Seong Taehoon x Reader: Military Service
Final chapter spoiler! G/N. Fluff.
Your presence slips into stories with other troops. Places you visited together, things you both experienced, time spent side by side.
"Did you used to hang out at the arcade on your own?" A fellow soldier asks Taehoon.
Taehoon thinks of your face lit up in the artificial glow, his battle victories and KO reflected in your eyes. He responds to the question with a shrug.
It used to be true, after Do Woon, then it wasn't true at all once he met you.

"Are you stupid? Of course Haeundae beach is the best!" A voice pipes up amidst the mess hall chatter.
"Boring." Someone else dismisses, "Everyone always goes there. Overcrowded."
Overcrowded.
That's one way to put Taehoon's time with you and the Yoo Hobin Company at Daecheon beach, another well known tourist spot.
He spent most of the time annoyed on the train journey, irritated on the sand, shoulder barging people on the pier, and growling at men ogling you for too long.
But then you two ended up drinking on the pier alone that night; you swaying from drinking too much and Taehoon stone cold sober-
"You're really bad tempered you know," you narrow your eyes at Taehoon, who whips his head round at your slurred speech and scowls, "and your personality is definitely something. You're abrasive and mean and hotheaded."
Taehoon’s eyebrows shoot into his hairline at this unprovoked attack.
"How you have any friends I don't even know. It's like people are attracted to you being an asshole. I suppose I can't talk." You tap your chin, deep in thought and oblivious to how much he looks on the brink of storming off, "Though... I guess you're sweet in your own way. You're cute too. Especially when you pout. I don't pout!" You taunt, in a tone eerily similar to his and you cackle at your own hilarious impression.
Taehoon subtly stops his bottom lip jutting out.
"And you look after me. Even if you also deny that." You direct a drunken grin his way, and don't notice that he doesn't look mad anymore. You didn't even realise he was mad in the first place. "Your disrespect for my personal space is sometimes infuriating too but often hot." You take a swig of your beer muttering, "I don't know why I'm telling you this."
Taehoon smirks, leaning into your space, holding your chin between his thumb and forefinger, and tilting you up to face him.
"Hot, huh?"
"Asshole," you breathe. You don't know whether the rush of blood to your cheeks is a result of the alcohol or something else.
Taehoon arches an eyebrow, incredulous at your audacity. "I'm the asshole? After everything you just said? You want me to beat you up?"
You huff, looking anywhere but him. "I don't really think you're an asshole. Most of the time. I think I just... I really like you."
You had your first kiss that night.
You always tell everyone you don't know who kissed who, and Taehoon is surprisingly gentlemanly enough not to say.
But you remember leaning in first, feeling his gasp-turned-chuckle-turned-sigh on your lips.

His lungs are on fire, heart thumping in his ears, sweat dripping down his face
Put through his paces with an 80lb pack on his back, paying for his cocky attitude in the first month to his superiors.
He feels their eyes, impressed though lips curled, as he finishes the 6am drills first yet again.
"Shit!" Taehoon turns to see a private finishing behind him, a good minute slower, before dropping to all fours and dry heaving.
"H-How the fuck are you so fast? Who did you train with?"
Technically his dad. Taehoon gives his answer, clipped and curt.
What he doesn't mention is you sitting in the dojo all those evenings and nights and early mornings too. In the corner on your laptop, surrounded by books, half falling asleep. Or simply - watching.
What he also doesn't mention, nor has he ever confessed, is that your presence spurs him on to work harder, kick harder, punch harder.
If just for the way your face lights up, mouth forming an 'o', the occasional applause when he's been particularly impressive.
He calls you cringe every time.
Yet he has never mentioned how his chest puffs with pride at your praise, but he thinks it may have been obvious anyway.

Taehoon spots you, back to him, gently swaying to the music on your own. No doubt eyes on Rumi and Wangguk’s first dance as husband and wife, like everyone else.
Your hair looks longer, though of course it is. It's been months.
Self consciousness creeps in. Taehoon wonders if you mind that he hasn't had time to change, his bomber jackets untouched for so long. He wonders if you will like his hair, short and natural, military standard.
Most of all-
If you will still feel the same. After all, young love is fickle, flighty, fleeting.
He swallows down his nervousness and ignores the fluttering in his stomach.

You feel an arm curling round your waist. The weight of the hand and the heat of the embrace you've dreamt about for nights on end.
"I've been waiting for you," you whisper.
Taehoon kisses you. It feels like the first time, on the sun bleached pier, all those years ago.
Except, he leans in first.
The softness of your lips just as he remembers, and tonight, he feels your pleased sigh ghosting his skin.

244/Jinho Lee as a dad
After putting it off, I finally caught up with Viral Hit on Webtoons. I’m someone who loves reading headcanons/scenarios about my favorite series and just people’s thoughts in general. A popular headcanon across many fandoms seem to be “how would x be as a dad,” and I’ve given it some thought.
There are many lovely headcanons about father 244 on here, but I have a different idea of how he would be, so here we go! This will be single dad 244. Possible mild spoilers!
I can’t imagine him being married, which is why I’m going the single father route. I can see him having a child due to an accidental slip-up. He’d either be a single father because the mother is deceased or because they aren’t together, but let's go the deceased route. Sorry, mom.
According to the wiki, he is older than 25, but I can’t imagine him being older than 33. Let’s put him around 28 for our scenario. For scenario/headcanon purposes let's say that he has a 5 year old daughter .
Onto the good stuff, I don’t think 244 would be a good dad. I believe that he would be emotionally unavailable. He himself and other characters who know him as Jinho acknowledge that he is heartless and lacks proper emotions. He doesn’t view people as people and admittedly feels empty. I personally think that he is possibly a psychopath. Whatever love he would have for his child would be shallow and more like the love one would have for a belonging or tool than a person.
He wouldn’t be physically affectionate unless he had something to gain from it. I can see him only being affectionate to look good in front of others or to manipulate his child into doing something because he knows that humans crave affection.
He would provide well financially. We can see that he is pretty wealthy. I think that his daughter would live in a nice neighborhood, go to the best schools, have the best toys, and she'd receive a hefty allowance once she entered middle school. Now, I don't think that he'd send his child to the best schools just because, she'd definitely have to eventually do something in return such as making sure to brush shoulders with the children of powerful men, only so he can use them to expand himself and go even higher. Not at 5 but she'll have to be prepared for it later on.
Part of me thinks that he'd raise her as a useful tool but another part of me thinks that she would have a somewhat normal but detached upbringing.
Another thing, I don’t think that he’d would ACTUALLY raise his own child. I think that for the most part his child would be raised by a nanny. They'd live in the same house but he seems to be a busy man so I imagine that he'd be away on "business" trips pretty often. I'd say that he'd spend half of his time at home and the other half out.
I could see him checking in on her progress and status through the nanny though. I don't think he would go out of his way to take her out or spend time with her unless he needed her for something or she requested it. Perhaps he'd do it every once in a while on a whim.
Now I don't think he'd be a complete asshole to his own child. He wouldn't be mean but he wouldn't go out of his way to be loving. Like he would let his child hug him but he wouldn't go out of his way to hug his own child. He also wouldn't be the type to randomly tell his child he loves her, I don't think he'd actually say it in general, unless once again, he had something to gain. He'd be a distant father.
His child wouldn't have the best upbringing honestly, but it wouldn't be the worst. She would be well fed, have a warm bed, nice toys, and warm clothes, but she would have a distant father. I can imagine her having a loving nanny who continually tries to (wrongfully) tell her that 244 loves her very much.
How he behaves as a father could go multiple ways. He could be a "normal" yet distant father, constantly on business trips, not really affectionate, always throwing money towards his child, but he never actually does anything bad. He's not the most loving dad but he wouldn't full on treat his daughter terribly.
He could also just go full bad father route. Extremely manipulative(more so than usual) and essentially raises his child solely as a tool to help further himself.
He'd possibly be a mixture of the two. Sometimes manipulative and occasionally uses his daughter as a tool if the situation calls. But he wouldn't go out of his way to specifically raise her as a tool and constantly use her as one.

DP x DC: The Most Dangerous Card Game
Ok so Danny has essentially claimed earth as his. And he is fully aware that there are constant threats to the planet. Now he can’t stop a threat that originates on earth (that’s something he’ll leave to the Justice league) but he can do something about outside threats. Doing some research on ancient spells, rituals, and artifacts, he cast a world wide barrier on the planet to protect it from hostile threats so they cannot enter. This will prevent another Pariah Dark incident. However, barriers like this come at a price. You see, there are two ways to make a barrier. Either make one powered up by your own energy and power (which would be constantly draining) or set up a barrier with rules. The way magic works is that nothing can be absolutely indestructible. It must have a weakness. The most powerful barriers weren’t the ones reinforced with layer after layer of protective charms and buffed up with power. Those could eventually be destroyed either by being overpowered, wearing them down, or by cutting off the original power source. No, the most powerful barriers were the ones with a deliberate weakness. A barrier indestructible except for one spot. A cage that can only be opened from the outside. Or that can only be passed with a key or by solving a riddle. So Danny chooses this type of barrier and does the necessary ritual and pours in enough power to make it. And he adds his condition for anyone to enter.
Now the Justice league? Find out about the barrier when Trigon attempts to attack, they were preparing after he threatened what he would do once he got to earth. How he would destroy them. The Justice league tried to take the fight to him first but were utterly destroyed, so they retreated home to tend to their injuries, and fortify earth for one. Last. Stand. Only when Trigon makes his big entrance…he’s stopped.
The Justice league watch in awe as this thin see-through barrier with beautiful green swirls and speckled white lights like stars apears blocking Trigon and his army’s advance. The barrier looks so thin and fragile yet no matter how hard the warlord hits, none of his attacks can get through and neither can he damage said barrier. That’s when Constantine and Zatanna recognizes what this barrier is. Something only a powerful entity could create. For a moment, the league is filled with hope that Trigon can’t get through yet Constantine also explains that it’s not impenetrable. And clearly Trigon knows this too for he calls out a challenge.
And that’s when, in a flash of light, a tiny glowing teenager appears. He looked absolutly minuscule compared to Trigon and yet practically glowed with power (this isn’t a King Danny AU though).
And that is when the conditions for passing the barrier are revealed. And the Justice realize that the only thing stopping Trigon and his army from decimating earth. The only way he can get through….is by beating this glowing teenager in a card game.
Not just any card game though. The most convoluted game Sam, Danny, and Tucker invented themselves. It’s like the infinite realms version of magic the gathering, combined with Pokémon, and chess. And Danny is the master. So sit down Trigon and let’s play.
(The most intense card game of the Justice league’s life).
After Danny wins, this happens a few more times with outer word beings and possibly even demons attempting to invade earth, yet none have been able to beat the mysterious teenager in a card game. Constantine might even take a crack at it and try to figure out how to play. He’s really bad though. Every time this happens, the Justice league worry that this might be the time the teenager looses. Yet every time, he wins (even if only barely).
Meanwhile, Danny, Sam, and Tucker have gotten addicted to the game and play it almost daily. Some teachers might seem them playing the game are are like ‘awww how cute’ not realizing this game is literally saving the world. Jazz is just happy they aren’t spending as much time on their screens playing Doomed.

Much less painful too.#Danny Tucker and Sam made the most complicated card game they could imagine.#It’s based on their strategies for fighting ghosts. Capturing them in thermoses. And MUCH based on a on field battle strategy.#It often requires spontaneous thinking on the spot. So Danny? In his ELEMNT. It doubles as practice for his actual ghost battles too.#They had SO much fun making this.#Sam added an entire series of plant cards that act as traps and healing ointments and duds that just take up the field.#Tucker added legitimate hyroglyphics combined with Latin as well as English and ghost speak.#Yes. You actually have to speak that language to play. With proper pronunciation. (Amity Parker’s think the three are talking gibberish.)#I headcanon Sam and Tucker are fluent in Ghost.#Constantine WILL figure this game out SO HELP HIM!#Some of the cards also have combinations related to constellations either in name or placement on the board.#By the way the board is based on a Hexagonal summoning circle with Rhunes along the edges#And the placement of the cards on the board and on what rhune MATTERS.#Also the cards move disintegrate and have certain abilities. Think of Harry Potter Wizard Chess.#But they are normal when Danny plays at school. This is just for ✨effect✨ Against invaders.#Danny faces multiple opponents. He also halts alien invasions.#While Danny COULD stop crime on earth he’s not sure how to fight a normal human and hold back so he sticks to ghosts.#The Justice league are going crazy trying to figure out who this entity is and after deep research are convinced this is some sort of#Ancient being who has protected earth for millenia. They have paintings on ruins and everything.#Danny is not aware they think this.#Raven starts praying to Danny as if he is a god and wrangles the other Teen Titans into doing so as well. Danny is still unaware of this.#Danny is not a King or an ancient. Just a very VERY strong ghost.

I love Raph and haven’t said that enough so to be more specific I love that Raph is a soft boy who loves bear plushies, a gross boy who eats an assortment of things that are definitely better left alone, a smart boy who is more than capable of taking down villains through planning and fortitude alike, a strong boy who is dedicated to training his muscles and fighting prowess, a teenage boy who loves his brothers but is more than happy to tease and roughhouse with them, an angry boy who sometimes lets his anger take a hold of him to cover the fear, a gentle boy who is generous with hugs and affirmations to those he loves, a capable boy who takes on more than should ever be expected of a teenager, a good boy who just wants to be a hero and slowly comes to realize the cost of that duty, a good boy who has no reservations about putting himself in the way of harm coming to his family, a good boy who’s a great brother and son and person and deserves only the best the world has to offer.

Eddie's probably used to people being entertained by him, but not being endeared, and now he has Steve fucking Harrington winking at him after Hellfire, looking at him like he’s something special even when he's sweaty and has Mountain Dew sticky fingers, casually saying, "Why did they ever call me the King when you look that good up there on your throne, hm?” It’s a miracle Eddie isn’t constantly falling to his knees. Sometimes Steve’s compliments get Eddie so flustered that he just has to hide his face in Steve's neck and bite him.

Final chapter spoiler! G/N. Taehoon in the military and you ask for-
"Letters?"
"Yep!" you grin, popping the 'p' as Taehoon looks on incredulously.
"Why the fuck would I send letters when I can just text you?"
"Because," you tip onto your toes and reach up to kiss him, "It'll be romantic."
Profanities are mumbled under his breath.

Taehoon feels like an idiot. He feels so cringe he's going to crawl out of his skin.
He texted you today, video called you last night. Yet your request for letters runs round and round his head.
Rattling like an incessant, annoying bug. Reminding him of your request accompanied by hopeful eyes and a sweet kiss.
Fuck.
The paper looks so very blank. Large and looming and intimidating. Like an exam sheet 5 minutes before the end and nothing has been scribbled down.
How is he even supposed to start this?
'Dear Y/N,'
-is immediately scratched out, scrunched up then tossed towards the garbage can.

You receive a letter a few days later.
Your name and address written in scratchy chicken script. The fact that it was delivered successfully is a miracle in and of itself.
With uncharacteristic patience and utmost care, you peel open the envelope.
A few paragraphs fill half the page. You read over his words, feel the hesitation between the lines, and soak up the love that you know has been poured into this act. Just the fact that he has done this says more than enough.

Taehoon is snippy, snippier than usual on video call tonight. His short dark hair and uniform seemingly amplifying his hard edges.
You know his leg is bouncing out of shot.
"Haven't you received it yet?" He cuts you off mid-sentence.
"Received what?"
"What do you think?"
“Your letter?”
Taehoon confirms it with a scowl.
You give him a grin, brushing past his question and leaving his mood sour.

There's mail waiting for him. Correspondence.
In a plain white envelope, with simple stamps.
But the writing-
His name, with your particular slant of characters and loops as unique to him as your laugh.
The way he opens the envelope is the opposite to you. Teared open, fingers urgent.
(When was the last time, anyway, that he received a handwritten letter?)
His eyes scan the words. What could be cringe, he finds endearing. What could be sappy, warms him.
Feels your absence more than ever after reading, counts down the days until he can see you again.
He regrets his letter. That he has none of your poetic ramblings, or interesting turn of phrases. That he isn't able to express his emotions, taking pen to paper like a duck to water, as well as you do.
He’ll have to do better with his next one.
Yet-
Taehoon is left love drunk, mood light and floating on air when sleep takes him that night.

What if when ghosts - including Danny - enter that form with a ghostly tail it means they have to consciously be aware of their own physical appearance.
For actual ghosts it's not that big of a deal since most of them already have the disconnection from humanity that comes with death. Many of them have either been dead too long to remember what a human form should properly look like while others just straight up don't care, and for most, it's just subconscious and they don't have to really think about it.
But Danny's a little anxious about it.
On one hand, it means that he gets to play some really great pranks on Sam and Tucker, but on the other hand, it also means that most people end up terrified and starkly reminded that their local superhero is, in fact, just one of the many ghosts that he fights.
But I'm not talking huge differences in appearance - nah, I'm a fan of unnerving, pre-eldritch Danny.
So in the heat of the moment Danny slips up and his arms may appear just a little too long, his teeth a little too sharp, his body distorted just enough to make your hair stand on end. His eyes reflect in the dark and his Lichtenburg scars stand out a little too starkly against his bloodless pallor. His suit loses that hazmat sheen and dulls to a smokey charcoal black, looking far too tight, stretched to its limits against muscle and bone, fused with his skin.
His hands get a little too big and his victorious grin stretches a little too wide across his face.
Sometimes, in the heat of battle, if you get a little too close, you can see something reminiscent of burn scars crawling up his neck and across his jaw, wrinkling his lips and creeping higher with his anger. The flesh, web-like and raised, but just as colourless as his complexion. Scars that only those who'd been saved and clutched tight in Phantom's arms have ever claimed to see.
But only sometimes.
Most of the time Phantom isn't even scary in the traditional sense - just the extreme Uncanny Valley sense. Most of the time Phantom is sarcastic and quick-witted and almost charming. Most of the time.
Nowadays Danny's got a better grip on it. It doesn't happen often.
But when it does, the Fenton's claim that it's proof of Phantom's deceit, hiding his sinister nature and deceiving Amity Park. It's something his parents never fail to use to try and prove just how inhuman he really is.

Sighing at the thought of Levi jumping in to help you whenever you’re anxious or scared to speak up for yourself. “Excuse me. That wasn’t her correct order.” He’ll politely say to the waiter as pink tints your cheeks. Or when someone cuts in front of you in line and he knows you’re not going to say anything so he’ll purposely roll on their heel. When they turn around to see who stepped on them they see Levi with an expressionless stare. “She was first.” Is all he’ll say. Sometimes you’ll try to stop him from doing anything. “It’s okay, Levi, we can get something somewhere else.” You tell him softly, not wanting to make a scene. “No. He doesn’t have the right to be an asshole, especially when you were being kind about it.” You sigh. “I know but-“. “No, they don’t get to talk to you like that.” He cuts you off because he won’t let anyone disrespect you in his presence. However, he knows you hate confrontation and anything like this gives you a lot of anxiety so he tries to comfort you by taking your hand and putting in his lap so he can softly stroke the inside of your palm. “I’m speaking to the manager and then we’ll go, okay?” He’ll say softly to you and you’ll nod in response, internally calming down as his fingers start to trace the patterns on your palm. He’ll pick up your hand and place a soft kiss on your knuckles to continue to reassure you ❤️

Listen, I hear y'all and your Touch Averse Autistic Donnie headcanons. But may I take a moment to present you with the option of: Physical Comfort Autistic Donnie, who is very comfortable touching his family and friends and with them touching him? And who uses physical touch as a way to show love without words?
Bc once you start looking for it, he is CONSTANTLY in physical contact with someone, and it's almost always in an affectionate way
