Daily Spell: November 15th
Herbal Home Blessing
You'll need:
A white candle
Dried sage and rosemary
A bowl
This time of year, the nights are growing dark, and it's not uncommon to feel uneasy. You may not even realize why, but if you start feeling restless, like something is just off, do this simple home purification spell to get things back to normal.
Light the candle, and focus on the idea of purification energy making its way around your home. As you do, rub the sage and rosemary between your palms over the bowl, crumbling them into a fine powder. Walk around your home, focusing especially on doors, windows, and other openings, and drop pinches of the herb blend onto the floor near the base boards. While you're doing this, say “My house, my place, bless this entire space.”
Use the entire earth blend, and extinguish the candle.

Practical Home Magic: The Front Door
I'm a bit of a homebody, so it only makes sense that my primary focus in my magical practice is on my home. When I establish myself in a new place or renew my home's protections, I follow the same pattern every time.
The name of the game is layers. Having a single layer of protection over the entire home, not unlike a bubble or a garden wall, is fine for plenty of people. I've always been a magnet for spirits, though, and I like to include more in my walls to bring in what I want, not just keep out what I don't. So, like paint, I need more than just one coat.
And as you do with most places, I like to start at the beginning: the front door.
This is the first part of a series all about magic in the home, currently exclusive to Ko-Fi supporters! You can get early, extended, and exclusive access to my work for as little as $1. If you like my work, consider leaving a tip!

Safeguard Your Home: The Essential Guide to Installing Gutter Guards
Thorough Cleaning: The foundation of effective gutter guard installation is a clean gutter. Remove all debris, including leaves, twigs, and dirt, to prevent future clogs and ensure the gutter guards can perform optimally.
Precise Measurements: Measure the length and width of your gutters to accurately determine the size and amount of gutter guards you need. This step is crucial to avoid shortages or excess material, ensuring a seamless installation process.
Select the Appropriate Material: Consider the typical debris and weather conditions in your area when choosing gutter guards. Materials range from sturdy metal for heavy foliage areas to flexible foam for fine debris. The right choice will greatly enhance the efficiency and lifespan of your gutter system.
Customization is Key: Using simple tools, such as scissors or a utility knife, cut the gutter guards to match the dimensions of your gutters. Accurate trimming ensures that the guards fit perfectly, eliminating gaps where debris could enter.
Secure Installation: Place the gutter guards carefully and secure them into position. Depending on the type of guards, you may need to use screws, clips, or even snap them into place. Ensure they are firmly attached to withstand weather conditions and debris impact.
Inspect and Adjust: After installation, inspect the entire length of your gutters. Look for any misalignments or gaps and make adjustments as necessary. This final check ensures that your gutter guards are properly installed, offering maximum protection for your home.
Maintenance Checks: While gutter guards significantly reduce the need for gutter cleaning, occasional checks are essential to maintain optimal performance. Inspect your gutters seasonally, especially after heavy storms, to ensure they remain clear and functional.
Protect your home with gutter guards. Ensure seamless water flow and prevent debris buildup with professional gutter installation services, safeguarding your property for years to come.

Garlic Spell to Protect Your House from Storms
You’ll Need:
A large head of garlic
Everyone knows garlic helps to protect us from vampires, but odds are good that you don't encounter too many of them on a regular basis. Fortunately, garlic also comes in handy for other purposes. In particular, you can use it to protect your home from storms. If you've been growing garlic in your garden, You should have a good crop of it by now. If you didn't grow your own, pick some up at your local farmers market.
Slice the top off the head of garlic, exposing the tops of the clothes. Peel the cloves, and walk around your house in a clockwise direction. As you do, rub the sliced end of a clove on each of the door frame and window sill. While you do this, say “Wind cannot hurt us, wind cannot harm us. Rain cannot hurt us, rain to not harm us. Lightning cannot hurt us, lightning cannot harm us.”
Once again finished, take the remains of the clothes and bury them in your garden or in a pot of fresh soil in a sunny spot, so you can grow new garlic for the next year.
