I’m sort of speedrunning archon quests to catch up with where everyone else is in Genshin! Yesterday I finished the Perilous Trail Act II, and today I jumped into the Sumeru archon quest and did the first chapter of that. The storytelling is pretty good. I like Alhaitham as a character but I think The Akedemia seems sus…also Collei is so sweet!

Anyway in addition to that, after learning of the new banner, I am saving for Diluc. I’m converting all primos into intertwined fates and getting intertwined fates from archon quests and other stuff like leveling up the tree in Dragonspine. I have an active Welkin and between archon quests, events, exploring, and battle pass, I hope to have a sizable amount by the time that banner drops. It sounds like the banner will be there for the whole patch so 40-ish days. I’m crossing my fingers at getting an early 5 star and/or winning! If it doesn’t work out there’s still always 50/50s and standard banner and whenever the Mondstandt version of this banner returns again. I feel like the limited characters might vary depending on who hasn’t had reruns recently but the standard ones from that region will always be there, at least I hope! I’m so glad Hoyo listened to us.

I just got both Kaeya and Dehya to level 80 and ascended them and will be working on getting the mats for their last ascension. Kaeya isn’t too bad, but Dehya is kinda annoying. I got my final Ayaka ascension yesterday as well.

My Xinagling, Traveller, and Beidou are good, I could level talents a bit more and I really just need to level up artifacts. I have a level 60 skyward pride on Beidou that I plan to level and I need to level my weapons on Jean, Ayaka, Kaeya, etc. as well. I only have Dehya on a 3 star weapon right now but we’ll see how much I use her. I want to ascend Sucrose also and farm Viradescent for her and Jean and maybe get a couple better pieces for my wanderer too. I wanna prioritize going after Wanderer and Ayaka’s talents since they are going to be my main DPS characters at the moment. After those characters I have at 70 or 80 all have their final ascensions and I’m working on talents/artifacts/weapon level ups, etc, I’ll start working to getting my Bennett and Gaming leveled, then my Mona and Xingqui. I wanna focus on vape/melt teams rn and I’d like to use Bennett as an excuse to stop using Qiqi who is only there to keep me alive and not built for damage. Probably after I get those characters built I’ll work on Kuki/Fischl/Yaoyao and consider making a hyperblook team since I’ve got a pretty good Dendro Traveller. If I get a Keqing I’ll build her too.

So while I’m saving for Diluc I’m only gonna pull on standard when I have standard wishes and save all other primos and intertwined fates for that new banner. I’m also using all stardust to buy intertwined fates as much as it will let me. I’m also building a Gaming either way, as a backup DPS if I don’t get Diluc this time or an alternative for fun does. I mentioned having that skyward pride on Beidou but I’ll probably be using Beidou less now since I’ll use the pyro boys (and Dehya) for claymore stuff. I also might half build Xinyan for the lols. So I threw Dehya on that 3 star red claymore cuz it’s lvl 90 r5 (it was Beidou’s before I got skyward pride on standard) the 4 star claymores I have are Mailed Flower, Prototype Archaic, Whiteblind, Talking Stick, and I think Sacrifical Greatsword but can’t remember). Are any of these better on Diluc or should I just use that skyward pride. And which ones do I give to Dehya, Beidou, and Gaming, since they’re the only other claymores I can foresee myself using at the moment?

Anyway my account is actually starting to look up but it’s gonna be very slow going. At least my wanderer can usually kill most things in story without hassle. It’s gonna be a long time before I’m ready for abyss though.

Women of BSD as Genshin Impact players

Kyouka Izumi- Assasin in the streets, babysitter in the... Genshin Impact

Kyouka is that cute, stubborn kid that overfixates on things. Atsushi is things. Look, we all know Kyo-chan is mad intelligent and talented and it shows in her game play. Right off the bat she got the sense of the gameplay of every type of character and decided what works best for her. She knows what type of team she's going for and knows how to manage her materials wisely.

When she plays alone, Kyouka works towards bettering her characters and pushing through the storyline. Her favourite way to play the game is with Atsushi, whether alone or in co-op with others. Playing with Jinko is a huge win-win situation for her - she helps him beat up whatever he needs to take down and complete puzzles, he gives her praises and gratitude. And materials, but seldom does she take them.

Her main job, though, is to protect Atsushi and his world from the otherworldly evil known as the suicidal maniac, Dazai Osamu. She's fairly successful.

Main Team: MC, Klee, Keqing, Rosaria

Sub Team: MC, Qiqi, Fischl, Hu Tao

Mains MC, both for her flexibility with elements and because she likes being the little sister to Atsushi's male MC.

Yosano Akiko- retired nurse, now a terrorist

Did you really think she'd stay a healer without having the sadistic satisfaction of hurting people in grotesque ways? Nay. She doesn't have a single healer on team. She either has a teammate who's a healer like Haruno, or she wastes abundance of food until she can teleport to a statue of the seven.

Her game play is on crack, basically. She has several energy spurs, sometimes several times a day, where she rages through the game, before losing interest and going shopping. It's very possible with her that days can pass before she feels like playing again. Then she binges the game for hours and repeat.

When i say she acts like on crack i mean it. She has rage in her veins instead of blood. She tanks her characters and goes out looking for fights with worst possible opponents. Hell, she'll under equip her party just to see how many mofos can she take down in weak state. Spoilers, a fair few. She does die quite a bit, and is almost always out of food, but she's just as stubborn as she's crazy. Those two thing correlate probably. Which is why she made Azdaha her bitch. Her party consists either of strong, hot milfs women like herself, or twinks. You won't see someone like Childe disrespecting her vibe.

Main Team: Beido, Venti, Hu Tao, Rozaria

Sub Team: Lisa, Yanfei, Ningguang, Xingqiu

Beido and Lisa main. Bad bitches only.

Naomi Tanizaki- the fangirl player

She basically collects the cutest characters possible.. That's how she chooses her characters, based on cuteness. She went for the hot ones first to pull her brother but she got jealous and changed her tactic. You know she's spending her money on character skins and certain banners. She's insanely lucky tho?? She got Qiqi on the standard banner as her first 5*, pulled Klee on her banner in little over four 10 pulles and got Diona eventually anyway. Baraba and Xiangling were free and she mained Xiangling untill Klee rolled in. She spent some money on Venti and was already in pity when Ganyu came around. She's fully ready to whale for Kokomi though.

Now i know i said she's incredibly lucky, right? Yeahh that luck has to turn against something to keep the balance and well... she's still crying over Chongyun.

She usually co-ops with her brother, it's a daily ritual. Loves co oping with everyone though, mostly Haruno, Atsushi and Kyouka. She made online friends as well. Actually, there is one person she co ops with almost as much as she does with her brother. IchiGawa is her Genshin bestie and they talk about their crushes and infatuations besides the game itself. Her friend is the only secret she keeps from her brother.

Main Team: Klee, Diona, Venti, Barbara

Sub Team: Razor, Xiangling, Xingqiu, Qiqi

A Klee main.

Haruno Kirako- the healer

Literal angel. You need her, i need her, ADA needs her, the president needs her, just... yes. Her whole team consists of support- healers and crowd control characters. She was a f2p at first, but realised she earns her own money and can spend it however she wishes and she chose the monthly cards.

She's a necessity, point blank. She can get intimidated by new foe at first, but when backed up by her friends, she becomes determined and flexible. Pays good attention to her teammates, most importantly, their health bars, and acts accordingly.

The only reason most of them made it as far as they have, being as reckless as they are.

Main Team: Albedo, Barbara, Jean, Venti

Sub Team: Qiqi, Noel, Jean, Xinyan

Mains Albedo and Barbara

Fan fact: She's very fascinated infatuated with Albedo!! He's even her home screen and has posters and key chain of him.

Gin Akutagawa- that cottagecore assassin

You may be wondering what that could even mean. Let me tell you, she brought Animal Crossing to Genshin Impact. Sure she takes care of her characters and they're pretty powerful, but she kicks ass in real life as well. The game is her little getaway, especially since Serenity pot has been introduced. She's been making away her home for her and her brother characters. You can see her chop wood, collect materials, taking pictures with her friends and her brother, sometimes of pretty scenery and cute moments. A very wholesome player.

She's the type to help her friends explore their world and help them find oculi, open chests, shrines, collect flowers, mine... She's very patient, but if she sees her co-op teammates struggle with something, she'll jump in to help do it herself untill told to back off. In which case she will listen and silently give her support, usually with the cheering stickers in the chat.

She's f2p! Sure, she could get the monthly card at least, as Ryunosuke told her, but she really wants to enjoy the game on her own terms and have what she does through her own effort and hard work. It just feels satisfying to her and more personal.

Main Team: Jean, Ayaka, Diluc, Barbara

Sub Team: Doesn't have one! She just changes characters if certain elements are needed.

Jean main!! She admirers the relationship her and Barbara have. While she's the younger of the two, she's taken the mantle of the older sibling, in a way, and is looking after her reckless as heck brother and cares for him like Jean does for Barbara. Jean is also a wonderful person in her eyes and Gin harbours great respect for the blonde.

Higuchi Ichiyo- IchiGawa 🤡

I love Higuchi so much, but my girl is a mess and a half. Help her, please. No, really, she needs help. She's been over compensating for not being dramatic and eye catching in the battlefield, and has now found a new way to prove herself to her Akutagawa-san. Problem is, as soon as she sees a potentially powerful character, she has to get them and boost them to the havens... yeahh, good thing you can't do loans in the game, otherwise she'd have sharks on her ass for having a bill as dramatic and eye catching as Tsunade's from Naruto. Our girl out there turning heads for wrong reasons. She's definitely spent her pay checks on the game "oh no no, i just buy the monthly subscription, ehe" ehe my ass, you bankrupt bitch. Baal is coming and she's looking to sell a kidney. No, it's not her own and no, it doesn't have anything to do with the game. It's a mission, for God's sake.

But hey, the game is a good investment for her! She even made a friend, one that totally understands her how she feels!! They're very alike as well, ready to do anything for the person they love. The two talk about love a lot and have bonded over it. Higuchi is actually a jealous and a protective type of person, so she hides her friend from Gin and Tachihara like snake hides it's legs. If only they knew 🤡. But it's better this way as they both have a certain sense of normalcy and familiarity they were missing in their daily lives. (Higuchi and Naomi meeting scenario when?)

Main Team: Xiao, Fischl, Xingqiu, Diluc

Sub Team: Baal (soon?), Venti, Ganyu, Zhongli

She mains Xiao because he reminds her of Akutagawa-san and yes, she uses characters from her sub team when playing with others.

Fan Fact: when she was asked why her username is IchiGawa, she said she's like a river 🤡 No, it does absolutely not stand for Ichiyo Akutagawa.

Ozaki Kouyo- the husbando and loli collector

Don't get the wrong idea when i said loli collector. She just needs to adopt them and look after them. She also enjoys watching her precious babies kick ass like her Kyouka. But that's a two way sword, because she gets angry when they die. Savage.

And yeahh, the real reason she's playing the game... Mr Zhongli. She switches often between eng and jpn audios because she can't decide which sounds sexier. Also, Mr Diluc? Yes, she would like to be served one sex on the beach please and thank you! Ah, Mr Kaeya, a perfect window of opportunity, yes.

She has a huge spot for the teenager group as well. Razor, Bennett, Fishl, Xiangling, Xingqiu and Chongyun are also her kids. She just finds them very precious (don't we all?).

Main Team: Zhongli, Kaeya, Bennett, Diluc

Sub Team: Diona, Klee, Qiqi, Sayu

A Zhongli and Diluc main.

Bonus:

Elise- the evil lackadaisical player

Mori found out about the game from Higuchi and Tachihara and introduced it to Elise, telling her she should make a team of sweet little girls like herself and have fun going on adventures around Teyvat. In response, Elise made a team that, not only does it not have a single child in it, but is using it to gaslight and bully Rintarou.

"Why aren't you smart and inventive like Albedo?"

"Why aren't you as passionate and persistent as Sucrose?"

"Look how capable, loved and admired Ningguang is. You could never."

"I wish i had someone as strong, caring, handsome and rich like Childe looking after me. He would treat me like a real princess. "

Mori has been crying rivers ever since.

Thing is, Elise isn't even that interest in the story. Actually, she couldn't care less. Some characters are interesting to her and she likes the graphics, but other than that, she's mostly playing the game to torture the greasy doctor (as she should).

Sub Team: doesn't have one

Doesn't have a main either, she plays whoever she feels like playing.

Seeing people complaining about the lack of anniversary rewards is getting so tiring. The game's ratings dropped to like 2 on Google play, all comment sections of official accounts are full of complaints. I know and understand that people are upset but it's just so so tiring to the point where I unfollowed most accounts that aren't related to fanart or fanfiction because of all that negativity

I personally spent (a little) money on the game so I get where p2w players come from but idk. I saw that we didn't get anything and moved on pretty quickly. Maybe that's just me, idk

Maybe you have a different view on this and if so, I'd like to hear it

Read if you like, don't if you don't--this is just my opinions and stuff based off my experience knowing Eastern gatcha games as well as talking about using a 5* vs 4* of the same build + slot

This got kinda long ehe-

Like really long.

Anyway

My turn for a Hot Take (tm)

Yeah I understand this--I've been feeling so drained and my enjoyment of the game and writing has diminished immensely because all I see everywhere is just that.

I understand that the event rewards suck but at the same time? I realize how gacha aren't really popular here in the West--and I have seen a lot of comparison between Genshin and Cookie Run but they're also two entirely different genres despite both being gacha. Not to mention that Cookie Run is fast at first until you get to around uhh Kingdom lvl 37~~ and you're stuck and can't go forward because things cost too many materials or your cookies aren't strong enough even though you have several stars on your team consisting of epics built as optimally as possible-

So the maintenance rewards for Cookie Run have been the only significant amount of gems I've been getting for a few weeks now compared to when I first started and could do 10 roll after 10 roll.

Also also, Cookie Run is PvP (arena, guilds, etc). Being able to get more rolls is absolutely a gamechanger. If you can't get a good defense cookie or healer cookie, you're fucked.

So!! That's why Cookie Run is more generous with rolls. You're not going to want to keep fighting other people in the Arena or doing Guild stuff if they don't add in those generous rewards.

On the other hand, Genshin Impact is an open world rpg w/ co-op (note, co-op doesn't count as pvp because you're collaborating) where you can build pretty much any of the characters to be viable (dps/vampire Barbara is one major example, Noelle is a guarantee roll character for that beginner's banner and she can easily be built to be a tank/healer/dps to fill whatever slot you desire)

So they're not going to be incredibly generous w/ rewards because the characters you have--meta or not--don't really effect your ability to play the game (unless we're talking spiral abyss which really is considered endgame anyway) when you're able to get at least one character of each element for free I mean, you start out with traveler who can be anemo, geo, or electro once you get to the respective places, Amber, Kaeya, Lisa, Barbara (iirc, you need to get to rank 20?), Xiangling (complete spiral abyss floor 3), and Noelle (reduced cost 10roll w/ guaranteed Noelle).

Which would be one of each element and a variety of one of the 5 weapon types nodnod.

Time to talk about builds and why it's not necessary to have a 5* unlike in other gatcha games like Cookie Run (again, a kingdoms builder) before going back to the anniversary stuff

But continuing, like Eula is considered a fantastic 5* character who features a kit that is based around her being a physical damage character. My sibling, C, has her built and she does some insane damage.

On the other hand, I have Xinyan built as a physical dps and if you were to compare their damage?

With crit, C's Eula deals 9k to 14k with Skyward Pride (5* claymore w/ energy recharge substat). With crit, my Xinyan deals 8k to 13k with Song of Broken Pines (5* claymore w/ phys substat) OR 7k to 10k with Prototype Archaic (4* craftable claymore w/ attack substat).

Both C and I agree that they're pretty evenly-matched in the sense of damage output.

We have similar builds focusing on physical damage, however, C's Eula uses 4pc Pale Flame and my Xinyan uses 2pc Bloodstained, 2pc Pale Flame (both have the 25% phys damage bonus for the 2pc). It's also good to note that both their Eula and my Xinyan have a physical dmg % cup.

So just by stacking up more phys on Xinyan, you get a physical dps (with some elemental support capabilities due to her E and Q) you can easily make her deal consistent, reliable damage that is comparable to a fully built Eula. Ofc, I'm sacrificing Xinyan's shield, but since she's built to be a physical dps, it doesn't matter anyway.

Another thing is Zhongli is an incredible shield support. His shield?? Absolutely insane because it's based off his hps. Guess who else has a hp-based shield and heals??? Diona. Another incredibly good support 4* with a shield and healing would be Noelle!

But with Diona, specifically since I did kinda cover over Noelle already, she can easily be built along with her shield having over 100% uptime (like how Zhongli has over 100% uptime). The fact that Diona is also a healer definitely is a perk too.

Ofc the difference with this is that Zhongli can be built as a burst support/dps while Diona is not. But the point isn't that--the point is that you don't need a 5* shield support to have a good, reliable shield support.

But regardless of 4* or 5*, to get a viable character, you need to build them well. So if your character isn't doing satisfactory damage, you just have to take a quick peek at what artifacts they're running and fix as needed!

Another thing--

Talking about the rewards and stuff for the anniversary-

Generally, gatcha games aren't really that generous with rewards and instead usually have some sort of event. In this case, I'm pretty sure that Moonchase is considered a part of the anniversary which is why it's giving so many rewards- just the primos from the first day alone with the chests and quest was enough for two rolls (40 chests * 5 primos each + 60 from the quest and a few that I forgot where they come from but are from the event) as well as the 4* Luxurious Sea Lord claymore.

Before you say that it's shitty for them to make a festival into the anniversary event, I'm certain that people would complain if the anniversary rewards were just a little more than the 10x fates and stuff and that's it because it'd feel like they're skipping over the anniversary entirely. (keep in mind, festivals don't normally give this much stuff in terms of primogems from what we've experienced so far--they're mainly focused on the free event weapon you can get and build like with Festering Desire, Windborne Ode, Dodoco Tales)

Also companies love taking advantage of festivals to make an event bigger + more fleshed out. It'd be otherwise kinda boring to have to just log in every day for a week (not to mention, not everyone does that) and encourages players to play to get rewards.

yeah, that's supposed to work in their favor because they want to keep interest.

So the fact that there's a lot of backlash on everything going on is tiring and also?? I want to make the point that they'll only listen to so much. Getting heard is important, but there will be a point where Mihoyo will just stop listening to the players entirely because all they're getting is a constant barrage of "this event is the worst" "no one likes that character" "(insert character) when???" "okay but where's (blank) rerun?" pasted over the forums, discord, twitter, facebook, instagram--

You can't keep demanding more while also talking shit constantly about the new stuff added because then they'll just not add those new stuff because we (general) seem to never be satisfied.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up just cutting Genshin Impact as a loss entirely if this continues as it has and gets even worse.

But I digress.

Anyway, I agree that it sucks that the daily login rewards for the anniversary are just cut and pasted from the Lantern Rite, but as someone who's played a lot of gatcha games, it's pretty much the standard.

Have a daily sign in for rewards and a big event featuring a ton of stuff you can get instead of having an 'official' anniversary event.

I'm sure there's a lot I'm missing because it's not coming to mind, but yeah. These are my general thoughts on what's happening with the discourse.

genshin anon! yeah the sacrificial one can have the skill useable again after it's used! gosh i pull all the claymores :/ when i was doing some pulls to try to get homa, i got the wolf's gravestone instead AND i finally hit pity on my standard banner (i only use the free pulls on that) and got the freaking skyward claymore from it so.... yay.... guess xinyan can get a new claymore and if i ever pull diluc... ive got his claymore.... lol.

(2/5) oo nice! id definitely give bennett a try then. i use him in spiral abyss but my normal healer is diona. but he does really good. yeah i agree ): from what ive heard honkai had the same type of update schedule and it worked for that so.. im sure whenever a new region comes out everyone will come back and it'll bring more people in? but yeah exploring is so much fun and we just have to wait all the time. it would be nice to have a bit more events in between.

(4/5) probably won't pull anymore to save for childe. since c2 sucrose is good and i have razor now. i enjoyed his playstyle. it definitely took a bit to get used to but i think by the end of his story quest i had it. aww i love bow users! haha. i love using polearms and bows the most. i walk around the world with xiao, hu tao, venti, and diona lol. yeah i can't wait to see that boss then!! more story!!! did you do the hangouts yet? i unlocked barbara and noelle but i haven't done them yet.

and i am starting to get used to him!! actually between him, xingqiu, and chongyun i’m getting elemental reactions for days so it almost makes xiao the pointless member on my team now since he’s a pretty selfish character lmaoo once he gets to friendship level 10 i might swap him out again for a more support character like fischl and make bennet the main dps.

yeah!!! but i get they have to. program all the events ajsdkflaj in all honestly i think the rate they’re doing things is fine, but i do hope i don’t lose interest before another region comes out LMAO

i’m really really liking the windblume festival!!! maybe it’s not as like. pretty as liyue but the events are definitely WAY more fun ones that’s for sure. like even if i don’t get extra rewards some of them are just fun to play which is an indicator of like. a good minigame lmaooo. like the lyre/music one i really really want those perfect scores ajfskdl

i definitely like polearms and claymores the best! and as suggested earlier i walk around with whoever i’m trying to build friendship levels with while still having a balanced team so right now its xiao, bennet, xinqiu, and chongyun!! chongyun there bc the xinqiu/chongyun besties pair >>>>>>>>>>> for elemental reactions AND character stories lmao. i actually played chongyun’s hangout walking around as xinqiu which was funnier when chongyun mentioned xinqiu lmaoo.

i’ve done chongyun’s and barbara’s, i’m probably gonna do bennet’s next!! i like the hangouts, they do get a little tedious with the multiple endings but that’s the nature of these kinds of storyline-based games and i’m at least glad they give you the option to skip to certain parts of the story instead of restarting from the beginning (that would truly suck lmao). and at least you get rewards for each one.

lmaooo yup rosaria we’ll see... since she’s kind of featured i wonder if she’ll show up in the main storyline for the windblume festival like venti. but yeah she looks super fun to play, and since i love polearms + claymores and she’s a polearm user who looks like she fights like a claymore user i’m very 👀👀👀

Tho I don't think there's anything wrong in just having fun without doing everything, it's a game and that's what it's for! - I say, while being lazy and not wanting to walk miles in game to find chests. I really mean it, pushing yourself too hard is just not worth it. I only finished one game 100%, and after I hardly worked for months for it, I was leisurely driving my flower car, when the game crashed and never worked again haha

I'm almost there, I'm in Lvl 15. But 60 primogems after every course, I'll speed up! Funny story, I decided that i wanted to unlock the Liyue area, but I wasn't aware it was Liyue, so I walked up to the statue of the geo archon and resonated with it and unlocked the map! After that I pretended nothing happened, and ignored its existence to avoid spoiling the main plot.

I don't remember well, but yes he was really good, while he was alive I had a lot of fun!

Is your Keqing building going well? She must be really fast if she's quicker than the traveler, since to me they're really swift!

What is this resing system? The blue moons used to collect the prizes? Must suck to play through a lot of things that require them at once, if that's what you mean.

Besides support ice characters does great combos reactions, some element reactions cause more damage and normally it has to do with fire and ice.

My sister told me actually that she got it reaching 70 pulls actually D: but yeah, actually the rarest is 45-50 pulls. But yeah, those of 70 and that less one are for single pulls made strategically and you could end up getting one 5 stars or not!! There’s tons of videos about rating and they can explain it better to you than me xD

Don’t worry about potions and food in the start, the game will teach you everything about it and you will get used to it too eventually.

No, you understood wrong. Or I probably explained it wrong... lemme see... hm... Mihojo is getting better and better at creating 5 stars, they’re learning with the community what kind of characters can balance out the game and which wouldn’t, so there are no characters in the standard banner that can change battle styles in the middle of combat like Childe can OR there’s no character that can strike a meteor with their ult and stop enemies like Zhongli does, those characters got created after that feedback and they’re more “dynamic” than the ones created at first for the game.

Don’t get me wrong, Diluc is an amazing dps, Qiqi is an amazing healer and Keqing is good at being a dps as well, the 5-star from the standard banners are good ones, but none of them can be as good as the new ones because the new ones are evolving with the game’s mechanics, so there’s a possibility of those characters become outdated in front such better ones. That’s what I meant.

BUT in long term is easier getting 4 stars, so let’s say that while Diluc is great and all, if you have a Xinyan with 6 constellations, she will be better than a dry (with no constellations) Diluc in theory. Because she will be having a boost from those that will make her stronger. The thing is, the number of 4 stars will increase and it’s going to be harder getting duplicates of them xD

Ah, I’m pretty sure I did the same with Liyue LOL and you’re indeed almost there!! It worthed, it’s going to be a lot more than 400 primals in that event and you can do the courses any day, they just unlock one everyday, if you play through them all you can get them all in the same day... you just have to not miss the last day or leave it all for one day.......

I was farming for Keqing and her sword today, I had to stop exactly because of the resin system xD because I ran out of chances to keep collecting things, so I will have to wait and wait and wait kkkkkkkk I can’t really explain everything about the resin’s issues... because I just understand that it takes way too long to accumulate and stops the player from farming enough.

I recommend you watch a video about it tho, I really don’t think I know how to explain that one to it’s fullest, the issue is better explained from the players that have a real routine in the game and are focused on farming - I’m that type that goofy around xD

OMG!! The only time I “won” on the weapons banner was Itto’s sig weapon …. OF WHICH lol I wasn’t really pulling, I just wanted to see what would happen lolol I have it on Noelle and it’s great atm. Ah I meant I want to leave the Catch for Raiden but I recently gave Fav Lance to Zhongli and with him, albedo, sucrose and xiao… I AM DEMOLISHING RUIN GUARDS LIKE I AM SURPRISEDD!! Sucrose isn’t even fully built lol that’s what’s shocking me! Oh! So far, my current pulls have basically almost completed yanfei, finished xingqiu BUT no beidou 😢 I guess I gotta play fake and hOPE i don’t get beidou 😂😂😂

I'm actually kind of glad I got Skyharp bc Childe's artifacts need more work than Itto's and he desperately needed the crit rate and crit damage. Itto is GREAT with serpent spine anyway. I'm also saving my Catch for Raiden, and I'm hoping for a skyward spine from the standard banner so I can still have separate weapons for Zhongli, Thoma, Raiden. I love Catch on Thoma, though I wish we could have two dhgkdlfjhgdlkf

I hope you can get some Beidous soon! Wish I could share - I randomly got her c6 from my Zhongli pulls. Stopped pulling after I got Zhongli, though, bc Raiden hype and I am bound to lose another 50/50 at some point soon.

OMG you discovered the ruin guard fun, too! I've been fighting the groups of 2-4 of them around Enkanomiya and Guyun every day ever since I got the geo daddy! Zhongli is so great for them between the shield and the petrification!?? They can't even damage you, and once they're grouped up the meteor will just CC them alll??? And then Itto's charged attack spam will turn them to dust muahahahaha it's so satisfying.

Just..just...Itto go brrr what else can I say I love him very much

What does your team look like usually?

I have this under my about me page :D

But since it's not very detailed, I'll go into more here including builds :>

My go-to team comp is (in order) Qiqi, Xinyan, Xiao, Zhongli! They (Qiqi, Xiao, Zhongli), apart from Jean, are actually the only 5* characters that I have since I save every primogem I can for those I do want (Albedo when will you come home (': ) so I'm really lucky that I got Qiqi on standard early on! She was my first 5* :DD

Qiqi - lvl 90 - c0

I have her built with a 4pc Maiden's set and the Flute (all fully leveled, I think r2 Flute?). I focused on Attack for her because her healing scales off her attack. Right now her attack sits at 2.3k, so she's a pretty dependable healer which helps with Xiao's hp drain with his Q. Her heals have saved Xiao from death a hundred times over...especially because her auto has a chance of applying a talisman on the enemy ever 15 seconds which heals the team when she hits it or heals whoever you're playing as if not Qiqi.

Her skill does almost 5k per heal (x3).

Since I don't use her for her standard attacks, I actually gave her an attack % timepiece and hat instead of my usual go-to which is Crit Rate/Dmg %. Her cup is a Cryo dmg % cup though! I might change it in the future to Attack % as well, but we'll see-

All her talents are at lvl 7 (ehe..I need to work on that)

Xinyan - lvl 90 - c3

She's built to be a phys dps! I really lucked out and ended up getting Eula's weapon (Song of Broken Pines) since I had around 70~ rolls on weapon banner and won the 50/50 twice (since 50/50 for event weapon, then again because there's two featured 5* event weapons per banner). But she works really well if you have the Snow-Tombed Starsilver (4* craftable Dragonspine claymore).

Her attack sits at about 2.3k. Auto attack does between 4-9k depending on which of the 4 hits she's on.

Her artifacts consist of 2pc Pale Flame and 2pc Bloodstained Chivalry with focus on Attack % (timepiece), Phys dmg % (cup), and Crit Rate % (hat). All her artifact substats focus on crit rate/dmg and defense (% and flat).

Her talents in order are: 7 / 10 (c3 perk) / 7

Xiao - lvl 90 - c0

He's built to be a skill/burst dps and also work as his own battery (since the rest of the team doesn't give reliable energy). Weapon is the Lithic Spear (r1) but before I had him with the Crescent Pike. One day I hope to get more of the Lithic Spear because it's skill is too good since my team is all Liyue-

Anyway! He has 2pc Viridescent Venerer and 2pc Gladiators! His timepiece is Attack %, cup is Anemo dmg %, and he has a Crit dmg % hat. All his artifacts have Crit Rate/Dmg % and a mix of Attack %, Energy Recharge, and Elemental Mastery. I'm forever grinding the Viri/Maiden's domain because I'm a simp and also he's my best non-physical dps...and I need Viri for Kazuha but I've only been getting Maiden's.

His attack sits at 2.7k, skill does an avg of 22k (per single charge), and Q does an avg of 40k (per pummel).

All his talents are crowned :DD (lvl 10). Again, a simp.

Zhongli - lvl 90 - c1

The first character I really spent a ton of my rolls for! By that I mean from the week I first started playing all the way to his banner, I rolled a grand total of 20 times before saving the rest (~~ 120?) and...he ate them all but came home twice in the very last 10 roll I said I'd do for his banner. Stinky.

Anyway.

He's built with the Prototype Starglitter at r2 and as full support! I don't actually know what other weapon I'd give him, so he gets energy recharge % ehe.

His artifacts consist of 4pc Milleleth's and focus heavily on HP since his shield scales with his max HP. His timepiece is HP %, cup is Geo dmg %, and his hat is Crit Rate %, so his health is at a grand total of 32k. Which means that his shield more often than not has over 100% uptime :DD nothing can touch me-

The artifact substats focus on Crit Rate/Dmg %, HP%, and Energy Recharge.

Talent levels in order are: 7 / 7 / 8 (I originally was building him to be a burst dps...but the shield...I love it too much)

I believe that's about all I have :D

I know it wasn't necessary to provide their builds but I'm pretty proud ehe...hundreds of hours of grinding...my poor back.

My first 5* weapon was Song of Broken Pines- I did a few rolls on weapon banner and got lucky ehe (though ngl I was hoping I'd lose pity and get PWJ spear...that being said I pulled Primodial on the standard banner a week later)

22. Who are you pulling next?

If I end up giving in, I'll do maybe 20 or so pulls on Hu Tao banner to get one (1) Thoma. Otherwise..

I've been waiting for his rerun for almost a year now...the moment I spent over 120 rolls to get him and did not, I already was mourning the loss OTL

I'd say Xinyan or Venti--which comes off as a surprise because I'm a low-key person who likes staying at home...but then I look at my close friends irl and realize that they're pretty much like one of the two ahaha. So I think we'd get along well!

LOL yeah the violetgrass is an ascension material for xinyan! i would know... i spent forever hunting for it all the time :/ you can buy 5 from... the pharmacy in liyue harbor i think? you can buy 5 somewhere. also i saw you say you have her c5 lol. she's pretty good! her shield is pretty nice. got a long cooldown though, so i have her use the sacrificial claymore. lol yes plz put everyone back in i missed all the fun characters and i want to (try to) get them! (2/5) ah okay haha. i always have the english voices on for when i space out i still know what's going on lol. albedo's though.. so nice. want to replay his story mission just so i can listen to him ): yeah, they do say like chapter 1 or whatever so that really makes it seem like there will be more. oo bennett is nice. he's pretty versatile. you can have him just be a healer or set him up more to fight, which is nice. i tried using him a bit as a healer but idk it just wasn't meshing well for me

yeah it’s crazy how for the overall story we’re STILL on chapter 1 like.... it’s been ages lmao. yeah i hear a LOT of praise for bennet, as soon as jean gets to 10 friendship (since she’s almost there) i’m probably gonna use him as a healer/attack booster for xiao unless i miraculously pull qiqi or something.

lmaoo whoo namecards... it’s not a particular trophy either unless you actually use it either like nobody knows unless you tell them or use it as your namecard.

for1.4 i actually just watched the brief trailer which (hopefully this isn’t spoilers or anything??? BE WARNED RIGHT NOW) but omgggg when it’s hinted that that big water boss is like lumine/your other twin BROOOO ARE WE ACTUALLY GONNA GET STORY DEVELOPMENT like. HOW long have we been searching for our sibling at this point ajkfslajd and ahhh at first i wasn’t that excited about rosaria but the trailer also made her look extra cool hehe

personally i didn’t really like it although i did play completely by myself. it was just boring to sit through lmao i think i only did a couple levels so i couldn’t buy all the things in the xiao market or whatever but i was like sitting through all this is NOT worth it for me lmao. it looks like there are some more mini games coming up in 1.4 hopefully they’ll be more fun

the higher level things are impossible i’m not even gonna bother trying to get things to level 90 lmao i’m treating the level 80 as the 100% at this point with leveling up fjdlakfds. after my embarrassing time in my last co-op i’m probably gonna start looking at more artifacts which is just like... sigh another thing to worry about lmao. i’m having enough trouble with the talents jafkldjda

at first i didn’t like the world level up bc i was worried i wouldn’t be able to keep up with it but honestly it’s been okay. especially once you get a 5 star on your team or a really developed 4 star its like. fine lmao. and it definitely helps maintain the game’s difficulty bc it would be no fun if things were too easy hahaha and then also + incentive to level everything up again

(4/5) yeah i feel like there's definitely a bit more they could give us even with it being a free game. i don't see why we can't have a free roll of the standard banner a day... people aren't spending money on the standard banner. and resin! idk this isn't a pvp game so how good or bad my characters are don't affect anyone else. i feel like if they halved what the resin things costed, that would help a lot. or just have it recharge a bit faster.

(5/5) while i still have a chunk of things i can do, i can imagine higher level people really run out of things to do anymore and just pop on for their daily commissions and use their resin and then there's like... nothing to do... there'd be more incentive to play if there was more resin or something? also random question - what ar are you at? i'm curious haha. hmmm as of right now it’s mainly zhongli and albedo’s english voices that i really like, not sure about the others? granted i don’t normally listen to the english voices as often i mostly just get what i can from the trailers lmao. but i’m sure as we get more characters we’ll get more wonderful voices <3

yeah!! they’re clearly set up to be more in depth but we probably won’t get more for a while :( i really love xiangling’s burst hahaha it really comes in clutch a lot, especially since i personally don’t have any other good pyro characters (although i’ve been working on bennet)

i finally got chongyun to level 10 friendship and i’m just like !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MY BOY but yeah other than that no real success felt from that jafkdslads maybe i’ll drop a suggestion in mihoyo’s inbox about the increased stats on max friendship LMAO

i didn’t see everything for 1.4 but did see some of the major things here and there, either way a new update is always super exciting!!! i need to sit down and actually watch it tho i’ve been lazy lmaoo

yeah free rolls would be nice especially since it takes FOREVER to save up primogems. plus i feel like esp for f2p players, at least speaking for myself, there’s literally 0 incentive to ever pull on the weapons banner because you rather use your primogems on characters. so yeah a free wish or something would be nice bc i’d definitely invest more in the weapons banner if that was a thing

yeah the only thing i see with resin is actually your point with higher level players lmao, it forces player to play every day and for a long time since it takes a long time to level up everything lmao. if everyone could get 100% leveled up on everything really fast and just waiting for new updates it does become kind of boring and mihoyo is def trying to keep players in for the long run lmao

i did play with some people who knew what they were doing the other day and it seems they focus a lot on getting good artifacts, which is 100% just based on chance? so that’s what they spend a lot of their resin on ig lmaooo like they were GRINDING those artifact domains and i was just like bruh.... idc at all afdsjkladfj

Yes, the elements are what makes de combat on Genshin so great. Geo is a complicated element to use, since it’s an element that by nature is very inclined to support, even if Ningguang is actually a very good dps, they all some how have support abilities.

They work well as tanks and assistants for “real” dpss such as Diluc, Razor and such. Personally, I saw ppl running dps Zhongli and blasting with him, but he actually really shines as support.

When I tested him out I really liked his movements, the way his shield is so strong and how his ult is unique but also so powerful. To me, he’s a very good unit, despite everything I’ve said about him. However, I realized that he’s really not what I was needing in my team.

Cuz so far I’ve been running 2 supports as dps and 1 tank/sub-healer and 1 healer, which is fine for running around and doing daily tasks but not very powerful to take out bosses for example. Or to clean the abyss.

I was very unlucky on my first pulls in a sense, because I got a lot of repeated characters and not much differently characters to build in with, of course, the repeated characters became strong because of that, but they didn’t suit my taste, I really need a good dps, one that I can rely on and would make good combos with the characters I intend to use in the future.

That’s why I first thought about Xiao, since he’s so cool and he’s banner is so close too.

My friend tho, told me that Xiao will benefit from support characters, but he didn’t quite get my point of elemental reactions causing a damage chain reaction that is exactly what I’m searching for as a style to play. So in theory, Ayaka is my best shot, until then I will be able to gather enough primals!!

Ah, but I don’t need 20.000 primals actually. There’s a thing about the gatcha.

When you do 90 pulls you get a five star, it can be someone from the standard banner or the limited edition character, you surely know that, however, the pulls are accumulative, they only reset for a five star.

I’m at my 30th pull currently, so theoretically I would need just more 60th to get a guaranteed five-star.

HOWEVER, there’s another mechanic behind it. When you reach those 90th pulls and don’t get the character of the banner (currently, Zhongli) but get another five star (like I got Keqing), in the next 90th I’m guaranteed to get the 5-star character of the current special banner! And this doesn’t reset when they change banners, this is accumulative and stays, so they will give me the next 5-star of the banner that I choose to spend all my primals on.

So, if I went to complete all my 60th pulls on Xiao’s banner, I would get him for sure.

But also, you’re right, if someone started playing right now, they would need the number you said.

I think I can do more 30 pulls before Zhongli’s banner ends, with all the prizes, events and daily quests of this month, I can roughly maybe go for at least 30 pulls. Maybe I will only do 20, who knows. I really want more Xinyans tho. I would love do 40 pulls to at least try my luck!!

The devs didn’t confirm the weather system yet, but the spoilers talk about blizzards and items that give heat!!

Yes, the game would be so much nicer if it was ready, I guess it’s the price to pay (besides buying primals) for a free to play good game kkkkkkk I’m okay with the waiting, I will probably take some breaks from it periodically, I’ve been spending way too much time playing =/

But Dragonspine for sure is something to look forward to, the events too!! It seems like we’re getting more events!! With more free primal gems!!! <3

Btw, which is your type of weapon? Me and my sister like characters with the big sword for the damage, but spear users to me are so cool too (I actually like them better than normal sword users). Ah, and bows are terrible, I can’t aim to save my life either, anon!!
