’t going to be easy, but they’d get through it, just like they always did.

Last Game Novel English Translation (Ch 1 Part 1-Invasion)
Tumblr media
As requested I began translating the Last Game novel! Things to keep in mind are this follows the movie storyline (not the manga, it is indeed a bit different), and there are INDEED SPOILERS. So only proceed if you want to be spoiled.  I’m planning to split each chapter into two parts (8 chapters=16 parts total)
Prologue Translation
The five unparalleled geniuses, the “Generation of Miracles.” And the one the five of them acknowledged, the “Phantom Sixth Man.” And then he appeared before them, as if it was fate that they were all gathered in the same generation. Kagami Taiga. The one that was the same as the Generation of Miracles, but didn’t become one of the Generation of Miracles. He held the same gift as the geniuses and the last one to awaken-“The Miracle that didn’t become a Miracle.” He met his fated Shadow, and became a true light. The Light fought his rivals and increased his brightness, and finally led his team to win the Winter Cup and become the number one team in Japan.
And now,
The Light and Shadow arrive at a new stage.
Click the ‘read more’ to continue to the first half of Chapter 1!
* I revised some of the sentences a bit to give a better visual to match the scenes in the movie.
Ch 1-Invasion
Kagami Taiga returned to Japan during summer of his second year in middle school.
“I’m Kagami Taiga. I came from America. I played basketball over there! My dream in the future is to be an NBA player! Nice to meet you everyone!” Kagami greeted loudly to his classmates on his first day of his transfer.
“When you make friends, appeal is important. Such as what you like and what you’re good at. You gotta let people know you’re this kind of person.”
That was the inviolable rule his first friend in America, Himuro Tatsuya, taught him.  Kagami looked up to him like a brother, and thanks to his advice he became completely absorbed in basketball, and at the same time he made more friends.  That’s why even if he’s in a new environment, he said his introduction that way hoping that he can make friends in the same way.
However, his classmates’ reactions were not what he was expecting.
His self-introduction only caused a stir among his classmates, and he didn’t feel the distance between them grow closer at all. Instead, for some reason he could feel them giving him strange looks. In his head Kagami was trying to figure out why, but he thought that the beginning was something like this so he let it go.
But soon after, Kagami would understand the meaning behind those strange looks.
After transferring, Kagami of course joined the basketball club, and participated in practice.During the mini-game, Kagami showed off his amazing skills.  He easily got past the defense standing in his way and finished it with a one-handed dunk.
“Who is that?! He did a dunk!”
“He’s the guy who came back from America.”
The play that was beyond middle school level had caused a commotion among his clubmates as Kagami let go of the hoop ring and landed on the floor letting out a light huff.
“Sorry, you okay?” He extended his hand to a student who had fallen on his butt. When Kagami dunked, the student who was defending him lost and got knocked down with his momentum.
The student looked at Kagami’s extended hand, and gave him a sharp glare in return.
Kagami thought to himself that it wasn’t the first time he saw that look given to him. Faintly recalling his memories, he finally remembered the guy as “one of the students in my class.”
“Ahh….this is really demotivating,” said the student.
“Eh…..?” Kagami’s eyes widened.  He couldn’t comprehend what the guy was saying so suddenly.  Ignoring the shocked Kagami, the student stood up on his own and was indeed scowling at him.
“ Your face just now totally looked like you were thinking ‘Compared to American basketball, basketball here is super boring…’ right?” Kagami hastily shook his head, “N-no I wasn’t thinking that…”
The student interrupted him. “It’s fine. There’s no way you wouldn’t be thinking that,” he coldly replied.
As if rejecting Kagami, the student ran off ahead.  Looking at the student’s back as he left, Kagami finally understood.  He also understood the meaning behind the “strange” looks in class.  The reason why he recognized his clubmate’s glare at him, was because it was the same glare given to him in class.  Actually now that he thought about it, the looks he received were all cold and rejecting, as if he was an annoyance.  Even if he made a play with someone with a different opinion, it wasn’t fun. That much was clear.
“What the heck is that….” Kagami felt the gloominess inside him grew.
This “gloominess” continued to grow with each passing day.The exclusion from the basketball club spread to the classroom until he was completely isolated, and the swelling inside him grew even more.
With no one to talk to, let alone anyone to play basketball with, Kagami’s heart hardened. Alone in his middle school life. His  mumblings to himself was bitter as always.
“It’s super boring…..someone do something about it please…”
  -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Three years has passed since then.
Kagami was now a second year in high school, walking and swaying in the heat waves on his way to school.
“Haaaaaaaa, it’s soooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hot. What’s with this heat.....” he groans annoyingly. “………also……why are you walking behind me?!” Kagami swiftly turned around and standing right behind him was Kuroko Tetsuya who as always nonchalantly replied.
“Good morning, Kagami-kun. More importantly…”
“?”
“It’s hot so please stand up properly.”
“Don’t use people as shade!!”
As if responding to Kagami’s pressing complaints, a pair of pointed black ears popped out of the bag slung on Kuroko’s shoulder.
“Arf!”
“Wah!! Nigou was here too?!”
Kagami quickly backed up. In front of him with its face sticking out of the bag was a puppy with round and cute eyes.  It was Seirin High School Basketball Club’s dog mascot, Tetsuya Nigou.
“It’s my turn to look after him this week,” Kuroko explained immediately to Kagami who looked like he was about to ask, “Why is he here?!”   Then he gave Nigou a rub on the head who let out a cute whine.Kagami pouted back at him. Even now he still doesn’t see Nigou as “cute.”
At that moment, Kagmai’s smartphone suddenly rang.
“Oh?” Kagami took his phone out of his pocket and looked at the screen with his eyebrows raised. The caller displayed was his basketball mentor who was currently in America.
“It’s Alex…… Hello?” Kagami switched to talk on the phone, but before long, his face color changed. “Eh?.....America?”
Kagami stopped and stood on the sidewalk anxiously, as Kuroko stared and watched next to him.
 -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The one named Alex, whose full name is Alexandra Garcia, hung up her phone and smiled at the man sitting in front of her.
“I told him your request, but I’m not sure what he’ll say.” “I see…..” the man sighed, mixed with anticipation and dejection.  Then he stood up and walked around the room.  The meeting room was usually used for briefings or scouting and filled with people, but right now it was just Alex and the man.
“Before I saw the video, I was half in doubt….But I was surprised, that a player like that was in Japan,” the man said with excitement in his voice as he still remembered the video Alex showed him of the matches in Japan.
Alex let out a small smile, but it wasn’t because she was happy at his response.  His reaction was just as she had expected.  Even for her old self, she once thought that Japanese matches were mere child’s play.
However, the moment she saw her favorite pupil’s match in person, her mentality made a 180 degree turn. That ability alone is what made young players in Japan so fascinating. Even a scout man who’s seen players win the all-American tournament couldn’t ignore it. There was no way.  Alex had confidence in that.
Finally the man stopped and turned to look at her.  “Can I look forward to a positive response?” he asked her.
Alex only lightly shrugged her shoulders.  Even she herself wasn’t sure.  The one to decide was him after all. However, there was one thing she did know.  She says with a kind face resembling that of a mother’s, “I can assure you that he loves basketball more than anything.”
(T/N The translation for the conversation between Alex and the scout is pretty much what they said in English during the movie. Though for the scout his Engrish was a bit hard to understand but this is what he was pretty much saying.)
 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After school, Kagami and Kuroko finally arrive at the audiovisual room where the Seirin basketball members were already sitting and lined up.
“You’re late Kagami!” Izuki Shun frowned and scolded him much like a vice-captain should.
“You’re the one who said you wanted to watch this!....” Koganei Shinji also looked like he was sick of waiting and urged him to hurry.
“I’m sorry…..deeply!” Kagami quickly bowed his head. (T/N Apparently they didn’t notice Kuroko was with him…or they just only scolded Kagami. Also Kagami was using his awkward polite-talk here)
“It’s okay just hurry up and sit down,” said Tsuchida Satoshi in a kind voice.
“Okay!”  Kagami answered obediently, and he and Kuroko sat in two open chairs.
As if it was waiting for Kagami and Kuroko to sit down, cheers started playing on the TV installed on the teacher’s desk.
“Oh, it’s starting,” said Izuki.  All of the team members shifted their focus to the TV.
In order to watch THIS today, they stopped practice and gathered in the audiovisual room instead.  What was on the TV was an outdoor street basketball court.  A female announcer smiled and started talking with the court seen behind her filled to the brim with spectators.
“It’ll finally begin now. The street basketball super exhibition match! Please take a look. The audience is overflowing with excitement! It’s no wonder because team playing today is that super team! America’s…no, the world’s most overwhelming street basketball team, Jabberwocks!
The screen switched to show the recording of them arriving at the airport.  Tons of reporters surrounded the robust men as they came out of the arrival gates.  Jabberwock’s five members, including their leader, were not only young around the age of 18, but also possessed superb strength that could bewitch the audience and on par with NBA players.  They walked through the aisle of continuous camera flashes, showing off their overpowering presence.
Displaying their ferocious and muscular bodies and their stares looking down at the reporters, their absolute confidence was enough to reach those watching on the television screen.
Finally, the cameras showed the last man to come out of the gate.  A complete change from the other four who walked in front of him, he had somewhat of a vibe of a gentleman.  He was Jabberwock’s leader.
After showing his slight mysterious face, the screen reverted back to the current livestream of the street basketball court.  The cheering still continued as they waited impatiently for the arrival of Jabberwocks.
“Everyone! Sorry to keep you waiting!” yelled the MC into the microphone he held in one hand as if he was waiting for his moment to come. “The amazing basketball team Jabberwocks exhibition match will soon start!”
The venue excitement reached its climax that it even reached to Kuroko and the others watching on television.
“Being able to watch authentic street basketball is pretty exciting isn’t it?” Kuroko commented to Kagami next to him.
“Yeah!” Kagami responded excitedly without tearing his eyes away from the TV.
Also looking at the TV screen, Izuki let out a chuckle.  “I wonder if things are going well for those two….”
“I wonder,” smiled Tsuchida.
“Those two” was referring to Aida Riko and Hyuuga Junpei. Riko’s father, Aida Kagetora, who was Jabberwocks’ interpreter and guide, managed to get two viewing tickets which were supposedly hard to obtain.  It was thanks to him that those two were at the venue right now.  When Riko got the tickets, she asked the team who wanted to go with her. But, everyone decided to help a certain fellow out (they already couldn’t stand his incompetence anyway) and as a result it was decided that Hyuuga and Riko would go.
“Go for it, Hyuuga….Clutch Shoot her heart!” Koganei enthusiastically sent his thoughts towards the TV even though Hyuuga wasn’t on it.
“ACHOO!!”
Whether or not Koganei’s message reached him, Hyuuga let out a huge sneeze.
“Woah are you okay?” Riko asked Hyuuga as he rubbed his nose.
“Y-yeah…”
At that moment the MC’s voice resounded throughout the venue.
“To start us off, introducing Japan’s special team! Team STRKY!!”
Joined along with loud cheers, 5 young men appeared at the edge of the court.
“Oh, here they come. But to really think that those guys would form up together….”  Hyuuga remarked. The players that Hyuuga and Riko looked down upon, were faces they knew too well.
Number 4, Imayoshi Shouichi (from Touou Gakuen High School)
Number 5, Higuchi Shouta (from Rakuzan High School)
Number 6, Miyaji Kiyoshi (from Shuutoku High School)
Number 7, Kasamatsu Yukio (from Kaijo  High School)
Number 8, Okamura Kenichi (from Yosen High School)
They were all players from the power house schools they once fought against.
 To be continued…

“You’re Too Young” -- Michael Del Zotto Imagine (Part 5)
A/N: Cash me ousside, how bow dah.
(Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3) (Part 4) (Part 6)
“God dammit, Michael. Just say something.” I angrily huffed. “I’m growing tired of your antics. Grow up and have a conversation like an adult, for once.” Michael hit the brakes of the car, almost causing a pile-up behind us.
“Are you serious, Zoe?”
“Yes, absolutely. And maybe if you didn’t always insist on having me travel everywhere with you, we would be able to have a real conversation somewhere other than your car! Now drive because you’re going to cause an accident.” I grabbed my oh-shit handle as Michael pulled angrily into a nearby parking lot.
We were at a small restaurant that looked to be very fancy and expensive. A place you most definitely wouldn’t catch me at. We pulled into a parking spot, and a few other cars pulled in behind us. They were team members arriving to join the so-called fun. Two heads popped up next to my window and knocked excitedly. I smiled at Gina and Shayne as I rolled the window down.
“Hey, you two! You comin’ in?” Gina said happily, with Shayne tightly by her side.
I laughed lightly, trying to lighten the mood and to also give myself a few seconds to think of an excuse. “Yeah, we’ll be right in. I seem to have lost my phone so we’re trying to retrace my steps and decide whether I left it at the arena or it slid into the abyss in his car.” My response caused Shayne to laugh, telling me that that is absolutely something I would do. “I’m not really in the mood to lose a phone today. We’ll be there in a few.”
Gina gave me a hard stare, knowing exactly what was going to happen. “Sure. See you guys soon.” The two of them waved to us as I rolled the window back up and unbuckled my seatbelt.
“You’re good when you’re put on the spot.”
“Are you finally ready to be an adult?”
“Would you stop treating me like I’m a child?”
“Now you know how you’ve been treating me for the past what, two and a half years?”
He slammed the steering wheel out of frustration. “What do you expect me to say!”
“Tell me how you feel, Michael, about me. Tell me what your thoughts are on the idea of us. You need to use your words, you need to communicate with me.” He licked his lips in frustration, thinking intently. When he didn’t say anything, I decided to help him out. “Okay, I guess I’ll start and give you an example. If the other night in your apartment wasn’t obvious enough, then here it is. I like you, Michael, a lot. I’ve felt something for you almost since the day my family moved to Canada. That’s a long time. But you know what, I always thought that what I felt was never reciprocated, because you always acted like a brother. You were always so adamant on being like a brother. I thought that nothing could ever be possible between us. But, I was wrong. And now here we are, I’m spilling my guts, trying to get you to talk, because I know that you feel something too. But you need to tell me how you feel, otherwise I’m going home.”
“You’re not going.” He scoffed, trying to call my bluff. I pulled up my contacts and hit Macy’s name as I opened the door and placed one foot on the ground. Michael quickly pulled me back into the car, ripping the phone from my hands and ending the call.
“I wasn’t kidding, Michael.”
He looked at me and breathed in and out, processing his thoughts…then it suddenly all came out like word vomit. “Alright, fine. I’ve had a thing for you ever since I taught you how to make whiskey sours. That was the night I fell head-over-heels for you. You got me hook, line, and sinker that night.” He caught his breath. “Zoe, I like you a lot. Like, a lot, a lot. It scares me how much influence you have on me.”
An annoyed breath escaped from my chest. “Dear God, fucking finally!” I let out boisterously. “Now we can go eat! I’m starving.” I slid out of the car with grace and bounced onto the sidewalk. Michael’s door opened and I immediately began spitting off foods to eat tonight. “Ooh, I’m really in the mood for some shrimp, and some pasta. But I could also go for some crab cakes, so I hope they have—”  Michael chimed into my thoughts. He was standing with his door open and his arms out wide. “…Did you say something.” Did he say something?
“Zoey. That’s it? All is fine and dandy?”
I nodded my head back and forth in contemplation. “Uh, yeah.”
Michael’s hands gripped his face and I could see his smile from beneath them. “I don’t understand you.”
“Literally, all I wanted from you was to tell me that you liked me, and that I’m not like a damn sister to you. Was it really that hard?”
“Alright, don’t push your limits.”
I threw my arms out and smiled. “So, do you wanna kiss now or later?”
“What! Zoey—”
“Okay, that’s fine. I’m hungry anyway.” I turned on my heel and walked in the direction of the entrance.
“Wait, Zoey! That’s not fair! Zoey!” I heard his car door close and then the beep of the horn. His shoes scuffled along the sidewalk as he jogged toward me.
“Ya’ snooze you lose, mister!” I twisted around to see where Michael was when I was blindsided. Before I knew it, his hands were wrapped around my waist pulling me close to his body, and his lips were on mine. My heart dropped to what felt like the pit of my stomach and then exploded into a million butterflies. His lips were eager, hungry, soft…
My hands found their place on the sides of his neck, pulling him closer to me, if that was even possible. I could feel Michael’s heart beating rapidly against my chest, but it could have been mine. Either way, I losing my senses the longer our lips kept contact. I smiled into him when I heard loud banging and muffled hoots and hollers. We broke apart to see the team inside the restaurant pounding on the windows. “Oh my god,” I muffled into my hands that covered my beet-red face. Michael laughed at the situation, removing my hands and kissing my cheek.
“Let’s go get something to eat and let someone else provide the entertainment for the night.” Michael pushed me forward and I caught Macy, Ally, and especially Alex, out of the corner of my eye freaking out. Macy couldn’t stop smiling, Ally was dancing and Alex looked extremely confused.
Walking inside found Michael and I greeted to many “cheers” and “congratulations” and rounds of applause. “Alright, alright, settle down,” Michael told his teammates as we walked to the booth that was just big enough to hold a majority of the team. The booth forced close relations to everyone, which I was fine with. Macy kicked Ally and Alex out of the booth so that Michael and I could slide in. Michael scooted in effortlessly first, and then, with his hand on my back, guided me into the spot next to him. Despite just having a game, he smelled of something…rich: dark woods, warm spices, and amber. Macy followed suit and Mark Streit followed her. The second I got settled Macy redirected her attention to Streit, who was just as interested in the conversation as she was. They laughed at something funny and Streit slipped an arm around the back of Macy while she dropped her hand on his thigh. Smooth.  Macy and Streit…now that was a sight. A slight giggle left my mouth as my thoughts wandered.
“What’s so funny?” Michael caught my attention.
“Nothing.” I smiled at him. He smiled back. “You know, I’m glad that you invited me to come out tonight.”
“I’m glad that you said yes,” he stated without hesitation. He pulled me in close and placed a kiss on my forehead. “I glad that you’re here,” he whispered.
Gina sat across the table from me and quickly caught my attention, giving me the “I told you so,” look and raising her eyebrow. She leaned forward and quickly began chatting my ear off, catching me up on all that had happened while I was occupied with school. Gina helped keep the atmosphere relaxed, but it also helped that Michael and I were finally on good terms. My terms. Dinner went smooth and before I knew it, groups started to head out. There were about twelve of us remaining and someone brought up the idea of going to a club. The guys didn’t have practice tomorrow and Gina sure as hell wanted more time to catch up with me. I turned to my friends to get their input. Alex and Ally opted to head home early, both of them having their parents in town and a large Sunday brunch on the menu. Macy said she was totally up for staying out as long as I felt decent, to which I agreed. The evening was going great so why not keep it going?
Michael and I hit the bar as soon as we got to the club, practically ditching the rest of our crew. I winked at Macy and then at Gina, both of them laughing at my antics. Michael ordered us both a round of tequila shots. Three rounds later I could think of so many ways to improve licking salt and sucking limes. But that was for another night.
We chatted over whiskey sours before hitting the dance floor. Michael wasn’t one to normally dance, but then again neither was I. The alcohol was coursing through our systems and found us acting a little risky on the dance floor. His free hand found my hip and pulled my back against his chest. I pushed my hips into his groin, which cause him to send a low groan into my ear. I peeked a glance at him while biting my lip, acting as innocent as I could.
His lips found the side of my neck and sucked on my sweet spot right below my ear. A soft moan escaped my lips, and he took that as an invitation to slid his hand from my hip down to the front of thigh, where it dipped to the inside of my leg. I gasped and grabbed his hand off of my thigh, spinning to come face to face with him. Although I was slightly past being buzzed, my cheeks heated up at the thought of anyone watching us. He wasn’t being very discreet.
“You’re going to get us both in trouble,” I whispered into his ear as I trailed my fingers down the back of his neck.
“I certainly wouldn’t mind getting into some trouble with you tonight.” I matched his gaze and brought him in for a kiss. I pressed deep into his lips and he reciprocated. My heart thumped and my stomach dropped, exactly like earlier. I pulled away, but not before biting his lip and giving it a tug. A painful “fuck” escaped his lips. I pulled him from the dance floor to a table, where I kindly asked him to get me another drink. I kept my gaze focused on his body as I watched him walk to the bar, gaining the attention of the bartender. My eyes examined every inch of his body, placing it into deep into my memory.
“Zoey Palmer!” Hearing my name shook me from my daze. I followed the sound until I saw a familiar face walking toward me. It was…Joe! From my dance class. I gave him a hug as we chatted for a few seconds. As quickly as he showed up, he was gone, and then a loud thud redirected my attention. Michael slammed my glass down on the table. His face of lust now masked by anger.
“Don’t start.” I scolded him.
“Who was that.”
“It doesn’t matter, Michael.”
“Yes, it does. Who was it.”
“Are you really going to do this. Right here? Right now?”
“Absolutely.”
“Michael, you’re drunk, and that’s why you’re getting upset. Please tell me you’re not always going to be this way when you’re drunk.”
“He was hitting on you, and you were enjoying it.”
“Oh my god, no, Michael. He was not hitting on me! Even if he was, know that I was not enjoying it. Come on, Michael, it’s been such a good day, please don’t ruin it now.” I laid a hand on his arm, hoping to make eye contact with him, but he was too focused on eyeing down Joe from across the room. He was muttering some choice words to himself under his breath and being childish all over again.
“Alright, well I’m going to go to the bathroom and hopefully by the time I get back you’ve come to your senses and stopped pouting like a child.” With a roll of my eyes I slipped off my seat and grabbed Macy away from Mark as we walked toward the restrooms.
“I see there’s an issue between Michael and you already? Not sure if that’s a good thing or a bad thing.”
“Well, it’s definitely not great,” I muttered as I closed the door to a stall. “God, I hope he’s not always like this when he gets drunk, because this shit is not gonna fly with me.”
“What happened?” Macy said through the openings of the stall.
“He got upset because he thought a guy was hitting on me.”
“Was he?”
I slammed the stall door open and came face with Macy. “God no! It was Joe from our fine arts class. He wanted to say hi and then proceeded to ask me a question about our syllabus.”
“That does sound like Joe.”  I shook my hands dry of water before grabbing a few paper towels and walking out the door.
“Of course it does. But Michael threw a fit, again, and wouldn’t let me expl—” My jaw dropped when I saw the sight in front of me. Macy gasped when she caught on. Michael was dancing with not one, but two girls on the dance floor. My words got caught in my throat. Macy tried to pry me away from the scene, but I couldn’t move. Mark came over to Macy and I, confused as to why we looked like we had seen a ghost.
“You two alright?” Macy nodded her head and he, too, dropped his jaw at the sight in front of him. “But, I thought…”
“Me too,” I mumbled. My legs were getting weaker and my lips began to quiver. It was only when I saw Michael head toward the door with both girls that I lost my composure, Mark catching me at the last second. He scooped me up and had Macy grab the keys out of his pocket, implying he was going to drive us home. The alcohol got the best of me as tears started to slide down my cheeks. I could feel Mark moving with purpose to get out the door, with Macy hot on his heels. I lifted my head at the perfect, or should I say worst, time. Through blurry eyes I could see Michael stumbling into a cab filled with high-pitched laughters. My tears grew to sobs and then my sobs grew to chokes. This was painful.
I had finally gotten what I wanted, but it was nothing like I’d ever expected.
