Tumblr media
Joel and Ellie had been at the commune for three whole hours before Joel can bring himself to ask about you.
“Where is she?” Joel finally asks as the four of them sit together and enjoy their meal. Tommy sighs, as though he’d been waiting for Joel to ask the question. He probably had been.
“I don’t know, Joel,” Tommy grunted, piercing the last morsel on his plate with his fork.
“You said she came here with you,” Joel grumbles, his voice just above a whisper.
“I also said she didn’t want to talk to you,” Tommy responds, swallowing and standing. He grabs his and Maria’s plate once she indicates that she’s done eating. Tommy moves to go to the kitchen, and Joel is following close behind him.
“So she’s here.” He tries to hide the desperation in his voice, but he doesn’t think he was all that convincing. He also doesn’t think he really cares.
Tommy turns to him, almost snatching Joel’s plate out of his hands. “I’ll tell her you’re here. Let her decide what to do about it. Don’t you dare go lookin’ for her.”
Joel sighs as he watches Tommy walk away from him, and he decides that he’s going to explore the rest of the commune. He eventually finds himself alone, sitting at a bar in an empty restaurant, thinking about the last time he saw you.
Three Years Ago
“Joel please!” You begged from where you stood with your half-packed backpack.
“No. I’m not joinin’ those Firefly fucks.” He stood tall and intimidating in front of you, almost like he was going to physically stop you from leaving.
“Even if I have to go?” You said sharply, turning to grab another essential from your small cabinet.
“You don’t have to go.” Joel almost scoffed.
“I’ll die if I stay here.”
“I’ll protect you!” Joel’s hands flew out from where they’d been at his sides. You flinched at the movement and the sudden change in his tone.
“You can’t. Not from this.” You mumbled, just barely loud enough for him to hear.
“From what?!” He continued to speak harshly, and you had to push through the instinct to just shut down.
You dropped what you’d been holding, pressing the palms of your hands into the edge of the counter.
“From myself!” You took a deep breath and finally turned to face him. “I am rotting here, Joel. I need to get out. For good.”
You had tried so hard to find a purpose here, with him, but every passing day only convinced you further that staying in Boston would kill you. One way or another, you knew that staying here would lead to you being just another one of the bodies that Joel had to toss in the pit. You shuddered at the thought.
“You’ll rot there too! You can’t pick and choose your life anymore, Y/N! It’s like this everywhere!”
You shook your head, feeling heat rush into your face. “It doesn’t have to be! What if there’s something else out there? Something better?”
“You want to risk your life to find out?”
“Yes, Joel! I have to!” You heard your voice crack, and it was evident that the desperation in your body language had finally seeped its way into your words.
“Fine!” He barked, turning towards his liquor cabinet as you finished shoving your things into your bag.
“Fine!” You pushed the whimper out of your voice as you zipped your bag shut and made your way out of your shared apartment.
Once you’d slammed the door shut behind you, you pressed your back against the weakened wood. You shut your eyes as tight as you could, trying to will the tears away as you left down the stairs to where Tommy was waiting for you outside.
Present Day, 2023
“Joel?” A soft voice comes from behind where Joel had parked himself at the bar. Joel’s head snaps up at your near-silent entrance. “Is that you?”
“...Y/N?” He curses himself for letting someone sneak up on him yet again. But once he sees your face, sees that you’re okay and alive he feels himself deflate. He hadn’t heard from you since you left, only getting bits and pieces from his brother, though Tommy had refused to give Joel much more than that. Joel was sure that had been at your request. After a while, Joel had stopped hearing from Tommy altogether, and thus lost access to whatever minuscule amounts of information he’d been getting about you.
“They said that Tommy’s brother had come through. Guess they weren’t lyin’.”
“Guess they weren’t.” He mumbles, turning back to where he’d been picking at the chipping wood of the bar.
“You’re really gonna leave her?” You say softly, coming around to the other side of the bar. You pull two glasses from under the counter and turn to grab a bottle of whiskey off the shelf behind you.
“Shit. How fast does word spread around here?” Joel says, watching your every move, trying to memorize the way you fit into this place so naturally, trying to convince himself that you’re happier here. Without him.
“Fast enough.” You sigh, placing a half-full glass in front of him. “Dammit.” He doesn’t grab the glass right away, staring at the sloshing liquid until it stills.
“You can’t leave her.” You say, resting your now empty hand against your hip.
“Like you left me?”
You sigh, moving to pull a stool from under the counter. You can’t bring yourself to sit directly next to him, not yet. You needed the foot of space that the bar provided to keep you from completely drowning yourself in his presence. “I didn’t have a choice, you know that. You meant the world to me. You still do."
“Do I?” “Joel.” You hesitate. “Do I?” He barks, and there’s a harshness to his words that hadn’t been there when he’d first asked the question. You appear to flinch, but he chooses not to comment on your obvious apprehension. You take a minute to compose yourself before beginning to speak.
“Of course you do. There hasn’t been anyone since you. I don’t know if there ever will be.” You look down at the bar in front of you, daring only once to sneak a peek at Joel’s hands that had finally clasped around the glass. “You don’t have to lie for me. I’m a big boy.” He takes a swig of his drink, grimacing at the pleasant burn it left as it traveled down his throat. “I’m not lyin’. You were it for me.” You continue to avoid his eyes as you busied yourself with wiping down the counter.
Joel grumbled, wanting to drop his head onto the old wood in front of him. “You’re too young for me to have been it for you.” “Maybe so, but I loved you.” “Loved?” “What does it matter to you?” You snap, finally looking up at him and meeting his eyes. It was then that you noticed just how tired he was. Sure, he’d been grizzled and tired when you’d last seen him, but it seemed that the last three years had aged him faster than the previous seventeen had.
“Never mind.” He says, breaking eye contact and looking back down at where his fingers traced the carvings in the glass.
You soften, realizing just how much you’d truly missed him, how much you still miss him. You miss the way he’d hold you after a supply run went wrong – or right, for that matter. Joel had loved holding you whenever he got the chance. You miss the way he’d laugh at one of your shitty jokes, playfully pushing you away from him as you tried to get him to admit he’d found it funny. You blush when the thought pops into your head, but you also miss the way he’d put his whole body into kissing you, always made you lose yourself in the feel of his lips, his hands, and his thighs pressed against your body. You didn’t want to dig yourself any deeper of a hole, so you decide to bring the topic back to something you could think about without wanting to scream.
“Please don’t leave her, Joel.”
Joel groans, looking back up at you and frowning, “We’re back on this?”
“It’s important. I can tell how much she means to you.” “It’s none of your business,” he says, taking a final swig of his drink.
“Isn’t it?”
He shakes his head, looking down at the empty glass in front of him, “Nope.”
“I suppose it’s not,” you relent, moving to pour him another few ounces. He lets you.
“I’m glad we finally agree on something.”
You nod, looking down at the bottle in your hands. You place the bottle back on the shelf, turning back to take a drink out of your own glass. You decide to push it further.
“Ellie’s not going to let you leave her.”
Joel sighs as if he’s annoyed that the conversation has continued, but he doesn’t leave. For that, you are thankful.
“What do you know about her?” He demands quietly, still refusing to look back up at you.
“I know enough.”
“I’m not gonna leave her,” he concedes, “I’m gonna give her a choice. Let her stay here or come with me.”
“She’s gonna choose you.”
“How do you know? You didn’t.”
“That was different.” “Was it?” He grunts.
“Yes. Because I regret it.” At this, his eyes snap up to meet yours. You’re looking at him sadly, as if it was obvious, as if he should have known that you regretted leaving him. Maybe he should have. He doesn’t say anything for a long while, just staring at you and watching the tears pool in your eyes.
“Oh,” is all he comes up with, and you frown.
“Is that what you wanted to hear? That I regret leaving you? That I’ve been miserable this whole time without you?”
“No, of course not,” he says sincerely.
You scoff, rolling your eyes and taking another drink from your glass, “Yeah right.”
“You think I wanted you to be miserable?” Joel says, finally standing from his seat at the bar, “I’ve thought about you every day since you left. I didn’t want to let you leave, but I also knew I had no power to stop you. I knew you were miserable in Boston. I knew I couldn’t convince you to stay.” “Even with how miserable leaving you made me feel, I think it was the right choice.” Joel frowns again, and the wrinkles around his eyes become only more prominent. You yearn to press the obvious hurt out of his face. You don’t let him speak, holding up your hand as you continue talking.
“I think I had to leave you. I don’t think I realized how important you were to me until I didn’t have you anymore.” At your words, Joel's frown only hardens. “You don’t mean that.”
“Don’t you tell me what I mean, Joel Miller,” you snap, your back straightening from where you’d been leaning against the shelf.
“If I was so important to you, why didn’t you come back?”
“I didn’t think you wanted me back.”
Joel’s face softens. He looks at you like you’ve just told him the most heartbreaking news he’d ever heard. “What?” He says it so quietly you almost miss it, “You thought…” he trails off, not allowing himself to finish the thought.
“I thought you hated me.” You blurt. You curse yourself, you’d meant to say it softer than that, to maybe sugarcoat it a little bit.
“You thought I hated you?” You don’t answer him this time, merely shrugging and looking down and tracing the grain pattern of the bar. “I could never hate you.”
He says it so harshly you feel as though you’re being scolded, and it only makes you shrink further in on yourself. He notices your shift and softens. He comes around your side of the bar, needing to be close to you, to feel your warmth again. You allow him to approach you, and when you don’t shy away from him, he feels a part of him that has been asleep for three years reawaken. He is filled with a sort of warmth that he never thought he’d feel again as he reaches up to cup your face, speaking softly, “Sweetheart, I could never hate you. Never in a million years could I hate you.” He brushes his thumb over your cheek, and he may be imagining it, but he thinks he feels you press your face into his hand. You close your eyes, but he has more to say.
“Y/N, listen to me. We’ve been through too much for me to ever hate you. I’ve seen you at your absolute worst and I still wanted you so bad it hurt.”
You pull away from his touch, and he feels cold again.
“That was before I left,” You say, almost as if you’re ashamed of yourself.
“That’s true. Even after that, though. I never hated you. Not for a second.” “Don’t lie to me Joel,” you almost whimper, and you shut your eyes in embarrassment at letting your voice crack.
“I’m not lying to you. Sure, I was pissed. Heartbroken, even. I thought you and Tommy were idiots for leaving, but there’s no way in hell I ever hated you for it.”
You give a non-commital shrug, still avoiding eye contact with him, “sure,” you eventually mumble.
“I’m telling you the truth. I have to reason to lie to you.”
“To spare my feelings, maybe.” You say softly, now fidgeting with your fingers.
“When have I ever done that?”
This makes you chuckle quietly, and he’s filled with a sort of pride that warms him from the inside out. There’s my girl, he finds himself thinking. Your laugh and your smile fades, and with it, that fuzzy feeling in Joel’s chest.
“You should hate me.” You finally say.
“I know,” he says, reaching up to touch you again. This time, he reaches for your hair, pushing a lock of it from your face, “But I can’t bring myself to.”
It's quiet for a few moments before you speak again, “I thought I hated you.” Joel’s hand drops from your face.
“What?” He tries to keep the fear out of his voice, and from your lack of reaction, he hopes that he’s succeeded.
“I thought I hated you because you let me leave so easily. I thought you’d just decided you didn’t need me anymore. That I wasn’t worth fighting for. That was stupid, I realize that now. But I wrote some pretty bitter things about you in my journal.”
Joel’s hand moves back up to your face, this time to brush away the tears that had fallen down your cheeks, “I could never not need you.”
You shake your head, moving out of his grip again. “You did just fine for more than a decade without me.”
“Maybe I just didn’t realize how alone I was.”
This makes you laugh again, but not in a way that fills Joel with warmth. It’s bitter, doubtful, and angry.
“I could show you,” he starts again, moving back into your personal space, “if you’d let me. I could show you how much you meant to me. How much you still mean to me.”
“I don’t…” you start, but he doesn’t let you finish.
“If you’d let me, I’d spend the rest of my life showing you how much you mean to me.”
“Joel…” you start again, but this time you let yourself trail off, not knowing what you were going to say, just knowing that you should probably say something.
“Please sugar,” he starts again, placing his hands softly on your shoulders. You don’t move any closer, but you also don’t move away, so Joel keeps going, “You said it yourself. There’s still a small part of you that loves me, even if you probably shouldn’t.”
You mumble something to yourself, something Joel couldn’t make out. He reaches up to move your face towards him, to force you to look at him. You obey his silent request, looking up and into his eyes that were somehow still so soft, even after all these years.
“It’s not a small part of me, Joel,” you say again, speaking louder this time, “It was never a small fucking part. My whole being was devoted to you. It tore me apart to leave you. I was useless on the road. Once we were with the Fireflies, I threw myself into my work and my chores so that I didn’t have to think about the huge Joel-shaped piece that was missing from my heart. I hate myself for leaving, and I hate myself even more for not going back to Boston and fighting for you. I was a coward. I still am.”
By the time you’re finished talking, tears are streaming down your face. Joel is looking at you with the softest eyes you’ve ever seen, and it makes you want to curl into a ball and never speak to anyone again. He lets you cry for a moment before he responds.
“If you’re a coward, then I’m a coward too. I could have just as easily come looking for you.” “I never expected you to.” You squeak out, in between your sobs “And I never expected you to come back. That doesn’t mean I got over you leaving. I didn’t think I’d ever get over it. And I hadn’t, not until I saw you here.”
Once he finishes speaking, he finally pulls you into his chest and just lets you sob into him. He doesn’t know how long the two of you stand there, in that empty bar, with his arms wrapped around you, but what he does know is that he never wants to let you go. Eventually, your sobs fade to quiet sniffles and you shift in order to wrap your arms around his body. Even though the two of you are pressed against each other, the way you grab at him makes it seem as though you need him even closer. You mumble something into his chest that he can’t quite make out, so he pulls you away from him. You whine at the loss of his touch, but you quiet once you see how he looks at you.
“What was that, sweetheart?”
“I said I love you.” You sniffle, reaching up and wiping a tear from his face.
“I love you too, Y/N. God, do I love you.”

A/n: I miss channies room man :’) (fuck Jyp, all my homies hate Jyp 😔✊) one of my friends just recently became a stay so they probs don’t know what it is. *sobs* i forgot how most of it ended too.. so I’m sorry about that, hopefully it’s okay tho !
!THIS IS PURE FICTION, NOTHING IN THIS IS REAL ITS JUST A STORY!
“Annnd.. that’s it! Thank you STAYS for tuning into another episode of Channies room and I’ll see you all next time!” Chan says, looking over to the door and seeing me wanting to enter.
He brings two of his fingers up to his eye, making his signature peace sign before pressing what he thought was the end button.
“Chris..” I mumble out, moving towards him. “I know baby, come here.” He coos, pulling me onto his lap. “What do you need?” Chan asks me, rubbing his hands up and down my thighs. “You..” I cry, wrapping my arms around his neck. “I need more of an explanation than that.” He chuckles, making me scoot back a bit so he can take his shirt off. “Dick.. I want your dick in me.” I beg.
“Good girl.” He smirks at me, unclipping my bra and watching it fall off my shoulders. “Fuck.. you’re so fucking hot..You gonna ride me?” Chan asks as he motions for me to get off his lap. I watch as he unzips his pants and pulls his cock out. “Wait. Condom.” I pause. “Don’t worry, i have one here.” He answers, I get back on his thigh and roll the rubber over his already erect dick.
“mmgh..” I whine as he stretches me out, my eyes squinting with pleasure.
“Oh god baby.. you’re so fucking tight and warm.” His hands make their way up to my waist as he begins to rock his hips up to meet mine. “Channie..” I moan, rubbing my hands up and down his chest. “Mmm.. fuck!” I move my head down so our lips meet. I capture his lips and begin kissing him. Our lips moving together in a rhythm. While we’re making love to each other there’s a knock on the door. Ignoring it, we continue doing what we were doing. I start riding him faster, moaning into his mouth as we both take each other.
“Fucking hell your cunts so addicting..” Chan groans into the kiss, his hands gripping my hips and bringing me up and down faster on his cock. “Y-you feel so good in me..” I whimper, one of my hands moving from his chest to rub my twitching pussy.
Another knock is done on the door, making me pissed off that someone’s trying to interrupt us, Chan notices the change of emotion in me and decides to call out to the person knocking on the door. “Yes? I’m busy right now.” He sighs hoping the person will leave.
“You realise you’re still live right?” It’s Han, he sounds worried and annoyed.
“You’re fucking kidding me right?” Chan replies, his eyes widening as worry fills his brain. “Nope, it’s all over the internet, people are talking and recording clips of everything. I’ll just come in and end it properly for you.”
“Shit..”
Han opens the door, keeping his eyes on the floor, acting like he wasn’t aware of what we were doing. He presses the ‘end’ button, double checking that he actually pressed it before deleting the stream off the account.
Han leaves the room, taking Chans laptop and giving the two of us some privacy to finish; since we didn’t have any earlier.
“What if you get kicked out of the group because of me..?” I whine into his neck, feeling a tear flutter out of my eye. “I’ll figure something out, yeah?” Chan replies, thrusting upwards into me. “
If nothing can make you feel better, at least sex does..” he chuckles, leaving a trail of kisses down my neck.
. . .
A few hours past it’s a little bit later, I’m laying in bed with Chan, we decide to check what STAYS are saying on social media about everything that just happened earlier today. It’s more tame than I expected luckily. Not many clips are coming out which i’m happy about people realising we deserve privacy, however it of course is going to be a trending topic all over the place. The other comments people are saying are like ‘i wish I was her’ or ‘Chan’s even hotter than I thought’. Guess that’s what happens when you fuck a kpop idol, huh.

Surprise Visits
Tumblr media
Pairing: Eddie Diaz x reader
Word count: 2400
Warnings: seizure, epileptic reader, possible inaccuracies
Summary: Eddie shows up unexpectedly. Reader is glad he did for more than one reason.
A/N: This is only my second time writing for Eddie and last time it was a co-write. I did a whole bunch of research and had some proof reading from the lovely @thatonewriter15 and @muchamusedaboutnothing. Hopefully this is a somewhat accurate representation... 🤞🏻
Trudging up the stairs towards her apartment, she cursed the elevators for being broken. All she wanted to do was collapse into her bed and sleep for two days. Unfortunately, that was impossible since it was only Wednesday and she had an important meeting first thing in the morning.
Passing the third floor, she considered if she was going to eat before she went to bed. She was starving, but cooking seemed like too much effort and time. Then she considered having something delivered but guessed that would take even longer than cooking. She decided to just eat a spoonful of peanut butter so that she wasn’t battling hunger while trying to fall asleep.
Finally reaching the fifth floor, she exited the stairwell and took the four steps to her door. It was a small victory for climbing the stairs— at least she didn’t have further to go once she got to her floor.
She unlocked the door and pushed it open. Immediately, she dumped her purse, jacket, and laptop case on the floor beside the door before pulling her shoes off one at a time to drop in the pile.
Rounding the corner into the living room, she gasped. Her favorite scented candle was lit on the coffee table next to several containers of Chinese take-out. Eddie stood from the couch as she approached.
“What are you doing here?” she asked as she let herself fall into his embrace.
He pecked a kiss to her temple as he pulled back to look at her. “You sounded a little overwhelmed when you called earlier. So I had Buck take Christopher for the night, and I brought you dinner.”
Tears welled in her eyes as she was overcome with emotions. “I love you. You are the best. I was about to eat some peanut butter because I’m too exhausted to cook or wait for delivery.”
“And let me guess, you’ve barely eaten anything all day?” he chastised.
She shrugged. “I had a bagel for breakfast.”
He pulled her over to sit on the couch. “I’m glad I came then.”
“I’m really glad you did.” She grabbed a fortune cookie while he started to open the other containers. “Are you staying all night?”
He nodded. “I’m all yours. Buck is taking Christopher to the zoo tomorrow.” He dumped some rice on the plates he’d gotten out of the kitchen. “Chicken, beef, or shrimp?”
“Some of each, please.” She set the fortune cookie back down as she stood. ”I’m gonna go change out of these work clothes. I’ll be right back.”
Before Eddie could even finish dishing up the food, she returned in sweats and a shirt she’d stolen from him.
As she sat back down, she picked up and opened the fortune cookie. She pulled out the piece of paper. “‘Life will soon become interesting,’” she read. “I think it’s already plenty interesting.”
Eddie chuckled. “Yeah, where’s the one that says we get a vacation soon?”
He finished adding everything to their plates as she flipped on the television and started an episode of How I Met Your Mother.
They ate in a comfortable silence and had finished before the twenty-minute episode had ended. He set the mostly-empty plates on the table, and she shifted to curl in against his side while he wrapped his arm snugly around her shoulder.
As the credits rolled, he asked, “Bed or another episode?”
She yawned. “One more. I’m probably going to fall asleep, but I’m comfy.”
He pressed a kiss to her forehead as the TV rolled over into a new episode on its own. “As you wish, mi amor.”
She had just started to doze off when, suddenly, she was overcome with a familiar, distinct, full-body tingling sensation along with intense nausea. She quickly shifted to leaning forward on the edge of her seat. “Oh, no. No, no, no.”
Eddie reached out and placed a tentative hand between her shoulder blades. “What’s wrong?”
She stood and moved over to the empty dining room, which she kept devoid of a table and other furniture precisely for this reason. “Seizure,” she stated as calmly as she could before lying down in the middle of the floor.
“Oh, uh, okay.” Eddie was surprised, but quickly stood. He grabbed a blanket from the recliner and moved to sit beside her. He knew about her epilepsy and the medications she took for it. However, in the eighteen months they’d been dating, she’d never had a seizure. He lifted her head to slide the folded blanket underneath.
She let out a quiet whimper before her eyelids fluttered closed.
“Okay. You’re okay. I got you.” He pulled out his phone, opened the timer, and set it on the floor. He continued to whisper soft reassurances to her and started the timer as soon as she started to seize.
Despite his training and having treated patients with seizures at work, he couldn’t help but notice the way his hands shook as he carefully kept her rolled on her side. “You’re okay,” he repeated, more to reassure himself than anything. He continued to repeat it several more times as he waited for her to stop.
He felt his anxiety spike again as he watched the timer hit four minutes. He thought about what time it was, trying to figure out which shift was manning the 118 currently. He knew if she hit five minutes, he would have to call 9-1-1. As the timer rolled past four and a half minutes, her movements finally began to slow. He breathed a sigh of relief and pushed some hair out of her face as she stilled. Next, he used the corner of the blanket to wipe the saliva that had dribbled out.
For his own peace of mind, he checked her pulse, satisfied that it was steady and only slightly tachy. Next, he counted her breaths, ensuring her breathing was also back to normal. Then he sat there, running his fingers gently through her hair, and waited for her to wake.
Finally, after several minutes of anxiously waiting, she groaned.
“Hey, sweetheart. You with me?”
Slowly, she cracked her eyes open and looked around for several moments before finally landing on his face. She was clearly confused and still disoriented.
“You’re okay. You just had a seizure,” he explained. “Do you remember feeling it coming on?”
She thought for a minute before finally nodding. Groaning again, she rolled onto her back and threw an arm over her face. “Trash,” she slurred.
Eddie shifted away to grab the trash can sitting in the corner and move it beside her. “Do you want to sit up?”
“Not yet.” She lied there, trying to regain her bearings.
He took her hand in his and ran his thumb softly over her knuckles. “Anything I can do?”
“Mmmm, make the jackhammer in my head stop? And the nausea, too.” She rolled back onto her side before starting to push herself into a sitting position and pulling the trash can between her knees. “This blows.”
Leaning forward, he placed a chaste kiss on her temple. “I know. I’m sorry. Do you want something for the headache?”
“Not yet. I don’t want to puke it right back up.”
She didn’t know how long she sat there, taking slow, deep breaths in an attempt to clear the nausea. All the while, Eddie rubbed soothing circles across her back. The soreness was already starting to settle in all her muscles. Eventually, she pushed away the trash can and leaned into him.
“Ya know, this isn’t the kind of interesting I was hoping for. Stupid fortune cookie,” she grumbled.
“Me either. You think you’re ready to move?” he asked as he wrapped his arms around her gently.
“Yeah.” She nodded. He stood, and she reached a hand out for him. “Help me up?”
Instead of pulling her up, he bent down and slid one arm under her knees and the other around her back and easily lifted her. He walked slowly towards her bedroom, cautious of making the nausea worse, then set her gently on the bed. “What do you need?”
“Uh, I will take that Tylenol now. Plus, water and some Advil for in the morning, and the trash can by the bed,” she listed, then, with a pout, added, “Please?”
“Okay, I’ll be right back.”
She laid back into her pillows as she waited for him to return. Next thing she knew, she was peeling her eyes open to find Eddie beside her, rubbing a hand across her head.
“Here, take these and then you can go to sleep.” He handed her the pills and then opened a bottle of water before offering that as well.
Once she’d swallowed them, she took a few deep breaths to clear the flare of nausea. “Thank you.”
“Of course.” He pressed another kiss to her hairline.
“As much as seizures suck, it’s really nice having you here to help. I’ve just slept on the floor in there so many times because I just didn’t have the energy to move.”
“I’m glad I was here. I hate that you’ve had to go through that alone.”
“I hate that I have to go through it at all.” She sighed. “And I just broke my longest streak. At least I didn’t try to take a chunk out of my tongue.”
“Ouch.”
She nodded. “Yeah, one time, I had to get stitches from biting it so bad.”
He cringed. “That sounds awful.”
“Mmhmm,” she hummed, eyes fluttering closed. “Work is really going to suck tomorrow.”
“No, it won’t.” Eddie argued. ”You’re taking the rest of the week off.”
“I can’t!’ she declared, opening her eyes and leaning forward. “I have too many things to get done and a meeting first thing that we’ve been working toward for three weeks.”
“You just had a seizure,” he pointed out the obvious. “For the first time in, what, two years? And a long one at that. You were about twenty seconds away from a trip to the hospital. You don’t think your stress levels had something to do with this?” His tone was one of frustration, but she could tell he was just worried.
She sighed, knowing he was right. “Maybe.”
Eddie climbed into the other side of the bed and settled nearly in the middle. “So take the long weekend. Just relax and get some rest. Doctor’s orders.”
Shifting to curl into his side, she giggled. “You’re not a doctor.”
He huffed. “Medic’s orders. Is that better? Or I can call a doctor.”
“Don’t you dare.”
Rolling impossibly closer to her, he pressed one more kiss to her forehead. “Good night, mi amor.”
When she opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was her alarm clock. She was surprised to find it was nearly ten already. Slowly, she shifted onto her back and turned her head to look at the other side of the bed. She found Eddie sitting on the bed, scrolling through his phone.
“Good morning,” he greeted as he noticed she was awake. “How’re you feeling?”
“I’m okay. Just a bit sore. Which is pretty much what I expected.” She took Eddie’s hand in hers. “And maybe a little grateful that I got to sleep in and I don’t have to get up and go to work.”
He lifted her hand to kiss her knuckles. “You needed it.”
“Oh, shit!” she panicked. “I didn’t call. I missed the meeting. I’m gonna get fired!”
Eddie shushed her. “I called. Just breathe. It’s okay. I called earlier and talked to your boss. He knows you’ll be out today and tomorrow and told me to tell you to take Monday also, if you need to.”
She took a deep breath and let herself relax. “Okay. Thank you.”
“Of course. How about some breakfast?”
“Mmm. Yes, please.”
Eddie let go of her hand and got up off the bed. “Stay there. I’ll be right back.”
He disappeared out of the room, and she could hear him moving around her kitchen. A few minutes later, he returned with a plate and set it on the bed in front of her.
She looked up at him, surprised. “Since when do you make omelettes?”
“Uhh, well, never?” He laughed. “I may have called in reinforcements. Bobby dropped it off earlier. I just reheated it according to his very direct instructions.”
“Eddie! I could have just had some cereal or something. You didn’t need to make him drive over here so early on his day off.” She reached over to grab her phone off the nightstand.
“I figured you could use real food. I was going to order delivery, but Bobby offered.”
“Why would he have offered?” She opened Bobby’s contact to send him a thank you text. “Oh. You told him about last night.”
“I couldn’t fall asleep. Then they were all texting in the group thread. So when they asked why I was still up, I told them. I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have without asking you first.”
“No, it’s fine. It’s not like my epilepsy is a secret. They’re your—our— friends. I’m sure I would have told them anyway.”
He nodded. “Okay. Eat and then you can go back to sleep for a bit. If you want.”
She cut a piece off the omelette and ate it. As she chewed, she spoke, “Bobby says we’re invited over there for dinner if I’m feeling up to it. I told him we would let them know a little later today.”
“Sounds like a good plan to me.”
She took another bite of her food. “Aren’t you going to eat?”
Shaking his head, he explained, “I ate earlier.”
“Oh, right.” She glanced at the clock. “I forgot it was so late already.”
“Anything else I can get for you?”
She contemplated for a moment. “Umm, maybe a glass of apple juice?”
He disappeared from the room with a simple nod.
Soon after he returned, she finished her omelette and he took the plate into the kitchen.
“Did you want to go back to sleep?” he asked.
“How about a shower and then a movie on the couch?” she countered, throwing off the blankets she was still tucked under. As she stood, dizziness flared, causing her to sway slightly before sitting back down.
Eddie was in front of her instantly, steadying her. “How about a bath instead?”
“Sounds perfect.”

ENHYPEN uploaded a new YouTube video: PASS THE CONCH [ EP. ?? ]
Tumblr media
The camera shakes as Sora puts it in place where it’ll get a total view of her room, unfocusing and then focusing on Sora’s bare face. Her brows were furrowed before she makes eye contact with the camera and smiles, standing up and backing up.
“It’s four in the morning,” she blinks owlishly before biting back a smile. Her voice is quiet, a little above a whisper. “I think I’m the only one awake, as usual. I can’t sleep so I decided to film the next Pass The Conch episode where I show you guys the everyday life as the only female member of a co-ed group when we don’t have schedules.” She sighs, clapping her hands together quietly. “We all know that’s why some of you’re watching, anyway.” Her tone of voice sounds joking, but the brow raise lets on that she’s not.
“When I get up, I try and get in the shower right away but I already showered,” she gestures to her wet hair hanging over her shoulder. “Don’t— let your hair air dry,” she points a finger at the camera. “I’m about to blow dry mine and hopefully it doesn’t wake anyone up.”
You’re asking for a lot…
The camera fast forwards as Sora dries her hair, now sitting at her vanity and pausing every few moments. Once she finishes, she turns back to the camera and flattens her hair, acting as if the camera was her mirror. She smiles mischievously, “I’m pretty just like this, right?” She snickers, turning back to her mirror to grab her pink polka dotted headband and pushing her hair back. “Next, I do my skincare routine, which is all by the brand—”
The scene cuts.
Naughty Sora …
Sora is now covering a bottle, smiling sheepishly at the camera. “These are all ABIB products, of course.” She hides the bottle from view, now careful to not show the name. “Um, anyways …” Her eyes widen slightly as she remembers, “Oh! My music. That’s always a must in a GRWM …” She picks up her phone, tapping on it a couple of times before Taylor Swift’s To All The Girls You Loved Before starts. “I love Taylor. To me, she’s me to you guys.” She nods seriously at the camera. “I’ll get my day started with her music every single day. It’s an important factor.”
You’re great at distracting…
“Right. Skincare …” She mumbles to herself before she says, “For my skincare, I start off with a double cleanse, first with an oil cleanser and then a water-based cleanser.” The camera shows her applying the product to her face and smoothing it in before patting it dry. “Next is toner pads,” she hums along to the song playing softly in the background, picking it up with her fingertips and showing it to the camera before placing it on her cheeks and then wiping the rest of her face with it.
“There is a huge difference between toner pads and toner,” she says as she goes to the next step, which is toner, and pours a generous amount on her hand to apply to her face. “Toner pads are both a toner and exfoliant while toner doesn’t exfoliate. But, you can use only one if you want. I just prefer both because the toner pad has a rough side for gentle exfoliation and a smooth side for sheet masking. And then it’s essence.” She smacks her face a little too hard, making her flinch. “I didn't mean to hit myself that hard,” she giggles, smoothing the essence in.
There’s a soft knock on her door and she quickly pauses her music, turning and saying softly, “Come in.” Her eyes brighten subtly as she looks off the camera, a small smile on her face, “Did I wake you up? I’m sorry…” She’s cooing slightly now.
Who is it? We wanna know!
“We’ve been up for awhile,” a familiar voice says, sounding clearer to the camera at the end of the sentence. “What are you doing?”
The person pauses just out of the camera’s view and Sora stands up, her face no longer being in view.
Show us… Don’t be a tease.
There’s a couple moments of silence.
Hello? We’re still here…
Sora says a second later, “Pass The Conch new episode, wanna say hi?” She sits back down in her chair as the person bends down, finally showing their face to the camera.
A masked Jake waves at the camera before going out of view again as another voice says “We’re going to the gym, wanna come with?”
Another one…?
Sora stares up at Sunghoon, a blank look on her face before turning back to the mirror, “No. Do I look like I go to the gym?” Jake laughs loudly at her reply, “Have fun, though.”
Yes, we do want to go with you to the gym!
“You never want to go to the gym,” there’s a slight whine in Sunghoon’s voice and Sora slightly smirks at the camera before going back to her blank face. “Don’t you wanna spend time with your members?” His hand sneaks in the frame and tugs at Sora’s hair harshly, bringing her head back.
She gasps, hand going to the back of her head to smooth it back down, “I want to spend time with you! Just not at the gym.”
“You went to the gym with us that one time,” Jake says, carefully raking his fingers through her hair.
Sora smiles mischievously at the camera at the reminder as she drops the serum down on her cheeks after showing the camera the actual ABIB green bottle, “Right. You weren’t the only ones there.”
Oh, right, she was showing us her skincare routine…
“Jay was with us,” Sunghoon says, and then there’s a pause. “You only went with us because of Jay?!”
“No,” she rolls her eyes, tapping her face as she rubs the serum in. “I see you guys every day. Why would I go to the gym just to see you guys flex when I see it every day at the dorm?”
Jake gasps, offended, “We don’t flex!” but he laughs halfway into the sentence, “Why else would you—” Another pause. “Oh my God, you only went with us because—“ The camera beeps out his next words.
Sora looks stricken at their faces before trying to laugh it off, “What— no!” She looks back and forth between the boys and the camera, nervously laughing. “I was just joking. I actually didn’t go because I’m too pretty to do any hard labor.”
The scene skips again. Now, Sora’s alone again.
She smiles sheepishly, “Anyways … I always take forever because the guys always come and distract me like that.”
Nice try, Sora, but you can’t distract us this time …
The camera focuses on her smile.
Okay, maybe you can.
“I put serum on before,” she points at the bottle, “Next is moisturizer. Real talk now, though, if you don’t want to do all of this and spend a lot of money, fair enough but cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen is a must have.” She emphasizes her last words as she places the moisturizer on her knuckles and rubs it on. The camera fast forwards, her voice becoming high pitched and too quick to understand as she shows the camera her sunscreen before putting it on, including her neck, collarbones, and hands.
Talking and talking …
It goes back to normal speed, and Sora pats her skin dry with a cloth before turning to the camera, moving her face around so the camera could get all the angles of her smooth, glassy skin. She clasps her hands together, “I kind of took too long with that but I’ll do time skips!” She stands up with the camera in her hand, “Jay and I usually cook together but I think he’s still asleep, so..” She makes sure to grab her phone and puts it in her shorts pocket. “What should I make …?” She gets to the kitchen only to stop in her steps. “Um…”
She turns the camera so it could see her view, showing Jay with messy hair standing at the stove. He turns his head, smiling at her and the camera. He waves with his free hand before turning back to the stove, “Sora, you’re awake so early.” He pauses, “Did you even go to sleep?”
There’s a sheepish silence and he sighs, “Sora.”
“Oppa…” Sora tries to whine cutely, hoping it’ll get out of him telling the rest of the group and her getting scolded for it. “Everybody was asleep by the time I got back from the company and I didn’t want to wake anyone—”
“Nobody cares if you wake them up,” Jay huffs slightly, glancing at her and the camera before relenting. “Just do it next time, okay?”
“Okay…” Sora says quietly, making a face at the camera and shaking her head after Jay turns back.
“Stop,” Jay suddenly calls out and she glances around wildly, looking for who he’s talking to. “I’ll call you back when breakfast is ready, okay? Go wake the others up.”
“Um, no,” Sora frowns, having a bit of attitude in her voice, “You can go wake them up and I’ll finish breakfast.”
“We have this argument every day,” Jay sighs, setting down the spatula and walking over to her. “When will you get that you will never win this battle?”
“When will you realize that—“
The camera fast forwards.
5 minutes later…
“You guys are so loud,” Niki interrupts, squinting at the bright light in the kitchen. The camera was facing the doorway, catching sight of the other members. “You woke all of us up.” Sunoo and Jungwon follow behind him, Jungwon looking like he just woke up while Sunoo has already done his skincare routine, too.
“Where’s Heeseung-oppa?” Sora asks quickly, glancing behind the three for the oldest.
“Hi, Jungwon, how’d you sleep?” Jungwon grumbles to himself as Sunoo goes to the stove, reminding Sora and Jay of the food but Sora leaves it to Jay, pulling Jungwon out of the frame.
Oops. We all forgot about that.
“Ah…” Jay sighs, quickly going to salvage breakfast.
“What are you filming?” Niki asks, bending down to look at the camera sitting on top of the kitchen counter. He waves before pushing his hair back and standing up straight.
“Pass The Conch,” Sora says, coming back into frame again. “Ew, it’s too crowded in here.” She glances behind her shoulder, deciding to give up and let Jay handle breakfast. There was no way she wanted to deal with the boys whining that they were hungry.
She grabs the camera, “I wonder where Heeseung-oppa is,” she hums as she walks out the kitchen, leaving the others to deal with the food. “Jay-oppa and I always fight over who is going to make breakfast,” she explains, sighing. “Unfortunately, he always wins.”
“Noona,” Niki had been following her down the hallway quietly. She turns her head, the camera failing to capture her face as the hall was too dark. “Let’s go lay down.”
“I’m not ti—” Sora shuts up as Niki grabs her hand and pulls her to her room, placing the camera on her nightstand facing the opposite direction of her bed. There was rustling and Niki’s voice was heard, mumbling something to Sora. Sora sighs, “Okay, fine, but I don’t want you to sleep the whole day away.”
Did they forget about us? Again?
The camera moves, going from dark to showing Niki laying in Sora’s bed, one of his feet dangling off the bed. She giggles under her breath, zooming in on Niki’s face as he has an arm thrown over his eyes. He moves his arm, peeking an eye open at her. “Are you going to lay down?”
“I’ll fall asleep if I do.”
“Yeah, that’s kind of the whole point,” Niki says and she can’t help but laugh at the remark. “Come on.” He grabs the camera first, the view becoming blurry before it goes black. Words appear on the screen.
??? We don’t know what happened either.
The camera turns back on again, showing Sora’s shoulders and up, laying on her bed, “Niki’s asleep,” she hums, “It’s always early mornings with ENHYPEN, so I’ll let him sleep in longer. He deserves it, anyway.” There’s rustling on the bed next to her and though she doesn’t look away from the camera, she freezes. After a second, she smiles and pretends like nothing happened, “He’s back in his bed but maybe I should sleep in a little longer, too… I just don’t want to—“ A yawn from herself cuts her off. “Okay. Nevermind, I don’t want to pass out so… I will…” She yawns again. “Okay, I’ll be back in a little bit for breakfast.”
Twenty years later…
The camera goes black before Sora is staring at the camera as she smoothes her hair down. She laughs awkwardly, “I didn’t wake up for breakfast. Or lunch,” she explains as she heads down the hallway. “And no one woke me up, either.” The editors beep out whatever she says next. “It’s now four in the afternoon and I think I can hear the TV in the living room.”
Instead of walking into the living room, she enters the kitchen and sets the camera down on the counter in the corner. You can hear some of the members talking in the other room and she smiles, turning to the sink.
“I’ll make japchae for dinner later,” Sora starts rambling as she begins the process of cleaning the dishes and putting them in the rack by the sink. She begins talking about what foods the boys like, that Sunoo and Heeseung ate tteokkbokki last night while the others ate bibimbap, “I can’t stand spicy food, Heeseung-oppa and Sunoo are really the only ones that can. But I make it for them, anyway,” she smirks lightly as she puts a bowl in the rack, “The others are always whining how it’s not fair they get special treatment but.. I do the same thing for them?” She tilts her head, blinking wide-eyed at the camera. “They’re not complaining then.”
“I like the special treatment,” Heeseung had come into the kitchen without making a sound. “You just woke up, why are you already working?” He waves his hand for her to move and she makes a face at him but takes a small step back, keeping them both in front of the sink and camera.
Sora cranes her neck up to look at him, “I was relaxing while sleeping. Now I’m awake and ready to serve!” She salutes, snickering when Heeseung rolls his eyes, shaking his head at her.
“More like we’re here to serve you,” Heeseung teases, taking the plate from her hands and looking into the camera so intensely it seems sarcastic. “I only exist on this Earth to serve Jung Sora.”
Oh my … Swoon!!! What a lucky girl.
Sora smiles in satisfaction shortly before it fell, making her swat him on the arm, ignoring his faked expression of pain and hissing and talking over him, “Don’t say that, oppa. People are going to think I’m evil and make you do all my bidding.” She takes the clean plate out of his hand and places it in the rack, turning to the fridge to grab a water bottle.
As her back was turned, Heeseung nods, mouthing, ‘Yes, she does.’ before breaking the act and giggling to himself. Sora’s lips turn up without even looking back before she turns around, raising an eyebrow and saying in English, “What’s so funny?”
“You,” he replies quickly in English. “You’re the most funny person I know.”
Sora smiles, letting her shoulder touch his briefly, “I could say the same thing about you.”
We’re still here… Again.
“They’re playing Mario Kart,” Heeseung goes back to washing the dishes, as the editors edit a blush on his cheeks. “Go watch. I got this.”
Sora immediately clocks his words, brows furrowing, “You’re not playing?” When he shakes his head, she frowns, “Why not.. I like watching you play the most.” Her voice lowers to a whisper so no one would be able to hear over the boys’ yells if they were listening in.
Swoon.. She just takes all of our hearts.
“What a good dongsaeng,” Heeseung pats her on the head, gazing down at her with a look in his eye the camera couldn’t see.
Sora smiles tightly at his words, smacking the wet hand towel he had put down against his chest, “And I’m still more mature than you.” Ironically, she sticks her tongue out at him before taking the camera with her out of the kitchen. She stops in the middle of the hallway, looking into the camera, “I want to play Yaja Time just once so I can …” Her hand makes a clenching fist, but there’s a smile on her lips. The editors edit devil horns on her head.
The scene cuts.
“Jay-oppa’s making dinner instead so I’m keeping him company,” Sora’s sitting on top of the counter, only her face in view as water boiling is heard.
Heeseung’s right, what a good dongsaeng!
“We’re eating Yeolmu Naengmyeon instead, I’m excited,” She twirls a piece of her hair around her finger. “I only let Jay-oppa make dinner because he makes his better than mine.”
Jay laughs, “Not a lot of people can be better at something than you.”
Ohhh… 🥰🥰
Sora’s eyes narrow at him, but there’s a smile on her lips as she says, “Don’t try and flatter me, oppa. I’m still making breakfast tomorrow.”
“Whatever you want,” Jay hums, sounding further away from the camera this time as Sora stays in her place on the counter.
Her eyes are focused on behind the camera, assumingly on Jay. “Can I show you on camera? ENGENE would love to see their husband.” Her eyebrows raise teasingly.
My husband Jay… Sounds good.
“Husband…? Ha,” Jay chuckles, “Sure.”
Sora jumps off the counter, hurrying to his side with the camera and turns it on him. Jay looks up briefly, smiling. He’s focused on peeling an egg.
Wah… so handsome!!
“ENGENE think you’re husband material,” she says the last words in English.
“They do?” Jay smiles. “What about you?”
Huh?
Sora blinks. “What?”
“Do I seem husband material to you?” Jay asks.
Sora blinks again, “You’re nice to me and can cook… So, yes.”
Jay laughs, turning to do something, “Your husband should be more than just nice and a cook.”
Sounds good to us…
“Hey, my standards are great,” Sora points at him.
Jay shakes his head, “Okay.” He comes towards her, holding a bowl and chopsticks in his hands. “Try this.”
Sora holds her hands out for the bowl and chopsticks but he holds it out of her reach. She rolls her eyes, “Really?”
Jay smirks, nodding.
Sora huffs, reluctantly opening her mouth for the taste bite. He feeds it to her, watching her face. Her eyes brighten as she chews, hurriedly swallowing and saying, “Oppa! That was so good.”
We want to try~
Jay laughs, “You say that every time.”
“‘Cause your food is good every time,” she shoves him lightly, him barely moving. “Can’t we just eat it all and not save some for the others?”
“Don’t listen to her, hyung,” Niki’s voice is heard. “We’re hungry, too.”
“Make your own food,” Sora tells him.
“You never let me,” Niki laughs, coming into frame. “Hyung, I want to taste it, too.”
Jay hands the bowl and chopsticks to him, disappearing from frame. Niki looks at it and then looks at Sora, smiling at her and handing both to her, “Noona..”
“You’re giving me it?” She looks at it suspiciously.
“Feed it to me,” Niki nods down at the bowl.
Oh…? The maknae wants to be fed?
Sora raises her brows, “You want me to feed it to you?” He nods silently. She blinks before shrugging, taking the chopsticks and that’s the last thing the camera has a view of before something pushes it to focus somewhere else.
Huh?
“Ah, it’s good, hyung,” Niki says. Sora’s silent for a moment.
“You were jealous,” Sora teases.
Oh?? How cute!!
“No,” Niki huffs out a laugh, fixing the camera to look at them again.
Was he the one who moved the camera?
“Ah, so cute,” Sora doesn’t listen, not even trying to argue.
“I’m not,” Niki says quickly.
Don’t worry Ni-Ki, Jay will feed you too if you ask.
“Okay,” Sora shrugs.
“I’m not!”
We get it, Ni-Ki.
“I said okay,” she snickers. “Come on, go tell the others dinner’s ready.”
Sora turns to the camera to turn it off as Niki’s voice is heard again, “I’m n—”
The scene cuts.
“Do you want to play?” Jungwon’s arm moves and Sora jumps, making him smile mischievously before continuing, “You’d be better than Jay-hyung.”
Jay simply shakes his head, a small smile on his face before he asks, “Jake, did you just throw that shell out at me?”
“Yup,” Jake mutters, not taking his eye off the screen.
“Oh,” he nods, becoming silent once again.
“Dude! What the—” Jake turns his head and spots the camera and Sora, shutting up. “When did you get here?”
“Just in time to see you lose earlier,” Sora smiles as Jake’s face drops before he turns away from her. She snickers, saying to Jungwon, “Jake is worse than Jay-oppa.”
Jake’s head snaps to her, “Jake? Jake?” He asks in disbelief as Jungwon and Sora start laughing. Jay pays them no attention, probably taking the opportunity to beat Jake. “Where are your manners?”
“I must’ve lost them on the way over here,” she does something that makes Jake jerk away from her. “That’s for not taking me to the gym with you and Sunghoon.”
Jake looks around incredulously as Jungwon muffles his laughter from behind the camera, “I-I can’t believe you right now, we literally— we asked!” He looks at the camera, gesturing to it, “It was on the camera!”
Sora looks straight at the camera before looking back at him straight faced, “What camera?”
Jake groans, slumping in his seat as the other three start laughing.
The scene cuts.
“I am so full,” Sora murmurs, close up to the camera so you can only see her eyes.
“You only ate half of your food,” Sunghoon says, Sora moving the camera so it’d get both of them in the frame. They’re in Sora’s bedroom, sitting against the headboard of Sora’s bed.
“I’ll probably get hungry in the middle of the night again,” she says, handing something to him. She adjusts the camera to sit on her bedside table. “Turn it on, oppa!”
“I’m doing it,” Sunghoon huffs, “Three years and still no patience,” he flicks her on the shoulder lightly. She rolls her eyes lightheartedly, but a smile is still on her face.
“I’ve been watching a lot of The Simpsons lately,” Sora explains to the camera. Sunghoon turns to look at her for a moment before turning back away. “Did you know The Simpsons predicted a lot of things before it even happened.”
Sunghoon stares at her again, “Do you think they’re going to respond to you?” He looks between her and the camera.
“They’re a better conversationalist than you are,” Sora says without missing a beat.
“Yah!”
Favorite past-times: Taking care of others and teasing them simultaneously.
Sora giggles, turning back to the camera, “I don’t think we can show the episode..” Sunghoon’s already slouching on her bed, laying down so the viewers can barely see the top of his head, “I’ll be back to get ready for bed.”
The scene cuts.
The room is dark but the viewers can see Sora’s shadow moving until the camera is picked up, “Sunghoon-oppa fell asleep,” she giggles quietly, pointing the camera to the top of Sunghoon’s face, the viewers only able to see his closed eyes. “I should draw on his face, right? It’s only fair since he fell asleep on me.” The editors edit devil horns on her head and put the audio of an evil witch laugh over her real laugh.
The scene cuts.
“I’m escaping the dorms,” Sora laughs, a pink and white cat beanie on her head with a white Sanrio mask covering her lower face. “Sunghoon-oppa woke up, and I don’t want to be there when he realizes I drew on his face.” She giggles to herself, looking behind her. “Ah, someone’s following me..”
What??
“Yah! I know seven men that will come and beat you up!” She suddenly yells, still looking behind her. The viewers can see the silhouette of a person behind her.
Sora??? What are you doing???
Sora giggles as the person comes closer, “So scary,” the person teases, revealing their face to the camera.
Jungwon? What are you doing here???
“They’re all strong,” Sora and Jungwon snicker, before Sora continues, “You wouldn’t want to meet them. Especially this one guy, he’s a bit younger than me.. He’s really weird. He thinks he’s a cat.”
Jungwon hisses at her and she laughs, pulling her mask down to her chin.
“Just kiddinggg,” she says in English, dragging the last word out, looping her arm through his. “You’re cute, Wonnie.”
“Thank you,” he side-eyes her, and she’s practically cheesing at him. Her hand comes up to squeeze his cheeks, and although he bats her away the first few times, he eventually lets her. “What are you doing out here by yourself? It’s dangerous.”
Sora’s eyes roll, “I was waiting for that. Is that why you followed me out here?”
“Yes,” Jungwon nods, looking around, “I’ll claw at anyone who tries to bother you.”
Sora laughs, right as a phone starts to ring. Sora looks down and grabs her phone, giggling when she looks at the screen, “Ah… He found out,” she starts to turn the phone around before Jungwon quickly grabs her wrist, stopping her from showing the camera her screen. “Oh. Sunghoon-oppa is calling,” she says, quickly silencing the call.
“Why? What’d you do?” He side-eyes her.
Sora grins, “He fell asleep while we were watching The Simpsons so I drew on his face.”
Jungwon laughs, looking around them again, “I hope you took a picture.”
“Duh!” She laughs, showing him her phone screen again after tapping it a few times. Jungwon bursts into laughter, making her giggle. “I won’t show it to protect his image but..” She looks at her phone again, “He looks handsome even with a mustache and unibrow.” The two start cackling again.
Her phone starts binging every few moments, the two making eye contact before giggling again.
All they do is laugh and have fun with each other. Getting jealous here…
“Let’s not stay out too late,” Jungwon says, looking around.
This is the third time you’ve looked around.. Are you expecting someone?
Sora nods, looking around, too. “It’s getting colder the later it gets, I’m already shivering.” She looks at the camera, “We’re going to head back to the dorm. Will you help me sneak in without Sunghoon-oppa seeing me?” She looks at Jungwon.
Jungwon hums, pretending to think about it, “Sit next to me tomorrow and I will.”
“Deal,” she grins cutely, turning to the camera. “See you~” The two wave goodbye.
The scene cuts.
Sora’s holding the camera in her hand as she brushes her teeth, the editors speeding the clip up. It only slows down when she’s getting ready to get her skincare items out of her vanity in her room. They catch a knock on the door, and Sora’s smiling before she says, “Come in!”
Another surprise visit?
“Hi,” Sunoo comes into frame, waving with a bag in his other hand. His hair is tied up out of his face. He turns to Sora, “Can we do our skincare together?”
Ah, hello Sunoo~
Sora smiles, “Duh.” She moves over in her chair and Sunoo sits next to her, getting out his own skincare. “Sunoo and I do our skincare together all the time,” she says as she applies what seems to be cleanser. “I actually got some of my products from him as a gift,” she giggles and the camera catches Sunoo’s blushing cheeks. The editors add more blush to his cheeks.
So cute…
“Tomorrow we have a schedule so sleep early,” Sunoo says as the editors speed through their routine. “And if you can’t sleep, come to my room.”
Sunoo is so sweet.. 🥲
Sora smiles, looking at Sunoo through the mirror, “Oh? Why would I come to your room?”
Sunoo looks at her in shock from her reply before his face contorts, “You know why.”
Sora can’t help but laugh at his face, nodding, “I know.” Sunoo looks satisfied towards the camera.
The two continue in silence before Sora breaks it again.
“You know I’m probably not going to sleep, right?”
Sunoo laughs, “I know. I’m just saying to be polite.” Sora grins, shaking her head at him.
So you say… ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
She turns to the camera, showing off her glassy, bare face. “I want to try a new eye makeup look whenever we don’t have a schedule again, and I think I’ll record it,” she says, and when Sunoo doesn’t respond, she looks at him.
“Oh, you were talking to me?” Sunoo looks surprised.
“Who else?” Sora thumps him on the arm lightly.
“The camera!” He laughs, “What are you wanting to do?”
“Ah, I’ll show you,” she grabs her phone from the side, taking a few moments to show him. “I saw it on—” she looks at the camera and hesitantly says, “— This photo app.” Sunoo laughs at her trying to censor the app name.
“Ah, you’ll look like a fairy,” Sunoo comments, smiling at her phone and then at Sora, making eye contact with her. “A pretty fairy.”
Sora laughs, avoiding eye contact and practically snatches her phone back from his hand, “Ha, ha, yeah…” Sunoo, again, looks at the camera smugly. “Show them an upclose view of your face,” she suddenly says, tugging on his shirt slightly, “before we go.”
“Oh, okay,” Sunoo mumbles as he gets closer to the camera, showing the viewers all angles.
Sora can’t be seen, but she says, “Sunoo’s so handsome, right, ENGENE?”
“Okay, okay..” He rushes back to his spot, cheeks flushed and she laughs.
Pretty and handsome best friends! We’re jealous.
“The editors are going to have to cut so much of this,” Sora says, looking at the camera. “It’s time for bed,” Sunoo laughs, and she smiles, “I’m going to try and sleep. ENGENE, make sure to stay healthy. We love you.” She leans back and makes half a heart on the side of her face, Sunoo quickly completing it. “Bye~”
Bye~ 👋

Spring Night Routine
🍃🫧*ੈ✩‧₊˚🌙
My current Spring night routine, that hopefully inspires you guys and gives you some structure and ideas on how you can plan out your seasonal night routine this Spring ༓ ☾.。*゚+
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
6PM - I try to finish all *work* and projects for the day, I try not to go on my phone so much as the evening goes on ♡
6:30PM - I either have an evening shower and take off my makeup/do my skincare early so I can spend the rest of the evening doing wind-down activities and getting ready for the night. I put my pyjamas on and light a candle in my room so that it smells fresh and lovely when I go back in later ♡
7:00PM - I’ll have a late dinner and usually watch an episode of something comforting whilst I eat. Sometimes this can also be a movie, any Spring seasonal movie of an evening makes me so happy and reminds me it’s this time of year. This is also when I’ll either have a sweet treat or snack or something I’ve either bought from the bakery or baked myself in the day. I know it’s not good to eat late, especially sugar but I try to leave a good gap between the time I eat and the time I go to sleep ♡
8:00/8:30PM - I will go back into my bedroom and put some classical music on or lullaby instrumentals as I find they make me feel the most relaxed and sleepy. Then I give my room a once over tidy so it’s clean when I wake up in the morning. I pick out an outfit for the next day and either lay it out or hang it up ♡
9:00PM - I’ll brush my hair out one last time for the day and tie it back to sleep in. Then I’ll write my to-do list for the next day (usually at my desk with the candle until I blow it out) I also journal for around 15 minutes, just about how my day was ♡
9:30PM/10:00PM - I will either spend some time with my parents before I go into my own room, get into bed and watch an episode of something comforting (usually Anime) read until I feel sleepy, then I go to sleep ♡
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I hope you liked this Spring Night routine, I’ll upload my current Morning routine soon. Sending love and whimsical wishes to you all ☽
All my love…

Karlach and Tav cleared out a large area of the camp to give themselves plenty of space. Wyll and Astarion went to fetch the large stash of various weapons they had collected along their journey for them to choose from. Everyone else gathered around, admiring their makeshift arena.
“Alright gang, here’s the rules!” Karlach’s voice was full of excitement. “The challenger gets to decide which weapon Tav gets to use against them. No magic!” She looked at Gale, whose shoulders slumped slightly. “If anyone disarms her, they win!” Karlach was talking so fast, obviously anxious to get to the sparring.
“Wait, what exactly are we winning?” Shadowheart asked.
“I don’t know…you just…you win!” Karlach shouted back. Shadowheart just shrugged in response. “If Tav knocks you down before you’re able to disarm her, she wins.”
Tav took her place at one end of the sparring zone, she couldn’t help but feel a little excited.
“Okay then…who’s first?” She yelled out the challenge. Shadowheart started to move forward, but Karlach plowed past her, knocking over everyone and everything in her way.
“ME!” She yelled, radiating pure joy. “Don’t worry Soldier. I’ll be gentle.”
“And my weapon?” Tav asked, smiling back at her.
“Take the greatsword.” She replied, grabbing her own greataxe.
They took their positions standing opposite of one another. Tav steadied her breathing, never taking her eyes off of Karlach. She took a relaxed ready position, her greatsword held low at her side, waiting. Karlach’s lips twitched into a half smile as she let out a roaring scream. Now.
Karlach had a few moments when she entered her rage where she was most vulnerable. Usually, Tav would take those moments to protect her in a fight, but not today. The second the yell left her lips, Tav lunged at her. She reached her friend just before her rage started to take effect. Tav brought her sword up to catch her greataxe in just the right spot where it caught onto her blade. She twirled around the front of Karlach, ripping the axe from her hands before she could strengthen her grip. Disarmed, she would be much easier to topple. Tav kicked the weapon away, forcing Karlach to decide whether she would push forward attacking, or risk turning her back to grab her weapon. She chose to attack, of course. She took a step towards Tav, arm extending to try and wrestle her sword from her grasp. Tav let one of her wrists lag behind her as she moved away and Karlach took the bait. She turned so her back was facing Karlach, her arm wrapped around Tav, still holding her wrist. Still off balance from lunging at her, Tav was able to throw her weight forward and send Karlach tumbling to the ground in front of her. She moved to stand over her, hovering the tip of her greatsword above Karlach’s chest.
“Dead.” Tav said, smiling down at her. Their fellow companions clapped and let out a few cheers.
“Fucks’ sake, mate.” Karlach said, laughing. Tav offered her hand to help her up from the ground.
Wyll was already taking Karlach’s place as she was finally standing up.
“Let’s see how you handle a weapon that takes a little more finesse.” Wyll teased. He tossed a rapier towards Tav. She caught it by the hilt and gave Wyll a knowing smile. He knew she relied mostly on her strength to overpower opponents. She handed Karlach the greatsword as she sauntered back over to the others.
They stood only ten or so paces apart. Wyll gave a low bow, always the gentleman. Tav couldn’t help but laugh in response, returning the gesture. He began to move around her, his quick and graceful steps were much harder to anticipate than Karlach’s stomping. She opted to stay in one place, slowly turning her body to keep aligned with Wyll’s. He suddenly lunged at her. The swift fluid motion was perfectly timed with his steps. Tav moved her blade to block the attack, swatting it to the side. She made a couple of slashing movements that looked clumsy compared to his, trying to keep Wyll on his toes. She knew if she could wear him down, she would get an opening. He continued to dance around her, every now and then attempting a flourishing swipe at her. After a few minutes, she noticed a slight change in his breathing, and he slightly lost his balance trying to feign a step towards her. Gotcha. She took the opportunity to step to the side, just out of reach of his blade. Once clear of his sword’s arc, she ran to get behind him. Before he knew it, her foot was colliding with the back of his knees. He let out a small yell before dropping to his knees. She kicked his blade out of his hand and jumped in front of him. She smiled and pointed the sharp tip of the rapier at his throat, other hand on his shoulder.
“Dead.”
Wyll pursed his lips in response, but smiled as he took her hand to help him off the ground. More clapping and cheers from the sidelines brought another smile to her face. Astarion let out a loud whistle.
Gale was the next one to take the challenge, holding two quarterstaffs, he made his way to stand across from her.
“Gale, what are you doing? Tav could kill you with her bare hands, let alone with a weapon.” Karlach teased.
“Kill him Tav! Kill him! It would be so funny!” Astarion yelled, making himself laugh so hard he fell off of the barrel he was sitting on. Roaring laughter came from everyone else at the sight. There was no way to deny it now, Tav was having a very good time.
Gale gave her a slightly concerned look. She shook her head slightly, reassuring him that she would not in fact, kill him.
“Quarterstaff.” He said, tossing the extra staff her way. She caught it in one hand and twirled it above her head. She gripped the staff with both hands and held it out in front of her.
Gale took a small step back, getting into a low, defensive stance. He knew he wouldn’t be able to overpower her, she would have to draw him out or go to him. Gale was deadly quick with his spells but was no match for Tav in hand-to-hand combat. She held the staff in her right hand and sprinted forward. Gale held his position, preparing himself for her impact. When she was a few steps out, she jumped and lifted the staff over her head. She tried to aim at the end of his staff to throw him off balance. He moved at the last second and caught her strike right in the center of his own staff with a loud crack. Tav raised her eyebrows at him, she was rather impressed with that block. However, Gale seemed all too happy for the silent praise and lost his concentration for a moment. It was just enough time for her to spin around the other side of him and sweep his legs out from under him using her staff.
“Very dead.” She said with a laugh, her quarterstaff gently resting on his chest.
“Just drag me away. My knees will never let me get up from this.” Gale simply held his arms up waiting for someone to move him. Tav continued to laugh as Karlach came over to help pick him back up onto his feet.
From the corner of her eye, she saw Shadowheart moving in to claim the next round.
“Mace and Shield.” She said, already equipped with a spear and shield.
Clever, Tav thought to herself with a smile. Shadowheart was cunning, she knew that if both of Tav’s hands were tied up she would have a harder time grappling anything away from her. She walked over to the pile of weapons, grabbing a simple mace and shield.
“Wait, we can use shields?!” Gale yelled from his seat. Tav laughed in response.
“I’ll allow it.” She said, already trying to anticipate Shadowheart’s movements.
They circled each other, each tracking the other’s movements carefully. The shield added more weight that could easily fatigue her, so she would have to make this quick. Tav decided to make the first move. She needed to test the range Shadowheart had with that spear. As expected, Shadowheart lunged at her as soon as she reached the very edge of her range. Tav turned to the side to avoid being hit by the spear. As it rushed past her, Tav had the perfect opportunity to smack the shaft of the spear away with her shield. Shadowheart was able to maintain her grip on the weapon, but she was thrown off balance. Tav was able to take another step forward, putting her within range to strike with her mace. Using her momentum from her shield bash, Tav spun back around to strike Shadowheart’s shield. She hit the edge of the shield with a loud crunching sound. Shadowheart let out a grunt and her shield went flying off to the side. The sudden movement caused Shadowheart to twist away from Tav, giving her an opening. She hit the middle of the spear, causing Shadowheart to fumble and fall to the ground. Tav pinned her spear hand to the ground, mace still held high.
“Dead.” Tav said, still standing over her. Shadowheart gave an approving smile before wincing suddenly. Tav looked over to the arm that had been holding the shield to see her forearm horribly bruised, and slightly disfigured.
“Shit! Oh shit! Shit, shit! I’m so sorry, Shadowheart.” Her excitement disappeared as she stared at the injury, tears stinging her eyes. She jumped up, releasing her other arm. Carefully, she leaned Shadowheart back up off of the ground. Tav was breathing more heavily now and starting to feel some heaviness in her arms from the first few rounds of sparring.
“It’s alright, Tav, really. These things happen when we’re fighting, even during practice. Besides, I can take care of this easily.” She gave her a reassuring smile. Halsin was making his way towards them.
“Allow me.” He said, kneeling to their level. His familiar healing incantation prompted the warm soothing magic to fill the air around them. Tav watched as Shadowheart’s arm returned to its normal color and shape. Unexpectedly, she felt the healing surge over to her as well, taking away some of the soreness in her muscles. She looked at Halsin, who gave her a quick wink. It caused her heart to skip a beat.
“See? Nothing to worry about.” He said, helping Shadowheart up to her feet.
“Maybe we should stop…” Tav said, her guilt causing her chest to tighten.
“Of course not, darling!” Astarion jumped to his feet. “We haven’t all had a chance to best you yet, don’t tell me you’re scared.” He flashed a teasing smile at her.
“I…I don’t want to hurt anyone.” Tav folded her arms in front of her chest.
“Oh come on, Soldier. Shadowheart’s fine! We were just starting to have fun.” Karlach complained from her seat.
“I’ll go next, I know you won’t hurt me.” Astarion’s tone was teasing, but Tav could see something else in his expression too. It was important to him that they keep doing this.
“Okay then,” she said with a deep breath, “what weapon?” She smiled back at him.
“Weapons.” Astarion responded, his expression was pure mischief. “Pick any two you like, my sweet.”
She went over to the mess of weapons and picked up two shortswords. Astarion was holding both of his daggers, crouched and ready to strike.
Tav moved back to her starting spot. She held the two swords out in front of her, their light weight a relief from the previous round. She knew she would have to watch him closely. Astarion was fast. Tav knew him well, but he also knew her. She would either have to wait for him to tire himself out or lure him into a false sense of security. Astarion moved first, dashing towards her quickly. She sidestepped his attack, taking a swing at his arm using the flat side of her blade. He easily evaded her swipe. He continued running back and forth, making small slashes at her swords, trying to get them out of her grip. She feigned a move to her right, luring Astarion to her side. He looked confident, likely thinking that she had tripped. Tav waited for his signature twirling move he did with his daggers when he was sure he was going to hit something. That was when his grip was weakest. As soon as she saw the dagger flash, her foot came up to collide with his wrist, causing him to drop the small blade. He let out a small chuckle as he rubbed his hand and wrist.
“Oh darling, I didn’t want to have to do this to you.” He shook his head slightly, a playful smile on his lips.
“I’m sure I can take it, love.” She responded, keeping her voice as innocent as possible.
To her surprise, he placed his dagger back on his belt and started walking over towards her. He had a very serious, sultry look on his face. Tav felt herself smiling like a fool. She shook her head fondly, she knew exactly what he was doing.
Astarion stopped right in front of her, in a position where she could easily topple him over, but she decided to play along for a moment. He reached out and placed one hand on her hip, and the other on her cheek. She leaned into his touch a little, but also subtly moved her left leg to be in between his.
“Oh, look at you melting into my touch.” His voice was as sweet as honey. “I sometimes forget how devastatingly beautiful you can be when you’re fighting. The way your skin gleams, that…intense look in your eyes.”
“Boooo! Go back to fighting!” Karlach yelled from the sidelines, eliciting a laugh from the others.
Tav did not miss the fact that the hand by her hip had moved ever so slightly towards her sword’s hilt. But she felt Astarion relax slightly as he stroked her cheek. There it is, she thought to herself. She hooked her readily positioned leg around his and kicked it back hard. The look of surprise on his face was worth every second of his silly teasing. His legs flew out from under him, and he fell to the ground with a loud thump, seemingly knocking the wind out of him. Tav smiled and kneeled over him, pinning the hand still holding a dagger to the ground with her knee. She crossed the two shortswords over his neck. His smile widened – he was enjoying this.
“Nice try. Still dead.” Tav whispered. She gave him a quick kiss on his nose before standing back up. He took her outstretched hand, taking a small bow after he stood up. More cheers and laughter came from their companions.
“Well, my dear, we have to use all of our strengths after all.” He turned to go and sit next to the others.
She kept smiling as she watched him walk away, realizing that he may have suggested this entire spectacle to try and cheer her up. And it worked.
While she was staring after Astarion, Tav failed to notice that Lae’zel had made her way out of the small group to face her. She was a little surprised as the indifferent githyanki usually avoided their group activities. Tav smiled at her and gestured to the weapons off to the side.
“Which weapon, Lae’zel?” Tav asked.
“Pick what you would like, elf. It makes no difference to me.” Her tone was cool and steady.
“Very well.” Tav responded, her smile fading. She went back to her greatsword to match Lae’zel’s.
Lae’zel’s strength rivaled her own. She was cold and calculating in a fight and was not known for her mercy. The strange thing was that she didn’t seem to want any mercy either. Tav carefully took her place in front of Lae’zel, taking a moment to slow her breathing. They stood there staring each other down for a few moments, when Lae’zel finally lunged towards Tav.
Tav swung her blade up to catch Lae’zel’s first swing. The metal rang in the quiet air. They held their position, staring at each other through the crossed blades. Tav pushed Lae’zel away with a grunt. Lae’zel made a large, slashing swipe at Tav, causing her to jump back. Luckily, Lae’zel was caught a little off balance, giving Tav a chance to recover. She lunged at the githyanki, aiming a low blow with the flat side of her blade. Lae’zel was barely able to swing her sword back around to block her. Tav recovered quickly, bringing her blade back up to try and make a hit to loosen Lae’zel’s grip on her weapon. She lifted her hands at the last second to avoid the blow. They each aimed another powerful swing at the other, causing their blades to meet directly in front of them again. As they held their swords crossed at their faces, the muscles in their arms began to shake under the strain. Tav broke away suddenly in an attempt to force Lae’zel off balance again. She recovered quickly, but not before Tav was able to kick the side of Lae’zel’s thigh.
“Chk.” Lae’zel hissed toward Tav.
Tav immediately went in for another hit, this time aiming for her arm. Lae’zel parried her swing, bringing her own blade down on Tav. Tav was almost able to move out of the way, but the sword’s edge grazed her left arm, leaving a shallow gash. She winced in pain, almost losing grip on her sword, but her right hand maintained its hold. Tav did have to bend over slightly while trying to keep her balance and keep her weapon in her hand. Lae’zel was standing in front of her, sword held high, moving to strike. Tav kneeled at the last second, catching Lae’zel’s attack with her sword. The impact sending pain up her already injured arm. Her strength faltered slightly, and Lae’zel pressed her advantage. With Tav close to the ground, Lae’zel pushed all of her weight into her sword, causing Tav’s hand to slip slightly and slice across the edge of Lae’zel’s sword. The sight of blood running down Tav’s arm and their blades did not give Lae’zel any pause. She was starting to worry that Lae’zel wouldn’t let up even if she yielded or dropped her weapon. Tav took a couple of quick breaths and very quickly rolled out of the lunge she had trapped herself in. Lae’zel fell forward, almost hitting the ground, but used her sword to catch herself. Tav spun around with one leg, sweeping Lae’zel’s feet out from under her, causing her to land flat on her back.
Tav slowly stood up and walked over to her, holding her greatsword just over her throat in her uninjured hand.
“Dead.” Tav said. This time, there weren’t any laughs or cheers from her companions, just a few murmurs and awkward claps.
“Chk. Make it so then.” Lae’zel said up to her.
“That’s not how we do things here, Lae’zel.” Tav said, trying not to show how exhausted she was now. She dropped her sword to the side and offered Lae’zel her hand. She promptly refused and got up on her own. Tav gave a small nod and turned to walk away towards the rest of the camp. Suddenly, Astarion’s voice called out to her.
“Tav! Look out!”
His warning came just a moment too late as she felt a sharp pain across the back of her head, it brought tears to her eyes. Her vision swam momentarily, but she soon realized that Lae’zel had hit her with the pommel of her sword. She fell to one knee, trying to shake off the pain. It was barely a second later before Astarion and Karlach were standing over her. Karlach was pulling Lae’zel away from Tav as Astarion huddled over her protectively, daggers drawn. The others came running over right after. They managed to wrestle the large sword from Lae’zel’s hands.
“Kainyank!” Lae’zel growled at Tav. “We still carry ghaik parasites and yet you waste our day with this useless game!”
At this point, Tav had managed to stand back up. Astarion stepped forward so that he was slightly between her and Lae’zel.
“You stop to help every mewling istik we pass. We could have been here over a tenday ago if you would not insist on using us all to fulfill some hero’s purpose! You trust a ghaik with our lives, our futures!” Lae’zel let out a frustrated yell as she tore her arms away from Karlach and Wyll.
“You have no right to lead us. Your weakness will be the ruin of us all. I will have no part of it.” She moved towards Tav again, fists held up and ready to fight.
Unable to hold back her frustration any longer, Tav yelled and dove towards Lae’zel. She caught her right around the waist and tackled her to the ground. Lae’zel fought her, but Tav had the advantage. She was able to grapple Lae’zel into a chokehold of sorts.
“Stand down, Lae’zel!” She shouted.
Lae’zel struggled against her grip, scratching her long nails on Tav’s arms. She caught the small gash in her arm from earlier, causing Tav to cry out in pain. The cut on her hand was still bleeding and Tav felt Lae’zel starting to squirm free of her clutches, headbutting Tav in the process. She decided to let go, hoping she could roll out of the way before she took another hit to the head. But once she was free, Lae’zel simply rolled away from her.
She stood up and glared at Tav. With one final growl, she turned on her heels and stormed away from the group.
Astarion helped Tav to her feet as all eyes turned to her. Her head was pounding, she could feel blood running from her nose, and her vision was a little blurry. Although she couldn’t tell if her vision was struggling from the hits she took or the tears.
“I uh,” she stammered, still trying to fight off the dizzy feeling, “I think we should call it a day.”
Astarion gently wiped a trail of blood from her face with his sleeve.
“I think you need some healing, my dear.” He said gently.
“No I…” She could barely think straight. “I just want to go and clear my head. I’ll uh, I’ll be back soon.” She turned away before anyone could respond and started walking towards the trees at the edge of camp.
***
Astarion watched as Tav sulked off into the trees. She wouldn’t talk with anyone about it, but he knew she was starting to feel the weight of being their assigned leader. He couldn’t imagine that he helped with that, being one of the rowdy vagabonds she was trying to manage. He wanted to help her, really, he did, but he had no idea where to start. Everything was going so well today until the fight with Lae’zel. He didn’t think he had ever seen Tav laugh so much. A moment after she disappeared from his sight, he saw Halsin start to walk after her. For some reason, he felt a small spike of pain in his chest watching him follow her. He was relatively certain that Halsin wanted to be with Tav. It was obvious in the way he talked to her, how he hung on to her every word and watched her walk away for just a moment too long. He trusted Tav, but he still couldn’t help but feel a little upset at the two of them together alone. While he was hopelessly pining and fighting off waves of jealousy, Karlach had somehow managed to sneak up on him.
“Hey soldier…” She was trying to be quiet yet still managed to be the loudest person in the camp. “Maybe you should go and check on Tav. Since you two are…you know…”
Astarion shot her a look “What? Together?”
“Sure. I was gonna say ‘fucking’ but same thing really.” Karlach shrugged.
“Ugh must you be so vulgar?” Astarion said, rolling his eyes. “Besides we’re not…I mean we haven’t since…” He suddenly felt flustered. “It doesn’t matter. I wouldn’t even know what to say anyway. I’m not exactly skilled in the art of comforting others.” He looked up again to see Halsin disappearing into the trees.
“Aw come on, Fangs. I’ve really been rooting for you two. Besides, from what I gather from Tav, you’re very skilled at the art of– ” He shot her another look that cut her off abruptly, and she tried to hide a smile. “Sometimes all you need to do is be there, even if you don’t know what to say.” Karlach nudged him slightly with her elbow.
“Halsin will be able to help her much more than I could.” He responded, surprised by how sad admitting that made him. He shook off the feeling, and instead turned to where Lae’zel was standing near her tent.
“Besides…” He started, his temper rising, “I think maybe Lae’zel and I need to have a friendly little chat.”
“Fuck yes.” Karlach whispered under her breath, following closely behind Astarion.

“Hey y/n!” You turned around to see the ginger haired who posted the picture about you. “Oh hi Childe” you waved while he took the opportunity to sit down besides you. “Congratulations on your win at the cafe you work at.” He flashed you a big smile.
“Oh thank you, what brings you here?” You returned back the smile, sipping on your coffee. “Well I wanted to try your infamous cherry sugar pie.” He glanced down at your muffin. “Is it that your chocolate banana muffin?” You nodded.
Before you could say anything, he snatched it up and took a huge bite of the muffin.
Right where you already bitten into.
Your mouth flew open but nothing came up. “I’ll invite you and your friend group to my party. Hopefully you’ll be there” he emailed again before leaving the cafe walking in the opposite direction.

Episode 1
Tumblr media
“You ever thought high school would be easy?” My mom looked up from her phone to answer me. “Oh no sweetheart. I always thought it was going to be hard.” At least I’m tying to look for some hope before high school starts. I look down at the table just being lost in my thoughts until my mom puts a plate of food in front of my face. “Thanks mom.” I said then begun to eat.
When I finished with my food, I went upstairs to lay in my bed. My eyes started to burn but I didn’t really feel sleepy. As the time rolls around 9pm, i decided to go on my laptop and watch some videos. I really dont have friends. They all left me for some reason. I guess i was boring? They were bad friends anyways. I have online friends but I dont want to talk to them right now.
My cat just lays on the floor by my feet. 2 hours pass by and i start to feel tired. I get up and change into my pjs then lay in my bed. My eyes slowly began to fall as i feel my cat snuggle by my feet. I hope that tomorrow will be a good first day of high school.

Well, i woke up not good. My body hurts and i really dont know why. My mom was yelling at me saying i was late and now…“ I CANT BELIEVE YOU SLEPT THROUGH 3 OF YOUR ALARMS Y/N!” Yeah…she still is. I didn’t say nothing back and just let her continue. Soon, we were close the school and she was talking about basic high school stuff. Once we’re here, i unbuckle my seat belt and open the door to leave. “Oh and! No talking to boys! No boys!” I turn around towards her and smirk, “wasn’t planning on to mom!” I watch her drive off and smile to myself. “That’s because i like girls…”
When i reached the main doors, i took a look around. “Why is this school so big?” “I know right!?” I jump back in fear. I turn my full view onto the person next to me. Holy shit. Who sneaks up on someone like that? “Oh sorry! I didn’t mean to scare you!” The random girl apologized. I dont give 2 shits though. “Um yeah…it’s whatever.” I say, the girl smiles at me, man she’s pretty. “I’m Ning Yi Zhuo but just call me Ning!” She takes out her hand for me to shake and i do. “This is my 2nd year here and I’m still not use to how big it is…are you new here?” Ning asks me. “Um yeah actually, i just got here and yes, i do know where my classes are.” She smiles at me. “Great! I’ll see you around! The bell is about to ring!” Ning runs off. I actually don’t know where my classes are, i just don’t want to talk to people right now. I walk inside the school doors and turn the corner to see some boys already fighting. “Man it’s too early for this shit..”
After running around this whole school, i bump into someone who was clearly right in front of me…why am i so blind? I should really get glasses. I look up and see this girl with short hair. Damn, shes cute, why are there so many cute girls here?! “Oh im so sorry!” She said and i shake my head, “no it’s my fault, I wasn’t watching where i was going!” God this is embarrassing. “It’s fine!” She says, we stand there in silence. “Uh, sorry i got to go!” I ran out of that situation the fastest i can. Where the fuck can I find this class?
I soon found the class. Should i go in? Class ends in 10 minutes. As I’m deciding, the door swings open and a student walks by me. I look inside and the teacher is staring at me. “Sorry I’m…late?” You know, it really looks like i was skipping from the teachers point of view. “I’m sorry, im new here? I was having trouble finding my class…” the teacher only looks at me. The fuck? Bitch speak. I give him a side eye and go sit on an empty desk, hopefully it wasn’t that persons desk that just left right now. The teacher continues on with his lesson, im not sure what class this even is. I turn to the right of me a see this girl with light pinkish hair. All she does is smile at me and looks up to the teacher.
The bell rings, i get up from my chair and grab my bag. Before i could take a step out the classroom, someone calls for me. “Hey! You!” I turn around to see that pinkish haired girl from before. “Yeah?” I respond to her, “I’m Rei, what’s your name?” Her voice is pretty, “oh um im y/n!” I say awkwardly. Omg my voice cracked, im going to die now. “Pretty name, you’re like really pretty! You like to sing or dance?” It feels so overwhelming what she just said, my name pretty? me being pretty? “Yeah i really love singing!” I itched my neck. Great i look like a fool who doesn’t know how to talk. “That’s great! Me and my friends are trying to gain members for this music competition and id like for you to join!” She says while pulling something out of her backpack to give it to me, it’s a flyer. “See you around!” She walks off. I look down at the flyer she gave me.
Tumblr media
Wow…the girl on the flyer is really beautiful….like really. Wait, they don’t even have what day!? I guess I’m going to have to message them. I put the flyer into my backpack and go to my next class.
Tumblr media
The rest of the day was boring. No one interesting in my classes, rude ass teachers, and nasty lunch. Didn’t expect to the lunch to be this shit when this school is so big. So now I’m in my bed just laying down waiting for my mom to come home. I think high school will be easy, like what’s even going to happen this year? My life is boring.

DEFINITELY WILL
Summary:bam meeting one of the playbunnys. Based of season 3 episode 1 of viva la bam
Pairing:bam margera x reader
Word count:1032
Tumblr media
I hear loud shouting coming from the gate and I look outside my window and see 3 men 2 of them seem my age and the other man is around 50 maybe shouting into the speaker that he wants to meet Hugh Hefner
Every tourist always comes to the mansion thinking they can just walk in so it’s nothing new but a black car pulls up and a very handsome man jumps out followed by his friends he looks oddly familiar but I can’t place his face
There’s no point me watching them from my window all they will end up doing is getting security called and get taken away. I finish getting ready and head downstairs when one of the girls pulls me towards the front door.
“There’s some boys here and you need to give them a little tour”
“Why me?”
“Because I don’t want to they have a weird man with them plus you are play bunny of the year. Good luck” she walks of after giving my ass a quick slap
Might as well get it over with
I step outside and see that the boys from outside earlier have been let in but the man has been tied up with tape to a weelchair.
“Hi boys” I say my eyes stuck on the handsome boy. “I’m y/n I’ll give you a little tour if you want”
For a couple seconds they all stared at me before someone answers” hi y/n I’m bam this is don vito he doesn’t understand the difference between a good touch and a bad touch so we’ve had to tie him up”
“Alright I’ll be careful standing too close to him” as I turn away I already see his hand reaching out before being restricted by the tape.
Bam catches up and walks next to me. “ me and my friends are building a Drive way skate park and we’re looking for a few things from famous people.”
Well how about after this tour I can see if you find anything for you” I stand even closer so my arm brushes against his when we walk.
I can’t keep my eyes off him his dark hair and blue eyes especially his rockstar attitude just make me like him even more
“That would be great thank you”.
Right as we get to the pool I feel a big hand squeeze at my bum which makes me jump a bit since I already know it’s from don Vito.
Before I can say anything they put his wheelchair on the ground so he’s stuck there and as they all brag about being able to go see the other girls bam gently takes my hand and pulls me along with him and his friends
After showing them around more and introducing them to some of the other bunnies i beckon bam over and he follows me into the mansion.
“I have just the thing for you” I hope this doesn’t come across rude but why do you need this for a drive way skate park”
I see his eyes shoot up to meet mine and he goes a shade of red since I caught him staring “ oh um it’s for my show on mtv”
“What’s it called maybe I’ve seen it?”
“Viva la bam”
“I think I watched an episode actually the one where you didn’t let your dad eat for 24 hours it was pretty funny”
He blushes even more after hearing that I’ve seen his show. I push my bedroom door open and immediately notice that I should of cleaned and try and pick up any clothes that have been thrown to the floor “sorry about the mess”
“Nah it’s all cool you should see my room”
“Maybe I should.” In shocked at myself for being so bold in never like this
“If you have your own show can’t you just ring up your famous friends”
“I could it’s just not as fun.”
“I probably shouldn’t be giving you this but here is one of Hugh’s famous robes he has plenty so hopefully he won’t notice. Wanna try it on?”
“Fuck yes” I laugh while sliding the robe onto him and I have to admit he still looks pretty hot.
He reaches his hands into the pocket and then pulls out a thong not just any thong my red sparkly thong. My face is probably redder than the robe and he picks up on that straight away.
“Can I keep this too….you know for the collection of course” he says with a smirk on his face. I nod and I feel my confidence rushing back agian
“You have given me the idea to start my own collection of things form famous people wanna be the first to add to the collection?”
“Y-yeah um anything in particular like my belt or sunglass-“
“How about a kiss”
“A kiss?yes yeah sure”
Seeing as he was quite a bit taller than me I reach on to my tiptoes and cup his face in my ands and slowly lean in while he bent his neck down as his arms snakes round my waist and I feel his soft lips connect with mine.
I pull away but just as I do bam pulls me back and the kiss is a lot more passionate than before. My hands move from his face round to his neck and his arms Slide Over my ass and onto my thighs supporting me by holding my ass and squeezing it every now and the as he easily lifts me up. I hear my bedroom door open and we both disconnect the kiss and he puts me back down on the floor.
“Oh sorry” his friend Ryan quickly apologises “kind of have to go or they are going to kick us out don vitos trying to touch all the bunnies”
“Yep I’ll be right there”bam tells Ryan before he leaves the room. I lock eyes and can’t contain my laugh as I see my lip stick has transferred to his a bit. As it dies down i reach onto my bedside table and grab my pink sparkly pen before rolling up his sleeve and writing my number down and a big heart next to it.
“Call me I’ve got to see your room sometimes remember”
“Oh I definitely will”

When We Cease to Understand the World, Benjamín Labatut [started 02/24, finished 03/14] What an outstanding example of blurring the lines between fiction and reality. I am content in never knowing what’s real and imaginary in the lives of these people. May we never forget that for every new idea challenged, there is a real person with real emotions and motivations behind it. 4.25⭐️ in storygraph. — No Stopping Us Now: A History of Older Women in America, Gail Collins [started 03/03, finished 03/30] This book makes some strong points, but comes off weak in its execution. By having it be told decade by decade, it becomes hard to follow along when so many names and events are being tossed around. Without a firm thread tying all the themes together, the achievements ended up feeling lackluster when it should leave you feeling a sense of pride and hopefulness. 3.25⭐️ in storygraph (I rounded up, but it feels more like a 3.15)
Tumblr media
23.5 Degrees, GMMTV [started: 03/08, ongoing] What a breath of fresh air!! With my busy schedule, I managed to catch the first two eps and I’ve loved every minute of it. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, while still keeping a tight grip on its sense of identity. The series soaks up every aspect of its space theme like a sponge. Content specifically made for me, tysm! As much as I have tried refraining from consuming more high school settings, I couldn’t help but be enamored by what I have seen so far. I have paused this series for now, but hopefully I’ll be caught up before the end of April. I should be able to watch it live on Fridays in May. Until then, I will miss them dearly! — Always a Witch, Netflix [started 03/28, in progress] At this time, I have only seen episodes 1-5. So far, it’s a very straight-forward series. I am restraining myself from calling it predictable, because there are one or two things that really turns some tropes/themes on its head. But all-in-all, I am still waiting for this show to grab me. For a show that checks all the boxes that really makes a core jessi show, a series with time travel, magical realism, and found family, it has yet to completely sweep me away. Time really got away from me this month, but I will finish this series sometime in the next two weeks. We shall see if the latter half gets better.
Tumblr media
Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour (Taylor’s Version) [watched 03/15 thru 03/18] I have seen this live and did see the original film in theaters last year, so this experience was more of a rewatch. This time around, my parents wanted to watch some of it with me so we made a whole evening of it on 3/15 so that was really neat. I will be traveling a lot in April and will be taking an audio copy of this to keep me entertained. — Oscar Nomination Season [started 02/17, ended 03/24] All of my initial reactions of what I managed to cover this Oscar season is in this post. Some of the strongest categories I have had the pleasure of covering this year were the Best Documentary (feature), Best Production Design, Best Live Action Short, Best Documentary (short), and Best Animated Film. I have several more films to tackle later this year, but my overall impression this Oscar season was just alright. One or two films have hit an extremely high note for me, but no worst of the worst.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
BEYONCÉ, Beyoncé [relistening] During the pandemic, I really got into waching YT reaction channels reacting to full albums. One of my favorites is HTHaze and he is only beginning his listening journey through Beyoncé’s discography (yes, for the first time!) His reaction to Beyoncé’s self-titled made me want to relisten to it in full for the first time in years. I tend to only revisit a few songs through the years, but I do love going back to albums after time has past to recontextualize everything all over again. I’ve had my longtime faves from my 20’s but in my mid-30’s, the songs that hit harder now are: Pretty Hurts, Haunted, and Jealous. — Bewitched, Laufey [first time listening] The same YT channel got me to listen to this album. I am guilty in having my first listen be through his video first before diving into her album properly. With that said, the brain rot went FULL ROT. I love LOVE her compositions. Having learned from her Tiny Desk that getting a grand piano influenced the way she wrote her songs makes the whole conception so much grander. Her voice is soooo, it’s SOOOOO !!!!!!! I read a comment somewhere that her dream is to rejuvenate jazz the same way Taylor Swift did with country for a younger generation and that really spoke to me. I truly believe she is heading in the right direction in achieving that. My favorite run of songs goes from: Haunted, Must Be Love, While You Were Sleeping, Lovesick, California and Me, Nocturne (Interlude), and Promise. Those seven songs in that succession is so GOOD, ahH! — Once the Musical [relistening] Every spring, I fall into a Once spiral and it just gets deeper and deeper. This time though, I only tackled the core faves on YT rather than committing to the full audio (w/ Arthur Darvill and Joanna Christie). Although Arthur Darvill’s Leave will forever solidify his Guy as my Guy, Declan Bennett is The Guy of Guys for me. My mandatory relistening experience always goes: Arthur’s Leave, Arthur’s Say It To Me Now, Declan’s Say It To Me Now, Declan’s When Your Mind’s Made Up, Zrinka's If You Want Me, Once’s Spotify Jam Session. And it would all be on a loop lol. — Cowboy Carter, Beyoncé [first time listening] This is still fresh in my mind, having only listened to it in its entirety once through. My first impression is that it’s one of her most cohesive albums to date. Having had the first taste of what she would eventually achieve all the way back with Lemonade and The Gift, Cowboy Carter feels like a natural progression in her discography. I don’t have a top songs list to provide at this time, as I would need more time with the album. Fav songs come with time. Although, I did listen to 16 CARRIAGES when it was released several weeks ago and I knew then it would be a spectacular album. What a phenomenal single to lead a phenomenal homecoming.
Tumblr media
Where’d You Go Bernadette, written by Maria Semple and narrated by Kathleen Wilhoite [started 03/22, finished 03/29] I… I didn’t like this. And that’s alright. Even if I didn’t like the premise or the characters, I did enjoy the format of the narrative and the narrator (especially her singing!!). But in the end, this was just not meant for me.
As it is still March when I am writing this, I wanted to endcap Women’s Month with a special shoutout to two women in my life that have been working with me to improve my overall well-being: Wendy (personal trainer) and Sofia (life coach). I am in a better headspace because of the work and trust they have in me to build a life I want. I cannot wait to see what I am capable of this time next year.

And that's the episode.
WELL THAT WAS FUCKED UP
And that's it for today. Up next will be finishing episode 5 of Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts! I will hopefully see you tomorrow for that!
Before I go, I’d like to plug both my blog’s Patreon and my Twitch/Youtube Patreon. Patreon is my only source of income, and while I make enough to cover rent and bills (I make about $700-800 a month) I don’t make a ton of money from it and haven’t been able to save anything up for emergencies (medical or otherwise) in the last decade or so.  Every dollar helps, so if you’re willing, please consider pledging a dollar or two. Also, there's a slot open on my stream Patreon where you can pick a game for me to play once a month, so grab that before it's gone!
Thank you all for tuning in, and thank you to my 38 blog patrons, who make it so I can do this for a living!  I’ll see you next time!
IN OTHER NEWS:
I recently completed my first playthrough of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth!  You can see the full playlist of those streams by clicking here!
I have an ongoing first playthrough of Final Fantasy XIV that I’ve been streaming on Twitch! If you’d like to tune in when I’m live, I stream it every Saturday at 1 PM EST, and I upload my stream VODs to my Youtube channel!  If you’d like to see that playlist, click here!
If you’d like to help me pay my rent, buy me some food, or help with my bills and medicine, please use my direct donation link!  If you’d like to support me per liveblog completed every month, please pledge to my Patreon!  If you’d like to support my streams or pick a game for me to stream, you can pledge to my stream Patreon too!
You should also go pledge to Gio’s Patreon, or his Sponsus–our Discord server maintenance tech and creator of Rubybot deserves far more than I can afford to pledge to him by myself.
If you’d like more of me and my content:
My Episode Lists master page, where you can find every show and liveblog I’ve done!
My Discord server, where you can come hang out with me and other fans, check out member liveblogs, and join community gaming guilds!
My Twitch channel, where I stream variety games almost every day!
My Youtube channel, where you can check out past streams!
My ask blog, where you can send me questions and comments!
My Twitter, where I make announcements about liveblogs and streams!
My merch store, where you can get shirts, mugs, stickers, and more!
It’s your kindness and support that lets me do this stuff, and I wouldn’t be where I am without all of you to do it for.  Thank you all so much for your support, and for tuning in every episode!

OKAY SO
art block has been beating me up so I don’t have any incentive art but
Y’all remember the fish inside a birdcage animatic, right?
(Here is that if you haven’t seen it!!!!)
The song ends before the final instrumental and chorus. That’s because I didn’t want to spoil the end of the arc as the only ideas I had for that section were for the end. But… if you get TMNT: Reticent and The Children’s Garden through Round 3 of the @non-rise-tmnt-au-competition ,I’ll release Donnie’s side of this arc from start to end!!! (As Raph’s is still being finalised so I’m being a bit cautious when it comes to sharing stuff from that). Hopefully this’ll clarify some of the parts of the animatic that are a bit confusing without context!!! I love this arc so much so I’d really like to share it with y’all!!! Also if I share that it means I can finish the animatic which would be cool‼️‼️‼️
If we get through this round, the next round’s incentive will be the entire season 1 overview!!! (Dee’s side of this arc is almost entirely based in Season 2 so only one episode will have been revealed this round)
I actually really like the iteration we’re up against (Teenage turtle ninja mutants!!!!) so like if we get tied that’ll be super cool‼️‼️‼️‼️💪💪💪
VOTE FOR TMNT RETICENT/THE CHILDRENS GARDEN‼️‼️ A tie would be cool though :)

Ok I’m finished being sad and am back with the delusion byler s5 proof
Long post warning also spoiler warning
OK LETS MAKE A LIST
1. First of all the most obvious one. They’ve been building up this whole relationship since season 1. It would be really weird for them to just suddenly abandon it.
2. Related point, but Mike’s character. You’re telling me he suddenly went from loving Will with his whole heart and making everything about Will to just suddenly ignoring him? The only explanation is internalised homophobia (you make me feel things I believe are wrong so I’m just gonna seperate myself from you so I don’t feel that) nothing else makes sense.
3. It’s pretty much confirmed that Will likes Mike with that painting scene so 50% of the way there!
4. The painting scene itself. Surely at some point Mike will talk to El about it and it will be revealed that everything Will said was just coming from him and not El. Then Mike will hopefully go and kiss him. Please.
5. Once again the painting scene, but Mike’s reaction this time. When Will was talking about it, Mike had the biggest most lovesick expression on his face ever. And then when Will said El “commissioned it” (I was crying so hard like he put so much effort in and he just sacrificed it to push El and Mike closer even though it was killing him) Mike’s face just dropped instantly. It was incredibly obvious he wanted Will to say he made it.
6. The season 3 ending. Bruh when El said I love you and kissed Mike, he did not look happy. He didn’t look angry or anything, he looked CONFUSED. as in, why am I not happy??? confused. I’ll tell you why you dumb oblivious fuck it’s bc you’re not in love with her you’re in love with Will.
7. Mike’s speech was basically all lies (I’m gonna make a seperate post about it bc it would take too long) AND he had to be pushed into saying it. So. Many. Times. Will had to talk him into it even when El was literally DYING. He has failed to say I Love You to El every single time he’s actually looking her in the eyes (even when she’s literally explicitly asking him to say it). Why? BC HES LYING!!!
8. That last shot of s4 with El standing in front of three couples. Jopper, jancy (idk about these guys), and BYLER. they’re always paired together in everything and what would be the point of not to make them a couple? They don’t do this with any one else who wasn’t dating or had previously dated, like Lucas and Dustin, so they’re not just “best friends”.
9. All the tension. Lip staring, lovesick smiles, longing glances, really just them checking each other out all the time. Either Finn and Noah have something to share with the class or they’re being told to act like that.
10. Once again, we know the ships have been planned since s1. El was literally supposed to die at the end of that season. M*leven being endgame doesn’t make sense. Plus most of their kisses before s3, Millie had to talk them into.
11. (Lol) The costume design. Are you telling me it’s a coincidence they literally wear nothing but blue and yellow for the entirety of s4? Blue and yellow meet in the west???
12. That part with the “he’ll come crawling back to you” with El about Mike. And did he? No! It took him so long to apologise. HOWEVER. Literally the next episode he literally does that with Will after their fight. BIT FRUITY OF YOU MIKE!!!
13. Once again, the I love you fight. Mike is was SO OBVIOUS what she wanted you to say. He “didn’t want to say it bc he were scared it would make losing El more painful”? He was going to lose her BECAUSE he didn’t say I Love You. So why exactly can you not say it???
Byler will be canon. Do not lose hope guys.

INSIDERS NEWS!!!
Tumblr media
it’s almost here. 11 straight minutes of poorly executed humor. feel free to not feel excited at all. i’m hoping to finish this shit off tomorrow but that’s all but hope.
notes and extras below the cut
i am sooooo glad i am almost done witj this shit (exclusively because i want to work on the next one) i kind of forgot how funny it is because i’ve watched it literally like 10000 times but my friend who’s never seen it before laughed his ass off watching it and my other friend who only ever half-pays attention to me at all times still got a few good audible laughs in.
I hope people fucking watch this shit man. Seriously. This is probably one of the crazier things i’ve chosen to set my heart to. Writing, recording, drawing, editing, I did it all just to have insiders media. i’ve been working on this for far too long because i only remember to work on it every time my birthday comes around. in all honesty this should have been out like 2 years ago if i could get myself to pay attention to anything. here’s some extra shit

SnakeFace episode 15 script
[prone to change]
[script under cut]
<Thursday morning, April 8>
“Rain still not giving up?” Joey trodded down the stairs in a robe and slippers.
“Is that my robe?” Kim asked.
  “You aren’t wearing it.”
“Touche. You can take it if you want, I never wear it.”
  “How kind of you.”
“And yes, it’s still raining,” Val said, lounging on the loveseat.
  “Where are Hans and Ivan?”
“Ivan’s still in his room, I think,” Kim said in a low voice, holding a mug in her hands. “Nothing on Hans.”
Joey nodded and walked across the room. “At least it’s not storming anymore. Still, it’s a lot of rain in 14 hours for early April.”
“Just be glad it isn’t flooding,” Val said. “I live on the cliffside, so when it floods the water level makes the house shake. Trust me when I say it is not a fun experience.”
Joey looked out the window. “You think they’ll call off school?”
“Doubtful,” Kim said. “Unless there’s a flood warning.”
The three of them waited a while longer for Ivan to join them in the den. Kim was making breakfast by then.
“Is it still raining?” The snake asked groggily.
“Take a guess,” Joey said. “It’s not coming down as hard as it was last night, but the winds are terrible right now.”
“Is that enough to cancel school, because I’m really not feeling like going today?”
  “It couldn’t hurt to check.”
Ivan and Joey sat on the couch to check the weather app, and then the school’s daily newsletter.
“Looks like this is the least rain we’re getting all day. It’s supposed to storm again this afternoon. Principal Reid says it’s better not to show up today because of the wind. Looks like you get to stay home, Ivan.”
Ivan practically melted into the couch.
“My packages will still be delivered though, right,” Val grumbled. “I hate late packages.”
“Mail deliveries shouldn’t be delayed until after two, so I think you’re good, Val.”
Val whispered a silent victory “yes” to himself. “Oh, crap, what about Hans?”
“We could probably make a quick trip to his house and back before the weather gets too serious. Honestly, I’m surprised they cancelled school at all.”
“Maybe principal Reid doesn’t feel like driving in the rain,” Kim came into the room. “Food’s ready. Could someone go get Hans?”
Val toppled onto the floor. “I’ll get him. We’ll drop him off after breakfast.”
Ivan’s mom left soon after Kim finished cooking. She was off to look for another job to apply for. It was hard for Ivan not to have his mom around; he relied on her for a lot of things. He did have Kim to help him most of the time, but sometimes you just need that comforting “mom” presence.
Ivan and Val went with Hans while Joey and Kim stayed at the house. This was mostly in case Val managed to get lost again on his way home, and Ivan had a pretty good sense of direction. That, and Joey didn’t feel like getting dressed. <add a fun panel of Joey refusing to take off the robe>
“Come over again whenever,” Ivan said. “Hopefully next time Kim’s parents are home too.”
“Thanks, I’ll see you tomorrow,” Hans said before closing the front door.
Val and Ivan hadn’t had a lot of time to hang out with just the two of them, but then again Ivan never really hung out with anyone one-on-one other than Kim.
“So, Val,” Ivan said as they turned around. “You said you lived on the cliffs; what’s your house like?”
“It’s pretty big,” Val answered. “Really old, too. The inside is always dark because, well, vampires. I try my best to stay out as much as possible, though.”
  “Really? Why?”
“My family has never been super fond of me. My sister and I are… different from the rest of my family.”
  “Different how?”
“Maybe another time. I think you’d like my sister, though. Anyway, back to the house. When I am home, I usually stay in my room or the music hall.”
  “You have a music hall?”
“It’s more of a living room with a piano in it. No one knows how to play but my parents, though, and my dad hasn’t played in decades. I’ve never actually heard him play before. But my mom loves the piano. Any time she plays, she puts her whole heart into the piece.”
“So I take it you have a good mom?”
“I do love her a lot. She spends most of her time with my dad, though, so I don’t get to spend time with her that often. She’s really the only one of my family members other than my little sister that actually acknowledges my existence. My older brother and sister and my cousins… not so much.”
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to bring up-”
“Don’t worry about it, dude. It’s not like I care about what they think, anyway. I’m my own person, and what they say about me doesn’t matter.”
Ivan admired the confidence in Val’s statement, but he could tell it wasn’t the full truth.
“You know, I might take you guys by my house sometime. It doesn’t have a stargazing tower, but it has its charm.”
  “It sounds really cool.”
Val smiled. The wind started to pick up as they reached the woodline. They passed a delivery truck on their way down the street. When they got back to the house, several packages were sitting on the doorstep. Val’s face lit up.
“Aw, man, we could’ve picked up some paint on our way back,” Val stood in front of the boxes.
“Well, we can get the packages inside and then ask Joey and Kim if they want to go back out with us.”
“I doubt we’ll get Joey out of that robe, but we can try.”
Kim moved the boxes into Val’s room with ease (she used magic). They pitched the idea of going out shopping before the next storm hit.
“It wouldn’t hurt,” Kim said. “We could use some groceries, too. It is a pretty far walk, though…”
“I got this,” Joey said. “My sister’s place is on the way, we can walk there and I can get my car. Gives me an excuse to finally bring the rest of my things here.”
“Alright, you go get dressed and we’ll be on our way.”
Joey moped up the stairs as he took off the robe. He came back down quickly, his shirt only halfway on as he ran to the door. He straightened his clothes out. “Okay, let’s go.”
