Another song fic, this time for Fem!Harringrove, the song is More Than a Friend by Girli (It's phenomenal go listen)
“I met her when I was still with my ex” Stevie dating quarterback Eric H., the two of them sitting in his car on the school parking lot when new-girl Billie Hargrove steps out of her camaro in insanely high heels.
“Her lipstick was blood red, she wore her hair messed up” A mess of angelic, golden curls, lips blood red grinning, eyes crystal clear as they stare directly at poor, innocent Stevie.
“She was my best friend when I had a boyfriend” They hit it off immediately somehow. They come from vastly different worlds, yet there’s something about Billie that just attracts Stevie like a magnet to metal, even her boyfriend is questioning it.
“But she was on my mind when I was in his bed” In the dark, under covers, every thrust of fingers, every lick with tongue, every single touch, Stevie thought of Billie’s manicured hands, her plump lips and playful tongue, those eyes.
“So we kept in touch ‘cause I wanted to touch her” At every possible opportunity, Stevie would touch Billie. Hugs whenever they said hello and goodbye, moving a lock of hair that had fallen out of place, correcting her lipstick when it occasionally got smudged, bumping together during PE.
“I got kinda drunk and told her that I liked her” At one of the numerous parties they attend together, more than Stevie was used to, because she used to be a good girl who kept her wits about her, and therefore was a bit of a lightweight. She told Billie that she really really liked her, like a lot lot.
“She said ‘You’re the best’, this girl has got me all messed up” It stung like a fucking bee, to not hear those words reciprocated, and it messes Stevie up a lot more than what she dares show.
“When she bites her lip, looks at me like that, I wanna be more than a friend” Sticking out her long tongue and biting her lips in such an appetizing manner are all absolute character traits that Stevie can only possibly relate to Billie, and the way it makes her feel is like soft lightning shooting through her every time, butterflies dancing to the panicky rhythm of her heart beat. There’s nothing she wants more dearly than to stop being friends like this and become something more.
“Does she feel the same? Does she want me back?” The way Billie touches her, the way that she talks, all those compliments, the way that she stares, it has to mean something, right? Something more.
“So fucking confusing, the way that she texts me, keeps saying ‘I love you’, wish she really meant it” Stevie buys her her favorite candy and it’s a “I love you!”, takes her to see her favorite movie and it’s another “I love you!”, buys her expensive presents for birthdays and holidays and it’s more “I love you!” but Stevie can’t tell just how much Billie means those words.
“Sometimes she comes over, we call it a girls night” It doesn’t happen often, sadly, since Stevie is always with Eric at night, or her parents are home claiming that that Billie is a bad influence, but when Billie comes over it’s a proper girls night with loud music, magazines, boy talk, make-up and Billie trying on all of Stevie’s clothes.
“When she takes her clothes off, I know that she’s my type” Stevie would only describe the color of Billie’s underwear as lustful red, and she feels it heat up her entire being at the sight of it. It’s different from the locker room, there’s nothing sexy about that to her, but here? So close to her bed? A fire ignites between her soft thighs.
“My hands ‘round her body” Finally she just can’t take it anymore, as Billie stands in only her underwear, combing through Stevie’s walk-in closet. From behind she wraps her arms around her body and she’s as warm as the sun that has kissed her skin.
“Her perfume left on me” She doesn’t smell as sweet as Stevie does, fruits and flowers, but strong and dominant in a way that makes Stevie’s legs tremble as she takes a long inhale.
“On top of the dresser, I wanna undress her” “Took you long enough sweet stuff,” Billie admits and with eager determination grabs on to Stevie’s shapely ass, a handful of moans comes with it. She guides her legs around her waist, and with rather unexpected strength, carries Stevie to the nearby dresser, plops her down on top of it, and leaves lipstick stains all over her pale, creamy skin.

Stuff that happened in umbrella academy s3 explained by a person who didn't watch umbrella academy:
So this dude called Victor came out and Five and Allison just were like: ok, but we still hate you
And those other dudes were like Did someone say coming out party?
And also there is that old guy and he had cookies
Some guy is called Lucifer or whatever and my mutual warmed up to him
Girl called Lila is stealing someones mum
Dance battles???????
Bro called 5 hallucinated weird stuff
People died, Sissy didn't
Apparently Klaus is a dumbass beacause someone said he would've died at the age of 3 if he wasn't immortal
And Klaus AND Lucifer have been kidnapped and noone noticed.

please consider how you engage with aaron bushnell's death. you may react to it as you will, but it's crucial to remember that his death was specifically a call to action. it was not meant solely to shock but to draw attention to a vast moral hypocrisy: that to many, a soldier dying in a campaign backed by the U.S. government is noble, even if the soldier kills innocents to do so, even if the cause is morally bankrupt--but this? this is insanity. a man taking his own life, on his own terms, in an attempt to help others while hurting nobody else, is somehow less rational and more horrifying than the mass killing of civilians.
of course aaron's death was horrific. but as he said beforehand, it is realistically no more horrific than what's happening in gaza. if we can't stomach this, then why can we stomach children being bombed? thousands being starved? for all that self immolation is, it brings death in a matter of minutes. it is a fraction of the amount of pain, fear, and grief that people in gaza are experiencing. it's just that we are able to quantify it. and this tiny, quantifiable sliver of horror is still so unbelievably awful. how can anyone bear to think about anything else when this horror is happening a millionfold in palestine? this is the question aaron bushnell was asking. and he wanted you to face it, head-on, watching him burn to death.
I've been seeing people make fanart. minimalist graphics to sell on t-shirts. to commodify his death, to mythologize it not a day afterwards, is not only in poor taste but a hindrance to his message. the answer is not commodification, nor is it defeatism, nor is it rejoicing in his death. if you want to honor aaron's legacy, take action. channel your horror and your outrage into making a material change. this wasn't about him. this was about palestine. remember that it was always about palestine.

the thing is there's like, a point of oversaturation for everything, and it's why so many things get dropped after a few minutes. and we act like millennials or gen z kids "have short attention spans" but... that's not quite it. it's more like - we did like it. you just ruined it.
capitalism sees product A having moderate success, and then everything has to come out with their "own version" of product A (which is often exactly the same). and they dump extreme amounts of money and environmental waste into each horrible simulacrum they trot out each season.
now it's not just tiktokkers making videos; it's that instagram and even fucking tumblr both think you want live feeds and video-first programming. and it helps them, because videos are easier to sneak native ads into. the books coming out all have to have 78 buzzwords in them for SEO, or otherwise they don't get published. they are making a live-action remake of moana. i haven't googled it, but there's probably another marvel or starwars something coming out, no matter when you're reading this post.
and we are like "hi, this clone of project A completely misses the point of the original. it is soulless and colorless and miserable." and the company nods and says "yes totally. here is a different clone, but special." and we look at clone 2 and we say "nope, this one is still flat and bad, y'all" and they're like "no, totally, we hear you," and then they make another clone but this time it's, like, a joyless prequel. and by the time they've successfully rolled out "clone 89", the market is incredibly oversaturated, and the consumer is blamed because the company isn't turning a profit.
and like - take even something digital like the tumblr "live streaming" function i just mentioned. that has to take up server space and some amount of carbon footprint; just so this brokenass blue hellsite can roll out a feature that literally none of its userbase actually wants. the thing that's the kicker here: even something that doesn't have a physical production plant still impacts the environment.
and it all just feels like it's rolling out of control because like, you watch companies pour hundreds of thousands of dollars into a remake of a remake of something nobody wants anymore and you're like, not able to afford eggs anymore. and you tell the company that really what you want is a good story about survival and they say "okay so you mean a YA white protagonist has some kind of 'spicy' love triangle" and you're like - hey man i think you're misunderstanding the point of storytelling but they've already printed 76 versions of "city of blood and magic" and "queen of diamond rule" and spent literally millions of dollars on the movie "Candy Crush Killer: Coming to Eat You".
it's like being stuck in a room with a clown that keeps telling the same joke over and over but it's worse every time. and that would be fine but he keeps fucking charging you 6.99. and you keep being like "no, i know it made me laugh the first time, but that's because it was different and new" and the clown is just aggressively sitting there saying "well! plenty of people like my jokes! the reason you're bored of this is because maybe there's something wrong with you!"
#this was much longer i had to cut it down for legibility#but i do want to say i am aware this post doesnt touch on human rights violations as a result of fast fashion#that is because it deserves its own post with a completely different tone#i am an environmental educator#so that's what i know the most about. it wouldn't be appropriate of me to mention off-hand the real and legitimate suffering#that people are going through#without doing my research and providing real ways to help#this is a vent post about a thing i'm watching happen; not a call to action. it would be INCREDIBLY demeaning#to all those affected by the fast fashion industry to pretend that a post like this could speak to their suffering#unfortunately one of the horrible things about latestage capitalism as an activist is that SO many things are linked to this#and i WANT to talk about all of them but it would be a book in its own right. in fact there ARE books about each level of this#and i encourage you to seek them out and read them!!! i am not an expert on that i am just a person on tumblr doing my favorite activity#(complaining)#and it's like - this is the individual versus the industry problem again right because im blaming myself#for being an expert on environmental disaster (which is fucking important) but not knowing EVERYTHING about fast fashion#i'm blaming myself for not covering the many layers of this incredibly complicated problem im pointing out#rather than being like. yeah so actually the fault here lies with the billion dollar industries actually.#my failure to be able to condense an incredibly immense problem that is BOOK-LENGTH into a single text post that i post for free#is not in ANY fucking way the same amount of harm as. you know. the ACTUAL COMPANIES doing this ACTUAL THING for ACTUAL MONEY.#anyway im gonna go donate money while i'm thinking about it. maybe you can too. we can both just agree - well i fuckin tried didn't i#which is more than their CEOs can say

I truly, TRULY do not know how to say this, because the fact that I have to say it makes me feel like I am losing my grip on reality. But no, in the post-capitalistic anarchist utopia, I will not be relying on “autistic minecraft girlies” to be building inspectors because - and this may shock you - one of those occupations takes years of education in how to read and interpret hundreds of thousands of lines of regulations based on complicated math and physics that were the result of decades of tragedy and death, and the other one involves playing a children’s video game.
