#i genuinely don’t think he should have the fanbase he has. i don’t know how he still has it

have been trying not to get super mad over dream and mcc. i think he and sapnap should’ve been permabanned after they got massive amounts of hate sent H (and possible death threats then? you know when he did the space bar glitch) as well as constantly sent to scott and noxcrew (correct me if i’m wrong haven’t his fans called scott slurs?). and yet they still get to play and they still get to being down the mood and they still act like massive dicks. i generally try to ignore them and try to do my best to have fun with whoever i’m watching but it’s so difficult. Dream whining about the ace race redo was so stupid. he only got first because the people in front of him dc’ed. if he had the skill he should’ve been able to get first again it should’ve been no big deal. around 10 people dc’ed and he’s acting like it’s not a massive issue.
also. do any of the other competitors sans his friends even like him? because i swear so many people i’ve watched have shown open disdain for him. he’s an over competitive asshole who has a massive unchecked ego and his fanbase protects him from anything bad because they’re so fucking rabid. also i can’t even imagine it’s fun to play this way? I’ve had so much more fun watching mcc since I’ve watched people who’s content i like and also since i’ve stopped caring so much about winning. i can’t imagine what it’s like to get so hung up over a FOR FUN event. i think he’s fully tanked any popularity he has outside his fanbase so nice one on that.

I honestly don’t care if this is a hot take or not. If you are willing to excuse everything that Coriolanus Snow did because he’s HOT now, you are the same type of people who would be susceptible to propaganda or the people who would be complacent in the face of the oppressor. One of the biggest assets to Snow both in the book for Ballad and for the film was his looks. He was attractive to people, and he knew this would play into his advantage in winning people over. Mix attractiveness and charisma and people are willing to listen. It’s a cheap trick, and when reading you could even find yourself laughing at those who fall for his very obvious malicious intents. However, the movie did not give the viewer Snow’s monologues. They did not have the same voices in the film. They just had to rely on Snow’s body language through his actions and his dialogue. In a sense, that only makes Snow’s manipulation much more potent in its execution. You shouldn’t NEED a book to tell you that Snow was being manipulative the entire time. You shouldn’t need the oppressor in your head telling you what they’re thinking to recognize that their plans are nowhere near GOOD. People who are willing to excuse Snow for his actions because of his smile or for his Slim Shady buzz cut need to reevaluate themselves. This is the same Coriolanus Snow that killed over 1,500 kids in the Hunger Games alone, not including the people killed in the shadows or during the active resistance itself. This is the same Coriolanus Snow who is responsible for SELLING CHILDREN into PROSTITUTION to others in the Capitol. He is the reason for the creation of the avoxes, for making being able to live a fraction of a stable life a prize to be won, and more. Snow is EVIL and he always has been. He mentioned Tigris selling herself for their sustainability and calling her ugly in response. He shows disdain towards his own grandmother. He uses Sejanus to his advantage and kills him when it benefits him. Lucy Gray angers him because she is the one person that he cannot control. His love for power is the thing he ogles at the most, and when someone poses a threat to that power, he’s enraged. Everything that Coriolanus Snow does is for his own gain and his own approach to or reaffirmation of his power. Every choice he made in Ballad was for his own self interests. I saw someone on TikTok say that it was “survivalist instinct.” Yes, he had survival in mind with some of his actions, but his overall goals in the novel were centered around his rise to power and what can possibly bring him there. Snow has always been centered around himself. The fact that you are able to watch that movie and still walk away kicking your feet and twirling your hair over CORIOLANUS SNOW shows me how fickle you would actually be in places of resistance. You bought into his manipulation and are giggling about it when you should be concerned. Some people are willing to JUSTIFY what he’s done. I have NEVER seen so many people go around in circles trying to justify the actions of PRESIDENT SNOW since this movie came out and it genuinely scares me. Simping over TOM BLYTH is one thing and THIS POST IS NOT FOR THOSE PEOPLE. But the people who BOUGHT into Snow’s manipulation, you’re fucking dumb as rocks. Remember Finnick? Everyone in this fanbase was all over Finnick and how attractive he was in the movies and how badly they wanted him. When the fandom finds another pretty boy, they gravitate towards him knowing he’s the one that murdered their first. One of the biggest tragedies about Snow’s character is that you see who he could have been, and then you see who he CHOSE TO BECOME. People forget the latter part. He chose to become who he did, and you’re trying to tell me everything he did was for survival? The public clearly has beauty trump critical thought, and you SHOULD be scared.

unit 4402, not to be needy in your inbox, but i haven't stopped thinking about the pliskin fic ever since i read it. it's so good. the emotional intimacy. the little snippets of their friendship before they actually meet. the stupid clumsy confession scene(s?). it's SO well-crafted, you should be a licensed writer.
alas i need pliskin!reader and ike to meet again and be horny because i think it'd be funny and endearing. they have all this emotional closeness but when it comes to actually being together irl they're suddenly shy and overwhelmed at the prospect so they act like teenagers again. i don't even need to think about the actual nsfw parts, i just love imagining them navigate this new romantic territory and being in love and making mistakes and laughing about it and being so sweet i get cavities 😔 i love them, they should be together forever i think

it’s like this ok. they’re both such sweet people and genuinely want the best for each other, all this time has let them understand how they see one another and how to communicate, especially since they’re miles away from one another. every now and then the stars align and they get roped along into an off-collab with some of their other friends, and find excuses to sneak out by themselves just to spend time with each other and catch up on all the little touches they missed.
hands bumping together here, an arm around the waist there. resting on one another and taking in the scent as you wrap your arms along him. you spend a wintry week in london with half of the luxiem boys and a few other livers that want to visit, but you don’t miss how ike’s fingers brush against your neck as he places his scarf around you. the touch is brief but you have to grit your teeth as he ties the scarf, and the remains of his touch burns like coal under the fabric, unsatiated. you can’t keep your eyes off him but your hands want to explore, make him feel good.
eventually you both make time to meet up for a few days, just the two of you, discreet enough that only a few of your close friends know that you’re housing a guest at your place and your fanbases are unaware. it’s not like it was the whole point of the visit, to be clear! horny thoughts be damned, you really did want to see him again. being able to show him around your town and do the cheesy couple things—holding hands, cute dates, sharing clothes, the whole nine yards—it feels like a dream.
on that first night you agree he'll share the bed with you, and when he makes sure you're comfortable with it, he pulls his shirt up over his head and falls asleep half-naked under the covers. you wake up the next morning with a view of nothing but his chest, which pairs nicely (read: awkwardly) with the dirty dream you woke up in the middle of before you could get full closure.
you bring it up to him that very day. it starts off simple:
"do you ever want to have sex? yeah, i'm ready for it. yeah, i understand. that's what you want? i can do that.”
and it's just so easy deciding it then and there. and then he asks questions, and you're glad to receive them, and that makes you ask him about his preferences, too, and the conversation gets more intimate from there and halfway through it hits you that it's really happening and that, god, you're ready but you're not prepared at all for how bashful you're getting and he's getting bashful too and it's good information that should be out in the open and you're glad it is especially because it's important to know what is and isn't okay and he needs to know too but—phew. the conversation ends when everything's been said but your flustered face is in your hands and ike's been wiping a cleaning cloth at his glasses for the last ten minutes so he doesn't have to make eye contact.
but, well, you're both on the same page now! and the feeling is mutual.
and he's on top of you now. his glasses rest on the nightstand, and without them, his eyes are so, so clear, and bright, even as the red around his cheeks threatens to burn brighter.
"this is okay?" ike asks. one of his hands holds you down by your wrist but you can feel him tremble. he lets go to wipe his hands on the sheets. "sorry, my hands are sweaty. it's just that i've been looking forward to this for so long."
he giggles a little at his own awkwardness, and it spreads to you, too. he sounds so soft and cute. you sound like a weirdo. "oh, me too, you have no idea."
his eyes flit down. "can i take off your...?"
"yeah, you can s-strip me. if you want..."
bad choice of words. or good? you can't tell, just that it's making your heart lurch as he undoes the button. an inch of your underwear peeks out.
"oh, so you're wearing this color? it's really you," he says. it's so matter-of-fact and unsexy that you can't help but laugh. “wait, no, i mean, it’s good! i like it! they suit you—oh, forget it, i give up.”
you stay giggly while he undresses you down to the skin. you meet his lips and kiss him, soft and smiley as he shakes off the embarrassment. "never change. love you."
. . • ☆ . ° .• °:. *₊ ° . ☆
ah i got carried away but what if one or both of them are virgins...
they get to explore everything for the first time and with it comes all the anticipation and surprise and pleasure of feeling it all for the first time... you know. how wet it is and where things go. how the actual action is done so soon but how long you can savor the foreplay.
and all the silliness that comes with it! it's trying something new together. every touch runs electric and it's so hard not to beam at how it feels. bonus points if they're ticklish and laugh while fucking, turning the little shivers and thrusts even more intense, all smiles and loose laughter while you enter for the first time

(Context: This is part of the Narrator essay I'm writing but I think this section was broad to taken outside of the essay. Take this as a little PSA)
(A Short Word about Boundaries and Parasocial Relationships: This is a Serious Section; FINISHED)
(Also a quick note: If you see a post or person that does something similar to what I'm writing about, please do not harass them. Especially when it's people having parasocial relationships. They just need to be careful to not have a unhealthy attachment over people since it hurts them mentally in the long-term. I chose to not name anyone or use specific pronouns for the sake of anonymity; not for any malicious attempt.)
For people in the fandom who are wondering, I have unfortunately seen people border on the line of sexualizing the Narrator’s VA, Kevan Brighting. More specifically, disregards his boundaries for how he wants his voice to be used and not used; especially in context to…not safe for work uses of his voice. I want to say this now before this escalates into people genuinely crossing this line and I feel like it’s a good reminder. We should care about making Kevan Brighting as comfortable as possible when engaging in the fandom, as he now knows what we say about him. As funny as his “sexiest man in Britain” tweet was, he knows. We should care because he does connect himself quite often in fan-made and Stanley Parable-inspired projects. He has always absorbed himself in the fanbase when he didn’t absolutely need to since the original game came out, and it’s best to have him stay comfortable doing this. Since his level of involvement in the fandom is not very common, to begin with, it’s not wise to give him a reason to stop. Also, more generally because it’s not okay at all to disregard anyone’s expressed boundaries and it shouldn’t be a normal thing to do. Actually, in this case, it’s really creepy and disrespectful and did I mention creepy?
For context, a Tumblr user by the name of @/shinakazami1 contacted Brighting to ask for his thoughts on his voice being used for AI. This was his response;
Tumblr media
“...Regarding AI - I hate everything about it. The idea that someone could use my voice for something I don’t agree with is abhorrent. A voice artist must have artistic control over the work he/she does…” - Excerpt of his response
Tumblr Post; for Context: https://www.tumblr.com/vega-482/711812424798535680/kevan-brightings-opinion-on-voice-ai?source=share
You must be wondering about the connection between AI and the sexualization of the voice actor. See, the reason the user contacted Brighting, to begin with, was because another person on a Stanley Parable Discord server posted an NSFW audio of the Narrator. Using the AI of Brighting’s voice to do so. Pain. Agony, if you will.
There are a lot of ethical issues behind this action. Aside from the reason Brighting stated directly, this could also affect him financially; as he is a voice actor and general voiceover artist. AI audios of his voice would certainly impede his career. As an artist, this is a genuine thing he would probably worry about; and rightfully so. In the case of NSFW audio, this may also overstep a potential boundary he may have. Especially when it is NSFW without his permission. Even if he had no issue over NSFW audios particularly, he would have an issue about being in audio where he didn’t even get the chance to accept/deny. Even if you’re embarrassed, just ask him about his boundaries. Like, he should at least have a choice to say ‘no, fuck off’ and take requests on his own terms. Hopefully for obvious reasons. …but people kinda suck.
Unfortunately, it’s not just that one Discord user. Bro, I’m at my limit. I’m gonna have to talk about TikTok. God damnit. I said TikTok was its own beast about the Narrator for a reason. TikTok as well as Instagram, are mostly known in fandom spaces for containing edits of whatever character in whatever media. There’s a lot of work and effort that is put into making edits, and many are rewarded by people barking in the comment sections. As someone who has seen edits from different fandoms for about three to four years, I respect many editors and I understand why some would edit certain characters. Of course there are going to be edits of the Narrator; especially if you include Sad-ist’s Clock 0ut animations that are inspired by the Stanley Parable. It’s a hot old guy with a hot voice; I’m not exactly shocked by that in itself. By extension, of course some of those edits are suggestive or lean into NSFW territory. It’s understandable and it can be fine to make those edits if it doesn’t impede on real people’s boundaries or if the involved people openly say ‘It’s good, bro’. Now here’s where the problems start.
At least a few TikTok edits have used AI of Brighting’s voice for parts that have NSFW. Whether it’s having the AI say NSFW things, having it be implied or even having it whimper, the main gist is that his voice is used for NSFW; despite the voice actor not directly consenting to a part of it. I’m so done with you people. Many potential problems would occur because of the decision of doing such. I already brought up how Brighting’s career of voicework could be affected financially by the use of AI but there’s another potential issue. It could probably also affect him socially and his involvement in future projects. The fact that these edits featuring AI don’t get that popular, is kind of a miracle. If those edits ever went outside of the fandom and into a more professional setting, it would be unnecessarily difficult for him to explain that he wasn’t even a part of those edits. I say ‘unnecessarily’ because you don’t even need AI to hear him in that context.
You could’ve used a scene from one of his audiobooks. They work for their intended purpose and you don’t even have to buy the books. I understand not doing some things because of money problems but… NSFW audios aren’t a necessity and the audiobooks are free! If it’s because of convenience, then how is AI any more convenient? It’s not hard to find the audiobooks at all! Some of the audio files are on Tumblr for fuck’s sake. There’s no logical sense of why the decision of using AI is okay because it’s not okay. It is very disrespectful to disregard his boundaries and if I really wanted to go there, this borders on harassment. It’s not difficult to respect open boundaries that are openly stated with absolutely no ambiguity. Look, at least for the audiobooks, Brighting did them willingly. You did not need AI; you really didn’t.
Some people even go as far as to say his tweet about him being the sexiest man in Britain was indicative that he’s fine with the sexualization of the Narrator and by extension, NSFW edits featuring AI. Well, that’s a fucking reach if I ever saw one. Even though the sexualization of the Narrator wasn’t even the issue stated, Brighting responded in an email stating how much he hated AI. The AI is the issue; not the Narrator simping. Kevan Brighting can think the sexualization of the Narrator is funny because the Narrator isn’t real. But Brighting is real. He’s a living, breathing, voice-acting guy with boundaries. You couldn’t be bothered to have the NSFW audios be from the audiobooks he agreed to be a part of and consented to do? If you could put enough effort into making a TikTok edit, you could put enough effort into not being a smooth brain. You don’t need a fictional character’s consent, but you do need consent from real-life people who are affected if you don’t respect their consent. If you can’t understand the difference between a fictional character and a real person to where it affects real people in reality, you shouldn’t be trusted to post anything of that nature.
It’s one thing to not know and later to apologize for your mistake. But, it’s another thing to hear his response that he doesn’t like AI of his voice period…like at all and it’s just…one ear and out the other. The people who make these edits with AI did not understand why he said this and should have apologized or deleted them after being disclosed of his boundaries. It won’t kill you to have basic courtesy. I assume most people don’t know of his thoughts on AI before making the edits because if they knew already, it would make the situation so much worse. Still, it’s worth an apology. (See Also: Hanlon's razor)
(Parasocial Relationship Part)
AI is not the only issue since TikTok also blurs the line when talking about the Narrator and Kevan Brighting in some unrelated cases. Some people forget that Brighting is a real guy and they think of him as like a fictional character.
I saw a TikTok post that wondered why Brighting was wearing women’s frames for his glasses in one image and half the comments were like ‘bully him’. First of all, I don’t care about what kind of glasses he’s wearing so the post already feels a bit weird to me but outside of that. If these are jokes and I hope these are jokes, they are jokes that you would make for a fictional character. Similar to “I wanna stick this fictional character in a blender”; but that’s obviously a joke because the character can’t actually get hurt. There’s no tangible effect if you shoved a fictional character in a blender. Except these are jokes about a real person; not a fictional character. There would be a tangible effect if someone were to actually bully Brighting for wearing women’s frames. Which is also stupid because even if he did wear mainly women’s frames, why does it matter? Is that really something that would make you feel less about a person? Hopefully not, because it really doesn't matter and I can't think of a way where it would. Also men can wear women’s frames as long as the frame size is right for his proportions, and most frames are labeled as ‘unisex’ so it matters even less. Imagining genuinely having the want to bully an older guy because he doesn't present himself in a completely masculine way, despite him wearing different frames in every other photo and not even wearing glasses in some. This is why I’m dead set on these being jokes because if they aren’t, as a gender-non-conforming person, I would be so mad. This is a weird thing to fixate on because glasses frames are unisex; so not even people who are weird about gender roles give a shit. Even my 70+ year old grandpa didn’t care when I was trying out new glasses. It really doesn’t fucking matter. Though on the plus side, the other half of the comments were like ‘Leave him alone. He just wants to and he can do what he wants”. Though there were a few people that called him ‘girly pop’ in Brighting’s defense, I'll get to that. It does show how easy it is for people on TikTok to think of reality similar to fiction; which makes some users say stupid shit about the real person.
Some people are also way too comfortable when talking about Brighting, thinking of him as a best friend or an ‘icon’. That one person who called Brighting “girly pop” is a good example of how comfortable people can get when talking about him, despite not even sharing the same air as him. Like I see people respond to his tweets with “bestie” and “I love you”. It could be just me but it takes years for me to be best friends with someone and to tell them “I love you” is even longer. So the words and phrases I associate with long-lasting friendships are being used for someone who hasn’t even talked to you. If that isn’t parasocial, I don’t know what is. In one case I particularly remember, I saw a TikTok of someone thinking about Brighting as like an adoptive father figure. Basically wanting Brighting to adopt them. Which…I'm not gonna completely disregard the entire idea. I understand the want for a respectable father figure in your life; hell, the relationship with my dad is nonexistent. I can see how people think of him in a parental way and in most other positive ways. However, I worry for the people who attach themselves to Brighting in this one-sided way if they aren't careful. Especially if they perceive him as such a personal figure, like a best friend or family member. Because when you perceive someone in this regard, you're going to feel the same emotions that you would with actual friends or family members. This goes for positive  emotions, and unfortunately, this also goes for negative emotions. And don’t even get me started on perceiving him romantically or… suggestively because those emotions are even stronger. I’ve even seen people on TikTok openly say they’re “simps” for Kevan Brighting; the real guy that can easily see your comment and understand what you’re talking about by looking it up.
The emotions towards the person are increased to such a strong and personal level, simply put. So when he disappoints you or does what you perceive as disappointing, it’s going to be more difficult to brush it off than if you thought of him as just a guy. As someone who had parasocial relationships like that at a young age, it’s very difficult to get over it and it’s even more difficult to recognize that you’re doing it. So the one thing I just need to say that you have to know is the famous person of your attachment  doesn't know you exist. Kevan Brighting is not your friend. That’s not his fault and that’s not your fault. He’s just not reasonably going to know every person that knows him, and he’s probably not gonna be on-board with every person’s perception of him. If I was in his position, I would not feel comfortable being regarded as a parental figure or a best friend by people that I don’t even know. But I’m saying this to myself as much as I’m saying this to other people because I make this mistake as well. I get too comfortable talking about people I know nothing about. I’m not innocent in this regard. I get too fixated over real life people sometimes. Despite me knowing about Brighting’s career in voicework and broadcasting, I really don’t know him personally. I don’t know his age, his height, his favorite fucking color and I certainly don’t know how he is as a person. I can make guesses but they are just guesses. Just because I have the opportunity to acknowledge him doesn’t mean he has the opportunity to acknowledge me, and that’s fine.
It’s fine to talk about how talented his voice acting is, or even how attractive/hot his voice is. Because he’s indeed talented and his voice does sound very attractive. But there’s gotta be a limit. I also understand thinking positively about him because he seems like a genuinely friendly and down-to-earth person. But notice how I said ‘seem’? That’s because, to reiterate, I don’t know him personally. He could be eating souls and I would be none the wiser (THAT IS A JOKE). Kevan Brighting is a real-life person with thoughts and feelings and his bounds should be respected. Don’t be like the people I just talked about. He’s talented as hell in voice acting, and that is enough for the community to talk about. It definitely was for me; like look at my “Narrator’s Voice” section again. Straight up 10 pages. Hell, I’m planning on writing something else about his other performances because his voice is just…too good. Yeah, that’s right! I’M NOT DONE!
(We Are Experiencing Some Technical Difficulties)
TL;DR: Don't be weird over real people

to all that “xavi out” plastic fans i hope youre happy. im sorry but our fanbase is genuinely the stupidest one ive seen, like okay.. xavi left, what now? do they not realize that even if we get a new coach its going to take at least a season for him to get used to barca and the players? these “xavi out” fans expect a new coach to just come along and miraculously flip us around, which realistically is impossible if our players continue with this mentality. and im sorry but every single one of our players deserves these losses (except for a few exceptions), because where tf is your passion! every time we lose a match some of them dont even care! (or at least thats what i think) i think a lot have forgotten what it means to play for barca, and if you cannot give your all to this club, you dont deserve to be here. last point, our fanbase is the problem, some of these fans are genuinely so toxic its sickening. blaming players like yamal, pedri, and even blaming xavi was wrong. if ur a true culer you should genuinely try reading the comments under our insta posts because theyre actually sickening. ive said this before and ill say it again, we shouldve stuck together and supported this team, yes their season has been shit but this fanbase has also contributed to that, and i hope they know that by hating, it wont do us any good. it shows how unloyal some people in this fanbase are, because if you cant support your team through dark times, then maybe you shouldnt deserve being there when theyre at their best.
the fanbase and the spanish media have always been fc barcelona’s worst enemy. simple as that. xavi even said that he and his family has suffered the last 2.5 years. it’s the worst job in the world.
i agree, culers need to be more supportive, but the vitriol from sectors of the fanbase is a disgrace and those who are disloyal don’t deserve to love this club.

you don’t have to post this if you don’t want because i know cc!phil neg gets people crucified in the qsmp fandom, but i think the reason so much of phil’s fanbase is so ableist towards tubbo in particular is because phil has a really bad tendency to be unknowingly ableist towards him. we know most of phil’s viewers don’t actually watch tubbo’s streams, and their only impression of him is through phil’s pov. so it almost makes sense (although ofc it’s not an excuse) that they’d view tubbo as nothing but an emotionally immature and socially inept idiot, because that’s the only way phil ever talks about him.
i’ve had moments while watching tubbo’s streams with phil where i’ve gotten really seriously upset because phil wouldn’t stop insulting tubbo for rambling about his interests, making fun of tubbo for having sensory issues (particularly when it comes to tubbo’s issues with food and texture), over explaining simple concepts he knows tubbo already understands and talking to him as if he were much younger than he actually is, or laughing at him for taking longer to read blocks of text.
it’s frustrating that cc! and q! phil crit is so largely frowned upon, because even if he never meant for anything to come off as ableist (which i’m sure he doesn’t), it still sets a precedent and allows people in his fandom and the wider qsmp fandom to enable this kind of treatment towards disabled and neurodivergent ccs.
I’ll post because I firmly believe that people should be able to criticize creators and their characters so long as it's genuine crit and not just hate. having open discussions about something (especially something that is a serious topic like this) is important in fandom spaces because otherwise, people will become perfect and untouchable even when they make mistakes.
I too have noticed those comments as well as some others that irked me greatly. I agree that he isn't trying to be ableist and probably doesn't know how he's coming off is genuinely hurtful, especially to Tubbo and other ND people. I think a major part of it comes from the whole mindset that Tubbo is a young and quirky kid instead of an ND adult. A lot of the comments that Phil has made felt based on the fact that he sees Tubbo as much younger than he is and has to "correct" him because he's "older and wiser". It could also come from a difference in humor and a generational gap as well as just overall ignorance.
I think some of this comes from how the fandom has treated both Phil and Tubbo in the past (and now) because the difference is staggering. This goes into how the Phil viewers see Tubbo because they never grew out of the "Phil is a wise old man" mindset like how they never grew out of the "Tubbo is a quirky little kid" mindset.
Overall, I think there's a cycle of how the fans treat creators and how creators take it to heart (Phil stans see him as old and wise so Phil starts to see himself as wise if that makes sense).

Netflix Daredevil star Charlie Cox reveals the real reason why he isn't on social media
Exclusive: 'I have a big feeling like if it is not broken, don’t fix it'
By Sandra Mallon   3 OCT 2022  (X)
Tumblr media
Kin star Charlie Cox reveals he isn’t on social media – because the superstar wouldn’t know what to say to his fans.
The Daredevil star – who returns to our screens as Michael Kinsella in the new season later this year - says that having an online presence for his millions of fans “is not really my bag”, admitting he’s a very private person.
Charlie told us: “I don't know what I would say to people I don’t know. I genuinely don’t. I’m not against it and obviously a lot of people tell me I should because it’s part of the industry, part of the world now. It’s not really my bag. I’m very private. Also, I have a big feeling like if it is not broken, don’t fix it and my life… I don’t get bothered.”
The UK star feels grateful to be working on Kin, saying “it feels like luck” that he came across the script as his TV wife producer Samantha Thomas was already working on the Rte One series.
“So much of it just feels like luck. I don’t know how… you know when you get sent a script, you’re getting sent one tiny clog in this huge mechanism and the other clogs haven’t even been developed yet.
“With filmmaking I always found that one element can completely sabotage it. I saw a cut of a movie I was in, it looked really promising and the sound design ruined it and it ended up not working so I’m very aware that we make decisions with a very limited amount of information so it was a huge amount of luck involved.
“So when something comes along that does work and there is a fanbase behind it and there is a thirst and a hunger for more of it, I think you just got to be really grateful for that. I’ve always stayed quite close to the theatre, I think that helps,” he added.
Charlie previously told us how he used to “dread” going on the Kin set because it would drain his emotions as an actor.
He told us in August: “When I read it (the script) I was so devastated by the loss of Jamie. I can tell you just from filming episodes two and three of last season. There was a period of time where I was like 'wow, I really kind of am dreading going to work'.
“I mean I loved the creative process, I was loving the storytelling and I believed in it so much. But sitting in those feelings… when you do a funeral scene and you’re doing a funeral all day, you’re sitting in that grief all day.
“You know there was a scene at the wake where Jamie is in the coffin and we filmed that scene all day and we are grieving all day, albeit it acting but you still have to draw it from somewhere.
“It lingers… It's a very uncomfortable emotion to be living in and so my feeling with this show and in particular what happens in the beginning is that if anything it shines a light on how devastating to a family and to a community that life can be.”
Charlie revealed how fortunate he feels that he no longer takes on roles for the money – but rather to fill his own creative needs as an actor.
“The last few years of my life I have been fortunate enough to be in a position where there has been work. Not all the time. There was a few years ago there was a period where I was waiting for the right thing and nothing would come along. It gets quite nerve-wracking after eight or nine months.
“I’ve never been someone who jumps into work just to work. I always wanted to curate a career as much as possible. It’s very difficult to do when you start because you have to take every job you get really.
“The last few years have been slightly different. And so, I’m not taking any jobs for the money. It’s all for creative reasons.
“Then there are other things you factor in, like keeping the family together is a big one now,” he added.

it’s genuinely so fucking gross to see people fucking celebrating the shit that came out about dream like??? hello that’s teenage girls that got exploited? why r you happy about it. there’s victims and it’s fucking gross to use them as an excuse to celebrate considering the very real harm that happened to them? don’t pretend you support them when all you talk about is how superior you were bc you knew dream was a creep like, if you had evidence you should have fucking shared it. ESPECIALLY considering his fanbase has made a concerted effort in concealing the true details of his worst actions and the constant made up shit about him doing bad shit he didn’t actually do despite him doing plenty of bad shit making it fucking IMPOSSIBLE for anyone not doing actual research to Actually Know what was real or fake claims, which has only JUST started to clear up.
and, like, a lot of it has this vibe that they feel like they’re Smarter than the victims bc they never trusted him, when the victims did. there’s a lot of barely concealed victim blaming and it’s so gross. like, it’s actually pretty weird to do a full on background check of every random gaming youtuber you come across and again it’s really fucking difficult with dream bc there’s so much misinfo out there that his actual fucked up shit got buried under complete non issues- often intentionally by his fans or himself because he’s a manipulative piece of shit! and people being manipulated aren’t stupid or bad people for being victims but there’s always this underlying air of smug superiority and it’s sickening. you’re not better than people who just wanted to watch minecraft videos and believed his lies about trying to become a better person and who got exploited as a result.
and this isn’t to say dream stans arent fucking gross either. they accused one of the women (actually a woman in this case thank the fucking lord though it’s still creepy and exploitative) who was a fan of his he exploited for nudes of sexually harassing him for sending unsolicited nudes when they were solicited, or making fun of her for being “upset she was ghosted” which like… one, she wasn’t, and two, someone with a massive platform talking up their fans until they get sexual content of them and then dipping is actually really weird and not equivalent to like a rando you meet on a dating app ghosting you. this isn’t to defend dream- he’s a racist creep who’s not only flirted with minors and potentially groomed them (he Absolutely exploited them, but grooming is slightly more specific- but if all the claims are true (and the other claims seemingly being proven make it Not look good) he absolutely did) manipulated them into trusting him and thinking he was safe through playing the role of an accepting, loving pillar of the community.
but acting all holier than thou because you thought someone was cringe and taking it out on teenage fans, including potential victims, who most likely didn’t know about the weird shit that dream had done in the past or had such biased sources for it that they didn’t realise how bad it was, is just cruel. you’re not helping anyone by doing that. celebrating the very real suffering of these girls, who loved and trusted dream and had that taken advantage of, is vile. you should not feel validated that they were hurt- you should be horrified and sympathetic. the victims are human beings, not gotchas. and acting so vile only gives the fucking creeps defending dream more ammo, and who do you think sixteen year olds are gonna trust? someone telling them to kill themselves because they like a youtuber or the youtuber they take comfort in and don’t have the life experience to not trust yet? it’s so performative and pushed people deeper into spaces that, and i cannot stress this enough, centre around a very real threat to minors who’s still actively dming and snapchatting with his underaged fans to this day. don’t be the one to drive them deeper into that dangerous nest.

what do you think about tommy&dream situation as of right now? do you think tommy publicly cut ties with his "if youtubers were honest" video or intended to poke fun at dream and found out in his usual tommy-style? on the topic of the video, i partially view this skit as him being fed up and saying "fuck you" to twt users that try to control him and his humor. i leaned into this after he made an effort to emphasize how schlatt is his hero on the stream after
I want to walk back the post I did a little bit ago about how him saying that Florida was ‘too far’ was more likely a joke than an excuse because I think something changed around then. Don’t know what, but the friction between the time when he was excited to go to the Dream team house and pulling back really does look like a turning point in retrospect.
Tommy has become openly disdainful of Dream in public, which technically isn’t a change since he’s always picked a fight with Dream on some level, but now it’s entirely hostile. I don’t know if other people are getting this vibe, but to me Tommy seems to be coming off a lot more angry in general lately, in a way that’s a bit of a callback to when he was younger but with less Youth behind it.
Tommy has historically had a warped sense of what he is allowed to do to other people vs what other people are allowed to do to him, so I really don’t know what he expected when he put the video out cause-and-effect wise. I think that thinking of himself as being in the right really changes his view of what ‘should’ happen in situations, but his expectations are hard to read with the skit video.
Tommy did a couple streams recently and I’ve had to pick and choose what I wanted to watch since I run low on time, but I caught the product testing stream since it was short. At one point he talked about why he wanted to try reviewing products, and that he thinks he was too afraid to say what he really thought before. Now he says his attitude has changed, and he said something along the lines of: I don’t have anything much to lose anymore, and more to gain. This was mainly about giving Youtuber brands ‘honest’ reviews (calling Prime trash, valid) but something tells me that he’s taking that attitude to other areas as well.
Tommy seems close to acting out lately. I’ve mentioned a few times before that I’ll often mentally compare him to other people with his habits who went on to be critics / reviewers / pundits, but right now his impulses are really un-refined and mostly based on being grumpy and testing things to their breaking point. If he really is in a “I’ll break it to feel more in control” headspace, I’m genuinely concerned with what he’s going to convince himself is a good idea moving forward, because even though he values having nerve he is just not good at criticism yet. He’s gonna say/do some dumb shit in public and get bodied. God he should have gone to uni-- anyway, sorry.
I think he’s going through a phase of being twitter-aware. There’s a subsection of stans that are egging on his public reactions and he seems more receptive to them right now. Some of the switch-up came after his tour where he seemed to come back from with more of an appreciation for his fans, but keeping up with the Big Name Fans is a whole different can of worms since that’s more of a power game/echo chamber than the general fanbase at large. Then again, the youtube comment section can be it’s own thing since they’re more likely to just want a spectacle. He seems sensitive to people leaving or disengaging with him so I wonder if a part of it comes from not wanting to give up the fans (or friends!) he has left by coming down on dream, since the last time he fucked up on stream involved a snapchat joke.
There’s big holes in this story around what Dream and Tommy’s direct communication has looked like in the past year. That feels like the most important bit that we’ll probably never get to see, so it’s all half-informed stabs in the dark from me.

this is long sorry 😅
saw you guys talking about fanservice and i have some opinions about it. for starters i do think they were told to up it since members who didn’t really used to partake in it are doing so now. why i have no idea (i actually have a theory about it being because they’re all technically legal now, however that’s another convo) but it’s definitely more than it used to be. that being said i feel like it’s a thing with enha too. they have never been the type to tell us no, unfortunately, so if they think that the y/n type fanservice is what people want then they’re gonna continue doing it. and it is what people want sadly. since their debut they’re priority has been making fans happy even if it’s not what they themselves particularly want. it’s an issue i have with them actually because they need to start saying no and setting boundaries 😭 they are kind and people use that kindness to get whatever they want.
next is that their fanservice still isn’t that bad. it’s more than it used to be most definitely, but in comparison to some other bg’s? they are still relatively tame. it’s the fanbase that makes everything so extreme. like i have absolutely no issue with fanservice, but i cannot stand the reaction to it. not only does it generally make things seem more intense than they actually are, but sometimes it makes the guys look bad? like ik that people write him this way a lot on here (lowkey have a bone to pick with some authors and how they only portray him this way as if he has no actual personality traits), but the fact that people have genuinely called heeseung a fuckboy, cheater, playboy, and toxic as if they know anything about his personal relations? the way that’s he’s discussed you would never guess that off stage he a hopeless romantic loser (affectionate) 😭. and even outside the members that people have a tendency to say whatever they want about (heejake) it’s gotten bad. hoon for example has done a little more fanservice then he used to, but that doesn’t mean logical thinking should be going out the window. we all know that weverse translations are not accurate so why were there multiple hit tweets of him allegedly saying he wants to sleep with a fan, when in reality he was talking about a damn phone lockscreen? and nobody bothered to correct themselves? 😭
i partially blame how bad things have gotten on how young a lot of the fandom is and how they don’t know how to find a balance with things. because imagine my surprise seeing people call enha the most fanservicey group they’ve ever seen lol. y’all ever heard of vixx?
you guys also mentioned send off and dear lord. i think that was the true y/n takeover of the fandom. once people realized that enha genuinely like their fans and find interest in hearing about their lives ex. them asking us to post about our days on wv, watching engene vlogs, etc. they absolutely ran with it. i have been on entwt since enha debuted and never in my years have i seen so many people obsessed with the prospect of enha perceiving them? my entire tl got taken over by people making the same repetitive jokes about the boys being cheaters and selfies. like what do you mean we have celebrated 4 birthdays with jungwon and have never had an issue with canceling the selca day until this year and it was “oh but it’d be a cute surprise!” like you know what would be even cuter? him seeing cute sweet birthday messages under his tags and not your faces 🤗
anyways my main point is that while fanservice has increased it’s not the boys’ fault that things have gone to shit lol
i have noticed that sunghoon's been doing a lot more fanservice than before !! i remember i'd always say it's such a good day to be a jayhoon stan bc they never do fanservice 😭😭 but now hoon's playing up the parasocial relationship hard 😡 i do think it's honestly just belift seeing how their fanbase is like and trying to cater towards them more. since fanservice and the y/n treatment works then that's what they're gonna keep doing to retain their growth. but yeah i totally agree that i hope they can set more boundaries :// some of the fancalls feel so uncomfortable to watch because i feel like they're being held against their will 😭
that's also true!! i think engenes have a history for exaggerating things and making things more extreme than they need to be 🤧 like that fansign where people asked them if they're okay with their gf going to the movies with other guys or texting other guys LOL they definitely knew what was up and knew we'd like to hear some jealousy so they catered to that !! omg yeah i've heard some atrocious things they've been called and it makes me feel a little uncomfortable bc if that was being said about a random stranger,, i wouldn't like that person at all!! or i'd think they had incel mentality 😭 the fact that those get pushed on enha def feels weird but in terms of fanfiction i do think people are just writing them based on a trope, so i give authors the benefit of the doubt that they don't actually think that way !! but yeah the tweets that make them out to be sleazy....... like we don't know these men at all so these are very weird assumptions to make about people
the fate tour was definitely the rise of the y/n stans 😭😭 like EVERYTHING became about interactions and everything became a selfie trend (which i don't mind as long as it's harmless but having ensd on jungwon day???) but yeah idk if people realize it but the focus is slowly shifting from stanning enha as a group for their music and artistry to stanning them because they're boyfriend material and give their fans the y/n treatment 😔

Top Gun Maverick is for the girlies
I saw a guy on TikTok post that we should notice how “all the body positivity, female gaze, only likes skinny guys” types of girls have mysteriously gone missing since Top Gun came out. And the RESPONSE was insane! people in the comments agreeing with him, saying women are liars at their core (... oh my god) etc etc
I just thought that was a really weird sentiment because my immediate reaction was... top gun TOTALLY DOES fall into the female gaze! at least for me it does.
now, i know its one of the most ‘alpha male’ films in a franchise thats widely known for its fanbase of dads but hear me out! this film showed the new pilots in a totally different light than the first one!
not only were the pilots all sporting the himbo gene in some way (a sure fire female gaze thing). even though the characters are all highly intelligent, we can all agree himbos come in different forms.
even with the hangman/ rooster scenes i totally saw that masculine energy that never veered into toxic territory which i was especially excited to see. maverick, the main hero of the story is genuinely one of the most impulsive headstrong characters that has a strong sense of goodness and that to me makes a wonderful himbo. I love the scene between him and rooster just after he’s been rescued (”you told me not to think!”) because it shows that these characters are just all heart and i LOVE that. i havent seen a mainstream, action movie this devoid of cynicism in a long time and it made me so fucking happy. I think thats the reason why people subconsciously like it so much and why I predict the rewatch value of the film will be immense.
They also happened to exist in a reality where they all drank ‘respect women juice’ where Penny and Phoenix were given the same  treating Phoenix just like one of them and not showing the struggles that women actually go through in the military was a genuine piece of escapist realism and even though they might delve into that in the future, I’m glad they didn’t mention it here as a half baked plot point.
even with the beach scene which outwardly displays everyone’s bodies, i saw the underlying theme of teamwork and camaraderie. Of course I would be lying if i said their physique wasn’t the best part of the sequence but thats a staple of the franchise and it makes sense for them to include the montage.
i think its interesting that in the original, Goose had his shirt on in the volleyball scene and so did Bob in this instalment. I feel like in both instances the characters had an archetype of not being the ‘alpha’ type so to speak but I think that was honestly a misstep as both characters ended up being major fan favourites among men and women alike, some of which see them as the biggest crush-worthy characters of their movies. then again, having their shirts on doesn’t make them any less desirable and if the actors did that to prioritise their own comfort levels then i can completely respect and admire that.
all in all, i just wanted to ramble a bit about this as it turns out i have a lot of thoughts i wanted to let out. i don’t think it’s fair to shame women for liking what was presented in the movie and framing us as hypocrites when all of our likes are completely valid. who wouldn’t wanna see a well developed action movie with beautiful movie stars? doesn’t make us villains imo.
ok i’m done with my rant now!

As a Jewish person this whole thing has been horrible it way some dream fans ignored the anti semantics tweet from Kanye (which zach was mad about) to defended dream. I get being body shamed isn’t nice but login on to a website and seeing a creator like dream replying to a person like that is horrible doesn’t matter if it was a joke I don’t care.
Seeing the people then say it’s not that deep and what he had was worse like they clearly never had to worry about their life’s being threatened. I understand defending dream but in this case I can’t be bothered if the fan base will try and compare body shaming to someone threatening the life’s of Jewish people which zach rightfully mad about.
anon with all due respect, i think there's a couple of things you're choosing to ignore here. i'm assuming the other ask is also from you so i'm just going to respond to this one.
"I get being body shamed isn’t nice" i don't know how to tell you this but dream had someone make a threat against his LIFE severe enough that the fbi got involved. now not only is he less safe with his face being public knowledge, but he also had to deal with some of the worst cyberbullying i think i have ever seen in my life.
you get that body shaming isn't nice? you're right, it's not. but what dream experienced - and continues experiencing daily - is not body shaming. it's intense harassment from millions of people over the world, and most of it has nothing to do with his looks. and ANYONE who encourages that, as a joke or not, is part of the problem. regardless if you are hurt, regardless if you are upset - that does not give anyone the right to encourage someone else's suffering.
this isn't just about dream. this is about everyone. this is about the insanely fucked up and desensitised society that we live in, where people don't give a second thought to telling someone they are hideous, to telling them that they should die or hurt themselves, to posting their leaked private info, even while fully knowing any of those things can affect a person's life permanently. the internet is a place where people like to forget we're all fucking human.
i'm so sorry you're having to see the awful shit that has been said by disgusting people like kanye west. i am so sorry that even after all these years, you're still having to see people engaging in anti-semitism. i'm so sorry that you're hurting, i promise you i do not at all believe you're in any wrong to be upset. but PLEASE take a second to think about who genuinely deserves your anger. because is it dream, who made a mocking tweet to kanye west (in poor taste but he's human who makes as many mistakes as you and i do) who later made sure to clarify he does not support him? or is it kanye west? the people who publicly listen to, and stream his music, giving him the money and the platform that he has, while knowing the horrific things he has said? because you might even have friends who have his music on spotify or your local radio station might play his music when it releases.
i'm not saying you should not be upset at dream, because you are well within your right to be upset with him, be upset with the fanbase, be upset with the world for being what it is today. but please do not try to excuse the encouragement of abuse and harassment someone has experienced because you are hurting too. that's not going to help anyone, that's not going to change anything - but it will serve to continue making things worse.

Harry should really grow some balls and tell all his fans to SHUT THE FUCK UP about his relationships. It’s absolutely abnormal how every single girl linked to him, has to go though this. Nasty comments, harassment, insults, racism, threats etc.
I also feel like this shows me that Harry not only as a bad boyfriend, but genuine he doesn’t really give a fuck about these girls that he’s dating because if he did this shit wouldn’t fly. He’s never going to tell his fanbase to fuck off because they’re obsession and strange parasocial relationship that they have with him line his pockets. Him telling his fan base to fuck off will make them not want to consume his music. And he would rather let his girlfriends get abused by his Fanbase then say anything because they line his pockets. I also feel like hairy. Some times knows that the relationship just isn’t going to work. He was so happy to let Olivia basically ruin her entire life so that they could be “together“ and then left her without any care in the world. And a lot of the times I don’t see him thinking that the relationships are as serious as they are so he just does whatever. And I feel like a lot of people need to understand that, his relationship with Taylor is more for a press than it is for pleasure. They might just be having a fling and they’re using it to promote himself into remote her play. This isn’t something that’s going to be long-term at all so there’s no point in defending a girl that he doesn’t see a future with. Especially getting out of a two year relationship with Olivia less than a year ago I don’t see him wanting anything serious anytime soon . Taylor is there and is willing so he’s partaking in it. But the second she has to go. He’s onto the next. there’s no way he’s going to Korea with her while she films and movie. He’s not going to be the girlfriend in the situation where he’s following her everywhere. He’s not going to do that. And if he goes to LA it’s because he wants to be there and it’s convenient to continue the relationship just like when Olivia wasnt London it’s not because he wanted to be with her it’s because it was convenient and she was there. It’s the reason why his relationship with Olivia worked for as long as it did. She did everything he wanted. She did everything to make a relationship work, and he put no effort while she put it all the effort, and when things got messy and she was bad for business, he dropped her.

I’m so confused by Ferrari’s approach to not use team orders. It’s already half way through the season and Charles is -38 points to Max whereas Carlos is -75. Points can swing drastically pretty quickly so Carlos could definitely close the gap to Max but at this point in the season, I don’t know why they haven’t just made a decision. Mattia said that they’ll prioritize the faster car and in every race this season (minus Canada) Charles has been faster. Is that maybe an indirect way of him saying that they are going to prioritize Charles without angering Sainz fans/sponsors/etc.? I’d like to believe that sponsors wouldn’t have that much of an influence but idk. It seems like Ferrari wants to maximize the WCC instead of the WDC but they can still do that by imposing team orders. And even non-Ferrari fans think this approach is ridiculous, it’s not like it’s just Charles fans.
Hey!
Yeah, this whole situation has been nonsensical tbh. To the point where, indeed, people are starting to give more weight to the sponsor theory because what other reason would they possibly have for doing this? Like you said, Charles has been consistently faster on merit throughout the entire season so far, so if there was ever a time to prioritise "the faster car"/"car in front" it would've been Monaco, Silverstone, etc. It's not even a case of them being evenly matched/Carlos occasionally being quicker so they're in a tough spot on who to prioritise. Charles put himself in a position where he was the title contender pretty much from race 1. Red Bull knows that, Mercedes knows that - why are Ferrari so willfully ignorant, then, sleeping on the fact that their best shot at the WDC in years is right in front of them?
I don't usually subscribe to these kinds of theories, but at this point I'm willing to admit I may have underestimated the Spanish media/sponsors and the pressure of expectations coming from that side. After Austria some Spanish media genuinely put out an article strongly suggesting Ferrari sabotaged Carlos for Charles's sake. I mean, if that's a glimpse into their attitude, then... 😵‍💫
Granted, internal team politics have always played a role at Ferrari, but this is one of the most baffling cases of internal politics I've ever witnessed, I think. They're going against all logic and data, they're pissing off their fanbase and a large portion of Italian media, and they're doing everything they can to throw away their chances of challenging for the WDC with Charles.
There's just a lot of hypocrisy in their current stance, and I think that - together with just the awful, willful waste of opportunities - is what really rankles. They had no problem using team orders even in 2019, with Seb and Charles, in races where they weren't fighting for victories and in a season where they weren't title contenders. But suddenly they care about optics and "being fair" in a season where only one of their drivers is realistically in contention for the WDC? 🤔
I don't know why the quote from Binotto is only making the rounds now (maybe the British press picked up on it idk) because it originally came from the TP press conference in Austria, so it's been floating around for like two weeks. They didn't make any strategic fuck ups in Austria, thankfully, and with the PU fire Carlos will likely be taking an engine penalty in France so team orders won't be as relevant, but we'll see how things pan out come Hungary next week. I want to believe that they'll focus on Charles and prioritise him as they should now that Carlos has that first win under his belt, but I also don't want to be naive, because their PR statements have been eye-wateringly tone deaf so far, doubling down and defending their decisions when absolutely everyone, expert or fan, can plainly see they made mistakes. They clearly care more about the WCC than the WDC, but even so, like you said, their current trajectory is making their own two drivers take points away from each other. Binotto says their main opponents should be other drivers, like Checo and Max and Lewis, yet all Carlos seems to be interested in is this internal battle with Charles. He wants Mercedes to get in the mix and take points off RB even though they're realistically more of a threat to Ferrari than RB.
The lack of backbone and authority, the unwillingness to take responsibility and be held accountable...it's worrying. I really don't believe Binotto is as clever as he thinks he's being with these statements. 🥴

A few things, one do you personally believe Evan has like a fake account and is checking up to see what he fanbase is up to online?
I swear to god I can’t help but worry I’ve interacted with him once without even knowing it and made a complete fool of myself Ajdjjfjfjf
Two, so you think he’s ever been on/knows what Omegle is? (I may or may not pop on there every now and then in his tags to try and find him. Say hi, thank him for existing and dip haha 😅)
Three, do you think Evan genuinely is okay with fans approaching him (when appropriate of course) or think he would approach them by chance??
Like for me I’d prefer him to approach me if I’m wearing any AHS merchandise. Because I don’t wanna bother the man and have him get bombarded by fans, I’d honestly be happy just getting a few words ‘conversation’ in. Maybe an autograph and quick hug if he’s down, probably not a pic together though. As much as I’d love one with him the man deserves to be treated like a human being when he’s not working yknow? (Not saying I wouldn’t love a pic and not hating on fans that do ask for one and whatnot. I just would want to be respectful and not make him feel uncomfy. While he’ll never remember me (maybe he will who knows) I’ll remember him and I don’t want to be remembered as ‘the one fan who was weirdly too polite or some shit) I dunno I’m weird not to mention the very unrealistic and cruel scenarios my head creates. He deserves the world and anyone who meets him should feel incredibly lucky (I’m not putting him on a pedestal, but he’s so genuine and kind. I only want him to get that same energy back is all.)
He has no idea but he’s part of the reason why I’m still here (I know that sounds silly) Mentally I’ve been through a lot still going through a lot. So I’ll hop on YouTube and watch his interviews or watch AHS or clips of him as his characters. Stuff like that it’s bittersweet sometimes but it helps me feel close to him and gives me hope I’ll meet him so I can HOPEFULLY thank him in person. 🥹❤️‍🩹
first off, anon i'm glad you're still here <3
i think evan could possibly give into the very human curiosity of seeing what people say online - maybe not frequently but once in a while. it's hard to say. maybe he's been burnt and decided it's better to avoid at all costs. i do doubt that evan is on omegle these days but back in the day it used to be something we pretty much all did lol
i think in the right circumstance, evan is probably fine with a respectful fan interacting with him. i think most people would be so long as the interaction is appropriate. i always think the most important thing is to recognize time and place and also reading body language. celebrities are humans, too. they may have bad days, may be in a rush, may be with other people who could be made uncomfortable.. so you just have to read the situation and discern if this is a good time to come over and say hi. i think it would be great if he got back to doing conventions so fans would have an opportunity to tell evan how much we love him!

I know Daniel has said he’s committed to McLaren… but I feel like people don’t realise that Daniel isn’t stupid. He’s not gonna sit back and do nothing as Zak is clearly looking for a replacement. He is rumoured to have called alpine after Fernando left so, as much as he said he’s committed, I think he knows Zak is going to try and get rid of him somehow. I’d honestly be happy with him anywhere but McLaren at this point as all they’ve done is support lando even when he messes up (I like lando but he has made mistakes this year too as no one is perfect) but literally making no comment as Daniel is constantly questioned on his future and getting abuse online
I absolutely agree. I've been on and off the fence with McLaren since the start of the year but the environment Zak has cultivated especially in regards to Daniel, I think he'd be better off with another team and if the rumours of him contacting otmar are true, he feels the same. I have questioned some of Daniel's moves in the past (primarily the move to Renault after having a disastrous Renault engine while at red bull, in all seriousness how he and Max even finished races with that ticking time bomb of an engine let alone got podiums and wins with it, I'll never know but it all worked out because he was happy there) but he is definitely smarter than people give him credit for and he's smart enough to be asking for people's advice, I wouldn't be surprised if he's already spoken to Christian about his perspective. I genuinely think Daniel will make the best decision for himself whether that's with McLaren or another team remains to be seen.
McLaren as a whole has to sort out their issues. Their strategy is getting a pass because Ferrari's is *explosions* but theirs is still questionable too. Their car for next year has to at the very least be a small improvement on this year's one. They have to start supporting and protecting both of their drivers. I like Lando too but he has a privilege Daniel so far doesn't; Zak keeps his name out of his mouth unless it's positive. Which is how it should be. You save your feedback and criticism for behind closed doors, you don't fund the trolls online with free ammunition. Now that isn't on Lando, the blame is far from Landos shoulders (he gets his share of abuse sadly and unfortunately majority of the drivers do), that blame is firmly on Zak's shoulders, he's the one treating them differently and dividing their fanbases and fuelling the trolls rather than supporting both of his drivers.
