Nikolai, Sigma, and Dazai are all experiments: Dazai's a demon-human hybrid, Sigma's a cryptid, and Nikolai is a heartless angel. Fyodor was the man who created all of them. Idk there's really not much else to it besides the fact that Nikolai's strings where his heart can literally be played like a harp.
