idk how to tell y'all this, but if you're all the time complaining that people don't like your art posts enough, or like them but don't reblog, or like/reblog but don't leave comments, or that nobody around here appreciates art, or that everyone around here only cares about fan art and not whatever you're into instead, or that it's all their fault that artists don't make more art because you don't feel appreciated enough, or that “the algorithm” is against you and it's your followers' job to counteract it or else they're failing you... that's probably where you're actually losing the “engagement” you're seeking, not your art

I am going to try and put this in as few words as possible, because my roommate and I spent an hour talking about this today; but there is truly nothing more incredible to me than human creativity.

Like, you’re telling me someone made this? You’re telling me this art came from someone’s own hand? You’re telling me this story came from someone’s mind? You’re telling me that someone as flawed and mortal and lost as me made this?

There is a beauty in math and in science, I am not here to argue that. But mathematics existed long before us. Science will exist long after us. And while the knowledge we have is a wonder, it is not ours. We did not make one and one equal two, we only learned and accepted that it did.

But our art is not universal. Our music was born through us. Our writing will die with us. And there is so much more beauty in knowing that we have made something. People have language and culture and poetry not because it was fact, but by our own whim and design.

This is something AI can never fulfill. An algorithm cannot create, it can only compile. A computer generated image has no link to us, to human emotion. To human flaw and struggle and passion.

Art is beautiful, and creation is the most powerful thing a person can do. Your stories, your art, hell, your fanfic and original characters, they exist not because of universal laws of math and physics, but because of your mind and skill; and if that isn’t the most amazing thing in the world, then what is?

if y'all don't stop referring to A.I. garbage as "art" and the things humans make as "content" I'm going to start gnawing on you. disrespectfully

How do you feel about the increase in really weird NSFW ads on here (advertising panels that look like sexual encounters, and AI art apps that pride themselves on porn) but will take down NSFW posts from their users, even if it isn't technically sexual.

i hate all social media and it's consistent prioritising the advertisers over the users and the internet simply was a better place before capitalism sunk its hooks into it

I’m so sorry beloveds, I haven’t drawn much lately. I’ve been working on a renkaza fic though! It’s about Akaza adapting to being human, if anyone’s interested !

Anyways, all I have to offer you are these quick sketches and doodles !

I saw some very fun poses on Pinterest and had to draw Akaza as them! Please ignore how sketchy they are, I haven’t cleaned them up too much ! The first doodle is very important to me, I know Akaza loves yapping and it gets on kyo’s nerves before they get close and are no longer enemies. In that doodle I imagine Akaza had been trailing after (stalking and annoying) kyo for quite awhile now, and kyo has grown used to him. Less enemies but kyojuro wouldn’t call them friends ! (They are friends ) also the little Akaza head doodle is so precious to me he’s so cute, I love how he turned out there !
